Tromping in the woods
Went for a walk in the woods this afternoon looking to see what kind of spring activity I could find.
Some color is starting to pop out in places, and other things are off to a slow start.
We got a couple days of rain coming after a nice day of sunshine. That should help coax things along. It has been rather cold here yet.

Happy Hump Day y’all
It’s about ten minutes before sunrise. Kind of hard to tell but I thought these layered clouds are kind of interesting.
There was a large storm that passed through here last evening. There was a blast of thunder that was so forceful that it shook houses for miles around. I had to get up and check outside to see what the hell happened.
Looks like a gym day today, too crummy outside for yard work today.

Happy Tuesday
There was only heavy clouds this morning, so no sunshine pictures at dawn today. Later on things cleared and I was out and about. I saw this one while out shopping and it is usually the first one to show off at this wood lot corner.
It’s getting real windy now. I wish it would calm down so I could be outside and not freeze.

Here comes Monday-
The beginning of a new week here is off to a cold start. The temperature is right at freezing 🥶
I got the grass cut yesterday but it was cold and windy then too. I had to put on some winter gear to get it done.
We are getting close to the time when I will be planting the vegetable garden. If the sun stays out, I will be out there cleaning that up.

Found another daffodil growing on its own way out in the corner of the farm field behind me.
Here it is, or was 😩. I took this yesterday afternoon and now it’s gone. Annnd -

Saw on a weather cam that the Sam Laud ship was heading up river, so I drove to the Zilwaukee Bridge to get pics.
You don’t realize how huge these vessels are until they get right beside you. This shows why the bridge is so high. See the road view pics I posted 2 days ago. They blew the horn to announce their coming boy was that loud!

Yes, I made it to the gym after getting my housework chores done. Got groceries on the way back.

Be happy that we got this much of sun at sunrise because we probably won’t see it again today.
It’s going to be just a few degrees above freezing and windy today. I need to do some indoor exercises today, like pushing the vacuum around and scrubbing 😂. I will probably hit the gym after that.
