truly what i want most for season 7 is for something to happen that makes rick involve morty in his life again i guess. like idk maybe im wrong and this is the wrong thing to want but god i really truly just miss them so much and i miss the old ride-or-die nature of their relationship where they were the only people who experienced 1000% of eachother good and bad. they were literally eachothers whole life but since the last few eps of season 5 they just. Left. dont get me wrong i think it’s so beautiful how morty is literally the only person ever that rick would’ve purposely removed himself from purely for the sake of doing better by them but. that didnt work it only hurt morty wayyyyyy more than anything that would’ve happened to him by ricks side

They chuckle nervously. “I ran into the RA, Shiraishi, the other day. She wanted to know if I had, or knew anyone, that may have smuggled in a cat.”
In which Ena has a cat hidden away in her dorm room, and Mizuki makes sure she isn’t found out.

Hello!!!
It is I, the 🌠anon ^.^ (and also the same anon who once wrote an ask to you with a lil apology for not being able to finish the fic, I am indeed the same person ahahaha)
Your AU kept rotating in my head like a rotisserie chicken after that ask, despite the fact that I initially nope-d out of it so hard, and I just felt so compelled to lean into it a bit, and.... yeah, that's what we got out of it c:
I'm so very glad and happy and delighted and just... gsgakajgahajgsh, the fact that you liked my little take on the AU means the world to me!!! It's always a bit tricky to create stuff inspired by another writer, more so even than just writing fics based on canon media, and I'm really happy that I did all that right and that you saw it and even reblogged it <3
And now, don't mind me, I'm gonna go circle your fic again like a skittish cat, because I just saw you posted a new chapter, and I'm CURIOUS (but I'll take care of myself, don't worry/gen)
(Also now that I read my ask again I noticed all the mistakes I made, that's what I get for rushing to send things and not proof-reading enough, whoops/silly)
Anywhoo, hope you have a wonderful day!!! 💙💙💙
Anon!!!! Hello omg!!! It's good to hear from you again, i was wondering if you were the same person when i read that fic bc of what you said before the submission-- ive been beaming you the good energies ever since i got that first ask ❤️❤️❤️❤️ im real glad you're taking care of yourself!!! And im so genuinely flattered you were so inspired by the au despite being unable to finish the fic 🥰🥰🥰🥰 i know some writers dont always like stuff inspired by theirs, but im not one of them; as long as i receive credit, i'll always be excited to see what other people make using my ideas!!!
I did indeed update, and i trust you'll know if you need to back off again, but i do feel compelled to warn you theres still a lot of explicit suicidal ideation and a second attempt being planned in that chapter!! However, that attempt wont be successful, and like i mentioned before, the ultimate ending for this fic is a happy/hopeful one, so hopefully thats a good reassurance that things WILL get better.
If you want a little summary of what happens in it, i'll be happy to give you the cliff notes version so you can still know whats going on without having to immerse yourself in it. Take care anon, i hope you have an excellent day too :]

Sorry but I AM still thinking about Bonnie Parker's poetry. It's the fact that of the four poems of hers that are online, two of them are directly about her or Clyde, and two of them are stories of other characters that carry similarities with herself. Three of them end with a direct reference to death, and even the one that doesn't still ends with a kind of promise to hold out "Now 'till the last." (The Street Girl being a poem about a woman who will never marry then person she loves because of her rough past).
(An interesting note, Bonnie never married Clyde, but she did die wearing a wedding band. It was that of her former husband's who she'd never actually properly divorced from. He himself was in prison for a large part of the remainder of their lives, and died soon after Bonnie herself in 1933 during an escape attempt. Before his death, he was quoted saying he was glad Bonnie and Clyde went out the way they did, for it was better than getting caught.)
(Another side note, Clyde's reasoning for remaining on the run, and for preferring to shoot before risking arrest, came from his own experiences in the Texas prison system. Particularly, in the notoriously ruthless Eastham Prison farm.)
There's just something so heavy in the fact that they were so sure of how their lives were going to end. In The Tale of Bonnie and Clyde, Bonnie writes "They don't think they're too tough or desperate, // They know that the law always wins; // They've been shot at before, // But they do not ignore // That death is the wages of sin." Outlaws is all about comparing Clyde to Billy the Kid- an outlaw of the late 1800s who was shot dead by the law at the age of 21.
(Bonnie was 23 when she was killed. Clyde was 25.)
