okay here's the thing, back in danger days era my chem used to record every show they played, including soundcheck, and listen back to every one and they'd use that to experiment with new sounds and also jump off their soundcheck recording to write a lot of new material. so if i had to bet on it i'd say heavy chances are they're doing that again and ray is just going through recordings listening back to them and i doubt he was teasing anything specific on purpose yesterday. HOWEVER. i do think this means two things: a) given the quality of the recording and the way ray was messing with multiple tracks, i do genuinely believe they'll put out a live album similar in style to lotms where it's a compilation of different tracks from different dates and locations. it might even be mixed by ray (and probably doug mckean too) which would be super cool, but i don't think it'll be released super soon. and b) they're writing new music. like there's no question about it at this stage. i'd say they don't have an album finished yet but i Know they're actively working on it
