#took me about an hour to make#and then at least a week to post because Reasons#artists on tumblr#collage#mixed-media#illustration#autisticart#i have multiple other mini art projects underway. this is- no joke- the first of six so far#but ive hit a slight wall on the second (i know what i need to add i just gotta find an image that matches up with that idea)#so it might be awhile til its done and posted#and the third i literally have to start over on so. again might be a grip#which is frustrating because the FOURTH art project is already finished#but i wanna post these all in the order i started em because its like- stream of consciousness#theyre not all about the same subject or anything#but you can sort of see like some vague themes/motifs shared between one and the next#nothing huge. but i think its worth preserving#this is what i get for getting so experimental on multiple art projects in a row#if id done something more basic like straightforward character portraits i wouldnt be running into so many walls#but NOOOO#i had to get ABSTRACT AND SHIT#i had to CHALLENGE MYSELF out of a LOVE OF THE GAME#so like fuck me ig#still also working on the huge art project i started in april 2022 btw. on and off#just kind of doing other stuff too to keep my momentum up#still havent quite got the hang of balancing it all. but practice makes perfect

Blending into the norm, while being aware you're different requires a titanic effort. It feels like thousands of questions drilling into your head over and over again. Questions that seldom have answers or explanations.
I grew up believing that something inside me was broken, or simply not working as it should. Like building a house on rotten foundations, I forged my identity around distrust, misunderstanding, uncertainty, and fear…
But today, I finally understood that there was nothing to fix within me. I learned to love that house with its crumbling roof and cracks in its walls… Because through all those crevices, the golden sunlight streamed in, reminding me that it had always been there, from the very beginning.
Today, I raise my voice as a cry of rebellion in support of those who cannot find their place in the world and who, despite all the obstacles, continue to move forward, offering their best version.
To all autistic and neurodivergent individuals, never stop believing in yourselves, you are part of the light that brings hope to this chaotic world.

Let's fight an epic battle!
Summary: Remy meets an otherworldly catboy...
Characters: Remy Ratatong (they/he), Ar Tate (made by @autisticartate)

"...Eh?"
"YOU HEARD ME RIGHT! Let's Tetris, right here, right now!"
"...Sir, I'm trying to w-work..."
For most of the denizens of the small village known as Primp, this would be a regular occurrence - for one Remy Ratatong, however, this was completely out of the ordinary.
A fairly tall man with what appeared to be cat ears stood over Remy, trying and mostly failing to appear intimidating.
Key word "mostly".
"If you could just get out of the way, I need to get back to the supply closet...?" He suggested quietly.
"And why should I?!" The strange man demanded, "I've been utterly dying to compete with someone, and you're the most eligible person I've found yet, so... battle me!"
...This guy talks like Schezo, but even more dramatic.
"Sir, please, itll only take a sec," Remy said, "A-after, I'll battle with you.."
"My name is Ar, not SIR!" The now identified "Ar" yelled angrily, "How about you battle me first, then you get to search your so-called 'supply closet'?"
"My 'so-called'..." Remy said in pure disbelief, "...Okay. If it'll make you leave me al-alone."
"Glad you've finally seen sense! Now, to battle!" Ar exclaimed, "Tetris..."
"Puyo-puyoo~" Remy responded lazily, beginning the battle.
And thus, the epic battle of two pro players began!
...Well, not quite epic.
Similarly to Remy's very first Puyo battle, he hardly tried to do much at all, just keeping the puyos from stacking too close to the top as he got several five- and six-chains.
Ar, on the other hand...
"Ack! Owch!"
"This must be the end for me..."
"You're hopeless! You're pathe-"
"ACK-"
After several minutes of this "Ar" desperately attempting to survive Remy's attacks, the overly kind Ratatong decided to tone it down a notch.
But even with Remy not completing any chains except for the odd one-chain to keep him in the game, his opponent wasn't faring well at all.
About twelve minutes into the battle, Remy checked Ar's board, deciding to simply watch him play.
Ar wasn't doing any hard drops. He wasn't even pushing his pieces to go down faster.
Most impressively of all, it appeared that Ar wasn't holding a single piece.
"Are you going easy on me?" Remy asked, curious. This guy didn't seem like the type to do such a thing, but...
"Going easy- I'm putting all I have into this battle!" Ar retorted.
"Ah, well, you aren't harddropping, or doing any t-spins, or anything special at all, so I just thought-"
"WELL you thought wrong! I simply use...alternative tactics in my battles!"
"Alternative... B-but, do you even know how to harddrop at all? It's a really important, uhm, technique." Remy said, now feeling incredibly awkward.
Ar scoffed. "'Hard drops' mean nothing to me! My techniques are clearly far beyond your level if you think that simply being 'fast' and 'efficient' is what it takes to be good at Tetris!"
"But..."
Suddenly, the two heard a noise neither of them were expecting - the noise of too many Puyos causing Remy's board to break.
"O-oh, well..." Remy said, falling to the ground in his signature 'loser pose'.
"I won?" Ar said, clearly in shock before shaking his head and recomposing himself, "OF COURSE I won! I'm the greatest Tetris player in the multiverse! Nobody can stand in my way!"
"R-right, okay, now that that's over with... I really need to get back to work," Remy sighed, "My boss won't fire me, but I don't want to leave everyone to do my work..."
Remy began the short walk to the supply closet... and Ar followed him.
"You're the first person I've battled in quite some time. Clearly, this means we were meant to be together!" He announced.
"...'Scuse me?" Remy said blankly.
"You heard me! Your sudden presence must be a good omen... Obviously you shall be the one to bring me to my goal!"
"If your goal's also the supply closet, then sure, otherwise I can't help you." Remy said, then began completely ignoring Ar.
"My goal is far beyond that - it's to the stars! The SS Tetra... I must find it, battle Tee, and reclaim my rightful place as Tetris King!" Ar began ranting, "Of course, you shall be assisting me, as you're clearly almost as powerful as I am! Now, my plan is this..."
And so he continued, all throughout Remy's time at work, until Remy went home and locked Ar out in the rain like the sopping wet flea-covered stray cat he was.

@purplefeathersandblackleather, you inspired me to start sharing my projects despite how self conscious I am. I give you the handmade address sign that my uncle made when he was a young child. I was able to copy his handwriting via stencils (we have similar handwriting so that helps) this sign has so many memories both good and bad. My grandma sadly had to sell her house because it was falling apart and she couldn't afford it any longer. I remember going over to her house and spending the night when I was younger as well as making pancakes and anything else you could imagine. I forgot to take a before picture but this sign is a piece of pine that was very rough and would give one splinters when you touch it. I sanded it down with 2 different grits of sand paper on the sides and used a wire brush similar to a grill brush on the front and back. I hope she loves it as much as I do. It's something small that will help her remember all the good times in that house. As well as forget the tragic memories in that house. (all the pain despair, depression, and death) her husband whom she loves so much died at home from smoking related issues before I was even born. She hasn't been the same since and refused to try to find someone else. I will be posting a finished picture as well when it's done.

Am I hoping on the #moonknight art train late? Perhaps, but in any case #khonshu has always been one of my favorite #ancientegyptian gods and in fact ancient Egypt was my first special interest way back when I was four or five years old… then I later discovered #theelderscrolls and well the rest is history :) It’s also been a while since I’ve done anything #markerdrawing related in my sketchbook but I got a new Rendr sketchbook and wow the no bleed through thing is true! I also have a massive pile of washi tape, most of which I use for taping off #watercolorpaper that I’ve been trying to go through and since Khonshu is associated with the night sky I thought I’d use some of my space washi tape to add some detail for the background.
