Hope this isn't an ask you get all the time, but how do you track your progress when you're doing editing?
Everyone talks about word goals, and that seems fine for a first draft, but doesn't make sense to me when it comes to revisions. Do you have any kind of system for setting daily goals for your revisions?
Actually, I don't think anyone's ever asked me about this. :) So no sweat.
Briefly: I think you're wise in not attempting wordcounting in this phase of dealing with an MS—or trying to push yourself into a structure so rigid. ...There's this, too: there's a whole lot too much emphasis out there at the moment on trying to force yourself into other people's writing and editing paradigms—so many of them riddled with bar graphs and "demonstrable" daily progress. You need to find what works for you. More words dealt with in a day, sure, that's encouraging in its way. But are they the right words?
Today’s Writer Take that will probably strike some as Hot (and ask me if I care): Some kinds of writing progress are just neither graphically nor numerically quantifiable. And damned to the least TripAdvisorally-acceptable regions of [insert your preferred underworld here] be those who’ve tried to sell people the idea that they are.
(sigh)
Now, for what it's worth: here's how I do it. Which may be useful to other people, or not so much so. And that's fine, because I'm not editing their novels. :)
(Adding a break here. Under the cut: advice + advice = advice, and some images of text I shouldn't be letting y'all see just yet... but WTF.)
Revision for me is a fairly relaxed business—unless my editor has told me WE NEED THIS ON TUESDAY, which thank sweet Thoth on his e-bike is very rare.
It also helps that I like revising. (When I was a kid, I liked liver, too. And spinach. Just call me Miss Outlier and let's move on.) I really enjoy the feeling of the work’s rough edges being filed down and the sparse places being filled out.
And also: second draft/first revision draft is nowhere near as tense for me as first draft. Because, thank God, at least there's a book.
First draft is where I sweat blood and otherwise suffer. While I can see the story just fine in my head, it's not really real for me until the first draft, whole in narrative and action, is complete on paper/in the machine. And till it's achieved at least that level of reality, I can't relax.
But by the time I hit my second/revision draft, I can be confident that any really serious problems in the novel have already been solved—because I'm an outliner. In the outline stage, potential thematic or structural troubles will routinely have revealed themselves way long ago: before drafting even got started, as I first wired the story's bones together. The successfully-executed first draft acts as proof-of-concept for that structural wiring. By the time that draft’s done, it’s immediately apparent whether the skeleton can successfully stand up by itself. And gods is that a relief when it does! You’re tempted to jump around yelling “It's aliiiiiive!" as the lightning strikes around you.*
However, if after submitting that draft my editor's found something structurally or thematically troublesome in it that I've completely missed until this point, my first order of business becomes to fix whatever their notes involve and submit the fixes. Nothing further happens until the editor sees what I've done about those problems, and until I get agreement that whatever intervention I've enacted has now sorted the problems out.
After that, everything happens in bed.
(...casually noting that for a line to use somewhere else...) :)
But seriously: I do my best revision and editing before getting up in the morning.
Some of this is because, for me, the mind's nice and quiet and (theoretically) at least moderately well rested, right after sleep. I might take the briefest glance at my email first to make sure nothing urgent needs attention... but once that’s done, I refuse to let myself go any further down that hole. That early-morning calm is a mental state I'm glad to exploit, and one I jealously guard. On days when I'm forced to do without the working lie-in**, I use a different approach: when there's a pause, sit down and do nothing—no reading, no video, no music, no phone, nothing—for half an hour: then start editing. Routinely, the quiet I need will once more have fallen.
The in-bed-editing approach also works for me because (since I'm working in Scrivener) it's absolutely no big deal to finish a day's editing on a file by exporting a version of the file containing the day's edits to ebook format, and into my Dropbox. From there, in the morning, without ever getting out from under the covers, I can pull that .epub file into my tablet and read it as an ebook, making corrections and notes there.
This is what it looks like (on a page without too many corrections) if the app you're using is "Books" in an iPad. The second image is what you get when you touch on the marginal yellow square of the note to examine it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Then, when I'm finished looking over the previous day's/evening's writing and adding notes to it, I go downstairs, get some caffeine in me, and make the changes in the main Scrivener file. (If I was running the project in question on the iPad version of Scrivener, I'd just make the change right there. But who knows when I'd actually get up, then? Better to do it this way.) :)
In the normal flow of things I'll attempt to deal with a chapter or two a day in this mode. (Always bearing in mind that my chapters in early drafts typically run long—often 10K or so—and I'm likely enough to rebreak them later.) This first level of revision is the easy one: catching typos and bad or clumsy phrasings, reworking character interactions that need smoothing out; adding better descriptive passages (with particular emphasis on staying in the visual, audio and tactile senses), etc., etc.
So again: no way I'd ever bother worrying about word counts, with these. What seems to count for more is giving yourself time to recognize, gradually, at a reader's pace, what's working in the prose and what isn't. Rush—or try to force the pace to a given number of words per day—and you run the risk of missing something vital. To me, at the tracking level, it seems sufficient to note which chapters have been dealt with, and which are still hanging fire. (I can change the chapters' color labels in Scrivener to make this status visible at a glance, if I need to.)
When everything's dealt with on this pass—which if I'm lucky will take no more than a couple/few weeks—I try to take a couple weeks off before dealing with the MS again. Sometimes that's possible: sometimes not. The longer you can leave the book alone to let your perceptions of it rest and reset themselves, the better. Distance—mental or temporal—seems to lend clarity.
In any case, for me, next comes another pass, tougher to describe. Casually, I refer to it as the "Missed Opportunities/Complications" pass. This is a thing that one of the very best writers I know, John M. Ford, used to do. One of his editors (I think it was) came across him working on an MS one time, and asked him what he was doing. "Complications," Mike muttered. "Removing them?" said his editor. Mike shook his head. "Adding them," he said.
In this pass you look for in-novel connections you've previously missed making. Some dramatic moments have their impact significantly increased if you've found a way to connect them, even casually, with previous events, situations, character thoughts, or dialogue. (The cheap and easy mnemonic for this kind of thing: "Say a thing twice, and it echoes. Say it three times, and it resonates.")
Equally, events (and people) may turn out to require more complex backstory than you've given them in your first draft; so this is where you take care of that. And of course there are almost certainly character and emotional interactions that can use attention; fewer words, more depth, more complexity. What things do these people, in this situation, need to say to one another that they haven't? And also, what drama got scamped or passed up on because you were just too damn tired in the last draft? —Because you too, poor baby, are human; and that state can, entirely logically, make you want not to deal with any more damn drama just now. Even though drama is the lifeblood of your narrative, usually, and tying a tourniquet around it really doesn't help. You are the conduit of power into your narrative, and your varying ability to conduct it is always an issue… so you need to keep an eye open for places where the flow may have temporarily failed.
This pass, ideally, might take no more than another few weeks or a month. And again, I'm not sure any attempt at wordcount tracking would do this work any good. Because, again... are they the right words? And to make the narrative more effective, you may wind up removing as many words as you added in previous passes.
Finally, with all things taken together, I usually reach a point where (by myself, anyway) I can't think of anything to do that'll make this book any better. That's where there then comes—and again, impossible to assign a word count to it—a time when you know you're as Done As You Can Be. If you've been doing this long enough, you may even hear a strange kind of sigh in the back of your head, as the book gives up and lets go...
...into the next stage of production. But even then you keep an eye on it… because in my experience it’s rare that any book's ever that easily just finished. Even in page proofs, something may happen to surprise you.
Anyway, that's when I throw the book the hell out of the house—because no matter how much I've loved it previously, by that time I'm usually seriously tired of it—and wait to see whether the editor feels it needs one more draft. (Disclosure: this has never happened. There might be a few notes that need to be handled. But another full draft? Never yet.)
Anyway: hope this is of help to you.
But the heart of it all? Find your own way, and screw the bar graphs.
*That line, too, is an indicator of trouble to come. "It's?" Not "he's"? Tsk tsk.
**Usually sort of 7-9 AM. Sometimes way earlier, depending on the time of year. Dawn comes real early in the summertime in Ireland…

The Sign - Ep 1
Ok, but The Sign has everything I like (at least for now):
coherent plot
good pacing and editing
good acting
great chemistry, relationship, interactions, scenes of the main couple
the actors and the plot sell me the romance
I support the main couple, I am so invested in their romance and story
both main actors and both characters are EQUALLY interesting and attractive to me, this is unfortunately very rare in my case
novelty of the story, unusual for BL series main couple, more reminiscent of Manner of Death than traditional BL
authentic, effortless sexiness of the romance, scenes, characters and actors
very good side characters
a well-shown "men's world" with everything: competition, proving one's worth and masculinity, cockiness, silly conversations, jokes about sex, making fun of each other, but also brotherly bonds and supporting each other
already in the first episode we have so much of good stuff: a romance between interesting guys, a whole lot of other relationships, a truly repulsive villain, a murder, mystery and fantasy. As if the series was specially created for me 😍
good balance between fun, humor, silly tropes like falling with a kiss or running away holding hands 😆, and serious scenes. The funny scenes don't overshadow/ruin the serious scenes, which unfortunately happens all the fucking time in other series
this is the third series recently with virginity discussed and the first in which a person who has not yet had a sexual debut is 1) not forced to do so, 2) not ridiculed, comments are limited to light teasing, 3) Tharn is simply asked about it and he has a chance to say why and is heard without judgment
I like literally everything
Chart is an extremely bad character, at first I hated him because I was programmed that way by ThanType. But no, he deserves complete contempt, and no Tharn, he is not a good cop and never will be, this man should be eliminated from the cop selection at this stage, he will get people killed.
Did the murder actually happen? Is this maybe one of the training sessions like we thought they were actually freeing the hostage at the beginning of the episode? 🤔🤡
Anyway, give me Billy, an equally lovely and cool actor to match, a compelling love story, a water dragon and I'll be fed with it for weeks. (also, the scene in the bathroom when Tharn reacts to Phaya's voice, the hug from behind is, I'm sorry, I don't want to offend fans of other series at all! but it is hotter than other high-heat series currently airing. Heh! even the way Tharn looks at Phaya's hand on his shoulder was hotter to me than the entire last episode of Playboyy, sorry, it's not a diss, Playboyy is fun! but, well, that's just how I feel 😉)
This is my fav series currently airing 💖💖💖💖💖

Just wanted to say I absolutely adore your comic! It reminds me of all the comics I would read when I was little (except now they're gay), the style and shading is amazing.
What would you say is your favorite part of creating your comic, and do you have any tips?
Thank you I'm so glad to hear that!
I think my favorite part of making comics is the way it sort of feels like a puzzle. It's super mentally difficult but it's extremely rewarding to figure out plots and work out my best execution of it! I also LOVE editing, it's where things get to really pull together.
As for tips, I'm not sure what you mean! so I'll just share a few tips for a few different ideas...
Saving time
to save time I save every head I've ever drawn in a file so I can reuse the head (I redraw the face) which allows me to skip the sketching stage, since I only need to sketch for heads!
Tumblr media
I also make my backgrounds a single very large image so I can reuse parts of it throughout the whole scene, recolor it for different times of day, etc, which saves a TON of time for me. Then, I just add in some spot blacks on top to make it feel cohesive with the character art! (this ALSO has saved me a TON when I've been converting my pages from scroll format to page format, as I have a high quality version of the background to use when I need the panels to be wider!)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But the biggest thing that saves me time is my line confidence.
So, next I'll talk about lineart tips!
most important is to draw from your elbow and your shoulder, instead of your wrist and fingers. this will get you cleaner lines, but will also save your body in the long run! The wrist is extremely fragile, so start learning to draw with more of your arm NOW rather than later.
Next is practicing line confidence! this basically is what gets you to draw the right line the first time, saving you a ton of time! These two tips sort of go hand in hand.
writing tips
First and foremost, you should be having fun! and I'm so serious, if you are working on a scene that feels like a drag to you, it will drag to your readers too. Whatever you feel like that scene HAS to be there for can almost definitely be accomplished in a different way!
but, really, I like to try to keep the big picture in mind. What is this scene accomplishing, what needs to happen to force these character changes, what needs to be revealed, what information about the world is canonized, etc, rather than thinking about your story as "events that have happened and will have to happen"
building off of that, my personal rule for establishing information is 3 times: If you've mentioned something three times, you can expect the audience to remember it. If you've mentioned it once or twice, it's really pretty likely they'll have forgotten by the time it's relevant.
This is getting really pretty long, I could get into character design tips, worldbuilding tips, tips for characters emoting, layout tips, marketing tips, business tips... there are SO many skills that go into making a comic, it's extremely hard to offer tips without knowing what you're looking for!

edited my post from yesterday on spiderbit eurydice and orpheus to be clearer. it is now. way longer klsdjfk. but the idea is the same. anyway enjoy reading if you do and uh. pues f if you don't, no? lskdfjsdk. kinda already mentioned it in the post but should clarify here that i'm 100% talking about the greek myth.
-
Thinking about spiderbit as eurydice and orpheus is so interesting to me, cause I think depending on how you look at it and how you think of the story, there's an argument for both. And then you remember everything that was purgatory and how clear of a parallel it is to the myth hdksjdks. Honestly though, I feel like the purgatory parallels are the biggest reason roier cubito as orpheus is winning out on that one poll, and I kinda have to disagree with that. The evidence for orpheus roier is there from the start. Roier cubito is always and forever a perfect, permanent orpheus figure even before considering purgatory, and it's down to the devotion roier and orpheus cling to and the grief they both drown in. (The rest under the read more)
Backtracking first for a bit to set the stage. There are many different versions of the eurydice and orpheus myth out there, and its nature as a myth means that interpretations (and translations of any original latin or greek versions) are always changing. Disclaimer of course that my understanding and general knowledge of the myth has been mainly influenced by the wider english-speaking cultural approach to it. I'm focusing on the orpheus archtype from my understanding of what it means (which I'll explain along the way) because otherwise if I didn't I'd end up getting too boggled down in "virgil said this according to this translation" and "ovid went more in this direction following this translator" details. and there is no way in hell i'm struggling through translating on my own with my measle little two years of latin classes under my belt lskdjfkldfj.
But regardless, here's a very basic and brief summary that most versions tend to follow: Eurydice and orpheus are married. Eurydice dies. Orpheus treks out to the underworld through the power of music to save her and get her back. He's told the only way he can have her is if he makes the treacherous trip back to the mortal realm without turning to look at her once. He looks back right before he makes it, and fails in saving her. Sounds familiar, right? slkdjfsk
Don't get me wrong, orpheus cellbit still makes sense in a way. That's part of why the poll and idea in general is so interesting. Heed the disclaimer again but to me, the biggest, most obvious, and most immediately linked connotation the myth has always had is one of devotion. Like the type of devotion that would take you all the way into the afterlife and all the way back in the hopes that that might save the person you love. Cellbit cubito is nothing if not devoted, and normally in the loudest ways possible. He loves shouting out his devotion at all times to anyone in close proximity. It just makes sense that if anyone could hold the level of devotion necessary to be orpheus it'd be him, cause we all know he'd do anything for roier.
Plus being honest, it also makes sense just going by the dynamics in their relationship that they most often present to others. Roier cubito kinda likes playing into the dynamic of asking other people to "save" him, whether that's from mobs or hunger or anything, so long as it's not something actually serious. So much so that the idiot (said lovingly) has conditioned everyone, and I do mean everyone, both islanders and audience alike, into thinking he's defenseless and needs saving. Maxo put it best that one time when he said he felt like roier after cellbit saved him from some mobs, only for cellbit to have to correct him and say that it's usually the other way around. As far as most are concerned, cellbit does the rescuing while roier gleefully asks for the help. It is very easy to make the jump from the idea that eurydice is being saved and the image of roier cubito calling out for help with a scorpion that he could (normally at least, I know he didn't have any weapons or gear that one time during purgatory) bring down on his own. It definitely doesn't help that cellbit is, of course and as always, already running to roier with a weapon in hand to kill the scorpion. At the first chance, he's already trying to help. Anything for his husband.
So it makes sense that orpheus cellbit, who clearly loves doing the saving, would drag himself through hell in his devotion to save eurydice roier, who loves being the one saved! But then you start remembering how the story came about. You start wondering, well, why does the devotion need to be so strong? Why does eurydice even need to be saved? What has brought the both of them to the gates of the afterlife? Oh. Right. It's because she died. She's dead. Eurydice, the love of orpheus’ life, is dead.
Saving her takes and is devotion, yes, but it's also an attempt to escape grief. If she’s saved, there’s no need to mourn. If she’s saved, then she’s not dead and there’s no grief. And, always, there is no one more grief-riddled than roier (except maybe maxo, whose grief has permanently killed him). No one knows more intimately than roier how tough of a fight it is to escape constant grief because he is constantly grieving, and it just keeps getting worse. His number one recurring theme since arriving on the island has been that he will lose loved ones. To the point that sometimes, even if the person is still technically around, the grief around them and the relationship that once was finds ways to persist (just look at the mess that revolved around spreen cubito before he was confirmed to be dead).
The devotion still applies to him too, of course. Even though it's in quieter ways, there's no denying that roier is as equally devoted to cellbit as cellbit is to him. Cellbit once promised roier he'd rescue him if the feds ever arrested him. Roier once told cellbit he'd go after him and wouldn't stop until he got him back if the feds tried taking cellbit again. And that's not even the only time roier has promised that, he's said similar things multiple times before. He even had to fulfill that same promise once already, back during the regret arc when cellbit went missing trying to save felps. If there is one thing that is true, it's that roier is not lacking in orpheusian devotion.
Actually, extending that devotion from being based in romantic love to also including familial love just makes it all the clearer how much of an orpheus roier has already been. Orpheus fights through the journey, holding on to hope and powering himself through devotion, because the alternative of having permanently lost eurydice, of having to succumb to grief, is too much for him to take. Roier fought through the entire island and later a dungeon, holding on to hope and powering himself through devotion, because the alternative of having permanently lost bobby, of having to succumb to the grief of loosing his son to something outside of his control, was too much for him to take.
And then they both fail. Orpheus looks back too early. Sometimes he forgets, in his excitement to be so close to the end, sometimes doubt gets the best of him and he has to check, and sometimes the need to see his love again overwhelms all his senses. Sometimes maybe it's somehow all three. Roier also looked back too early, in a way, but cucurucho only knows what way that actually was. It could have been that he technically did die right at the very end before he could make it through the dungeon, or it could have been that the gods were feeling particularly cruel that day. Either way, bobby wasn't returned to him. Either way, eurydice vanishes in the morning light after orpheus gets one last glimpse of her. Either way, Bobby vanishes behind the door after roier and jaiden are given only 10 minutes to say goodbye.
This is all without even touching on some of the details about how roier's singing charms everyone he meets and how music is such an important part of his character (for those of you unfamiliar with the myth, orpheus' connection to music is so deep that the greeks named a constellation after his lyre). Or, as notes in the last version of this post pointed out, how his previous journeys to the underworld have shaken his faith and trust (which would probably need to be a whole entire other post on its own).
Roier is just permanent orpheus. He can't help it. If you believe that characters in myths are left behind, endlessly retelling their journeys even once the book is closed, then orpheus is still there, making that trip to the afterlife and back. His story is being retold through roier, who is here now. Roier, who has already gone on two trips to the afterlife and back, already told this story twice before, and is now preparing himself for a third (even a fourth, if you want to extend this whole thing and include purgatory and the eggs). It’s retold in how Roier has to do the saving, again, because he keeps getting left behind. In how he’s always drowning in grief, in some way or another. How he’ll drag himself through the journey every single time if it means a chance at saving someone he loves. If it means saving himself from more grief.
So the stage is set. Purgatory happened. Orpheus has loved, again, and he's lost, again. Roier may like it when he's the one being saved but he's been forced yet again into a position where he has a chance to do the saving. He's facing an increasingly insurmountable mountain of grief on one side and a plunging chance at salvation on the other. The book has been turned back to its first page. The story is rewinding to tell itself again. We know what path he'll pick. Now all that’s left is to see if this third trip succeeds. To see if this retelling is one where orpheus does not look back. And if he does? Well.

Forced To Believe Chapter 33- The Answer Is No
Tumblr media
Chapter Summary: CM Punk continues to annoy Morgan with his ridiculous request. Morgan's rivalry with Tamina heats up again
Words: 6,000+
Author's Note: Lowkey tired of these total divas chapters lol. I'm going to put them on hold and focus on the main story in the ring for now as I edit.
----
'RAW, during the opening segment'
The whole roster was on the stage while The Shield were on the side of the ramp, lower than them. Morgan was in her Shield attire but her stomach was taped up. They all watched as Triple H and Stephanie walked down the ring. Stephanie started talking about giving Orton respect and honor while Triple H began talking about the dawning of a new era.
While they talked, Dean held Morgan's hand and she looked up at him as he stood next to her.
"What?" She asked.
"How's your ribs?" Ambrose asked with concern.
"They're fine." She replied dryly.
"Look, I'm sorry."
"It's okay. Just drop it."
"No, it's not." He turned to her and held her hands.
His sudden movements caught the attention of some from the roster. Even the crowd started to look at them.
She looked around before meeting his gaze. "Dean."
"I was an asshole last night..."
"Dean."
"No, I need you to listen to me. Please. I'll admit, my anger gets the best of me at times but I want you to know that I'm proud of you."
She looked around, feeling all eyes on her. "Dean, people are staring."
"I don't care. Look, I'm not used to having a girlfriend all right? I mean in a serious relationship that you and I have together. And I just felt like I always have to protect you, but you can handle yourself. You spread your wings. You're strong and the most beautiful woman I've ever met and I'm lucky to have a woman like you in my life. I know I'm not used to saying all this but you're the only one who can make me say this stuff."
"What is going on back there and what are you all staring at?" Triple H called out as the titantron showed Dean and Morgan.
"Dean..." She murmured in a nervous tone as he kneeled down and held one of her hands.
"Last night, you've given me a reality check and I know you're trying to shine on your own in the ring instead of always having me around. I accept that." He clarified as she looked at him in shock.
What the heck was going on?
Did he hit his head?
Did he just tell her what she wanted to hear for weeks?
"You drive me crazy, you can make me possessive at times but I love you and I know I have to get my act together. I just don't want you to leave me. If you did, I wouldn't know what I would do with myself."
He stood up and grabbed her face to kiss her as the crowd cheered. The kiss made her have butterflies in her stomach and she happily kissed back. Before they knew it, they were smooching.
"Ahem...ahem!" Triple H exclaimed but the two ignored him as they were too into their kiss. "Hey! Lovebirds of justice!"
His yell made them release each other and turn their heads to the ring.
"Mr and Mrs Ambrose, stay focused." The King of Kings ordered, making everyone amused
Dean and Morgan held hands while Orton walked out. Unfortunately, they all had to sit and suffer through Orton's most annoying promo ever which would be a time waster. At least, that's what Morgan thought as she rolled her eyes.
"I've got news for everyone. I am the most powerful person standing in this ring. I am the champion of champions. I am the WWE World Heavyweight Champion." Orton said.
Morgan got handed a mic by a stagehand. She thought of the words she was going to say and then put the mic to her lips.
"God...no one gives a crap!" She exclaimed as the crowd cheered and some of the roster nodded in agreement.
Orton snapped his attention to the stage and looked annoyed. "Who said that? Who just said that?"
Morgan raised her hand and grinned at him as the titantron showed her with a mic in her hands. "Hey, how ya doing?"
"No, no and no. You are not going to ruin my moment Morgan! You're supposed to be supportive of me."
"Am I now? I thought we dropped that once I kicked your ass in the ring, months ago and gave you a low blow. Now, instead of wasting everyone's time, can we wrap this up? There's grapes in catering and they're calling my name."
"Morgan. Shut your mouth. Your mouth always gets you into trouble "
"No one! Wants to hear you talk." She walked to the ramp and Cena helped her up because of her ribs. She thanked him and stood a little bit in front of the roster. "Randy, nobody wants to hear the same bullcrap every time you get in that ring. I wouldn't be surprised if people change the channel when you get in the ring and talk."
"That's not true...that is not true!"
"Let me do a scenario of what I hear from you..." She cleared her throat and decides to mock his voice. "My name...is Randy Orton." She said in a deep voice as the crowd got hyped. Stephanie and Triple H looked on in shock as the roster laughed. The Outspoken Diva mimics Orton's serious face. "The champion of champions."
"Shut up!"
She began to mock his temper. "Nobody! And I mean nobody can beat me! I am the Apex Predator and The Viper! I demand respect! I deserve respect! I am the face of this company and nobody can touch me!" she continued to pace around like she was angry.
She stopped pacing and cleared her throat, going back to her normal voice as Orton started seething. "Dude, like, come on, we get it. We all get it. You won last night. Woopy doo. Let's give him a round of applause. Now can you shut the hell up so we all can go on with our lives? Thank you and good day."
She saw Cena motioning her to give the mic to him and she gave it to him as he stood in front of the roster.
"Yes, I agree," Cena said. "You're an idiot."
"No, no, no. Turn his mic off. You will not ruin this moment for me, this is my moment. All of you need to shut up and stop trying to ruin my moment!" Orton yelled as Morgan looked amused.
"Randy...Randy...I'm not gonna ruin your moment. Last night at TLC you earned the title. Congrats. But I want to remind you of something that Stone Cold said about that championship. That championship forced you every night to put up or shut up."
"I see what you're trying to do but you will not get your rematch tonight Hunter, Hunter." Orton turned his attention to Triple H.
"Easy big guy. I wasn't talking about me. I was talking about you facing him." Cena pointed to Daniel Bryan. "Randy Orton versus Daniel Bryan. For the WWE World Heavyweight Championship."
Orton did not like the idea. "No, no. I don't have to listen to you...I don't have to listen to Morgan and I don't have to listen to Daniel Bryan or all these idiots sitting in the stands. I don't have to listen to anybody. Nobody."
"Except us," Stephanie recalled.
"Owned!" Morgan yelled.
"Morgan if you don't shut your mouth..." Orton said, trying not to lose his temper.
"You sure you want to speak to WWE's Outspoken diva like that? If I were you, I would praise her for the guts she had last night at TLC. She wrestled The Best in The World." Cena said as the crowd cheered while Punk nodded. "Heck, Punk wants a one on one rematch with her too because she impressed him."
"I honestly thought Punk was going to lose to The Shield last night but he proved me wrong. Morgan also proved me wrong," Cena continued to praise. "I thought she was going to back out but she showed guts to a man taller and bigger than her. She put her words into action as well and I give her respect for that. Now, she may have gotten her ribs hurt from Roman over there but she fought to her heart's content. I'll even bet you that she can kick your ass, Randy. And when was the last time a diva wrestled a WWE Superstar? One thing Morgan has that you don't is heart in that ring."
"No one can beat me! And I'll even beat the Outspoken of out her smart mouth." Orton snapped while Morgan grabbed the mic out of Cena's hands as he gave it to her. "And maybe Reigns didn't spear her hard enough to take away the smartness from her mouth."
The crowd booed while Reigns shot Orton a dirty look and clenched his fist. He started to get angry and was about to walk to the ramp but Dean and Seth held him back. Morgan turned her head to him and shook her head as he calmed down.
She turned her attention back to Orton. "...Are you done talking? Orton, wait until 2014. You're going to be on my hit list soon enough. Watch your back. Now, I know we all want to go backstage and get on with the show, so please do everyone a favor and get to the conclusion of this segment, thank you very much."
Orton's face was getting red as she gave the mic back to Cena.
"Stephanie, aren't you going to do something about her?" Orton asked.
"I'm not touching that with a 60 foot pole..." She replied as she remembered the history she and Morgan had and the crowd laughed.
'Backstage'
"Oh boy..." Morgan said as the camera turned to show CM Punk leaning on the wall as the crowd cheered. Punk looked at her and was about to speak but she cut him off. "I know why you're here. Punk, why are you so persistent in wrestling me? Is it because you want to take The Shield down one on one? You want to get the last laugh?"
"Everyone is talking about the men of The Shield and I want to know what The Shield's girl has in the tank. Everyone does since you gave me a preview at TLC. I want to wrestle you one on one, Morgan." he got off the wall and looked down at her. "And, I believe that you can prove you aren't the weak link of The Shield."
"There's no weak link in the oh...I see what you're doing. No wonder everyone thinks there's a weak link. You're getting in everyone's head."
"Morgan, why are you avoiding the question?"
"Why are you trying to do mind games?" She countered.
He smirked. "I know you want to wrestle me as much as I want to wrestle you."
"Don't flatter yourself...You see this?" She showed him her taped stomach. "You did this."
"And I know you want to fight me because of that. Get your revenge. Now answer the question, will you wrestle me when you're cleared?"
She sighed. "Look Punk, I'm honored-"
"But you aren't going to give me an answer because you want your boys to do your dirty work." he cut her off as the crowd 'Oohs'
She glared at him and was about to say yes but stopped herself. "I see what you're doing again. You're trying to provoke me to say yes. Look, how about this? We'll see about a match in the near future."
"I'm not giving up until you say yes." Punk called out as she started walking away.
"I know you aren't..."
'Later, in the ring'
HBK and Punk were having a promo until HBK said "This pains me, more than this is gonna pain you. Let me introduce you to your opponents."
'Sierra'
'Hotel'
'India'
'Echo'
'Lima'
'Delta'
'Shield.'
The Shield walk out as HBK got out of the ring. The titantron shows the WWE App and shows who will be Punk's tag team partners are for the match. It reveals to be the Usos as The Shield are at ringside. Punk starts mocking Roman's eye.
"Looks like Punk and The Usos are gonna have some fun." King said.
"How was that victory for CM Punk last night?" Cole asked.
"Well, you see Roman with that black eye and Morgan's stomach is taped up because of her ribs. Last night, she accidentally got speared by Roman. It was pretty hard to watch. I'm surprised she's out here tonight."
"The Shield need to be on the same page tonight. They can't have any more miscalculations tonight. Especially with Roman's spear." JBL looked on as the bell rang
"Two losses in two nights would be devastating for The Shield," King said as Jimmy took control of Dean.
"How impressive was Morgan last night against CM Punk?" Cole asked as Jimmy tagged in Jey. "I still can't believe she had the guts to take on CM Punk."
"Indeed. She held her own last night." JBL said as Jimmy took control of Seth.
"She did want to put her words into action and she proved that. There were times I thought Punk was going to pin her to win and times when I thought Morgan was going to pin Punk to win the match." King added.
"Let's go, Seth!" She banged on the apron. Seth was not looking too good as Jimmy started to take control of him with arm submissions.
Seth throws Jimmy to the ropes and hits him with a knee to the gut. Jimmy manages to clothesline himself and Seth out of the ring. Roman, Morgan and Dean were about to come to his aid but Jey and Punk got off the apron, ready to strike as the ref tried to separate them.
"Got a feeling this is gonna get out of hand," JBL said as they went to a commercial.
'Later'
"Things have not been going The Shield's way in the early going of this match," Cole said but then Seth tags in Roman as the crowd cheers.
Roman starts to take control of Jey in the ring. Dean gets tagged in and puts Jey in an arm submission as the crowd chants 'CM Punk'.
Roman and Punk make eye contact as Punk starts mocking his black eye again. Roman really wanted to get in the ring with Punk and spear him in half so badly. To at least give Morgan some closure since she can't get in the ring right now.
'We want Morgan, we want Punk, we want Morgan, we want Punk' chants surrounded the arena as Dean looked at Punk with annoyance.
Punk smirked and put a finger to his ear while Morgan looked at the crowd in surprise.
"And would you listen to this? They want Morgan in the ring." Cole said.
"I guess Punk versus Morgan is a match the crowd wants to see," JBL looked on.
Later on in the match, Jimmy hits Seth with a crossbody and tries to tag in one of his partners. Seth tags in Roman and he drags Jimmy back and puts him in a submission.
"Come on uce! You gotta fight! Come on!" Punk supported him.
"You gotta fight." Roman mocked. "Shut up."
Punk starts to hype up the crowd as Jimmy fights back against Roman and kicks him in the face. The crowd gets hyped when Jimmy tags in Punk and Roman tags in Dean. Dean and Seth get in the ring as Punk goes on the top rope and double clotheslines them. He hits them both with a running high knee and a double neck breaker. Punk then hits Dean with a suplex and pins him until Roman breaks the pin.
Jimmy gets in the ring but gets hit by a Superman punch from Roman.
"Wow, that Superman punch!" JBL exclaimed.
Jey gets in the ring, kicks Roman, and then throws him out of the ring. Jey runs and dives on top of him out of the ring but then Seth throws him into the barricade. Punk hits Seth with a suicide dive and turns his attention to Morgan.
The Outspoken Diva looked down at Roman and Seth and slowly looked up to meet Punk's gaze as the crowd popped.
"Uh oh." JBL looked on in anticipation
She took a step. "...Problem...?"
Punk pointed at her. "Just wait until those ribs are healed. We will have a match together."
Ambrose runs to the ropes, attempting to attack him but Punk turns and hits him on the middle rope. Punk gets on the top rope and attacks him with the diving elbow and pins him for a 2 count.
"Ambrose stays in it for a near fall," Cole said as Dean started bleeding from the head while Punk put him in the GTS.
Seth gets in the ring as Punk releases Dean and hits him off the apron. While Punk was distracted, Dean tags in Roman. Dean runs to Punk as he ducks his clothesline and Roman gets kicked in the face by him. Punk hits the GTS on Dean but when he turns around he gets speared by Reigns as Morgan looks on with a satisfied look.
"A spear! A spear to Punk! Reigns is the legal man." Cole called out.
Roman looked at Morgan as she mouthed 'Thank You' and he nodded.
He pins Punk for the win as he holds his eye.
"The winners of this match, The Shield," Justin announced.
"This was a much needed victory tonight," Cole said as The Shield got over the barricade and celebrated.
'SmackDown'
Morgan was at ringside while The Shield, Cena and Punk were in the ring. They all just found out that Daniel Bryan got attacked by the Wyatts and the match will now be a 3 on 2 tag team match.
"Here we have the Outspoken Diva, Morgan Lopez on commentary with us. How are ya?" JBL asked
"I'm doing all right. Trying to take it easy." She smiled.
"The Shield look pretty confident now that the match is a 3 on 2 match," Cole said as Punk and Dean started the match. "What do you think of this match?"
"Honestly? It's anyone's match. Why? Because Punk outsmarted The Shield at TLC when he was alone. And now he has John Cena in his corner. The guy who never backs down from anything. It's going to be one interesting match." She replied as Punk and Cena took control of Dean.
Later on in the match, Roman hit Cena with a Superman punch and grinned.
"Roman Reigns hit Cena so hard," Cole exclaimed as he tagged in Seth. "And here comes to underrated Seth Rollins."
"I agree. This guy is awesome. He kicks ass every week and continues to prove himself." Morgan added.
"There are a lot of people who underestimate Seth Rollins," Cole said. "So, Morgan, we see that your stomach is still taped up. Are you in a hurry to get back in the ring?"
"Yes, but the rest of the women are kicking butt in the ring and proving themselves. I'm just looking forward to the competition."
"Who would you like to face?" JBL asked.
"Hm...either Naomi, Brie, Kaitlyn, or Aksana. Aksana has improved in the ring and even on NXT. I want to see what she got." She replied.
Seth puts Cena on the turnbuckle and is about to give him a suplex but Cena fights back and pushes him off. He tags in Ambrose but he gets hit with a tornado DDT by Cena.
"This is John Cena's opportunity," JBL said.
Cena tags in Punk as the crowd goes wild. Ambrose tags in Seth and Punk starts to take control.
"Looks like Punk is going to fly," Cole exclaimed as Punk hit Seth with a suicide dive.
The match was at a fast pace as Punk gave Seth an elbow drop off the ropes. When he gets up, he looks at Morgan.
"What?!" Morgan yelled. "Stop staring at me!"
Cole started chuckling. "Looks like Punk is trying to do some mind games."
"You see? Every week he looks at me, trying to taunt or provoke me to wrestle him." She grumbled.
Punk smirks and does the GTS taunt towards her before putting Seth in the GTS position. Ambrose runs in the ring but gets hit with a neckbreaker along with Seth. Punk pins Seth but Roman breaks it up.
"And let the chaos begin." She added as Punk and Reigns go at it.
Ambrose and the rest of The Shield jump him and it results in a DQ. Cena throws Roman out of the ring and throws him to the barricade. He gets back in the ring to attack Ambrose. But when he turns around, he gets speared by Reigns.
"Tsk, tsk, tsk, and this is why you should always watch your back." She said and took off the headset.
The Shield started to attack Punk and hit Cena with the triple powerbomb. Punk spears Seth and starts unloading on him until The Shield gains the upper hand. Big E runs down the ring as the crowd gets hyped and Morgan gets on the apron.
"Guys! Let's regroup!" She shouted but watched as The Shield got thrown out by Big E.
Punk gets in the ring with Big E and looks at her. The Outspoken Diva decides to get in the ring, too.
"You two proved your point." she declared.
"You sure that's a good idea, Morgan? Bad ribs and all?" Cole asked.
"She can be reckless at times," JBL mentioned.
Punk starts taunting her which makes her furious. The anger was too much for her and she decided to slap him in the face.
"Uh oh!" JBL exclaimed as Punk held his face.
"You're angry, aren't you? So am I gonna have that match? Don't you wanna try to hurt me? Get your revenge?" Punk provoked before she slapped him once again.
"Shut up!" She snapped.
"Hey! What was that? Calm down." Big E exclaimed before getting slapped by her too.
"Who do you think you are, trying to order me around? I don't think so." She yelled as Big E rubbed the side of his face and looked at her. He stepped towards her and she took a step back. "Back up."
Big E wasn't going to hurt her, but he was going to try to get her out of the ring by intimidating her.
"Oh, wait, wait, look at this," JBL exclaimed as Roman slid into the ring.
He grabbed Morgan's hand and gently pulled her behind him. He turned his attention to Big E and he got himself ready to fight.
"Oh, this is gonna be good," Cole said as Big E took off his straps.
"This is gonna be awesome. This is gonna be great." JBL grinned.
"It's time," Roman said.
"Bring it!" Big E got hyped up as he and Roman exchanged words.
Morgan looked at them back and forth and decided to let them be but Punk got in the ring with a chair.
"He's got a chair. He's got a chair." Seth said to Roman.
Morgan and Roman look at Big E and then Punk and decide to get out of the ring as the crowd boos.
"The Shield will retreat for now," Cole said as Big E's theme came on.
Morgan tweets 'I guess CMPunk really wants to get #Dropped. Keep it up and I'll kick you in the face #YouThinkImPlaying?'
'WWEMorgan101 Nice, is that an early Christmas present? Can I get a match too? #StillWaiting' Punk replies.
'Maybe. #PatienceIsAVirtue CMPunk'
--------
'Next Week, Raw'
Morgan tweets 'Congrats to the #TotalDivas for winning the jingle belles match. You rocked it!'
Morgan also tweets 'Whoa wait a second, did I just see CM Punk, John Cena and Big E do The Shield's pose? #HeckNo #Injustice! #YouCantDoThePoseBetterThanTheShield'
'In The Ring'
The Shield were taking on Punk, Cena, and Big E. Morgan was at ringside as Cena and Dean started off the match. She could hear the 'Let's go Cena, Cena Sucks' chant as Cena takes control of Dean. Once Dean gets hit with a shoulder block, he tags in Rollins.
Cena hits Seth with two shoulder blocks and a side slam. He looks at The Shield and does the 'You Can't See Me' taunt and runs to the ropes. Seth rolls out the ring to regroup. He angrily bangs on the apron four times in frustration.
"Hey! Look at me!" Morgan put her hands on Seth's shoulders. "Do not lose your cool. Calm down. You got this."
Later on, The Shield take control of the match with Seth in the ring with Punk. Punk's injured ribs begin to aggravate him when Seth throws him to the turnbuckle. Moments later, Roman and Punk are in the ring with each other.
"I got a feeling Morgan is happy about Punk's ribs," Cole said as Roman put Punk in a bear hug while Morgan looked on in delight.
Near the end of the match, Rollins jumps off the ropes but Cena catches him and goes for the AA Position as the crowd gets hyped. Roman gets in the ring and spears Cena off of Seth.
"Oh and a spear!" Cole exclaimed.
Punk hits Roman with a flying clothesline off the ropes as he falls out of the ring. Punk also clotheslines Seth out of the ring. Ambrose strikes Punk with a knee to the back and he falls out of the ring too. Dean turns around but gets caught in Big E's big ending finisher.
Rollins and Reigns run into the ring and break up the pin as the ref calls for a DQ. The Shield begin to attack Big E and position him for the triple powerbomb.
"Welcome to the deep end Big E," JBL said.
Roman roars but gets his legs grabbed by Cena as he gets dragged out of the ring. Cena throws him to the barricade and runs into the ring with Punk. Big E hits Dean and Seth with a double clothesline. Cena hits the AA on Seth, and Punk hits the GTS on Dean as they roll out of the ring.
"Not cool..." She retorted as she and Roman helped out Seth and Dean.
Punk gets on the ropes and pointed at her. "Still waiting for ya!"
'Smackdown'
Morgan was walking backstage but got pushed by Tamina.
"Ow." Morgan held her ribs. "What was that for?"
"Aw, I'm sorry, did that hurt?" Tamina taunted.
"Yeah. It did." she bluntly replied.
"Too bad. So, I hear you won't be joining the Diva Battle Royal at Tribute to The Troops because of your little injury there." She pointed at her taped ribs. "Poor little girl, I guess wrestling guys is just too much for your body to handle. Maybe wrestling WWE Superstars isn't for you."
Morgan smirked. "Well, I don't see you wrestling WWE Superstars, so you're one to talk..."
Tamina grabbed her by the neck and pushed her to the wall as she winced in pain and grunted.
"I'm going to say this right now, don't think I'm done with you. I'm still going to get you back from Survivor Series."
"You've gotta be kidding me...You're still on that? Jeesh and I thought I was the only one who keeps grudges." She retorted but then Tamina slammed her to the wall again as the Outspoken Diva grunted.
"What's the matter? Can't defend yourself? You need help? Who is going to help you, Morgan? Your boyfriend? One of your little Total Diva friends? You're weak and defenseless."
"No, you're weak. You're gonna attack me while I'm injured? How tough do you feel right now?" She grunted as she put her hands on Tamina's to try to lessen the choke.
"I can break you like a twig, little girl. In fact, I can do it right now." Tamina was about to push her to the wall again but heard a voice.
"Release her. Now." A growl was heard as she obeyed.
Morgan held her ribs and throat as Tamina turned around. The camera showed Roman Reigns as the crowd cheered.
"This is between me and her. Not you. Stay out of my business, Roman." Tamina said, not intimidated by the Samoan.
"She's defenseless. How big do you feel right now? And she is my business. I'm not going to let you hurt her. Now, I'll ask you again. Get your ass out of here. Now." He growled.
Tamina smirked at him and walked away.
"God, I cannot wait to kick her ass..." Morgan muttered.
"Are you okay?" he asked as he helped her.
The Philly diva started to look upset. "I hate feeling weak. Why can't these ribs just heal already?"
"You're not weak Morgan. It's going to take time for those ribs to heal. Don't beat yourself up. I admire you for your guts and toughness."
"Really?"
"Yeah. I'm just glad I was around before she did any more damage to you. It seems like she really wants to take you out."
"I know...but don't worry, it won't be long before I can get back in the ring." She reassured. "Thanks for helping me."
"No problem. I'll see you later." He started walking away.
"Hey, Roman?"
He turned around. "What's up?"
She smiled. "I admire you too."
"Good to know."
Morgan tweets 'Somebody is really desperate to take me out. Oh how I'm not surprised...'
'Later, in the ring'
Big E, Cena and Mark Henry take on The Shield while Morgan stands at ringside. Once the bell rings, Big E quickly takes control but Ambrose puts him in a headlock.
"Oh!" Seth exclaimed as Dean hit Big E with a knee to the midsection.
"That's gotta hurt..." Morgan murmured.
"Should of did your homework, E!" Roman yelled.
Ambrose gets on the top rope but gets thrown off by Big E. He starts to hit Ambrose with clotheslines and does a belly to belly suplex on him.
"Come on Dean!" she cheered.
"Come on Dean, come on Dean," Seth said before he threw Big E out of the ring.
Seth and Roman stalk over to Langston but then Cena and Henry come to the rescue. Dean gets out of the ring and pushes Roman's arm, to get him out of his way.
"I'll get him." Ambrose declared as Roman glanced at his arm and back at Ambrose.
"Uh oh..." Morgan mumbled as she saw the tension between them.
Near the end of the match, Ambrose is caught with another clothesline and gets hit with the Big Ending to win the match.
"Big E picks up the victory," Cole said as Roman got in the ring and glared at Big E. Seth drags Dean out of the ring while Mark Henry gets in the ring.
'Ding Ding Ding'
"Big E gives his team a one to nothing lead," Cole informed.
"You okay?" Morgan put her hand on Dean's cheek as he sat down to take a breather.
"Yeah." He replied.
Once he regroups, The Shield watch as Roman is thrown out of the ring.
"You all right?" Seth asked as Dean leaned on the barricade.
Mark Henry pushes Roman to the apron as he hits his back before throwing him back in the ring.
"Come on Roman!" Morgan cheered.
"Come on Big man." Seth looked on as Roman kept getting hit with headbutts and then a big boot to the head. "Come on big man, you gotta watch out."
Roman fights back and hits Mark with a superman punch and pins him for a 2 count. He starts to wear down Henry with a headlock. Henry throws Roman up in the air as he falls chest first to the floor. When Roman gets up, he gives Henry a Samoan drop.
"That is strength." JBL says. Roman roars and punches the ground. He strikes Henry with a superman punch and goes to the corner. He roars again before spearing him for the win. "That was impressive."
"Yeah!" The Outspoken Diva cheered.
Once Roman gets out of the ring, she wraps her arms around his neck and kisses him on the cheek.
"You did it!" She beamed as he grinned and chuckled in response.
In the ring, Cena and Seth lock up. Once Cena gives him a hip toss, Seth rolls out of the ring and bangs on the barricade in frustration.
"Don't lose your cool. You got this." Morgan advised as her teammates tried to give him advice.
"Wear him down. Wear him down." Roman said as Seth nodded. "There you go." He said when Seth moved out of the way from the turnbuckle as Cena bumped into it.
He starts to wear him down with stomps and puts him in a headlock to wear him down.
"Rollins has a good game plan so far. One thing The Shield is good at is having a good game plan and sticking to it." JBL said.
Cena stands up and walks back to push Seth's back into the turnbuckle. He goes to run towards him but gets kicked in the face. He gets pinned for a 2 count as Seth starts to get aggressive.
"Stay down!" Roman yelled. "What I tell you, John? If you stay down, we wouldn't have to put you down."
Seth hits John with a kick in the gut. The pace of the match was slow while Seth was taking control. Big E and Mark start to hype up the crowd as Cena hits Seth with a clothesline to buy himself some time.
He plants Cena with a DDT and pins him for a 2 count as Roman puts his head on the apron.
"Don't get frustrated. You got this. Keep your cool." Morgan said when Seth started banging on the mat after he kept getting two counts.
"Rollins is dominating John Cena, believe it or not," Cole said.
"You're gonna have to give up." Roman taunted as Cena leaned on the ropes.
"It's hard to get in the head of John Cena. He went through a lot of wars." Cole mentioned.
Cena throws Rollins to the turnbuckle as he flips on top of it.
Morgan cringed at the impact. "Yikes! Are you okay!?"
"Ah~" Rollins groaned out in pain before flipping off the ropes, holding his lower torso.
Cena starts hitting him with shoulder blocks but Seth counters his attack and plants Cena's face onto one of the turnbuckles.
"Awesome! Awesome counter!" she cheered
"Come on Cena!" Big E said.
Rollins mocks Cena's 'You can't see me' taunt and punches him down. Cena counters his attack and hits him with the five knuckle shuffle. He goes for the AA but Seth lands on his feet. Cena runs towards him but gets elbowed and hit by a top rope move. He pins Cena for a near fall as Ambrose holds his head.
"Cena tried to make a comeback but Seth takes control once again," Cole said as Reigns talked trash to Cena.
Seth tries to attack him in the corner but Cena moves out of the way and strikes him with a neckbreaker. Cena pins him for a near fall as the crowd gets hyped.
"And he stayed in it! Cena thought it was three!" Cole shouted as Cena held up three fingers to the ref.
The Shield were relieved while Morgan held her chest in shock and looked at the ref.
"That was two! Two!" She declared and put up two fingers with Dean and Roman. "That was two, John."
Cena gets on the top rope but Rollins hits the ropes, making him fall on the back of his leg. He pins Cena after he gives him the Skywalker but only for another near fall.
"Ugh!" Morgan exclaimed and held her head. "Are you kidding me!?"
Dean holds his stomach and bangs on the apron.
"The Shield thought he had him," Cole said.
Cena nails Rollins with a powerbomb and pins him for a near fall as the crowd 'Ohs'. The Shield look relieved again while Mark and Big E were looking in shock. The crowd motivates both superstars to get up and Cena puts Seth in the AA position but Seth grabs onto the ropes. Once he releases him, he throws Seth up but he lands on his feet and hits him with an enzuigiri.
"What a move by Rollins!" Cole exclaimed. "He's just an incredible athlete."
Rollins pins Cena for another near fall as Dean puts his hands to his mouth.
"Come on man. Come on, John." Mark supported.
Seth gets on the top rope and goes for the diving knee. He pins him for another near fall as Dean looks on in dismay. Cena catches Seth in the STF as The Shield start to panic and the crowd gets hyped. Seth quickly gets to the ropes as Roman pulls him out. Dean gets in the ring while the ref is distracted but gets clotheslined by Big E.
He rolls out the ring while Morgan keeps her distance from the drama. She wished that she could do something but her ribs were still bothering her.
Big E punches Dean over the announce table and turns around only to be hit by a Superman punch from Roman. Mark Henry comes to Langston's aid and throws Reigns over Dean near the announce table. Meanwhile, Cena catches Rollins for the AA in the ring and pins him for the win.
"Here is your winner! John Cena!" Lilian announced as his theme came on and he celebrated with his team.
Seth gets out the ring and holds his stomach while he sits and leans on the barricade.
"You did awesome out there. Win or lose, you did good." Morgan said, helping him as he nodded and held his head.
"An incredible way to close the year. Happy New Year everybody! We'll see you in 2014 on Smackdown." Cole closed the show.

Hiiiiiiiiii i kinda had a question #lol. The fact that you write is awesome and makes me wanna write too, but every time i try i feel like i have such a large amount of self doubt that comes with it. Every single scene i finish is accompanied by an "oh god this sucks" in my head. Im also having a lot of trouble getting character voices down?? Like wow. Writing's harder than i thought it would be🫡 anyways just wanted to see if you had like tips or anything for dealing with that😨😨😨
Okay so my most practical advice is for how to get character voice. What I'll do as a writing exercise is I'll pick an episode of a show or like a scene from a movie or maybe a podcast episode, pick a medium that has a focus on dialogue. Transcribe the dialogue as you watch or listen (pause or turn on subtitles as needed) and pause the thing between chunks of dialogue and add the action tags, describe what the characters are feeling, give them internal monologue, describe the setting. I know this sounds tedious and like it is and it might not work for you and you definitely can't post it. But it makes me super aware of characters' speech patterns, the way they pause between words, what nicknames or phrases they use often, etc. It's also something that I just pick up on naturally, like I'll talk like my friends not as like an impression of their voice but how they talk and people say it's spooky.
The short cut to nailing how a character talks is to steal dialogue directly from the source, have them use nicknames from canon, and like be aware of their general tone. Like in most situations, Deadpool leans into a more jokey way of speak while Spider-Man is sarcastic with dry jokes and Daredevil is serious and gruff. These will change with each situation you know characters have moods and stuff. But if you're familiar with the source material you're probably really close to a character's voice that you think
with original stories, if I want to create a strong voice for characters and narration, I'll do a writing warm up by going outside or like a library and describe what I experience. I'm not allowed to start writing my actual thing until I include all five senses in those descriptions. I also tend to narrate how I think which doesn't work for everyone but I love metaphors and alliteration so it works. With original characters, they're usually based on someone I know so I'll just memorize their exact words or watch videos that they send me. It's kinda creepy tbh. But rule of thumb is to always read your stuff out loud, heck I usually say the dialogue before I write it, and it gives it a more human sound.
Okay practical advice done now I gotta tell you the thing you won't like. The best way to get over the "this sucks" mentality is to just write a lot. Anytime I'm not so sure about my own writing, I got back to the Hamilton fanfic I wrote in middle school that I proudly put on the internet and sent to my friends and I think "okay it could be so much worse" self-doubt will always be a part of the process you will always be your worst critic. But also you've also gotta be your biggest fan, it helps to find someone else to hype you up, but I dare you to read what you've written a say at least one nice thing about it. Any time you're in the editing stage, say one nice thing about what you've written before you say something that's not working. When you finish editing, say one thing that you're happy you added. You gotta write a lot but you've gotta be good to yourself

About that Human Resources sequel
Human Resources was always supposed to get a sequel. Nothing too long or involved ‒ probably just a couple K's of epilogue-ish material, to share some ideas about how Nandor and Guillermo's relationship might progress from "well yes, we have had sex once" onwards to, y'know, wherever that goes.
So naturally, when I actually sat down to write the thing, it grew into something several hundred words longer than the original story. Honestly, I'm not even that surprised when this sort of thing happens anymore, and yet...
Anyway, said sequel is still another round of edits and some proper betaing short of being ready to actually post, but given that 1) I have been promising this damn thing long enough, and 2) it is close enough to done that I've already created the parent series for it on AO3 and everything, have a couple of preview scenes:
Tumblr media
“As you know,” Nandor begins, sitting straight-backed in his customary chair like a monarch in the midst of a royal pronouncement, “on account of how it was all caught on film because you documentary people are now just leaving cameras around to record things in empty rooms for some reason – I and my familiar Guillermo had an encounter of an… intimate nature last night. On this very couch! And a bit up against the wall before that – but you know all this, you have all the footage and all that.
“Now, I am told that when this sort of thing happens between two people who live in the same house, and who have not done that sort of thing before in one of your documentary programs, it can be the cause of quite a lot of ex-cite-ment. So I would like to make it officially very clear that there is nothing for the getting excited about in this case! Yes, it happened – and a very good time was had, especially by Guillermo, because of course I am very good in bed – but it was mostly just a one-time kind of thing. We had our fun and all, but you must understand that it does not change anything between me and Guillermo. He is still the familiar, and I am still the vampire, even though now I have touched him on the peepee.”
Tumblr media
“Oh my god, this changes everything,” says Guillermo, grinning in a helpless sort of way, like he couldn’t stop if he tried. “A week ago, I never even knew he was interested, and now – oh man. I guess I’d never even really thought this was possible, let alone that he might…” Sitting on his bed in his room, Guillermo is trying very hard to keep his voice to stage-whisper levels, without much success. “I know, I know – it was ‘just’ the one time, but some of the stuff he said to me, while we were… just, damn. This is serious!”
Tumblr media
“Yes, certain things may have been said in the heat of the moment,” Nandor pronounces, “but I think we are all grown-ups here, and we understand that they do not necessarily mean anything. Maybe it will happen again sometime, since Guillermo has made us all aware that sex with familiars is an option which is back on the table for us vampires now. But it is never a good idea to let a familiar get too ‘familiar’ with that sort of special treatment, because then they get ideas above their station, and they start thinking they are too goodto clean anything that is not attached to you, and then you have to eat them and start all over breaking in a new familiar, and it is just so much trouble! No-one wants that, least of all Guillermo! So it was fun and all, but you should not go thinking it will be the sort of thing that is going anywhere.”
Tumblr media
“…and this could just go anywhere!” says Guillermo, “Like, it’s still so new – it’s not like he’s…” he gives a nervous laugh, “not like we’ve even talked about it yet, but I just…” He glances briefly at his phone, and nearly does a double take, “I just need to get some sleep – I’ve got like four hours of daylight left before he’s… I mean, before I’m on duty again. Okay.” Looking over the camera, he asks, “Can we wrap this up?”
A brief montage shows Guillermo turning off lights and turning in for the night – or for the afternoon, as the case may be.
Come sunset, though, he’s up and ready again as usual – if a little baggy-eyed, having obviously been too excited to get much sleep. He gives the camera a slightly-nervous smile at Nandor’s door.
“Haven’t been this excited to go in here since I started this job,” he tells the camera. “But I don’t really know where he’s… you know, what he’s thinking this is, yet, so I’m just gonna play it cool – go in there and… do my job.” Guillermo self-consciously straightens his shirt, and then finally reaches for the doorknob.
Inside, he dutifully checks the curtains, and then takes his place by the coffin as Nandor wakes.
“Guillermo?” Nandor calls, voice a little muffled as he opens his coffin from within, “are you there?” When his eyes fall on his waiting familiar, however, something happens to them – Nandor freezes, mouth slightly agape.
“Good evening, Master,” says Guillermo, largely oblivious as he holds out a hand to help his master out of his coffin. “What can I… hey!”
He cuts off as Nandor bats the proffered hand away and grabs him by the front of the shirt, lifting him bodily off the floor with supernatural strength. Before Guillermo has time for more than a startled yelp, he’s been dragged right into the coffin, on top of Nandor – the lid somehow, improbably, managing to slam shut over the both of them. That one, brief yelp remains Guillermo’s only objection – the noise he makes next suggests no objections to anything now happening inside.
After a moment, the coffin itself begins faintly rocking from side to side.

My most recent read book was written by our own @dadpat-tactual and, full disclosure, he told me that it was in a fairly unedited state and that he was working on revisions.
Now I know how I am about editing my own work, and thought that could take eons if he's anything like me, so I picked it up anyway.
I do think it's appreciable as a series of vignette sections amongst a fairly standard post-apocypse backdrop. But I must be honest to say that there's not really enough going on here. There seems to be a sequel in the works, and a prequel, but I really would have liked a tighter narrative right Here.
Spoilers and extended thoughts be ahead here:
I don't think our main character was actually ever described, nor was our villain. I'm imagining him with a hook for a hand because that's fun! We got more description for a random bartender! Our hero also has very little agency and seems to just stumble into events or be put on paths by other characters. He wants to regain his lost memories but has no good ideas on how to retrieve them and that desire hardly comes up anyway.
He's also a bit of a textbook Mary Sue or Gary Stu in this case, wherein he's great at fighting and every woman is interested in him, completely altruistic with no faults.
There was a section at the docks that, as far as this book was concerned, was inconsequential, only existing to introduce Gentle Crew. Their raid on the ship seems to be the story our author really wanted to tell.
There's also a tone issue where everything is quite serious but also constantly jokey. We got to a Lynyrd Skynyrd reference and I was like okay hell yeah let's get silly. I was full on expecting our gruff manly men to bond over country rock and break out into an impromptu karaoke session. It would have been hilarious. But no they just have a bar fight, which also doesn't serve any overall narrative purpose. Maybe someone knew who Evan was and had this fight staged to eliminate him? Just an idea.
Brother it's okay, get silly! It's an apocalypse, have fun with it! Let our heroes be larger than life. Carl scratched the surface at least. Everybody thinks Evan is a super soldier so just let him be Solid Snake-like. Let him be near superhero levels, why not?
Evan sleeps with Ellie after knowing her for like a day and later she says they're just friends and I'm over here like "WOW savage" but he doesn't react at all? Okay.
There's a scene where everyone in the market is taking shelter from a hail of bullets, including the faceless mayor. And our freedom fighter Ellie is in view of him and doesn't shoot him in the confusion? I guess she's unarmed for some reason or doesn't have a shot. Which would be fine but that needs to be stated. And later there's a plot to snipe him as he makes a speech and I'm thinking why not a Claymore pointing towards him in the podium? That makes so much sense. It doesn't have to work but somebody should have thought about it. It's safe and logical. And he's kinda made into a joke when he tickets a woman for jaywalking??? He's also out on the town by himself walking into a house with people who want him dead and they do nothing but chat with him.
It's an okay book.
This isn't a callout post; I hope it doesn't read like one. Our author is a good man this story is just half-baked as is.

Magical Robodoki Actor AU- Interview Snippets (that i don't feel like drawing, original da post and story under the cut)
Aianna: "Oh geez...the make up for the magical girl sequences takes, like, an hour if we're lucky."
Bob: "Yeah. I think it has to do with the visor makeup. It's one of those cgi mask deals where they have to edit in the constantly changing interface, so they have to get it just right for the shots to be consistant. Or something like that. Anyway, can we hug now? Please?!?"
Aianna: "Touch starved again? I get the feeling. Cm'ere." *pat pat* "Feel better?"
Bob: "Hell yeah :3"
***
Nate: “Honestly? This is probably one of the most fun gigs I’ve gotten. Yeah, not the hugest fan of magical girls, but at least here you can get to be as hammy as you want without being told to be more serious and shit. Plus I get to act with Buzz."
Buzz: "Yeah!!!"
Nate: "Gah!!! For christ sakes, cuz, I'm in the middle of an interview here."
Buzz: "Sorry..."
Nate: "Heh. Even after The Ride he still does this. Some things never change, I suppose." *chuckles, rustles cuz's hair*
Buzz: "Ghhh...cut it out..." *clearly trying to hold back a smile*
***
Buzz: “Ok, so the take they used for my magical girl reveal in the DJ Empath episode was actually done after the producer turned up the heat midway through a bunch of takes, making the room smoking hot. Because, yknow, they wanted me to sound genuinely angry. But when I finally snapped and said the line- I genuinely was fed up, no joke- Nate was actually super shocked. Like, he asked me I was ok and if wanted to take a break soon after the take was finished. But at least I got some water and an ice cream outta that." *rustling sounds* "Look at this...that's one grande choco taco! I didn't even know they made these that big!!!"
***
Cookie: "Corruption sequences? Oh god, filming those were so fucking trippy."
Schmitty: "Yeah. Before all the Ultrai's came about, the person who was supposed to corrupt us actually fed us their lines off stage, and we would respond with the lines we memorized. And that would've been perfectly fine if it weren't for the random glitching and warping jump-scare effects that randomly played out off stage, sometimes even during the final few lines. That was some damn good psychogical manipluation, because it truely scared the shit out of us and made us look nervous. I'll give them that."
Cookie: "At least it wasn't like 'filming any scene with binjpipe' creepy."
Schmitty: "Or with Jimmy Fallon."
Cookie: "Tell me about it, I'm still getting shipart of Jookie."
Schmitty: "Wait, Jookie?!? That's a thing-"
why not read the story?

Same corkboard anon here. I hope it's ok to ask but it's ok if its not. Can I ask questions about "Author" here in your blog? Because not to be creepy I actually checked your asks here and you still seem really secretive about him. If you really kept all your ideas about him a secret for years just to keep this mystery a mystery that's some serious dedication and truly admirable. You're amazing and reading PSISLY really made my week. Thank you Bbnibini!
Hello again! That's actually a really good question haha. While I'm not as tight-lipped as I was before when it comes to questions about him, I think I'm still at that stage where I couldn't be completely transparent about him and my plans for his story. If you do have questions about Author, I am much comfortable to answer them in the CYOA's official spoiler thread in AO3. ^^
Also, yeah. I locked some of the content to AO3 users only.;;; I've been a lot more guarded with protecting my works due to several incidents. I'll think up of some way to make it more accessible to everyone in the future, but for now, I have no plans to make MEMORIA accessible for non-registered users.
But thank you for your kind words nonetheless! I've grown really attached to him throughout the years, and I'm really excited that as the CYOA is nearly coming to an end, you will also get to know him as intimately as I did while I was still drafting this project. :D
Bonus (spoilers for Mammon's Route) because I feel really bad for not really giving you a straightforward answer, I'll show you a screenshot of my earlier writing process ddskjlfdsg sorry;;
EDIT: Thinking about this ask, I guess I kinda did answer more plot heavy stuff about the CYOA here. If you're confused with some of the things that happened in the fic (whether it happened directly to Author or not), feel free to ask and I'll be happy to help! But if it's just questions about Author in general, like his motives, his reasons for being the way he is etc etc, I can't give a direct answer but you will find out more about it as you read! c:
Tumblr media
translation: Author was the one who wrote the letter but Mammon gets all the credit and they (not bilingual me screwing up grammar. I'm sorry but pronouns and gendered possessives are my weakness. We don't have that in Tagalog. :') I'm bad at prepositions too;;; ) fall in love with the idea of Mammon being the letter sender because they were so touched with what "Mammon" had written but it so turns out that it wasn't Mammon who wrote it, but Author. :(
I had so much feelings writing Mammon's route. I wrote PSISLY when OM still only had S1 so I think that contributed on why I am so protective of "him".

get to know a simmer tag
no one tagged me but I figured it would be a nice lil introduction to me so i'm doing it anyways <3
1. Whats your favorite sims death?
Probably by laughter just because of the shock value I get cause I always forget sims can die that way lmao.
2. Alpha cc or mm?
Baby, I'm mixing everythinggggg. Sticking to just one thing has never been me and why not have the best of both worlds?
3. Do you cheat when your sims gain weight?
No. It's never been that serious. It's just another way for story-telling like seeing my sims gain happy relationship weight, etc.
4. Do you use move objects ?
I wouldn't ever play this game if it didn't exist lol
5. Favorite mod?
Lumpinou's mods are literally phenomenal, I also like Wicked/Wonderful Whims for the attraction system and the buffs/pop-ups. Other than that, I like the newer self care mods that are coming out like the functional clutter kit by Cepzid, etc.
6. First expansion/game/stuff pack you got?
I'm pretty sure it was Seasons. Which, duh?
7. Do you pronounce “live mode” like aLIVE or LIVing?
LIVing, the other way feels awkward to me but hearing it either way doesn't bother me.
8. Who’s your favorite sim that you’ve made?
Currently a celebrity sim I made for an upcoming gameplay series, my god, I snapped lmao. keep a lookouttttt
9. Have you made a simself?
I have....attempted. It freaks me out cause I forget what I look like lmfaooo
10. What sim traits do you give yourself?
I always have the More Traits in CAS mod sooo: loner (introverted), creative, hates children (don't come for me, I'm team ftk lmao), geek, book lover
11. Which is your favorite EA hair color?
The new true black they added awhile ago. I always hated that blue-black swatch with a burning passion lol or the new platinum blonde
12. Favorite EA hair?
Baby I couldn't name one cause I never use them lmao. The waves they added for the guys is pretty cute though
13. Favorite life stage?
Young adult for sureeeee. Adult too, I guess, considering there's really no difference between the two at the moment.
14. Are you a builder or are you in it for the gameplay?
I'm a CAS creature, ngl. But I enjoy playing all three.
15. Are you a CC creator?
Nope. My brain cells cannot compute it lmao. I wish I was!
16. Do you have any simblr friends/a sim squad?
Also nope! But it's legit my third day out here so I'm not pressed. Excited to make some in the future!!
17. What’s your favorite game? (1, 2, 3, or 4)
4.....put the pitchforks and torches downnnn! I do have 3, but I hardly play it.
18. Do you have any sims merch?
No, and will never buy any <3 EA has enough of my coin
19. Do you have a YouTube for sims?
I do! It's kiaminiplays as well and just kiamini on Tiktok/the gallery. The content is coming soon!
20. How has your “sim style” changed throughout your years of playing?
Chileeeeeee. I've been doing makeovers from sims I had in my library in the beginning and. the horror. omfg. But before I used to only be an Alpha girlie and now I use both so my sims can look cohesive with the game. I'm too lazy to make a save file all alpha.
Other than that, I love seeing sims have individual styles and be diverse so I try to make them each different and same thing for my builds.
21. Who’s your favorite CC creator?
Wish I could list everyone, but heres some I don't think I could live without lol:
camuflaje, ceeproductions, gorillax3, greenllamas, jius, joancampbell, khadijah551, madlen, northernsiberiawinds, okruee, sheabuttyr, serenity, sentate and so much more.
22. What expansion/game/stuff pack is your favorite so far?
City living, hands down. I can't remember any save where my sims haven't lived there for a bit. So now that we can edit the windows I'm obsessed all over again. I think For Rent might eventually give CL a run for its money just because we can create our own rental lots now.

Yep
It's in the title
Mission 14 is probably the worst in the game: the gimmick here is that there are these infinitely spawning monsters from the ground. If they eat you you'll be sent to a room underground where you'll have to fight some monsters before being sent back to your last checkpoint, with all the progress you had made up until that point being erased, emaning having to fight the battle during which you were caught by one of these things all over again
This is shit, espacially because it means you can't fight properly while on the ground
To make matters EVEN WORSE at the end of the level you have to fight some Chimera-infested enemies. As a reminder: these kind of enemies randomly eject spines from their bodies, meaning you can't properly combo them. If you do you will eventually be hit by the spikes, get knocked back, and while the animation of Dante getting back up plays out a ground monster will spawn benath you and swallow you. Your best bet is to keep your distance and use your guns but, as I already said, Dante's guns are nowhere near as powerful as Nero's so this is gonna take a while and will be tedious as shit
Mission 15 is technically better since it has no gimmicks (hallelujah!". However it's longer than your average stage and, since it's DMD, the enemy encounters are absolutely nasty!
Fighting Alto Angelos in a really tight room?
Fighting 4 Ice Lizards + a Mephisto all at once!?
Fighting 2 fucking Blitzes, one of which at the end of the level right before the boss in a tiny ass room!?
I know I can't complain too much since this IS the highest difficulty option and nobody's forcing me to play it, but this only further highlights the issues I had been talking about last time: as Nero I wouldn't be having so much trouble as I have fought similar enemy formations in the early game as him. It was still really tough but it felt like these enemies were more or less balanced around him. Here I'm finding myself in need to use items tro keep myself alive, something that I usually never do not even in DMC3, which is technically harder than this game, because, again, (most of) the enemies there were designed with Dante's skills and limits there
So since I've been beating a dead horse here why not talk about something else?
Remember last video that flashback cutscene where we see how Dante learned of the Order of the Sword?
Lady was there!
That's her ONLY appearence in the game before the Special Edition came out, which gave her like 2 more cutscenes and a playable role though without her own story (same deal with Trish and Vergil)
Other than that she does jack throughout the game, which is certainly disappointing since she was great in DMC3
She also got a pretty risquè redesign. In fact she's not the only one
Tumblr media
Yeah DMC4 is a pretty horny game. We already saw "Gloria". Trish is...actually mostly the same as in DMC1 but they gave her bigger boobs
Lady's makeover is often hated by fans though for being too sexualized. After all Trish at least has always been the sexy femme fatale of the cast, not Lady.
Plus even her characterization seems...different? In DMC3 she was generally more serious, always angry and revenge filled. Here she's laid back, more fun loving and kinda...flirty?
Now tbf on the one hand Lady in DMC3 was on a revenge quest and had very good reasons to be pissy. Here she's just passing by and has presumably lived a happy life for over 10 years, so it makes sense for her to have mellowed out. Besides, even in DMC3, she had her brief moments of light hearted silliness ( during the end credits as her and Dante are fighting demons she often yells "Let's rock baby!"), so it would make sense that the Lady that we saw in DMC3 was not her usual self in away
...but when you combine this with her having absolutely nothing to do and her more revealing design it gets kinda hard not to think that she's here purely to be eye candy. At least Trish gets...SOMETHING to do, even if it doesn't amount to much
Also this is one of the images you can unlock in the gallery:
Tumblr media
Yeah. As I said: horny game is horny.
And unfortunately, for all the improvements that DMC5 will bring to the table, giving Lady and Trish something to do in the plot besides just being fanservice will not be one of them.

I wonder if there a fan edit timeline of just homelander becoming more n more unhinged. I’d totally watch that as a recap when the next season drops
Have you ever seen American Gods / Preacher / Legion. If so what ya think of them.
Just knowing it’ll be be made gets me excited cuz it’s like a little treat for future me. Idk when it’ll drop so maybe it’ll slip my mind untill they announce it n then I get double the excitement like omfg I remember when they were talkin about it n now it’s dropping.
Well of course he would batman and the joker have always been two side of the same coin so they had to make him the overpowered cliche n Barbatos was definitely way cooler. The BWL has cool design but not a fan of his story just very predictable even the brain switching like such a cliche terrible writing all to snuff Barbatos 🙄
N making constructs he should be able to make n tapping I to that darker dimension just A1 writing.
Same with Red Death homie strapped him on the Batmobile like a hood ornament n obliterated him 😮‍💨
Doombreaker shouldn’t even been in the line up tbh so unnecessary. They shoulda gone with something else.
Omfg your the first person I’ve met/come across to have heard of it let alone read it. You seem to have good taste so now I’m extra excited to start it.
You laugh now but I’m so serious, everytime I see shark related things irl I be whispering to myself Chichimatul
Lmaoooo I'm willing to bet that there is definitely one out there somewhere. 😂
I've seen both American Gods and Preacher! I loved Preacher; I really liked all the characters. American Gods was another of those 'its just okay' for me at the start; I initially wasn't really v attached to the characters (besides Mad Sweeney lmao, he was an INSTANT favorite), then by seasons 2&3 I was more invested and tHEN THEY WENT AND CANCELLED THE SHOW.
Lmao exactly! I'll probably honestly forget too by the time it finally drops, so it'll def be a treat for future me also. 😂😂
Yeah; I liked BwL's design (although personally, I would have preferred if he had Bruce's actual body type instead of basically looking like the Joker cosplaying as Batman, like, he's just supposed to be a Jokerized Bruce Wayne, so why was he so skinny and lanky like Joker??—I whipped up a little 'how I'd have preferred he look' concept before:
Tumblr media
all the main elements of BwL, just [what I consider], to feel more Batman-y, and less, 'Joker playing dress up as Batman', lmao) and even his concept was a cool one—a Batman driven to Joker levels of madness? Heck yeah, sign me up, but DC definitely took the idea and made him more than what he should have been imo. Esp, again, when Barbatos was RIGHT there, being so much cooler!! Also, yeah, the brain switching was sUCH bad writing, especially since we ended up with basically TWO BwLs after! Since we have the original, now running around as 'Darkest Knight' after the ol' brain-switcheroo, and then when we had Batman use the Black Lantern ring to raise an army, BwL's original body was among the people he reanimated, and, despite NO LONGER HAVING A BRAIN ANYMORE it??? was still basically BwL somehow??? That was when I was just fully DONE with the whole event and like 'okay this is ridiculous, please wrap it up already' lmao. Like it went from such a cool concept to just, okay this is dragging out and just bad writing now.
Yesssss!!! His 'dark constructs' were honestly SO cool!!! I really that wish we'd had stories more of him, instead of BwL taking center stage and Dawnbreaker and the other Dark Knights basically being reduced to like, his lackeys (which was so dumb imo, like they're ALL Batman(/batwoman, in The Drowned case), they should have been more equal. 😤😤
For real!! The Batman who became Red Death doing what he did to the Flash was absolutely brutal. (And the fact that Barry was still present afterwards and basically trapped in there with him, constantly trying to get Bruce to come to his senses 😭😭).
HE REALLY SHOULDN'T HAVE!! Like, I get that they wanted a counterpart for everyone on the JL, but for Superman there really were SO many better choices to choose from who they could have combined with Batman!! I still maintain that a Cyborg Superman or a Metallo version would have been SO cool, but there're plenty others that would have been neat too: a Brainiac/Batman mash-up, or a Livewire or Silver Banshee one. Heck, even a version of Batman combined with Parasite would have worked and been cooler than what they gave us!
😆 I hope you enjoy it!!
Lmaooo. 😂😂

doing the fall writeblr game bc i feel like it
🎃 pumpkin: do you have any favorite brainstorming techniques? how do you like to gather ideas for your wip?
i literally lay in bed and act out ideas to myself, have conversations between characters, and write down notes to remember if i especially like the scenes. i like to call that sandboxing.
sometimes i can write things without sandboxing, like internal monologues and setting description, but i always have to act out dialogue and action scenes, sometimes several times just to narrow down quality and rework dialogue and direction.
🍂 leaves: what does your editing process look like? how does your wip typically change as you work on it?
i try not to edit until at least a few days have passed (for shorter works), sometimes even more than a week or two (especially for longer works). i read through it or put it into text-to-speech readers and listen for flow and pacing.
i tend to edit for big-picture things first, like plot and conflict. aka, can i summarize my story easily? if not, then i need to work on that. then, ideally, when I'm satisfied with what i have, i edit for big-picture continuity, chapter/scene flow, and i rework the beginning and ending (if necessary). i usually deal with grammar editing during all of these stages, which isn't ideal, but it kinda just... happens right now. do as i say, not as i do, yadda yadda.
☕ coffee or tea: describe your OCs favorite place to relax.
as a stag spirit, Exim is naturally most at home and relaxed in any secluded nature setting: forests are its favorite. it also likes rain.
🧥 warm coat: share a happy or fuzzy scene from your wip!
Fizzarolli was shaking and overwhelmed. His voice was raw. He was still crying. It all felt good in the moment, and then the drop came quickly. He couldn't quite breathe until he was cuddled up in the blankets and in Exim's arms.
He could hardly stop crying enough to speak. But a trembling and tearful (and very serious) "fuck you" emerged from his quivering lips. Exim kissed his forehead and he only sobbed harder, if that was even possible. Exim rubbed his back. "Breathe slow for me," it said. "One deep breath in, and hold it."
Fizzarolli tried and barely held it for long. His heart was beating so fast, his stomach turning every which way. He knew he was okay, but his body claimed otherwise. This was always the hardest part. And the most rewarding. Ozzie was great at it. Exim had a different approach. Fizzarolli and Exim were still getting used to each other on this particular front.
"One more time," Exim said calmly, hand still warm against his back. Its hand rolled forward over a shoulder and onto his chest. It slowly calmed the restrictive anxiety that was trapped there. "Look in my eyes. Breathe in with me."
He did. Deep, familiar green eyes helped him breathe in slower this time, deeper too. Slowly, his eyes became more and more lidded, his breath calmer, his chest less jumpy and tight. Breath after breath they did together, until it kissed him, and he could finally welcome it back in without anxiety. The kisses were shallow and gentle, sweet and forgiving. He loved those kisses. He loved the way Exim's lips felt, how he nearly got energy from them, healed from them every time they touched him. All over, his body tingled with warmth and afterglow. All he wanted was to be swaddled like a baby and held. And Exim did just that. Wrapped in a blanket, he lay against Exim, purring very quietly and tiredly, as Exim rocked them both sleepily.
Nothing stirred them except the smell of Ozzie's breakfast on the grill. And when they both opened their sleepy eyes and met gazes, all Fizzarolli could say was in a gentle whisper.
"Fuck you."
He said it, meant it, but his soft gaze could not leave Exim for a moment. He was almost smiling, but he was too weak. Exim almost smiled too. Its eyes only looked back into his. It nuzzled his forehead, and both their eyes closed affectionately.
"Asshole."
Exim replied quietly. "If I tell Ozzie you're still being ungrateful, he'll come in to fix you."
"I know." He wasn't worried. Exim wouldn't do that to him. Not right now anyway. It was only the wonderful warmth for now.
Saying thank you was not his strong suit. But he certainly showed it.
🍎 apple: let's talk about friendship in your wip. do you have any favorite friend/platonic dynamics? any friendships gone sour?
i really adore writing Ozzie and Fizz's friendship. their silliness with each other comes out in all aspects of their interactions, from sex to everyday actions.
Exim and Fizz also share a type of bond akin to friendship. Exim is more protective and comforting toward Fizz, but still in a platonic and alterous sense. Exim is a really healing force when it comes to Fizz's bodily self-loathing and trauma, although both Exim and Ozzie are good with Fizz on that in their own unique ways.
Exim and Asmodeus are on-again-off-again friends and enemies, maybe even rivals. They don't rival each other for Fizz's affection, but they are cautious of each other at times and both want the best for Fizzarolli. They don't always see eye to eye, and although that doesn't automatically cause problems every time, it definitely can create rifts between them. They're two very powerful entities with a lot of wisdom and knowledge. Of course they'd watch each other carefully.
👻 ghost: can you tease some wip ideas that have been haunting you/something you want to write in the future?
the fizzeximodeus gang crashing a goddamn wedding.
it tickles me to write Helluva and Hazbin crossovers as well, and i do wonder how Exim and Alastor would react to each other, being deer spirits/demons. somehow i definitely see that first meeting happening at the wedding. but we will see. it's always the aros that explode the world when they meet
🥧 pie: let's talk about food in your wip. are there any special recipes or traditional meals? do any of your OCs cook or bake?
Asmodeus enjoys cooking and baking, although he's no expert at it (he wants to be at least competent at it, which he is, but he can be hard on himself for making mistakes).
🌙 moon: do any of your OCs have dark backstories or secrets they're trying to keep?
Exim has a somewhat dark backstory, but not really all that dark when you consider that these are demons we're talking about. Exim technically isn't officially a demon, although you could consider it one if you wanted. Without spoilers, a better term for it is "spirit," but that tells you next to nothing.
bottom line though, Exim does have some stuff going on and is not so open about it until it's sure it's safe to divulge.
have any questions or thoughts of your own? feel free to comment, reblog, or send an ask! i love talking with people about HB and my fic ideas!

I looooove Shadow 06 !!!!!!!!!!!!
Shadow Adventure is gold. I love that you edit the dialogues, and also that you use lines from the stages too! Very creative!
Shadow seems secretive about his relationship with Sonic, I didn't expect that tbh... Since the rating is Teen and we don't get many details, would you mind sharing what their relationship is like at this point? Are some things behind the scenes? For example, is it a full-on sexual relationship, or something more serious? Or are they still simply dating whenever they can? I am not sure what's going on behind the scenes
Seeing Mephilles as Sonic's shadow from now on is going to epic! Great stuff!
I'm so happy you are enjoying the story!!! So 06 happens a few months if not a year after Reckoning. I'd say they are still in the more subtle stages of a relationship (as an ace I'm not great at know relationship stages)
It's definitely a serious relationship. They both care w lot about the other. So no friends with benefits kinda situation. ( That's as far as I'll get in detail wise because they be minors and what they do is their private business)
