All the "Oh Look, Another Ask Game!" for Tate!

Before I answer these just so it’s clear but I don’t think anyone know Tate or cares about details, but I’ve decided to change some of his story and background these are answers for him up to date at this point.

1. Who do they look up to? He looks up to his foster parents/adoptive parents who have raised him since he was three years old up until he was eighteen. But the provided him with a home, love, and anything he needed. And they respected his decision to not change his last name and keep his deceased mother’s maiden name which he appreciated. He definitely looks up to them for their kindness and open-heartedness.

2. Who do they look to for guidance? See answer 1.

3. What would it take for them to betray the person they love? He’s not one to betray people. If he ever has it’s mainly been an accident.

4. Who is someone they’ve hurt? His five year old son, Kai’s, mother.

5. What is a secret that they have? He’s still in love with his son’s mother.

6. Would they trust anyone with their secret? No, because he knows everyone will think he’s stupid, even though he already knows he’s stupid for still caring for her.

7. Any family scandals? Does your character know about them? Nope.

8. Is there anyone that they currently aren’t speaking to? Why? His son’s mother. She walked out and left them when Tate was eighteen and Kai was just a newborn, and tries to pop back in when having a son is convient to her, but Tate has finally put his foot down and refusing to let her see him unless she’s actually committed to being a mother. His son is at the age now where he knows when she’s coming and going and he refuses to subject his child to that pain. So he’d rather hurt her than have his son hurt.

9. What is something that would break them emotionally? If he lost custody of his son. He’s the reason he’s been hanging on and has become as strong as he is now.

24. What do they think they’re good at, but aren’t? Fixing cars. He thinks he’s good at doing the handy work on his truck but ends up having to take it in because he has no clue what he’s going.

29. What do they do to relax? Sit on his back porch and listen to the ocean waves or grilling food is one of his other ways to relax.

30. What is their ideal sleeping situation? Having his bed to himself without his son sleeping with him every night and hogging a majority of the mattress. Don’t let him lie though, he secretly loves having Kai in his bed and doesn’t sleep well without him sprawled out with his tiny feet and elbows jabbing him in the sides.

My dad listens to a lot of classic rock, rock, and country, but he likes some top 40 type stuff. My mom listens to a variety of music like I do. Since I like a variety, I enjoy a lot of the same music as my both parents. Probably more so my mom, though.

14. Do you ever listen to music without any words? Not often, but sometimes. Like some classical music. It has been awhile, though.

15. Are there any famous musicians that you’ve met? Are there any that you would like to meet? I met Drake Bell a couple times. I wish I could have met Chester Bennington. :(

16. What was the first concert you’ve been to, if any? How about the last/most recent? Which, out of all of the concerts you’ve attended, was the best? My first concert was a Christian alternative band with my first boyfriend. My last concert was Green Day with my best friend at the time. Green Day, Jonas Brothers, Drake Bell, and the Jingle Ball concerts (had several artists/bands perform) I went to were all awesome.

17. Do you have a favorite movie soundtrack? What is it? Sweeney Todd.

18. Would you want to be a band groupie? Why or why not? No.

19. What is a band/singer you would like to see but haven’t gotten a chance to yet? There’s several. I’m really sad I never got to see Linkin Park.

20. Do you care more about the beat of the music you listen to, or the lyrics? Both. I mean, there’s songs that I just like or are catchy and the lyrics don’t matter as much, but I love songs with relatable lyrics that just speak to me.

21. Does anyone in one of your favorite bands play an unusual instrument? I mean, they might in addition to the one they play in the band, but *shrug*

22. What are some of the songs that you listen to the most frequently? There’s a lot. I just hit shuffle on my main Spotify playlist, which consists of a variety of genres and arists/bands. That’s the playlist I listen to all the time.

23. Could you make a playlist of songs that describes your life? What kinds of playlists do you have made? I wouldn’t have the motivation or energy to attempt that. It would take a lot of time and thinking.

24. Do you remember listening to music on CDs and cassettes, not just on the internet? Yes.

25. What kind of music device do you use in order to listen to music? (iPod, MP3 Player, etc. I listen to Spotify on my phone.

27. Would you ever consider a career in music? No. I don’t have any musical talent. I played some piano when I was younger, but I wasn’t great. I really wish I took it more seriously, though, and kept up with it.

28. What is a song that would describe your current mood? Who is it by? lol Jason Mraz’s song, “Sleep All Day” just popped into my head because of the title. It’s almost 7AM, so I probably will sleep all day.

29. Are there any musicians of the past that you really admire? Absolutely.

31. What musical instrument would you like to learn how to play? Have you ever played an instrument before/taken lessons? What was it? Like I said, I played some piano when I was younger and I wish I took it more seriously and kept up with it.

32. Do you enjoy watching musicals on DVD or sitting through them as plays? Which method do you prefer, and which is your favorite? I haven’t seen a lot of musicals, but there’s a few I’ve seen and liked. Seeing them live is awesome, but I like watching them at home whenever I want as well. Sweeney Todd is one of my favorites. Side note, Disney+ just added Hamilton and I’ve been thinking about watching it. I remember when it was super popular, so now that it’s available to watch I’d like to check it out.

33. What was the worst concert you’ve ever attended before, and what made it the worst? I’ve never been to a bad concert.

37. What are some of your favorite music videos to watch? Before a week ago when MTV did a Flashback Friday thing and played music videos from the 90s and early 2000s, it had been a long time since I’ve watched any music videos. They’re not a big thing anymore, I feel like. I mean, I know they’re still being made, but it’s not like back in the day when we had TRL and MTV actually played music videos. I remember getting excited back then to watch them.

39. Have you ever recorded a cover song and posted it? What kind of feedback did you receive? Noooo. I can’t sing, why would I embarrass myself like that?

40. Is there an album cover design that you really admire? There’s been a lot of cool album covers.

41. What are some of the most overplayed songs right now, in your opinion? I haven’t listened to the radio in like 3 years, so I don’t know.

42. Do you watch music awards shows on television? Yes.

43. Have you ever competed in any sort of singing contest before? No. I can’t sing. I mean, I sing at home along to my favorite songs, but I don’t sing well lol.

44. Have you ever tried to start your own band before? No. I told you, I have no musical talent.

45. What’s the name of a band/singer that you recently have discovered? I discovered this song called, “Dream Girl”, by Ir-Sais. I heard the song on TikTok. I’ve found a few songs that way, but that’s the most recent one.

What are some annoying/weird/funny songs that have gotten stuck in your head? >> Barbara Ann gets stuck in my head all the time, but that’s okay because it’s fun and I love it. <<< Haha, now it’s in mine. I like it, too, so it’s fine. Anyway, yeah there’s been a lot of songs like that that get stuck in my head. I’m failing to think of another example at the moment, though. I’m too tired.

47. Are there any songs that actually make you cry? What are they, and who are they by? Yes, there’s a few. One is the acoustic version of Everlong by Foo Fighters.

48. Do you listen to any music in another language? Some in Spanish. There were also a few I liked in Swedish.

Old thoughts

July 23, 2018 I haven't felt this way for a long time. It feels familiar, yet new. And he definitely defies ALL the stereotypes of meeting someone online. Like, you date so much so you know the pattern right? He does the "moves" but doesn't follow the pattern. It's interesting, makes me curious and want to know more. Obviously he isn't perfect, cuz I'd be freaking out. But he's a good, good guy. Anyway point of this was since I deleted all our texts bec I thought he was being an asshole, I have to type out everything lol. Dude you know me and dating memorabilia. Don't think I'm using the word right but we are just gonna go with it. Ok when we first had coffee, he told me straight up he was sweating in the car before he met me lol. He was nervous and said it even in text. I think his last girlfriend was in high school... doesn't matter. He met me at the park while I got sushi and his mom was like what if she stood you up and he said no she doesn't seem like that type of girl and he was looking for me in the window haha. Also I jokingly asked him to ask his mom about coupling tips and he actually did. She said there was too many haha. He walked me back to my car (can't imagine a guy NOT doing that, Melody LOL) hugged x2 then he's like you wanna hang out tomorrow?! He texted me after the park and said it was nice meet June 28, 2018 Palliative was interesting because I've never seen it in person before. Only read about it. M on the other hand was amazing. Seriously, the visits were very insightful. I think I learned a lot. It kind of felt like a sales visit, but at the same time she didn't push the patient or their family towards anything. Just educating them on the levels of care that Residential has to offer after home care. Focusing on the goals. Educating on the importance of what YOU want and when it would be a time for the highest level of care which is hospice. Five wishes which is a form of advanced directives that can be notarized to be legal. DNR and the levels of resuscitation that you want. MPOA (medical power of attorney). The first lady we saw had a wedding that she really wanted to go to the following week and was working really hard with OT, PT to gain strength to be able to walk without feeling short of breath and getting used to her oxygen tank. Curative vs. comfort. Knowing when to stop curative treatments without it working. Getting the courage to be able to make the decision and say no more treatment. Recurrent hospitalizations, poly pharmacy. The diagnosis is leading to a decline. Both patients and their family members talked about how their doctors don't use layman terms and don't know when to stop. They don't listen to what the patient's want. It's not their fault, medical school teaches them to cure the patient. But there needs to be The Journey department was created to bridge that gap. Home care allows me to see what happens when something unexpected happens August 2, 2018 I just don't understand. I guess it's not for me to understand. It's not for me to dissect apart. It is the way it is. Why do I have to go through so much disappointment, so much heartbreak. My anxiety is through the roof. My mind is wandering aimlessly with no end. The voices in my head can't stop My heart wants everything to halt Dating filled my empty hole after my failure. I don't know how I'm going to get past it. If I ever do. Mistakes happen right? And Paul. I spent so much time with him. And he just ignores me. Why does everyone I meet in my life expect ME to save them? I wish the world could just quiet down. Just stop. Just leave me alone. Just leave me the fuck alone. And I know. I know the power to do it all is within me. I have to be strong. The only person that can save me, is me. The only problem is, what happens when I already ran out of strength? May 29, 2018 After the busy long weekend, I’m feeling so tired. Mostly emotional. Think I’m getting my monthly visitor. It is that time. I JUST DON’T KNOW WHAT TO DO. Can someone just tell me what to do, step by step? I was thinking about it and dude this is my rock bottom. Like I can’t even sink any lower. I do have to say, I’m excited for my new job but that’s it. Graduate school went down the hole, it’s been a month but I don’t feel normal. Maybe I need a new normal. I just don’t feel motivated. LIU sent an email out saying they are unmatched cuz someone decided not to go. Annoyed emoji. I don’t even know where to begin. I wanted this for so long 😦 Oof shall we go into the romantic part of my life? I tell myself this is a fun thing but shall we face the actual facts? I think this will make me more unstable. I can’t not have feelings for things, you know? HE IS 37, WITH TWO CHILDREN + TWO, NOT ONE BUT TWO BABY MAMA’S. Laughing emoji. Dude, I know I can have fun but is this really the way? I really don’t think I can even have “fun” when I seriously can’t handle myself emotionally. Still in the process of loving myself. And when I justify having relationships with people who I normally wouldn’t go out with, it’s a problem. I don’t think I’ve made any sense, to be honest. So many racing thoughts. Ok, I shall use what Matt taught me and focus on one thought or I’ve noticed focusing on one object helps. And yes, I think I need a new normal. I think I will give myself one month (more) to just think everything through. I want to adjust to my new job too. And focusing on myself, no dating apps. Exercising and not overeating for the past couple days so that’s good. I want to be proud of my body and feel good. So since my main focus was school and it’s going to happen for some time, my mind needs a new distraction because obviously, my mind can’t sit still. So it just so happened to be Charles. But dude, I seriously wonder why the universe put HIM in my path. I’ve read a quote somewhere that says having daydreams is good because it motivates you to achieve your dreams and I use to daydream 24/7 about interviews and I got one from Michigan. And dating an older guy, Charles wasn’t exactly what I had in mind but yeah. I like to think it’s telling me that I have to focus on myself because he clearly isn’t the one so I shouldn’t fall head over heels with the first person who notices me. If I want something, I need to really want it. Also, I have to stop seeing the good in everyone. Some people just have bad in them. I have to grow thicker skin too. I know I want to sleep with him, buuuuuut I probably shouldn’t. The reckless side of me is saying do it, do it. But the responsible side is saying no, this will end badly (like the Jake situation, cough cough). Charles is cool, more like a friend though. Because I know I don’t believe this now, but I deserve better. I deserve better. I deserve better. Someone who puts me first Someone who is interested in what I have to say Someone who will go on midnight walks with me Someone who will hold my hand in alleyways Someone who will talk to me no matter what time of the day it is Someone who will support anything I do I’m not looking for anyone to complete me, someone who will love me unconditionally.

Hold My Hand: John Wick x Reader Chapter 37

Warnings: none, until the end.

Opening your eyes and looking around the room, you sit up straight when you see Harper isn’t in her crib. After taking a brief moment to calm down, you realize John has taken her already. You flop back down on the bed, exhaling loudly and look over at the clock, 8:12 AM.

“Of course he didn’t wake me up. Of fucking course.” you say to yourself and hop out of bed to take a quick shower.

As fast as you can, you get dressed and head for the kitchen. John is bouncing Harper in his arms and Benji is at the table eating cereal when you walk in and greet them.

“Good morning,” you say and lean against the counter across the kitchen from John, still wringing the water from your hair.

“Hey, peach.” John turns around and smiles at you, “Oh, you took a shower.”

“Wish you would have woken me up.” you say and hang the towel on the back of the stool to dry.

“It’s okay, I wanted you to sleep in.” he says and Harper wiggles in his arms a little, chewing on her hands. You can’t help but want to hold both of them and John notices. “Come here.”

“Did you feed her already?” you ask and wrap one arm around John’s waist and the other around Harper. You lean your head against his chest and when he speaks, it vibrates throughout his body.

“Yup.” he nods, pride filling his body.

“Did you also change her diaper?” you raise your eyebrows, remembering how he reacted last time.

“I did.” he smiles and then looks at Harper. “She…uh…”

“Pooped?” you ask and laugh.

“Yeah, but I got her all cleaned up.” he says and looks at her as he bounces her in his arms.

“Wow, Mr. Wick, I am very impressed.” you smile at Harper and she reaches out to tug at John’s hair.

“Yeah, those kind of diapers should be your thing.” he laughs and looks down at you.

“Oh sure, stick me with the poopy diapers. I see how it is.” you joke and John leans down to kiss you. “You think kissing me is going to make it better?”

“Worth a shot.” he laughs, then leans down to kiss you again.

You cup his face and smile, “Gosh, I love you.”

“I love you more.” he says, rubbing his hand over your back. “Did you sleep okay, ya know, with this one in the room?”

“I did, how about you?”

John nods his head and looks back at Harper, “I did.”

“So, Benji, are you excited for school?” you say and walk over to take his empty bowl and put it in the sink.

“Yeah! I’m really excited to ride in Uncle John’s cool car.” he says and when he turns around, you notice the huge milk mustache on his face.

“It is pretty cool, isn’t it?” you turn around, grabbing a napkin to wipe off his face.

John checks his watch and hands Harper to you, “We should probably go, buddy.”

You walk with John to the door and he turns around to cup your cheek, gazing at you adoringly. He smiles at you for a moment, seemingly drinking in the image of you with a baby on your hip, and Harper reaches out for John again and he laughs, “No, you gotta stay here, Harper.”

“She likes you a lot, I’m a little jealous.” you jokingly pout, and John presses a kiss to your forehead and leans down a little to kiss Harper’s cheek.

“I’ll be back soon.”

Holding tight to your fingers, Harper starts to walk as you help lead and encourage her. Bleu comes running into the living room when Harper giggles loudly and licks her cheek causing her to scream with joy, and she reaches out for him, grabbing tight to his collar.

“Harper, I think you’re gonna start walking on your own soon.” you say and she pats Bleu hard on his back. “But please do not start walking when you’re here. I would hate for your mama to miss that.”

You sit on the floor next to Harper as she pats Bleu on his back. Bleu is so calm and gentle with her, it makes you melt. He lays down as Harper crawl onto his back and he licks her cheek again.

“You’re getting sleepy, aren’t you?” you say as Harper reaches out for you.

You pick up Harper and stand to sit in the chair near the window and slowly rock her in your arms.

“You are just the sweetest thing. Uncle John is a little in love with you, you know that? And I’ll admit seeing him with you is making me melt.” you say, looking down at Harper. She’s staring at you in wonder and you lean down to kiss her forehead. “Where the heck is your uncle John?”

John has been gone for over an hour and you’re starting to wonder the hell he is. You carefully shift Harper in your arms and walk to the kitchen to check your phone for any missed calls.

As soon as you grab your phone, you hear John walk through the door. Turning around and looking around the corner, you see John with bags in his hands and he scoots a large box in the door with his foot.

“Hey, peach.” he says, excitedly.

“What did you get?” you ask, walking over to meet him.

“Well,” he taps the box and turns it, “I bought a high chair!”

You look up at John and you can see how proud he is, grinning from ear to ear. You start to smile and hoist Harper up on your hip a little as he walks past you to the kitchen, stopping only for a moment to kiss your cheek.

“Why?” you ask, following closely behind him.

“So, she can sit and eat…” he stares at you and slowly smiles.

“John…she’s not going to be living here. We don’t need this.”

“Well, if she never comes back, we can give it to Tess and Jimmy.” he stares at you as he moves closer. “Or…we can keep it.”

“I’m gonna put her down for a nap.” you turn to leave, but he stops you.

“Wait!” he runs up the stairs two at a time and disappears into your room.

In a matter of seconds, John is back with Harper’s pack ‘n play, trying his best to maneuver it down the stairs even though it’s still open. You know it shouldn’t, but it turns you on how easily he picks it up and carries it.

“She can go in the guest bedroom with Benji.” he says, grunting a little as he comes down the stairs.

“No, she can’t. There’s no room for the bed in there, and I can’t keep an eye on her if she’s sleeping down here.”

John sets the crib down and looks at it then peeks into the guest bedroom. “Well, if I move that over a little, and then we put that over there and move the dresser to sit over there.”

“John, we’re not going rearrange the entire guest room just so she can sleep in there for a week.” you say and put Harper down in the pack 'n play with a toy.

“Yes, we are.” he says, voice straining from shoving the dresser over. He scoots the bed over with a bit of effort and moves the chair again, placing it in three spots before deciding it’s fine where it was. “Look, that’s perfect.”

“No, it’s not. I still won’t be able to keep an eye on her. I don’t know how she sleeps at night.” you say, and see Harper reaching out for you and you take her out of the crib. “I’m not good at this stuff yet. I don’t know what I’m doing.”

“Yes, you do.” he says and kisses your forehead.

“What if she’s crying in the night and I don’t hear her?”

“Look in the bag.” he says as he puts the crib in the guest bedroom. “Wait! Look in the white bag, not the blue one. White, not blue!”

“Okay, because that’s not suspicious…” you say as you open the white bag and see John bought Harper a bunch of new toys. Feeling around in the large bag, you pull out a box, “A baby monitor.”

John comes back out and smiles as you walk into the living room, “Good idea, huh?”

“Great idea, actually.”

John moves closer to take Harper from you, and you smile when she snuggles into his chest. John positions himself on the couch, still placing pillows around him just in case she falls. You chuckle softly and sit next to him, and Harper starts to fuss a little and lets out one big cry.

“She’s tired.” you say, rubbing her back. She hiccups and you both laugh as John pulls her back to look at her. “She slept through the night as far as I know. When I got up to use the bathroom, she was still asleep. Did you get her up at any point?”

“I got up to use the bathroom too, but she was still asleep when I came back out. Was I supposed to feed her or something?” John looks at you and with one hand, he brushes the hair out of your face, tucking it behind your ear.

“No.” you shake your head and stretch your legs across his lap, and he wraps his left arm around your shoulder to hold you. “I mean if she’s up and crying, then yeah, she’s probably hungry or needs her diaper changed, but when she’s sleeping through the night, just leave her.”

John takes the blanket from next to him and drapes it across the three of you and rests his head against yours, “You would honestly make such a good mom.”

“John, not right now.” you warn but start to smile when you see how he’s looking at you, “Okay, fine.”

“Peach, you would be such a good mom. I can already picture it in my head, your belly growing bigger and bigger every day, you would be so cute.” John’s entire body perks up and he straightens up on the couch, leaning over to kiss you. He places one hand on your stomach and you cover it with both of your hands.

“You think I’d look cute?” you stick your stomach out further and laugh.

“You would look so cute, baby.” he looks down at Harper, who is still awake and now sucking her thumb as she relaxes in John’s arms. “We could have our very own version of this. The perfect mix of us.”

“You already have a camera in my face all the time now, you’d be so much worse when I’m pregnant. Probably wanna do one of those stupid videos where you take a picture of my belly at the same time every day.”

“Maybe.” he laughs and you see his cheeks turning red. “When I went to the store and bought all that stuff, I just imagined us picking everything out for the baby’s room. That would be so much fun to do with you.”

“Yeah, it would be.” you say and lean over to kiss him, “I’ll admit…you do make it sound like a very good idea.”

“When I got to the register, they asked how old my baby was.”

You reach out to rub Harper’s cheek and look at John. “And what did you say?”

“Said I had a nine month old. I didn’t want to seem weird just buying all this stuff, so I lied and said my wife was at home with our baby.” he says and you both laugh.

“You’re so funny.” you laugh, curling up closer to John.

“Felt kinda good though. To say I had a baby.”

“Not that you had a wife?” you say, frowning more than you intended.

“No, that felt really good to say.”

“Mhm, sure.” you bump his shoulder and he laughs.

“I promise, that felt…amazing to say. That I had a wife and baby that I needed to get home to. Yeah,” he nods and looks down at Harper as she fights to keep her eyes open then looks back to you. “It felt really good.”

“Well, you don’t have a wife or baby to get home to, but you have me, and I don’t want to toot my own horn but…” you lean closer to John and whisper, “I think I’m the next best thing.”

“Definitely. You are the best thing.”

You jokingly flick your hair off your shoulder and puff up your chest, “Thank you.”

“So, do I just lay her in her bed?” he asks as he gets up from the couch.

“Yeah, I’m sure she’ll fall right asleep.” you follow behind him, grabbing the baby monitor to set it up.

Watching from the doorway, you smile when you see John press a quick kiss to Harper’s cheek as he lays her in the bed. He sets up the monitor in several spots, trying to find the perfect place and he looks up at you for your approval when he sets it on the side table. You look at the monitor in your hand and give John a thumbs up.

He closes the door a little and turns to you, “Think she’ll be fine?”

“Yeah.” you say as you sit back on the couch, “Why didn’t you want her in our room? I thought you slept fine with her in there.”

You’re embarrassed to admit how much you liked having her in your room. Even though it was only one night, it was nice to look over and see her tiny hands balled into fists and her chubby cheeks.

John kneels in front of you and smiles, “I did, but this morning I wanted to kiss you so bad. I wanted to rip your clothes off and feel your body under mine, but I couldn’t because there was a baby staring at me.”

You start to laugh and nod your head, “I figured.”

“I can’t keep myself away from you. I mean, can you blame me? That dress you were wearing last night, I thought about it all night.” his hands trail up your thighs and you smile. “Oh! I got something for you. Close your eyes.”

John doesn’t move until you close your eyes, and you feel him move your hands so they cover your face. You hear him shuffling around in the kitchen and a plastic bag being opened. The house goes quiet and you remove your hands from your face, still keeping your eyes closed.

“John?” you call out and hear his shoes on the floor as he slowly walks back into the living room. You hear him kneeling down in front of you, his thumb brushes over your bottom lip and you almost jump.

“You can open them now.” John is kneeling in front of you with a cupcake on a plate and a single candle lit. “Happy birthday.”

“Jonathan!” You start to smile and reach out to caress his cheek. “Thank you so much, baby.��

“For the birthday girl.” he says and holds the plate up in front of your face. “Make a wish.”

Tapping your finger to your chin, you look around the room as you think of what to wish for. You look at John and smile, “I already have everything I want.”

“And I’m the cheesy one?” he laughs and puts the plate in your face again. “Make a wish, baby.”

“Okay fine,” you close your eyes and blow out the candle. “There, I made a wish.”

John puts the plate on the table and moves to sit next to you, reaching out for your hand. “I’m sorry I ruined your birthday.”

“You didn’t ruin my birthday, I promise. I don’t mind having them here, I really don’t.”

“I promise to make it up to you.” he says, and presses a kiss to your hand.

“John! There’s nothing to make up for, you didn’t ruin my birthday. Stop saying that, you dork.” you laugh and jokingly shove John away.

“Did you get any presents from anyone else?”

“Well, I don’t know if Tess got me anything, she was a little busy.” you laugh and lean back on the couch next to John. “April sent me a really nice text, said she wanted to get lunch sometime soon, you’re invited as well.”

“That’s nice of her.”

You grab two cards off the coffee table and hand them to John, “I got cards from my mom.”

“Two cards?” he laughs, holding them and waiting for your approval to read them.

“Yeah, she always sends me one really sappy card and one funny card. Balance.” you laugh and watch as John opens the cards.

John reads the cards and looks up at you, “She misses you a lot.”

You sigh and nod, “She does, but she’ll be here soon for the wedding and I’ll get to spend a few days with her.”

“Do you wish you could see her more?” he asks, putting the cards on the table and moving back to hold you. “That was a dumb question, of course you wish you could see her more.”

You lean your head against John’s shoulder and laugh, “Yeah, I do.”

“Do you wish you lived there?” he asks, stroking your hair.

“No,” you sit up and look at John, “I love my life here, because you’re here and I love what we have together. Our home, our dog, our friends. This is my home, this is where I belong. With you.”

A wide smile spreads across John’s face and he pulls you onto his lap to straddle him, “This is where you belong.”

“On your lap?” you tease, cocking up an eyebrow.

John starts to laugh and pulls you close to kiss him. “You know you can just buy a plane ticket and go there whenever you want, right?”

“Well, I cant. A ticket from here to there is like $500. That’s a lot of money, Mr. Wick.”

“You’re so cute.” John laughs and grips your waist, “I would be willing to pay for your tickets, anytime you want to go. If you want to fly there and back three times a day, I’m fine with that.”

“You would do that for me?” you smile softly at John and lean down to kiss him.

“Of course.” he nods and cups your face, “I would miss you like crazy if you left for a few weeks. I’d miss you even if it was a day, but I want you to be able to go home whenever you want.”

“That’s really sweet of you, John.”

“I just want you to be happy, and I want you to be able to see your mom as much as you want. I know you’d never do it because of money, but you don’t need to worry about that anymore. I’m gonna take care of you.”

“God, you are so fucking sweet.” you say and bite your lip when you see how gorgeous he looks in the light.

“So, what did you wish for?” he asks, looking down at his hands on your waist.

“You really wanna know?” you lick your lips and he nods fast, his hand slowly moving to the button of your pants. “…Yeah, I wished for that.”

“Say it.” his voice soft and low, whispering in your ear, “Say what you wished for.”

“You.” you say, straightforward and move to sit back on the couch.

He pulls you back and cups your face, “What about me?”

You know he wants you to say you want him and you smirk a little, looking down at the cupcake on the table and an idea blossoms in your head. You take a little frosting on your finger – which thankfully is white so it won’t stain your teeth, and you slowly put your finger in your mouth, sucking on it.

John watches closely, and his hands move up your thighs a little more and you swear he almost growls. You’re torturing the hell out of him and loving every minute of it. John looks down at the cupcake for a moment and sticks his finger in the frosting, then presses his finger to your lips.

“You want me to suck it?” you say with his finger pressed to your lips and he nods. You open your mouth and he slides his finger in as you run your tongue over his finger, sucking as he starts to slide it in and out. Meeting John’s gaze, it’s intense, burning holes into your skin and you shiver. “I want you for my birthday. That’s all I want, so I hope you didn’t get me any presents. Well, aside from my book we did together and my flowers.”

“Nope, no other presents.” John smirks as he stands up, revealing the erection that has been growing in his pants. “Well, just one.”

“Oh, you love to spoil me, don’t you?”

7th December, 15:21

School was over and Elizabeth came to the entry, didn’t know who will take her back to home or wherever she will be brought. Probably the precinct, anyway. Her papa’s or her daddy’s one, it was the same in the end.

She said goodbye to few friends and pulled out the tongue to Andy. Then she finished to cross the schoolyard. While she wasn’t yet at the end of the yard, she recognized someone and her heart bumped in her chest. She bounced then ran toward the person whom was talking in a cellphone. They looked to struggle.

She ran a little faster and jumped at the person legs, hugged them tightly.

“Hiiiii!”

“Hi!”

“I missed you!”

“Me too.”

She smiled widely and turned the head when she heard something. It was Andy whom coming and she hugged more tightly the legs.

“You see?! I told you my stepfather was an Android!” she screamed, as proud as a peacock.

“Elizabeth,” Connor said softly. “Don’t bother your little friend.”

“But…”

She looked toward him and saw that his cheeks were quite blue.

“Come, we’ll go to the precinct. You’re papa isn’t there already but he will soon.”

“Okay. You’ll stay with us?” she asked, looking him with wide eyes.

“I think, yes. If your papa is okay.”

“I’m sure he’s! He likes you so much!”

“Are you sure it’s not you who like me so much?”

“Too!” she giggled.

She had her hand in his and they walked in the street and she was so happy. She even didn’t care about the looks that finished on her. On the hand softly held. Or they were watching Connor. Maybe it depended of whom did it? The Androids looked her, for example.

After all, how a Human could love an Android and inversely.

Both didn’t care since the little girl talked about her day, so happy to share that with Connor. He was listening carefully and asked things. Then he talked about Sumo. He loved so much Sumo and Elizabeth was, of course, really entertained to listen about everything he could do.

As they walked, they arrived at the bus station. The precinct was not so near of the school and since Connor couldn’t drive a car… In fact, when the segregation ended, much robots started to want to drive and a lot gained their driver’s license. Few because they were already able to because of their works. Since, they should have passed the license. However, Connor didn’t feel the envy to drive especially because he was with Hank or, now, Gavin. Both could drive so it wasn’t really useful.

Now, just at this moment, he felt a little more the need to drive because people were looking his LED and his hand around Elizabeth’s one. Even the Androids looked him with astonishment. After all, a lot of Android discarded any sign of the fact that they were Robots. Some still used it but they were more and more rare.

The bus came and Connor let people got down and other got up before entering with the little girl. He has real money to help the transaction, knowing he should take the bus, and he took two tickets. The man behind his flywheel looked him as he walked in the alley. He let Elizabeth choose the place, near a window, and came to follow her.

“Wait a second!”

The voice was harsh.

Connor turned his head toward the head of the bus. It was the driver, getting up to come toward him.

“You’re an Android, isn’t it?”

“Yes.”

“You can’t come here. The Androids are in the back.”

“I’m sorry?”

“You can! Go in the back with the others!”

Connor was perplexed.

“I thought Markus has asked for the segregation to stop.”

“Yes. He does. And what he got? This! You have seat in the back. It’s pretty cool, no? Go there!”

Connor shook his head.

“I’m sorry, but no. I guess Elizabeth can’t come with me. Do you think I’ll let her alone? I rather sit with her.”

“I’ll kick you if you don’t move in the back, you shit!”

The Android looked him as the others passengers watched. A lot of Androids didn’t dare to act, in fact. Markus has gained rights for them but things needed time. They couldn’t just appear as they wanted to be seen for now. And they waited… Seat in the back, it was already a good thing. Even if it wasn’t the right law. Sometimes, it was better to just bend over and accept...

“I won’t repeat a third time, you dipstick. You. go. in. the. back. with. your. littles. friends.” The driver put his hand in his back pocket.

Elizabeth moaned, afraid.

“Conny…” she cried.

Connor couldn’t bear that. He really liked the little girl and she was Gavin’s daughter. For him, make her cry was like a double-crime.

“I hope for you it’s not a gun in your pocket.”

“Fucking Android!” The driver started to take what he had and Elizabeth screamed.

Connor got something in his jacket, too. People screamed in the bus, afraid. But the Android didn’t have a gun or whatever. However, what he showed frozen the man who licked hardly his lower lips.

“W… where do you…”

He watched the police badge in Connor’s palm.

“I’m Connor Anderson, the Android Detective working for the DPD. May I look in my data if you did something wrong, those lasts weeks? Or you prefer to try your chance with the gun? I never saw a trial from inside.”

In fact, Connor knew the man didn’t have a blank police record and he perfectly knew the man can’t force him to go in the back. It wasn’t the law after all.

“Okay. Okay… Just sit down. B… But, next time, say immediately you’re a fucking cop.” The man went to the front of the bus to sit behind his flywheel, mumbling against the Androids.

Connor sat beside the little girl and took her in his arms.

“Are you okay?”

“I… I’m okay. But I was scared.”

Connor hugged her more.

“I didn’t want you to be hurt.”

“I didn’t want you to be alone and hurt.”

The youngie cuddled in his arms. She was still scared. Maybe more because her both fathers were in the police? She knew. Sometimes, one will come back with bruises or wound and will explain, shortly, it happened in the work, because people weren’t kind. She knew what being hurt by a bullet or a weapon was and she had already her daddy in hospital. That time, he said it was the appendage but since her papa was worry and her daddy didn’t have his appendage since she was four, she didn’t think it was really the appendage.

She was just happy the man was okay now. And she was happy to get some love, caresses and hugs.

7th December, 17:37

As they came back to the precinct, Felix did the report on the computer and for Gavin too. For him, it was quite surprising that five of Gavin’s Classmates couldn’t remember him. Each of them, tough, used to have problem with Chloe when they were at school. The lady had warm blood and couldn’t stand it when people said something wrong about her brother. Since Elijah was weird and too intelligent, he really had people who hated him and insulted him. So Chloe was quite hated too but nobody has killed her or the ST200. Not with the alibis they gave.

Gavin couldn’t bore to hear him talk and talk.

It was weird because he almost had the same voice as Connor and he liked to hear Connor talk, in fact.

Almost because, for him, the voice were absolutely different. Connor’s one looked more soft, cute. And Felix has just a weird cold voice.

In his opinion.

He turned off the motor and went out of the car. Felix followed him, still doing the report. For three hours and half. Just kill him. And he even hadn’t eaten during the day. Only the coffee everyone offered to him and maybe a biscuit then, of course, the gum he chewed to don’t smoke. He wanted to smoke…

He went to the precinct and crossed the security.

“Connor is here.” He heard in his back.

Felix, of course.

But inside his heart, Gavin was happy to know that. He searched the Android with his eyes and smiled when he saw him but not only. As he was working, he had Elizabeth on his lap and seemed to help her to do her homework. She didn’t look like she was drawing anyway.

He went to the desk even if Hank was in front of it, drinking coffee while trying to make a report in his computer.

“I’ll do it, Lieutenant. Don’t worry about that. Do you need something in particular? I can make it appear in your terminal, maybe…”

“Don’t make life easy for you old dad, Connor. I won’t learn if you do everything for me.”

Well in fact, he tried to understand and manage his live around informatics since he was born. And he was from 85! Imagine how lame he could feel when he grew up with this technology. When all his friends got new and high-tech mp3, 4 or whatever the number and he still use a CD player because he preferred that and it was more easy. Well, now, he has a compact music player but still struggle with that.

“Plus, if you let him in his shit, it’ll be funnier. And I said sheet. With two e.”

“Of course,” Hank said with a fake smile.

“Papa!” Elizabeth jumped on the ground then at her father’s waist. “Papa! You should have seen Andy’s head when Conny came to pick me up! It was so funny!”

“Oh yeah?”

“Yeah! But most fun of that, we plied at rock, paper, scissors and you know what?”

“What?”

Gavin took his daughter in his arms and go back to his place.

“I win each time!”

“Awesome!!”

How Connor did that?

Connor got up after a quick glance to Felix whom went to his desk. In fact, he used Wilson’s one when this one didn’t use it. He had his own session since this morning so… But he could as well use Connor’s one, especially because the RK800 took Elizabeth’s stuff and came to Gavin’s desk to put it in.

He turned to go back with Hank and Gavin gave a quick look to him. He smiled as his daughter told things and things. In the same time, he looked the homework his daughter has made. It was obvious Connor helped her since he couldn’t see something wrong. Of course, his daughter was smart but she used to have one or two mistakes.

He kissed her head when she started to talk about her lunch. She had French fries with cheese and a salad with tomato sauce pellet so it was good. It was her daddy who paid for her lunch at school and sometime, she was a little guilty but it was so good. And her papa said it was okay and it was easier. Sometimes, she had bread or other things made by her papa. She was always happy. Gavin rose her like that. To be happy with wade live given to them.

7th December, 19:02

The door was closed when Gavin entered in his home. He got to the kitchen and his daughter bounced behind him.

“Can I help?”

“Yeah. What would you like to do?”

“Hmm…”

The little girl looked in the refrigerator as the TV was turning on. The emission they always watched was put on. The LP600 was still the main candidate.

She heard her papa’s belly gurgle.

“Pasta’s risotto?” she proposed.

It was something her papa made often since he didn’t have a lot of time to cook. They went home pretty late every time.

“Let’s do this.”

Gavin let her daughter took the ingredients and choose if they’ll do a cheesy recipe or more meaty. He wanted her to be happy and did what he can with that.

Finally, she chose for a fishy and seafood one. Gavin was glad to use the breaded fish and the last gambas he still have in her freezer. That make some place and he could buy new stuff after that.

“Tadaaam.”

Elizabeth was bright and happy as the meal was over. She put one ladle of pasta in each dish and they went in the sofa, in front of the TV. The game was almost finish and the youngie still needed to wash her, check her homework a last time and she maybe could hope to play a little before go to bed but she didn’t really hoped for that.

“May I taste?”

Elizabeth looked Connor, sit beside her.

“I thought you couldn’t?”

“It was right. I made some upgrade, in fact… Now, I can eat.” Connor smiled. “I wanted to taste your awesome meal. And I’m not disappointed you made a such meal with your papa, then!”

“Oooh!” Elizabeth took her fork and gave it to the Android.

He thanked her and taste. It was particular but… good?

“What can of other upgrade did you make?” Gavin asked.

Now he understood why the bot wanted to stay at Jericho and discuss with the people.

“I… can blush! The regular color for us his blue, to remind the thirium, the blue blood but we can choice the color. I hesitated for the red to look like you and North said I should choose the multicolor’s one but… I choose the blue finally.”

“Awesome!” the little girl smiled. “Blue his great! I love blue!”

She hugged him.

“You’re awesome, Conny!”

“You are,” he said, hugged her back.

Gavin hided a little smile, seeing them together.

Who of the band would you call to help you fix a flat tire? John, he's a dad and a diy guy, as much as I wanna say Rog I just don't want to deal with a drama queen when I'm having my own drama but I've seen him under the hood of a car so I've no doubt he probably knows how

What do you think Brian May smells like on am average day? Very woodsy, like pine needles and some light but expensive cologne

How would you kiss Freddie? On the cheek like a good friend I just can't get into his looks enough to think about kissing him any other way

How would you kiss John? Well if we're talking long haired fluffy John I'd probably psst at him to come around the corner and then give him a kiss and see what he does

How would you kiss Brian? Very carefully otherwise @squeezemylemon is gonna kill me so probably the sweet quick chaste type kiss

(My moment has come) I would walk up to him and grab ahold of one of the necklaces he wears and just pull his lips down to mine and crash mine onto his wrapping my arms around his neck kissing him for all I'm worth or less dramatically if we were just sitting on a couch or something I'd just lean my head up off his shoulder and press a gentler sort of kiss to his lips and see where he takes it after that

If you were going to date one of their kids who would it be? Felix, I'm partial to brunettes usually (Roger and Luke Skywalker are my exceptions) and he seems pretty cool and has done a lot of different things which would be interesting to talk about

14. Who's flat would you ask to crash at? I have reasons to want to say Roger's but banging aside I'd probably pick Freddie he was generous and funny and would probably do his beat to cheer me up from whatever circumstance had made me not have a place of my own to stay

15. Who would you want to teach you to play an instrument they play? Well I genuinely feel I'm best suited for drums so I'm not just saying Roger because he's my dude. Plus he could teach me the most instruments anyways considering as he knows drums, bass, electric, and keyboard.

16. If you could spend a day with Freddie what would you do? I'd just want to sit and have tea and talk and maybe go shopping later hear his advice and crack some jokes

Freddie had never been to an amusement park before, hadn't wanted to go really, but John had begged him to come along and then left him with Aston to babysit while he dealt with his actual children. It wasn't that she had anything against Fred it's just him tagging along on her elbow was keeping her away from the drummer whose attention she wanted. They got onto one of the rides and she saw how pale Freddie was looking and felt sorry for him. It wasn't his fault that he was being a third wheel or that the drummer was off on one of the more dangerous rides that Freddie was not about to get on.

"You can hold my hand if you want" Aston joked looking over at Fred.

"Really?" He asked a little relieved. The two of them chuckled and to Aston's surprise Freddie's black nail polished fingertips interlaced through hers and he looked a little more at ease for the comfort of human contact.

"It'll be fine" she grinned and then the ride took off and the black fingernails damn near dug into her hand in panic.

They had been living together for just over two months and despite not knowing how to boil an egg Roger somehow found a way to get into the kitchen and put things in the wrong spot. He came home from the stall.

"Where is the paprika?" She leveled at him before he had scarcely shut the door.

"The what?"

"Paprika, Rog, the spice that I was going to use for the supper I was cooking us, but I can't ever find anything in this kitchen" Aston said muttering as an afterthought "thanks to you."

"What was that?" Rog said coming over to her and looking darkly with his blue eyes.

"Just tell me where you put the paprika and we'll be fine" she sighed.

"I didn't fucking touch anything in your stupid kitchen" he glowered going to the liquor cabinet.

"Well I still can't find it" she huffed.

"Not my problem" he said swigging straight from the bottle.

"Well if you want dinner it kind of is" she retorted.

"I'll get something out" Rog said dispassionately.

"Fuck you" she muttered and went back to banging through the cabinets in search of the missing spice. She was on her knees with half her body in a lower shelf looking in the back and growing hotter for Roger showing no signs of caring or helping. She smelt the dish starting to burn on the stove and tried to crawl out, raising her head up and whacking it on the shelf above. She let out a round of oaths.

She went over to the stove and moved it off the heat halfway between tears and screaming.

"I'll order something" Roger said standing up.

"I can fucking cook!" She shouted "if only I could find the things I need when I need them."

"Well don't yell at me about it" Roger said and brushed past and out the door.

Aston collapsed onto the floor sitting with her back to the cabinets and started crying. She sobbed into the kitchen towel. So much for her cosy dinner at home with Rog. She was so distraught that she didn't hear the door open and close. She felt her fingers clutching the towel pried open and looked to see a bottle of paprika put into them. She turned her teary red eyes up to Roger's face. He pulled her to her feet and held her in his arms. Softly stroking her hair and planting a gentle kiss to her cheeks.

"Come on, I got us reservations, you can cook your thing tomorrow if you still want to" he looked down at her smiling and put a kiss to her nose and grinned at her in his arms.

1. Where do you live? I currently live in Delaware...yeah, the tiny ass state everyone forgets about.

2. One cool item you own? I’m trying to think of something really deep and meaningful...I have a Texas charm with golden star on it that I wear with a cross on a chain around my neck and never take off.

3. Moon or stars? The stars (High key one of the things I miss most about Texas)!

4. Places you’d like to travel to? Either to London or to Disney...both are related to Peter Pan for reasons.

5. Favorite song? I cannot possibly pick just one song...music is everything. Praying by Kesha has me all sorts of in the feels right now.

6. Do you have any fears? I am afraid of so many things. I am afraid of the dark, germs, going into anaphylaxis, letting people down, not being good enough...I should stop now, right?

7. Do you feel different than you did last year? I mean I guess. The past year has been really bad for me, but I’ve just recently started feeling really hopeful about the future.

8. What is your race? I am white as white can be. I’m 75% Canadian (25-British, 25-Irish, and 25-French with a bit of Native American mixed in) and then 25% mystery that is most likely German or Dutch.

9. Pet peeves? People being assholes when they disagree with something and people smacking when they eat. (These two just stuck out, there are more, I’m petty as hell)

10. Any siblings? I have 3 sisters.

11. Are you a gamer? Only if The Sims and Dream Daddy count. Hand eye coordination is not there.

3. Wake back up at 10:00 to travel to Brooklyn to see an apartment

4. It’s a tiny box away from all trains so you pass

6. Try to sleep but just idly watch Netflix until you leave to go to dinner at your mom’s friend Susan’s apartment

7. Buy Black Sesame mochi to take as a gift

8. Have a really nice dinner with Susan and her husband Howard, neither of them like the mochi

9. Read on the train home

10. Rearrange your entire day/cancel things to accommodate someone who asked you last minute to babysit Tuesday from 7:30am to 7:00pm

11. Get a text from them the night before cancelling

12. Sleep until 4:00pm

13. Call your energy company from New Orleans and try to work out what they did with your deposit they haven’t sent back yet

14. Meet your friend Lizzy

15. Get 9 dollars worth of Indian food

This showed up today on my FB Flashback, pretty humorous article I had e-mailed a friend who had moved out of the Jacksonville area back in the late '90s. It's from the Florida Times-Union sports section during Super Bowl XXXIX week here in the 904! Circa January 2005 - Enjoy! Go ahead, bash us! We can take it; we'll even help you insult our fair town! By: MATT SOERGEL, The Times-Union Dear glamorous out-of-town journalist: How y'all doin'? Thanks for leaving your incredibly cosmopolitan city to spend a few days here in the sticks. We know: We can't believe we got the Super Bowl either! And we know that a big part of your Super Bowl fun lies in pointing out the inadequacies of the host city, even if it's San Diego, which is, like, the most perfect place on earth. Boy, you must be licking your lips waiting to dig into us (if you've been able to wait, that is). And then you've got Detroit next year -- lucky you! It gets even better: To do your big story on Jacksonville, we've saved you the trouble of having to leave your no-doubt completely unacceptable hotel room. (Sorry, the Magic Fingers aren't working and the soda machine's out of Diet.) We've done it for you. After whiling away a few hours down by the "cee-ment" pond, swatting at mosquitos and gnawing on boiled peanuts, we've come up, for all our colleagues covering Super Bowl XXXIX, exactly XXXIX reasons to bash Jacksonville. (Sure, we had more, but the XXXIX number just seemed so catchy.) They're all yours: Feel free to embellish/adapt/discard as you wish. 1. Jacksonville's original name was Cowford, a Timucuan Indian word meaning "hot, flat boring place by the river." 2. Jacksonville: Conveniently located near South Georgia. 3. Yes, we're small. But we are the second biggest city in the country with a "ville" in its name, behind only Hooterville, home to Uncle Joe, the Petticoat Junction girls and Arnold the pig. 4. Yup, that's downtown. That's all there is. There isn't any more. 5. There are so places to eat after midnight. You got a problem with waffles? 6. There are multiple dining options in Jacksonville: Fried or smothered in barbecue sauce. Or both. On waffles. 7. Strip clubs here have either nudity and no alcohol, or alcohol and no nudity. City council members spent the better part of January discussing how many square inches of buttocks could be exposed by bikini dancers. Some fun, huh? 8. As unbelievably grim as it is here for you glamorous out-of-town journalists, we're actually all spiffed up for our big date with the Super Bowl. You should see us in the morning, without our makeup on. Man, oh man. 9. Is Jacksonville Southern? Put it this way: We have public schools named for Robert E. Lee, Jeb Stuart and Nathan Bedford Forrest (one of the founders of the KKK). 10. There really are Confederate flags in the windows of pickup trucks. We can vouch for that. 11. Sure, it's unbearably hot nine months of the year. But it's a wet heat. 12. "Cute" is probably not the highest praise a Super Bowl city could ask for its airport. 13. Jacksonville's as red as red-state America gets. And if you have a problem with that, you must be a girly-man, defeatist ultra-liberal who hates America. 14. Even Orlando likes to make fun of us. Orlando! Our response: "Yeah, well ... um ... uh ... Mickey Mouse!" 15. When we want to make fun of someplace, we pick on Yulee. Hardly a fair fight, but that's the way we like it. 16. Since they fixed the paper mills, it doesn't smell anymore. Not as much anyway. Unless the wind's blowing down from Yulee. 17. Yes, that's an ocean 15 miles east of here. But they built the city on a river. Go figure. 18. Jacksonville is so backward, the river runs north. 19. There are lots of things for tourists to do here. It's called St. Augustine. 20. You weren't mistaken: Somebody just called you "honey." (Admit it: You liked it.) 21. True fact: The college radio station in town plays easy-listening music. 22. At last count, 18 radio stations were vying for the honor of being called Jacksonville's classic-rock station. 23. The remaining three stations play today's country hits, all the time. 24. There are two kinds of homeowners in Jacksonville: Those who say they have cockroaches, and those who are liars. 25. That cool Skyway tram you see running through downtown? It doesn't go to stadium. Or the arena. Or the ballpark. Or The Jacksonville Landing. But it does connect a couple of really big parking lots. 26. Jag-wars? Jag-wires? We're still making up our minds. 27. Lynyrd Skynyrd, Molly Hatchet and .38 Special all came from Jacksonville. Notice a trend? 28. Limp Bizkit too. Our bad. 29. Just like in other cities, concertgoers here hold up cigarette lighters and chant: "Free Bird!" Only we're not being ironic. 30. Jacksonville is so boring, even hurricanes won't come here. 31. The biggest landmark downtown is First Baptist Church. At least we know they aren't going to go out of business. 32. Can't find a cab? Don't feel bad. Jacksonville natives have never seen one either. "That's one o'them yeller cars, right?" 33. Last call in this town is 2 a.m. However, get-your-butt-kicked-because-you-looked-at-my-girlfriend-the-wrong-way-time is right around 1:45 a.m. 34. Yes, that was a restaurant sign you saw that said "Chinee-Takee-Outee." 35. A strip mall for every taste. 36. There's a slight sprawl problem. Wherever you are, you're 25 minutes from wherever you want to be. 37. Sweet Home Alabama invariably gets the biggest cheers at a Jaguars game. And we don't even like Alabama. 38. Jaguars games almost never sell out. We're too busy doing, um, ah, all kinds of other exciting stuff instead. 39. The city recently chose a new slogan: Where Florida Begins Runner-up slogan? The City That Sleeps
