alone: How does your OC deal with loneliness? Have they ever been completely alone before? How do they act when there's no one around to see them?

Not great, that’s certain. Fiona’s first instinct is to make up for what he’s missing so he’ll insert himself into social scenes: bars, clubs, social clubs (like game nights at the library) things like that that help him meet people. Hopefully he’ll hit it off with someone and maybe cure his loneliness! (Or just end up making himself so busy with social obligations that he doesn’t have to think about his loneliness which may not be a cure but it works well nuff for a while, right?) 

Yes, Fiona has been alone before! When he announced he was heading into law school, quitting his job, and also annulling his engagement all at once. His parents were not pleased, his fiance (Chiamaka) was most definitely not pleased, and he didn’t have any friends who weren’t the children of his parents’ friends. 

So he went into law school on his own and it wasn’t great. The pressure to do well was real. He couldn’t depend on going to his parents, he wasn’t even sure they still wanted to see him and his support system (ie the children of his parents’ friends) were squarely on his parents side. It was a rough three years, to say the least. 

When alone, Fiona’s a lot more introspective and passive. His clothes reflect that. It’s still bold and bright, but far simpler and with less effort.

RAMS

A romantic relationship? It was barely a relationship, to be fair… Co was popular in school and had a couple of people who didn’t hide their crushes on cos but co never really minded so? Once, she did get into a relationship for about 1 semester and they broke up right before Valentine’s Day due to Rams being 1) negligent, she was far too preoccupied with schools to pay attention to her boyfriend and 2) she was still figuring out her gender and couldn’t pinpoint or explain (at the time) why she was okay being called ‘he’ or ‘she’ but not ‘boyfriend’, ‘babe’, ‘girlfriend’ which are all nicknames her boyfriend used for Rams repeatedly. Rams didn’t know how to explain it and just kind of, distanced himself from his partner. So he was expecting the whole thing to blow up in his face and then it did :) After that, he didn’t date for the rest of his highschool career. 

As for other types of heartbreaks, yes, he did! One of Rams’ guardians, Mr Erndheart, was dealing with a lot on his plate when he was raising Rams. Really. But he really dropped the ball in some places. A memory that shaped Rams was the day he brought home his seventh grade report card. Co’d fallen off so many classes. Rams was a straight A student and, in this report alone, co had: two D’s, a C, and B’s without an A in sight. Rams knew it wasn’t a good report but co showed it to Mr Erndheart and Ms Sullivan (his guardians) anyway. Co’d expected concern or even anger. 

They got neither. Mr Erndheart didn’t care. He just looked over it and handed the report back as if it were Rams’ typical report. As if there was nothing wrong with what he saw. At that point, Rams learned a lesson they still hold close: no one cares whether I struggle or thrive.

Are you planning on doing only ML salt fics? Or are there any non-salt fics planned?

I mean, it's honestly hard to say? Theres a lot in canon that just makes it difficult not to have salt. I mean, I wrote an old Adrienette oneshot that wasn't salt, but I honestly had to stop myself short before I did put salt in it somewhere.

The problem is that their are inconsistencies and a lot of plot armor characters in the show, so it makes it difficult to write fics without unintentionally bashing a lot. I mostly write salt with it now since I figure I might as well just roll with it. However, my intentions are not always to write ML salt: in my newest Maribat fic, I didn't even originally plan to throw salt at the class, and Chat Noir, and all of Paris itself... it just kinda happened in the prewrite and I decided "yeah it would make more sense with all that so I might as well".

My one shots don't usually have salt in them, unless its solely focused on them. So look out for those ;D

Sometimes it genuinely disturbs me that within literal minutes of watching something for the first time, the bud of a character knocks down the doors to my brain and goes "SUP BITCH" and then oh no there goes an afternoon getting the basics of them down.

It's like they already exist fully formed in my mind just waiting to pounce as soon as I have the context for them.
