I know it's not technically a fairy tale, but do you happen to have any recs for retellings of Tam Lin?
--Siena
Unfortunately, no, since I haven't read any. However, I've heard good things about The Perilous Gard, which I believe draws from that fairy tale.
#answered asks#fairy tales#fairy tale retellings#tam lin#thewatercolours#i thought i had an answer for this#and it turns out i was thinking about my never-finished twelve dancing princesses retelling#where the soldier character was captured by the fairy king#and the eldest princess character frees him by invoking the tam lin clause#where as a member of the royal house#(the fairy king is her godfather)#she has the right to offer pardon to another member of the royal family#and the right to make someone a member of the royal family by marriage#but because he's a prisoner she'd have to prove her devotion to him by enduring the trials#so they know it's not just him trying to take advantage of her#it doesn't make a ton of sense but most of the book didn't either which is part of the reason i never finished#but anyway she agrees to the trial not knowing what it is only knowing she can't release him#and then she's horrified by him 'getting turned into' a bunch of increasingly ferocious animals#though in this universe fairy magic can't actually transform people so the magic's actually being done on her#to give extremely detailed all-five-senses hallucinations that this is what's happening#while the guy is magically silenced to stop him from breaking the illusion#and then when everything's over her soldier has no idea what she just had to endure but just knows it was traumatic#and that he had to watch her suffer it without being able to comfort her#but she wins the trial gets his freedom and everyone lives happily ever after#if i actually did anything with this story i prob wouldn't include this part because it's pretty tangential#but it's relevant to this tam lin discussion#*the fairy king is her grandfather not godfather#i'm not going back to retype all that

"You told me it was our duty to hold the realm united against a common foe. By naming me heir, you divided the realm. I thought I wanted it. But the burden is a heavy one. It’s too heavy. If you wish for me to bear it, then defend me. And my children."
Episodes 8
What is your opinion on this speech?
Rhaenyra is absolutely correct that Viserys divided the realm when he named her heir, despite telling her it was her duty to hold the realm united, and that he placed a heavy burden on her shoulders and didn't do a whole lot for her in terms of practical support. I think it's interesting that the show chose to highlight how neither Rhaenyra nor Aegon particularly want to rule. I think for show!Rhaenyra, it makes a good deal of sense. I always got the sense that if Viserys had disinherited her, show!Rhaenyra's pride would be wounded, but she would probably be at least a tiny bit relieved. It's that same pride that won't let her just admit that it might not be worth it, that maybe she'd rather just step back (and there's a cut dialogue with Daemon in which she voices these doubts to him and he immediately shuts her down saying she's weak like Viserys... hm!). In light of this, it isn't particularly out of character for show!Rhaenyra to be considering the peace offer Otto delivers (book!Rhaenyra is another story, she has no doubts and does not give a fuck about keeping the realm united, she wants to win, period). She has a good life on Dragonstone, her kids are out of the public eye and aren't facing accusations of bastardy, and Daemon has his dragon hobby to keep him occupied. She doesn't need the throne, and if it's not actually that important to Viserys, then he should just say so. If he really wants her to be queen and has a good reason for it, then do something. She has a point.
That said, if Rhaenyra doesn't want the burden, she can give it up at any time, and if she actually does want to be heir, she's not doing herself any favors either. She is the one who stayed away, who went to Dragonstone and was absent from court while the green council built up their power base. And while yes, Dragonstone is the official holding of the heir to the throne, most heirs split their time between King's Landing and Dragonstone because it's important for the heir to learn the workings of the realm and to make connections and alliances. Dragonstone is only a few hours away on from King's Landing on dragonback, and it's a relatively small holding with only a few villages, so it's not as if it requires its prince or princess to be in residence at all times. Aside from that, Rhaenyra also had three bastard children and put them in the line of succession, which she knew was going to cause problems (and in this, Viserys did offer her a ton of support, including allowing his own son's maiming to go unpunished and Vaemond to be killed to maintain that lie). So it kind of goes both ways. Rhaenyra acts like she doesn't really care all that much about being heir beyond the validation it gives her, that she is the favorite child, the one he chose, and Viserys stubbornly keeps her as heir but does nothing to shore up her claim or mitigate the threats against her, and it's divided the realm despite Viserys insisting the realm must remain united, so what are we actually doing here? I liked this scene, I think it reveals a good deal about show!Rhaenyra's mindset.
I think if done well, the show can have Rhaenyra really spiraling due to grief and rage, going from feeling like she should preserve the peace and that maybe it isn't worth it, to feeling like she has to win out of spite (and I think this can apply to both sides. You have Otto and Rhaenys giving Alicent and Rhaenyra similar speeches in the trailer) and a desire for vengeance. I don't... hate this? But the show has to stop giving Rhaenyra the chosen one rightful heir halo and admit that she doesn't go to war for the good of the realm, but for her own very personal reasons.

Baby 🗣🦋
Not a request but a question? Bc I need to know your thoughts about it.
Who of our precious boys fell first? Who fell harder? Who fell first AND harder in love? 👀
My thoughts so far:
Leo : fell first and harder ( nah cause I feel like once someone actually likes him back ( WHY DOES NOBODY IN THE CAMP WANT MY SEXY ADORABLE FUNNY TALENTED FIRE BOY?!) I feel like baby would be 100% devoted and not let go of you yk?
Jason : I feel like he fell either slowly but surely in love OR took forever to realise how fast he fell in love ( if that makes sense?)
Percy: fell way too hard ( there's no way you're getting rid of him babe - he is your man forever)
Luke : I actually don't fully know about this hotting right here 😭
Frank : fell probably first ( my cutie )
Conner : fell first and harder 🤚 ( fight me on this. I. Dare. You. ) 🤺🤺🤺🤺
Mhuaw 💋 Mhuaw 💋
~ 🎀
MY BBGRLLLLLLLLLL HELLO MY LOVELY GIRLLLLLL
okay okay, im about to stir the pot, sit tight.
for MY boy leo (yall back off hES MINE) i concur. when it loves, it doesn't ever go away. like, ever. he's used to temporary things, foster families kicking him the curb quickly and moving around constantly. the only thing stable is how he feels and how he can make others feel. hence the humor. if he can make them laugh, he knows how they feel. and he dives into these things headfirst and without looking both ways. hence why he's legit the funniest. he'd be the most in love and the most devoted, doting on you and taking care of you. his feelings towards you are real and solid and never going anywhere.
jason def did not realize he was in love but sure as hell was acting like it. he would give his left arm to ensure your happiness but would wave it off saying it was friendly. until one day, he was like 'what do you mean i shouldn't want to kiss my friend??" and then it hit him that he was completely in love. nothing changed with his actions but now that he knew, he got all blushy and shy around you and all that stuff.
now, for percy, i kinda agree but not completely. i mean, we see it first hand in the books. bro had no idea what he was feeling and, like jason, thought it was just friendly feelings. so, i would say that you'd fall first, bc he's hot af, but he def fell harder. bro is causing craters with how hard he fell for you, killing the dinosaurs and shit.
okay, okay lukey pookie def fell first but without a doubt you fell harder. luke doesn't know what he's doing, but he sure as hell knows how to act like he does. he can play smooth and flirty and fun all he wants, but he struggles with the plain stuff, like the warm smiles and the soft kisses to the temple and all that. he doesn't know how to do it, never saw it with his mom or dad. he struggles with the fragility of it all, so he's pulling back, leaving all the mushy gushy stuff to you. not that he doesn't love you any less, just that he struggles to portray it in a constructive manner.
frankie bow bankie did not, in fact fall first. you did, which then made you clingy (in a good way), which then made frank realize that he liked you too. i think frank struggles with the concept that people like him, that he's not too rough to be loved, not too much like his father.
now...for the controversy...connor didn't fall first IM SORRY IM SORRY BUT I HAVE TO DEFEND THIS I CANT JUST LET MISINFORMATION BE SPREAD ABOUT THIS MAN RIGHT HERE i will give you that he fell harder, that boy loves you in fireworks and rollercoasters and nation-sized balloons. just this massive ton of love being splatted on you every hour of every day. but you fell first. im sorry but you did. connor is the shy one out of the stolls. connor isn't travis, cool and confident, even if he pretends he is. connor can act all suave for the people but the moment he's forced to enact this for pretty girls, he's a sputtering mess. so, he just avoids it and basically forces you to ask his ass out.
THERE YOU GO BOW ANON I HOPE I HAVE CONVINCED YOU OF MY THEORIES OKAY BYE BYE NOW MUCH LOVE OT YALL

Do u like darklina? If yes, why? If no, why?
i definitely don't
the reasons are many but i only need one: she doesn't want to be with him and she didn't even liked him that much as she liked the attention. She only went with him when she thought Mal has ignoring him, on the book version she never iniciates a kiss (like, their lack of chemistry as lovers on the books its quite amazing, they only have enemies chemistry at the very best) Alina just lies there like a puppet and makes it happen. He is like her self steem fueller and he was not only perfectly aware of that but makes sure she sees him as such by sabotaging her comunication with Mal, her only friend and having Genya spying on her as well (okay, that the other grisha soldiers her age besides David is ulterly obnoxious certainly helped but still)
Its a little better on the show because at least she shows some interest and book!Alina clearly saw herself as inferior to him while on the show she tries to stand up as an equal which is a nice change and a fix of something that i never liked on the books.
Anyway , neither version work because in both the darkling at the end of the day his attachment to her its awfullly self centered. he is a serious first class narcisist. For him, Alina´s value is always thetered to him, never her, its always what she does for him and thinks Alina having her own mind and morals as a betrayal.
Book darkling supposedly cares about her, but his level of writing is a thanos level of mess. Show darkling is a little better at showing afection towards Alina, but its definitely not enought, he still does horrible things and only sees her as an extention of herself. In short: he doesn't love her at all
And Alina doesn't even need Mal to not love him. In both versions she turns against him when she learns what he did, she needed almost nothing to stop trusting him. Even if you erase Mal´s existence this still would happen, in fact
-book version, Alina had a big fight with Mal and against her heart , choose to be done with him (only reconcilied when Mal´s virtues proven to be bigger than his flaws) so could as well be out of the picture. Mal didn't play a part, she turned against the darkling because she deemed him as untrustworthy despite his better attemps to make himself Alina´s most important person
-Show version, Alina by this point doesn't even know she will find Mal so he doesn't play a part either
To make an emphasis, i honestly think Alina suffers from tons of inconsistent writting on the first two books BUT i will pretend she doesn't: compare how she instantly choose to believe Genya had a good reason for lying to her, this is someone she actually loves (and yes, i have complained about this issue, i still do, but its canon so the point has to stick)
All of this to say: she is so not in love with him, the attraction is undeniably there but there is no love that isn't born of the false affection the darkling tried to build and failed (also, Alina´s natural compasion probably played a part) this girl choose death before being with him.
thats the conclusion to me: they are not in love
And sure i am probably biassed but i will still defend my case: other grishaverse ships that are on my notp territory along with darklina would be nikolai/alina and kaz/jesper.
I really wish i could say nikolai was not in love with alina (alina IS not in love with him, thats canon) or that Jesper was not in love with Kaz so the narrative works on my favor, but i can't, they were , thats canon regardless if i like it or not.So you can say i am at least trying to get bias away and at leas on my mind the statement that they (alina and the darkling) weren't in love makes sense

HELP WANTED!
Hey there everyone, I have a annocement for potential writers out there but before I begin, let me bring some context to all of this so you can understand all of this better.
When a film becomes very popular and gets sequels, they usually get spinoff material to other mediums to make more money like TV shows, comic books, or video games and Shrek is no exception especially when it comes to its most popular character: Puss in Boots which is where The Adventures of Puss in Boots comes in.
Tumblr media
Running from 2015 to 2018, The Adventures of Puss in Boots is an American computer animated series by DreamWorks Animation that was developed and executive produced by Dave the Barbarian creator, Doug Langdale, that is kind of a prequel to Puss' 1st spinoff film from 2011.
The show sees Puss in Boots fight off an endless legion of invaders to protect the previously hidden village of San Lorenzo, after his actions unintentionally broke the spell that protected its legendary mystic treasure from the outside world. Subsequently, he must find a way to restore the protection spell that will cloak the town once more.
Since this takes place before either the 1st Puss in Boots film or even the Shrek films, that means well known characters from the franchise don't appear in the series to some fans' disappointment but that doesn't mean it wouldn't have characters that people won't love to the point of having a favorite which is where Dulcinea comes in.
Tumblr media
Voiced by Glee's Jayma Mays, Dulcinea is A sweet and innocent female white cat whom Puss falls for and follows to the town of San Lorenzo, starting off the plot. Now, characters who are positive can be a mixed bag since the writers always mixes positivity with stupidity.
However, Thanks to Jayma's performance and her character development, she is able to be a likeable female character that uses her smart and kindheart to solve things then beating the crap out of people like how many modern female characters are today.
Another thing that makes her work is the romantic chemistry she has with Puss which is very sweet and kind of heartwarming to the point, similar to Puss and Kitty, you are rooting for them to get together in the end.
Tumblr media
This is also thanks to Puss' voice actor for the series, Eric Bauza, who before this show or Looney Tunes Cartoons was only know for voicing characters like Stimpy in Ren and Stimpy Adult Party Cartoon and Lord Stingray in Superjail but this series proved how not only can he pull off a voice that unrecognizable from his own, similar to Mel Blanc, but can have great chemistry with anyone he works with either a well known voice actor like Paul Rugg and Jim Cummings or a well-known big name like Danny Trejo and Jayma Mays.
Tumblr media
However, unlike All King Julien which was nominated for a ton of awards and won some, TAOPIB was only able to won one award for Outstanding Casting for an Animated Series or Special and add that to being on a spinoff show to a film on a streaming service, the show wasn't as well known or talked about thanks to the sour reputation of those kinds of shows.
This also goes to Dulcinea that since most film franchises don't acknowledge other film related media, People prefer Puss to be with Kitty Softpaws who appeared both in the 2011 film and it's 2022 sequel Voiced by Desperado's Selma Hayek.
Tumblr media
Which to some people makes more sense. I mean not to slam Dulcinea but Kitty seems like the better match to Puss due to being more similar to him in terms of personality, appearing in the films first then the the TV show first, and her actress didn't appear in garbage like Epic Movie or the live action Smurfs films.
However, in my opinion, I prefer Puss with Dulcinea more. Now, I am not saying that Puss x Kitty sucks. I think they are also a great couple and the chemistry between Antonio Banderas and Selma Hayek is great but in terms to the Shrek franchise and it theme about opposites attracting like with Shrek and Fiona.
But since Puss and Kitty seem like the endgame if the ending of The Last Wish would suggest, It seems that Dulcinea was always going to be forgotten to the sands of Deamworks Animation history... or is she?
That's where my fanfic comes in.
Tumblr media
The Adventures of Puss and Dulcinea was my answer to this dilemma. Inspired by the The DragonSaver's GOTG fanfic, Half Worlders of the Galaxy, this fanfic puts Dulcinea into the events of the films either helping out or having cute romantic moments with Puss.
However, there is a problem with this. With Half Worlders of The Galaxy, that fic was written when the MCU was still loved and everyone wasn't acting like a wantabe Garth Enis taking pot shots at it every 24/7.
Shrek on the other hand....Well, Let's just say that the films between Shrek 2 and Puss in Boots weren't well received or worth remembering. Sure, Shrek Forever After had its moments but ending the film series with a plot inspired by Its A Wonderful Life isn't the most original idea.
That is where you come in.
I am looking for a co-writer or co-writers to help me develop my own version of Shrek the Third where I am going to write it as the last film in the Trilogy similar to others film trilogies like How to Train Your Dragon or Guardians of the Galaxy only everyone doesn't break up in the final film.
I decided to combine elements from Shrek the Third, Shrek Forever After, and Puss in Boots: The Last Wish into one plot with the 1st Puss in Boots film being a subplot in the past similar to films like The Godfather: Part 2.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Of course, I need some help with trying to make all of this work without it becoming a jumbled up mess so I am looking for someone that a fan of not just the films but also the Netflix Series as well as hating using tired or problematic cliches, women in the refrigerator, that might ruin the fanfic as a whole.
I have doc that has the Synopsis for my version of Shrek 3 and some character ideas for the the story I attached on to this post. I hope they are good ideas to all of you but I am open to some suggestions to improve it if you want to help.

To contact me, DM me on either my Tumblr account, my Twitter account, or my Instagram account if you are interested in being apart of this.
You can also comment on this post as way to apply if that's more easier to all of you.

WINNIE HOWLING is based on WINNIE WEREWOLF from Hotel Transylvania 2. She is a SHAPESHIFTER, COLLEGE STUDENT, and uses she/her pronouns. She has the power of SHIFTING, ENHANCED SMELL and SUPER STRENGTH.
Important History
a business lady through and through, winnie is ambitious and determined. she put off her own future for a long time to help her family mainly because her brothers were all running off and leaving her to be the only reliable child - classic eldest daughter moment
technically, she was the only daughter up until recently but it still counted
her whole life, she stood out from all of her brothers but, when she was younger, winnie tried really hard to be just like them...even if she tried to make it seem like she couldn't stand them
she traversed the line between being feminine and being a complete tomboy and she had no shame about wearing her pink punk shirts
growing up with so many brothers instilled in her the kind of male confidence that was often misplaced and, to be fair, it worked to her advantage more often than you'd think. second guessing herself just wasn't something the girl ever learned how to do and she wasn't going to start now
winnie has a tendency to be rowdy and abrasive when the time calls for it, ready to protect those she cares about even if it means putting herself into dangerous situations; which happened more often than you'd think (and sometimes unnecessarily).
these days though, winnie is going to put herself and her future first which means finally heading back to business school and starting to build her company. her time is now!
winnie has an incredible sense of smell, so incredible that she easily fell into the category of super smeller. a lot of the time, it comes in handy but there were times when she resented having such a talent
she isn't super close with either of her parents but if it came down to it, Winnie is a daddy's girl at the end of the day. he's so stressed out all the time, she feels like it's on her to help if she can
a few years ago, winnie stopped pretending not to be a full-blown romantic. romance books, movies - even romantic comedies - she loved them all and between getting her degree and building an empire, winnie was going to get her epic love story
she's never had a ton of friends, there were way too many siblings and family weirdness to explain to anyone new, but that's fine with winnie; she always preferred having a few close friends than a ton of people she didn't really know
it feels strange not to be the only daughter anymore in her family and she doesn't feel like she's done enough to be a good role model for her little sister, a feeling she's never really had before, so there's some extra internal pressure that Winnie has put on herself to do something worthwhile
loves to go for runs in the woods, letting loose when stress gets to be too much
she carries that with people in her life too, inviting people to let loose, to lose their inhibitions every once in a while, and feel the animalistic nature that is inherently in everything you do
APPEARANCE
Face Claim: jaz sinclair

"Blood Mercy" by Vela Roth
"Blood Mercy" is a fantasy novel that promises a slow-burn, steamy romance. It is slow and it is steamy, but it's also cute and sad and interesting.
The reader follows Cassia, who is the human bastard daughter of the King who rules Tenebra - the region of land that sits south of Othros (separated by water) and north of Cordium (or, the Magelands). Right from the start, we realize that Cassia has spent most her life in fear of her father and his court. She has stayed quiet and docile, but has a plan cooking from the very first page. What that plan is - of course, we don't know. And we won't know until at least halfway through the book.
Starting off, there's a lot to unpack and it can get kind of tangled in the mind, if you're like me. The reader is provided all this information that they have to shuffle through all at once to know what's going on and nothing is explained very well in the beginning. The initial chapters are a little daunting, but it starts to clear up midway through if you have the patience.
(There's also a map of the world in the book that helps the reader identify major locations, but doesn't help for the more specific places that are mentioned, like the temples, forests, ruins, etc. AND there's a glossary in the back of the book, which I only realized was there halfway through reading it. It helped a ton, and I'm so glad the author decided to include it.)
Within the first several chapters, we meet Lio - an initiate ambassador from Othros who has traveled to Tenebra with the other members of the Hesperine embassy ("Hesperine" is the name given to the nocturnal people who feed on blood for their life force) to negotiate peace talks with the King and his council (which is the Council of the Free Lords). There's a lot of backstory here about why these negotiations need to take place. Like I mentioned, it can be confusing at first, but it clears up as the story progresses.
Cassia and Lio, fairly early on, form a clandestine friendship of sorts as they maneuver their way through the Summit (which is the name given to the series of talks taking place between the Hesperines and the King and his Council) in their respective roles. Cassia is very limited in what she's allowed to do (by order of the King) and Lio cannot jeopardize his very first diplomatic mission by meeting with Cassia, but alas, she needs whatever answers she's looking for and he just can't stay away from her. Their friendship ultimately evolves into something else, which could expectedly either end very well or very badly for everyone.
"Blood Mercy" is told from both Cassia and Lio's perspective, which was a very good choice by the author. Their lives, perspectives, goals, and feelings are so different from one another. It was nice to see how they responded to each other and the things going on around them through their own thoughts.
Overall, the story was captivating. I enjoyed Cassia and Lio and - because it was more of a slow-burn - I'm glad that the author mainly focused on their interactions. However, despite focusing mainly on the two characters' nighttime rendezvous, Roth still gave the reader a decent picture of each character individually and their day-to-day lives. We learned a lot about the other characters this way, and it worked well.
Now, this is a seven-book series so I don't know if I'll be hanging on through the whole thing. I am not ashamed to admit that I don't have that long of an attention span nor do I desire to read seven books of the same story - especially when they are as long as these ones are. However, I could see myself wanting to read more and eventually maybe reading them all at some point. There was something about this book that makes me glad I read it, though I'm hesitant to get too attached.
The way this story was written kind of set me back a little. The vernacular didn't always make sense and it could get a little cheesy. The dialogue between characters who had known and loved each other didn't always seem familiar or friendly. More than once, the characters spoke to each other as if they were speaking solely to the reader in order to tell a little more of the story, or get a slightly better glimpse into their life, but it didn't flow like you would hope for it to. It seemed forced and a little stale. The friendships here didn't write themselves, if that makes sense? Because of that, I left this book not deeply caring about any of the other characters. Lio and Cassia were the only characters whose conversation seemed to flow without too much effort - thankfully, since their conversations make up about half of the book.
Overall, it was a good story, in my opinion. I definitely liked it. The ending was outrageous, but a phenomenal effort in getting the reader to come back for more. Did it work on this reader? I guess we will see.

Should hank (post x force 50) have his time travel memories? No idea how that should work here
"My what now?"
Tumblr media
So, I actually had a whole ass argument over about maybe 20 Reddit posts about precisely this topic, because of course I did, I'm me.
I'm of the opinion that he absolutely should, they just wouldn't be unlocked yet because he skipped over the trigger that Jean set for them to unlock, back post-Extermination.
Every single version of Hank McCoy in the Cerebro cradles should have had those memories, because that's how time travel works - he went forward in time, had his magic adventures, went back in time, they were sealed, and then, going forward, he always had them, just locked.
The other person's logic was that X-Force Beast would have intentionally deleted the teen Beast time travel memories because they were were either A) compromising, or B) emotionally traumatic, and he didn't want them included in the 80s backup?
I don't know enough about how the Cerebro back up process works to say definitively. Hell, I don't know if enough has been said about the back up process to say definitively!
I was of the impression that they're saved like hard drive back ups, dating to distinct versions, that Cerebro scanned Hank's brain back in the 80s like it did to everyone, and that version was saved as Hank McCoy Brain 1985.brainfile.
This person seemed to think that back-ups dating back were created by editing present day brain scans to remove current day memories, and kind of sculpt the old version out of the newer, but that doesn't make a ton of sense to me?
Brass tacks, I'm rolling with the assumption that Hank does have those memories, they're just locked. It's the explanation that makes the most sense to me from what I understand of how everything all works.
I also very much doubt that anyone is ever going to bring this up again in the comics, because if you aren't Scott or Bobby, nothing that happened with the time displaced team really mattered in the long term.
Which is a shame, magic Hank was fun for the brief periods of time it got some focus in X-Men: Blue . . . before it got subsumed under the tidal wave of Jean-Scott-Bloodstorm-Jimmy Hudson love quadrangle bullshit.
God, that was a painful book at times.

I know that Feyre is the main character and therefore she is ✨speshul✨ but it’s so cringe when she (and Rhys) acts like she is qualified enough to go around giving the IC orders. And it’s confusing as to why none of the inner circle had any objections to a 19 year old that couldn’t read/has no political education or even Night Court history knowledge being their superior because she dated Rhys for a few months.
It’s not rude of Azriel to not listen to Feyre or take her orders seriously because … she doesn’t know better than him. He’s been doing his job for centuries and to have to take orders from a newbie is really annoying. And just because Rhys is a bad ruler doesn’t mean that Feyre should be a ruler either. Or just because Rhys inherited the throne, doesn’t mean Feyre should get it either. It would be so much more meaningful if she actually worked and studied and wanted to became High Lady and have that title not because a man gave it to her.
Like Miss Vivienne is right there, who helped make sure the Winter Court stayed afloat for 50 years and she isn’t High Lady. Feyre being the first High Lady is so shallow
I totally get what you're saying - someone who is 20, barely learned how to read, has never been formally educated, didn't even grow up in an environment where she could accidentally learn about politics and economics and social issues... it's a lot.
But that's not how leaders are chosen in Prythian anyway. I think a lot of Feyre's political and social capital comes from freeing Prythian from Amarantha. To the IC, she freed them from being stuck in Velaris and unable to see Rhys. For the rest of Prythian, the courts who collaborated with Amarantha no longer have to compromise, and those who rebelled against her no longer have to fear her. She was in power for 49 years - they were Tired.
Enter Feyre, who is an underdog in every sense of the word. She frees them all from a tyrant, and ends up fated to be mates of the most powerful High Lord in history? I can see them thinking that the pieces fell into place because of ~magic~, which they put a lot of faith and stock in. Feyre didn't just wander around until Rhys took her in acomaf.
This is why acotar is, while not people's favorite of the series, still super important to remember! Lucien was a different character, Feyre went through a ton of shit. Feyre, like Nesta and Elain, is not just who she fucks. (Don't get me started on the take I saw the other day about her only being a complete character in conjunction with Rhys.)
I do think that Feyre swings way too wildly in the opposite direction at the beginning of acowar, being too aggressively "I'm a spy now!" I cannot stand her actions in the beginning of that book, and I think they show her shortsightedness when it comes to politics and how the courts work together. They are still dealing with the repercussions of what she did then. So she's not faultless, but she's definitely more than "illiterate hunter girl who ends up fucking Tamlin and Rhys". Characterizing her that way ignores pretty much everything she went through in acotar/maf.
I think Az pushing back against Feyre is more about Az's mental state, and not about Feyre being right or wrong. If she were wrong, then she and Rhys would have had a conversation about that - he wouldn't have backed her up, ultimately. He's not going to protect his wife's ego at the expense of the safety of his people. But anyway, Az argues with Rhys a lot as well, and that's not because Rhys doesn't know what he's talking about.

About revived (by Derivakat)
(Disclaimer: Nothing against Derivakat, I think her songs are amazing in general and she's very talented, I simply have a bone to pick with these lyrics and characterization)
So um, here's my counter to some of the lyrics because fuck it, I'm tired and fueled by spite, let's go:
Let's start with the chorus:
"White streak in my hair but no stress now" - Funnily incorrect, cc!Wilbur confirmed that the white hair is from stress itself, it's not about the revival process alone. Also just by reasoning, I cannot imagine what might have been stressful about spiralling and believing that the world is out to crush you, believing that you're the scum of the Earth as well, only to die, spend 13 and half years in dark isolation and then being jolted back up to life missing huge chunks of information, really cannot fathom how that might be stressful /s
"I've seen hell, but this is a bit more my style" - True you know? It's awesome that he's said that he's over the moon about being alive again after spending 13 and a half years of pure isolation in the dark, screming until his throat was hoarse. But coming from the tone of it, I'd like to point out that Wilbur's also still passively suicidal and self harms (check out the part under "He doesn't love TNT, he self-harms with it" in this post)
"A decade of time to make everything mine" (also counts for "This is my sunrise, this is my dawn, this is what I've waited for all along. All of this time, all this is mine. MINE. MINE. MINE!")- Honestly, based on what he's been doing, no prejudices, forget everything fandom's said: he doesn't really seem to want to "make everything his", does he? This perception mostly comes from him saying "This is my sunrise, this is mine!" in the original revival stream, however, if you forget about common fandom perception, what's so evilly framed about a guy who spent 13 and a half years of isolation in the dark saying "this is my sunrise!" after watching the sun coming up again for the first time since his death, in which he was extremely emotionally unstable? Like for real?
Now onto the verses:
"Am I the bad guy? I'll be the bad guy again" and "I've come back hell-bent" - Now, he has said that: “Here’s the thing, Tommy. I, I, I, I know I was bad, and I know I can redeem myself, but like, you know, there’s a little bit of fun in being bad, you know, we’ve spoken about this.” - (Wilbur’s resurrected gentleman of L'manburg: 11:31, 5th May), BUT, since then he's also expressed genuine remorse for his worse actions during Pogtopia (check out the parts under "He really regrets what happened in Pogtopia" and "Wilbur cares. A LOT" in this post), a wanting to redeem himself and truly become better and... uh... OH! He's also admitted that he's afraid he scares people and cried when Ranboo said that he was "an alright person". For real, just watch the Healthy Competition stream and read this reddit post by cc!Wilbur
The reddit post in question, just in case:
Tumblr media
"You think I cared? It was always a means to an end" - So false. Just... so false. Ok, so quick one, let's review the actual lines said originally about him "not caring for L'manburg" in full:
“Uh, one thing, I didn’t actually really care about L'Manberg, I just cared about, you know, sticking it to the man. Actually, I cared about L'Manberg for the sole reason that I could use it to stick it to the man.” - (Wilbur’s resurrected gentleman of L'manburg: 24:18, 5th May)
“Look, I- Okay, I said it wrong. Look, I did care about- I did care about L'Manberg, but I cared about it for- You would call it the wrong reasons, but I, I- Just don’t think about it, don’t think about it too hard. Look, L'Manberg’s gone now, we’ve got that, you know- That, that wart on my side is gone, you know. I salute it, I salute it, you know, it was a great- It was a great place.” - (Wilbur’s resurrected gentleman of L'manburg: 25:18, 5th May)
“Look, Tommy, I’m gonna reiterate for you once more because I don’t think you quite understood, and that’s okay, you know, you don’t need to understand everything. I did care about L'Manberg. I did, I did. A rose by any other name would still smell as sweet, Tommy. L'Manberg would have been as loved by me had it been called Bimbum and was built in the middle of the desert.” - (Wilbur’s resurrected gentleman of L'manburg: 26:05, 5th May)
“The actual location, and the actual things it was, it were, were not important to me. It’s the thing it stood for. Which was freedom, liberty, and sticking it to the man, Tommy!” - (Wilbur’s resurrected gentleman of L'manburg: 26:26, 5th May)
“We were a family, Tommy. We were…” - (Wilbur’s resurrected gentleman of L'manburg: 27:26, 5th May)
So as you may see, he retracts himself immediately and explains his feelings with more nuance
Then, let's look at the more recent confession to Ranboo:
“I told Tommy that I didn’t actually care about L'Manberg, and that it was just like a tool for me to use to gain like, you know, power and stuff. But it’s not, it’s not true.” - (Wilbur’s A Year Later: 26:36, 3rd Aug)
“L'Manberg is- was really important to me. And it is still to this day.” - (Wilbur’s A Year Later: 26:47, 3rd Aug)
“I want it to, em, I want its history to live on not as a stain caused by me, you know. I basically just took a big shit on the history books, it feels like. I wanna, I wanna make it, I wanna make it feel like it was, you know, it was something that happened. You know, it was a great thing, you know, think of the good times. The- The years of safety. Well, not years, but you know.” - (Wilbur’s A Year Later: 26:47, 3rd Aug)
If this got more explicit I'd be literally hitting you over the head with it. Anyway, check out the parts under "Wilbur cared. A LOT" and "He really cared and cares about L'Manburg, and didn't want its ideals twisted to hur others with" in this post
"So who cares? So what? I'm not calming down" and "Shut up! And listen" - “Tommy, shut up! I mean, Tommy, come over here. Tommy, come over here, come over here, man. It’s cool, it’s cool, it’s cool. Sorry, I, I-” (Alivebur)
– (Wilbur’s A Deck of Cards with a Green Smile on them: 26:08, 31st May)
That line's totality gets often cut down, erasing the immediate apology after the loss of cool. Furthermore, I'd argue that him "not calming down" in general is mainly due to his euphoria and overexcitement during certain scenes where it makes complete sense for him to be feeling like that, and in a broader sense, he has a tendency to say things in the heat of the moment and out of impulsivity that he turns to later regret from all the way back at Pogtopia. Him not calming down now is either out of impulsivity or outright euphoria to be out of limbo, not necessarily an evil thing. And when he percieves he should calm down, he tries his best to do it, or apologizes for snapping
“I’m sorry I wasn’t, you know, entirely on the same page. But, man, I promise you, I’ve calmed down, you know, I’m all, I’m all settled in. I understand, you know, what’s changed, what hasn’t, who’s new, who’s old, you know, who’s still about, you know, who… Who, uh… uh… Who trusts me and stuff.” - (Wilbur’s A Year Later: 15:04, 3rd Aug)
“I relived that explosion in my head so many times man. And, and, and I- I get that you don’t, you don’t trust me, I do, but like, man, look at me, bro, I’m not gonna do it again. I’m not gonna- I’m not gonna hurt you again.” - (Wilbur’s A Year Later: 21:21, 3rd Aug)
(Check out the parts under "Wilbur cares. A LOT", "Paranoia and distrustfulness are integral parts of his character", "Self-loathing and self-sabotage are also integral parts of his character", "He hesitated regarding the button tons of times" and "He feels inhuman. He knows that people see him as a freak, evil or crazy and that makes him feel dehumanized" in this post)
"There's nothing wrong with me" - BUDDY. Wilbur drowns in self-hatred, what are you talking about? The man got caught off guard and cried when someone said "you're an alright person"... He's worried that he scares people, he knows how others see him on top of his own self-hatred
“TommyInnit, as you know, is just, he thinks I’m insane. I’m not insane, chat, I’m not insane.” - (Wilbur’s The Festival: 4:30, 16th Oct)
“See, I’m not so crazy, Tommy. I know what I’m doing.” - (Wilbur’s The Festival: 16:40, 16th Oct)
“I’ve told you, I’m not crazy, Tommy. I know what I’m doing, and this is genuinely the best thing we could do right now.” - (Wilbur’s The Festival: 17:18, 16th Oct)
“I’m not crazy! How am I crazy?!” - (Wilbur’s Speedy Stream Festival What festival: 43:18, 17th Oct)
“Everyone I seem to meet has this deep intrisnic feeling of disgust towards me. Jack Manifold seemed to be quite nice to me, but I reckon he, I could feel it, you know, in his stare. But like, you don’t have that. I can tell you’re a good guy.” - (Wilbur’s resurrected gentleman of L'manburg: 30:24, 5th May)
“Quackity, I’ve, I’ve, I’ve, I’ll be honest you with you, I’ve lost everything, man. I, um. I’ve lost decades of my life. I’ve lost my- most of the people who cared about me. Some people don’t even know I’m back yet, and I, and I think that’s probably for the best. So I feel like that does humble a man. That really humbles a man, you know?” – (Wilbur’s A Deck of Cards with a Green Smile on them: 1:00:52, 31st May)
“Listen, Phil, I met, I met Quackity. After you very kindly lent me your house. I went and met him. Yeah! I met up with him, and I hadn’t seen him in ages. It was, I’m gonna say it, it was nice. It was a nice time. I- I- It felt good, it felt, uh, you know, he didn’t, he didn’t seem afraid of me, which is cool.” - (Wilbur’s Healthy Competition: 7:38, 25th July)
“Not many people do. I mean, Phil, you don’t seem afraid of me, you’re not afraid of me, are you, Phil?” - (Wilbur’s Healthy Competition: 8:03, 25th July)
“Good, good. 'Cause I’m not afraid of you.” - (Wilbur’s Healthy Competition: 8:10, 25th July)
“Why? Why? … No, no, no, no, no, not the, not the bit about the, not the bit about the right foot, the why don’t you think I’m a bad person?” - (Wilbur’s Healthy Competition: 35:13, 25th July)
“Can I be real with you, man? I think I scare people.” - (Wilbur’s Healthy Competition: 36:30, 25th July)
“I mean, like I, I, I, I don’t think I, I- I think a lot of people share your idea, but they share your idea in trying to- trying to keep me from hurting them, you know? Like they’ve seen what I can do, and they don’t want me to do it again, so they adopt your emotion in order to do it.” - (Wilbur’s Healthy Competition: 36:46, 25th July)
“Dream is- He’s had his comeuppance, and I have not! My comeuppance was apparently not good enough for this people. They’re just waiting, they’re waiting for the next thing for me to slip up on, and, Ranboo, I’m not gonna fucking slip up, Ranboo. I’m different.” - (Wilbur’s Healthy Competition: 38:07, 25th July)
“I’m living in eternal limbo, again. I’ve been through limbo, I’m out of limbo, and socially, I’m still in this limbo.” - (Wilbur’s Healthy Competition: 38:36, 25th July)
(Check out the parts under "He feels inhuman. He knows that people see him as a freak, evil or crazy and that makes him feel dehumanized", "Paranoia and distrustfulness are integral parts of his character" and "Self-loathing and self-sabotage are also integral parts of his character" in this post)
"Oh yes, I blew up the nation!" (said with glee) - I make a point of the tone in this specific line, because I could make a point of the tone in the whole song, but this line is a good example. He didn't blow up L'manburg just with glee like "hell yeah! I did it!". Of course he talks about it with pride sometimes, but it's usually either said in the middle of the same impulsive moments in which he'd claim he doesn't care, said with relief of him having control over at least that situation (like him sighing right after doing it just to ask Phil to finish it off by killing him), or said with the same deflection with which he'd claim that not having a grave didn't affect him and was badass actually since he only wanted it for the hateful obituaries anyway (which was a lie, and he admitted it on the third of august stream when saying "I was so pressed about not having a grave" in case you had doubts)
Finally, I want to make emphasis on the fact that: The explosion on the 16th had two main drives behind it and they often get glossed over. The first objectivee was blowing it up and causing just enough destruction to get L'manburg back (You know, when Wilbur still had some kind of hope). After his spiral went further and his paranoia and self-loathing worsened, his two drives become apparent: First was blowing it up to rid the world of the twisted thing L'manburg became, ridding the world of what the twisted version of his ideals became with Schlatt in control of them. Secondly, he wanted to end L'manburg as a part of himself and rid the world of himself completely (by this I'm referencing his suicide), he decided he wanted to die and expected that as a result since a lot of time before the 16th. The explosion was effectively a bigger projection of his suicide, rid the world of both himself and his creation, mixed with his constant desire to protect, it also becomes "rid the world of the corrupted version of L'manburg that became Manburg", because for all intents and purposes, since the important thing about L'manburg was its founding ideals, L'manburg had been dead for a long time at that point.
“Yesterday I had the perfect opportunity to blow everything up and finally end it, you know. I had the perfect opportunity to finally blow up everything and end it and just completely save everyone, right, from the tyranny of Schlatt and the tyranny of the existence of Manberg and L’Manberg, right.” - (Wilbur’s Speedy Stream Festival What festival: 25:17, 17th Oct)
“Explain it to me! Give me a reason! Give me a reason!” - (Wilbur’s Speedy Stream Festival What festival: 26:50, 17th Oct)
“Who else is it gonna hurt?! It’s gonna hurt Schlatt, Manberg, and-” - (Wilbur’s Speedy Stream Festival What festival: 26:55, 17th Oct)
“Why did I bring- I should have just done it. I’m such a fucking showman. I should have just done it.” - (Wilbur’s Speedy Stream Festival What festival: 27:18, 17th Oct)
“No you two can escape, I’ll be the… I’ll- I’ll- I’ll be… I’ll be trapped in here…” - (Wilbur’s Speedy Stream Festival What festival: 27:27, 17th Oct)
“I just- I just want to f… I just wanna end it, I wanna end it. I wanna press that button, man.” - (Wilbur’s Speedy Stream Festival What festival: 28:08, 17th Oct)
(Check out the parts under "Wilbur cares. A LOT", "Paranoia and distrustfulness are integral parts of his character", "Self-loathing and self-sabotage are also integral parts of his character", "He hesitated regarding the button tons of times", "He really cared and cares about L'Manburg, and didn't want its ideals twisted to hur others with", and "He really regrets what happened in Pogtopia" in this post)

Hi
How do you think philoise will develop in the next few seasons?
Will Theo be a major factor in that? Will Marina die the same way as in the books? Will they change the couple?
My head is exploding from the internet comments.
You know anon at this point I'm ready for anything really. I hope they don't change the couple, so here's my theory
I think Theo was supposed to Eloise' Sienna, her first love, to show she's okay with falling inlove as long as it's in her own terms. I agree with the comments Claudia Jesse has made I want to see Eloise date in the next few seasons.
Given that she's sort of the female version of Anthony's Alpha personality. I want to see Eloise in all her commitment phobic glory stubbornly keep discovering love again and again.
Because by the time she meets Phillip, Eloise is technically supposed to be more experienced than him in most emotional areas. And I think that could be a good direction for the show to take with Eloise, who by all means is meant to surprise Phillip and take his world by storm.
If the show builds up her character arc as someone who has dated and fallen inlove before and is tired of things not working out for one reason or another. While all her siblings are finding perfect matches. It could very well end up being the reason she decides to start a family once she does find someone she clicks perfectly with. Like Phillip
Hear me out okay. I'm not crazy. Eloise is a feminist, right now she's going about it in a ... Unorthodox way. But hopefully with Kate, Penelope and Sophie's influence next seasons she will learn the realities of the world of women liberation and find some work she can do to help women equality, without needing to go behind her family's back to do it.
So if she finds a man who instead of judging her for her ideals or trying to control her every move, agrees with her approach, let's her take the lead and 100% supports her in whatever scheme she devises. Yes I do think even Eloise would be okay with getting married and starting a family.
And then we have Phillip, who's only requirement in a wife is that he needs her to be a 'happy' sort of person. (I don't think that's any different for show Phillip).
I think with Phillip's arc the show will go in one of 3 ways since Bridgerton is neither historically or book accurate at this point:
-Either Marina gets fed up with life as Lady Crane and leaves Phillip with custody in order to live the life she's always wanted. While ascertaining that leaving them with Phillip what's best for the twins.
-The show introduces the concept of divorce to regency england, which meh might as well. And Phillip and Marina get amiably divorced.
-Or the most likely option, Marina gets either a tragic illness or dies in an accident saving her children+ Phillip.
All three options would preserve the integrity of Phillip's angst and Marina's possible depression without entirely butchering her character.
So by the time Phillip and Eloise meet. He's been hurt but he's also a lot more innocent than her from a relationship point of view. Because he's been in a loveless marriage for however long the twins have been alive. He's a mature family man but also dorky and kind. And he cares very little about social climbing and the ton gossip and the scandals and whatever the Queen says. Simply because he hasn't been exposed to it in years. What with Marina's scandal and all that
I can see Eloise meeting Phillip and just finding home. The main conflict of the story in the philoise season I think would be a reverse Anthony in the sense that she has the perfect man Infront of her and she DOESN'T want to get married ever.
I can see Eloise slowly getting attached to Philip and his kids and just making up 100 reasons why things between them won't work out, like they didn't work out with Theo, or any other suitor. So she can remain safe and single and not risk her heart.
She's NOT getting married
Meanwhile Phillip also having an identity crisis thinking he's not good enough for her and she deserves better than a guy who has (insert manpain of preference here) and two kids. And basically being the annoying angsty P.I.T.A that Simon and Anthony were when they were trying to convince themselves that falling inlove with Daphne and Kate wasn't a good idea
Add in some unnecessary contrived storylines that give a reason why half the season storyline is set in London and not Romney Hall, like in the books, maybe something scandalous about Phillip's past. Or Eloise urgent need to flee from her house.
Plus Maybe something sinister plotline about the evil nanny in the house, Possibly flashbacks of Marina and Theo. Some well meaning but disastrous Bridgerton meddling and the obligatory ballroom scenes where Phillip and Eloise must dance to the string quartet version of Clean bandit's 'Rather be'
And there you have it, my theory on how I think Philoise may advance in the show.
Also dear readers if I'm robbed of the eye of the tiger, Eloise vs Twins prank wars montage (as I was robbed of the Kanthony sex montage) you will bloddy hear my wrath. I want to see Eloise go full gremlin level chaos against those kids and have the most fun ever. I need that scene ok!
To those of you who like Penelope think Eloise needs an adventurer like Colin. I'd like to venture my opinion that the kind of man Eloise needs has one characteristic only: he let's her be the boss in the relationship.
Because since unlike Anthony, she's not a man who can be fully independent, Eloise personality is such that she always needs to feel like she's in control, like she's got the reins of her life, like love is something she owns, but doesn't own her, any love interest who voices even a smidge of doubt that this may be the case would be dropped by this Alpha girl like a hot potato. No thank you, she's either the boss of the relationship or she's alone, there's no in between.
And the greatest irony of all is that at least in the books, this is exactly what Phillip is looking for and finds attractive. Sure he's got a backbone and can stand up for himself, but if his love interest is the boss he's more than happy to let her be. She's loud and opinionated, he NEEDS loud and opinionated, his former marriage was filled with uncomfortable silence.
Not that Phillip is perfect, he's still got things to work on, (starting with his communication skills). But darn does he appreciate Eloise for how she takes charge. And I like that about him.
I am really looking forward to the fanfiction mess that Netflix will play out for Eloise, she's a wonderful character. Let's hope for the best don't you think dear reader
And that's the tea

What i wish for in future seasons of Bridgerton
No one asked but i want to share what i want to see in future seasons of the Bridgerton series ( inspired by watching too many reviews of the show on youtube). Also very spoilery for the books. Under the cut because i basically made up an entire plot for Eloise in later points that is far too long :)
I am full on lusting and yearning after the kind of psychological dynamic we got in the book once Anthony and Kate married and i am kind of sad we didn't get it in the show. It seems we are missing the entire honeymoon phase. I didn't exactly love either that Kate had no interaction with the Birdgerton's or her own family once they were married for family gatherings to provide levity in the book. At that point Anthony had his separate apartment away from the main house so it was just the two of them most of the time. We were hyperfocused on the two, which kind of makes sense because it was their honeymoon. Now i want an alternative timeline ( which in my opinion is the original timeline) where this needs to happen, maybe in season 3, where we get Kate and Anthony poping up in the sibling stories ( like in the books) but also living their own lives, discovering things in their own marriage, showing them understanding and growing together while expecting their first child.
I really didn't like the love triangle, aka the darkest timeline possible. It was all made icky and kind of gross with Edwina sizing up, lusting after, falling in love and almost MARRYING her future brother in law. They didn't even show Edwina and Anthony interact in any way in the last episode and in my opinion was for the better, because how do you recover from that?! I like the actress that plays Edwina, but i hope she doesn't return for next season if it means we have to rehash anything from the past with her and Anthony. She can stay with the queen and marry the prince in that other show they have in production. I think it was stupid to not give Portia scenes with Violet (or the other mamas) because the one scene they had together in ep 8 was hilarious and they should lean into that more then adding subplots to her subplot that just lead nowhere.
I really kind of want season 3 to have more chaos in the family, partly because i want Anthony and Kate to deal with it but also because i like chaos. I want Benedikt to meet Sophie at the ball and have his epic love story and that to be the main plot ( including the necesary time jumps and the highs and lows of Sophie's life to be a focus because she goes through a lot so it is satisfying to get to the good part after the bad and actually to get to see that). I really don't care for Colin and Pen and i don't want them to be the main plot for a whole season so i hope whatever happens to them is a side plot which involves him discovering she is LW and trying to keep her secret from the ton so we can deal with that bullshit already and not have to think about it. Also i want Francesca to debut and meet and marry her first husband.
Basically, what i am trying to say is that i am a little tired of the ton and i want to spend some time in Sophie's world in season 3. To really see her journey, because she deals with real things out there in the world, she has to provide for herself. I want her’s and Benedic's love story kind of only ocasionally intersecting with the ton, mostly taking place at his estate after the rescue and maybe a bit with the Bridgerton's after she is hired as a servant. Until the final act of course where all the tension builds and she has to deal with her family and Benedict. They can give the high society story to Colin and Pen and whoever wants to follow LW in her adventures can deal with that in the B plot of the season.
In the 4th season i want the focus to be on Francesca and her being a widow and the love that blossoms with Michael. I feel like season 4 could work well as a more mature season and Francesca would be a great dramatic character because she is heartbroken but pragmatic, she is reserved but witty and i like that about her. Her being a widow and still deciding to present in front of the ton again because she is still young and wants kids and a family takes a brave woman to do and I love that this is something she decides for herself. I hope they keep this ( if they show her love story at all lol) and emphasize that this is not something she is pushed to do because that is a woman's role or whatever reason that could be an excuse to take her agency but its her desire. It could be fresh to put the emphasis on her story because we know so little of her so far and very rarely interacts with her brothers. I also want an emphasis on this plot because i want to see Michael jealous.
I have no idea what they could do with Eloise, like i genuinely think she should end up with Theo in the 4th season, just meet him again when she is older and just ravish and marry him to provide some levity to the more serios plot of what is going on with Francesca. Plus it would be a good theme to have Francesca wanting kids and subjecting herself to the marriage market again and Eloise who does not want kids and kind of embraces this life outside of the ton with Theo, a life where she does not have to be idle and i don't know, go to university, travel , get a job lol. The story of Eloise with Lord Crane is theoretically interesting because he is an older man with kids and those stories are cute except it was boring and kind of unhinged in the books , and is it really appealing when you know he is Marina's husband and the kids are also hers? Also her running off to Lord Crane's house because Pen marries Colin and she feels alone when she is not the kind of person to feel dependent on others...i don't know , that book is a mess.
I was never interested in the last 2 siblings books and i don't necessarily like their plots, but if they are thinking of a season 5 i want all the cast to come back and give us snippets of the Bridgerton's siblings life while Gregory and Hyacint have their romance and shenanigans at this family reunion. Breaking and entering for Hyacint and full on stealing a bride for Gregory while Anthony just wants to enjoy his family dinner sounds fun to me. Sorry for all this, i just have a lot of feelings.
