Voltage Chara Cafe Chibis 2024

Voltage once again claimed my heart by announcing the new merch for their upcoming character cafe. Weak as i am for chibis they just had to release animal hoodie acrylics of some of our best boys.

Kasumi tries to wriggle himself into my heart more and more by now also dressing up as a red panda! It almost feels like Kurosawa stole the penguin hoodie of him :D

Of course Tsugaru just had to have something bunny themed in the picture. Nomura has to watch out not to end up in Tsugaru's bunny merch collection at this point.

Kaga and Ishigami have their signature food and just had to have matching poses. Coincidence? xD

I wonder what the animals say about our characters. They are all so very adorable! It's difficult to decide!

It's just my own personal ramblings, but...

One of my favourite things about some of the MCs in voltage's stories is they have little things that they love so much that seem irrelevant, but just add something to the stories.

Like how in Oops I Said Yes, the MC loves cherry tomatoes. And while that seems like a random tidbit of information, it adds something to the story, like when the LI notices her love of cherry tomatoes. Remember when Ukyo notices her love of cherry tomatoes and so cooks with them just to make her happy and see her childlike expression when her favourite food is in front of her.

Or in Masquerade Kiss, the MC's love of Lady Borden ice cream and Tom Cruise. These seemingly random items that were added into the story add so much and in different ways in each of the different stories. The ice cream, for example, is her go-to when she's stressed, happy, sad, wanting to relax. It was the item that brought her closer to Kazuomi in his Season 1 when he discovered her with a tub at the resort and became a love they shared in his later seasons. Or you have her love of Tom Cruise and the LIs jealousy when rivalling her love of Tom and his Mission Impossible films. It allows to see a different depth or side to the characters.

Then you have Irresistable Mistakes MC's pet cat. Every home scene, this cat became a focal point of the stories. It's protectiveness of the MC, its seemingly disliking and rivalries with the LI... it is random, but just added something to that story. Maybe, in this case, comical, but still add something. Sure, it's humorous, but also, there's something satisfying and fulfilling watching the LI try and win over this cat while pursuing the MC.

There are so many you could mention, but these are just a few of the ones I enjoyed.

You also have the opposite side too, the LIs having their own little quirks or hobbies that make them more loveable or creates something deeper to explore in their character...

Yuzuru Shiba in MK for example, his love for tinkering with mechanics and the like... or Kuranosuke Kiba in OISY love for desserts. Random interests or likes, that add a different depth to their character.

And I don't know. It just seems so wholesome that one small, tiny tidbit of information. Something that can see so irrelevant or random when it is first mentioned can add something so much more to a story. It's enough, in some stories, to make you love a character more.

And I just love it.

Thank you so much for your words. It’s so sweet and I’m grateful whenever I receive these kinds of messages because I know you could have chosen not to send me anything and keep your feelings to yourself, but you still sent it and seeing this made me so happy 🥹❤️

I’m happy that there are still fans of the game and that my posts manage to make you guys appreciate the content. It’s true that the community used to be lively before. But I have noticed that a lot of L365 fans are still there, they’re mostly quiet and seem to prefer to consume content from others, more than make their own content when it comes to Tumblr. Sadly people can’t be forced to create or interact more for the sake of the fandom, but I still see discord servers with people who still talk about the titles.

From my own experience, discord servers dedicated to L365 were the best place to gather the fans and interact with each other (or not, if you’re shy or uninterested in social activities). To be honest, I had the most fun in the fandom when I had finally become brave enough to join someone’s server a few years ago, and I’m really glad I joined back then because I became friends with the right people ❤️

When it comes to keeping a fandom alive, whether they’re screenshots, art, fanfictions, posts to share your thoughts, headcanons, or anything that is authorized by the creators (Voltage) to share, these posts help create interactions within the fandom and make everything lively and fun. That’s why I’m happy whenever I see people who share their stuff for their own fun. Personally I started posting and still post to get rid of some of the 50k screenshots I take from stories 🤣 and then I got fueled by the beautiful writing of the titles I love and started posting my art as well.

I’m happy if people like what I post. To be honest, I think the reason I’m still here even after the fandom is more quiet is because… I’d post even if no one liked my content. I don’t have any expectations toward people, but I’m so grateful whenever I do get to interact with them. It’s very fueling and flattering to have people reach out to you. That’s why I want to thank you, and any other person who leaves a comment, drops a like or sends an ask/message. Your actions are the key to making content creators want to stay ❤️

Voltages 3 New Titles for 2024

The japanese Version of Love 365 announced 3 new titles for this year. The first one will already release at the end of April.

My childhood friend - My second first love (Late April)

The title boy is called Kuroe Kento (黒江健斗). MC seems to be engaged at the start of the story however her fiance betrays her and it seems like she is seeking comfort in Kuroes arms. Her childhood friend has grown into a fine man.

The premise feels similar to My Last First Kiss, Love Brings You Home or maybe even Kings of Paradise.

Head over Heels Marriage - I'm too obsessed with my wife to let her go (June)

The title man's name is Mikoshiba Kazuma (御子柴和真). MC starts of happily married with her man, living their best life in his suite. However, things feels too perfect, is really truly everything okay?

I gotta say this title seems to be the most mysterious. The guy could be shady, or maybe does not have as much money as he deems or he is just overly smitten by his wife and does not give her much room to breath and pampers her rotten

From the premise it looks a bit like Oops I Said Yes or maybe even the untranslated Honey Moon title.

I could also imagine it to be a more wholesome or realistic Kissed by the Baddest Bidder without the auctions? Anyways the guy reminds me a bit of a mix of Kunihiro and Kazuomi (at least on the cover)

Kiss Me Until Daybreak (August)

The last of the three protagonists is called Iriyama Tsubaki (入山椿). MC is hopelessly in love with the man but he is not interested in a relationship. Luckily friends with benefits is rather popular these days so she might just be able to convince him in that way.

This title seems to be a bit more angsty and emotional compared to the others. It gives me Irresistible Mistakes and Hiroki from My Last First Kiss vibes. Und

Anyways this is whats to come in the near future.

My opinions under the cut

In my opinion the titles give a more mature vibe and feel a bit like soft versions of the adult site Otona / Koi100 More. (The More stories that we are currently getting are from the for example, though they have their exclusive titles too).

I have to admit none of the titles really caught my eyes right away and they feel more like Oneshots similar to Perfect Boyfriend or A World With(Out) You. They somehow lack the... glow? of other Voltage titles, but I'd gladly get proven wrong 😄 Currently i cannot see them having multiple seasons or even multiple characters? Plotwise i'm most curious about the Marriage title, artwose Kiss Until Daybreak even though I'm not that much of a fan of friends with benefits. The sprite of childhood friend looks good to me!

I feel like Voltage might be stalling for time until they can continue with Kings of Paradise or Tokyo Love Hustle.

I felt like instead of just relationship / romance focus I would have loved another supernatural or action series (which is why i really hope they'll continue TLH) because they feel similar to other titles. Voltage has proven that they are great with the supernatural themes with Court of Darkness or Even if Tempest, so i'm definitely excited about their new Switch titles. I just wish they gave a gem to Love 365 too haha.

Anyways let's wait and see.

It's unbelievable that almost three years have passed, and Yukihisa Maki's third season is still not available. Yukihisa is incredibly popular, on both ends. I hope they don't give him a total of four seasons. Voltage seems to be overlooking the reviews for the English app, and Minoru's recent season has received mixed reactions. If the first part of Minoru's season was poorly received, it's likely that the other character, Aki, will face a similar response. He seems like a blend of Jun, Go, and Kei's first season. Maybe Toshiaki, too; since he is too tall.

Hey!

Sooo this is my first post! I only started using Tumblr recently and that was to simply read posts by other otome fans!

I really enjoyed reading other's fanfics that it made me start to want to write my own, originally because I was too shy to reach out to any of the bloggers and put in any requests in case I was the only one who found my ideas interesting!

A bit about me, I first played the old school shall we date otome games when I was younger. In the last couple of years I started playing the voltage games on the Love 365 app, the Ikeman series and Tears of Themis.

My personal Voltage favourites are Masquerade Kiss (Kazuomi), KBTBB (Eisuke), Irresistible Mistakes (Toma), Oops I said Yes (Kunihiro), Romance MD (Takado), and Her love in the force (Kaga).

If somehow someone actually see's this blog and wants to talk about any stories or opinions I'd love too!

I'm part way through my own fic at the moment, which I have quite enjoyed writing! However, it definitely isn't as well written as those I've enjoyed reading so far! Who knows, maybe I'll be brave and actually post some of my own fics in the future!
