#having a vaguely discomfiting week#uhhh i don't know. too much and not enough to do. mostly not enough#i've been applying to some deeply hilarious silicon valley jobs#one i was editing my cover letter for and thought man. i could do this with the irc for way less money with way more stress#(international rescue committee i mean)#and then i went for it anyway. i would be good at it! i've just seen the exact same job description for charities working with refugees#the bay area is so interesting. i'm always like i love it! it's home! but how much of that is only having left it for college#but then i think about starting a new life somewhere else alone and i'm like god that sounds exhausting#lost control of my schedule again btw. forgot i had about 800 things on the calendar#i actually forgot i had therapy for four weeks straight in the last two months it's been such a mess#which i think is what happens when i have no external schedule#again i do not dream of capitalism. but i do dream of someone else giving me tasks with a set number of hours attached#if an anarachist commune told me my job was to snap the ends of string beans off for four hours i'd be like hell yeah. 4 hour task#why snapping the ends off of string beans SUCH a social activity btw#that was like THE kitchen task my mother would trust me and my sister to do on major holidays and so i have such weird fond memories of#sitting at the table snapping the ends off of string beans and talking with my sister while our family buzzed around us#i mean a lot of my core child and teenage memories are my sister and i hanging out while our parents marriage fell apart around lmfao#where was i going with this. oh right. need a job mostly bc i am going stir crazy but also bc i started private ice skating lesson which are#expensive. definitely going to help!! but expensive#but idk i am haunted and beset by living with my parents in my 30s so more reasons (practice) to get out of rhe houae#*out of the house while mostly unemployed...the better#the story of this post can be boiled down to a couple of things i think: 1. no hoes. 2. no job. 3. if i keep making these posts i have to#take more pictures of things#(<- very live in the moment kind of guy who forgets things later bc they didn't take pictures)#fresno oilers.txt

the fatigue feels like its deeply sunk into my skull but we move
#i need to go to the grocery store but i deadass cant remember what i wanted to get and it closes in 3 hours bc bank holiday UGHGHGH#i feel like i have a lot to do and its overwhelming but its all like. internal stuff thats how im categorising it#like its not internal but its like oh i have to reply to so many messages and send out emails and stare at microsoft word#like things where i just have to Sit and Stare At Screen#im finding its easier for me to do things if it actually involves me getting up and moving in some way#so i have to break up all the internal not doing that things into like. small chunks and then i do something in between#even if its just standing up for a bit#BRO! i should get a standing desk?!?!?

Life has been hectic recently... and it feels like I have completely lost the last two weeks of my life.
I keep typing and retyping all the things that happened, but ultimately it doesn't really matter. It was full on and stressful, so I wasn't able to do any of my dissertation work. But consequently, I've also ended up being sick because of how little rest I was able to have.
I'm just about back to normal after a week of being ill and I'm just so frustrated. There is so much work that I want/need to do and I haven't been able to do any of it and I'm just angry. It just feels like things always go wrong, and I needed this week to be ok and for things to go well, but instead I had to spend most of it in bed.
I just wish I could replay this last week but being well
#rant#just me complaining because i am struggling#the added level of complexity is that i am going on holiday in 3 days and that was meant to be a proper break but nope#i guess my dissertation is going to become international and come to germany with me#everything is going wrong today i chopped off 3 inches of my hair by accident and i am feeling very discombobulated#definitely still a bit ill#but i have things to do#the question is whether cutting and bleaching and dyeing my hair was the correct use of my time#adhd dissertation

My uncle was sharing the fucking Facebook posts of "it's not happy holidays it's MERRY CHRISTMAS SHARE IF U AGREE" and the temptation to just rock up to family jesusmas and only say happy holidays this year is so so strong
#let it be known that i come by my pettiness honestly#there is a non zero chance that my mom is gonna ensure that one member of our family is missing from Christmas and all holidays#bc of drama that happened at Thanksgiving last month 😂#and there have also been other moments of pettiness also related to this side of family christmas#of my oma (step dads mom) asking my mom to tone it down with the gifts to the other grandkids bc she feels shown up#of which i believe my moms internal response and then what we talked about was essentially fuck u imma do it even more now#like my cousins dont care if oma gives them 20 and auntie gives them like 30 or 40 they just go sweet money#but oh man thanksgiving was just drama basically about getting a family picture together with everone bc#'this could be the last time were all together' which resulted in im assuming most of us going ok whos dying in like 3 months??#bc its not like anyone is on their deathbed currently and we all live close to eachother relatively farthest away is just under 2 hrs#and the grandparents are only in young 70s not like theyre 99 and holding on for dear life#like yeah sure accidents happen and people die thats just life but we tend not to bring that up when leaving a family gathering#and then a majority of us grandkids are old enough to look at eachother like 👀😶#im an adult and we got ages 12-16 sequentially for 6 out of 10 and then a like 10 8 5 and 3 make up the rest#anyways ill probably make sure to enunciate at least one happy holidays this year lol#me#my textposts#jesusmas#i think i actually have a tag for that
