The mad scientists, the unstable ones, the ones with a few screws loose — they are all welcome! You can submit your insane characters (the ones that look at once and wince) here! Group F, Round 3, Poll 4:
Propaganda under the cut
Tsurumi Tokushirou
in two words: "it's love". I was already insane about this guy but this line. just wow. the context is a flashback in which Tsurumi has been away fighting in the Sino-Japanese war and is now telling his dojo master that even trained soldiers are typically reluctant to kill another person and many will only pretend to fire their weapons. he spent a long time considering how you convince them to overcome that before figuring it out. "the motivating force that can bring out the aggressiveness in your soldiers... it isn't hatred of the enemy troops, nor is it fear... it isn't even a difference in political ideals. [what is it then?] it's love". this man is *surrounded* by soldiers who will do anything for him and you slowly see through multiple flashbacks just how much he has been pulling strings for *years* to make them love him. this particular flashback involves two fourteen year olds fighting over his attention until one of them kills the other and tsurumi helps cover up the murder and tells the murderer how *of course you have always been my favourite*. that kid goes on to work under him and when tsurumi draws on his face as a punishment he gets the drawings tattooed on so they stay forever. in another case he orchestrates the kidnapping of a different 14yo son of a navy commander by "Russians" (his loyal subordinates) and then pulls off a dashing rescue, earning the livelong military support of the dad and a major crush from the son. this kid chooses to go to army route rather than follow his dad into the navy, specifically because of tsurumi who he also ends up working for. he can't speak comprehensibly to tsurumi and edits himself into photos of him. case 3: while a soldier is away at war he crush appears to commit suicide by drowning in the sea. upon finding out that his dad told her he wasn't coming back, he beats him to death and ends up on death row. I forget exactly what info is revealed when but a) the woman is alive and tsurumi helped her move to Tokyo and get married, b) tsurumi planted fake bones under tsukishima's father's house to frame him for her murder, c) this then allowed tsukishima to be freed from jail, as long as he agreed to work for tsurumi as a Russian translator (he doesn't speak Russian at the time), d) tsukishima doesn't know all of this initially but tsurumi sets things up so he overhears a convo that reveals some of it so that he can know exactly what lengths tsurumi went to and feel even more in his debt, e) tsukishima later realises that conversation was set up and its purpose but *even with that knowledge* and being probably the character most aware of Tsurumi's manipulations, the pull is too strong and he will follow him to the ends of the earth. literally his only goal in life now is to have front row seats to the Tsurumi Theatre, which btw involves chasing convicts around to obtain their skins, wiping out entire prison populations and invading parts of Russia. he sometimes blames his erratic actions on the brain damage caused by a mortar shell to the forehead but he was doing all the same things before that, just more quietly. he knows *exactly* what he's doing and has everything planned out in detail

He spends the entire film lying to and manipulating as many people as possible to achieve his ultimate goal (Katya is an obvious example; her having enough of that is a driving force behind their breaking relationship), and also including himself (insisting that he doesn't like Andrey when they're basically about to kiss anytime they're on screen). hi! i'm taking up the mantle of cheerleader for beatrix because i was genuinely surprised that of all the characters on this webbed site, she didn't have one?? anyway, how could you not love beatrix! she's a pre-war ghoul (automatic +10 points), a follower of the apocalypse (though technically a gun-for-hire, but still; she believes in the cause), she has the voice ever (and for all you nerds, her voice actress is rouge the bat as of 2010), and she's a dominatrix! need i say more? (^_<)〜☆
if this list doesn't convince you, check out some of her top class, tried-and-true advice to the courier: take a chance on a woman who'll show ya a good time and make sure you're sound after the fact (even though she doesn't technically give you advice once she switches careers, but shhh)! a vote for beatrix is a vote for freaky women (affectionate)!

I LOVE Siri so much. I know the developers were under an insane time crunch, but I would've loved to see more substance for her! Still, I think what they did give her is very telling. It's not much, but it evokes a lot of emotion in me. Her lines show that she too had and has her own life, an entire history that we as a player may never know. But there are hints, small details in her choice of words and the tone of voice that show there is so much to her. So much potential, and I would love to see her have more presence in fan works. I love the idea that someday she might actually be able to escape from the Legion. She grants the player such kindness even in a situation where she herself is shown none. She had an entire life that was suddenly ripped away from her, and few Legion slaves get their story told. I want so desperately for other people to care about this side character who I LOVE, dearly, and I think it would be fantastic to get other people in the fandom to start thinking about her too, and making fan works with her in it if they feel so inclined. Together we can make a side character the specialest woman in the Mojave. SIRI SWEEP PLEASE!!!

Character 298: She's a snarky, morally questionable AI lady who hates her job and has little to no regard for human life in general. She often threatens to kill her employees, she killed her programmers, she adores the movie Cats(2019) to an upsetting degree, she likes to make up nicknames for people, she just wants a holiday and frequently takes simulated spa breaks. She's even bisexual!
Character 299: he’s first introduced as the man with a scar. he’s canonically gay but the worst at relationships. he accidentally slept with the prime suspect for the case he’s supposed to be working on. he’s a cop but it’s the cold case unit so it’s probably fine. he’s looking into his dad’s suicide because he thinks he was murdered. his brother used to take child him to drug dens because he wanted to get high and didn’t particularly care about his kid brother. he keeps adopting kids and they keep betraying him. he’s been helping one of the constables to rise through the police force and she calls him sarge and helps bring him back to the world of not being stupid. his godmother is high up in the police force and he aggressively refuses to be part of nepotism and then later on she gets kidnapped. his life is terrible and he gets attached to crime scenes. he received the scar on his face from another member of the police force. he’s insane. i love him
he keeps getting info from the guy in charge of the mob. his friends keep turning out to be serial killers. he & one other police guy keep attacking police corruption but nobody likes them so it’s pretty slow. he has the worst taste in men. he straight up asked one guy “did you kill my dad?” and he once managed to break through a wall in a house on fire by scraping the slightly wet cement out from between the bricks and then running at the wall really hard. he’s literally a lunatic. i love this guy so much
Character 300: A short boy who starts out as a typical nerd stereotype but one rock concert later he starts to unleash his sass, he can be kind of a jerk sometimes actually but most of the time he is a cinnamon roll. Literally sang a rock song about following the rules, yeah. Despite the rock concert he still is and probably always will be obsessed with grades (boy almost got a panic attack because he got an A instead of A+) Has a comfort show that he references to often and trusts more then his own logic when in stressful situation. He is super smart but can't read social cues sometimes. Is often carried like a luggage and ends up okay with that. He litterally cloned himself because he couldn't make any decisions and when he had enough of his clones he went 'oh. wait. I can get revange on my friend-bully now" and he almost did, got pied in the face in the aftermatch though. He's a sweetie pie, the boy ever, one of the best characters in the whole show. You can't hate him, it's impossible.

Jervis Tetch (The Mad Hatter)
From: Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth
Context: Like most Batman Villains, he was introduced as a criminal with a gimmick (Alice in Wonderland and hats with mind-control devices, in his case). After Arkham Hospital/Asylum for the Criminally Insane was created in the comics, his character became one of the patients, sometimes specifying he has schizophrenia.
"Ah, yes. The apparent disorder of the universe is simply a higher order, an implicate order beyond our comprehension. That's why children... interest me. They're all mad you see, but in each of them is an implicate adult. Order out of chaos. Or is it the other way around? To know them is to know myself. Little girls especially. Little blonde girls. Little shameless bitches!"
I've read most of his comic appearances and as far as I know, he had at no point previous to the release of this graphic novel in 1989 ever even interacted with children on a comic (other than Robin, ofc). Grant Morrison just happened to characterize most Arkham patients as either perverts (Joker is gaaaay, he slapped Batman's ass! How creepyyyy is that?) or an allegory for something sexual (Clayface is meant to represent Aids, according to the script included in the anniversary edition) to contrast with Batman being sexually repressed.
Jervis got randomly made into a pedophile just for being the one rogue with a "childish" theme. Nevermind that he also hadn't ever looked for an 'Alice' (regardless of age) previously.
**If this had been made part of his character in further appearances I'd grit my teeth and accept it, but it wasn't. It occasionally pops up if the writers want to make him creepy (see: Haunted Knight, Robin: Year One), but otherwise he has zilch to do with children**

So a little part two for my other character for Baldur’s Gate 3. Also I never knew the poll before would be so popular to have like 500 votes. That’s insane and you guys are amazing! Anyway, my other character is pretty much a human Cleric who’s weapon might be magic…. I haven’t thought about the second character too much but that seems to be what it’ll be. I’ll brainstorm more info when I get the chance.

ALSO bc im incredibly curious and also completely insane im gonna do fucking. math. and figure out how many votes characters got for each specific category. and put that in a spreadsheet. bc technically a character who got, for example, 90% HATE on a poll with 100 total votes actually got less votes for HATE than a character who got 50% HATE on a poll with 10,000 total votes. im doing this to satisfy my own curiosity but if u want i will share a link. UNLESS YOURE ALREADY DOING THIS IN WHICH CASE NVM

Y/N's head snapped up when she heard the muffled beeping of her alarm, the deafening noise is drowned out by the blasting music on her Bluetooth earbuds. She sighs, taking the earbuds out of her ears, Dustin Kensrue's voice and the beat of the drums still audible from the headphones, dropping them onto her nightstand. As her ears adjusted to the noise that engulfed her surroundings, she roughly smacked the off button on the alarm clock, silencing the ear-splitting repetition.
"What was I dreaming about again?" She mutters, sitting up and slowly dragging herself out of bed, picking up the blue constellation-print blankets off of the floor, and setting them on the bed, before looking down at her pajamas. She huffs, untucking her t-shirt from the band of their bra, and rightening the band of her shorts.
Before her mother went insane, she had said her dreams were a 'gateway into her divination', so Y/N was constantly trying to recall whatever fantasy she had concocted, but she always came up fruitless. Her dreams escaped her as soon as she opened her eyes, so she wore the headphones, trying to drown out whatever possible premonition that would make its way to her.
Y/N yawns, stretching with a soft yawn, and looking towards her backpack, that was propped up against her vanity. "Right... First day of school, better get ready" She sighs to herself, and went about getting dressed, pulling on the standard Nevermore uniform, and put on her array of crystal and protective jewelry. She made sure to keep the necklaces tucked into her shirt, but paused when she looked down to her jewelry holder, eyes trained on the carnelian necklace that sat on the plate.
(Note: Carnelian is used to boost confidence, self esteem, energy, creativity, sexual energy, amongst other things)
"Wouldn't hurt" She shrugs, picking up the necklace and fastening the clasp around her neck, tucking the crystal into her shirt. Once she deemed herself ready, she grabbed her backpack and made her way out of the bedroom, and into the dusty hall, walking down the staircase. Blue and purple light streamed in through the tinted windows as she walked into the kitchen, stepping around the empty wheelchair to grab the loaf of bread, tossing a few slices into the toaster.
She was caught up in her head, relaying over usual first day of school thoughts, absent mindedly picking up the jam and butter from the fridge, setting it on the counter. Once the toast popped up from the toaster, she quickly made her pieces of toast, and looked over to the nearby clock, noting the time... It being 5 minutes after her usual leaving point.
"Shit!-" She shouts, cramming both pieces of toast into her mouth as fast as she could manage without choking, before bolting out the door. Heavy platforms flunked against the concrete as Y/N booked it out of the large, empty house, and towards the academy's bus queue.
This was her first day at Nevermore, she'd been to similar schools, there being one or two for the 'magically gifted' or strange, but as her mother changed hospitals, Y/N had to change schools. Overall, she was okay with that, she never made a lot of friends, and she had never made plans to be 'lifelong besties' with the ones she made.
Luckily, the bus was empty when it pulled up to the stop, her house being the only one on the street. She climbed into the bus, giving a half hearted wave to the old Gorgon bus driver, before going to sit down in the nearest possible seat.
She then pulled out her phone, opening up her messages, and then her mother's contact, staring at the thousands of unanswered messages. Y/N wrote to her mother daily, good mornings, good nights, life updates, when she'd visit next, but they always went unanswered. Her mom could barely even gather her thoughts enough to lift the phone, Y/N just assumed she let her phone die at some point and never plugged it back in, or maybe the orderlies took it.
"You alright back there honeybun? Looking a little forlorn" The old man calls, causing Y/N to look up from her screen, and over to the bus driver. "Oh, yeah I'm fine... Just uh.. Nervous about today" She lied, in reality, she was perfectly fine with starting at the new school, she had done a card reading or two, and established that everything would (hopefully) go fine. "Ah, well. I don't know if things have changed since I last attended Nevermore, since that was a few decades ago, but I'm sure things will be fine" He nods with a smile, which made Y/N give a soft smile in return, at least he was sweet.

When the bus pulled up to the academy, Y/N hopped off the bus, waving to the bus driver. "Bye Mister Chesnok!" She calls, waving to the old man on the bus, who gave a feeble wave. She then turned towards the school, looking over the crowds of students, already gathering in their cliques as staff loaded up their luggage onto the trolleys.
She gave a soft sigh, putting in her headphones to drown out the surrounding voices, pressing play on the side of the earbuds as she walked to the steps of the school.
"I'll rip and smash through the hornet's nest"
Y/N made it about halfway up the stone steps, before she felt someone tap on her shoulder. She gave a soft sigh, and turned down the music, before looking up and turning. There stood six students, of various species, each of them looking at her with hopeful and expecting expressions.
"...Can I help you?" Y/N sighs, her voice clear, speaking with a sort of assertiveness that she portrayed when dealing with peers. "Hi! Uh.. You're the new oracle kid right?" A small gorgon girl squeaked, clutching her backpack. "I'm not reading y'alls fortunes, if that's what you're trying to ask" Y/N rolled her eyes, turning away from them, before a vampire boy cleared his throat. "Well pay you" He chimes, peaking Y/N's interest.
"Do you understand I deserve the best?"
She gave another soft sigh, and turned back to the group. "One reading per person, I charge extra for relationship readings. Schedule with me beforehand, so I can write in breaks." She quips, she usually knew better than this... But the offer of payment was always something that broke her. She was an opportunist after all.
The turned her music back up, and turned back towards the door, walking into the school, leaving the group wonderstruck.

PLEASE CHECK AFTER THIS POST FOR THE POLL WE PUT UP TO SEE WHO’D BE INTERESTED IN WHAT :) We did one and a couple were interested in cheap adopts but that was months ago. Check out the sample arts attached, too which will be posted after this! All of these higher prices might change, too. I also don’t wanna hear any bullshit off “profiting off this situation”. And I didn’t even do anything. But you mfs have proved you’re absolutely insane and will make up anything. I had plans a long fucking time ago, I’m not “profiting” off of anything, you bitches interrupted me and my headmates. Check my tumblr from the beginning.

We just need to finish an art trade and a birthday card and we’ll hop to it.. I am so sorry to Ramona who got her beautiful adopts overshadowed by this bullshit.

The cheap adopts info-
(Will range from 3 USD to 25-30, it depends. We’re basically going to make a whole price range, less complex adopts on base or not in chibi forms for 3-5 USD at least and the highest I’d ever think we’d go is 30-40 for special events. You have an option to pay for those for much less OR wait for a sale where you could get more content for that price, it’s all gonna depend how we feel. 30-40 would be for complicated hand drawn refs and an added headshot etc. Or, one for 20-25 on base with added on art.
It’s all gonna depend on how well our sales are received. So don’t take any of those higher prices as solidified. All we know for sure right now is that there’ll typically be a lot of 3-5 USD ones along with 10-12 USD. They usually will be that cheap. Our goal is to provide lower prices and discounts out of our own kindness, and because we are in a place where we are financially comfortable and well taken care of, and we just want to give back for that privilege out of our own want, while still making a couple dollars on the side for our system so they can buy things for themselves. And also to get Fawn things as gifts for her hard work in school, and fuel her special interests of course. She has had jobs in physical establishments but they have taken such a toll on her physical health (asthma attacks and more) AND mental health, and she deserves to rest and be able to do art at home or have her alters do it. We’ll actually be living some time in Colombia each year where she’ll be hella pampered like she deserves. So yes, we just want to do a nice thing and also making these specific adopts accessible (you’ll see some of the ideas in a minute :) ) because of how much fandoms or any kinds of special interests/hyperfixations can mean to people, and we wanna give a discount on that.
-Most of our adopt ideas is making feral/furry adopts of who we’re based on and other characters from DFTM OR references (such as mark’s adopts hes planning based off of the movies hes canonically reviewed,) (if anyone is interested,) and again if anyone is interested there will be other fandoms, for those who are also fictives, fictkin of them, or have them as comfort characters.
But that won’t be all we make. We’ll make a variety of things.

Elaborations: Character based of of “fursonas/feralsonas” being higher priced and with more art, along with characters who are separate of them. but still themed around them at around 25-30 USD maybe? Depends. It would involve chibis, back and front view etc the whole thing.
General common hyperfixation/special interest adopts for very cheap, like for example bug themed adopts, dinosaur themed adopts, etc etc. (You are actually free to request them down below of what you’d like to be done, and it can be reserved for you! This would be cheaper than what we price regular customs at IF you choose artistic liberty or a premade.)

MLP oc adopts- 5-10 USD (Off base)
Farm animal themed adopts - 4-15 USD, maybe 20

Group F, Round 2, Poll 7:
Propaganda under the cut
Tsurumi Tokushirou
in two words: "it's love". I was already insane about this guy but this line. just wow. the context is a flashback in which Tsurumi has been away fighting in the Sino-Japanese war and is now telling his dojo master that even trained soldiers are typically reluctant to kill another person and many will only pretend to fire their weapons. he spent a long time considering how you convince them to overcome that before figuring it out. "the motivating force that can bring out the aggressiveness in your soldiers... it isn't hatred of the enemy troops, nor is it fear... it isn't even a difference in political ideals. [what is it then?] it's love". this man is *surrounded* by soldiers who will do anything for him and you slowly see through multiple flashbacks just how much he has been pulling strings for *years* to make them love him.
this particular flashback involves two fourteen year olds fighting over his attention until one of them kills the other and tsurumi helps cover up the murder and tells the murderer how *of course you have always been my favourite*. that kid goes on to work under him and when tsurumi draws on his face as a punishment he gets the drawings tattooed on so they stay forever.
in another case he orchestrates the kidnapping of a different 14yo son of a navy commander by "Russians" (his loyal subordinates) and then pulls off a dashing rescue, earning the livelong military support of the dad and a major crush from the son. this kid chooses to go to army route rather than follow his dad into the navy, specifically because of tsurumi who he also ends up working for. he can't speak comprehensibly to tsurumi and edits himself into photos of him.
case 3: while a soldier is away at war he crush appears to commit suicide by drowning in the sea. upon finding out that his dad told her he wasn't coming back, he beats him to death and ends up on death row. I forget exactly what info is revealed when but a) the woman is alive and tsurumi helped her move to Tokyo and get married, b) tsurumi planted fake bones under tsukishima's father's house to frame him for her murder, c) this then allowed tsukishima to be freed from jail, as long as he agreed to work for tsurumi as a Russian translator (he doesn't speak Russian at the time), d) tsukishima doesn't know all of this initially but tsurumi sets things up so he overhears a convo that reveals some of it so that he can know exactly what lengths tsurumi went to and feel even more in his debt, e) tsukishima later realises that conversation was set up and its purpose but *even with that knowledge* and being probably the character most aware of Tsurumi's manipulations, the pull is too strong and he will follow him to the ends of the earth. literally his only goal in life now is to have front row seats to the Tsurumi Theatre, which btw involves chasing convicts around to obtain their skins, wiping out entire prison populations and invading parts of Russia.
he sometimes blames his erratic actions on the brain damage caused by a mortar shell to the forehead but he was doing all the same things before that, just more quietly. he knows *exactly* what he's doing and has everything planned out in detail

How to Play
submit an ask (anonymously or not) detailing an event in which your oc may or may have not been the asshole (from their point of view, as though they were sending the ask). I'll post it with a poll containing the following abbreviations, and Tumblr will be the judge! The blog will be run on a queue, with the ask box being checked once at the end of the day and any asks posted the next day.

black sails jack rackham (noted real historical person) literally uses slave labour IN THE SHOW, tricking his formerly enslaved friend into capturing a slave ship and using them to rebuild a fort, but it's ok because he didn't wanna do it really :/ (i'm not even gonna accept the argument that black sails is more serious so it's fine, jack's presented as a likeable and comedic character and tumblr loves blorbofying him). y'know what ofmd stede bonnet doesn't do? anything remotely close to that.
God everything I learn about Black sails is fucking insane I think the best way to consume this show is by piecing it together through gif sets and deranged asks and poll drama, and mutuals info dumping at me. I could watch several hours of tv but this is much funnier. White man uses slave labor but he's also bisexual and has funky side burns and a badass wife so you know what Tumblr cares about.
Anyway thank you for Black sails lore I obviously don't think that you should not ever watch Black sails or like black sails that's not how I engage with media but incredible stuff. Major w for pirate bracket saying OFMD is worse than this somehow

Wasn't long before someone moved into the guy's place and found half-buried human remains in the crawlspace. I didn't bother saying told ya so."
