“…you’ll wake back up and realize it’s not him that you’re in love with anymore; rather, you’re enamored with the tenderness of the memories you both share. Your coffee order, a lyric he always changed. These things all feel like love, but they aren’t him. Your coffee will taste just as good if you order it alone.”
I made an Hall of the mountain king edit in honor of this batshit insane post (for which i may or may not be partially responsible, too) by @one-time-i-dreamt, enjoy :)
I just made a lengthy post about how to get into AO3, basically a beginner's guide to how to find fanfic, since I saw some people on the fantasyromance subreddit struggle with it (AO3 is fantastic, but it can be a bit daunting if you're not sure what you're looking for and how)
How to find and read Fanfiction: Beginner Tips for navigating Archive of Our Own (AO3)
Sometimes you just need a Dean. I've been absorbed in this one for... um... about an hour and a half? I drew him with my trusty willow charcoal stick, which I'd getting very small. I used a tiny bit of white chalk around his eyes and the darker, compressed charcoal for his hair and around his cheek and jaw etc. I didn’t use the charcoal pencil at all. It felt too fiddly. I like the willow and then smudging with my finger, mostly - the 'scrub and smudge' technique. It suits me.
Here's the full drawing:
Maybe I should've let the far side of his jaw fade into the background?
No, dammit, that's not right...
Okay, well, that'll have to do. I have to go and finish off cooking the roast (pork) and make rhubarb cobbler now.
And try not to think about tomorrow. Going up to the Marsden for more microwave ablation. Bye bye cancer. See you again soon. I'm not being pessimistic - that's just the way it is.
