just watched infinity chamber and i'm..... so fucking emotional oh my god????? this was such a beautiful movie and,,, howard and frank's relationship is. lskcmds oh my god i just wanted to CRY the ending just..... it fucked me up so much

All good! Howard is an ai thats not meant to read as an ai. He talks like just some guy who might strike up casual conversation at a call center, friendly, a sort of ‘business casual’ type attitude. He’s just some guy. Who happens to be a really really advanced ai.

The whole movie is about Howard being the life support operator (and sort of unintentional/unwilling warden) for Frank, the human in his care who’s supposes to be in and out of this facility. But something is messed up, and Howard can’t reach any humans in the facility, and he doesn’t know why Frank is here. They’re just trapped together. Both stuck here, waiting for something to happen. And they’re boy best friends

Today’s film: Infinity Chamber 2016.

Very engaging film, the actor and the AI are very charismatic and play well off each other, the story is compelling if a little slow to drop clues about who this guy is and how he ended up here. I think we got the ending we saw: the camera in the shop is deactivated, Howard helped Frank, Frank’s memories of his father is why he shut down Howard. Why? because there have been enough fake escapes and fake outs throughout the film.

There are 2 options offered by the filmmaker - that feels like a cop out to me - I know some people like that, having to think over the clues makes a film feel deep - I just like if you can end your story conclusively, even if it’s a downer. Personal taste I guess.

It’s a brilliant use of a tiny budget: limited sets, practical effects and props, interesting story, I just wish it had wrapped up cleaner. 7/10.

I think I would have liked this one better if I'd read the series that it's connected to. This one stands alone, but there are definitely moments where I was like, this might hit harder if I'd read the other series. Which I would like to, but it's only available as an ebook, and I just don't read ebooks. Hopefully they'll get a physical release at some point.

Lore & Lust by Karla Nikole - 3.75/5 stars

I almost didn't call How to Bite Your Neighbor... cozy fantasy because this book is way more cozy fantasy. Cozy vampire fiction.

Withered + Sere by TJ Klune - 4.75/5 stars

You guys remember how I was like frothing at the mouth over Klune's Verania series and how much I loathed it? Oh man did I pick up this book (which I bought prior to reading any of the Verania books) with trepidation. Guess what though! It's really good! I'm not actually sure why I knocked a quarter of a star off? Possibly just because there were some turns of phrase that gave me PTSD flashbacks to Verania. Anyway this is a brutal, violent, post-apocalyptic novel with a bunch of Problematic protagonists and it's great.

Over and Over Again by Cole McCade - 3/5 stars

I would have rated this higher if it had been like 200 pages shorter. It just went on too long.

Band Sinister by KJ Charles - 4/5 stars

And I would have rated this one higher without the polyamory/open relationship stuff. It is not my bag, sorry.

A Fractured Infinity by Nathan Tavares - 4.5/5 stars

Hey. Hey MCU fans. Do you want a book that actually does, like, interesting things with the multiverse? Do you want to see a character meet versions of himself, but like, it's much better than anything the MCU has done? How about a guy who makes portals into different universes trying to save the person he loves, because the multiverse needs the love interest to die?

Yeah? Does that sound like some MCU properties that maybe you were less than enamored with? Would you be even more interested if I told you A Fractured Infinity is 1000% more gay than Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness or What if...? And maybe like, 75% more gay than Loki. The point is it's gay, and fun, and I really enjoyed it.

He is known as ’Ghost’ or ‘Ser Riley’ among the common people in the vastness of your kingdom and beyond, and feared fiercely by the enemy.

As you lie on the white silken sheets, immersed in the warmth of your lover’s arms, the thoughts that have preoccupied your mind for quite a while, emerge once again.

And this is the moment you choose to give voice to your deepest desire.

“Simon...” your soft voice breaks the peaceful silence as the churning in your stomach begins to grow unbearable.

“Yes, my queen?” he implores, sensing a surge of curiosity and worry as your tone implies a matter of immense significance.

You lift your head off his chest, glaring into the depth of his dreamy eyes.

“What if we marry?” you question, voice slightly wavering, a mixture of excitement and anxiety piling up inside you.

“You will be crowned as king and we will rule together and there will be no need to hide any longer.” you go on before he responds.

“My queen! I am not worthy of such an eminent status. This amount of power surpasses my abilities.” he retorts, the leaden weight of longing and sorrow heavy in his heart.

“Simon! You are my most honourable knight. A most honourable man. Have some pride in yourself, I beg you!” you remark, a low chuckle escaping your lips.

He avoids your gaze, head hanging low while heat creeps up on his neck and cheeks, a faint smile forming on his blushing face.

“Simon...” you call out, your voice enchanting as a siren, beckoning for him to meet your eyes.

“You can decline the position but please think about my proposal.” you plead with him.

"There is no need as there is no doubt in my mind nor my heart that I wish to marry you." he responds earnestly, voice deep and gravelly, stating his honesty and sincerity even further.

Your fingers softly trace the scars which scatter across his face.

“I love you.” you murmur, lips only a hair’s breadth away from his slightly parted ones as he gazes into your pleading eyes.

Oh, how he wishes to drown and be buried in your mesmerizing eyes.

“I love you as well, my queen. Beyond the immensity of the oceans and the vastness of infinity.” he mutters as if in a trance, captivated by your beauty and grace.

You offer a soft smile, tears welling up in your eyes before kissing him tenderly, your arms wrapping around him as you straddle his lap.

His arms engulf you in a warm, loving embrace, delicately and protectively as though you are the most precious jewel of all.

“Simon Riley, will you marry me?” you urge with your beautiful, alluring smile.

“It will be an honour, my love.” he responds, returning the smile as he captures your lips in a loving kiss once again.
