Synopsis: after being ghosted one too many times, you start to think that maybe love and relationships just aren’t in the cards for you. that is, until your friend confesses something that he’s been hiding from you, you start to change your mind.

Chapter 2
“I will go ahead and email you the manuscript once I finish it up,” You spoke into your phone, having a meeting over the phone with your agent.
“You’ll have to let me know what you think, and trust me, you can be brutally honest.” You laugh.
Currently, you sat at your desk in your apartment, which was your typical writing space. It was the one room where you could really focus and get work done, and today you spent practically most of your day working on planning for a new book and meetings and phone calls with your agent.
She chuckles in response, “Oh cmon, Y/N, have I ever lied about loving your work? I wasn’t kidding when I said before, you're one of my favorites.”
“I appreciate the compliment.” You smile, beaming with pride at her words.
“Anyway,” She continues, “Once I get it I’ll look it over and get with the editor, and if all goes as planned, we’ll set up a meeting with the publishers and discuss where we go from there.”
“Perfect,” You sigh with relief, stretching in your desk chair that you have been sitting in for just a tad too long. “Just keep me updated, like usual.”
“Yeah of course,” Your agent replies. “You know me, I’ll keep you in the loop. Listen, I’ll let you get back to it, I don’t wanna keep you.”
“Okay, I’ll talk to you later.” You speak, as you both say your goodbyes and mutually hang up.
You get up shortly afterwards to take a quick break. Walking into the kitchen, you decide to make a coffee. While you wait for your coffee to brew, you lean against the kitchen counter as you briefly thumb through a magazine.
Once it’s done, you take it back to your desk to sip on as you get back to work.
After some time after you’ve been busy typing away on your laptop, your phone begins to ring, interrupting your thoughts. You snatch it off your desk to answer it, not even giving it a glance as to who is calling you.
“Hello…?” You speak into the phone, your voice laced with mild irritation.
“Oh, I’m sorry. Were you busy? I can call back later…” Namjoon’s sweet voice can be heard on the other line as he sensed that he did in fact interrupt something.
“Oh my gosh, Joon, I’m sorry I didn’t even pay any attention that it was you,” You immediately apologize for your previous tone, chuckling. “I was just working on something, what’s up?”
“I’ll make it quick, I just wanted to run something by you.” He starts, “I invited Yoongi to come to my studio later to give him a listen of my album and ask him for some help on some things, and I was wondering if you’d come along, you know, if you’re not doing anything.”
“Oh, you’re finally going to let me hear it?” You tease, earning a laugh from Namjoon.
You had previously been begging him to hear at least one song, at the least, to which he always objected.
“Of course I’ll be there, any specific time?”
“I told them to come around eight, but just come whenever you can.” He then adds: “I’ll let you go, I didn’t mean to interrupt you.”
“Don’t worry about it,” You smile. “ I’ll see you tonight.” You both say your goodbyes and mutually hang up.
After the phone call, you decide to get back to working on your manuscript. Finishing three whole pages, which took you a few hours, you decided to call it a day and get ready to head over to Namjoon’s studio.
You settled on a comfy outfit, your favorite hoodie and leggings, a claw clip in your hair, and some sneakers. After grabbing your tote bag, which you never left your apartment without, you left. On your way over, you decided to stop off and pick up some iced coffees for the three of you.
Upon arrival, you were able to just walk in the building and make your way to Namjoon’s studio, especially since you hung out there with him often enough where everyone seemed to recognize you.
Holding the drinks in one hand, and your bag in the other, you knocked on the door with your elbow, since there was really no other way with your hands full, uttering a quiet “Oh shit.” as you almost spilled the drinks in your hand while doing so.
The door opens, Namjoon appearing in the doorway.
“You could’ve just come in,” He states, standing back to allow you to step in. “I had it unlocked.”
“I figured that,” You walk inside, holding up the drink carrier of iced coffee you were carrying in your hand. “But I kinda had my hands full.” You laugh, making him smile in return.
You set the drinks down on the table, noticing it was just the two of you and Yoongi hadn’t arrived yet.
“I see I beat Yoongi here.” You chuckle, as you quickly scan the room
“He just texted me not long ago, he said he’ll be here soon.” Namjoon mentions while grabbing a coffee from the table where you had set them. He sits down at his desk and you follow, sitting next to him.
“So how’s the book writing coming along?” He asks, his gaze focused on the monitor in front of him while he clicks away at things on the screen.
You smirk to yourself at his comment. It flattered you that he was equally interested in your work as you were in his.
“It’s almost done, I’m just putting in my last final touches and then it’s off to the editors,” You start, then breathe a sigh. “I’m kind of relieved to be almost done with it actually.”
“Why?” Namjoon chuckles at your response, turning to face you this time. “I figured you’d be excited about it.”
“I am, I’m just ready to get it out and let the readers have it as their own, you know?” You question, to which he nods. You sip your coffee and lean back in your seat, suppressing a laugh.
“Gosh, listen to me. I sound like you.”
He smiles, his skin illuminated by the glow of the computer screen in front of him.
“So, I’ll play a track for you, before Yoongi gets here.”
You watch him as his gaze focuses on the computer monitor as he decides what track to play for you.
“Here, listen to this one.” Namjoon announces as he decides, as All Day, the third track from his album begins to play.
After playing a few more songs, the door opens causing both you and Namjoon to turn around to see Yoongi entering, and Namjoon pauses the song.
“Namjoonie,” Yoongi laughs. “You didn’t tell me y/n was coming.”
“I wanted it to be a surprise.” Namjoon chuckles at Yoongi, and the two of you exchange a glance. “Y/n brought you a coffee.” He motions toward the table in front of him.
“I see,” Yoongi replies, noticing right away. “Thank you y/n, you know me so well.”
You smile back at him. “You’re welcome. I know you’re pretty much just like me, always up for a coffee.”
The rest of the night flew by rather quickly than you would have thought especially after drinking your coffee, eating some snacks, listening to more songs, and hearing the two of them discuss track lists and whatnot.
“Holy shit,” You announced, looking at the time on your phone. “Is it midnight already? I better get going.”
“You’re leaving?” Namjoon asks, sounding disappointed. He would stay in his studio with you all night if he could.
“Yeah, it’s getting kinda late. Plus I have some important meetings and stuff tomorrow that I can’t miss.” You grab your tote bag off the chair that it was previously sitting on, and retrieve your keys from it.
“I’ll talk to you tomorrow, Please don’t stay here all night, okay? Get some rest, please?” You add, knowing that he definitely has been exhausting himself working on this album.
“Promise.” Namjoon replies, and smiles as he watches you leave.

The soundcheck is over, Alcatraz sold out, a thousand Milanese waiting to see the star of the evening: the Belgian-Egyptian singer Tamino. He relaxes behind the scenes, drinks green (tea) and wears black (Armani): like a 26-year-old prince of darkness. He has gentle manners, and a voice that vibrates on a broad spectrum. From the dark depths (the school is the one that goes from Leonard Cohen and Jacques Brel to Jeff Buckley and the alt-rock genre called “shoegaze”: emo tones, monochord guitars) to an angelic falsetto.
Soon, Tamino will go out there on stage and, without doing ballets or stepping on flowers, almost motionless except for when he holds his oud (a lute of the Arab tradition), he will attract attention. He is hieratic, with the charisma of a crusader of introverts, quiet people, and young romantic heroes; what allowed him to create a following that goes from [sic], (Colin Redwood [sic], former bassist of Radiohead, left Thom Yorke's group to follow him through studios and tours) up to the Arab world, from which it takes up sounds and instruments.
Tamino: Style's interview
Amir, the title of your first album and your middle name, means "prince" in Arabic. Were you raised as a little prince?
Well, I don't think so. Princes lead a very controlled life, lots of rules, discipline. I had a free childhood.
For the idea of calling you Tamino, like the young prince in Mozart's Magic Flute, we should thank your mother, Eva (de Pauw, anthropologist, hobby musician, passionate about cultures). What was it like growing up in Belgium?
Inspiring in many ways: lots of good art, music, art movements. From the Surrealism of René Magritte, to the music of Tom Barman's dEUS, a band that has opened many doors to the alternative scene. Then there are the negative sides in the social culture: in Belgium we tend not to value the potential of others... We are made like this, we like to see ourselves laying low, leveling ourselves up.
You realized this as soon as you finished compulsory school and left to study music in Holland.
It was an enlightening and difficult experience. From cool Antwerp designers to Amsterdam street style. Two hours by train and you land in another world. I wanted to shake off the provincial part of Belgium.
Habibi: I needed love
And your first hit song was born right in Amsterdam, in 2017: Habibi ... an Arabic and universal word of love.
You can say it to your loved one, to good friends, but also to a waiter: “Come here habibi, bring me a coffee”... Well, during the first days in Amsterdam I was depressed, very lonely, it was difficult to find human ties. I was looking for warmth, love: that piece came from there.
Of that vagueness that generates universality...
I think back to a title from the Talking Heads: Stop making sense. When you write lyrics for a song, you don't have to chase a precise meaning. Better ask yourself if your words convey the right feelings.
Typically Tamino: the yearning, the nostalgia. Songs like Indigo night: nocturnal, brooding, even melancholy. You recognise yourself in it?
I certainly tend to ruminate on things a lot. Too much...
An app to free yourself from the ego
And how do you free yourself from it?
Meditation helps. I also use a specific app, Waking Up: Beyond Meditation. Ten minutes a day is enough. It helps me to free myself from the ego, to feel myself a witness of thought, of consciousness. Simply necessary. More than diet or physical training.
Sahar, the title of the second and most recent album, means "at the crack of dawn."
For me it is already part of the past: the last words I sing are “before I step into darker days”...
That is: “Prima d'inoltrarmi in giorni più oscuri.”
I mean: before facing new torments, new struggles. What helps you grow is discomfort. That's the challenge. Never be afraid to step into the unknown.
Out of the comfort zone...
I like spending some time in New York. I stay out of my own comfort zone, it's not comfortable for me. And doing so inspires me.
Lone sailor
In the video for Sunflower, a duet with the singer Angèle, you have the air of a romantic hero. Do you want to act?
In that video I enjoyed interpreting, even without lines, this figure of the lonely sailor. This was an idea from the director. I've only done a little theater and at most a few sailing trips with friends.
Would you be a testimonial for a perfume?
Well, yes, under the right conditions... For example, a prestigious operation like the Bleu de Chanel campaign with Gaspard Ulliel, with that spot directed by Martin Scorsese.
A spot that stylises the clichés of a rock star life: glamorous places, flashes, meetings with crazy people...
In reality it scares me to meet too many people. I'm a very lonely guy. Even though I’m finding it easier and easier for me to make connections lately, I steer clear of glam dinners or events.
Then you spends the whole summer on the road
I have fun at festivals. My favourite is Into the Great Wide Open, on the island of Vlieland, Holland: 10,000 people, zero cars, music, love and kindness.
Your summer also includes two Italian stages.
I always like to play in Italy. The warmer the countries, the warmer the audience.
I live in Türkiye
Who knows in the Middle East, or in Africa.
We do the biggest lives in Turkey: crazy crowds. And Egypt is like coming home: you feel that for the people it is more than just a concert.
Your surname is famous in Egypt. Your grandfather Muharram Fouad was a musical star, your father started out as a performer.
It's like an Egyptian dynasty of music. A fun fact about me being a huge Lord of the Rings fan is that I've always felt like Aragorn, the legitimate heir to the Elven throne, who travels incognito. Nobody ever knows who he is. I felt like this growing up in Belgium. It was never talked about, nor was there much money, and that side of the family has only emerged now that I'm better known.
Who among the main names would you bring next to you at the festival of your dreams?
I don't even know if I would put myself among the top names... I'd like Anouar Brahem, Tunisian, master of the oud. And then something electronic, maybe the Aphex Twins. And I dream of working with Massive Attack.
Many festivals. But never a festive song?
I should write one first. But generally gloomy, tenebrous things come out to me.
Let's say you sing one happy song and save the world; which one do you choose?
I don't know if a happy song could save the world. Lou Reed's Walk on the Wild Side?
The height of happiness.A matter of feeling: a song can be sad in itself, but make you feel good. A glimmer of hope, an air of comfort. It can wrap you in emotions. Maybe you're sad, and that's okay: because you feel alive. A song full of life: well, for me it will always be a good song.

I think we'll start to see some of the members break into other solo activities. I'm here for Actor Jin. I think we're going to see Namjoon work in other mediums, sooner rather than later given his mystery project promo (and his repeated mentions of art and other mediums). I could see him creating and curating. Yoongi? I think he's going to be focused on producing the group efforts. But, pipe dream, I'd love to see him take on scoring a film. His lyrics and rapping skills get deserved attention but the backing of his songs is so interesting and I've love to see more of it in a different form.
I'd love to see Hobi lean more into fashion -- a fashion partnership/collab -- he could be the guest editor of a shoot/project/mag or do a small run of something. I don't know about the others. Tae has already been involved in so many other projects. I definitely think he'll act in some way-- the amount of offers he must have after the IU music video! But Tae keeps us guessing. Variety shows, live performances, acting in music videos, coffee ambassador, muse for all the magazines. I know he's got something up his sleeve we don't expect.
I think we may see more collabs for JK. There is no way that every major recording artist isn't fighting through his proverbial inbox. I could see him doing collabs in conjunction with group work to keep his toe in the solo side (and on the charts) but not take the time/attention of a full album. I hope Tae might do this as well in his own way. I think he was so smart with his first album -- no collabs, live performances, not written by him (so people can't speculate). He's a critically and commercially acclaimed artist in his own right. I'd love to see him partner with other artists -- especially ones that aren't as mainstream.
And I think they'll do some big spon con together -- of what I don't know -- but something to globally highlight the reunion.
I could also see SK wanting them to do more prominent cultural ambassador-y stuff post-ms. I think of that video that Namjoon had to do for his graduation ceremony. It will be interesting to see how the navigate that and what they feel that they have to do in those capacities.
Ok, that's enough of a random ramble of thoughts...
Hi!
I love the idea of Namjoon curating a museum! I think it would suit him very well, and I hope his next project (which I assume it’s music) it’s gonna be something like Indigo again, I really liked the album. Yes for actor Jin and uhmmm I think Yoongi is gonna be an even bigger producer, if Pdogg isn’t in Hybe he will produce the group songs and I can see him having more projects piled up for other artists, I think he likes being a producer a lot.
I hope Hobi does some mentoring in a show again, he’s a great teacher and the industry’s best dancer so he should get a gig like that. Regarding Jungkook, do you think this America trial will keep going? Like do you think his solo career will keep being centered there?
I think Taehyung will drop a second ep somewhere in the future, and that he will drop Travel with me too idk why but I’m convinced that song is gonna see the light of the day (I’m just convincing myself 🕯️), also yeah more acting gigs, something international at some point.

Be mindful of changes during ‘FACE’ release...
I’ve been seeing a lot of people overly excited of the possibilities once we get the TRACK LIST tomorrow, but we also need to be conscious that EVERYTHING that was discussed during FESTA2022 was “subject to change”.
Which also begs the question or theory that FESTA2022 was pre-recorded:
#01. Notice how they weren’t reading comments, but instead were reading pre-established questions.
#02. RM mentioned that the order of Solo-ALBUM releases & debuts would be: Jhope►Himself►JK►Suga►Jimin.
Despite the fact that we knew since MAY that Jhope would be the first to drop his album & debut in Lollapalooza. On that same kmedia article it was announced that HYBE would debut JK for the US right after Jhope’s.
#03. There were vague mentions of “possible” collabs in each other’s albums. Starting with Jimin having shown his songs between Jhope, Suga and even Jin. But neither of the 3 actually heard the same songs. And it was SUGA who brought up the topic that “Jimin’s been working on this one song...” and then proceeds to “reveal” (but was NOT confirmed) that Jimin asked him if he wanted to be featured in said song (note that not even Jhope knew about this song since Jimin showed him a different one). So in the end and after much teasing Suga said he would work with him or any of them for free.
But what REALLY happened was:
[rest of 2022, July-onward]
A) Jhope debuted with JITB during July ► went to Lollapalooza.
B) JK did that collab with CP.
C) Tae did that one photoshoot with Vogue Korea & went to Paris Fashion Week for the Celine show along with L*sa & P*rk Bogum (but in the end it was Bogum who got the BA contract for Celine during November).
D) We started getting photos & info of Jimin working or having worked with multiple producers for his album and also hints of him doing photoshoots on his own.
E) The Busan Concert happened, one final concert as a group of 7.
F) Jin was debuted with “The Astronaut” ► sang with Coldplay in Argentina. (Despite the fact that Jin hadn’t been planning to debut yet until AFTER his MS, but the producers apparently pressured him to finish at-least ONE song before this happened).
G) JK performed in the WC with “Dreamers” (a song that was originally a group collab/project due to their contract with HYUNDAI, but JK was sent alone instead of the whole group and BTS is credited in the song along with his name).
H) The choir that was featured & sang in the background of “Friends/Chingu” drops a surprise announcement through twitter and Instagram congratulating Jimin who was allegedly dropping a Single AHEAD of his upcoming album. But not even 12hrs later both of these announcement mysteriously disappeared.
I) RM debuts with “INDIGO” (Note: before his official debut, a Kmedia article, the same one that announced Jhope & JK’s solo debuts, said that INDIGO would feature collaborations between RM x Pharrel, as well as RM x JK, but neither of these happened).
J) Jimin is rumored to feature in a collab with Big Bang member, Taeyang, for his album in Jan.
K) Jin leaves for MS.
(I’m gonna skip the end of year awards ‘cause we’re drawing a timeline of debuts to compare with FESTA. There was also a Weverse post or conv between Taehyung & an army where Tae expressed that he scrapped his entire album/mixtape and will start working from scratch again despite him having almost finished it and Suga even told him during FESTA “Don’t be afraid just drop it and see what happens”)
[Start of 2023-onwards]
A) The collab between Jimin x Taeyang is revealed to be true & drops mid-January.
B) W.Korea Magazine drops a session of photos with Jimin.
C) Later on Jimin is also revealed as DIOR’s Global Brand Ambassador & that his first mission as GBA was to do this photoshoot with W.Korea (which was done sometime during August or so, but his contract with Dior happened as soon as BTS made their hiatus official) ► attends Paris Fashion Week where he is officially introduced as the Face of Dior.
**Note: Jhope also attends PFW as a guest to multiple brand shows.
D) A week or so later Suga is also announced/revealed as Brand Ambassador to Valentino under a special campaign (his contract with the brand had also been signed since BTS’ hiatus announcement) ► Attends Paris Fashion Week.
E) Jimin comes live twice in a span of two weeks where he gives us little snippets of what he’s been doing and working on, becoming GBA for Dior, how his album is doing. During the second time he comes online he tells us that his album would probably drop sometime in February and to look forward to it.
F) Tae starrs in a reality tv show that was secretly filmed in Mexico last year while on a “vacation trip” with wooga squad.
G) Mid-February Suga is announced to be going on a solo tour starting April.
H) Jimin’s album gets moved to March 24th.
Where am I going with all this?
That no matter WHAT happens when the track list drops tomorrow lets not feel sad or disappointment if certain things DON’T happen.
If we get collabs great, if not then also great. Its not the end of the world.
After-all, we know that PDogg was involved in the production of Jimin’s album and it is PDogg himself who has been against certain collabs between members in the past.
So lets just focus on supporting JIMIN to the fullest during his first and much anticipated solo album. Know where to buy so that it counts for charts, stream on all platforms that you can.
