Anyway tho, can I pls request on how the turtles react to our sleepy roommate, actually looking their best. Such as in a nice outfit and they freshened up. 100% whistles when he comes to pick you and April up for a special NYPD ceremony and gets a look at your nightly outfit

It’s not even anything super sexy; a (c,c) long sleeved, v neck jumper with a simple floral design down one of the open pent legs accompanied with a pair of (c,c) block heals and simple but stylish jewelry

The outfit and your styled up looks are just so different from what Mikey is used to seeing you in, which is usually either comfy sweats or casual clothing depending on the location

He lets you know how stunning you look and doesn’t miss the way you shyly try to hide your blush at his compliments, which only spurs him on some more

At one point in the night he makes a slightly flirtatious comment about how he’s not surprised you pulled off such a look, because he thinks you’re gorgeous in anything, and is promptly met with your very flustered response of shoving your matching orange purse in his face (he regrets nothing!)

Donatello:

This poor turt feels his stomach fluttering when lays eyes upon your outfit for the nights celebration

Accentuating your appearance is a soft (c,c) dress with a sewn on silk cape that covers your upper arms, frilly tights cover your legs and adorable (c,c) flats support your feet, and to top it all off is a simple but very cute pastel purple bow clipped neatly to your hair to pull it all together

Donnie nearly chokes up on his words trying to think of the right thing to say, as he’s so used to seeing you wearing anything else but this type of style

Eventually he settles for just offering you his arm to walk with him into the rented convention center the NYPD is hosting in, to which you appreciatingly take

You’re just so pretty and to be frank the purple bow is definitely throwing him off in the best of ways

Of course, Donnie being too smart for his own good, has a sneaking suspicion the accessory was a purposeful choice based on your little smirk and glinting gaze

Raphael:

All the impatience Raphael felt waiting for you and April to finish getting ready dissipates like water in the Sahara when his golden eyes lay witness to your get up

Enveloping you is a beautiful (c,c) asymmetrical cloak sleeved top that cascades diagonally down your form and to match are a pair of equally flowing wide leg trousers and (c,c) coned heels

The accessory picked to match is a very pretty necklace with a glimmering ruby, a detail that does not escape Raphael’s notice

Speaking of notice, it does not escape you the slightly awkward silence you and April are greeted with from the burly ninja

Raph is quick to fix himself when April ask if he’s okay, hoping no one notices the deep blush upon his cheeks, and he jokingly pretends to not recognize you, saying he’s just focused on trying to see where you’re at

You of course roll your eyes at his antics and smack his arm, Raphael chuckling at your slight feistiness he adores, and commits your un-characteristic appearance to the catalog of memories he has of you

Leonardo:

Much like Raphael, Leonardo is left speechless when the balcony window to your and April’s apartment opens to reveal your chosen attire for the NYPD ceremony

A (c,c) suit blazer tops a neatly ironed dress shirt that’s tucked into matching (c,c) slacks held up by a fastened belt and to match are a pair of (c,c) oxfords to offer your feet comfort as well as added fanciness

The blue tie around your collared shirt is what catches Leo’s eyes, a grin spreading across his face as he steps inside and makes a comment about how the outfit suits you

Ignoring his punny compliment you simply say thanks before adding that you just wish you could get the tie to not be crooked and if he would be okay lending a hand

Leonardo has no issue helping especially when it comes to you and as he closes the gap between you to adjust said troublesome tie, it takes all of his willpower to not get completely enraptured by the deepening blush upon your soft cheeks, that of which always seems to make him equally flush

Hello ooohs! I just wanted to say that I adore your AU and just can't get enough of the change in dynamics for Rise!!

Your designs are incredible (( especially Leo's!! He is so adorable <3 )) and I get so excited each time you post!

So I have a question I want to ask: I have a huge soft spot a mile wide for Leo/Splinter family bond dynamic. I just turn to mush every time their familial bond is portrayed in comics/fanart/ and fanfiction.

Anyway! My question is: do Leo and Splinter develop a close relationship with each other later in the AU after meeting for the first time? I mean it has been shown how much of a fan boy Leo is for Splinter XD. Can your provide more insight into it and what Splinter thinks of the other three kids?

I also wanted to bring up a small error in The Cell part 3 that I noticed

For Donnie: "that's " was it supposed to be "that" ?

And skfskbdwlskdisj yessss I love Splinter's and Leo's dynamic you're so real for that. And yeah, out of the of the Drax Bros, Leo is the one who ends up growing the closest to Splinter, both because he's been a secret Lou Jitsu fanboy for years at this point, but also because Leo was the first to change his mind on the evil world domination plan. Leo freed Donnie from imprisonment and tried to help him stop The Foot and The Shredder in the season 1 finale, and I imagine Splinter would be quite appreciative of that.

Not to mention, after Leo technically betrayed his family (even if it was for good reasons) Leo's and Draxum's relationship is a bit tense to say the least. And we see in the show that Leo has a tendency to seek out extra father figures, so in the AU Leo would be quite enthusiastic to recieve any positive attention from Splinter.

Splinter I imagine would feel rather guilty about not being able to rescue any of the turtles aside from Donnie when he fled Draxum's lair. He'd wanted to prevent Draxum from raising them as soldiers, so in failing to do that Splinter would continue to worry about how they were doing even years after the incident. After encountering the Drax Trio again years later, he'd be relieved that they don't seem to be TOO traumatized or anything, but they ARE still child soldiers, so that's a yikes.

That being said, while Splinter would've liked to find a way to get the other turtles away from Draxum, his priorities very much lie with Donnie. Considering how powerful Draxum is, and how Big Mama would also be looking for him, Splinter couldn't risk going back to the Hidden City to try to get Donnie's brothers without risking both his own and Donnie's safety. So he decided to cut his losses and play it safe by laying low in NYC and putting as much effort as he could into only protecting Donnie. This stays the same even after Donnie runs into his brothers as a teen, Splinter feels no ill will towards the other three turtles, but they WERE raised by Draxum so he does not trust them. Leo gains his trust after helping Donnie in the season 1 finale, but it takes some more time for him to start fully trusting Raph and Mikey because he wants to be sure that they're not gonna switch back to being evil or something and try to kidnap Donnie again.

Splinter's relationship with Draxum is the same as in the show, Splinter hates Draxum, Draxum hates Splinter, and there is NO underlying homoerotic tension between the two of them WHATSOEVER!

... Anyway, with that concluded, that IS a typo goddamit. I do appreciate people pointing out spelling and grammar mistakes in the comics I make, so thanks for that. But also it's a small enough mistake that I'm probably just gonna leave it be, I'm to lazy to fix it XD

I) she has a tail. Is that a Kraang feature or do all the turtles in your universe have tails and hers is just extended?

II) Uh pink? Pink like Kraang? Did she choose her life colors, or???

III) Is. Is she. Is she autistic too

IV) Draxum-Hamato sooooo what does she call them? Did they argue about nicknames? Also was it Donnie’s choice to include Draxum’s name as well

V) Lita in the comics???

VI) Is there a reason her shell isn’t smooth like Donnie’s?

VII) What does she call Renet?

VIII) Ninpo question mark?

IX) Pupils! I love the way you draw her pupils. Is there a reason or is it just fun

X) Does she have a certain resistance to Kraang mind digging? Like that thing they did to interrogate Raph in the movie? To read his memories?

XI) So the cloak/scarf thing is Leo, the purple accents and stripes are Donnie, and the kneepads are Mikey. Any Raph references in her clothes?

Apologies if you’ve answered these before and I just didn’t see them! Have a good day and give Lita one too for goodness sakes girl’s had it rough already

1. It’s more of a Krang feature. I do love when the turtles are drawn with tails, but I didn’t do it from the beginning, and so for consistency sake in the EW universe I’ve held off. Maybe one day I’ll just say “fuck it” and give into the urge to give them all cute little tails. But even if I did, Lita’s would be much longer than any of the family’s (except Raph’s hypothetical tail lol).

2. Lita being albino and pink in the IDW comics pretty much made that Krang connection for me lol. I didn’t have to reach too hard with her design. She leans into it.

3. I have her personality very close to Leo’s canon personality, so she’s more on the ADHD side. She does have some sensory issues with sound, which a lot of ppl with adhd have (👋🏻). But being raised around the quiet and solemn Time Masters Sanctum it’s like really noticeable. When she visits the family, it can be very overwhelming, but rather than shutting down, she gets insanely riled up and can’t contain herself. It works though—everyone is more than happy to let her ramble on.

4. She never met either of them but Splinter of course would’ve been Jiji and Draxum would’ve been just Grandfather. Nothing too out of this world lol. And yes, Donnie chooses to embrace Draxum’s name.

5. Sorry idk what exactly this is asking. Like yes? Lita May is based off IDW Lita, from the comics 😅 sorry if I’m missing the question.

6. She is a spiny soft shell like Donnie, but yes, her spines are significantly more pronounced, thanks to, you guessed it!

7. Master Renet, or Aunty Ren in a more causal setting.

8. 🤫 we’ll see (I’m still trying to think of something cool and not too OP lol)

9. Her eyes are just for design fun, and to link her to Donnie some more!

10. That’s gonna be another big 🤫, but less because I haven’t decided and more just for the big spoilers! 😜

11. She’s kinda got two outfits atm and I think I might end up merging the two. Her simpler outfit of just her wraps and mask are very Raph coded, so I wanna figure out some sort of middle ground with the two.

▉ ▉ Raphael ▉ ▉ ● It was a quiet night, you and Raph were cuddling in his room, just enjoying the silence and time together. He puts you on top of his plastron, since that way you have more room

● He was ready to fall asleep, thinking that you were already in dreamland due to your slow and soft breathing

● "I love you, (y/n)" he says, kissing your forehead and shifting slowly to get more comfy. "…I love you more"

● Your voice but a whisper, it takes him a bit to register that you spoke and then a bit more to process the words

● Raph's response is hugging you tighter, closer to him, if possible. He knows he's not too great with words, so he wishes to convey how much you mean to him through the contact

● The squeeze got a giggle out of you, knowing very well what it meant. "Goodnight" you murmured, nuzzling to finally drift off. "Night"

▲▲ Leonardo ▲▲ ● Leo and you are watching some movies, in onesies and with soft blankets on top, overall feeling very cozy and calm. He shifted closer, surrounding you with one arm to guide your head to his shoulder. Resting his cheek against the top of your head, he casually says it. "I love you"

● "I love you more" was your immediate response, and he chuckled. "That's very sweet dear, but I think it's obvious that I love you more, since I'm a turtle"

● "What does that have to do with anything?" you shifted to look up at him, seeing his grin widen, like he had expected this to happen and was ready… oh no…

● "Because I'm turtley in love with you!". Leo proudly delivered the punchline to his joke, God, that may be the worst pun you've ever heard

● You just kissed his cheek and immediately slammed a cushion on his face, focusing back on the movie as he whinned about you not appreciating his "comedy" enough or something like that

▌▌Donatello ▌▌ ● Both of you are in his lab, he's working on some blueprints and concepts for new tech while you do your own thing. Reading a book, playing some games. However, the calm atmosphere shifted when you began hearing mumbling, and paper being ripped and crumpled into a ball that you raised your eyes just in time to see fall right into the trash

● You rose from your seat, walking up to peek at the table from over his shoulder. Donnie was obviously struggling with one of his sketches, as he tapped the pencil repeatedly on the paper

● "And if you move this, to there?" you suggested, pointing at the parts you talked about. Not that you were an expert, but being around Donnie exposed you to his designs enough to make a good guess

● "(y/n), you're a genius! I love you!" he said, taking your face into his hands to land a quick kiss on your cheek. "I love you more" you giggled. "That doesn't sound correct, because I love you more, but I'd have to do the calculations later"

● "Well, according to MY calculations, I love you more", you pushed his shoulder playfully. He laughed as he went back to his prints. "I will give the victory to you this once, but next time I'll even have graphs to prove my point". "Donnie, no". "Donnie, yes!"

⬤⬤ Mikey ⬤⬤ ● Mikey and you sat back to back, he was doing some collages and you did your own projects. A pretty chill day, being honest

● It didn't surprise you when his voice perked up above the music you had playing in the background, to casually say "I love you!" in the cheerful tone he usually has. "I love you too, in fact, I love you more!" you replied, leaning a bit more into his shell, giving him a playful shove

● Mikey turned around enough to now be side by side, hugging you tightly like that, pressing his cheek to yours. You returned the hug as much as you could, laying your hands atop the arm surrounding your front

● "Nuh-uh, I love you moooore!" he said. You giggled. "Nope! I love you more". "No, I love you more, (y/n)" "No, I love you more" "No, I love you more". You and Mikey were the couple of "Noo, you hang uuup~", and it showed, it extended to this kind of "banter" too

● However, this one ended soon enough after you heard the collective groaning from his brothers. You both just laughed one more time before resuming your activities, though, you kept the cheesy lovey-dovey grins, just to bother the others~

Hi! I've been following your story since probably the 5th chapter (I'm not sure exactly), and it's absolutely amazing! I ran across the anamatic for it first, and I wasn't entirely sure what I was looking at. I had only ever known the 2007 movie version of tmnt. And then the description said it came from your story, and I love reading, so I checked it out. There, it said to watch the show first, and I was like, nahhhh. It'll be fine. I know the characters, the 4 boys, splinter, Casey and April, the Shredder. What more was there?

Oh boy. As soon as I read the name Draxum, I was confused. I thought maybe I was misremembering Shredders real name. But then who was Big Mama?

So I caved and went to find the show.

I was the same as everyone else who started it. "What in the world did they do to them?!" I really didn't like Splinter. The designs of the boys were so weird. Why was Raph acting so childish? The whole caboodle.

But I was informed by anime watchers years prior that when you first start a show, you need to give it the 3 episode test: watch the first three episodes before you give your final verdict. The first three are vital for the show writers and artists and producers to play with and figure out how the show is going to move forward and what style they'll fall into. They have the first three episodes to gently flush out who the characters are without bombing the watchers with info. So I did.

It was exactly what I needed to get through college. It actually retaught me how to laugh at shows again. How to be engaged. How to enjoy something again.

And as soon as I finished the show, I went right back to your story and finally understood who the characters were.

And coming fresh from the show, the characters I read in your story were like I never finished the series. Everything about them was the same. You drew their personalities out perfectly.

I wanted to share my findings and did the exact same thing I went through for a friend. I showed her the video, and she got excited. I told her of the story, but that it only made sense after the show. She watched the show and enjoyed it all. I gave there the link to your tale, and she ate it up. I thought she might have a breakdown as she waited for each update.

We got both our brothers into the show. I got another guy friend to watch it, and finally convinced another friend to watch it. The first friend got HER friend to watch it...

Really, it's all because of your story that I have a whole friend group that I can talk about turtles with.

I have actually had people read lfls with zero turtle background knowledge before, but if you are trying to map it to a different iteration it is definitely quite different. You probably joined around the 10th chapter, since I don't believe I had any serious fandom presence or fanart let alone an animatic until around that time.

Before Rise, 2007 was the only iteration of turtles I knew as well, by chance.

Hard labor had been nothing to shy away from when it came to your jobs. You preferred something more hands on. The thought of being stuck in some behind the counter/salesperson schtick just wouldn’t cut it.

So you’d taken a job at the docks.

The oh so infamously dangerous docks.

Now you hadn’t expected much to go down, from the looks of it crime had been relegated to its typical petty thefts and what not. You had four large friends to thank for that after all.

Naturally though, there just had to be some insane event every now and then to keep you humble and on yours toes.

So when a rivaling gang had infiltrated and all hell had broken loose you remained as calm as you could.

Four large friends after all.

Four large and very angry friends.

To say the turtles would’ve done everything to protect you was an understatement. Especially Raphael. He had arrived in a fury of punches to rescue you. In the chaos of all you both had been separated from the rest of the guys. The attack was proving much more elaborate than expected, this simply had been the distraction for the main attack happening back in Manhattan. So with orders to move there, Raph had remained behind to haul ass and get you to safety.

That in fact, came in the form of a smoke pellet being thrown near the spot where you both had been hiding. Raph’s quick thinking had made him roughly grab you and push you against his strong build. The smoke was making your eyes water but Raph’s hand at your lower back had left a tickling sensation on your skin.

This wasn’t the first rodeo when it came to peril and potential bodily harm but this sure was a new feeling.

Still holding you close to himself, Raph managed to backpedal into another spot of the docks, the space where you had parked your motorcycle at. There was the escape plan or your best shot at it. You smacked Raph’s chest, you didn’t want to give your location away so you pointed enthusiastically at your bike. Raph looked down to where he quite literally had you squished against him. If he had time to the ability, he’d blush.

He nodded and grabbed your arm to run towards the bike. Hands still shaky you shoved them in your pockets not remembering witch one had the key for the ignition. You could hear the Foot soldiers demanding you both be found and just before a full panic attack could start you yanked the keys and climbed onto the bike. You kickstarted it, a few aggressive stomps of your foot that truth be told had Raph a little more smitten than usual. The engine came to life, as noisily as possible naturally.

“Get your big green butt on!” You shouted as Raph maneuvered his way into the back of the motorcycle. He reached back to see if he could hold something but this wasn’t that type of bike. The cocking of guns made your hands sweat and without much thought you reached behind you and places Raphael’s too big hands around your waist. “Hold the fuck on and don’t let go!” Hands on the throttle you took off just at the bullets began to rain down. Raph held you tight, using his shell to shield you.

As the loud gun fire became whispers and the wind picked up from your speed, Raph allowed himself the first moment to take a breath. The danger was further and further behind them.

So maybe now he could freak the fuck out that he was holding you.

You felt Raph’s forearm dig a little into your stomach and without much thought you reached to affectionately rub it. This whole night was stressful and the close calls had the two of you on edge. The soothing motion made him smile for the time since the attack went down.

Even if it only served to dig another pin into his heart. Remind him that he want this more than anything he could ask for.

Been cooking my own tmnt iteration for a while, dunno how much will live anywhere but my brain but I wanna do some refs, so here's the turts!

I've been calling it Teenage Mutant Jazz Turtles or tmjt for short

If you care to hear some more you can peak under the cut

(More refs coming??? eventually I'm still stuck on some designs)

As the name implies, tmjt has more inspiration drawn from musical elements than combat elements. With the turtles not only living in a big ol' tour bus but also attempting to become a competent band after finding their magical instruments. But the ones they discover aren't the only ones out there, and some belong to some pretty nasty characters. (All the villains are gonna have a theme based on a different genre of music!)

The turtles travel and live with their dad (Splinter) and adopted sister (Casey). Originally just trying to survive but that kind of all changes when they accidentally interrupt a plan from the foot clan and not only discover some magical instruments that can turn into weapons, but also an entire world of monsters and creatures when they thought they were the only ones.

Leo is the oldest sibling, but despite this she struggles to be responsible for her siblings after her gender realizations caused a massive crack in her confidence. She's constantly self conscious of how others are perceiving her, even her own family in spite of their boundless support. She's always loved music, thanks to her dad, and dreams of being a singer, but because of how her mouth is built that's also an uphill battle. Her duel katanas can shift into a cello which can put opponents into a trance like sleep. While her given name was Leonardo, she's not sure what she wants to change it to, and simply goes by Leo for the time being. While she doesn't like to show her mouth, her teeth and jaw are powerful enough to bite through a steel knife.

Donnie is the second oldest (by just four days!) and is the one who stepped up to be in charge while Leo figures things out. He doesn't entirely mind the responsibility, though the pressure gets to him sometimes. Especially when Raph decides to criticize his decisions. They're very analytical and logical, their main passion being for mathematics which extends into some of the sciences as well such as physics. They know enough engineering to maintain the tour bus and build a few helpful devices such as their goggles or the calculator in their glove. Donnie puts his passion for math into music, using it to map out patterns for tunes (though not all of them sound good in the end). Their four eyes also have an additional lens to see heat signatures (and their dark vision is incredible). Donnie's clarinet allows him to create visual illusions.

Raph is the second youngest (by four days, Donnie constantly reminds him) and despite his appearance is one of the more level headed members of the family. You kind of have to learn how when your body could release gases that could paralyze your family members. Raph vents his frustration by either releasing gas that Donnie can convert into fuel for the bus or by writing poetry. Not that he ever lets the others read it, but he does put that skill into writing song lyrics. While he keeps cool and collected he still loves a good brawl, and will happily spar with anyone (usually Casey). He just leaves a lot of the destruction to his younger sibling, unless someone in his fam gets hurt, then the gloves are off. Raph is fiercely protective and will square up if someone so much as looks at one of his siblings funny, especially Leo. His high emotions are often why he and Donnie argue. Raph's trumpet can cause phantom pains in the skull, though he rarely has to use it give it how potent his gases can be.

Mikey, the youngest, is a tiny terror and he not only knows this, he takes great pride in it. Mikey enjoys causing chaos for the sheer joy of it, and enjoys it the most when Raph will simply hurl him at opponents for him to latch onto. Over the years he's learned to climb very well with his four arms, going up trees and buildings with ease which can make him very hard to chase after. Despite his love for trouble, however, he can be just as sweet, though his desire to do good deeds for his love ones can be a bit misguided at times (no Mikey you can't just rob the ice cream stand stop). Unfortunately as long as it keeps hiding behind Raph when the consequences happen, it may take some time to grow up (not that it has any interest in doing so right now). Mikey's drums allow him to create intense vibrations in the ground, enough to topple some buildings.

Hi, love your stuff! As a request.. I was thinking Leo x reader with a reader who is as competitive as Leo haha. I was thinking at basketball specifically! Thought it would be funny if it started out as a 3 on 3 game with April and the other three boys but they ended up just watching because Leo and reader were WAY too competitive, and probably didn’t even notice the other four were gone lmao

Extra points if it’s surprising because reader is normally very shy/quiet lmao just not when it comes to competition. But do whatever you like! Just some ideas I had :)

A/N: this one was fun! i can totally see myself getting carried away in a match and trying to win against Leo no matter what, that would give me some real bragging rights lol thanks for requesting!

You didn’t really consider yourself the sporty type, be it about watching sports or actually playing them yourself. Sure, you’d join a friendly round of football or volleyball if it was just doing passes among friends, but that was about it. Being somewhat shy, you preferred watching from the sidelines anyways to cheer on the players.

So when the turtles invited you over for a friendly game of basketball, you didn’t think much of it, expecting to be watching them play as you cheered on your boyfriend from the sidelines. But since April was joining them, they needed one more player for a 3 vs. 3.

The six of you had decided how to split up the teams through a couple of games of rock-paper-scissors. You ended up being teamed up with Donnie and Raph, leaving your boyfriend Leo on the opposing team with Mikey and April. Somehow you had even convinced Splinter to be the referee. He was sitting on the bleachers, munching on some bribe snacks, sporting a striped black and white shirt.

Leo and Raph were doing some warm-up stretches on the court, clearly about to go all out in this game, glaring at each other and calling out empty threats at each other; the psychological game had already begun. You smiled to yourself as you took off your hoodie, showing off the jersey you had gotten from Leo not long ago as a gift; it had his name on the back, together with your favourite number, the shirt being a green and blue design.

“Traitor!” Donnie gasped, pointing at you. “Why are you wearing the name of our opponent?”

“It’s the only sports shirt I had at hand on such short notice” you defended yourself. The purple turtle scoffed in mock offence, while Leo gave you a once-over, nodding to himself in self-satisfaction.

“Alright everyone, settle down” Raph said, calling everyone to the centre of the court. “The game is about to start. Pops, whenever you’re ready!”

And with that, Splinter gave the starting whistle, throwing the ball into the centre of the court from where he sat.

Raph jumped the highest, snatching the ball from Leo. He moved swiftly for his size, evading April and passing you the ball as he called your name, seeing that you stood the closest to the hoop. You received the ball, turned, and were about to shoot your shot but Leo appeared out of nowhere, snatching your ball and sprinting off with it, not without sticking his tongue out at you.

It all had happened so fast, you couldn’t even react.

And it kept happening over and over. It was almost as if Leo had made it his objective to only defend from you, and snatch the ball any time you had it. He didn’t leave you a single chance to make a point.

As he was scoring yet another 2 points, the other team now winning at 16-11, you’d had enough.

“Oh, sweetheart~” you called in an exaggerated sweet voice, Leo turning around where he stood on the other side of the court with a confused expression; that was the nickname you used when you were mad. “It is on, Leonardo!” you exclaimed, pointing at him dramatically with an extended arm, panting and covered in sweat because of the physical exertion.

“I’d like to see you try~” Leo taunted you.

The others weren’t even sure how it had happened, but they all had ended up on the bleachers with Splinter. Leo and you had started passing less and less to the other players, and were now basically playing a 1 on 1 match.

Raph would have reprimanded the two of you, saying how this was just a friendly game, but it was just too entertaining: you were normally reserved, but were now running and playing and yelling like your life depended on winning this game, and you were actually beginning to tire Leo out, who was slowly losing his accuracy and messing up his shots.

Originally you all had planned to play ‘first team to 20 points’, but as the scores kept going higher and higher, Leo and you kept asking to extend the limit; first 25, then 30, and now you wanted to play to 40.

Mikey approached the bench everyone sat at, handing out the food he had quickly picked up after ordering food delivery.

“What did I miss?” he asked, passing Raph some fries.

“Leo is barely winning, the score is now at 38-37” he said and took a bite of his sandwich.

“Damn” Mikey whistled, impressed at your stamina.

“Actually, Y/n might be able to win” Donnie pointed out, doing some calculations on his bracelet screen. “Leo has been starting to mess up the last couple of rounds. They just need a 3-pointer and it’s over.”

The turtles and April started cheering for you from the bench, to which Leo gasped in offence; betrayed by his own brothers.

The next couple of minutes passed with neither of you getting to score. The battle was getting more and more fierce, playful banter escalating between the two of you.

“If I win, you have to do my chores for a week!” Leo said.

“If I win, you have to do as I say for a month!” you retorted.

“Don’t I already do that, though?”

“I mean- I guess? Lemme think of something else!”

“Too slow!” he said, as he snatched the ball from you again.

This time though, you had seen this move often enough to know it’d be coming.

“I don’t think so!” you said, abruptly throwing your whole weight to the side, effectively tackling Leo to the ground. You climbed on top of his shell, trying to reach the ball in his grasp.

“Foul, foul!” Leo yelled, hitting and kicking on the ground, but to no avail; you were set on getting to 40 points.

After getting to his other side, you grabbed the ball, both of you now rising to sit on your knees. In the midst of your tug-o-war, the ball slipped from your sweaty hands, hitting Leo square in the face, bouncing off him and drawing a beautiful arch towards the net. Everyone on the bleachers stopped chewing and breathing, all eyes focused on the ball, which effectively landed on the net, spinning around a couple of times, then going through the basket.

You looked at the ground where you two were, and you saw you were outside the 3-point-line. Splinter whistled, signalling the end of the match.

“I did it, I won!” you called in disbelief.

“But at what cost?” came a groan from below you, and when you looked down at Leo, who was now lying flat on the ground, you noticed his black eye.

“Oh, Leo!” you exclaimed, half-scared, half-amused.

You called for Raph, who helped Leo towards the bleachers, handing him a pack of ice for his face. He instructed the both of you to take a time-out, and eat and drink. Him and the rest went to the court to start a new game, while the two of you sat on the bench.

Taking a bite from your sandwich, you gave Leo an apologetic look, and patted your thighs, inviting him to lie down. He did, resting his head on your lap, still holding the ice pack to his eye.

“I’m sorry for that” you said, gingerly stroking over his bruised cheek.

“Nah, it’s okay” Leo replied, suddenly smirking mischievously. “Totally worth it. You should get fired up like that more often, it was kinda hot.”

You almost choked on your sandwich, and playfully hit him on the chest, your face burning up.

Leo liked how nothing seemed to phase you and you were always down for anything and everything. Even some stuff he didn’t feel confident/comfortable doing.

But god forbid you ever became hangry.

One night, you and Leo were carrying back a pizza for dinner. You’d urged Leo not to drop it as you were basically starving and could feel your mood shift.

“Relax,” Leo drags out the “a”, “I’ve got this. You worry too much.”

Not even two seconds later, Leo drops the pizza box. Face down.

“Oh boy…” Leo grimaced, slowly turning his gaze toward you, offering a weak smile. “Don’t worry, you can run and get another …right?”

You stared at him, took a deep breath, turned around, and punched the ever-loving shit out of the brick sewer wall.

You accomplished two things:

You got all your anger out and persuaded Leo to be more careful with your food next time.

You broke your hand. Specifically two fingers and a dislocated wrist.

Leo helped wrap your injury as you cursed at yourself for being so stupid.

“What was I thinking? That was so dumb. Now I can’t even lift anything to my lips.” You said half-jokingly.

Leo smiled. “At least I know to keep you well fed.”

“Don’t say it like I’m some animal.”

You were almost the complete opposite of Raph.

Most of the time you spent with him you spent training or skateboarding or something of the sort. You were naturally hot-headed and not very friendly others.

Although, you always had a soft spot for Raph.

You never raised your voice to him or were ever mean to him.

When you were with Raph, you were extremely chill… until someone teased or threatened him.

While fighting a villain, the red clad turtle was struck in the face.

It didn’t hurt him, just disoriented him. But that didn’t matter to you.

Needless to say, you did a number on them and ultimately ended the fight. Your knuckles were a little bloody, though.

You were still angry and attempted to continue pummeling the villain, but Raph scooped you up and threw you over his shoulder.

“Woah there, firecracker.” The turtle chuckled as you struggled. “They’re down. Let’s get outta here.”

You grunted. “Lemme at ‘em! No one touches my American Snapper!”

Raph blushed as he laughed bashfully. “Aww, you tell ‘em, short stuff.”

Mikey

There was virtually nothing that could upset you.

That’s what drew Mikey to you.

You were a person who walked away from conflict rather than engaging with it. In fact, you were almost a doormat.

But there was something that you were very prideful and protective of: mugs.

When you were younger, your parents traveled a lot. Every time they would come back, they would bring a mug with the name of the place they visited and a unique design on it.

Since you didn’t see your parents that often, you held these mugs near and dear to your heart.

When Mikey came over, he accidentally knocked over a mug off the display rack, breaking off the handle.

“Shit! Motherfucker! God—dammit, Mike!” You quickly grabbed the mug and handle off the floor.

You took a tube of super glue out of the drawer and instantly started working to reattach the broken piece.

“I’m sorry, (Y/N).” Mikey spoke lowly, partially hiding his face in his shell.

You took a deep breath and gazed up at him. “It’s okay… it’s just… these are my parents’. I overreacted.” You held your arms out to him. “C’mere, you klutz.”

Mikey smiled as he approached you, enveloping you in a hug.

Donnie

You and Donnie were extremely alike in the since of science.

You both loved inventing and making like simpler through technology.

You were extremely passionate when it came to this, so when an experiment or invention failed, you became extremely angry.

One time, your invention basically exploded right in front of your face. This meant that you would have to start all over because all the electronics were fried.

“Shit! Motherfucking bitch!” You swore as you threw the failed invention to the side and banged your fist against the desk.

Donnie, who was sat next to you, jumped slightly. “That doesn’t sound good.”

“No, it’s not fucking good! I have to redo all of this and find new materials and… ugh!” You seethed as you rested your head in your hands.

Donnie stared at you for a few seconds before going back into his supply closet and pulling out the materials you needed.

“New materials like this?” He handed you the supplies.

“That’s sweet, Don, but I’ll buy my own.”

“No, no,” Donnie urged, “I insist. I don’t like seeing you frustrated.”

You sat up and took the materials from the turtle. “Thank you…” you smiled up at him.

hello! obsessed with your fusion au, the designs are so good! i love how the way the fusions speak is such a perfect mix of both voices, you’ve got the characters down so well. also what pronouns do the fusions use? i’ve seen some people use he, but it looks like you only use they/them for them? swag either way (curious in case i want to write them!) very excited for the donnie raph fusion and the donnie mikey fusion, that’ll be a fun pair to combine (important are galileos eyebrows real or not)

galileo- i use mainly they/them, but i think he/they also vibes parmigianino- he/him but frequently uses we/our for himself in a host kind of way lol angelico- he/her, and uses third person about as often as raph does caravaggio- he/him, also uses third person sometimes but its mainly accidentally calling himself raph or leo and confusing himself LOL

(and also while we're here, these guys!) don+raph- it/its, but rarely refers to itself as an individual don+mikey- any/all, i think!

I really love how well you’ve written one and two, like they’re different from Leo and Donnie because of how they grew up but it’s still incredibly in character, like they are how rise!donnie and Leo would be if they’d grown up like that.

I’ve been wondering if things were reversed and it was the twins that got saved by yoshi and it was Raph and Mikey raised by Draxum (let’s call them three and four because while I know they’d probably be one or two that’s too confusing lol) how do you think you’d write them? Or design them? (If you’re ever interested in drawing/thinking about it for that much lol no pressure)

Like where would three and four be similar to how you’ve written one and two? And how would they be completely different based on the canon personalities?

Ooh, that's a really good question. I've never thought about it before but I'd really love to work through this scenario.

If Draxum raised Raph and Mikey, I think his principles would be pretty similar. He would want to raise Raph and Mikey as soldiers, not as his own children.. but, to be honest.. I think Mikey would soften him up a little bit. Draxum probably wouldn't be as strict with Raph and Mikey as he was with Leo and Donnie. In this case, Draxum raises Raph and Mikey practically the same way, but he's a lot more lenient and patient.

Draxum would've guided Raph towards the leader role, but I think he would've trained them somewhat equally, unlike with One and Two.

I can see Raph being this outwardly calm and collected leader, who internally has absolutely no idea what he's doing and has a dash of rage issues when provoked. Unlike EMD Raph, he'd probably be less protective of Mikey just because he knows that he's capable of protecting himself.

As for the sweet little orange angel, I can imagine Mikey being a little unhinged and chaotic who can only be tamed by Raph. He's got a very unique and unpredictable fighting style and is probably a lot more reckless. He's an adrenaline junkie and lives off of danger. He's not afraid of anything, except losing the people that he loves.

I'm not quite sure about their designs, but maybe I'll take some time to think about it and experiment with it. I'm loving this spin-off au already lol.

I know this is mainly ab Raph and Mikey but I'm gonna talk about Leo and Donnie too.

I think Leo and Donnie would've learned how to take care of/look out for each other if they were raised by Splinter. Not that One and Two don't, it's just in a very different way. Without them being categorized into ranks and because there's no pressure from Draxum, Leo and Donnie can learn how to love each other without feeling inferior or like anything is expected of them. There's nothing keeping them from having a good relationship with each other. There probably wouldn't be an "older" twin, they'd treat each other as equals. It'd be so cool actually if they were both vigilantes and fought crime side-by-side. They are both leaders and just an amazing and iconic duo. When they find out about Raph and Mikey, it would go a lot differently. For the most part, I can see both Leo and Donnie/Raph and Mikey wanting to be one family, but I think there would be more hesitance with Raph and Donnie. Donnie, because hey these guys work for BARON DRAXUM of all people and Raph, because hey we should probably listen to Dad. But mainly what's stopping them from merging their families is Draxum and Splinter. Draxum wants all 4 turtles for himself, so that he can destroy the humans and Splinter wants all 4 of his sons and he won't let Draxum take them away again.

I think it'd be pretty funny if this au was basically just one huge parent trap and/or the four brothers trying to keep Draxum and Splinter from finding out the other set of brothers exist because then a war would break out between them.

That's all the ideas I have for now, not sure if I'll flesh it out more but this was really fun to think about. I'm kinda loving this idea and it could be a really fun au of the au lol

Okay, character development wise, YES. I’ve been rewatching the entire 2003 series for the past few weeks, watching little at a time, and I really see the changes in Leo. I love it. And I love him fr fr

I think his personality is really strong! He has more substance to him and really is a great version of Leo!

Design wise, not much to go off? I think the white film for eyes for the turtles is actually a great touch for this installment, so brownie points for that (:

like his personality???? I love it. He’s not some stressed out mf turtle who tries to be Mr. Perfect all the time. He actually has SUBSTANCE. I live for it.

His design is rly nice! I noticed that his eyes are more slanted than his brothers, and his blue eyes are the cutest yall.

As for character development, one of the best aside from 2003 leonardo, I loved his growth from a nervous leader to a more confident one who knows he can get shit done!!!

Idk something about this Leo rubs me the wrong way personality wise? Like this version of Leo and the 2007 Leo both said some shit that seemed so not him given the situation?

He knew how much being human meant to Raph and Mikey but immediately said that their opinions didn’t matter, only his. Which I really didn’t like, it made me hate him a lil LMAO

Whilst 2007 Leo said he was better than Raph, which I feel like 2012 and 2003 Leo would never ever say out loud. I didn’t like that at all from bay Leo & 2007 Leo

Character development…meh. It’s a movie, it moves quick. I WISH we got a 3rd movie but Yk 😐😐😐my opinion may be different

As for design, this might be what saves him LMAO

I love love LOVE the tattoos on the brothers, & I like that Leo has the most! Not only that, but they kept him with blue eyes! THANK YOU.

I also like his lil fit, I’m (very) happy they decided to put clothes on the turtles. It seems more natural. Of course they’d wear clothes when outside, they’d probably feel naked without it.
