the inspiration behind this idea came from one of my favorite vocaloid songs from back in the day. rediscovering the song gave me some great inspo. the songs is about gukapo, whose likely playing a character for the purpose of this song, the purple haired man in the thumbnail, who sees a girl he’s immediately enamored with after she runs into him at a party. after following her out of the venue, he sees her with another man and kidnapped her. her holds her captive and later kills her lover. at the end of sing, she rejects his advances and it’s implied he hurts or kills her. I love vocaloid :)) at one point in the songs he's like "i'll just cut off your legs so you can't run from me" and that screams barb. dark vocaloid is one of my fav genres

had a tough time picking between belphie or barb, but you guys decided for me!!

quick warning! the beginning of the song is a little loud and scared me the first time I listened. it’s just some rain and glass breaking but just know not to have it too loud if you do listen. also general warnings of yandere themes, kidnapping, bodily harm to both parties involved, and blood.

Destiny

"You didn't notice? It has been written in the stars that we were to be together since the beginning of time. It's just a shame we faced so many 'bumps in the road,' on our journey where our paths converged to one, as he always put it."

It wasn’t supposed to be this way, and he knew it.

You’d noticed his gradual changes in behavior. At first, it was nothing to you. Finding excuses to see you throughout the day with small tokens of his affection, and brief moments spend hidden in closest together to avoid being seen by Lucifer or Diavolo that turned into more, despite the fact that he had no need to hide from them. You suspected he treasured these moments, just like you did, so who were you to object? He treated you like the crown jewels, and you weren't even certain he was this close to Diavolo.

His obsession gradually grew slowly, and you were none the wiser, like a frog set in a pot of water that had yet to be turned to boil. "It was just Barbatos being Barbatos" you thought as he began to show up in your room any night you weren't staying at a palace with treats made specially for you. "It's just because he cares" you thought as he started to fend off demons he deemed as untrustworthy in all parts of your life. "He's so sweet" you thought as he began blocking off portions of his day for time with you, and only you. "He must really care! I'm so lucky to have him in my life." These thoughts are exactly what he had intended to plant into your head all along.

Unbeknownst to you, despite his signature air of indifference, Barbatos had been taken with you from the start. He had hoped you'd come to live with him in the palace, but unfortunately, the Young Master has wanted you with the brothers instead. It wasn't a problem, however. He made sure to make an effort to make his way into your life even if it was somewhere he didn't belong. Despites his efforts though, you grew much too close to Solomon for his liking. He often opted to go out of his way to separate the two of you, so he could keep you all for himself.

But what did that damned sorcerer have that he didn't? His humanity. Although it was long gone, he knew what it was like to be human. The thought of this infuriated Barbatos. The fact that something as simple as human mortality was keeping him away from Mc absolutely would not do. Of course, it wasn't something he couldn't fix. His hatred for the

He could just swap to the timeline where he was the apple of their eye, without all the playful dancing around what he so desperately wished for, but where was the fun in that? Good things came to those who waited. He of all demons would know. Besides, it would bring him great joy to make Solomon suffer. He was nothing but trouble and Barbatos would revel in his absence.

The way Solomon swept you off your feet in a way he just couldn't almost made him drop his facade several times. The moments the two of you had shared in the broom closets now became you and Solomon vanishing when he came searching for you. You were at the House of Lamentation less frequently, and were always out with that human. When you two finally made it official, and began dating, he knew Solomon had tried his best to keep the news from reaching his ears. But nothing escaped Barbatos, not when it was about you. He always thought it was ironic his favorite and least favorite human had found their way together, but it was just a road bump, as he heard Solomon refer to his problems. Barbatos always thought it was annoying.

After lots of meticulous planning, he finally decided he was ready to have you all to himself. He was done sharing what was rightfully his with Solomon. He called you, saying it was urgent and that you needed to come over to the palace right away. After saying something about how it concerned your family and that you were to come alone, he set his D.D.D. down and waited. He knew you would have told Solomon, or whoever you happened to be with, which would give them the excuse he needed to get you away from the others.

When you showed up, he invited you into his room with little words. It was strange of him to be so silent. He also had his usual, sweet smile on his face, but it seemed more intense that usual. You just couldn't understand how he looked so calm when he'd had a sense of urgency in his voice not even ten minutes ago when you'd spoken to him on the phone. After you stepped into his room, he closed the door behind you, and shut the lights off. You'd never been more terrified of the demon you'd come to love.

Before you knew it, you were waking up in a human sized cage in the corner of Barbatos' room you hadn't noticed when you'd entered. Besties being locked inside, there was also an ornate choker around your neck you could only describe as a collar. After sitting up, you began to look around for Barbatos. As you searched, he emerged from dark spot in the room, the same intense grin on his face from earlier.

"Barb? What's the matter?" You placed both hands on the bars and squeezed.

"Nothing, my love." He took a seat on his bed, and just started at you, unblinking.

"Can you please let me out then? Don't we have to go see my family? If they need my help, I want to be there for them." You got to your feet, only to hit your head on the ceiling of the cage.

"You're best kept here, where you're safe and away from Solomon." His eye twitched slightly at the name of your lover.

"Open the door. Barbatos, this isn't funny." You tried to shake the bars, trying to find the Barbatos you'd loved. He just stared. It was beginning to get very creepy. "Please. I don't like this. What have I done?"

"Nothing, and that's precisely it, dear. You're too precious for this world, and I've decided it's best you stay here, with me. Where better for you to be?" He finally blinked, and the gentle smile you knew well returned. For a moment, you thought the joke had finally ended, and he was about to open to cage door to let you know it was all for a surprise. But, he didn't. Instead, he got up and walked towards his door. Before he left, he spun back around to speak to you a final time. "I'll be back later with dinner. Sit tight, and I'll answer more of your questions later." He opened the door just enough to leave, and slipped out.

You were alone. You knew better than anyone else that his room was soundproofed, and that screaming was pointless. You tried to escape for what felt like hours and cried for some portion of that too. Nothing you tried worked, even summoning any of the brothers with your pact. Did he always want to just keep you in the corner of his room, like some trinket, from the very beginning? You had millions of questions.

When he returned with a plate of food, like he'd promised, you didn't know how long it had been. Your back was to the door, tears caked on your face. "My darling, I brought dinner, like I promised." You didn't want or feel like moving to face him.

"Why?" Your voice was raw, and you weren't sure if you were more upset about the seeming betrayal, or the treatment you were receiving, as if nothing was wrong.

'Why? I thought I told you this. You know how much I hate redundance." The loving lilt in his voice dropped.

"You lied to me. To think I ever loved you." You whipped your head around to meet his gaze, letting the emotions seep their way into your words. He looked more dull and empty than you'd ever seen him. He didn't respond. He moved towards the cage, causing you to scoot back, suddenly afraid.

"I know you tried to escape. I don't appreciate that, love. That's what the point of your necklace is. I work quite hard on that." He opened the door and yanked you towards him by your ankles, causing you to fall flat on your face. In his other hand, he held a knife you'd never seen before.

"What the hell are you doing? Put that away." You kicked your legs, but he and his gaze remained unwavering. He rested the knife on your knee joint, and slid his gloved hand up your leg so his thumb rested next to the blade. It was a touch that was all too familiar. He seemed to feed of your fear, and a small smile grew on his face.

"If you apologize right now, I'll have no reason to cut your legs off." You could feel the blood draining from your face. He'd never been violent with you before, but you knew he could if he wanted to. "Well? I haven't got all day."

"I- I'm sorry, Barb. Please put the knife away." You're relieved at how his expression softens and how his hands slide back down to your ankles. However, much to your surprise, he slashes the bottoms of your feet with the knife before letting go of your legs suddenly. Your scream was equally one of pain and shock. Blood began to pour out of the cut. You cradled your legs closer to yourself, now facing him as he turned around to get the first aid kit he happened to have on hand.

"You won't be going anywhere now, will you?" He hummed as he pressed a cloth around your feet to stop the bleeding. You could only stare at him in horror as he tended to the wounds he'd created. "You can sleep with me in my bed tonight. I'm sorry, but it had to be done. I can't have you leaving me." He smiled as he would at the Little D's but you would never see it the same again.

As the days went by, you began to wonder just how much of the outside life you were missing. What where they doing in RAD? How long did they expect you to be gone? Did Solomon miss you? Your only company was the soft pulsing of the portals that were somewhere nearby when Barbatos wasn't in the room. The only way to tell what time of day it was, or how much time had passed was the routine meals he brought to you like clockwork. He would consistently mention, especially nightly when he would drag you out of the cage to bed with him, about how this is how things were meant to be, and that how this was your mutual destiny. He'd never mentioned that before, but now it seemed like it was all he wanted to talk about. It was strange, but if he was happy, you could’ve cared less. Most of the time, you just remained silent, unless he directly inquired you. He was his charming self again, with the empty Barbatos returning rarely. He’d broken your trust, but didn’t seem to care. He treated you just like he had before you got with Solomon, like the days where the two of you acted like children with crushes on each other. He wanted to go back to the days of chaste kisses and long nights together, but you couldn’t get past what he’d done. You never tried to refute his claims, but deep down, it disgusted you.

He didn’t hurt you too badly, or too often, but that didn’t take away from the constantly fear. Seemingly, if he felt like it, he’d get the knife back out and threaten you with it in a very violet way, before only minorly hurting you compared to what he’s just threatened to do. Once, he said he was going to stab both of your eyes out if you didn’t stop crying so much, becuase he hated seeing you upset. Instead, after you promised to stop, he danced his blade on your face and left some minor injuries. The entire time, one of his hands was on your chin and he was looking directly into your eyes. At one point, he even threatened to carve his name into your neck so you’d never forget who he thought you belonged to. Sometimes, you thought he enjoyed seeing you suffering more than just physically, because he'd keep your D.D.D. charged and leave it in your sights while he was gone. You could see all the texts and incoming calls, but powerless to respond, just to let them know you were in their backyard. Solomon called the most, but your group chat with the brothers seemed to continue as normal.

After another afternoon of tears while Barbatos was gone, he returned earlier than expected, leaving you no time to clear up your tears. Without any words, he dropped something next to you. Through tears, you tried to make out what he'd dropped. When you looked up, you saw him expectantly smiling down at you. You looked back down to try and figure out what he'd left. You grabbed it through the bars, studying it.

"He's finally out of the way, dear. You don't need him. That wretched sorcerer only caused us problems. You were happy with me, so you can be happy with me again." With horror, you realized you were holding a fragment of Solomon's wand. The very same wand that been the source of many of your problems, but also love, together. You'd polished it many times. The piece you were holding was part of the tip where the cute star rested.

Barbatos knelt down beside you to open the door, but you didn't move. But you had finally had it with him. You almost didn't want to know what he did to your lover and refused to even think about the possibilities. Gripping the wand piece in one hand, you balled up the other and socked Barbatos as hard as you could in the face. You hit the center of his face, and he stumbled back a little. He touched his nose gently with his hand, and both of you saw the blood trickling down onto his white glove. You made eye contact, and you saw the sweet Barbatos leave you along with any ounce of courage you'd mustered up to do that, for Solomon.

Nobody ever did see you, or Solomon again.

SMG4: CEO OF RIZZ

To where you needed an alternative title, "Boopkins needs some Rizz"

HGG OKAY.... SO... first off I just WOKE up. And our usual spot again is that the coffee shop keeps appearing in the episodes.

(Cough- Brewing Romance is still on the line so when you keep seeing the coffee shop getting shown by the episodes, you'll be darned to not stop thinking about Brewing Romance...)

Three and kaizo are shown, which made it very clear that some of us headcanon three as an uncle and kaizo as the nephew XD

So boopkins has a date with this famous girl and three helps boopkins get his rizz in order to achieve his restaurant getting popular.

I somehow found this one very interesting, I mean- I wouldnt be a shock if it's miku already. Since somehow it's boopkins, and the girl he'd been the one to date are something from fictional stuffs. I never guessed miku but I guessed that it was some anime related.

Then we get- to see this...its a side to side comparisson of how four and three act alot like this when they needed something.

Here comes the begging strategy... so if you put two and two together, they ended up giving them what they wanted with the same "fine" to make that person shut up.

This also leads to how three is never that much aware that his actions in public is drawn attention that he is less destructful and is in his soft side.

Like how he did the same in SMG4 during that time before they both got stuck on an elevator? Three gave him a chance to stop his whining ass. Like he didn't even argue or straight up complained to the blue man, he just basically gave him what he wanted.

This portrays the same thing Miku does as she goes back and returns to the date she has with boopkins.

It'd be a shock if I were to say I weren't that much very cultured on anime stuff but Umaru used to be my favorite childhood show.

Its funny that miku has interests on being a fan of other animes since again- miku is a vocaloid character who sings songs out on public.

When boopkins gave out his moral lesson about "just you being you" and "you dont have to change who you are even tho you're not that much of a gigachad" or sh-t

Because we have three- WHO IS DEFINITELY DONE WITH HIS CRAP- I wouldn't be suprised to this honestly- we already know how SMG3 reacts when boopkins is there, and even with those comments about how he has beef with him about "boopkins bein a loser, he really thinks he's part of the crew"

We pretty much understand how Three isn't a much fan on fiction anime stuff or is even a weeb. Just by looks of Boopkins, he's the one who shows as an openly hearted and a very generous, loyal, kindest creature to have.

But three thinks it's a sh-t because no one else is perfect and that this doesnt matter too much at all to him since EVERYONE is broken enough already.

Which defines him as the emo person in question:

"What the hell is the meaning of life, when you know nothing ever changes shit with where we all still suffered?"

Three is just so desparate enough to run his business and would literally want its popularity get expanded for newcomers to try and welcome themselves from the cafe, mostly enough he'd do anything and EVERYTHING with this power.

That calls out for another hyperfixation.

I never have much to say in this but I somehow found the episode a bit on the neutral side between good or bad-

The episode is... well.... i dunno- interesting, but somehow with attempts on making boopkins "uncharacterize" himself to be a rizzler is weird, but this definitely shows why boopkins doesnt have that kind of rizz SMG3 has.

... *suddenly remembers SMG4 singing that gyatt to rizzler song*

AH-AHEHE-M UHH...

A-anyway- again- my point stands out that Three definitely haz rizz, and Four definitely is lying to the fact that he says he 'doesnt' during the elevator episode.

I'd think about wanting to put Three on a rizz attempt on four still XD (people are gonna go crazy on this)

Alright, so, sure, it wasn't very long ago that I covered a PSY rip, with The World Ends With PSY. But part of why I wanted to highlight that rip in particular other than to talk about The World Ends With You, was to showcase a rip that used PSY's music in an abnormal way for rips, using it in a way we don't really see much of nowadays. That isn't because The World Ends With PSY held some secret ingredient that no rip since has been able to capture, no no, quite the opposite - its because the style of PSY rips we've gotten for a majority of the channel's life, the ones like One Winged PSYcho - V.S. Sepsyrop, like Korean Idiot, and indeed like Psy's End Stylehall, are fucking bangers. PSY is at this point more than just an artist whose music can be made into fun mashups - PSY's vocals are an instrument in of themselves.

And like, I really, truly don't know enough about vocaloid or vocaloid music. I enjoy a Lagtrain from time to time, I love rips like Rolling Start and Willievan Afton Polkka, but its still a niche that's a fair bit out of my wheelhouse. Yet its these kinds of rips that all highlight, to a peasant like me, just what makes the scene tick - the sheer energy in a song like World's End Dancehall feels like the kind of thing you'd ONLY hear through the vocaloid scene. Yet in a way, it doesn't surprise me that I find the music so inherently appealing - it feels as if there's a fair bit of overlap in enjoyment between the art of high quality rips and the art of creating vocaloid music. Both fields are, in many cases, using something not meant to be an instrument, a noise turned music through pitch-shifting and other techniques, be that noise the voicebanks of a digital songstress, or the AHHs and EYYS of a South Korean pop artist. Hatsune Miku is everywhere, she is an instrument for artists to use more than she herself is an artist - yet all of the music featuring her vocals sounds so incredibly distinct from one another. Much the same, again, can be said for PSY.

Like, you'd think one would get tired of the guy after eight years of the same bit, after having annual PSY days where we get nothing BUT rips of the same PSY samples and sounds and bits. Yet each rip manages to sound different from the last, each rip able to find so much creativity in using the guy's vocal samples to ridiculous effect - and no matter how many years pass, Gangnam Style itself still bangs!! The amount of cool shit Psy's End Stylehall in particular does is just too much to list - the slight stuttering on the "Ga-Gangnam Style!!"'s in the song's intro, the constant yet unintrusive presence of Gangnam Style's backing instrumentation, the ways that PSY's vocals are used for both the backing AND the lead melody?? It's nutty, especially in music as chaotic in pace as that of wowaka's (who was also the artist behind Rolling Girl, paid tribute to in Rolling Start mentioned earlier). PSY rips didn't take long to be elevated above just standard mashup material on SiIva, and as late into the channel as Season 6, rippers like Eva Twin were still finding novel ways to use the man's voice.

Like, the way Gangnam Style's first verse vocals play in full at a pretty standard pace, only to suddenly be as if whisked away by World's End Dancehall picking up the pace at 0:49, raising the pitch in PSY's vocals, repeating a segment of the chorus over and over...or the way the chorus has PSY sing alongside his own "ops" repeating as a new form of percussion, on top of Gangnam Style's own instrumentation, on TOP of a layer of "Eyys" in the background - this is the kind of rip that I would just ADORE to see the inner workings of, just how many layers it must've taken to make such a full sound. And like, I've covered Eva Twin on here a good number of times, I still love I'll Face Gay Bowser to death, but Psy's End Stylehall is the kind of rip that leaves me outright amazed at how layered it all sounds. I need no attachment to vocaloid to know good music - and no amount of overexposure to PSY can make his rips any worse. Unfamiliarity and overfamiliarity meet in the middle for a rip I could almost recommend to anyone, a show of SiIvaGunner's sheer quality as of its most recent seasons, and a demonstration of just how deeply its team members care about music of all shapes and sounds.

Miku - Hoshi no Kakera

The song that started Miku's career, in my universe, this song also identifies a large part of what she was going through her head after entering as a Vocaloid. At first, she believed that she had a perfect life being a very studious and diligent girl in school, hoping to enter a prestigious university where, upon graduating, she would obtain a validly acclaimed profession. However...she didn't realize that by clinging to that single goal, she was being taken away from the world and was being led to a path of loneliness...but...the moment Miku discovered that has good skills in music (mainly in singing) and gained recognition from people, metaphorically speaking, she discovered that life is a starry sky: Even if you have a preferred goal, there are several options with which you are free to choose and you end up enjoying new experiences that did not add up within of your daily life. In short, Miku did not regret becoming the main face of Vocaloid as she enjoyed the company of the loyal friends of hers that she gained, but she will continue to be that nerdy girl, more open to socializing at least.

Rin - I Don’t Care (La La La)

For a very newest Rin song, I have to say that the first thing that came to mind was…this is a good combination of Rin's relationship with Aiko along how I represents herself as a person. It could be interpreted that this is a letter from her to Aiko, having always been a controlling motherly figure, who did not let her do what she wanted and when it revealed was a woman who took Rin away to mistreat her for being daughter of someone she hated, made her more against Aiko. That's why it was a big sigh to have several things that favored Rin’s life: that Len and Ringo since they genuinely loved her without being biologically part of the family, that Vocaloid was for Rin and Len a way out of their depressingly controlled life, and that Ringo took matters into his own hands by divorcing Aiko with the possibility of never seeing that evil woman. Added to the fact that the rhythm and melody of the song represents the personality that characterizes her, a rebellious, energetic girl willing to start a life from scratch in Vocaloid with the company of Len, that is why I said at the beginning that this song adds both factors that I have created for Rin.

Len - For The Better

This was a difficult search...since when I think about Len, the option gives controversial and very strange songs that I understood that I couldn't get something out of them in relation to how he is presented in my hcs, I know that not all of his songs are like that and this is an exception to the rule. As I listened to the song until the end, I understood that it refers more to a story of failed love...but I have to admit that the title, with a large part of the first verse fits well, because it was thanks to Len who gave opportunities for Rin to win her affection again and give her freedom from his oppressive mother. It is understood that in the eyes of a younger Len, he believed lived a happy (although not satisfied) life in his childhood, but after investigating more about how Aiko mistreated Rin and the truth was discovered in the eyes of both, he went through a reality breakdown. Until today, after knowing that they would have the opportunity to audition for Vocaloid, he clearly had it clear "Maybe it's for the better" and make the right decision with the luck of ending up there starting a new life and relationship together, from scratch.

Luka - Yakusoku

To be one of my favorite Loids and to know a variety of songs...it was difficult to find one that fit with Luka in my hcs. The song can be said to have almost the same meaning as the previous one with Len, but here with the only difference that it is referring to a melancholic farewell to someone she loved...and if it could refer to anyone, in my case, it would be Luka expressing the pain of losing her mother, Alice. The two of them were the inseparable mother and daughter duo, having each other to support and love each other, having all those years in childhood where she knew her mother perfectly, her tastes, her passions, her dreams come true, all of that was transferred to little Luka who, over time and after Alice's death, ended up growing to continue her legacy (a couture designer with a fashion brand company). Clearly, she would have her own identity without being an entire emphasis on her mother, but it would be these data with which, in some way, spiritually speaking, she feel as close as if they were the same being, Luka will have her mother cherish her forever, trying to see her memories with Alice into something that motivates her.

Kaito - Attakaito

Not every song I choose should be associated with the Eightloids’ stories, right? This being the case, I chose this song more than anything because it perfectly identifies with how I have Kaito in my hcs. Always being a smiling and positive boy who sees the good side of all bad things, but in a certain way also senses them as something everyday normal in life, it is okay to have bad experiences, as long as they do not affect you at all (well, when are serious cases...I wouldn't know how to describe it there...). The point is that: if you feel sad or low spirits, Kaito will be there to give you a smile, engage in a pleasant conversation with you and even give you an innumerable amount of ice cream. There really isn't anything to deeply highlight this song with his past, other than that he learned to enjoy a good life with his loved ones, even if certain things worked against Kaito, not everything, but he does recognize that the Life is full of surprises and alternate directions for anyone, I honestly get lost in what I'm describing, haha.

Meiko - Awaken Lights

This song could represent several things, in terms of relating it to my Meiko’s hcs, I denote how she feels peacefully about to live happily and proudly being herself. Felt oppressed by how her parents wanted to turn her into something she never wanted, at first Meiko may have a slight habit of being a soft girl who wins prizes for being an “adorable doll” but as time went by she noticed the cost, therefore she was tired of carrying that image before her parents. When it came to revealing in her reckless adolescent stage, she did not feel good about herself either, although, in those years, Meiko managed to meet her first two inseparable mutuals, she understood that the attitude of a poorly behaved girl at school did not make her proud while she was growing up. But it was definitely when she discovered her passion for music that she stayed with, being the Meiko that everyone knows, always willing to fight for what she wants and that no one opposes her, in fact, Meiko was reborn with new identities until the real arrived and bathed her in this “hopeful light” with which she ended up identifying as a person.

Gumi - Difficult Love

Is a curious case, since it barely has to do with Gumi's past, the reason why I chose this song is more due to a slight arc that I have with her: feelings based on a supposed "secret admirer." I have already told it in previous posts in this account, and for the first time it was introduced in this comic I made. But, how can I watch this song with everything that involves Gumi in my hcs? In a way, ever since she started searching for that admirer, she felt so confused and with mixed feelings, did anyone out there really love her? Or was it just a bad joke? This is where her insecurities return, since in her past, Gumi was almost not accepted, because of her freckles and her current concern about her weight and figure, if she had the opportunity to propose to that admirer…He really going to correspond her? I think that's where the idea of what I'm talking about. Add to the fact that Gumi was previously attracted to her best friend from childhood, Yuuma, which left her upset, wondering whether or not she was properly in love with the admirer or him…until the mystery was stirred and from there she left her worries, she always in love with Yuuma, her secret admirer.

Gakupo - Eternal Feel

As with Gumi's case, this song fuses what Gakupo went through in his past along with the feelings he has for his lover, Luka. In this song, he poetically portrays the thoughts he has with life and the environment that surrounds him...yeah, Gaku is very depressed and lonely soul...considering that he grew up in a toxic environment due to the relationship he had with his father and letting was trampled at school, it was until Gakupo was the one who threatened, plus discovering the reality that Ronin was hiding from him, made his mind close up and his heart grow cold. But it was the day he met Luka that everything would change, even if it was just a simple meeting one afternoon, having the company of that sweet girl marked him for life, forced to admit it, but of course, she was his first friend, nothing wrong with that. And when they were now reunited with both of them already grown up, she transformed into a true lady who wanted to see him again, the time in which they lived together continued to pass and it reached a certain point in which Gakupo fell in love with Luka, always wanting to have her company as she longed for it with him.

Milgram Prisioner Covers Prediction List

So. I've been listening to some of DECO's older songs these past few days, some of which I hadn't heard before, and I wanted to try and take a shot on future Milgram Covers! (this list will be so wrong i'll be ashamed of this 2 yrs from now) (Also like. Don't think this had a 10 month research period. I'm not a professional lyricist or literary analyst guy or anything. I literally did this during the weekend while procrastinating for uni assignments.) There is a TLDR at the end for the lazy kings (you guys are so real for that tbh)

01 - Undead Alice

I don't really have a reason for it, I really just feel like it makes a good fit. Yeah, the lyrics are about a toxic relationship, but the way the song is written reminds me a lot about Haruka and his negative view about himself (which may become worse after a Guilty vote).

02 - Rabbit Hole

This song is fits so well with Yuno. It really feels like it's mocking love and romance, especially the superficial ones where it's all just "corny" and "cliché", which is really in-line with Yuno's character. Also it would be so good. Just imagine Rabbit Hole with the Vampire cover's yoinky sploinky cartoony sounds.

03 - 118

This one I'm not that certain of, I guess it fits with Futa becoming more aware and remorseful of what he did and ending up spiting who he associated with. Also, I really think it would fit his songs' style of a more rock-punk vibe. Futa's covers are actually kind of hard to predict to be honest, even today I woudn't think about him covering Mozaik Role, but here we are.

04 - Ghost Rule

I'm pretty sure Ghost Rule will be covered by one of the prisioners, since it's kind of a Vocaloid classic (and also really good it will be such a win for Muu-stans if this becomes real). I felt like it goes well with Muu's character, with her acting superior and snobby in school and later becoming a bullying victim, a "ghost", as a consequence. If she covers this, then maybe in T3 she regrets what she did and how she acted?

05 - Cosmic Rendesvouz

Yeah this one came out a few days ago, and is what inspired me to make this list. It's just. Made for Shidou. The mourning? The wanting to reunite with his wife on the after-life? THE HOLOGRAPHIC GHOST-MEMORY-THINGS? So Shidou-core. I know a lot of people pointed this out, but some scenes felt so much like Triage. Anyways, this song screams "I'm Shidou and I'm very sad" in the best way possible. Next.

06 - Zombies

This one is less like a guess and more like a PLEASE I NEED THIS SO BAD. This fits SO WELL with the toxic girlfriend and abusive relationship. Her wanting to be with the lover forever, leading to him passing away, fits so well. Also, Okasaki Miho would simply SLAY SO MUCH.

07 - We The Hostages

Kazui is difficult. A lot of DECO's songs are about bad/distasteful relationships, so I felt like there were a lot of options. I chose this one mostly because the lyrics can be interpreted as a person who doesn't love their partner anymore, and wants to let it all go, as the relationship was bad for both. Also the wife is gone apparently.

08 - Winter Cleaning(????)

Amane is actually the main boss of this prediction list because like. She will cover ANIMAL. I still think it'll be good, actually so happy for the Amane-stans out there, but it was just. One of the most jaw-dropping cover choices from the entire project for me. ANYTHING is possible from now on. I guess Winter Cleaning makes sense if she goes to therapy and recovers from Her Current Behaviour™, as in like, cleaning her mindspace and taking out the bad memories and such, but this is really a shot in the dark.

09 - (Not) A Devil

Another one that's more of a wish than a prediction (and also kind of fanservice-y?). The lyrics are like an angel and a devil on an argument, so it would be cool if we had both Ore-Mikoto and Boku-Mikoto singing as the angel and the devil. Also the song kind of fits his heavy-metal song style.

09 - Theory of Negativity

Aha, two songs for Mikoto! That's because his T2 cover was not revealed yet! Anyway, it's a song about breakups I think (as are a lot of them actually), but the lyrics talk about hating the partner, wanting to change one's self, a lot of self-doubt, and it kind of fits with Mikoto's struggles on having DID.

10 - Reversible Campaing

This is one I'm really hoping for. The style of the song fits her themes and styles so much. I don't think the lyrics fit 100% for her, as they are about (guess it) a toxic relationship (!?!), but so was Anti-Beat and that cover was great so who cares.

10 - Dilemma

Kotoko will also have two predictions! This one is more on the aesthetics of the song and the MV, and also because it can kind of being interpreted as her saying how much justice she did ("Don't play arround, how much I've done for you, you probably don't even want to know").

HONORABLE MENTIONS

-I could very easily switch Reversible Campaign and 118, these songs are good for both Futa and Kotoko -I also thought about Cinderella for Muu, but it came as a song about being insecure, while currently Muu is like. The opposite. -Love Doll would also fit with Mahiru, and her wanting to spend every second with her partner -I was so close to chosing A Bird's Song for Kazui, but We The Hostages made more sense. -Addiction can fit with Mikoto because of the beat, but the lyrics didn't make that much sense in character. -Also I can kind of see Pseudo-Hope Syndrome fitting well for Mikoto

Intro

Hi! Making a little introduction for my blog <3

You can call me Ruby. I’m 19 years old, I use she/her pronouns and I’m a lesbian. I’m also neurodivergent (though for privacy reasons I won’t be indicating exactly what I have). I speak both Spanish and English (with Spanish being my native tongue). I love Hazbin Hotel and this blog is entirely dedicated to this show that has taken over my life. I watched the pilot in the summer of 2020 so I’ve been here for a long while, but I didn’t get properly obsessed until the show released :)

As one could have imagined seeing my icon, header, username, blog description and general posts, I love chaggie so much, they're my favourite part of the show (as characters and as a ship). I do love the rest of the show too, they’re just my faves.

My favorite characters are, in order: Vaggie, Charlie (very unexpected top 2 I know /s, I love them <33), Lute, Emily (my other two faves!!!), Velvette, Carmilla, Rosie, Niffty and sir Pentious. That being said, I like almost every character. Though I mainly talk about Charlie and Vaggie because #brainrot, you may expect any other character too, specially the aforementioned.

Chaggie is my absolute OTP and around 80% of my posts will be about them. Some other pairings I also love are emilute, fallenwings, huskerdust, guitarspear, royalhalo, velmilla, zestmilla, qpr poly!!Vees, qpr radiorose and cherrisnake. I adore the idea of Charlie's angels as an OT4 because I love throwing all my favorite characters into a ship and imagining the chaos that would follow 👍🏻

I tend to tag absolutely every character and ship I post/reblog about, so if anything here makes you uncomfortable don't hesitate to blacklist it :)

I'm interested in many other things, namely Project Sekai!, BanG Dream!, D4DJ, Love Live!, Vocaloid (specially the Evillious Chronicles series and the Night∞Series), Helluva Boss, RWBY, Red vs. Blue, She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, The Dragon Prince, The Owl House, Steven Universe, Avatar: The Last Airbender, The Legend of Korra, Five Nights at Freddy's, Monster High, Ever After High, Rainbow High, Madoka Magica, Kakegurui, Danganronpa, Your Turn To Die, Sanrio, Cookie Run, Heathers, Les Miserables, etc. I'm not completely up to date with all these things though, uni sucks. I might make another blog to talk about this stuff eventually but I'd want to keep this blog focused on Hazbin!

I don't tend to do DNIs because I understand bigots don't tend to respect them, but well, if you're someone that discriminates others on the basis of anything and I find out, I'll block you. When it comes to Hazbin Hotel, I don't want to interact with you if you ship Valentino X Angel, Lucifer or Lilith X Charlie, Vaggie X men or Angel X women, those things really make me uncomfortable.

As a note, I’m extremely anxious and shy, so it’s difficult for me to DM people first, but I assure you I’m nice and if you wanna chat I’m extremely down for it! Please let’s talk about our favorite characters and ships and plot points and moments pspsps or even things outside Hazbin Hotel, whatever you want :)

"Ditto" & "Melty Land Nightmare": Allegories for Idol/Fan Relationships.

TLDR: "Ditto" by Newjeans and "Melty Land Nightmare" by More More Jump are about the way parasocial relationships can be toxic to both fans and content creators (in this case, idols). While "Ditto" encourages fans to look outside of the escapism of K-pop for happiness, "Melty Land Nightmare," when covered by More More Jump, encourages idols to not sacrifice their own happiness and well-being simply to fulfill the heavy expectations of being an idol (i.e. bringing happiness to their fans).

"Ditto" is sung by Newjeans, a K-pop group known for their youthful charm and y2k aesthetic. The music video features the Newjeans girls as typical Korean middle school students, laughing and dancing and going to school until it is revealed, in the end, that they never existed. "Melty Land Nightmare" is by Harumaki Gohan, a Japanese VOCALOID producer whose songs have vague but intriguing storylines. This one is about an unhappy human girl (i.e. Blue Girl) struggling with nightmares and a half-human, half-baku girl named Melty who consumes her dreams and brings her comfort.

While "Ditto" is clearly about the parasocial relationship between idols and fans--with Newjeans encouraging their fans to enjoy real life instead of relying on the escapism of K-pop for temporary happiness--"Melty Land Nightmare" is not. I would argue that "Melty Land Nightmare" does not at all have anything to do with idols, actually, unless you play Project Sekai.

More More Jump, the cutesy idol group of Project Sekai, covers a wide range of Vocaloid songs, from uplifting ones like "Happy Synthesizer" to sadder ones like "Shoujo Rei." "Melty Land Nightmare" is a song that sounds pretty but, once you look at the lyrics, turns out to be kind of sad, much like another MMJ cover that I really love (i.e. "Patchwork Staccato").

When viewed in the context of More More Jump, "Melty Land Nightmare" has a similar tone to "Ditto": From the way Melty checks in with Blue Girl about her nightmares ("Did your mother say something to you? Was somebody in class cold to you?") to the way she holds the Blue Girl close, it is clear that Melty is a place of escapism for Blue Girl. Just like Ban Heesoo, the main character of "Ditto", would rather spend all her days recording videos of the Newjeans girls instead of living in reality, Blue Girl visits Melty every night to avoid real life. Both of these scenarios show that parasocial relationships, when taken to the extreme, can be unhealthy. This is why the Newjeans girls disappear at the end of "Ditto" - because they are just idols, just people, and they cannot be your reason for living.

"Melty Land Nightmare" is a fitting allegory for More More Jump because when Blue Girl disappears from Melty Land, having been cured of nightmares, Melty falls apart. She begs Blue Girl not to forget her as if she has no purpose now that Blue Girl is gone. Unlike the Newjeans girls' casual acceptance (and encouragement!) that they cannot be your reason to live, the MMJ girls struggle (at least initially) with not being your reason to live. From Haruka quitting ASRUN when she fails to save a teammate, Shizuku leaving Cheerful*days due to toxic competitiveness, and Airi being told she'll only make it big on variety shows, all three girls give up their dreams when they realize that they are not enough--not enough to save their Blue Girl, or worse, enough to save the Blue Girl but not enough to keep her around.

In our digital age, it's hard to not care about what people think. We are obsessed with the likes, comments, and reblogs on our posts, obsessed with being loved by strangers on the internet. While Haruka, Shizuku, and Airi's original purpose of being idols are noble (i.e. inspiring hope for others), it becomes convoluted due to the bureaucracy, politics, and jealousy of the idol industry. Plagued with imposter syndrome and guilt, these former idols stay disillusioned until they met their own idol: Minori, a former Blue Girl on a mission to become Melty. She inspires Haruka to become an idol again not by asking her to save someone else, but by showing her an ocean of blue, which reminds Haruka acutely of her original mission and how much she loves performing. And that, my friends, is how More More Jumps thrives: Outside of the system as freelance idols, where their mission is always clear, always real. Where bringing hope to others depends heavily on bringing hope to themselves.

First things first, you are a reeeallly great writer. Like, the way you write Nightcord at 25:00 is so interesting, yet so believable as something conjured up by Colorful Palette. (Or whoever develops the game idk) You have a really nice talent. :)

Anyway and now an actual prompt uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh we haven’t done vocaloids yet so, how about

(Miku x Concerned Reader) You wonder how someone is able to spend lots of time in a lonely Sekai by just singing with nothing and no one insight (most of the time). You determined that it isn’t possible, and that Hatsune Miku needs some toys and doo-hickeys. STAT.

Ahaha... Gosh, these praises are so nice... Although I don't think it's that good, I'm glad that my writing is being received so well! Guess I have to keep it up, huh? Also bless N25 Miku, Caw.

No matter how many times you visited the sekai, you couldn't get used to the emptiness of it... There was nothing to do, nothing to look at, and almost nothing to listen to! If it weren't for the connection to music that this place had, you might have been genuinely creeped out by the thought of staying here!

So that's why you felt a little sorry for the lonely vocaloid that seemed to wander the empty void, with only songs and irregular visits to distract her... It you were in her place, you would've gone insane a long time ago, yet she seemed so content with her everyday life... Or was she? She tried to calm your worries anytime the topic was brought up, yet you had a nagging feeling that this wasn't as simple as she made it seem...

Eventually, your worries got the best of you, and you decided to give her a little something to satisfy boredom; a classic jigsaw puzzle! You entered the sekai, quickly finding Miku there; sitting on top of those weird, pyramid like things that emerged from the ground, and staring off into the distance, like always.

When you showed off the gift that was in your hands, she tilted her head to the side in confusion. You were giving her her a gift? Why her? Also, what was it? It wasn't a music disk, was it? You slowly but surely answered every question she came up with, sitting now next to her as you gave her a slight head start on the puzzle!

After some explanation which she listened to carefully and with eyes slightly sparkling with interest, she understood and started placing each piece, slowly but surely, in their proper place. It was quite big, so it would entertain her for a while! At least, you hoped. She suddenly started playing soft music, singing along as a small smile appeared on her face. You could now exit the sekai with the satisfaction of a job well done!

Thankfully, you had a lot of jigsaw puzzles from when you were a kid, so you simply took another one and headed to the sekai again the next day! Finding Miku with your gift was expected; what wasn't was the fact that it was still incomplete, even after a whole day, especially since vocaloids didn't sleep... Did you give her one that was too big to start?

"Um... I tried to continue after you left, but... I got distracted by the song I was singing... Then the rest of the group came in, and I left it behind to listen to their chatting and music demo... And then I forgot where it was..."

You gently patted her head, as you sat down next to her, and decided to finish this one with her first! Her eyes slightly widened as you didn't seem to mind at all, and started to teach her how to do the last few pieces. Almost as if she hadn't been so stubborn, and caused you to worry so much about her... Did you really not mind at all?

Soon enough you two had finished the puzzle, but now you knew that perhaps it was a bit too early for another one... You'd take apart all of the pieces, and let her rearrange them again, now that she had the hang of it! She stared at the now empty puzzle, and sat down to begin working on it anew!

And that's how it began... From jigsaw puzzles, to rubik cubes, to wooden puzzles... Everyday, you would come to check up on how Miku was doing with her latest puzzle, and you'd give her a new one! Or perhaps an old one that she may have forgotten about, she didn't seem to mind! In fact...

"... Fufu. You're really nice... Even though I told you so many times that I'm perfectly fine with being here, alone, with my music and your visits, you still worry about me... Enough to go out of your way to give me these... Thank you."

Her smile looked so cute whenever she said something along those lines, and you couldn't be more proud to have helped her with a problem she mostly dismissed as unimportant! She wasn't dissatisfied with her role before, but now it felt like you cared for her as if she were a normal group-mate.

In return, she made sure to sing a bit for you every time you came inside the sekai. Hearing her melodical voice always seemed to loosen you up from the day you had, no matter if it had not been that bad, or had it been quite terrible... However, her face focused on the pieces was enough to lighten up your mood! Be it to coo, or to chuckle inside your mind. No matter which, her presence definitely brightened your day!

There we go! I'm not sure if these are the toys you were referring to, but they were the ones that came to my mind first for toys to pass the time! Caw.

Any specific character inspiration for how you characterize the CV gang?? :0 like, from animes or other media, is that how you picked out their personalities because their really great 🙏🏾

OvO!! excellent question!! ooh boy...where do I start with that...

admittedly, some of my inspirations are a bit difficult for me to remember since I've had my characterizations for the CVs for a really long time, almost if not as long as I've been a fan (so...over a decade lmao). let's see, though... (this became an essay accidentally so putting it under a cut lmao)

My Miku's personality comes from a mix of things: the basics of it I think I can trace back to her portrayals in unofficial comics like Hatsune Mix and Chibi Miku-san, and of course, portrayals of her from various early songs and videos (mainly cosMo's works). Outside of Vocaloid-based works, though, I don't think it'd surprise anyone to know that yes, I did base my portrayal of Miku on Jenny from My Life as a Teenage Robot (just a little XD) but it would probably surprise people to know that I got a surprising amount of inspiration for how I write Miku from Mickey Mouse of all characters, mostly the version of him from the modern Paul Rudish shorts. I feel like the wackier and more short-sighted aspects of her definitely came from him, lolol - it ended up making her feel more like a Western cartoon protag than say, a stock shoujo anime heroine. Oh, and I can't forget - a good chunk of Miku's personality also is a reflection of myself in a few ways, such as her anxious streak.

For Rin...Rin is actually kinda easy in this regard, a majority of Rin (and also Len's) characterizations were definitely based off the aforementioned early Vocacomics/mangas and early songs, mostly Wonderful Opportunity's discography, but for Rin I also got a lot of my idea for her from OSTER Project's early songs (like Princess Cowgirl Show). Rin tended to get portrayed a lot with a very energetic, in-your-face and slightly bratty attitude and I always loved it. XD Both my Rin and Len were inspired by a few of the Kagamine ask blogs floating around Tumblr in the early 2010s too. Also, while this was more of like...a subconscious inspiration? I recently had rewatched a bit of the Powerpuff Girls and I was kinda struck by how much Buttercup had snuck into how I write Rin XD It was really funny.

Now Len...I'm gonna come out and say that yeah, I owe a lot of my inspiration for how I write Len to hikusa and their Len askblog - I think my Len ended up deviating quite a bit from theirs? But I think the influence is there. XD Let's see...I also got my Len's personality from a lot of earlier Vocaloid content? Although admittedly moreso from other media like the comics and Project DIVA games than music in his regard other than WanOpo. Like Rin and Buttercup, I also noticed he takes quite a bit after Blossom, which I thought was entertaining. Len is also another character besides Miku that I think takes after myself a lot, I'd say he's probably the closest in personality to me in the cast. XD

And Luka is also pretty easy! A majority of my idea for Luka is pulled straight from one of her centric chapters in Hatsune Mix (couldn't tell you the chapter name/number off the top of my head) that discusses her having trouble putting "feeling" into her singing. I thought that chapter was really interesting in giving Luka that conflict so I ended up giving her a sort of robotic personality to delve further into that concept a bit. I think I also got some of my Luka's characterization from some of Owata-P's old Talkloids (Vocaloid Petit Theater, I think?) where while she was more tsundere than kuudere her kinda deadpan attitude felt fitting to the character.

But yeah! I know, kinda weird places to find characterization inspiration...but yknow lmao.

god i'm watching a video going over a song per month (8 sec worth) since Miku's inception in 2007, and just. as soon as it entered 2009 I got hit with memories of being present when songs released, like I remember Romeo and Cinderella releasing and loving it so so much, or when 1/6th got released how it didn't have that big popularity at first, or when two breaths walking or 2-faced lovers came out 😭 (or how i got into deco*27 and bought Decoustic on iTunes)

i was second guessing myself until the original clock lock works video was shown, and god how i was so so excited telling a friend at the time about a new hachi song, or like world's end dancehall also sharing with another friend so much excitement, or loving how cosmoP used all the Miku Append voicebanks...... now seeing hello/how are you, around that time I got an iPod Nano and excitedly loaded it on, and that's when I learned about ripping to mp3 and began having such a well organized itunes library w/ metadata

it's been 14 years............... how miku's voice in the hands of so many, shaping her in so many unique ways, their voices through her, all these various parts of my life, when people ask she's not my fave in terms of voice preference, but as a concept, well... how would you describe a concept that's been such a core part of your life, vocaloid is an instrument but Miku as a whole encompass such a movement (or multiple), or how such a funny coincidence that a good mutual riningear and we bonded over vocaloid and then also end up already being a student at my first college.

Len was skipping through the hallways of the school sekai when he suddenly stopped in front of one of the classrooms. The rhythmic tune of a guitar echoed from the inside, he peaked his head in only to find Kaito practicing all by his lonesome. He went inside to get a closer look, maybe they could practice together. Although Kaito seemed to be sucked in his own little world as he didn't even acknowledge Len's presence.

"Hey, Kaito!" Len tried calling out to him but the blue haired vocaloid was too focused on his music to notice. "Oi, Kaito!!" the blonde gripped his hands onto Kaito's sides as he lightly shook him to get his attention, what he wasn't expecting was the ear-shattering shriek that came out of him.

"EEK!!" Kaito almost dropped his guitar as his cheeks quickly turned cherry red. He whipped his head over at Len, both silently starring at each other for a moment before Len spoke up again.

"What was that??" the smaller of the two asked in pure confusion.

"I-It was nothing..." Kaito tried adverting his gaze, his blush only growing stronger, but of course Len wasn't convinced.

"So you're telling me that this..." he gave Kaito's sides another squeeze, earning another shriek "is nothing??". Kaito only looked at him in fear as a teasy grin made it's way onto Len's lips...

How did Kaito get into this situation? One moment he was practicing his guitar calmly and now he was on the ground with a teasy Len on top of him tickling him to pieces.

"Why didn't you tell me that you're ticklish?! It's so cute~!" said the blonde as he scribbled all over the blue vocaloid's stomach.

"N-noho it's naHAHAT!!" poor Kaito would squeal and thrash around at each ticklish touch, and the teasing just made it ten times worse for him.

"But just look at that smile! You should really smile more, it suits you~" Len walked his fingers up Kaito's sides, enjoying the softer snickers that came out of the latter.

"Pfft! Ehehehehe!" Kaito instantly went to cover his flushed face behind his hands at the comment.

"Eyy, don't hide from mehe!" Len giggled along as he tried to pry Kaito's hands away from his face, but he was just oh so stubborn. The blonde then got the grand idea of tickling under his arms and as he expected it did the trick.

"GYAH! WAHAHAIT! NAHAHAT THEHEHERE!" Kaito squealed in laughter as his arms came crashing down. His fully red face and teary eyes in full display. And who could forget that smile that was more blinding than any star.

Len smiled in victory as he kept tormenting the overly ticklish spot "Wow, look at how ticklish you are here! You might be more ticklish than Rin~".

"ST-STAHAHAP SAHAHAYING THAHAT!!".

"Saying what? Ticklish~?" Len chuckled when a flustered squeal came out of Kaito. Who knew it would be so much fun to tease the poor blue vocaloid.

Kaito though that he was a goner, but his saving grace soon walked through the door.

"Is Kaito-san here-" it was none other than Ichika, who stopped dead in her tracks at the scene in front of her. The three of them just starred at each other for a while in silence until Ichika cleared her throat. "I didn't know Kaito-san could sound so loud" she said with a smile of her own before walking away, leaving the boys alone once more.

"That was embarrassing..." Kaito whined out as he once again covered his red face.

"Awe don't be like that" Len gave him a final poke to his tummy before getting off of him, earning a cute squeak "I think your laugh is pretty adorable~" the blonde smiled down at him before walking away, leaving a panting, flustered Kaito dead on the floor.

18.) What non-Deco Vocaloid songs do you think suits them?

Jackalope: “Welcome to the Internet” by Bo Burnham. Do I need to explain?

Es: “Saint Bernard” by Lincoln although I thought “Autoheart” by Sailor Song fit them as well (more so Es singing it to Kotoko/us). At this point, the poor kid’s exhausted and straining under the pressure and guilt so I think “Saint Bernard” fits them rather well.

Haruka: Hmmm. This one's tough. I'm gonna have to go with “I’ll Be Good” by Jaymes Young. It’s mournful and pleading and I think if he had been voted guilty in Trial One, his second trial song would have vibes of “I’m bad but I want to be better” instead of “I’ll be bad to be better,” that All-Knowing, All-Agony gives me. As a runner up, "Not While I'm Around," from the Sweeney Todd: Demon Barber of Fleet Street musical. I can just picture him singing it.

Yuno: “Bring on the Men” from the Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde musical. It’s fun, full of quips and innuendos, and definitely embraces her take on sex work.

Fuuta: “Dance, Dance” by Fall Out Boy. I feel like this fits his vibe.

Muu: “We R Who We R” by Kesha. Love her, hate her, you gotta admit that Muu wants to embody this IDGAF confidence, and I will indulge her with this song (where's the yellow paint can? I liked using it for Muu).

Shidou: “The Night We Met” by Lord Huron. It just sounds very mournful and fits his longing to see his loved ones again.

Mahiru: “E.T.” by Katy Perry, specifically the one without Kanye West because it vibes better with her. It's less... let's say Katy Perry is less direct about what she wants from her alien, and I feel like Mahiru could barely spit out an innuendo because of her dedication to her 'good girl' image.

Kazui: I suppose “False Confidence” by Noah Kahan would be a good fit. The emphasis on trying to fake it till you make it and wishing to go back to when you were young and before you began faking your way through life. That said, "The Good in Me" by Jon Bellion was a close second.

Amane: Another tough one. Perhaps "Miss Independent” by Ne-Yo. I had a song on here that didn’t really fit her and then I heard this song on the radio and went, “No, that’s the one.” Something fun and light but still fits her idealized self.

Mikoto: “LA Devotee” by Panic! At the Disco. Like Fuuta, it just fits his vibe. That said, I feel like John is scream-singing "Fight Back" by NEFFEX at him.

Kotoko: “Interlude IV” by Zach Callison. I can only assume this is what her two brain cells discussed during the break between the first and second trials. It’s menacing but fits so well.

21.) Do you have any similarities with them/relate to them?

Hmmm. It'll probably be shorter if I write a paragraph rather than breaking it up by character. I suppose the two I relate the most to would be Es and Yuno, but I relate a startling amount to Shidou, if I’m being honest. Let me explain the Shidou thing first since I know that he is heavily disliked and how I relate to him is dependent on how I view his crime.

My impression of Shidou is that he was a doctor who looked at the forest rather than the trees. At the very least, he pushed for the family members of patients who were brain-dead to take them off life support. I think he also pushed for patients to undergo risky surgeries in hopes that it would treat them when their current treatment failed. Shidou never thought beyond treating the physical ailment, and it wasn’t until his wife and children were in the car accident where he was put in the same position that Shidou fully understood the emotional weight of what he asked his patients and their families to do. With that, he began to suffocate under his own feelings of guilt and inadequacy (because if he couldn’t save his family, what is his worth?), and his push for the death penalty and claims about being irredeemable were his own attempts at trying to die so he can be with his family again. It was only when Kotoko attacked, that his savior complex was revived and he was given purpose again. I fully expect him to try and attack Kotoko (“remove that fang” anyone?) and push for the death penalty again during the third trial. Now, I know you’re thinking, wtf, how can you relate to this man?

Well, for starters, if the people I loved most in this world were violently ripped away from me while I stood helplessly by, I’d blame myself and look for reasons as to why I’m the worst and deserve death. Also, I have a lot of family who are nurses, and stories about dickhead doctors and the realities of illness, injuries, and treatments were common enough dinner conversations that hearing about, reading, and listening to Shidou act like a martyr makes me think, “Yeah, professional hazard,” not “what a scum ball.” To me, Shidou is the equivalent of a pothole in the street. I might startle if I fall into him but in all likelihood, I’ll trip, grumble, and move on. There’s also the part where I think, if I was a worse person, I’d probably be more like Shidou. He reminds me of what I could be if I was more arrogant, more willing to sacrifice in the name of the bigger picture.

But onto happier topics, I like to think I’m able to relate to Es. They have a strong sense of morality, integrity, and responsibility when it comes to their work. I like to think I keep to those three values when faced with an unknown or conflict. It’s admirable how they try to stay true to those values despite Milgram’s mental/physical interference when it comes to Es trying to remember or establish a sense of personhood separate of the organization’s will. With Yuno, I like to think I can read the room, albeit I’m probably on par with Muu, not Yuno when it comes to that. Although, I do understand her frustration with trying to establish agency when others try to limit it, and admire how willing she is to put herself out there to find herself. Actually, now that I write this down, I admire Yuno more than relate to her. I guess I’m Shidou and Es. Sorry y’all.

As a bonus, Jackalope. If I had to pick anything to relate to, I would certainly pick his love of the drama and chaos that goes on in Milgram. I definitely share his amusement for the chaos. As much as I enjoy all the prisoners (including Es in that), with the caveat of some more than others, I get a bit of a kick out of trying to use Jackalope’s taunts and jabs to predict what will happen next. If Es is the audience surrogate, then Jackalope is an author insert. He’s as enjoyable as he is smarmy, and I enjoy a battle of the wits. I’d probably lose against Jackalope in that battle, but hey, I’d lose with a shit-eating grin on my face. Jackalope definitely knows more than he lets on and while I don’t think he’s ever lied outright with how he prefers to dodge questions and give half-answers, he is using that to keep the upper hand and let things unfold. I don’t think I’m sadistic, but he is a fun enemy to face.

I only found out about Cringetober AFTER October was over. What's more cringey than doing it three months later and also using my own list? Credits of the OG trend to @sleeprann on Deviantart, and Awestin Martinez.

Day 1: Heterochromia

I kept the heterochromia itself pretty basic and went all in on the 2000's aesthetic that was hyper cringey and self aware but also unapologetic and fun.

Day 2: Self Insert

I'll explain this one a little bit: I had exactly one self insert OC when I was a kid and it was for a short lived nuzelock comic. She would find the person I've become so cringey.

Day 3: Gary Stu

This started as a joke that no one knows what a Gary Stu is. When looking up examples, fucking SPENCER FROM ICARLY WAS LISTED. WHAT MALE POWER FANTASY DOES SPENCER REPRESENT??? SETTING RANDOM OBJECTS ON FIRE AND ONLY HAVING TEENAGE FRIENDS WTF? Anyways here's the Iconic Gary Stu Kirito from SAO doing that one spencer shay meme. Gary Stu and Mary Sue aren't valid terms, I'll get into this another time.

Day 4: Glomping

Thank god these days are behind us. Never hug a stranger at mach speed ever again.

Day 5: Furry OC

I do draw furries sometimes! I just don't do it often because I have a strict NSFW policy while living with others as a form of respect for our shared spaces, and every time I've accepted a furry commission or request I've been tricked into doing something fetishized or NSFW. Which has made me more than disappointed and frustrated. I like furry designs, I love playing with textiles and color pallets. So it's not off the table, I just need the NSFW rule to be taken seriously in the future. the last time was an obvious kink and it was a minor who requested it, off topic, but SUPER DON'T PUT ME IN THAT POSITION. You're way too young to be interacting with people in that way and I'm never going to enable that ever. I will find your mom and let her know. Anyways,

Day 6: Big Ass Sword

Big sword. Little baby.

Day 7: Crackship.

Does anyone here who likes the Percy Jackson/Heroes of Olympus series remember Jason X Brick? Or are you too young to know what I'm talking about? Or maybe I hallucinated that micro chasm of the internet. Anyways,

Day 8: Deviantart Base.

I didn't know how to interpret this one, so I did both things I figured it'd be. I found a base on DA and drew over it (base credit linked here,) And drew a base for people to use, I just did a similar style to the base I found. The OG artist does a mix of sfw and nsfw but the filter is turned on by default so you shouldn't see anything you aren't prepared to just opening the link passively.

Day 9: Nicktoons

Every actually good cartoon seemed to get banished to Nicktoonz, and it made me incredibly sad when it happened, but happy that I could expect something good to be playing during the block that something else I didn't like was going on the main channel. I decided to feature the ones that were my faves growing up, My Life as a Teenage Robot, El Tigre, and Danny Phantom (Butch Hartman DO NOT INTERACT)

Those are all the prompts that I've done so far! I'm keeping the styles simple and quick so I don't stress too much with other things on my plate. Here's the next items on the list:
