You, Bellatrix, and Draco were outside, in the middle of a snow blurry, running around and playing in the snow.You were Draco’s Godmother, and you live and adored Draco. Bellatrix you barely stomached. It was his idea to invite her out in the snow. You merely grumbled along.

Suddenly you felt a hard pelt of snow on the back of your neck. You turned around and saw a grinning Draco, his hands filled with snowballs.

You smirked and quickly began rolling your own icy weapons. But instead of throwing them at Draco, you flung them Bellatrix’s way. The witch shrieked as an icy ball hit her in the shoulder. She looked madly furious. Then you threw another one, hitting her neck this time.

You giggled endlessly as she jumped about in a cold spout of rage. Your last throw of your snowballs landed right in the woman’s face. You gasped and placed your hand over your mouth in reaction. Draco bursted out in laughter.

But then Bellatrix stared you down and began charging toward you. With intent and ferocity. And you quickly made a run for it. You scampered back into Malfoy Manor, yelling back at Draco for help. But Draco was rolling in the snow, laughing endlessly, and certainly not helping you.

You ran inside the Manor and up the stairs, down the corridors, until you reached your guest room. You ran in, shut the door behind you, and collapsed against it panting.

It wasn’t long before Bellatrix caught up with you. You could tell from her sinister cackling. It always sent shivers down your spine.

She banged on the door, taunting your name and trying to get in. But your body kept the door firmly closed. That was until magic was involved.

A split second later, you were hurled forward onto the ground and the door swung open violently. It closed itself as Bellatrix entered, staring down at you as you scrambled to get up. But she hindered you, stepping on your chest, effectively keeping you pinned on the ground.

Your eyes widened and your breathing shallowed at this compromising position. But a spark of courage lighted in you as her dark and dangerous eyes met your gaze. You weren’t going down without a fight.

“Stop doing that. Let me go.” You gritted out through your teeth.

Bellatrix grinned like a Cheshire Cat and tilted her head, pushing her foot down further and threatening to cut off your oxygen flow to your lungs.

“I think you like it…!” she jeered in her taunting manner.

You growled in response, barring your teeth while squirming underneath her heel. Bellatrix chuckled and accepted your challenge.

“Fine then. Beg. Beg me to let you go.” She jeered.

Your breath hitched in your breath.

“Fuck you!” You sneered.

Bellatrix chuckled darkly and shook her head.

“Don’t make me ask again” she threatened darkly.

The newfound edge and dominance to her tone got to you.

“I… umm” you stammered, your face getter redder and redder.

“What’s the matter, pup…?” Bellatrix jeered.

The pet name sent waves right to your core… ferocious, unrelenting waves.

“P-please…”

The pressure tightened once more on your chest. She was saying it wasn’t good enough.

“Please Bellatrix… please…” you begged, “please please please—” you chanted, closing your eyes out of embarrassment.

This made the woman smirk wickedly.

“Please please…!” She mocked you.

Your eyes shot opened widened at her tone and you gulped.

This time you involuntarily jerked your hips upward, your body suddenly needing relief and some sort of friction. This made Bellatrix chuckle darkly. Bellatrix then released her foot from your chest, letting you breath once more.

With a muttering spell under her breath, Bellatrix moved you onto your bed. You were frozen as the woman pounced on you, pinning you to the bed. You moved your head to the side, as her face came right up to yours, and her tongue licked up the trial of your neck and jaw.

You wanted to hate it. But you didn’t… You coudn’t… your body was giving in.

Your hips jerked up once more, making the woman chuckle again. While keeping you successfully pinned to the bed, one of Bellatrix’s hands wandered down in between your legs, her fingers grazing your clothes center. This only made you jerk your hips even more, making your mind more and more dizzy.

Bellatrix growled in response.

“P-please please… don’t stop—-” you sputtered.

“You look so good when you beg, pup…” Bellatrix cooed wickedly.

“I h-hate you… I—” you breathed out roughly.

But you were cut off as her fingers slipped under your clothing layers and two of them slid into your warmth.

“I know, pup… I know…” Bellatrix cooed lustfully, pumping and curling into your cunt at a fast and harsh pace.

dear, dear GTC 🩷 i was reflecting on the imagery of your last chapter. when Hermione returned from detention, and when they figured the scars could not be healed by magic. everyone with Muggle exposure scrambled to put together a first aid game plan. i know it crushed Draco to do next to nothing, to watch others assist "his Hermione, his girl." but i was thinking about how you highlighted the way he held her hand, never let it go, all throughout. it got me thinking that this (or their's) is the best kind of friendship. sure, we can't always have a solution or contribute to one, but if we can commit to holding a best friend's hand, to being their scene partner and mirror, to being actively present for the present and unseen future– it's the best kind of friendship, the best 'i will be here, i will love you,' we can ever give. congrats on another new chapter, can't wait to watch this magic unfold 🩷

This is a lovely comment, and I'm so pleased with it. The mechanics of wounds and injuries in the Harry Potter universe are a really fun sandbox, because on the one hand you've got all this magical healing that seems capable of reversing major (normal) injures (broken bones, gashes, wounds) really effectively, but you also have: scars! Harry's extremely visible and inconveniently iconic scar, which no one ever suggests fixing, implying that they can't. Ostensibly because it was created by magic, but still. Same with I cannot tell lies, Ron's scars from the brain vat in the DOM, and Hermione's "mudblood" scar on her arm. It's also much cooler on a subtextual level if magic can heal but not prevent scarring — like, you can recover from almost any wound, but you will never be as you were before it touched you. Sick.

Anyway, the scene in the common room is a chance for Harry to show off the skills he brings to the quartet, apart from being the rallying-point and de facto leader: his upbringing as what is effectively a house servant to the Dursleys means he has a suite of domestic skills that the others don't, e.g. cooking, cleaning, mending, basic first aid. I like this idea a lot as a reversal of the (supposedly) masculine suites of skills that protagonists often bring to the party, e.g. combat, strategy, decisiveness, etc. And it's also, crucially, a moment when magic doesn't help, and there's this sense that for once, being muggle-born/muggle-raised is a significant tactical advantage in the battle they're waging.

And then you have Draco, who is trying to figure out what his place is in all of this, and so far has come up with nothing better than: "by Hermione's side," which is, of course, a very good step, but still isn't a terribly stable foundation to build your identity on. He needs a purpose. After the end of Book 4, he's searching for someone to be that isn't the Draco Malfoy he at one point seemed destined to become, and doing so in the midst of this shocking violence leaves him scared and adrift. Holding her hand creates a lifeline for both of them: for her, a source of comfort and security as she undergoes a deeply harrowing experience, and for him, a source of purpose in an otherwise chaotic scene. They ground each other. I tend to see that as one of the core facets of their dynamic, and it comes especially to the fore in moments of danger/tension, like this one.

Spring has ended, and with it HP Fruit Fest...at least for this year! Short Dramione fic review (and some spoilers too)

It's been a while since I finished a long fic/multi-chapter (The Binding by curly_kay). I've only read oneshots so far, because I just could not seem to have the courage to commit to another long fic yet.

Here are the oneshots that I read this week:

Evigilatio by darkcivet - I didn't read the tags so I was confused as to why Draco was suddenly transforming. Anyways cute story, loved the smut. 😉

Blink (dmhgchallenge drabbles) by blackestfaery - SEVERELY underrated. Despite having very short stories, they're fun to read. Lighthearted, fluff.

In All Honesty by darkcivet - this was hilarious 😂 Lighthearted, fluff, fun! Dumbledore was in it yall! He's a shipper!

Exposé (Ginny's Version) by undercoverdrxco - a fun read, implied smut. Loved it! Ginny is our detective, and she KNOWS for sure Hermione's got a man because guess what, she HEARD them 😂 Her first guesses were wrong though!

Marked as Mine by LilithShade - set in an omegaverse. Draco is A, Hermione is O. Smut was hot. Plot twist was good. We got implied NottPott in it too.

One Pleasant Memory by Musyc - my god. So this was set when Draco just got sectum sempra'd by Harry. He's in the hospital wing. Hermione, for whatever reason rushed to see him. They weren't even tgt at the time. Things get spicy later. And guess what, we have a v!Draco here! Hermione isn't 😉 The story ends when the trio are in the Malfoy manor, and Draco has to identify them in front of Bellatrix.

Most of these recommendations were published just a few years from the release of the last Harry Potter movie, because I have a tab that's set to filter Dramione stories from 2011 to 2015, because, as I have mentioned in my previous posts, I wanted to read fics that were fresh from the completion of the movies.

Additionally , here are the DNFs of my night.

On the Nature of Daylight byt ikorous

--> I think this is one of the highly recommended set-in-Hogwarts fics.

I bookmarked this a while back after reading the summary, and I decided to try reading the first chapters of it. I read the tags, dom Draco/sub Hermione (I could totally do that), but then here comes the toxic Draco train (it just popped into my head I swear). I looked this up on Reddit again to see the comments about this, and most said that this had amazing smut. I was definitely in for that. However when people asked for fics similar to this, the damned Water by kissherdraco was recommended. We know how that ended for me (I hated it), but I decided to continue on with this because the structure of the paragraphs was cohesive anyway.

The first 2 chapters I did not really find Draco to be immediately toxic at all (vs Water by Tyla- I mean kissherdraco). He was horny. But because I was dreading the ending after seeing that this fic had an "angst" tag, and I did not see a "happy ending or HEA" tag, I contemplated on skipping to the end of the story to figure out if I could spare my time reading this one. I'm glad I did skip to the end. I checked the comments first, and they were all heartbroken. So then I went to reading the last chapter before the epilogue. I found out that the ending was before the Deathly Hollows, or somewhere during, because it ended with Dumbledore getting killed, and before the war, or the war was just brewing.

Draco left. He was a Death Eater.

I read the chapter preceding the final chapter. Okay there was smut. The dirty talk, jfc. Draco's nicknames for Hermione. I cringed. I just saw insta posts where people shared nicknames that were icky, and it all began with "little." Bestie this was full of it. "Little kitten" 🫠🤢

The dirty talking... It just felt so OOC. Especially Draco. I just could not.

Anyways, I don't have to have my heart broken. I'm satisfied with the contents I read from this fic, even if they were select chapters.

I heard this had a sequel? But author mentioned in the notes/comments that it's gonna be darker, so F that.

A Dish Best Served Cold by MistessLynn

--> Smut, yet again. Of course I'm in here for the smut, but Hermione here was so OOC I had to stop 😂🙈

Set in Hogwarts 8th year. The buildup was really good, until Hermione did the thang 😭💀 I had to skip the entire part. Well, I skipped to the end.

You might be wondering, why on earth do I want to read smut but stop when they do all the weird things? Well I cannot imagine them being so OOC. I don't like it 😭 It does not feel natural for them, the characters, especially the ones in my head. I want them to stick to the original characterization.

This is basically all I can post about tonight.

I would love to reread The Binding.

I'm thinking of making another post about a fic I highly recommend. Though it may need trigger warnings.

Harry's been twitchy ever since he was disguised as Draco with Polyjuice potion. He couldn't have discovered Draco's tattoo, could he?

Normally this is Draco’s favourite part of a case. Granted, it’s tedious work, filling out reports, but the satisfaction of a closed case and captured criminals lingers in his mind and puts a soft glow on everything, including the Ministry approved standard parchment. Plus he gets to use his fancy custom made peacock quill.

Today, however, is another thing entirely. Or really, the whole week has passed in this fashion he thinks with a frown as Harry for the umpteenth time opens his mouth and draws a deep breath only to let it out without saying anything, ducking his head and scratching his nose. Draco feels like hexing Harry into the next week as he continues shifting in his seat, tapping his Muggle pen on his desk.

”What?” Draco finally snaps.

Harry looks up at him, eyes wide. ”What?”

“Did you get “Antsy Pants” from one of the Granger-Weasley children?”

Harry frowns. “No.”

“Then why do you keep acting as if your chair is made of bowtruckles?”

Harry quickly ducks his head again. “No reason,” he mumbles, and Draco’s sure he can see a faint blush tinting his cheeks.

Draco gives him a sharp look but lets it go, returning to his paperwork. That is, until Harry leans back in his chair, making it squeak.

Again.

Draco is up and in front of Harry in an eyeblink.

“Tell me,” he snarls, towering over Harry, who glances up at him with a constipated look.

“No,” he says, eyes flitting around the room.

“Tell me what happened,” Draco says in his most intimidating voice. “You’ve been twitchy ever since…,” he trails off. Ever since Harry was disguised as Draco with Polyjuice potion, Draco slowly realises. He narrows his eyes at Harry. “Tell. Me.”

Harry looks like he’s fighting an internal battle, his cheeks go redder than Draco has ever seen them.

“Why do you have a tattoo that says ‘Potter stinks’?!” he finally blurts.

Draco flinches, reclining at Harry’s words.

“I mean, why would that be so important to you that you would put that permanently on your body?” Harry says, actually sounding a bit hurt.

Draco pinches the bridge of his nose. Fuck. The one thing he doesn’t want Harry to know about him. The number one thing that has kept him from trying to move things further with Harry. Because Merlin knows he wants to. He really, really wants to.

“I got it when I was drunk in Ibiza. Pansy, Blaise and I were really out of it one night and they talked me into getting it. I… It was just before you and I got partnered, before we became... friends. They told me it would be fun, that it would be our secret, our ‘fuck off’ to everyone looking down on us for being... foolish during the war.” He sighs. ”Obviously I never meant for you to see it.”

Harry shifts in his seat again and Draco hears his own words replaying in his head. “Wait.”

Harry makes an impressive imitation of a turtle trying to draw its head back in its shell. Draco places his hands on either side of Harry, making his chair tilt up a bit.

“How did you see that tattoo, Harry?” Draco says in his silkiest voice. “It’s not located at a place on my body one would see if one follows protocol and simply takes the potion and changes into the proper clothing.

Harry doesn’t answer, but Draco practically sees his thoughts running wild inside his head.

“Harry?” Draco says softly, menacingly. He leans in closer, voice barely a whisper as he says “I could always use Legilimency, of course.”

Harry shivers, but seems more aroused than afraid, and Draco tries hard to ignore what that does to him.

“What would I see then, hmm Harry?” Draco murmurs in Harry’s ear. “Would I see myself standing in front of the mirror, sliding my hands over my chest?” He lets one hand trail along the buttons on Harry’s robes. “Would I see me cupping my cock, already half hard from watching my body?” He stops his hand to hover over Harry’s crotch, delighting in the sharp intake of breath. “And would I see my other hand wander backwards, to the cleft of my arse? Did you turn around so you could get a nice long look at my firm arse, and that’s when you saw it?” He smirks. ”Twelve little letters,” he says in a sing-song voice, ”black ink against pale skin written across the small of my back. Potter. Stinks. Is that what happened?”

Harry’s only answer is a faint whimper, his breathing heavy now.

“Tell me,” Draco whispers, resisting the urge to flick out his tongue at Harry’s ear. “Is that. What happened?”

“Yes.” Harry’s voice is raspy when he finally speaks.

Draco leans back and perches on the edge of Harry’s desk, arms crossed. “And...?”

Harry’s eyes are dark, the bulge in his trousers obvious despite the thick, practical material. He licks his lips. “And now all I can think about is how I want to look at it again as I bend you over your desk, all over your neatly organized papers, and shove my cock inside that firm arse,” he growls.

Through sheer willpower Draco manages not to moan.

“Well. You’ve been a very naughty boy for looking at me without my permission, so I can’t reward you with that just yet,” he says with a swish of his wand to close and ward their office door. “But I think I know a way for you to start making it up to me,” he continues, yanking Harry up by the front of his robes. “Strip.”

Harry hesitates a fraction of a second before nodding, his eyes on Draco’s mouth. “Yes,” he whispers.

“Yes, what?” Draco says, pulling Harry closer.

“Yes, sir.”

“Good boy,” Draco purrs, settling in Harry’s vacated chair. ”Start the show.”
