Cosmic Legacy Challenge for TS3

Oh wow, its my third challenge. Anyway, I was looking for new challenges and wondered why no one has made a planet themed challenge for TS3 (there's a lot for TS4). So I decided to make one.

Cosmic Legacy Challenge is a 11 gen challenge that includes the sun, planets, the moon,and Pluto because I wanted Pluto so therefore, its spaced theme. Each generation is based off a mix of astronomy, astrology,and greek/roman mythology. Some of the goals in certain generations require your sim crying/drama and if that’s your playstyle that’s cool but heads up if it isn’t. So if you enjoy space, space themed adventures, or a bit of drama from time to time in your legacies, this might be for you.

Rules:

You don’t have to use all of the traits, just 2-3 required

You can move onto the next generation when all of the goals are met or when the next heir ages to a YA

If you don’t have a certain expansion pack that is related to a goal, skip it or do an alternative goal that fits.

1. ☼Sun:

Aah! A star is born! Where would we be without the center of our universe! Everything revolves around you and people are dependent on you to perform or else we would all die. Not trying to be dramatic here but you’re hitting your prime and before you know it, you’ll blow out and fade away into existence, destroying everything you worked so hard to gain. After all, where would you be without yourself?

Traits: Natural Born Performer, Star Quality, Dramatic, Charismatic, Loves the Heat

Goals:

Master the Charisma skill

Work in an Entertainment career (ie - Actor, Director, Singer, Acrobat, Magician)

Become a 5 star celebrity

Don’t spend time with your family, spend more time with your rich celebrity friends

Fall from grace - get into 3 scandals that ruin your reputation.

2 . ☿ Mercury:

The fastest yet tiniest, you’ve always had a front row seat to your parent’s stardom. But being in your parent’s shadow is never a fun place to be and it’s causing you to be as cold as you are hot. You tend to think rationally when making decisions and focus on communicating ideas to others so they can see the bigger picture in life. But while they’re distracted, your hand might find itself in their wallet. Ideas need funding too you know.

Traits: Kleptomaniac, Schmoozer, Natural Businessman, Genius, Perceptive

Goals:

Master the Logic and Social Networking skills

Steal 3 items a day

Work in the Journalism career

Own 3 cars that are worth over 25,000

Visit your friends/neighbors at least once a week

3. ♀Venus:

With a taste of your lips, I'm on a ride You're toxic. That’s right Venus, you’re the hottest and most toxic planet of the bunch. You tend to shine the brightest as well as go a different direction than those around you. You have an idealized version of love that will come with the most expensive vacations, a big house, and someone who is going to spoil and love you with no complaints. But are you willing to go through the jumps and hurdles to find your happily ever after?

Traits: Snob, Savvy Sculptor, Hot-headed, Hopeless Romantic, Inappropriate

Goals:

Master the Sculpting skill and one musical instrument (drums, bass, guitar, violin, piano)

Live in a big house worth over 250,000

Work in the Stylist, Architect, or Sculptor career

Date 5 different sims before marrying your “Happily Ever After”.

Have a mirror in every room of your house

4. ♁Earth:

While your parents may have their head in the clouds, you don’t mind being bit a more down to Earth. You care for the environment and all living things and want to ensure that you take the actions to maintain it. You’re curious and wonder about what’s out there as you’ve always had to examine life through a lens. But it’s time to get back out there and explore the depths and wonders the world has to offer you. For you were responsible with its care, it’s time to honor that stewardship.

Traits: Loves the Outdoors, Eco-friendly, Animal Lover, Gatherer, Vegetarian.

Goals:

Master the Science and Handiness skill

Marry an alien

Create a plantsim

Live an eco-friendly lifestyle (No bathtubs, no dryers, no cars (bikes/motorcycles only), garden your food)

Work in the Science or Astronomy field

5. ☾Moon:

You’re someone who is always close to those you care about. Like a small beacon, you are always there to light up the night and uplift those around you. But your light comes in stages and sometimes your dark side shows up more than you want it too. But just because you can get a little emotional sometimes or plan a bank robbery every once in a while, does not mean you are unfit to take care of your family. Sometimes, being bad does pay the bills.

Traits: Family Oriented, Nurturing, Over Emotional, Natural Cook, Evil

Goals:

Master the Cooking skill

Have 5 children

Get to the top of the Criminal career as a thief or evil leader.

Be best friends with all of your children and teach them all of their skills.

Physically fight someone once a week

6 ♂Mars:

For someone who used to be so full of life, you’re now just bitter and cold. It doesn’t stop you from being a person of action and it also doesn’t stop people from wanting to be your friend (since they won’t stop coming over to your house). While your anger can hurt those close to you, it also provides a way for you to keep your boundaries respected and your inner world at peace. So for some much needed self care, please go to the spa or eat a Snickers.

Traits:Mean-spirited, Athletic, Ambitious, Brave, Grumpy

Goals:

Master the Athletic skill

Woohoo with 10 different sims in 10 different places

Reach the top of the military or athletic career

Have a set of twins (can have more children than that)

Have more enemies than friends

Learn how to cook your favorite meal

7. ♃ Jupiter:

Dang you’re massive but that’s what makes you a great leader. Your presence is intensely large and it allows others to see your greatness as well as draw them into you. But while you are a storm to be feared, you don’t exactly have the best foundation within yourself. That’s why you have taken upon yourself to expand your inner world and focus on becoming the best version of yourself. But while you’ve always believed you are a good person, don’t forget that you are also flawed and susceptible to making mistakes just like the rest of us.

Traits: Commitment Issues, Adventurous, Lucky, Flirty, Good

Goals:

Obtain 2 degrees from university

Be best friends with your sibling(s)

Have 3 affairs when you’re married

Donate to charity once a week

Travel to all of the WA destinations and learn something new to take back home with you. (i.e - skill, song, book)

Work in a job where you’ll become a leader in the field (i.e- politician, business, law enforcement)

8. ♄ Saturn:

When you want something, you go get it. To you, money can solve all of your problems and those who complain, well they just don’t have enough. That’s how you got those 7 rings correct? Whether that’s biding your time to see the fruits of your labor grow into fruition or focusing on building your abundant wealth, you work hard for what you wish to earn. It’s the discipline and precision of your routine that keeps you going.

Traits: workaholic, green thumb, frugal, neurotic, disciplined

Goals:

Master gardening and advanced technology skills

Get married twice in your life

Reach the top of 3 careers in your lifetime

Have 35,000 in household funds (without cheating)

Become enemies with all your children

9. ♅ Uranus:

Baby you’re cold as ice. No seriously. You believe you can reach the heavens and the sky is merely just the stepping stool for your hopes and dreams as a writer. Trying to go the traditional route in life is not for you and you hate when others try to put you in that box. You believe in creating change for others as well as getting rid of systems that bring down your fellow sim. If you have to do some questionable things in order to achieve those goals, well the end justifies the means.

Traits:Party animal, bookworm, eccentric, rebellious, loves the cold

Goals:

Master the writing and inventing skill

Join the Writing career and write 15 books

Create all the inventions including the simbot

Host 10 different parties:(Slumber,Teen, Birthday, Gift Giving.Costume. Feast. House party, Juice Kegger, Pool party, Destination)

Host protests twice a week

Pull pranks on your school and neighbors as a teen.

10. ♆Neptune:

Deep as the sea and with winds stronger than a hurricane,You keep yourself at a distance from others. It’s why the ocean has always called you home and it’s vastness makes you question your role in the universe. As you search for your answers, you find some in the supernatural and the expression of art. But don’t let your journeys become obsessions. You can only go so far down the rabbithole before it’s too late to pull you out.

Traits: brooding, sailor, artistic, loner, unstable,

Goals:

Master the scuba diving, fishing and painting skills

Your spouse has to be a mermaid

Put 10 of your best works in the town's art gallery and invite your friends and family to see your “show” (destination party)

Work as a fortune teller as your day job until you reach adulthood, then become a self-employed artist.

Have a midlife crisis and complete all of your crisis wishes

11. ♇ Pluto:

You were always seen as small and felt uninvited in your family’s gatherings because of your differences. So you found yourself interested in discovering who you are and finding strength in your power. It took a while, like a long while, but you did find something to build a foundation and now you can move your best foot forward in life’s journey for you. Quite the transformation.

Traits: supernatural fan, dog lover, irresistible, loser, avant garde

Goals:

Master the alchemy and street art skill

Your spouse has to have the Green Thumb trait.

As a teenager, you worked in the cemetery part time

You have an indifference relationship with your family (not enemies but just barely acquaintances)

During your YA years, get fired from 3 different jobs and move to a different town away from your family.

Have 3 dogs and become best friends with all of them

Okay here we go!

Small drabble I wrote.

Hot. Burning. He dropped the children's toys they'd left after pick-up, Susie's small sheep laid haphazardly on the floor. It's soft black eyes stared sadly back up at him. Usually he'd pick it right up. Usually he'd be frantic about the mess he'd just created. Usually he wouldn't have even made such a mess in the first place, in fact, he'd still be wondering about what he could do with the children tomorrow. Still setting up their schedule, making sure they had fun things to do along the way. Usually every part of him wouldn't be screaming at the sudden hazard warnings flashing across his screen. But this wasn't a usual occurrence. He could feel the heat under the Plex from here. And it was rising. "Oh nonononono!" Sun mumbled, quickly making his way up to their balcony. He pulled on his rays as he paced around. Why would there be a fire in the Plex? Especially one so big? The first thing he did was check if there were any personnel still left within the building. He sighed in relief as he scanned through every camera still active within the Plex, additionally checking the employee time log just in case. Luckily no one was present at the moment, and everyone had left... except.. Vanessa? Sun stopped pacing and scanned again. There was no sign of her. "Sun, we don't have time!" A voice spoke up from his consciousness. Moon. They felt the heat suddenly rise up as crackles bubbled from somewhere underneath the daycare. "Vanessa's fine, knowing her," He could feel moon roll his eyes within their headspace, "But we won't be if we stay here!" He pressed. Sun gripped is hands frantically. He knew that. But leave the Plex? Could he even do that? Would he even want to? This was their home.. "Sunny," Moon started, trying to get his brother to focus the best he could. "Sunny, I can override the System, but we need to hurry." He was right. It wouldn't be long till the fire caught up to where they were. Wait. "But then what about the Glamrocks? Surely they would've made it out, right?" Silence. Sun knew just as well as moon did that they didn't appear anywhere on the cameras. They must have- "Sun," Moon said, much quieter this time."Sun, we need to go. If we don't, we'll end up like..." He couldn't say it. He wouldn't. He refused to believe their friends would just be- gone. They would've had to have made it out. Hopefully. Sun opened their curtains, and watched as light flooded into their room. If the Glamrocks were already outside, then they needed to leave right now. He quickly got to work, grabbing as much as he could. The kids pictures, as many crafts and he could fit, and a two plushies. One that had been given to them by the Glamrocks when they'd first arrived here. One of the first ever made. Their smiles were bright and happy. And they looked a lot like them, except they much looked much friendlier. He often wished they were like that, too. More inviting to the guests. Maybe then people wouldn't give them such harsh remarks, or glare at them whenever they caught a glance from the daycare. Moon never spoke on the matter. And he wondered if he ever really cared. Sun spared one last glance around the room they called home. It wasn't much admittedly, but it was something of their own. And now it was gone.

Sun felt his consciousness slip away into the background as he transformed into Moon, who hastily made his way out of the Plex without a word. They stood outside watching it crumble to ash and dust. Waiting. The Glamrocks hadn't come out. They were nowhere to be seen.

A cold breeze gently swept through the air, softly swaying the tip of Moon's hat. "I'm sorry." He spoke aloud. He knew he didn't have to, it wasn't necessary, but him speaking like that reminded him that this was real. That he was real. Sun often felt the same way... now more than ever. "I-I'ts fine." He quietly spoke up. It wasn't. they both knew that. But Moon didn't mention it. Why would he? All It'd do is just release everything they were trying so hard to keep down at the moment. Moon swiftly turned around away from the Plex. Away from their home, their friends, their memories. He turned away from everything they knew. Everything that made them... them. He began walking as far away as he could from that place. He looked ahead as he walked past brush and grass, trees and stump. He walked till he was completely secluded. Deep in the forest.

You walked past Slinky, your small ferret. Her small body wiggling and looping around your feet as she happily followed you around. "Come on now," You laughed, "If you don't let me do this, I might not have enough to fix for supper tonight." She paused at that, slightly tilting her head up to face you. You were hopeful she'd understand, until she boldly laid her lanky body across your foot. Refusing to move. You snorted, as you picked her up and began walking out of your garden. "Okay Okay. I suppose gardening can wait till another day. I actually have enough for tonight anyways... so~ brake time?" You asked your little friend, who happily squeaked in reply. You watched the sun set as you made your way back to your front porch, the smell of daisies hung sweetly in the air. You sighed and softly smiled down at Slinky, who lovingly nuzzled her way between you arms. Today was another good day.
