Hi! Could I request Donnie x gn reader (or female, whatever is more comfortable with you)

Okay so- it was normal day in the lair and Donnie just ran into common room to rumble about his newest invention/project.

After a couple of minutes he noticed that noone was listening to him, everyone ignored his monologue. He went quiet but as soon as he did so, he Heard "will you continue or..?" It was ofc reader. They were so interested and amazed by his imagination that they couldn’t stop listening to him!

After awhile, when he was done with his speech, reader and April had to go, bc you know, school and stuff. BUT before they did, reader remembered something, they came up to Donnie and gave him some materials he said he needed the previous week "OH! I almost forgot! You were rumbling about missing parts to your projects, and how you didn’t have luck nor time to find and get them, so i just thought im gonna get them for you…here!” And donnie just stares at reader with this shining eyes and slight blush

Donnie was used to being ignored. Truly he was. Still he would often talk about what he was working on to possibly find a solution to an issue, even if no one was listening.

So here he sat, in the living room with everyone else, yapping away about all the modifications he made on the Turtle Tank. Everyone else was doing something. Leo was reading a comic, Mikey was drawing, Splinter was watching tv, while Raph, April, and Casey all played a game. Donnie was tired of no one paying attention so he just stopped talking. No one moved.

"Are you gonna keep going?" He hears you ask. He turned to his right, seeing you sitting on the chair next to the couch. Donnie didn't even remember you coming in. He smiled slightly and continued his rambling, directing it at just you now. Of course he was making it sound so much cooler than it was... This is Donnie after all.

After a few hours of talking about his inventions, April tapped you and said it was time to go. Donnie was a little disappointed, he was finally excited to talk about an invention. He deflated a little, watching you leave. But suddenly you come running back in.

"Oh! Um... You mentioned last week that you were having trouble finding some parts and..." Donnie watched as you opened your back pack and handed him a few of the parts he'd been searching for. "I... I had some extra time and found them for you."

Donnie's cheeks heated up as he watched you run off. He was blushing? Impossible, Donnie doesn't blush. Still the fact that you went out of your way to find the parts he couldn't get his hands on made his heart race a bit.

"Ooooo! Donnie has a crush!" He heard Leo and Mikey laugh and nudge him as they walk by.

Crush? Donnie? Please, that's simply imaginary. Donnie doesn't do crushes.

"And someone's got a crush on Donnie." Raph chuckles, patting Donnie's back as he makes his way to his room.

A crush? You have a crush on Donnie? Why would anyone have a crush on Donnie? Now that's a tall tale, much like dragons but not Bigfoot, the Loch Ness Monster, or Pizzasaurus.

He shakes his head, not wanting to believe it. He stands up and walks to his room, trying to think of other possible solutions. Why would anyone like him? He's a freak. Not even his brothers like listening to his ramblings.

Then Donnie comes to the same conclusion as Mikey and Leo. He has a crush on you, but that doesn't explain your actions towards him... No. He still doesn't believe it.

He refuses.

Hi I don’t know if you’re accepting 2012 fic recommendations but here’s one of my favorites just in case.

It’s a fic about the turtles essentially splitting up and going their own way (however it’s focused on Mikey, but in another fic the author wrote focuses on the other turtles too)

Donnie and April end up going to the UK, Raph and Casey end up going somewhere else and Leo and Karai go to Japan. The Mighty Mutanimals pack up and leave somewhere else.

Mikey, still remains in New York with just himself and Ice Cream Kitty. (Now just a little warning, this fic can be extremely angsty so I’d recommend reading the tags before you try it.)

The fic is extremely good and Mikey ends up by the end turning into kinda like a mix/fusion of SAINW Mikey and the Ronin. (Also another thing the author said that in the sequel there will be comfort for all the angst that is in this fic)

Here it is (finally) the reference sheet for my au, "It's a Complicated Equation".

Plot

While this au is pretty similar to the original timelines, there are several noticable differences that sets it apart. Unlike other aus, events took place in such a way that the apocalypse never occurred. Meaning that the turtles were never traumatized, nor ever met Casey Jones.

Another difference is that Lou Jitsu never raised the children. Being a superstar for all his life, Lou Jitsu just didn't want or have what it took to be a parent. At a young age, the Turtle tots were just dumped somewhere in a rain soaked cardboard box, while Lou Jitsu set out to find new fortune and glory in the Hidden City.

(Still a work in progress. Im not going to give everything away just yet :3)

Character Bios

Donnie: Medical special needs child. Literally lost an arm in a fight or something, and now doesn't go on missions anymore with the bros. He does make inventions to help his siblings tho, and is actually best buddies with Kendra (they met at April's school when they were a lot younger, and ended up bonding over their shared favorite color, Purple, and their higher brain power. These two will literally kill for each other, lol). Even if he doesn't show it, Donnie actually wants to be hugged and/or loved and appreciated, he just doesn't know how to ask for it. He has a bad(?) habit of imprinting on parent aged adults. When he's attached to someone, he will do anything to make them like him.

Mikey: Sweet innocent child/master of psychological manipulation. Ever since he discovered his mystic powers, he has had a very good understanding and control over them. Donnie created him a pair of gloves to protect his hands while using his powers. They also limit and measure the amount of energy he is using, so that he doesn't use too much, or hurt himself. Lastly, they carry sedatives in the case that Mikey loses control and needs to be stopped. Mikey is loved by all his siblings. But he can be a real gremlin when he wants to, knowing that he can get away with it.

Leo: Due to the way this universe happened, the events leading up to the krang invasion happened in such a way that the key was lost, and never recovered. Meaning that Leo never had to really mature and take it leadership. Unlike many other poor Leonardos, Leo is able to be his carefree, joking, self-confident little self. He takes his big brother role seriously, being lovingly protective, and annoying, to his two little bros. Seriously though, he would do anything the protect the younger turtles of the group. If Mikey is hurt or sad, he's right there. If Donnie is getting picked on, he is more than willing to beat up who ever the jerk is. He loves his family with a passion.

Raph: When they were just children, Lou Jitsu ended up abandoning them, deciding the job of parenting was too much for a recently mutated actor. Besides, there was still glory to get in this new Hidden City. This forced Raph to take up the role of caretaker and parent at a very young age. He has successfully raised his three siblings all on his own, and although they still see him as their brother, the other turtles affectionately refer to him as 'Mama Raph'.

so i just want to talk about the whole donnie and april thing from the 2012 series since i have a lot of thoughts on them both and need somewhere to just. get it out my system.

so off the bat im gonna say i’m pretty neutral about the april/donnie ship. i.. don’t really care for it but if it’s there it’s not gonna overly bother me. i’m pretty much on the fence for most things tmnt ship related (though, big exception for woodyangelo just cus. lol) that being said i do have some thoughts about how it was handled in the 2012 show.

as most people might agree, the writing for these two wasn’t great. i think, just in my humble opinion, that the writers kinda ping ponged back and forth depending on fandom criticism of the ship. one minute the relationship seemed to be slowly developing, a nice easy slow burn and then it’d take a sharp turn and it was back to a lot of uncomfortable pining and uncertainty as to where they would both end up. i think the writers wanted to appease both ends of the fandom here by making it somewhat ambiguous but it kinda blew up in their faces. big time.

so then you have the people who put all the blame on april for this. “she’s leading donnie on!” “she’s playing with both donnie and casey!” “she just wants the attention!” and, yeah. maybe. but here’s my defence: (bad writing aside for a moment, let’s pretend that all of this was done on purpose) april doesn’t know what she wants. when we meet april in the show it’s evident that she’s a little dorky and uncool and she doesn’t have ANY friends. she has irma but it seems to be one of those friendships built out of pure convenience. “oh you don’t have friends, i don’t have friends. cool. let’s hang out.” in every scene they have together it’s awkward and weird because they don’t really seem to click. april has like, as little social skills as the turtles. she doesn’t have friends let alone have TWO guys show her any appreciation and affection. how is she supposed to know how to deal with all that? she’s a teenage girl, feelings are complicated.

and some people might blame donnie. “he kept persisting even when she gave clear hints” “he was being a weirdo about it” “he made her uncomfortable” donnie is a teenage boy who happens to be a mutant. a mutant that lives underground and had never even MET a girl until they saved april. donnie’s only point of reference for romance is what he’s most likely seen on tv or in books. it’s that really cheesy affectionate stuff that might work in movies, but in real life is just strange. donnie has even less social skills that april. he’s only ever had his brothers and dad to talk to. he doesn’t know how to communicate his feelings properly because up until he met april, he probably never even knew what it was to have a crush on somebody

my headcanon for these two is that donnie is clearly autistic. he’s very overly empathetic towards april but can’t understand why his efforts aren’t paying off like he thinks they will. i think april being a young teenage girl with a lot on her plate, might not recognise why donnie is acting this way. ive seen a lot of people also headcanon that april is aromantic which i totally 100% love and agree with. i don’t think she recognises this in the way donnie recognises his own autism. it causes them to clash, and neither of them really understand why that is, and can’t quite communicate it to the other until they’ve figured themselves out.

a lot of people say that 2012 ruined the donnie and april friendship that was pretty strong throughout the franchise but honestly, even the 2003 show had pepperings of donnie’s slight crush on april, even back then. it’s not as obvious but it was definitely there. obviously it never got brought up, which imo is a little heartbreaking to think of poor don harbouring these secret feelings for his friend and then having to just. get over it when she marries casey but i think their friendship is still pretty special to them both that it eventually stops becoming an issue for him.

2012 donnie was a social wreck. he had no clue what he was doing and i think the writers could have done waaaay better in making that less of a fault and more of just. idk. just something that made people hate him a little less. it’s in the same vein as mikey’s adhd. i think the writing was a product of its time and that’s why mutant mayhem tackles those issues way way better than 2012 ever did.

it could also be said that donnie and april don’t even really have a lot in common, like some iterations. she’s smart but she’s not a scientist, and donnie’s crush is first of all born out of just physical looks, meaning that maybe donnie just happened to latch onto her because he felt a teeny glimpse of normality (“i could love a girl and she could love me back”) and kinda just held onto that. any of the other girls in the show, donnie doesn’t really draw himself towards but that’s because the other girls are mostly his brothers love interests and donnie is a firm believing in sticking to the bro code lmao (although maybe just from mikey’s perspective, but donnie does seem quite friendly with renet but that might have just been a 2003 callback perhaps, but they have more in common than her and mikey do)

all in all, the donnie/april thing could have been handled way better, especially with casey thrown into the mix. but is there one person solely responsible for the way their relationship played out? absolutely not. they both crossed some boundaries and both made some mistakes that backfired but like i said, they are far from perfect and looking back on their arc together, it’s a little heartbreaking to see how.. unsure they both are, of themselves and of each other. but that’s just my two cent on the whole thing.

i don’t think female characters were the 2012 writers strong point sadly and april suffered as a result but i genuinely think in her good moments, she shines. and donnie isn’t a creep, he’s just a good kid that wants to find his own happiness, even if he looks in the wrong places, both their intentions are good, i believe.

explanation of my au!!

buckle up i yap alot

OK SO everything is after the show ended. Maybe some changes in the show here and there but that's it.

My au of the turtles also mash up with the idea of a 'yokai city' of rottmnt but more of a secret mutant society (i haven't watched rottmnt so that's all i can do :,,)) They all have charms of their clan and those charms let them shapeshift into human by giving a drop of their blood. Kinda like a contract in a way? they sealed the charms with an oath and blood, so only the rightful owner can shapeshift.

Raph, Mikey, Leatherhead, and Fishface team up and move to another state. Mikey and Raph have human jobs while Leatherhead and Fishface face off bad guys at night, Raph and Mikey being their backup team. Raph is a Makeup Artist, promoting his work online with millions of followers. Mikey's part-time as a pizza delivery guy, full-time as Raph's manager (confirming orders, organizing dates, money transfer, ect.)

Leo and Donnie, on the other hand, stay in NYC. Leo, being the new clan leader, is accompanied by Karai who is the new Foot clan leader. There's also Casey, who works as their mechanic, and also April. The five of them work to seek revenge for others. Kinda like the kdrama 'Taxi Driver'. April's the one who gets the calls, arranges the meetings, and confirms that the victim would like the team to proceed. Her job as a flight attendant helps with bigger villains (CEOs, Superstars, ect.) as she would be the one attending them for their flights.

Karai has a ton of connections as her clan works and moves all around the world, so,,, she's also filthy rich. But because of this, Raph and Mikey get notified by the others that there are Foot clan sightings. The four of them assume that there was a new Shredder and a new villain would arise. So, Raph and Mikey go back to NYC and try to infiltrate one of their bases. Ending up in a fight where Raph and Mikey find out that the Foot clan was led by Karai.

Karai explains their goals of seeking revenge for others, Mikey loving the idea, Raph,,, not so much. The four turtles bonded and hung out with each other until Leo had to spy on one of their new targets: a rich corrupt CEO at a bar nearby

Now, Leo's part of the job was one of the most dangerous and mind-bending for his own mental health. Not only was he a spy, he used his human form/human body to seduce the targets. (u prolly know where im going with this but i wont explain further)

The other HATED the idea, Raph was the most vocal about his opinion. But, it was one of the most effective and easy ways to get into the secret files and other evil stuff of their targets.

One of the most specific customers they had was Tiger Claw. Tiger Claw has a human daughter in her 20s. As a father, he still watched over her in the shadows. But, his daughter was kidnapped. He tried to follow the people who kidnapped his daughter, only to find out tens of other women who had the same fate as her. So he went to the Foot via a little poster he saw on a telephone pole. AND HERE WE ARE!! That's all I have for now ^^

i know this is a pretty sad concept but im a sucker for angst and i need more of it in this fandom tbh lol i hope this is ok to request!!

I love when y’all say this bc I fucking love writing angst bc I get to interpret Leo and the reader’s dynamic. And I do agree that we need more, I love fluff but cmonnnnn 😩

Prompt: When you go into a coma after the Kraang Battle, Leo takes it harder than the rest of his brothers.

“C’mon, (Y/N),” Leo urged them as he carried them towards the Med Bay within the lair, “stay with me!”

Their eyelids flickered, staring up at the turtle. “Leo… I wanna… I wanna sleep..”

“No!” Leo somewhat shouted at them. “Don’t go to sleep! Just keep looking at me, baby. We’re gonna get you fixed up. Just keep your eyes on me.”

But little could be done. Their boyfriend focused and unfocused in and out of their vision. “Leo… am I gonna die…?”

He stared down at them, a look of anguish defining his features. In all honesty, he didn’t know. When Raph threw the debris off of your still form, all he saw was blood. Blood and ash from the crumbling building. Adrenaline stopped him from standing and staring too long as he instantly scooped her up and headed to the lair with the rest of his brothers.

Leo couldn’t lie to them. “Just keep looking at me. Don’t close your eyes.”

Right from the very beginning of the invasion, he had told (Y/N) to stay behind in the lair. They were as stubborn as always and followed Splinter and April to the surface, and he only knew of this when he heard them on the mics they all had on them. He’d told them to go back to safety, but they were determined to help him and his brothers defeat the Kraang. The last thing Leo had heard from them was a scream and then their mic cut out.

When Leo entered the Med Bay, he shouted for Donnie as he gently laid (Y/N)—who’d passed out by now—down on a vacant gurney.

The purple clad turtle rushed into the room with a box containing Saline solution. He hooked it onto the IV pole and attempted to find a vein within (Y/N)’s arm before Leo piped up.

“They don’t need that!” The turtle exclaimed as he grabbed Donnie’s shoulder. “You have to stop the bleeding! They’re bleeding from somewhere!”

Shrugging his hand off and sneering, Donnie finally pushed the needle into their arm. “It doesn’t work like that, Leo. They need fluids before I can do anything.”

Just then, the blue clad turtle realized he’d been shaking the entire time. Shaking with both anxiety and anger. “Donnie, they’re gonna fucking die! Don’t you realize that?! (Y/N)’s gonna—”

“Dammit, Leo!” The older twin bottled his fist, striking the floor in protest. “I’m trying my best! You’re distracting me so you need to leave!”

Everything seemed to go in slow motion after his brother’s demand. Leave? Leave them? After all they’d been through, he was just going to leave them alone? Leo went to say something, but then gazed down at his blood ridden hands and plastron. Thoughts rushed through his mind as the turtle began to breathe heavily.

This was his fault, he thought. If he had just let Raph get the key, the Kraang wouldn’t have been unleashed from the Prison Dimension. Casey wouldn’t have been raised in a post apocalyptic world. Everyone and everything would be normal. He should’ve been more deliberate in telling (Y/N) to go back underground rather. He was the cause of their pain and potential death.

He then suddenly felt a hand caressed his wrist, breaking him out of his pity party. “Leo, I need you to get a grip. (Y/N) will be fine if you let me help them. So, please. You have to go.”

“I…” is all Leo could utter before Donnie returned to (Y/N) to tend to their wounds.

Despite the harshness of his words, they stuck in the blue turtle’s mind. His partner was dying and harassing their only help wasn’t useful. There didn’t need to be anymore blood on his hands. He’d fucked up enough already, he thought.

For the next few days, Leo slept at the entrance of the Med Bay. Donnie didn’t allow him to see them until they were stabilized. The brothers had argued the first and second time, the younger twin claiming he had every right to see his partner no matter their condition. Donnie argued that (Y/N) still needed to be moderated and didn’t need Leo to stress them out.

(Y/N) had developed seizures that lasted longer the more they occurred, forcing the scientist to put them in a medically induced coma. His twin wasn’t happy about that either on the grounds of the improbability of them ever waking up.

“Leo, this isn’t a debate.” Donnie groaned as he stood behind the glass at Med Bay entrance with another IV bag in his hand. “(Y/N) needs time to heal and coming in to profusely ask them if they’re okay isn’t helpful.”

A fist formed at Leo’s side, glaring at his brother. “All I’m asking for is to see them.”

Donatello shook his head with a sigh. “You don’t want to see them right now. Trust me.”

“Then—” but again, his brother ambled further into the Med Bay, blatantly ignoring him.

It made him angry that he wasn’t being heard. Earlier that day the first argument ensued, Leo had witnessed Raph enter the Med Bay as he was returning from breakfast with his youngest brother. The twin pounded on the door demanding to be let in, but he wasn’t sure if they had even heard him or his older brothers were ignoring his pleas.

The idea of what (Y/N) was going through provoked instant nausea, leading Leo to stay in the bathroom by the toilet for hours. Nothing stayed down and it was as if he made himself physically sick from worry.

Eventually, Mikey grew concerned when he’d heard dry heaving and entered the bathroom only to be turned away.

“I’m alright, Mikey.” Leo reassured him. “Please just leave.”

The youngest brother didn’t know exactly what to say. This was Raph’s area of expertise. He would’ve said something motivational or profound, but all the orange clad turtle could do was crouch down next to him and place his hand against Leo’s shell as he expelled into the toilet once more.

In a way, Mikey had been left in the dark with (Y/N)’s condition, too. He assumed Donnie thought he’d tell Leo what was going on with him. But looking at his lethargic brother now, he felt like he owed him some kind of update.

So later that day, Mikey took it upon himself to call his brother and plead with him to let him or Leo know how (Y/N) was doing.

“Don, Leo’s losing it. He was literally throwing up just a few hours ago. Why can’t you just tell me what’s happening with them. Just to keep him from—”

“Mikey,” Donnie cut him off, “did he put you up to this?”

The orange turtle furrowed his eyebrows. “Wha—no! I said I—”

Through the phone, Mikey heard loud pounding footsteps grow louder until they paused and he heard the voice of his oldest brother. “Listen, Mikey. I know you and Leo are worried about them, but you have to understand that we don’t even fully know their condition. We will let you know when (Y/N) is better.”

The youngest turtle attempted to say something else, but the call dropped right after Raph had finished his sentence.

A week passed. (Y/N) was still in the coma and Leo was still sleeping at the Med Bay entrance. In fact, he’d gone from sleeping there to basically moving his entire room into the narrow space.

One night on his way out of the wing, Donnie almost tripped over the younger twin and the spread of comic books and blankets scattered across the floor. The scientist grumbled in frustration, gazing down at the mess.

He squatted down to his brother’s side and shook him slightly. “Leo, wake up. You can’t sleep here anymore if you’re gonna leave all this here.”

Leo glanced at him before snatching his shoulder away, turning the opposite way. “I can sleep wherever I want.”

“Sure—but not where people can trip over you.” He began collecting the comics, placing them into neat stacks.

The blue turtle sized Donnie up as he organized his comics before sighing. “Do you even care? You’re seriously more concerned about everybody else tripping over someone—your own brother—that’s been sleeping on the floor for over a week?”

Donnie grumbled as he set the final comics down on the stack. “I do care, Leo. My problem is you don’t trust me. You know I know what I’m doing. Just trust that I will tell you when (Y/N) is better.”

“But I don’t!” He swiped his hand through the middle on the comic pile, swiftly knocking it over. Leo leapt to his feet, Donnie copying his action. “I don’t fucking trust you. It’s been a week and I don’t even know if (Y/N) is alive! Them ending up like this is my fault so I should be allowed to have a part in this. I’ve literally been sick to my fucking stomach for days and you just don’t give a fuck. So no, I don’t trust you. Not with this, Donnie.”

The scientist’s expression remained stoic, which only pissed off Leo more.

Realistically, Donnie did care to an extent. He cared that his brother was getting physically sick from worry. He cared that his brother was sleeping at the entrance of the Med Bay. But he knew all Leo’s worries would be resolved if (Y/N) was awake and stable. If Leo saw how they looked right now, he’d surely break down and act the way he did when he first brought them to the lair.

Right now, (Y/N) was covered in needles leading to IV bags full of various fluids as well as an oxygen and feeding tube. Before they and Leo started dating, (Y/N) would hang out in Donnie’s lab. Most of the time, they would talk his ear off about subjectively meaningless topics. Other times, they’d help him out. The two grew closer until Leo swooped in and ruined everything. They didn’t talk to Donnie as often, mostly going out somewhere with their boyfriend.

To Donnie, his brother’s current demeanor was unjustified. For years, Leo had (Y/N) all to himself. Would it kill him to be without them for a few weeks? He’d stolen his friend, and while what the older twin was doing wasn’t intentionally vindictive, he didn’t feel all that bad for Leo.

The older twin pinched the bridge of his nose and exhaled. “Listen… I’m doing my best to get (Y/N) stable enough for you to see them. I’m not a miracle worker—I’m not even a doctor. Anger—no, malice suddenly consumed Leo as he stared daggers into the back of Donnie’s head. Who the fuck did he think he was? “They were mine before they were yours”. (Y/N) had always been his. And why did he feel the need to bring it up at this moment in time? What was his point in saying that?

Malice soon took control of his body as he flew past the glass doors, charging at his older twin.

RISE OF THE TMNT

Initium Novum (#inau) Told from the perspective of an OC (lost turtle sibling called Masaccio (Acie)), takes place during the show and has a lot of other OCs in it if that's not your jam

What Do You Do When You Fall Into Heaven? (#fihau) Told from multiple perspectives, takes place during/after the movie and is a hurt/comfort. The same cast as Initium Novum, with some additions :) I really wanted to write the future guys man they all show up at some point

Who's That Hamato? (#wthau) Kind of an au of Initium Novum, it's what if Acie was also taken in by Splinter. Explores a different facet of them, explores how their relationships would be different in a different situation.

We Have Got To Stop Meeting New People Like This (#snpau) Another Initium Novum/WDYDWYFIH au but this one's Ninjago :) Similar to House of the Rising Sun (Shells) in that the Merge caused their world to join the Merged Realms, they all explore this new world and Acie gets to go nuts.

Boys of Summer (#bosau) Non-OC au, it's another separated au throw the confetti throw the sparkles- Leo focused, he's still with Splinter but Draxum is there as well and has been redeemed, the others found their own ways out of the lab and ended up in different places.

Rise from the Dead (#rftdau) Non-OC au, puts a ghostly spin on the story. The turtles are all ghosts that only April can see. There's no yokai and no mystics, but multiple yokai characters are still in the story, just as humans.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Critters (#tmncau) Sort of Minecraft au but not really, I just really really love the fanon Minecraft hybrids so I made the turtles into them :). They're mutants still but they've got distinctly Minecraft hybrid traits I've put sooo much thought into the traits for all the different hybrids it's so fun

Shell From Another Realm (#sfarau) A Rise/Ninjago crossover au, takes place post-Rise movie and post-Crystalized pre-Dragon's Rising. The turtles, April, and Casey end up in the world of Ninjago and try to find their way home while also trying to figure out this new world.

House of the Rising Sun (Shells) (#hotrsau) Another Rise/Ninjago crossover au, completely separate from the previous one in that this takes place during Dragon's Rising instead. When the Merge caused all the Realms to collide, Earth was one of them, and everyone ended up scattered across the Merged Realms. The Hamatos decide to settle in the Crossroads and meet some young faces.

NINJAGO

Some Assembly Required (#sarau) Completely rewrites the entire thing, based on the question "what if the bite from the Devourer didn't turn Garmadon evil and instead made him sick?" Garmadon is good and raising his children, the kids aren't really as in tune with their elemental powers, and I made a bunch of lore for it around the dragons and the other elemental masters please ask me about it please please /lh (has a couple ocs but not very many) (pretty shippy, a lot of poly relationships)

Web of Destiny (#wodau) Spiderman au, all six main ninja are a group of heroes, with Pixal as a vigilante. Other characters from the series feature as villains. The Dragons Rising cast also features.

The Dragon's Samurai (#tdsau) Crystalized ending rewrite, Pixal focused. Asking "what if their golden powers went haywire after they sent them to Lloyd, causing them to lose themselves? Also what if Nya got a golden form I'm so sad she didn't get one" Basically they get taken over by their powers and Pixal has to go talk some sense into them I lOVE PIXAL SO MUCH DO YOU UNDERST

Abnormal Reaction (#arau) DO YOU GUYS LIKE THE BIZARROS BECAUSE I DO this is entirely me wanting to have a Bizarro au they don't die after getting dusted they just regroup somewhere else and decide to go do their own thing after Garmadon gets defeated

A Different Vision of the Future (#advotfau) I'm lowkey embarrassed about this one lmAO it's a Genshin au,,,,, I probably won't write a fic for it like I will with the others but I wanted to draw it and explore the concept I don't even play Genshin anymore I'm crying

Ready Your Triforce, It's About To Have More Sides (#rytau) Do you guys like Breath of the Wild :) I like Breath of the Wild :) BotW/Ninjago crossover au besties they all end up in different points in time and get to interact with different pEOPLE lots of me messing around with dynamics

staring up at the sky (and hoping to see your face) (#suatsau) Veeeeery self indulgent self discovery au. Everyone but Lloyd is this almost godlike ruler of different concepts and they give him the chance to leave everything to come join them, and he has to make that decision.

Ninjas & Normies (#nanau) They're all just normal college students who like to play D&D, they each get a chance to run a campaign once they're taught how to play. Each campaign is based off a plot point or season from the show.

Departed and Service (#dasau) BASED ON Five Nights at Freddys NOT ACTUALLY A FNAF AU I don't know NEARLY enough about the fnaf lore to make an actual au with it but they're all animatronic characters from a very popular kid's TV show and Morro and Pixal are employees at their party place :) A bunch of side characters show up in this (Dragon's Rising cast also appears)

SPINJITZOON! (#spinau) It's a Splatoon au they're all having fun Ronin is basically Grizz he messes with their weapons and makes them more powerful (Dragon's Rising cast appears)

Pokemon Spin and Pokemon Whip (#pspwau) Pokemon au!!! There's two different parts to this, the first one starring Kai Nya and Lloyd, and the second starring Arin Sora Wyldfyre and Euphrasia! They all go on their adventures and in the second part Kai Nya and Lloyd see themselves in these kids and want to help them go farther

Adventures of the Dragon (#aotdau) Another D&D au but this one is them just living in a D&D fantasy style world :) silly things ensue this one's more just art than fully written story

Shapes and Colors (#sacau) Minecraft au! They're a group of friends who play on a server together and some of them are streamers and youtubers who record these sessions and put it out there for their fans, some of them do lore while some of them have no idea what's going on any of the time. Other elemental masters and Dragons Rising characters appear. (shippy, but mostly with their little characters that they made for the lore)

Lights, Camera, Action! (#lcaau) Silly actor au! Not much else to it

Song of the Sirens (#sotsau) Mermaid au, some of them are pirates and others are mermaids. Just some fun dynamics with some human/nonhuman shipping :)

Mobs of a Feather Flock Together (#moafftau) Another,, another Minecraft au this one is like Adventures of the Dragon in that they live in this world and also they're all different Minecraft hybrids I got really really into Minecraft hybrids man I just really like to draw them,,,, Dragons Rising cast is included

Ninjagoing Going Gone (#gggau) Sort of Scooby Doo-esque mystery au, kind of a blend between movieverse and showverse. Starring Arin, Sora, Wyldfyre, and Euphrasia, they're looking for the old heroes they used to hear about as kids who completely disappeared years ago. They find Lloyd and force him convince him to help them, even though he's not so sure he can.

1. the character everyone gets wrong

I will say i blame no one its basically a non issue but i do find evil au draxums very funny. Like! he little is a villian he DID want to destory humanity he does have a villain music number. all true. also his turning sides is s2 so. BUT ANYWAY. very funny to have him be like. evil maybe abusive dad type in aus. im sorry the guy who using 2 tiny incompetent gargoyles as henchmen/paldrons... he lets em sleep in the little dog bed..... 🥺. Hes a cartoon villian but hes got offers dental typa guy... imho.

Also personal i think these a tendacy to lean donnies personality too far in any direction. why nerf his autism swag like that... he drinks flavourless juice AND invented the messiest nasty looking sandwich ever. sometimes he does not like touch sometimes he throws his dad into the air to hug him. he has LAYERS.

LAST THING. my bro said to mention gay coded leo cause "im homophobic". jhgfdb. I just didnt read him as particularly more queer coded than his brothers.... theyre ALL a little flamboyant okaayyyyyyy. turtles are lgbtq (what all at once? yes.)

12. the unpopular character that you actually like and why more people should like them

are there unpopular characters in rise kinda feel... not really. ILL SAY. Casey senior just cause she kinda takes the back seat after movie with casey jr..... do yall understand how many fake outs she was.... you could think shes karai due to being in the foot clan or maybe think shed get mutated into mona lisa (her voice actress played the one in 12!).

BUT NAW! angry bruser, sporty, vigilanty CASEY JONES. I love her..... also that she joins the squad cause SPLINTER. was like. oh a troubled youth... they need guidance. extremely cute. 90s movie splinter moment. based. thing we were robbed of #587. Rise casey and raph BREAKING SHIT together. as fweinds....

18. it's absolutely criminal that the fandom has been sleeping on...

i really like thinking about the arcs we didnt get to see in unfinshed rest of season 2 and 3.... there was gonna be more mystic stuff, the family actually getting along with draxum more naturally.... GIRL TURTLES (<- dissolves into goo).

i wanna think about it. i wanna think about the raph leo becoming co leaders thing.... the showwww so so so primed for them working together and not having a direct hiercharly system fits cause this is the iteration they designed to be more like a typical family. that why splinter had a career that is not. ninja master. lol, thats why they are different ages (sorry to any quadruplets out there). and after the ages where the childhood developmental stages that are gonna favour the eldest sibling. Most siblings do not have one leader they have to listen to abt shit. [That aint a diss on how other iterations are its just a different essay lol...]

as for something that actually ended up IN the show... fav fav moment makes me cry when every i rewatch or even THINK ABOUT IT. The moment that lets Splinter reconcile the pain that the Hamato clan brought him, with the legacy, intention, and love, it was created with.

Under cut cause its some of the very last stuff that happened in the show.

The moment when Splinter's mom, (had to check ->), Atsuko shows up with the rest of the Hamato ancestors. she puts her hands next to splinter and she looks at him so so fondly and she repeats HIS action movie catch phrase. and THATS the moment Splinter, Hamato Yoshi can like. come to peace about the clans legacy.... Perfect culmination of his arc....

like it PROVES. his whole life the legacy of this clan was what was taking his family AWAY. his mom, probably his grandpa? he was suppose to let his sons GET MARTYRED. he left his family, as they had left him. but as they say anata wa hitori janai.... his mom still saw!!! HIS LIFE. his movies. Sees him as he grew, as a mutant, and the love between family is literally magic that keeps them together. THATS what Karai wanted it to be..... I jsut think we should talk about and the sad rat man healing from generation trauma. MAYBE. Cause he loves his mommy. [finally. A splinter with MOMMY ISSUES/BRICKED]

uhh so questions, lemme think… hmm do the turtles and co. run into any conflict with the foot clan? because i imagine they wouldn't be too fond of splinter because they thought he was dead and wanted to do experiments on him (speaking of which where did the foot clan get mutagen? is stockgen a thing) and now maybe they want to know more about them since they were still only testing mutagen. speaking of which, do a lot of official characters show up? how are they different from canon? do you have ocs? and judging by how the turtles were able to find casey, how often do they go to the surface? is it a casual thing where they like to explore or is it like in 2012 tmnt where splinter is very cautious about them heading out? how do they feel about humans outside of casey and april? do they get seen sometimes but then most people just are like "some turtle guys walking around just another day in NYC amiright" or do they try very hard not to be seen by people? does casey act different from spending so much time with the turtles? is there any places they like to hang out? how is their home in the sewers, is it like decorated n' stuff? do they all get to have a lot of personal area or is it kind of cramped? what stuff does donatello build, and do they have a version of the turtle van? how do the turtles go about resolving the occasional conflict? i imagine they don't fight as often as they do in some official stuff, but like do they get into silly squabbles often that aren't too serious? and when they are serious, how does everyone act? also, if mikey is similar to the 2018 one, then does he also kind of try to help his family in a lot of stuff when it comes to conflict? when it comes to villains and stuff, what kind of people do they fight against? is it more "we fight when we have to but generally try to avoid it" or is it more "i am going to go on a space adventure to fight the utroms or something WOO!" oh wait this ask is kinda long now. uhh well you don't have to answer everything!!!!! i just saw the post asking for asks and thought oh i like tmnt aus lemme try to ask as many questions as possible. sorry if it's kinda rambly!!! okay have a good day or night

okay so. the footclan originally think they died because. yk. mutagen. but when they find out they mutated (via mikey getting a little too clumsy on a suply run) they decide they need to make more mutagen. that's the first time that the turtles have to fight for the safety of the public. however, some mutagen does in fact get out in the bottled water, and some people are transformed

there will be a couple of canon characters - i've already mentioned usagi, and im adding barry just for kicks as a sheep mutant. and i've got an oc named dusty miller who im adding because i like him.

the turtles weren't supposed to leave the lair as kids, but casey happened to make the insane decision to hide in the sewers from his bullies, which is how he met them. over time they began to sneak out more and more until splinter found out and realized he couldn't stop them anyways, and started to train them more. just to be sure they could defend themselves

casey does end up picking up a couple habits from the turtles, like trying to mimick their sounds, ie growling or chirping. he also forgets he cannot in fact hold his breath for an hour underwater sometimes

they live in an abandoned subways station, and they each have a tent set up where they sleep. it's not super exciting or nice to look at, just like a regular homeless camp, but donnie made a power generator and they have a tv that works pretty well most of the time

donnie works mostly with junk he finds in scrapyards or pulls off of old trains, but when they run into the foot clan, he manages to steal some of their technology, which really helps him. they have a sort of turtle van which is an old volkswagen that they decked out and occasionally drive around town. they call it the shellraiser because i think that's a really funny name actually

they do get in a lot of fights. especially when it comes to donnie. he's really bad at tone and understanding when people are mad at him, so he will overreact and assume everyone hates him, which they don't, which inevitably pisses raph off, which upsets mikey, which upsets leo. mikey does his best to smooth things over by clarifying what people mean to donnie, but it doesn't always work, and that kind of affects mikey in. really negative ways. like he thinks he isn't important if he doesn't help people

the villains are mostly foot clan and some mutants. most of the turtles don't like fighting them, but leo is so obsessed with being a hero that she actively starts picking fights with the villains.

alrighty! so!! gumy's superhero au! (title in progress) - splinter is a former villain (toying with him having the villain alias Rat King, just for funsies), who captured the turtles while raiding a fellow villain base (part of the reason for the raid, actually!). soon after he gets them in custody, he realizes that due to the time commitment of having four children, he can either be a supervillain or a father. he chooses father, because he's only had these four for less than 24 hours but if anything happened to them hed kill everyone in the room and then himself etc etc. so, he leaves the supervillain life behind, and decides to not tell his sons about his past activities.

-(he still does crime on the side, though, because someone's gotta pay for college)

-however, this poses a problem later down the line, because as the turtles grow, they decide that their Number One Goal is to become a superhero team, together! they've even picked out a name, the Mighty Fighty Turtle Teens! (splinter's not sure whether he's more disappointed about the career choice or the name they chose).

(splinter loves these little guys tho, so he supports them even though he wishes they were choosing Literally Any Other Path In Life)

-the turtles are out goofing around/training when they run into april, who in this iteration is an overachieving high school student and aspiring reporter. she is doing a biopic/expose on a currently active supervillain (who is operating underground, no less!) for a high school journalism contest. the prize is like $100 max.

-i haven't quite solidified everything yet, but i want the turtles to infiltrate the heroes (shredder is the Top Hero Guy, because i think it would be funny) at some point, and i have many of the more emotional beats worked out as well!

-i've also worked out powers for all of the turtles + splinter, april, karai, and casey, but this is getting pretty long so i think i shall send it separately!

Some story ideas for space au, if I ever decide to write something for it.

April’s first flight: April takes a spaceship out for a spin when shes in junior flight school (yes i just made that up shhh). she ends up finding the turtles’ spaceship and docks on, and theres some fluff and silly stuff. That would be how she first meets the turtles.

Time portals: Mikey and Leo try combining their powers and go back to the past. Idk what would happen, I just really think there should’ve been more Mikey and Leo stuff in the show. more Mikey stuff in general tbh :/

Experimentation: Donnie tries to figure out what mystic powers are exactly, and decides to work with Draxum to figure it out. Draxum may end up betraying Donatello and stealing back the mystic weapons. Then there would be a bit of time where the gang would have to learn to not rely on their weapons as much as they do.

Krang Invasion: Much like the movie, the Krang attempt to take over a human colony on one of the planets. not too much to say, but i think it could have angst potential with the gang questioning why they keep protecting people if they’re still scared/angry at aliens/mutants. Just a little bit of doubt, a little bit of tearing up the family, for funnies. In the end i think they would keep protecting people because both humans and aliens are against the Krang.

Space Race: The turtles race!! In space!! and find out why you don’t want to overexert mystic powers. Leo would probably try and get ahead by creating a portal for his pod, but he’d overuse the sword’s power and damage it, causing a power outage in his ship.

Homeworld: one of the turtles crash lands on the abandoned Krang homeworld. I think it would be Raph maybe, just bc I think it would be cool character exploration. There’s not a lot of mystic power left on this deserted world, but i think this episode would cover the idea of mystic powers being living things. In the end, raph would get a portal home after defending a colony of mystic power (im gonna think of em like siphonophores or colonial organisms :]) from a krang vine or something. The mystic power would create a portal back to his home and everyone would be like “WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN” and hug and be a family.

alos. trying to think of how to bring casey into this. so maybe that last one .

Casey seems to have a faint smile on his face even as hes catching Karai taking said photo of them. Of course she would deny it and tell him she was simply seeing if she had any bars. Claiming she was bored, but it wasn't a good lie for once.

"Sometimes the three of us just sneak out to get away from the compound. It drives Shredder mad when ever we do, claims he doesn't want anything happening to us. Which is why I point out I brought Casey along for a reason. In truth it just feel so damn cramped in that place at times. Like i'm suffocating. Don't get me wrong sometimes I get a kick out of how the foot soldiers seem to sweat and shake at the mere thought of getting on my bad side, because they fear" she gives a roll of her eyes "dear old dad." The word come out bitterly before she continues to talk.

"Not when I with them however, I don't get hockey in truth I can follow the basic rules at least but well. It makes Casey happy." She smiles a little "I know Casey got it pretty tough" She just never fully knew the extent "And well sure hes annoying, and a pest a lot. Always hanging around to annoy me cause he just can..doesn't mean I don't feel he should get a break himself time to time."

But I feel this needs explanation so imma expose her here today. When picking these ring tones its meant to be a song that makes the my muse think of your for one reason or another. I just really feel this song fits well for Casey in this AU. Because Casey in a sense is made to feel sorry for being who he is because of Shredder. Karai is one who sort of falls for how Casey portrayals himself though with this over bearing confidence hes hiding behind in part Karai isn't fully blind and knows its not the full case, seeing how she dose like to try and sneak them out to places that makes Casey happy. Reminds him of his real family and such. But this is very much how Karai sees and views Casey as well. As someone who should be loud and proud of who he is. After everything happens? She keeps the song because this is how she wants Casey to live after knowing the truth.

She wants him to live Big to be obnoxiously and unapologeticly himself.

more about Casey: something I’ve felt for a long time and haven’t seen any people address is, I feel like at the beginning of the rivalry with Donnie, it was less fighting over April and a lot more Casey just reacting to Donnie being a dick to him?? It’s definitely in his own insane Casey Jones way. But, its a lot more Donnie seeing Casey as a sworn rival and Casey reacting to how badly Donnie treated him for seemingly no reason, than them being romantic rivals at first sight. later on there definitely are moments where Donnie gets to do something alone with April and Casey throws his little tantrum in the background, but honestly I don’t see Casey as viewing Donnie as a “threat”. It’s just how I read it but I feel like to Casey its more,,,,,, playful. I think back to the farmhouse arc and when Casey told Donnie to “dream on” after April kissed him and it just read more as a light-hearted moment to me than Casey being super serious about it. and that’s how I read a lot of the jealousy over April moments. If April and Donnie had gotten together in the early series I think Casey would be a bit upset. a kinda “ah man :/” because he DID really like April. and I do think he might have spoken up about it, but mostly because all he knew about Donnie was that he was a huge jerk to him. But if Casey and April had seriously gotten together in the early series? Donnie would have been sobbing in his lab for like. two weeks. minimum. (btw I love donnie but also I am going to bully him a little bit. just a little bit). also I def could be reading that all wrong but. to me that’s how it is. to me

ANYWAY i think casey would play the bass. he kinda sucks at it. he’s the kind of guy to play like three chords. pause. and go “ok here’s seven nation army :)”. he’s trying though. he and raph do have jam sessions every once in awhile. I think one of the most important things is that he’s kind. It’s at the heart of who he is, he just wants to help people. part of being a vigilante is being able to beat people up and have fun, but I think the most important part to him (even if not always obvious) is being able to do some good out there. he’s trying. he’s trying so hard. I love him ok raph time: going to be honest here and say that I’m still trying to figure out his character. pressing out the details and all of that, so im probably going to give more silly/fun headcanons for him

starting off with the one I hold most dear. I think that post canon he adopts a couple more turtles. turtle dad. casey begs him to get a softshell because he thinks they look ridiculous and raph agrees, but then ropes casey into also caring for the turtle. turtle dads, together. I think Donnie eventually gets him to respect science a little bit more after bringing him along to the junkyard to blow stuff up. power of Violence

I feel like Raph could get really into knitting or crocheting. type of guy to sit and knit while watching tv. he will kill you if you make fun of him but if you don’t you will be getting a fucking nice pair of socks ok my brains a bit fried so uhhhhhhhhh hhh thats all for now thank you for the ask !!!!!!!!

once again Comparing/Crossing over ROTTMNT with Something Else™. Today I bring you Fire Emblem Fates Rottmnt ! I'm thinking abt this as if it were an AU and the turtles take up the royal childrens' places. This is gonna be long, TLDR at the end.

First obv is deciding which side they're on and I do that by basing their personalities off of the other characters. So I was thinking Nohr. I think Hoshido would be a good fit for the sake of "Being The Good Guys" and Karai would make a great Mikoto, but the 4 siblings just. don't fit for the Rise Siblings, I don't think. Ryoma for Raph MAYBe works? Takumi for Leo or Donnie is like. Alright. I can't see Hinoka being anyone and Sakura is way too shy and (for lack of a better word) weak ? And I think I'd want April to be Corrin, only cuz I don't know who else Corrin could be.

I find the Nohr Siblings to be the best fit. Xander as Raph, alright I can see some differences but mainly I think it works. Camilla as Leo I think it alright. They're both laid back but deadly and. Look, they're both the face people. Kind of. Camilla is definitely self aware though. Leo as Donnie ??? literally a perfect match idc. I think it's a little funny that Leo doesn't fit Leo but oh well. Mikey for Elise also works really well I think, very friendly & the sunshine in everyone else's lives.

I have no idea who the Hoshido Siblings would be then but that's alright they don't matter here ..!! Azura I have /some/ thoughts for. My first was she's Venus de Milo (i know not rottmnt technically) but she could also just be Big Mama's Assistant since I feel like they're definitely supposed to be a turtle. I also have never read or seen anything where Venus was in so maybe their personalities don't fit at all. My second thought was Casey Jr. I don't have much to explain besides that I just . it makes sense in my head ? Like we don't know that much of Casey jr to begin with and maybe he's more excitable than Azura but !! Really don't know who else would be her !!! Someone help me !!!

Ughhhhh okay I know Draxum would be King Garon and the Dragon Form thing would be like Kuroi Yuroi Draxum but FUCKKK YOU UU!!! Hes my babygirl and im really upset You're making me do this ,, thats messed up,,,,,,, im just a little boy,,,,, who likes draxum ,,,,,,,,, how could u

The rest of Nohr is like the foot clan ig idk, Iago would be like Foot Lieutenant , Hans is Foot Brute .. I want Cass to be SOMEone but mm I have no clue who? Rinkha seeeems kind of close imo but she's not on Nohr's side so it might not be fitting? idk

April as Corrin also doesn't seem exactly right (mostly to me just cuz Corrin's the third youngest, but April's the oldest in the show) But it could still work I think kind of. Alternatively Casey could be Corrin? Might be a better fit? Then maybe April could be Azura ,, same 1st letter of their names ,,, But I think April Corrin works alright (especially if Karai is Mikoto :3) Mainly cuz I don't think April for Azura works that well, they're pretty different

Maybe the purple dragons are hoshido? or idfk the mudd dogs,, I don't think there's any other Group that has at least 3 members (besides the cookie scout girls but erm)

TL;DR: They're the Nohr siblings (Xander Raph, Camilla Leo, Leo Donnie, Elise Mikey, Corrin April), Draxum is King Garon (begrudgingly) and Azura is either Venus de Milo/BM's Assistant or Casey Jr :3
