Patalliro! is fascinating to me because of stuff like this. It's unapologetically gay - even within its anime which aired during primetime hours in 1982 - in a way that many later BL manga would never be, like the ones from the early 2000s which would never dare to call their characters actual homosexuals. Patalliro has actually aged quite well in this regard, there's something comforting about how campy it is.

I have a thought about the Trolls babies, so we see Tiny Diamond born and he is already walking and talking, later in the same movie we see this with a country Troll born and immediately doing chores, we also see Cooper born already walking talking and his iconic laugh.

originally I thought that these three trolls were exceptions to the rule with baby Poppy in the first movie as the baseline rule of she can't walk she barely talks and acts like a regular human baby BUT

What if Poppy was an early baby, like for Trolls an egg has been in the hair long enough for a fully matured hatch where they will be able to walk and talk even if they still have baby tendencies (as seen with Tiny Diamond) So Poppy may have been a pre-mature hatch which is why she was more like the regular babies we as humans know.

Yknow what I actually completely forgot about like, every other instance of baby trolls that weren't Tiny and Poppy so I rescind any previous statements n opinions abt trollings. This franchise has a surprising amount of characters being born on-screen.

So yeah I guess most baby trolls really DO just hatch out the egg already sentient and cognitive and able to do chores and sing and dance, it's just POPPY who was different. She came out the egg still mushy brained.

It would explain why she doesn't remember Viva. Viva says that she was there when Poppy was born. The word "born" being used specifically here is a bit confusing because I'm not sure if it referes to the moment a troll egg physically manifests from what I assume to be the sheer force of love felt between more than one troll (Guy Diamond excluded, that's a discussion for another time) or the moment a troll egg actually hatches. Viva also comments that compared to current Poppy, baby Poppy the last time she saw her was "teensier and weensier" which is either just how Viva describes baby trolls in general (she fun like that) or a literal comment about how baby Poppy was possibly smaller than other baby trolls. Maybe both. Probably both.

Her birth likely happened close to the day of the last Trollstice and pop village escaping Bergentown since Chef was already aware of her existance.

Tldr; Poppy was a pre-maturely hatched baby, that's why she looked ugly (affectionate). Do with this information what you will.

Honestly I always mostly just think of the [looks at notes] 3 managers Harry was friends with when thinking of what he lost but considering he's that old and has been jumping between franchises so much and also the fact Every Fucking Phoney (save for 3) got scrapped by the time we meet him; how much as this man lost? How many people he cared about has he seen die gruesome deaths again and again? Has he managed to find time to process this to grieve or has he just desensitized himself to the situation entirely? I wonder if some vague memory or reaction from how he dealt w this while in the war is how he keeps it at bay. the to be continued is important for things like finding out what happened at that hotel party, a fuller explaination for certain character actions, where the fuck nont was taken and by who, the opener scenes we havent seen yet, etc. but more important than that i will not lose hope for teena discovering a passion for sculpting and making penis statues i simply wont compromise on this!!! side quest where he gets into designing dildos but honestly that one ill accept as being farfetched

it's highly curious that people take the "susie chases off both meta knight and dark meta knight" intro gag in star allies so seriously

while ignoring literally all the rest

like guys there's literally one gag where taranza kidnaps dedede again. and another one where daroach steals magolor's ship. and another one where chef kawasaki tries to cook coo and/or birdon (this cutscene has variations)

there's even a gag where kirby, meta knight and susie pose together that contradicts the "meta is still traumatized by susie" notion that the other gag seems to make people believe

why do you only care about one gag specifically and ignore the rest

i don't think these gags are meant to be taken seriously. they're not canonically confirmed to happen. it's all jokes. you can use them for headcanon fuel but don't treat them like they're actually canon

i just think it's blatantly biased to only take one into account

people LEGITIMATELY act like the susie/mk/dmk one is canon for some reason when it's not. why.

i don't care if you headcanon that stuff but don't treat it like its real.
