what would your qijiu baby shen yuan omegaverse au look like in a world where YQY came back for sj in time/already told him the truth about Xuan Su years ago? Im so sorry but the concept of qijiu baby sy just has its hooks deep in my heart...
So I’ve already started writing a version of this where they reunite at the IAC but SJ assumes yqy was kept at CQMS because of his omega status (not completely wrong but one of the factors) and is more understanding of it. Their teen romance is met with the barrier of everyone around them caring too much about impropriety so they sneak around and eventully get together organically. It helps that they are immediately marked down as each others heat/rut partners. Originally they planned on marrying right before their peak lord ascension but the sect pushes it until afterwards for the optics of two peak lords being this united blah blah blah
In this version, I’m certain SY would be raised to be a QDP disciple because SQQ is going to make sure his spawn inherits the most power possible. Also he can be as terrible to his own disciples without SY’s soft heart getting in the way. However, being the nerd he is, SY spends as much times on QJP as he can get away with, rifling through the bestiaries that just can’t be found on CQMS. It becomes clear to QiJiu that this kid is Not gonna wanna be sect leader and it's a well worn argument between them.
(alternatively in the world of the father oh father fic he'd joing QJP because SJ is trying very hard to impress him and worm his way into his affections without having QDP poison SY against him.)
Binghe still joins under QJP and everything goes like it normally would until SY realizes he missed the protagonist joining the sect and suddenly pivots to spending 75% of his time there. SQQ is pleased and suspicious of this in turn until he realizes SY has taken LBH on as a pet project.
(there's a furtive discussion between qijiu that they should have let SY keep at least one of the injured monsters he's brought over the years 'this is your fault qi-ge' 'xiao jiu i'm allergic-' 'then die!')
meanwhile binghe is on his very best behavior trying to win over his in-laws. I haven't decided, but there's no abyss arc here some other shenanigans happen as a result of SY and SQH figuring each other out years before.

your day sounds good!!! i’m still exhausted and i have a busy weekend but it’s almost half term :))
me and one of my friends are currently obsessing over taylor swift (it’s been a long stream of messages and proof for a single at midnight!!!!)
i feel pretty shitty and i got a crap grade on a bio test the other day (36% which is a 4 (a fail) so i have to retake it, but my teacher hasn’t told me when?!?!?) but i got my chem test back and i got 38/45!!! it’s a high 7 (an A!!!) (75%)
my heads hurting and i feel just a like i need a big hug 🫂
my english teacher asked me if i was okay, and so did my drama teacher and i think it’s because i’m quite chatty to them normally and i was literally dying in english since it was getting quite loud in the classroom and things were going wrong (i would skip a word while writing in my book, and normally that’s okay, but like 4 years ago in my old school i was moved down sets (from top set) and it’s taken until the start of this year to be in top set again, and i feel like i need to prove that of that makes sense - even though i’d like to think i’m really good with english.
my art’s going well!!! i’m just finished some work and then my portfolio will be done (minus final piece / build up to that via planning and the writing part :)(

period talk below for a little bit
ngl i’ve cried like 4 times today and i’m on my period and it’s so fucking heavy (the purple tampons (the ‘super plus extra’ as they call them) was not enough for two hours.) it’s heavier in the morning and basically stops until evening after lunch but grrrrr… i have paleish pink/blue patterned sheets on my bed and if i’ve ruined them i’ll cry :(
my toes are cold as i’m typing this which isn’t very sexy :(
i’m going to ask my mum to pick up some crumpets from the shop so i can toast them at school :))))
oh my fucking god crumpets and marmite (with s little butter ofc) is actually heaven let me tell you

you dont have to prove that you’re on top. if you are stressing and you need like a break, it’s okay to take that break. —— i get the skipping over a word thing, i do that sometimes when taking notes and i need to catch up real quick. also i hate loud classrooms, like sometimes the kids just need to shut up. most of my classes are quiet tho but when they start talking, it can become loud. sometimes it’s a good thing, sometimes it’s not.

It’s not that Eddie Kaspbrak hated his mother. It felt nearly impossible to hate somebody that loved you so much. Too much, Eddie knew. His mother’s love was all-consuming, smothering and didn’t come free. The weight of it threatened to crush him at any given time, and he had to pay for it. He paid for it in freedom, and peace. He paid for it with a crushing weight in his gut and a tightness in his chest that wasn’t anything close to asthmatic. Eddie Kaspbrak was seventeen years old and he was one bad day away from erupting stomach ulcers.
Eddie didn’t slam his bedroom door, no matter how much he wanted to. He knew that it would only bring his mother to the bottom of the stairs to scream up at him. She wouldn’t make the trip all the way up just for the fight, but Eddie wasn’t in the mood to listen to her yelling anymore. He couldn’t really handle being in the same house as her right now.
Frowning, Eddie turned towards his bedroom window. He clenched his fists at his sides and bit down on his bottom lip. Eddie wondered for a moment if he was brave. He knew he’d been brave once before. He’d done brave things, things braver than most people his age could ever imagine doing. He’d seen things, been through things. Eddie Kaspbrak knew he was strong. He just forgot sometimes.
Since the Losers Club had started splitting up, moving across the country and overall falling apart, Eddie though he wasn’t as brave as he used to be. He rarely ever felt like the boy who’d stood up to his mother in the hospital, or kicked at a demon clown in the sewers while covered in sludge. He wondered if he had what it took to be that boy again, or if he was gone from his conscious forever.
Eddie grabbed the sweater that was hanging on the back of his desk chair, laid out for school the next morning, and figured that the only way to find that boy was to try and force him back out. Eddie pushed his window up and smiled as the chilly fall air hit his face. His mom always went full lock down this time of year. Allergies this, cold weather that. As a result, Eddie always spent the entirety of October stuck inside of the house when he wasn’t at school. Eddie craved fall with a sort of crazy intensity that he’d never experienced with anything before.
Eddie pulled his running shoes out from under his bed and quickly climbed out of the window frame. He froze for a moment, looking down at the two story fall that was threatening him, and squeezed his eyes shut. He took a short, shaking breath and reached for the tree branch. He leapt, smacking against the trunk as he wrapped his arms tightly around it and pressed his face against the rough wood. Eddie let out a loud, shaky breath and smiled against his own control. He let out a breathy laugh and looked up towards the starry sky. Mike Hanlon always told him that the stars weren’t as visible in other places— cities and high population states—with all the lights and cars. Eddie had always thought that the stars were pretty, but he swore on this night, they were an all new level of beautiful.
Eddie skimmed his way down the tree, clutching hard to each branch and reminding himself not to be afraid with every step down. He reached the ground on shaking legs, and pressed his hands over his mouth as he steadied himself. He laughed into his hands, attempting to stifle it as he glanced towards his living room window. He could see the shifting lights of the TV screen and he backed away slowly as though she’d be able to hear his steps from inside when he knew perfectly well that she couldn’t even hear the phone ringing in the same room as her when she was in front of the television set.
Eddie ran into his first problem when he got to the curb. He didn’t have any sort of plan, or any idea of where he was going. He pondered for a moment, but he knew he couldn’t just turn around and go back into his room when he’d already gotten so far. The momentary panic over where to go passed quickly. There was only one true answer either way.
Moving into their senior year of high school, The Losers Club was mostly dismantled. Beverly had left the same summer of IT, and Bill’s family had left not long into the school year. They’d moved clear across the ocean to get away from the haunting images of Georgie at every corner in town, and Eddie couldn’t blame them. He knew they all had ghosts in this town, but the Denbrough’s were much closer to the surface at any given point in time. Ben’s family had left during sophomore year, very suddenly. It had felt like one day he was there, and the next he simply… wasn’t anymore. Mike had been much further ahead in the curriculum when he’d switched into public school for high school, ending up a year ahead of the other Losers, and had already graduated. He’d started at the University of Bangor a month earlier, and though he came home every weekend, Eddie didn’t see him much anymore. And Stan- well, Eddie strongly supposed that Richie was the only person who still saw Stanley Uris outside of school, and mostly because Richie refused to let Stan push him away like he’d done with everybody else after IT. Eddie respected Richie’s friendship and loyalty to Stan, even when it made his stomach twinge with something icky and annoying when he thought about it for more than a short moment.
Eddie still saw Richie around, they ate lunch together most days and sat together in their classes, but in the last few months, something in their friendship had shifted. Eddie knew he was partly—okay mostly—responsible for the rift between them but he often told himself that it wasn’t as though Richie fought him on it either. Eddie wasn’t sure he wanted him to, because as much as he missed Richie something fierce, Eddie had some misgivings he had to work through on his own.
And yet, Eddie found his feet taking him to the Tozier house, standing in the backyard, looking up at Richie Tozier’s bedroom window. He paused for another moment, and was reaching for a second rock, when the window above opened slowly and a messy head of hair popped out. Eddie’s heart stuttered as he looked up, and he couldn’t hold back his grin.
“Eds?” Richie called out, and Eddie could barely see how his face crinkled up. Eddie waved in what he knew was a dorky fashion, but it didn’t matter much when it made Richie grin. “Isn’t it past your curfew?”
Eddie shrugged one shoulder. “What’s she going to do about it? Ground me?”
“You want me to let you in?” Richie asked.
“Nah.” Eddie said. “Come down here.”
“Okay…” Richie chuckled. “I’ll meet you at the front door. Which you could have just knocked on, by the way.”
“Where’s the fun in that?” Eddie asked with a waggle of his brows that he knew Richie wouldn’t be able to see even with his glasses on. Richie shook his head and closed the window, and Eddie half-skipped towards the Tozier’s front door. He was giddy with some sort of deep excitement that he didn’t want to put too much thought into. He felt as if he waited forever outside the Tozier house before Richie finally came out the door. He bounced over and kissed Eddie wetly on the cheek andEddie hoped that the darkness of the night time would cover up his flush. Richie’s arm wrapped around his shoulder, pressing Eddie against his side. “So, what’s the plan, my love?”
Eddie knew the darkness couldn’t cover up the full blush this time, and he turned his face away. Richie kept his arm around him. “I don’t know.” Eddie said honestly. “I didn’t really have a plan at all. I just saw my window and the next thing I knew, I was in a tree.”
“Little rebel Eds!” Richie cheered, jostling Eddie. “I always knew you had it in you! You’re braver than you think!”
“Thanks, Rich.” Eddie said bashfully. “But really, I don’t have any sort of plan. We could go to the Quarry or something? If you want to?”
“Nah.” Richie said. Eddie looked up, surprised, and his stomach jumped at the twinkle in Richie’s eye. “We can go to the Quarry anytime. This is your first time sneaking out, we gotta do something exciting. Something we’ve never done before.”
“I don’t think there’s anything in Derry that we’ve never done before.” Eddie said, his voice coming out just a little too sad. Richie frowned, his brow dipping down and Eddie’s heart fluttered as guilt ticked at the back of his neck. “But it’s fine, really, we can just—”
Richie grinned before he reached down and grabbed Eddie’s hand, beginning to tug him down the dark street. Eddie gasped as his feet hit the ground in a rush to keep up with Richie’s pace. He didn’t want to trip over his own feet, and drag them both down.
“Richie!” Eddie cried, half laughing, half gasping. He was terrified that he would trip and fall, but Richie didn’t seem to have any of those fears at all, taking large strides and Eddie didn’t feel out of breath at all. They took the darkening streets of Derry faster than Eddie had ever travelled without running from something terrifying.
Eddie wasn’t sure exactly how long they ran for, mostly silent aside from the occasional burst of laughter from one or the other, but before Eddie knew it they were running up towards the train station. The lights were on inside, and Eddie felt his heart flutter in his chest. He looked over to Richie, who was smiling at the building while the light reflected in his eyes. He turned to Eddie, their hands still joined, and tugged him inside.
The man behind the glass had given Eddie the creeps since he was just a little boy getting on the train with his mother to visit her sisters. Before Eddie learned first hand that the world was crawling with monsters, he’d thought Gordon at the Train Station was the scariest thing he’d ever seen. With sheet white skin, blue eyes that seemed inhumanly large for his face and black hair that he slicked back with so much hair product it looked permanently wet. At five years old, Eddie had once cried to his mother about the vampire at the station. Sonia had had no time for such whims and foolish fears, but even after defeating an evil kid eating clown, Gordon still freaked Eddie out.
Richie’s hand tightened around Eddie’s as though he knew, and he stood mostly in front of Eddie as he approached the counter. “Two tickets for Chamberlain please.”
Eddie blinked at Richie, frowning in confusion. He knew that Gordon was probably giving him quite a similar look. Chamberlain was a town not too far from Derry, but people did not get off at Chamberlain. It was a ghost town, long since abandoned by all their residents. If rumours were to be believed, there had been some sort of terrible massacre at the high school, and nobody had been able to stomach living there any longer. Within two weeks, each house on every block stood empty and buildings fell into ruins. Eddie supposed it must have been something a little deeper than just some high school students dying for the entire town to up to leave. After all, Eddie lived in a town where children got snatched out of the streets and were never heard from again, and most of the residents barely blinked.
“Now what business do you have out in Chamberlain, boy?” Gordon asked, leaning forward on his elbows and glaring at Richie through the scratched and dirty glass. “That whole place is a ghost town, ain’t nothing for you there.”
Richie raised his brow and gave him a half smirk. “Is it in your job description to inquire why every passenger is going to their destination, or is it just to sell tickets and look miserable all the fucking time?”
Gordon scowled at Richie and Eddie stepped slightly to duck further behind Richie. “Have it your way, kid.” Gordon slid two tickets under the window and gave them both what almost appeared to be sympathetic looks. “Y’all keep your money, I’m not about taking cash from people walking into their deaths. You can pay me if you make it back.”
Eddie’s mouth dropped open, but Richie seemed to take it in stride. “Sick.” He said, grabbing the tickets off the counter and ducking towards the outside platform. Eddie remained, frozen to the spot. Gordon held eye contact with him until Eddie felt his skin break out into goosebumps and he physically had to look away.
“You take care of yourself, Kaspbrak.” Gordon said in a low voice, before taking hold of the window shade and pulling it remove himself from view.

like obvs i know people will react to this with comments such as: “that’s why and how you’re meant to learn time management at uni!!! look at all the cute study hacks on tiktok to help you ☺️!” and “that’s how you learn how to handle multiple workloads and deadlines and stuff!!” or “that’s how college/uni simulates the real world of employment!!! if you can’t deal with this at college/uni maybe you should’ve just dropped out and realised that you needed to toughen up princess!!!” or whatever else. but y’all. like it was chronic. i was always tired. always burnt out. i felt like i had no time to “find myself “ or whatever the trope or expectation of uni is supposed to be. instead i was just hammered, to what felt like death, with “be entrepreneurial and grind/hustle your way to the top every day!!!! only care about your professional image and brand! everyone has one! do 10 internships today to prove your eligibility/validity and motivation to employers so you get into a grad program!!! hustle hustle hustle! innovate innovate innovate! where are your start up ideas to fix the entire world in a day???? here’s all these never ending deadlines for 50+ extracurriculars that you HAVE to meet otherwise you won’t get the award for these programs officially to show employers!” etc etc etc. but it honestly felt like so, so, so much to do and i felt guilty because i felt like i had absolutely no interest in half of the ECs, let alone, even the “required marks” (because more than half of the ECs at my uni required at least a 75 or distinction average) to get into like mentor high school kids or idek do a business incubator program or whatever the bullshit EC program options were.
and that above is not even counting the reflections that you had to do to say “yeah i did this program and i felt it was good and i learnt A/B/C about myself through this program so it’s defs enhanced my employability skills” to even be considered to be taking part in the program. it was all too fucking much on too little time and i fucking hated it. and that’s besides the point that i was focussing solely on all the employability workshops for my “career” and got literally fucking nothing out of them. like why can’t uni just be a time to dick around and find yourself, instead of doing useless fucking employability circus bullshit and hearing time and time again about the “entrepreneurial mindset” and how to “never turn off your brain for innovation and the hustle to be ahead of everyone else???? hurry up and have a side hustle like tutoring to show just how much initiative you have!!!!!” like i just don’t understand how my advanced diploma, my undergrad arts degree, and my albeit short lived and failed attempt at my postgrad degree dont show ENOUGH initiative to employers. i fucking hate it.
and i also i understand that me complaining about this after the fact (and also while i was at uni from 2015-2018/doing postgrad in 2019) can be seen as “oh you were just too lazy to get yourself together and grow up! typical millennial/gen z! too selfish to grow up and be part of the big, bad adult world!” but y’all. there needs to be more down time for students and less of a push to be “entrepreneurial” and all that bullshit during uni/college; so you’re not pushed to your absolute limits at uni til you have a mental breakdown and drop out/defer for a semester or a year. and that’s besides the fact that even in my fucking 3 month breaks at the end of every year i was actually BUYING my texts or textbooks early and doing some of my readings (books) MONTHS ahead of time and MONTHS ahead of even knowing the revised sets of texts (because half the time i bought them so early that i hd no idea that the prof had taken like 4 diff books off some courses and replaced them w/ other books instead for example) so i really had no proper downtime anyway. like i was utterly run off of my feet and i was burnt the fuck out every fucking year of my undergrad degree and also my postgrad and also business college in 2014; which was at least 50+ page assignments every fucking week. like that should count as initiative to employers.... but apparently it fucking doesn’t??? im fucking sick of y’all what the actual fuck do you want????

vega is the brightest star in the constellation lyra, and happens to be my favourite star. don’t ask me why vega is my favourite star, or why lyra is my favourite constellation, because i haven’t got a coherent answer for you. i’ve just always been drawn to them. a bit like cal, really. i feel like we’ve known each other for far longer than just four months, and she’s so lovely that i’m fairly sure i could say anything to her and she’d just accept me for whatever rubbish i’m rambling about this time. and, in the depressing year that’s been 2020, cal has been a bright star.

honestly, is there anything more iconic than halley’s comet? there can’t be much. probably the best known comet of all time, halley’s comet is a short-period comet (and if you’ve read starstruck, you know how much i prefer short-period comets to those long-period comets with their damned 200-year perihelions, even if certain people suggest that this makes them quite special), meaning that it is visible from earth every 75-ish years. halley’s comet last made an appearance in the lovely year of 1986, and will thus appear next in 2061 (i’m so excited for my 59-year-old self!!!). halley’s comet, though well-known, is still a rare breed, so to speak. it is rare, and extraordinarily beautiful that a comet appears to a human twice within their lifetime. sofie is rare, just like halley’s comet, and equally beautiful, both in heart and with that lovely curly hair of hers. i’m honoured to know her, just as i shall be honoured to see halley’s comet one day.

cassiopeia a (or rather, the remnant of cassiopeia a) was a supernova within the constellation of cassiopeia. for those of you who do not obsess over interstellar matter the way that i do, supernovae are explosions of massive stars, or white dwarfs drawn to nuclear fusion, within their final stages of life. not much is known about how these explosions necessarily take place, and nasa has only caught on video one such explosion, back in 2016. the most commonly presented image of the remnant of cassiopeia a is a false-colour image, composed with three different wavebands of light. it is, as you can see, very beautiful. supernovae radiate energy and light throughout the cosmos during their existence, and thus having a great effect on the space surrounding them. i therefore liken jess to cassiopeia a because she has a brilliant personality, vibrant and inspiring, which comes across especially in her writing. but of course, the beauty of cassiopeia a has nothing on her.

as far as we humans and the scientists among us know, sirius is the brightest star in the observable universe. housed within the constellation of canis major, sirius has always been monumentally important in terms of navigation, since ancient times. i tell pearl this all the time, but truly, i mean it; her outlook on life is inspiring, how she never fails to be positive even in times of great trouble. like sirius, pearl is a light, ever-present within the mindset of living for today, ever-determined, and unfailingly kind.

please let me explain before this gets taken the wrong way: I LOVE BLACK HOLES. i specifically want to study black holes, whenever i get the chance to specialise within astrophysics. they fascinate me to no end, with a kind of allure that only the mysterious can hold. furthermore, black holes may be the key to understanding the universe; if we understand black holes, we will be able to make headway on other matter, such as dark matter, and dark energy, the latter of which makes up the majority of the observable universe, and will lead us to astronomical (if you’ll pardon the ill-worded expression, and the unintentional pun) conclusions concerning both the beginning of our universe, and the eventual end. regan, just like a black hole, is a wealth of information, especially concerning the knowledge she harbours about disney, and the business management sector of it. it’s quite truly inspirational.

ah yes, the milky way. home to all of us. and that is the essence of my explanation here. meredith has such a friendly way about her, and she’s the kind of person you can easily turn to and feel welcomed. a bit like our little corner of the universe <3

i think this is probably self-explanatory, if a bit repetitive, but ellie is a ray of sunshine. but perhaps that sells her a little short, because ellie is just so genuinely lovely that she must herself be the sun. her writing talent astounds me (you could say it blinds me, ha ha), and she never fails to be somehow both sweet and very chaotic at the same time. it’s very admirable (and certainly relatable, on the chaotic front). the sun itself, if we think about the surface and the fusion that takes place there, is both the sweetest sight ever seen, and quite chaotic, so i think it fitting that ellie is the sun.

callisto is one of jupiter’s moons, and my favourite, because it looks like a piece of the night sky decided to curl up into a ball. i don’t know nat too well, but i know that she’s gorgeous, like callisto, and loves roger taylor. let me explain. jupiter, in roman mythology, is the god of the sky and of thunder. in norse mythology, thor is the equivalent of jupiter, and to me, roger has always had a bit of that typical scandinavian look going, with the blonde hair and blue eyes (not to say that all scandis look like this, but he fits the stereotype :)). nat loves roger, and callisto orbits jupiter, so there you have it.

the moon has a serenity about it, and mo has a knack for telling quite wild things with a most casual air. for instance, according to my sources, when a certain dorm room caught fire (?). mo thus bears this serenity, akin to the serenity i associate with the moon, with equal grace and chaos.

pluto! the not-planet-oh-wait-maybe-it’s-a-planet-jk-jk-unless..? i still think that pluto should be considered a planet, despite the many arguments against the poor sod. pluto was once a planet, and should therefore have remained a planet, for the plain and simple fact that taking away its planethood was like giving a person a present, and then taking it back immediately afterward. anyway. i’m rambling. i also do not know rove very well, but i know that she’s kind, and, judging by the memes she shares, both of ryan gosling and tom hanks, that she is quirky— a bit like our beloved pluto.

also known as the northern lights/the southern lights, the polar lights, the merry dancers, the fox fires, or swarms of luminous herring (you can thank my ancestors, followers of norse mythology, for that one), the aurora is an astronomical phenomenon precipitated by the complete ring of light surrounding the poles, “which at its brightest has a distinctively green tint” (may, brian, et al. the cosmic tourist. carlton books, 2016.). yes i just made a citation from one of brian’s books. don’t worry about it. anyway, particles emitted from our sun are caught by the magnetic fields of earth’s poles, and thus produce this ethereal effect. but you know what the aurora has always reminded me of? disco lights. and libby is noting if not the queen of disco. oh, and, libby’s makeup talents? the aurora could never.
@aprilaady — butterfly nebula
the butterfly nebula is incredibly beautiful. but also, depending on from which angle it is beheld, it looks quite different. dor will surprise you, in the loveliest way possible (and sometimes the funniest) with a kind word or a joke, or even just a relatable comment. she has so many talents, being rivetingly smart within so many fields, especially the sciences, and in this, conveys multitudes, like the butterfly nebula. one might say her soul is painted like the wings of butterflies...

the alignment of the sun, moon, and earth. difficult to see, especially in totality, if you continually live in the same place. but there’s something magical in that alignment, i think. something quite poetic. it’s partially in the name ‘eclipse’ and partially in the nickname— a “ring of fire.” i saw the solar eclipse in august of 2018, and looking up at it, i was quite awestruck. you’re not supposed to stare directly at solar eclipses, because despite the moon overshadowing the sun, you can still damage your eyes significantly by looking at them. vi is so bright, both in her attitude and in her intelligence, and thus i’ve chosen the solar eclipse for her. also, when a solar eclipse occurs, using a piece of cardboard with a hole (or generally any thick-radius circular object with an opening), you can recreate the phenomenon on another surface, resulting in beautiful patterns and light-art, which i think speaks to vi’s eye for aesthetics.

meteor showers are perhaps some of the most beautiful phenomena i have ever seen. back in the summer of 2016, i stayed up all night to watch the perseids rush across the sky, and i was not disappointed, by any means. within the early hours of the 12th of august, an estimated 80 meteors darted across the heavens each hour. meteors, in essence, are clusters of mineral, usually debris from comets, which enter the atmosphere of a planet, and thus seem to shoot across the sky. now, you may be wondering, what’s the bloody blooming difference between meteoroids, meteors, and meteorites, and why are we talking about meteors in particular? well, meteoroids are cosmic debris that have not yet entered an atmosphere; as soon as a piece of cosmic debris enters a planet’s atmosphere, it is classified as a meteor. as for meteorites, nothing is a meteorite unless it strikes the ground. anyway. you didn’t come here for my science ramblings. meteors are also called ‘shooting stars,’ and let’s be honest, they’re space’s idea of art. streaks of light across the sky? sounds like a painting to me, and darya, among many other things, is an artist— and a brilliant one, at that. so i think it very fitting to describe her as the art of the universe <3

i! love! saturn!!! being the only planet in our solar system with highly visible rings, it just stands out to me. it’s absolutely gorgeous, and an object of much inspiration to me, when i was little and decided that space was absolutely something i wanted to see. i could write an eight-verse song about saturn, i love it so much, and honestly, i think ro could write one too; she’s an excellent musician. but aside from its lovely rings, saturn is unique because its composition, in the ratio of its gases, would allow the planet to float in water. ro is uniquely wonderful, and her writing!!!!!!!! makes me so soft and happy and makes me want to give her the word. quite how i feel when i look up at saturn.

you may recognise this term as brian’s speciality from when he was studying astrophysics. but what is it? zodiacal light is that strange triangle of light that appears glowing in the sky after twilight and before dawn, and is the subject of much earth-based astrophotography. extraordinarily beautiful, scientists are still not entirely sure what the phenomenon is, but most research and practical experiments are in favour of zodiacal light being sunlight reflected off of cosmic dust (also known as stardust!). now, if my knowledge of ancient greece and its mythology serves me, the name phoebe comes from phoebus, and (thank you google) means ‘bright.’ zodical light… bright… phoebe… you might say it’s a match made in the heavens. quite literally if we’re talking space. phoebe, you kind soul, you are stardust.

and last, but certainly not least, dear anna. i name thee the andromeda galaxy, partially for your own name, and partially for its poetic beauty. andromeda, the neighbour galaxy of our deal ol’ milky way, is actually about 2.5 million lightyears (15 trillion miles, 22.5 trillion km) away from us, here on earth. call me vain for the number of times i’ve described the beauty of space throughout this rather extended exposition, but andromeda is startlingly beautiful. one reason for this objective beauty is that andromeda is estimated to be home to roughly double the number of stars within our own galaxy. anna is one of the most talented poets i have ever come across, hands down, and what be the food of poetry, if not the stars?

Im more excited about the In The Heights movie than the Hamilton movie.
Here's why:
It's obvious to me that the Hamilton film is another cash grab for Disney. To put it simply, they're putting far less effort into it than Warner Bros is with In the Heights.
By filming a live action version of the Hamilton Broadway production, they are deciding to not produce a genuine film adaptation of it, which would take more time and cost more money.
Look at their trailers!
From the very first shot we see the difference.
In the Heights has an animated long shot following two children through a bustling street, with tons of extras and a clear setting. The Hamilton one has a bird's eye view of what I think is "The Room Where it Happens", which is hard to see and lasts for a second.
I immideately get a feeling of warmth and excitement from the In the Heights shot. But the Hamilton one gives me nothing to feel, as a viewer.
Is it wonderful to be able to see close ups of the Broadway cast as they preform in a way you can't in person? Yes, absolutely. I'm not mad about that. There should 100% be more musical films. It's impossible for everyone to pay hundreds to thousands per ticket to see a musical on Broadway. It can take $10-25 for a ticket to the movies or a DVD/download. If you want people to become interested musical theatre, it has to become accessable to the masses. Otherwise the artform will die.
But if you're going to do it, why would you half ass it?
How many more people are more likely to see In the Heights because it genuinely looks like a movie? But Hamilton looks like a musical, and so those who aren't interested in musical theatre will write it off.
I want to actually see the battlefield during the Battle of Yorktown. I want to watch them argue in the middle of a stuffy courthouse in the Cabinet Battles. I want it to look and feel like we're in colonial America, ready to start a revolution. I want to see Hamilton bleed.
And it's not just a lack of imagination on my part. I have actually seen Hamilton preformed on Chicago Broadway, and it was wonderful. I cried many times. But when it comes to a film adaptation, from the biggest film company in America (the world?), it's just not what I expected or wanted.
"Well, what do you want op?" I want what In the Heights did! They have taken the musical and put it into a movie format that is pleasing to the eye and enticing to the people. I want a full production with casting, reshoots, and sets. Does this mean the Hamilton movie would have a different cast than the OBC? Yes. But that's okay! We can like multiple characterizations.
Why did Disney do this?
Time is money. Production is money. Sets and costumes and casting and crew all takes money. But using a filmed session from several years ago? That just costs royalties. And man, did they pay A LOT for those royalties.
I was unable to locate a budget for the Hamilton movie, but Disney spent $75 million on the royalties alone. If their entire budget was $100 million, then they are spending 3/4s of it just on the right to make it. That leaves very little for a production stand point. So they make it as cheap as possible and pump it out asap; so they can get their cash back.
You could say that they didn't make a proper film adaptation because they don't want to deal with Hamilton's nonstop lyrics throughout the film. In the Heights has dialogue in between songs; Hamilton's entire show is sung or rapped.
However, we have Les Misérables. The film has a 69 (nice) on Rotten Tomatoes and made $441.8 million worldwide, with a budget of $61 million. So, from a money standpoint, it was a huge success. And most of the critical responses I remember from the film were due to personal taste and commenting on actors singing ability.
And Hamilton is (arguably) the most successful and influential Broadway musical of recent history. Even people who don't know about musicals have a small idea about Hamilton. So it's going to make money.
They know it's going to make money, but they want to do it the cheapest way possible. I know other musicals have been filmed in this fashion and the film adaptation concept is newer in comparison. But damn Disney. Can you even pretend like you're trying?
I'm still going to see the Hamilton film, and I'm still going to enjoy it. But I know the In the Heights film is going to be far more impactful within pop culture. I feel like Warner Bros has made the good choice here and Disney once again fell flat.
EDIT: Y'all really hated this one, huh? So, here's the thing. When I wrote this, it was late at night and I was drunk. So I didn't fact check to see if the show was ever going to be a film adaptation or if they always planned it to be a pro shoot.
Apparently they always planned it to be this way; good for them. I still have the same opinion: I'm more excited for In the Heights than Hamilton because ItH is an actual production. I'm a filmmaker, not a thespian. My interest is different than yours. That's ok.
I still believe the general public would react more positively and be more interested in a film adaptation. A pro shoot is more interesting to theater nerds. Again, that's okay.
As the pro shoot was filmed in 2016, the footage always existed. If I were in charge of production, I would've made a film adaptation and then had the pro shoot be bonus footage for the DVD. Best of both worlds! I'm sure they'll do a reboot or remaster in a couple years where they actually do a film adaptation for Hamilton. And that would be cool as hell. And then Lin and Disney will get money for the same content twice.
I'm not going to reply to anyone's comments or reblogs anymore, as some of y'all argue just to argue. Sorry I went off on the anti-capitalist argument; I should've focused more on my own opinion: I will enjoy In the Heights more, as a film.

Well it’s happened. Eraserhead has entered the fight and Im not sure how long tomura can hold off ryuku, eraserhead, and endeavor before gigantomachia comes with the team. I know he’s the villain and I shouldn’t cheer for him but he’s been through so much to get to this point. It’d be a shame that as soon as he wakes up with his new power he gets taken out by pro heroes, and not Deku with OFA. I love eraserhead, but I’m hoping tomura can beat him. do u think he’ll be arrested or he’s still safe?
maybe i;m being too hopeful , but i think tomura will be completely fine for a bit. if anything, i’m more scared of the impact all for one will have on his body, given that he was only 75% finished with the procedure. afo accumulated his power over a hundred plus years while shig got it in 3 months. ++ with nine’s fate && tomuras general self destructive tendencies (mass decay at deika city) im. 😳 hoping his pursuit of ofa doesn’t get the best of him 😳 but !! as far as combat between him and the others go, he should be good !! i feel like his heightened instincts and super regen have him covered for now
i suppose aizawa does pose a threat in nullifying afo and preventing the above, but he can only keep his eyes open for so long at a time that even a brief pause would be overwhelmingly devastating for the heroes. ++ it seems shig plans to erase his quirk anyways to prevent that from happening. which!!!!!!!!! totally surprised me. i definitely wasn’t prepared for a shigaraki v eraserhead battle and now im really apprehensive because i love them both :-( id be sad if anything happened to aizawa, but i don’t really expect to see him die tbh. at least, given that i feel like he’s so vital to the story and has yet to close out his own arcs, it doesn’t seem likely. but then again idk i thought the same about twice :-( it’s gonna Suck but yeah i think.tomura will beat him out ez pz
another thing that comes to mind is that shigaraki should have that nasty goop transportation quirk afo used back at kamino. so if he was really in a bind, he might be able to warp giganto (and possibly the others) to his location if he wanted. but fuck dude gigantomachia is massive, i feel like it’d be no problem for him to close that 80 km gap

Ive always liked Alex we always seemed to grow up together from NYC to Texas to Oklahoma he always seemed to be around
And he was usually pretty nice.
Even if he got on my nerve he always seemed to get me to like him, he's quite easy to talk to with a nice personality
So, he wanted pets and as long as he's not abusive to them then I told him he could. He, too was privileged to be asked what he wanted.
So in his next room he has fish, bunny, hamster, bathroom and a real bed and fluffy pillows.
He said "just a prison room and all the animals that can fit" and he asked for a pony. I was like dude no that's too much. Maybe a stuffed one.
In Jr high his dad was pretty abusive so he stayed at my goose often. I had bunk beds but he would fall asleep in the floor then climb up into his own bed. Or say "dad I'm cold" and shiver in the floor... And not get up. I learned to get up off the opposite end of the bed and turn on the light and tell him to open his eyes and shake his foot otherwise he would grab mu leg and try to fight me while he was asleep. Then i would pull him a blanket down and cover him he would ask me "who are you?"
Id tell him "im your friend from school"
Sometimes he would tell me he didnt go to school or say "school I miss that place" and/or ask if i kidnapped him
I learned to tell him i did kidnap him otherwise he would sleep walk all over and I would find him in the pagan's yard asleep or some other random place in the morning.
Cause in his mind he thought "if I'm not kidnapped I'm free to leave"
And he was but not while sleeping.
And so if i had to tell him he was kidnapped he would ask if he could eat. I learned to tell him, "in the morning" otherwise I would make food he wouldn't eat or he would sleep cook and I would hear him choking and coughing.
Usually we played 20 questions. Sometimes I pretended to be asleep and he would climb in my bed like a little kid "I said who are you?!?!?"
Eventually i learned to say "Sabrina, you're safe for tonight, all the doors and windows are closed and locked, you're free to sleep in the house right where you are" then he would snore deeply until morning.
Sometimes he just showed up at my door, looking like some kind of wreck. "I just need a place to sleep. I don't eat"
But I would make him food and he would eat like he hadn't in days.
Just one of them ruffian kids that wouldn't make you feel sorry for him, you just did.
Whenever I looked at him in Oklahoma somehow he just made me cry. I didn't even remember him and we rarely talked he lived at this party house I sometimes went to down the street from my grammas.
He went down to Lawton a lot. That's where a lot of us got our weed. They all said that was where he was from.
Lawton was a distribution center for Mexican red hair from what I heard. That was all I smoked. Sometimes we had yellow hair...
One time me and Steph drove him to OKC to catch a bus because the fare was cheaper and he didn't have a car. He went to Lawton to "check on stuff"
He wasn't always rich or a jerk.
He is just who he is
So he has a phone now so his live feed will be turned off

So some people like Jesse have the ability to tunnel and make new rooms and he has two concrete rooms and 2 bathroom areas. And the one in the new room has a privacy curtain as requested. So he can shit in the nude and not all the guys be looking.

My air conditioner was on 60°F and I turned it up to 69° and it was better but it worked attentively better when I turned it up two degrees to 71° I tried various degrees up to 75° but 71° works best.
I also tried "dry mode" which removes humidity from the air which worked well until it began to rain then,it was miserable again.
So meddle with your air conditioner numbers until you feel the best coolest air flow.
And it's good to try it at night ... To find the absolute best.. If it works well when it's cool it will be working as best as possible when it's 105° real feel and it's less frustrating. You just know its the best you got even if it's not good enough
Right now with the rain and humidity it makes it more complicated so it's better right at dusk

I know I'm being kind to prisoners whom don't rightly deserve kindness but their punishments are harsh. And what kind of person am I if I'm just mean to everyone?
Well.. If you ask me... Well..
There's this philosophy that being great to people invokes guilt. The feeling they have wronged. Most especially while being punished. They realize they should have treated better when they had their freedom.
It only works while they're incarcerated. Once they obtain their freedom they're like a flesh eating bacteria and go back to their bullshit
So we are very aware of this. So while they are not mistreated and their accomodations are as they wished and some get better over time as it is earned.
They will stay there. I did make contingency for work release but I am told NHRA has not allowed them to be on The schedule which I do appreciate
Nd it is for the safety
Matt Hagan got 2 ten pound bowling balls.
The reason we have low pounds is because our guards -- heavy weights thrown at guards can be very damaging. So a guard can take a 10 pound bowling ball to the gut but not a 30 or 50.
Amd they're bowling balls at 10 or 15 pounds because they're harder to handle these don't have holes. So if they're practising throwing them then they get taken away.
So then when they have weights and they go outside they have to put them on the bed or opposite side of the door along the wall, be handcuffed through the food slot and then they have to stand in the middle of the room and do a count down breathing and stretching session and then they approach the door then they can be foot shackled and the prisoner connects it themself
So you have wrist handcuffs and feet then a chain from both so they can't swing their arms and hit others.
Once connected it needs a key to unlock but it shows trust and cooperation and it's a good exercise
They keep their exercise equipment if they connect their cuffs correct. Its almost impossible not to. And they get shown how.
The guard can do it but it's an attempt to allow independence and recognition of choices and self authority and to say "you got yourself in this situation, take responsibility"
The guard didn't do bad things to have to be there. The prisioner did. The last straw for them to be properly arrested was what they did.
We allowed them 12 years. And they all made "bets" aka promises and so on and so forth. And they failed at being civilized human beings..
Jesse James wrote with shit on the wall and then ate shit the first night.
That is an obvious failure.
Its what he always does tho. But he has to live in it and clean it because he chose to do that and no one is going in his cell
That's his room. There is times that guards will but normally it's not necessary and it won't happen.
Alex will to have help with his animals but that's a little different it's for the animals welfare. Its once per week.
Like for their trash they have to request trash receptacle. They can pick the size or have a large and small and they have to request trash bags. Then they fill and Tie It and show the guard or cameras and then they have to place it 2 foot from the door and then stand on their bed or at the opposite wall and spread 'em arrested style. Arms and legs spread, hands against the wall back to the door. For guard safety. Then the guard gets it and locks the door and let's them know by saying the equivalent of "okay" in the language of the day. If the prisoner doesn't respond, the guard knocks on the door.
Its their room. Their house. Someone is at the door.
Then they say thank you in the language of the day when they respond and remove from their position.
Otherwise they have to be shackled. So this is simpler and easier and allows trust and cooperation and human decency and also the reminder they're in prison.
But most trash is food and so most just put it all back on their tray when the guard comes to collect.
So there's an old fashioned slot so if they tray falls to the hall. There's a basket there that should catch the tray and trash.
If they throw the tray out to make a mess in the hall, the tray of their food is covered with a light non tight layer of saran wrap then shoved through the slot to make it fly and make a mess.
The loose layer of saran is to protect the food... But at the same time it's loose and the point is made. As Well as a mess.
And then betrer behavior occurs.
So it's obvious who is in control but sometimes they wanna try their hand. But I'm a very angry person so my prison personnel puts up with nothing.
They don't question or wonder. What is done to them, they do in return.
They have their rules of humanity but when prisoners go on the wind, the guards blow back.
So if they get hit, 3 guards hit the prisoner. Always. And then rights get taken away. And all kinds of shit happens.
So we try to prevent violence against each other because if a prison riot occurs, my guards will be out of jobs.
So everyone has their own rooms and their wishes and they can ask and get nearly anything
Matt for example got 10 pound weights because he had a large body mass of muscle. And so that is what he worked for and earned. So he gets a 10 pound. And we go up to 15 but Idk i guess he didn't ask for top weights.
But the point is also he can do weights all day long as opposed to just half a day. And he can max the muscles if done properly.
But someone with smaller muscle mass will get a lighter weight
Like I said to protect the guard but also to protect the user of the weightsm too heavy can cause damage.
Going to a smooth bowling ball is cumbersome as opposed to weights with handles which of course is why he didn't get the 15 lb. He needs 2 weeks or so on the lighter ball in case he dropps it on his head or something like that and there is great over the head exercise. So I'm not being dumb.. It could happen.
So we treat them like we would kids
Like with Alex... Some of them never have been. And so they need that.
I know if i was always abused and treated like shit and had one year to live as they do with COVID, id like to be treated humane. I'd like to be treated like i had a mom and dad out there that love me.
I'm an orphan and i have been abused and I'm a good person. But I have been to jail. Arrested for real as an adult. So.
I been there. Just for a little bit. It was for weed and telling a cop he sucked. Some felonies. I went to rehab with Alex and it's all off my record now.
So it wasn't a super bad thing.
But if it had been....
I care about me, and i put myself in some places i could be in. And I try to make them better.
Me? I don't like being touched so having the last part of the cuff system up to me to put on -- it says like 'you know, i dont really want to touch you either.'
Like its a little bit of space around me just being able to do one little clip. A little bit of extra room in a super scary situation, being a girl, alone. Anything could happen... But.. I clip it right I have some argument space like "you can't rape me. I'm a model prisioner. I always clip my cuffs right! I'll tell they will believe me! You'll lose your job!"
So it's a privilege. As well as the acceptance of responsibility. I'm not the guard. But i got me here and im gonna be kept here but I'm safe.

Title: Damn Expiration Date
Summary: Nikki accidentally let his license expire, so he makes Tommy go with him to the DMV to get it renewed.
Warnings: Maybe mild language?
AN: This isn’t really Tommy x Nikki, but they’re the only characters in here...
“How do you let it expire?” Tommy asked as he pulled up at Nikki’s house to pick him up. “And Why aren’t you driving? You’ve never been one to follow the rules before.”
“Maybe I didn’t want to go to the DMV alone,” Nikki shrugged as he got himself situated in the passenger seat.
“Okay, fair point, but they send you like a million things in the mail, and the expiration date is your birthday. That was almost a month ago dude. Have you been driving this whole time on an expired license?”
“So?” Nikki shrugged. “Not my fault that it expired…” Tommy sat there for a moment.
“Yes it was!” Tommy called out. “Even I know to renew it!” Nikki just rolled his eyes and looked out the window.
“So much for a fun day,” He mumbled.
“Fun day? Going to the zoo is fun. Scoping out wannabe starlets on the strip is fun. The DMV? Not fun,” Tommy shook his head. “You’re so buying me lunch when this is all done and over with.”
“Okay, okay,” Nikki couldn’t help but smile, despite the day ahead of them.

“Are you kidding me?” Nikki grumbled as he found a hard plastic seat next to Tommy. “Number 215.”
“And what are they on right now?” Tommy asked. That’s when the loudspeaker rang out.

“She said 75…” Tommy commented. “Not 175. Right?”
“Yep,” Nikki groaned. “Never let me do this again. I thought I still had another year left or something…” He laid his head back, only to bump it with the girl sitting behind him. “Shit, sorry.” She rolled her eyes and went back to smacking her gum and reading the magazine in her lap.
“Well, since we have about…” Tommy did the math in his head. “140 people in front of you, let’s play, like, a game or something.”
“You don’t have playing cards on you, do you?” Nikki asked.
“I actually have some out in my car for emergencies, but I thought more of the making up backstories about people we see kind of thing,” Tommy shrugged. “Or we could write some music or something. I can’t believe there’s this many people needing to be here right now.”
“The backstory thing is good,” Nikki nodded. “Because I don’t think the DMV sparks the creative flow.”
“Okay, so what about her?” Tommy asked, pointing to a woman who was walking up to the desk. “My guess is three kids and a husband who is a complete idiot.”
“I didn’t realize she was married to you,” Nikki laughed. Tommy turned to glare at him.
“Okay funny man, you do one,” Tommy crossed his arms over his chest. Nikki scanned the lobby, looking for the perfect one. He saw a twenty-something sitting in a chair, playing with a string on his pants. He had a blue mohawk and more metal in his face than skin.
“Ex junkie, trying to get his life turned around while keeping up with the punk scene,” Nikki told Tommy. Tommy looked at the kid than back at Nikki.
“This is supposed to be a fictional backstory, not yours!” Tommy shook his head.
By number 200, Tommy grew bored of the backstory game, especially when Nikki would create these elaborate tales of despair and redemption, and Tommy’s ideas were more along the lines of “that person is having Chipotle for dinner” or “that one has hit twelve cars in the past year and just completed their safe driving course”.
So Tommy headed out to his car and got the deck of cards, the two of them playing a game of war. They used the seat between them as a table. Tommy was just about to make a comeback, down to his last four cards, when Nikki’s number got called.
“Better luck next time T-Bone,” Nikki smirked and laid down his cards. Tommy snatched them up and put them back in the box while Nikki made his way to the desk.
“Name?” The woman asked, typing at her computer.
“Uh, Nikki Sixx,” He told her.
“...Right…” She typed the name in. “What’s your reason for visiting today Mr. Sixx?” She looked up at him.
“Renewing my drivers license,” He told her. He handed over his old one and she typed some things in the computer.
“Step over to the curtain and get your picture taken. Then you’re free to go,” She told him.
“Wait, that’s it?” Nikki asked. She nodded and headed towards the curtain to snap his picture.
“Yep, that’s it,” She nodded. “Sunglasses off please.” Nikki took the sunglasses off the top of his head and she snapped the picture. “Your new license should be in the mail in about 7 to 10 business days. Here’s your paper copy for the time being.”
“Thanks,” Nikki nodded. He paid for the new license and headed over towards Tommy. The drummer looked up at Nikki.
“You’re done already?” He asked. Nikki nodded with a smirk. “You’re telling me we just sat here for half a day for a five-minute appointment?”
“I guess so,” Nikki nodded.
“Then we’re going someplace fun for lunch, and you’re buying,” Tommy told him, making Nikki laugh.
“Anyplace you want to go, but I’m driving your car.”

i know i said i wouldn’t be cross-posting my bellamort/dark au/riddle fam headcanons from twitter but i’ve decided to post a lengthy updated masterpost here after all so ENJOY bon apetit
1. see the thing is that 90% of my hcs can’t be described with words bc they’re just.. feelings.. aesthetics.. vibes.. vague scenarios that make me feel some sort of way… the dark au has a certain Feel and i just stick a bunch of domestic concepts in there and shake it all up and that’s it shshsh
2. disclaimer: im like 75% sure my self indulgent ramblings won’t make sense so sorry about that
3. i was fully serious that one time i said on twitter that voldemort’s no.1 priority after taking over the wizarding world was doing sth about his snace (snake face) so yeah. first things first he’s not as fugly in the dark au. as mentioned previously he just looks like mr. ralph and probably wears ornate haute couture power suits
4. the public doesn’t actually know who the augurey is for YEARS… they know whoever it is is voldemort’s second in command and sure there’s rumors that he has an heir but nobody knows it’s delphi. this way she doesn’t have to be reclusive and hide away, she just lives her life, studies and trains, masters the art of dark magic, hangs around town etc, and no one suspects anything bc who would think this tiny super friendly innocent looking girl is the dark lord’s kid — her identity isn’t revealed until she’s deemed Ready to publicly take up her position. and when she is revealed it’s a Big Moment bc she’s a drama queen and lives for attention
5. delphi is taller than bellatrix
6. speaking of bellatrix. she’s presumed dead after the battle of hogwarts which turns out to be a cool bonus for the dark side. any leftover resistance? she’ll take care of that and they’ll never see her coming. tbh this seems a lot cooler in my head bc movie bellatrix would not be stealthy enough to stay hidden for years she would probs trip over something and accidentally commit arson within a few days. but yeah sneaky assassin sounds sexy. plus to be super honest i imagine bella is a teensy bit more collected than in the films... no shade at helena y’all know i would die for her but there are in fact things i would change about her bella. so yeah for a while the only people who know she’s alive aside from her immediate family are probs rod and the malfoys
7. hm so. the malfoys…. much to think about. narcissa did lie to voldemort’s face during the battle so logically he should have killed her the moment he realized she knew harry was alive all along. but this is a soft dark au so let’s pretend bellatrix was like hey dude don’t kill my sister maybe and voldemort was like k. i mean no harm done, harry potter is properly dead in this universe after all
8. but seriously tho. the only reason voldemort didn’t yeet narcissa into a wall was for bella’s sake. he’s nice like that, he probably promised her at one point that he wouldn’t violently murder her family. peak romance
9. delphi is surprisingly close with both her parents although with voldemort it’s more of a mentor-student relationship than a parent-child one bc he’s Like That. growing up it was always bella who insisted they treat delphi more like a child and less like a weapon and voldemort wasn’t always happy about that bc he’s emotionally constipated and also never had a childhood. also he’s, like, evil. so yes, reminding voldemort that delphi was her daughter too sometimes got bella in trouble bc we all know of voldemort’s superiority issues. but no bella didn’t stop insisting that delphi deserved an actual childhood and in the end they compromised like functional adults and delphi turned out pretty well for someone raised by 2 of the most terrifying people alive
10. but yeah that’s not to say voldemort and kid delphi never had soft moments. they did. he even picked her up every once in a while. everyone was surprised, bella most of all. she probably cried in the bathroom later bc the softness overwhelmed her. i’m not sure if i mean that in a sarcastic shitpost kind of way or if she was really moved to tears. y’all decide for yourselves
11. delphi looks very very much like bella but she has tom riddley eyes.. so dark they’re nearly black. and soulless. maybe they even flash red when she’s enraged. and she has very aristocratic very controlled tom riddley mannerisms. it’s not until you piss her off and she goes off the rails that the bella side of her personality kicks in
12. delphi gets along really well with the malfoys (except lucius. she thinks he’s pathetic and likes to tease him. in a friendly way but it’s still harsh. she gets that from her mom) esp scorp. scorp thinks this makes him cool at school bc he gets to fist bump the augurey and not get murdered for it
13. speaking of hogwarts. umbridge is scared shitless of delphi and it’s always a school-wide spectacle when the augurey drops by unexpectedly on official business and umbridge starts stuttering and quivering. scorp sometimes makes a point to approach umbridge and delphi when they’re talking and act all chummy-chummy with his cousin just to make himself look powerful and Cool in front of umbridge and the other students
14. i still don’t know whether voldemort would call delphi ‘delphini’ or just ‘delphi’… i imagine he’s a strict stick-up-his-ass kinda father but who knows. he does call bellatrix ‘bella’ but that’s different i guess
15. but THEN AGAIN he does have a gigantic soft spot for delphi too. maybe he slips up every so often and calls her delphi. i’m literally making this shit up as i go along i’m just smashing my mf keyboard and occasionally glancing at my messy hcs notebook. I TOLD YALL i don’t have solid hcs i just have VIBES and AESTHETICS. the only way you’ll get specific hcs out of me is if you ask very specific questions
16. weirdest brotp is delphi and rodolphus. nobody knows where that came from but they get along so well and it confuses everybody
17. we been knew that bella is batshit crazy and criminally insane or whatever but against all odds she is a surprisingly good mother. she’s always been soft for family (narcissa etc) so it makes sense that she would legit die for delphi. they have this super casual bantery relationship YALL GET ME bella is so proud of delphi she’s literally that “my little baby off to destroy people” meme!!! honestly mother-daughter relationships are my goddamn weakness i would die for the two of them
18. delphi has a gf (underdeveloped oc time!) who, for the longest time, doesn’t know who she is dating bc delphi is obviously not allowed to say. she finds out the truth eventually and she is properly freaked out for a very very long time. and since all of these hcs are stupidly soft we’re just gonna keep making them softer: the gf is terrified of delphi’s parents at first (obvs) but they’re both extremely fond of her (well, bella is, voldemort probs doesn’t care all that much about who delphi is dating so long as she’s not of subpar blood status or secretly spying for the opposition ya know. as long as delphi trusts her he does too)
19. no but really voldemort trusts delphi and bella implicitly. with delphi it’s bc he raised her and he trusts her to be loyal bc she knows no other way, she was meant to be an extension of his power etc. but with bella it’s something he learns over time, to trust her judgement bc despite her many many flaws she’s very perceptive and usually right
20. voldemort probably makes more horcruxes. still haven’t decided how this ties in with the fact that he’s now safely immortal again and neither delphi nor bella are. who knows maybe they all do the do and split their souls. much to think about. feel free to send ur thots and ideas my way

i guess im going to jump on the bandwagon and make one of those end of the year/decade self-reflection/resolution posts! yay!!
this entire decade for me was insane. at around the start of the decade, i uprooted my life, leaving behind 14 years of memories and friends to move to arizona with my mom.
since then, ive graduated high school, dealt with the death of my dad, entered college, graduated college, went back to college after getting fired from a job i had for a month, gotten into a car accident (as minor as it was, it was a massive pain in the ass), got certified for a+, dealt with the fear of my brother getting into a bike accident at 75 mph, not to mention the other two times ive moved houses while being here... it’s been fucking insane, and honestly?? everything that’s happened has taken such a massive toll on my mental health, i have no idea how i continue to function... and honestly? i dont function sometimes.
i got into this rpc around april of 2014 and it was the best decision. writing helped me cope through a lot of tough, awful moments in my life. i could come here and do funny threads with people to escape what i was dealing with.
ive made a lot of good friends here in this community, both back then and now. i miss the friends i had before that suddenly up and left, but i sincerely hope theyre all doing well in life. in general, my memories of this rpc are more good than bad somehow, managing to dodge all the burn blogs that popped up, all the fierce anons with nothing nice to say, and the drama that’s cropped up at various points.
what’s my goal for 2020? i already talked about this on discord a little with a friend, but 2020 is the year of self-care, positivity, healing, hydration, and better mental health. i want to start going back to the gym again! i lost 8 pounds this year from a combination of fasting and working out, and people around me noticed which was so COOL....
i also want to be more positive, about myself and just.. everything. negativity really fucks me up. i dont want to surround myself with negative people! i want to be surrounded with good vibes and positivity. it helps my mental state. speaking of mental state, i want to improve mine somehow. either through better self-care, or visiting a therapist. not sure which yet; i struggle to talk about my problems verbally and am more of a ‘bottle it up’ kinda gal, but!! we’ll see
anyways. this is getting a bit long, but to everyone who has been here since the beginning in 2014, or to those who just got here now, i love you and appreciate you immensely. to my friends, i love you all too. so much. im bad at talking sometimes and im so sorry, but ive had so many great memories with you all that i wouldnt give up for anything. you guys are my inspiration to write and do silly things, and to keep going.

When I was little I grew up in a village in which like 300-400 people lived (maximum) and next to us lived this sweet older couple who always gave us sweets and vegetable for our parents, or they brought us stuff from when they went on vacation.
The man is now constantly sick, he suffers from parkinson and you see the early statges of dementia setting in. A while ago he wanted to go and get the German version of fish and chips with his wife but due to him needing a ton of surgeriesw constantly he wasnt able to go out with his wife. When my mom told me this I was like wtf u cant just tell me this, I’m too soft.
So I went and got fish and chips from the best market around us for him and flowers for his wife, despite the fact that I havent seen them in YEARS.
When I arrived at their front door both of them hugged me and cried a bit
