A Dangerous Game Ch 6
Tumblr media
Emily Prentiss x reader warnings: language, alcohol, usual BAU case type violence/talk, smut, daddy kink, breeding kink/cum kink..... sorry for the delay on this ch, i just kept getting stuck uninspired to write this week despite desperately wanting to! i hope this week is better but im wokring more shifts and managing this weekend so i doubt it lol send me good vibesis anyone else having trouble with desktop? Like it LAGS so bad when i try to type. Ive swapped browsers, cleared out my computer & i swear its just worse….
You’d reached your six month mark with the BAU, which meant you’d been called into Emily’s office in the middle of a paperwork day, your heart nearly skyrocketing in your chest until you realized what it was about. She praised your work, both in the field and at the home office, commending how good of a fit you were for the team, and that she couldn’t be happier with your placement, and that you were putting down roots here, that you felt comfortable enough to do so. While you had been on edge at first, the meeting relaxed almost instantly, while she was still your superior, there was a sense of comfortability as you talked, laughter and jokes passed back and fourth. Right as you stood from your chair when she’d dismissed you she spoke once again,
“Hey, Pen and I are grabbing drinks after work, you wanna join?”
“You… sure that’s a good idea?” You raised a brow and she chuckled at the meaning behind your words.
“We’re allowed to be friends, aren’t we?”
“Guess we are.” You smiled back, “yeah, that sounds great.”
It may have been your six month mark since starting with the BAU, but today was the start of allowing yourself to be friends with and be seen with Emily while in your home territory. You just reminded yourself that this didn’t mean anything was changing, you’d picked up on it before Emily had even brought it up. Penelope had jokingly asked over coffee if you were scared of Emily, and that there was no reason to be, because under that dark exterior she truly was a softie. You’d laughed it off, saying that at your last posting your superior was strictly that, he’d been the type to not separate work from anything else, keeping the boundaries between employees strict and never hanging out with the team. Thankfully that was enough of an answer for Penelope and she didn’t ask anymore questions.
*
Medford, Oregon was the next city that the team was called to.
This time the unsub was targeting couples, and after some examination, the team was quick to figure out his hunting ground was spilt between three separate bars, and on a scheduled rotation, it was almost like he wanted to get caught. The profile was made and JJ was the one to announce it on the local news for what to look out for, withholding just the right amount of information to make sure he’d strike again.
“I don’t like this whole sit around and wait tactic.” The local captain grumbled.
“We’re not going to sit around and wait.” Emily pointed out, “we know where he’s going to be tonight.”
“So what? We just stake out the location and pull over anyone suspicious? That’ll be great for business.”
“We’re going to send in some undercovers.” She retorted and it was his turn to laugh.
“I don’t know how the FBI works agent, but that kind of thing takes time out here.”
“Good thing I came with reinforcements.” She practically smirked, glancing through the team, “JJ’s already made herself known… Wilson? How’d’you feel about stepping up?”
“You ask that like I have a choice in the matter.” You laughed, shifting up onto the desk behind you, “yeah I can handle it.”
“Good.” Her eyes danced over everyone for a moment, “you and Morgan will handle this.”
“You two up to that?” The local asked, “this guy, he only takes vics who are guaranteed to leave together, ones who are clearly couples.”
“Oh I think baby girl and I can handle it.” Derek chuckled, wrapping an arm around your waist and you groaned, playfully shoving him away from you.
“Morgan keep your hands to yourself until we’re on the job.” You teased and he laughed again, ducking down to kiss your cheek leading you to shove him away from you again.
“We’ll get you two ready and wired up and as much as I want you immersed in your roles please remember that we don’t know what this guy looks like yet, you need to be aware of your surroundings.” Rossi commented and the two of you nodded, assuring him that you were up for the task. Someone had to get this unsub taken down, no matter what kind of pretending you had to do in the meantime.
*
Voodoo Martini was the location for your little set up that evening, JJ and Spencer set up already inside, separately at opposite ends of the bar. Emily and Dave were monitoring with the sheriff in an unmarked van out front with back up around the block. They’d gone in before the bar opened, outfitting it with cameras to monitor the situation and Emily was currently kicking herself for having to send you in on a case like this one. A last minute shopping trip to accurately fit the part left you in a scoop necked halter top, tits pushed up and practically bouncing with each step you took and a pair of jean shorts that Derek already had his hand in the back pocket of while the two of you approached the entrance to the bar.
His arm wound securely around your waist as you entered the place, glancing around as if you were checking to see if anyone you knew was there tonight. The place was pretty full already, dark with coloured lights highlighting the room, soft strobes over on the dance floor. One wall was lined with booths, high top tables scattered throughout the space and two bars, one in the corner of the dance floor beside the DJ booth that was three steps down from the level you entered on where the other larger bar was. Approaching that, Derek squeezed at your side,
“Grab me a beer sweetheart? I’m gonna run to the bathroom.” He pressed a kiss to your temple and slipped off into the crowd leaving you to greet the bartender.
You ordered the beer for him along with a vodka soda for yourself, turning so your body language was open to the room, eyes surveying the crowd for a moment while you took the first couple of sips of your drink. It wasn’t long after that a guy came up, introducing himself as Brandon and asked if he could buy you a shot, you accepted and turned the flirt on just the right amount. You knew Derek was back before you felt his hand on your waist simply at the way Brandon tensed,
“Miss me?” Derek greeted, his free hand brushing your hair off to the side so he could kiss your neck, pulling you snug to him as you slid the beer in his direction.
“Could you have taken any longer? Fuck.” You nipped at his jaw, “meet Brandon.” You gestured to the other man, who practically squeaked out an excuse about needing to meet his friends before scurrying off and Derek chuckled into your ear, his breath hot on your skin.
“Not our guy.” He murmured.
“He did approach thinking I was alone.” You replied, turning to face him and he kept you close, his free hand moving under your chin, tilting it up to him.
“Yeah?” He raised a brow, “well the guy at ten o’clock has had his eye on you since you walked in and hasn’t stopped staring since I came back.”
“I’m not stupid enough to look, I’ll trust your instinct.”
“You trust my instinct to turn up the heat now then?” He asked, quirking an eyebrow and you held back the urge to roll your eyes.
*
“These guys are good.” Emily commented from inside the van, “better than I expected.”
“Almost too good.” Rossi replied, gesturing towards the tv, it gave them video access but no audio. Emily’s eyes drifted back toward the screen and widened at the sight of Derek pulling you closer to him as the two of you kissed, “you sure these two aren’t sleeping together?” Dave asked and Emily did her best not to choke on her coffee, letting out a laugh.
“Doubt it.”
“Dunno,” the sheriff cut in, “if two members of my squad looked like that, I’d think they were.”
“Now that I think of it, when we were in Miami I was going to the ice machine and I saw Wilson sneaking back into her room, looked like she was coming from the direction of Morgan’s.”
“You know who would know the answer to this?” Emily was doing her best to shush the topic as quick as she could, Dave glanced toward her with a raised brow, “Garcia.”
“Good call.” He nodded with a small chuckle, turning back to the surveillance in front of them.
*
Back inside the club, Derek and you mingled, wandering between the bar, a high top table and very reluctantly, you let him drag you out onto the dance floor. You were careful to alternate your drinks with glasses of soda water that looked like they still had booze in them, but still played up the illusion of being drunk. The two of you chatted with more than a few club goers, first to make sure you looked and were approachable, and second to try and find your target. A few hours later and you found yourself back up at the bar, talking with Drew, the guy who Derek had clocked right as you’d gotten there. He certainly seemed interested, buying the both of you another round as the three of you got to know each other a little bit better, pulling lies out of thin air as you went. You’d just accepted a fresh drink from Drew, raising it to clink against his glass, your hand lingering on his arm a moment too long when your phone buzzed on the bar top. Your brow furrowed and you felt a surge of anxiety shoot through you at the notification being labelled ‘Prentiss’ so you quickly scooped it open and swiped open the message.
‘We’re at the wrong place, news bulletin must’ve spooked the unsub. Just found a body two blocks from Whiskey River.’
‘Copy that.’
You nudged at Derek, showing him the screen as you spoke, “babe, our ride’s here.”
“Better get goin’. Thanks for the drinks man.” He clapped Drew on the shoulder as you hopped off the bar stool, swiping a pen from the bar top.
“Sorry we’ve gotta leave like this.” You feigned a pout, grabbing his hand and writing down seven random numbers, “call me.” You shot him a wink before the two of you slipped out of the bar, not dropping the act until you climbed into the SUV.
*
The rest of the night felt like a whirlwind as you left the bar, the team and local pd splitting up to canvas and examine the crime scene to try and figure things out. While you were glad to be out of the club and finally away from Derek’s lingering touches you could still practically feel the heat from his body on you and that was making you absolutely crave the touch of Emily. Part of you was starting to wish you could have gone undercover with her instead, though you knew you never would have been able to keep focussed and you doubt she could’ve either.
Emily did her best not to stare at you, wishing she could have just five minutes alone with you to pin you to a wall and have her way with you. She felt her stomach twisting at the memory of Derek’s hands all over you, the way he’d slowly kissed up your neck to show off to Brandon, just how well the two of you had done at posing as a couple. She was proud of the UC skills but it also lowkey made her want to throw up in her mouth. Having you still dressed in the same clothes, with just an FBI hoodie over top while you moved through the crime scene certainly wasn’t helping anything either.
*
Despite not catching the unsub you and Derek still stopped for a shot at the hotel bar when you finally got home before going your separate ways, a way to say ‘good job’ to the other without having to actually discuss things that had happened. You got back to your hotel room, your head tilting when the door opened and you found Emily perched on the end of your bed, a satin robe loosely tied over her naked body, the bulge between her legs evident.
“You here to debrief me?” You asked with a grin, pulling the hoodie off and tossing it to the spare bed as Emily stood, stepping toward you before her hand gently grabbed your jaw, tilting your face up to her.
“No.” She smirked, “I’m here to remind you who you belong to.”
“Oh?” Your eyes widened and she chuckled, dropping your face from her hand.
“I know it was all an act, but what can I say? I don’t like when other people touch my things.” She shrugged, her hand trailing down your body, slipping between your legs, “and who does this pussy belong to?” She grabbed at your cunt and you gasped, your breath catching in your throat.
“You daddy…”  You breathed out, your eyes fluttering shut and she chuckled.
“That’s what I thought.” Her hand tickled up your body again, tugging at the hem of your shirt as it went and you pulled it off, “I think it’s about time daddy marks you, hmm angel… would you like daddy to stuff you with cum?”
“God yes.” You practically moaned, fingers swiftly getting rid of the robe she had on, gulping over the size of the strap she had on.
“Good.” She smirked, her hands undoing your bra, letting it fall to the floor before they slipped into the waistband of your shorts, urging you to shove them down your legs along with your panties.
Before she could even get another word out you’d sunk to your knees in front of her, looking up at her with doe eyes, a pout on your lips before your tongue darted out, swiping a long lick on the underside of her cock.
“Please?”
“Christ.” She muttered, feeling herself flutter around nothing at the idea of it alone as she nodded and you let out a small giggle.
A moment later and your lips had wrapped around the toy, sinking down to the base, letting it hit the back of your throat in the same moment the base of the toy hit Emily’s clit and she groaned softly. Her hand tangled into your hair, watching the way you began to bob on her length, wet, sinful sounds leaving your lips as you did so. You were eager and she was never going to deny something like the sight of you on your knees for her, you were so fucking hot.
One of your hands glided up her thigh and your fingers slipped under the strap, beginning to toy with her pussy and she gasped. The moment two of your fingers slipped into her wetness she moaned, her free hand clutching at the dresser, never in her life had she had someone get her off while she fucked their mouth and it was an entirely new sensation she would never forget. The sight of you in front of her, burying her cock into your throat, the way your skin bulged as she did so, the eager way you sucked more and more into your lips with each thrust was already enough for her. But now there you were, fingers fucking into her with ease, curling and twisting with expertise, easily finding the sensitive spot within her walls. She was moaning before she knew it, tugging at your hair, holding you down on her cock, living for the sounds you made groaning around it as your fingers fucked her faster, the wet sounds from her cunt getting louder and dirtier with each move of your hand.
“Oh fuck… fuck princess!” She cried and her cock slipped from your mouth with a lewd pop, your fingers not letting up.
“You gonna come for me daddy?” You asked, your voice like silk, the tip of her dick resting against your cheek while your fingers curled within her once again and her thighs shuddered. “I know you want to.” You teased, lips wrapping around her cock once again for a couple of pulses, “come in my mouth. Please?”
“Fuck…” Emily swore softly, watching the way you wrapped around her cock once more as your fingers picked up the pace and within a matter of seconds she was shaking above you, orgasm rocking through her as you continued to bob on her cock.
Her hand shifted from the dresser to the base of the toy and you let her pull it from your lips, opening your mouth as your tongue extended out, waiting for her cum. She shivered in the cool air of the room as she squeezed at the base of the toy and the lube spurted out into your mouth.
“Ah!” Her hand shot out to your jaw right before you went to close it and you grinned as she did so. Emily ducked over you, her tongue surging into your mouth, scooping up as much of the lube as she could, deeply kissing you before pulling away ever so slightly. She then opened her lips, letting it drip down back into your mouth until it was painting your tongue once again, “good girl.”
She watched as you closed your mouth, swallowing the lube before presenting her with a clean empty mouth.
“Get on the bed so daddy can fill that needy pussy with cum.” She nudged at your shoulder and you were quick to scramble onto the bed, watching as she refilled the dildo. “On your hands and knees angel.”
You quickly flipped, letting out a low moan as Emily’s hand sunk between your legs, her fingers teasing your folds, smearing your wetness around, “you really this wet from just getting daddy off? You naughty girl.” She cooed.
“Please…. Please daddy…” your eyes scrunched shut, “need your cock.. now..”
“Now?” She chuckled, the tip of it sliding through your lower lips, resulting in a low moan from you as your hips pushed back toward her, “I guess you really are needy.” She sunk the tip into you before pulling it out, a whine escaping your lips, “well, you were good today princess, I guess I’ll give you what you want.” She sunk fully into you with ease and you groaned, “words baby….”
“Hard and fast.” You murmured, doing your best to bury yourself into the pillows as she gripped your hips with a dark chuckle.
The first thrust Emily gave you was harder than you expected, a loud gasp leaving your lungs before you bit down onto the pillow, the next one just as hard, as you’d asked for. Her hands gripped at your skin so tightly you knew you’d likely have some kind of marking the next morning. Each pump of her hips met yours with vigor, moans leaving both your lips. She couldn’t help but admire just how well you took it, how much of a good girl you really were.
“Christ baby..” She swore, “doing so fucking good for daddy. Already creaming all over my cock… you gonna come already?” She let out a groan at the sight of the toy smeared with your juices, knowing just how good she was making you feel.
“More… please!” You begged, feeling the pleasure surge through you, your pussy clenching down around her cock, wishing it would never end.
“Want me to touch you?” She asked, her hand wrapping around your hips in search of your clit.
“Choke me…” you managed to utter out between soft moans and Emily felt herself flutter once again. She let out a quiet swear before pulling you flush up to her by the hair, smirking as you moaned at the sensation. Her hand ghosted up your body before wrapping around your throat, squeezing as she continued to fuck you.
“That’s my dirty girl.” She purred into your ear, “so fucking naughty for daddy, you just love it don’t you?”
“Uh.. ye… yes..” Your entire body was on fire, you felt like you were about to burst yet there was something missing. Something that Emily only took a second to realize what it was, her free hand shifting from your hip to your clit, pinching and rubbing furiously at it until you were shaking in her arms, doing your best to not be too loud as your orgasm rocked through you.
The hand around your throat vanished, letting you drop to the bed while the other one returned to your hip, Emily feeling herself pulse as she watched you come. She pumped her hips a few more times before she squeezed at the base of the toy, shooting her cum deep into your greedy cunt. You let out a very satisfied moan at the sensation, shuddering as she softly fucked it deeper into you.
“Fuck…” you muttered.
“You like that?” She chuckled, raising a brow.
“Want you to come in me every time.” You mumbled the reply and she laughed, leaning forward to press a gentle kiss between your shoulder blades as she slipped out of you.
“I think that can definitely be arranged.”

Ducktales for the ask fandom thing
Tumblr media
Blorbo- a surprise to no one, Louie. Lives in my head rent free. Huey and Dewey are a close second but Louie takes the crown. I think he’s a little more complex than the other two. He’s the schemer, the charisma, the negotiator. He feeds his self-serving side more and lays around. And, of course, I see myself in him. I see myself in all three of them. But again, because I see him as more complex, he wins my favoritism.
Scrunkly- okay not to put the same character twice but it’s still Louie. Now Louie is not baby in the sense that he “can do no wrong”. Obviously he can, as we have seen. This comes back to complexity I keep talking about. Louie is quite literally baby. He’s the youngest brother and possibly the youngest member of the Duck family, excluding May and June which are kinda a weird situation. So being the youngest, he exhibits a lot of behaviors associated with the youngest. He’s emotional, he scares easily, he wants to be spoiled. It reminds you that, as confident and calculated as he may seem, he’s still a kid. A fragile one in that.
Scrimblo Bimblo- Lou- I’m just kidding. I’m not sure if he’s underrated, but Lil’ Bulb. Dude does a lot! He’s also fiercely protective of Gyro and gets mad whenever Gyro’s insulted. Like it’s in his programming to think of Gyro as his father, which also reflects on Gyro. I’m not sure if this is in Lil’ Bulb’s programming, but Gyro refers to Boyd as Lil’ Bulb’s brother. Therefore I think Lil’ Bulb thinks of Boyd as a brother :)
Glup Shitto- the employees of Glomgold from Escape To/From Atlantis! They were so great. Gabby McStabberson was raised by warrior monks who spoke only the language of the blade? How cool is that? Also she listened to Donald rambling about his family and answered his question about her family. Hack and Slash Smashnikov had the great quote of “But I thought employees were greatest treasure of all”. 10/10 characters we never saw again.
Poor Little Meow Meow- I would say Magica. I like her chaotic attitude. Very Bill-Cipher-esque. However, I will never forgive her for her treatment of Lena. I consider it abuse. Lena didn’t deserve any of it.
Horse Plinko- Louie. I’m sorry- IM SORRY. Depending on who you are as a person, you either know, or you’re completely baffled. I’m one of those people who say “Look a character I absolutely love! How can I torment them physically and emotionally?”. Especially with a character you relate to, it’s really easy to project yourself on to them. Louie also has many wounds that aren’t really explored in the show. At least, not fully addressed. For example, personally, I don’t think he’s really lazy. He puts a lot of work into things he thinks are important, Louie inc., Finding Scrooge’s Dime. I think he prefers to do nothing because he thinks he’s bad a everything, so what’s the point? It makes sense why when he finally finds something he’s good at, he clings on to it for dear life. Without it, he has no purpose. He’s not good at adventuring, which sucks when you’re part of a family of adventurers. He doesn’t belong. Despite portraying himself as confident, he isn’t. He’s just acting, and god we all know he can be convincing. In episodes like The Most Dangerous Game…Night!, Louie’s Eleven!, and Glomtales!, we see this facade crack. We see just how desperate to prove himself and how unsure of himself he can be.
Ebby Deeby- I’ve been going back and forth between Lunarius because THE AUDACITY and Doofus Drake because Doofus Drake. I think Doofus Drake wins. It could be the fact he’s my comfort character’s enemy, but I think what bothers me the most is the fact that he deliberately goes out of his way to make people uncomfortable. Like Lunarius backstabbed Della and targeted her family, but he didn’t SNIFF HER FEATHERS, WHISPER IN HER EAR, AND LICK HER FACE. That is a different kind of evil that resides at the very bottom of hell.

Crazy long text ahead i warn you, just explaining some process I went through while drawing this Frank and Julie low light dying thingie, probably gonna drop some wips along the way, you may want to see… idk, dealer’s choice
!TRIGGER WARNING! Violence, death, suicide. Proceed with caution.
Well where do we begin? The inspiration maybe?
Exploring the magical world of Spotify when a band came in, one of the first songs (if not the first one) of theirs I heard was Partners in Crime by Set It Off, you know, love at first sight, love for their voices, their music style, aaand the lyrics, OH BOI the lyrics, check it out:
“You’ll never takes us alive We swore that death will do us part They’ll call our crimes a work of art You’ll never takes us alive We’ll live like spoiled royalty, lovers and partners”
Dunno, for two passionate juvenil delinquents that just wants trouble this line really fits to me, the dreamy couple feels invencible.
“Everybody freeze Nobody move Put the money in the bag Or we will shoot Empty out the vault And me and my doll will be on our way”
It’s actually interesting to think of the Legion robbing a bank, it’s not like troublesome teens didn’t do that in movies c’mon, it’s a small city, they wear masks, ez!
“Our paper faces flood the streets And if the heat comes close enough to burn Then we’ll play with fire ‘cause
You’ll never takes us alive”
THIS. This is so a Legion thing to say. Can you imagine their masks all around the streets as a warning like “HEY, WE ARE HERE, FEAR US” I love this
“Here we find our omnipotent outlaws Fall behind the grind tonight Left unaware that the lone store owner Won’t go down without a fight Where we gonna go He’s got us pinned Baby I’m a little scared Now, don’t you quit He’s sounded the alarm I hear the sirens closing in”
The second big moment, the adrenaline along with the instrumental is crazy for real
“The skies are black with lead-filled rain A morbid painting on display This is the night the young love died Buried at each others side”
THIS. (again) is the main theme of the drawing, it’s where the inspiration flood over me, the scene was clear in my mind, c’mon if you read till here there’s absolutely no reason not to listen to the song you won’t regret im not even getting payed to show it off
ACTUALLY FORGET IT- i just won a sub on Cody Carson’s stream WHAT IS LIFE??????? Thanks Max!!!
Tumblr media
I totally didn’t draw this while listening to the music when i should be working what are you talking about??
Hold the sketch, focus on the gun. It’s dope aint it?
Anyways, here goes the lore, along with the music lyrics I filled up the gaps, well, Suz and Joey are not around, maybe doing school stuff Julie didn’t feel like doing so she decides to hang out with Frank in the meanwhile, they’re on the lodge, bored, upset about the world cause it’s what teens do in their free time, listening to one of their mixtapes, probably Frank’s, the more hardcore one when the idea hit: what if they try some good mischief? “There’s a small banks a mile from here, want some adrenaline babe?” And oh of course she does, grab your mask, here we go
Tumblr media
Sorry, not a big legs-drawing fan…
They grab their knives, put on the masks, get ready, drive to the bank. I didnt really think this part through, the song says it all. Long story short - they rob the bank, the police arrives, the action begins.
They brought their knives, didn’t expect the cops to show up with guns, damn they didnt even know little Ormond cops had actual guns. After long minutes of hiding on the bank safe the couple decides to fight their way out, they would be more useful alive than dead so laws could apply, but that went out of question once Frank stabbed the first bank employee on his triumphal way out, the police don’t think twice before shooting to protect the citizens inside.
Frank and Julie have too little time to react, the stress and anxiety kicks in, they go feral, crazy cinematic bullet avoids, for a moment it’s possible to get away. It all happened too quick, but in Julie’s vision it went slow motion. She just saw a cop leaning behind a car, aiming directly at Frank, even her fastest reaction wasn’t fast enough to stop the trigger from popping. With tears in her eyes she watches as the bullet hits her boyfriend right in the chest.
She snaps. One target in mind, she sprints to the cop and stabs him over and over until she’s sure he won’t see the sun set ever again. She takes his gun and rushes towards Frank who is kneeling against a taxi holding his torax, she screams that they must go to the hospital immediately but he refuses, hospital would be just a quick stop on his way to jail. No fucking way.
He demands to go back to the lodge, the cops are too busy helping their wounded partner to look for them, they think Frank may be dropped dead somewhere on the street after multiple shots, the two of them must flee before the cops realize the mistake and go hunting for them. NOW.
Julie side-carries Frank back to their car, the lack of a license of her own won’t stop her from driving as fast as the car can. Breathing heavily while constantly telling Frank to hold on, they will find a way out, they must do. Oh what a fucking stupid idea holy SHIT.
The travel takes half the time it usually does and still feels like hours. The car gets all red with Frank’s blood that keeps leaking. Once they arrive, Frank wants to go upstair, Julie shouts at him to keep next the central campfire once he should grab some heat (and for god’s sake why is he still carrying the money bag they stole????), anyway he gets the last word and they climb the stairs up and lay on the bed, Frank hisses from the pain but also sighs in relief for the soft spot under him, ignoring Julie cursing besides him, saying she can still call an ambulance, she doesnt want to lose him, Suz and Joey will be devastated, although he just replies with the phrase they were saying sooner that day “They’ll never take us alive”.
After 20 minutes of agony, low whispers of memories of how they met, what they had been through together and a huge amount of blood moisturing the covers, Frank says he’s feeling light-headed, Julie looks at him and he’s paper white, the blood loss is finally getting to him, she wants to cry, scream, curse and stab that damn cop a hundred times again, but all she does is cuddle her head harder against his shoulder and tell him she loves him, that she will keep his legacy alive, with Joey and Susie, she will revenge him. He chuckles and slowly feels the life being drained from his weaked body until everything goes black.
Julie need a few seconds to process. Frank died. For real. He was good a few hours ago, he was right. They would never take them alive. Death could do them apart, but, he never said for how long they would be apart.
She reaches for the gun on the hand under Frank’s body. THAT DAMN GUN. She aims it to the side of her head, never leaving Frank’s side on the bed. Triggers it.
“Partners in crime”
Tumblr media
Damn did I just write a fucking fanfiction? This shit is way longer than I expected, did anybody even get down here?
Well, this is the part of the drawing where i left cause I just couldn’t afford to work on it, have in mind everytime the file were opened the whole lore came in my head, and fuck did i feel dizzy writing it all down. Hell the bloody details get me, seeing Frank so white with a blue undertone simulating the lifeless body gave me headaches fr. My escape was drawing other things until the courage to finish it came back. It was easier because the story kinda faded away from my mind, the drawing became “lighter” to deal with.
Well, guess that’s it. I hardly have this big insight while drawing, to visualize the finished piece on my brain and it’s just so fucking cool, making art with so many mixed feelings along, and overall pride, cause i feel so proud with the result you have no idea. It isn’t perfect tho, but i like it anyway. So, thank you so much if you made it all the way here. gonna sleep now for fucks sake im gonna pass out bye

The Five's Store au we were talking about?
yesssss the good kush. gonna do this in bullets because i feel like it might get long. jsyk i didn’t read through literally any of this so for whatever typos i made sorry lmao
five wakes up one day (post apocalypse) and thinks hey, you know what would be a completely rational and not at all impulsive idea to follow through with.
that’s right folks.
he’s gonna start a store.
the thing here is, five has absolutely no idea how business functions. sure he’s been part of a massive organization for years, but actually doing like,, store things? lol what
but that doesn’t matter because he’s gonna have a store and he can learn as he goes, no big deal
it’s a very big deal. five does not know how to manage a store.
it’s literally just called “five’s store.” how did he fund it? when did they build it? nobody knows. it’s like those fast-food restaurants that just pop up one night and you have no clue how they got there.
so. five’s got his store. this is nice. he didn’t actually know what he wanted to sell, but because his siblings couldn’t talk him out of this (read: they didn’t know it was happening until it was too late) they suggest things
baked goods! bicycles! books! postcards! writing materials! furniture! shut up klaus nobody is selling what you’re about to suggest shUT UP-
so five decides, fuck it, and just. shoves everything into this store. how? i don’t know. nobody does.
i literally have no ideas how stores work so im playing all of this by ear (vanya if you’re out there) but five also doesn’t know how stores work so it’s all good. gucci, if you will. five has probably stolen gucci before, for a mission or something idk just a thought
so five has his store but he’s so bad at managing it. first off, hiring employees didn’t occur to him. it’s just five in a building
customer: *walks in* hello can i have a cake pleasefive: sure :) five: *gives them a pie*customer: little boy, who do you think you are? i said a cakefive: cake? oh shit you’re right, sorry.five: *gives them a breadroll* :)customer: what a rude little boy! let me speak to your manager. is it even legal for a teen to be employed?(he passes as 15 ok props to aidan for being older than his character’s physical age lmao)five: ok *walks out into the back room* *walks back in* hi what can i help you with
the kids love him though. it’s always “mommy when can we shop at five’s again?” etc etc and five is like. shitposting irl. without realizing. he genuinely doesn’t know the difference between types of cheeses. he can’t tell you how an LED is different from a fluorescent bulb. he actually, literally, doesn’t know this shit.
why is he in charge of a store? fuck if i know, but im having fun with this
the siblings try to help out, but it ends with five kicking them out because they were “arranging the cacti wrong” or “messing with the bathroom toilet covers too much”
what are bathroom toilet covers? idk but we have them in my house and we only use them for christmas theyre the worst. imagine a fucking snowman staring at you everytime you want to take a shit. goodluck
five loves his store dearly tho
from offbrand cream cheese to onbrand sweatervests.
hm luther probably tries to help with the gardening section once in a while. he comes in and immediately has to hold back tears because “five when was the last time you watered these begonias.”
‘oh last week probably i dont know’
“five you have to water them at least once a day”
‘how was i supposed to know that’
“five you OWN a STORE-”
so yeah luther just. silently looms in the corner. watering plants. he scares asshole customers away even though he never says anything he just stands there. and waters the plants. some nice ladies initiate conversation and he just goes off about plant things which is so valid i love him
he’s like hargid but less rough around the edges. friendly giant. bfg but with plants. five never comments on how he takes a plant home occasionally.
diego sticks around the cutlery for reasons well known. he always tries to take knives home, to sharpen them, he claims, but five draws the fucking line there.
im making it sound like five owns some massive corporate building. no. his store is like a very compact IKEA. it has everything an ikea would, but it’s barely the size of a target. actually targets are pretty big. walmart maybe? dollar store? bigger than a dollar store though. hmmm just an average department store
lowes. that’s it. it’s like an ikea but the size of a lowes. five owns a lowes called Five’s Store.
okay so allison’s sole purpose is to stand outside and offer free autographs. she basically bribes people into going in. it’s like walmart. as soon as you go in you physically can’t go out without buying something.
jk she also helps five with his customer service because what the fuck it’s terrible. also funding. she’s a rich actress. all of them have an inheritance probably though, but five didn’t want to use reggies money because this is all a really huge “fuck you” to dad. cheers to him.
OH MY GOD ALLISON PROBABLY SHOOTS ADS FOR FIVE’S STORE (in future mentions will be abbreviated to FS for my convenience) AND THAT’S HOW THEY GET TRACTION YES
klaus and ben kinda uhhhh hang around. klaus is kicked out by five a lot because “don’t touch that” “get your hands off” “where did you get a chainsaw? put that down, klaus stop-” and all that usual average stuff, but when they need it klaus is willing to be a cashier for a little bit
ben is the only one with like. actually useful tips.
ben voice: no that’s not how you purchase items to sellfive: ???ben: here okay just go do something else and let the adults handle the money okay?
five can’t punch ben because he’s dead so HA. klaus probably makes ben corporeal though rip
ooo ben can also shelve things with his interdimensional wiggly worms! he can reach those high high shelves that have packaged stuff on them.
…costco? no i dont think FS is as massive as costco moving on
ben shelves stuff. we are eternally grateful for that. bless
vanya is the only actual competent adult you guys know this right. like sure the rest of them come CLOSE (mainly ben and allison, but ben doesn’t really count because he’s dead) but vanya is the only actual competent adult in this family (pogo dni)
so vanya does the taxes. rip to her. nobody likes taxes, but she’s taking one for the team
diego helps sometimes. tries to help sometimes. he brings her coffee does that count
kidding, diego knows how to taxes a little bit. emphasis on the “little” and “bit” and the silent “barely”
so yeah they all help out and i know i said five kicks them all out but i lied that never really happens. the store is like their side job but they’re not paid and it’s more of a hobby that got out of control
honestly five probably brings grace in and she bakes away because it makes her so happy that her cookies can make so many people happy. let her bake please.
claire probably owns an easy bake oven. just saying
yeah five has a store and it’s the literal best thing. it’s midnight so im gonna cut myself off but skjfsk this au is amazing thank you spencer for this golden concept
im gonna be honest all of this really reminds me of my mcdonalds five au which i might ramble about if requested lol

Day 11 (Saturday)
RomanoTaco: hey pat, you ok? PattyCake: ya lo wsnt to mad RomanoTaco: did you tell him? PattyCake: most of it RomanoTaco: im gonna go w verg 2day PattyCake: ok
LBerry: Planets are to be pitied as they cannot know how big and cool they are.
Roman managed to slip out of the house with minimal berating from his mom about getting in so late, which he chalked up to a miracle in and of itself. He couldn’t find Elliott or Dr Picani during his late afternoon wanderings, but he did find Talyn back up on the roofs and the two quickly started making there way to the tracks with some more tin soldiers for Talyn to destroy. As they arrived and got into position, Talyn looked over at him and said, “You look horrible. Like you have been through way too many wash cycles, Killer.” Roman rolled his eyes, pulling up his legs and waiting for the train to pass before responding, “Look, it’s been a long week.” “Yeah, how much sleep did ya get last night?” Talyn challenged. Roman furrowed his brow as he tried to remember when exactly he went to bed, “I think it was 14 hours. So, less than usual.” Talyn gave some sort of indistinguishable sound of surprise and Roman looked over at them in confusion. “14 hours is less than usual?” Talyn gasped. “Dude, I’m lucky if I hit five.” Roman turned his head away before answering, “Look, I don’t rest well when I sleep. I feel more rested the more I get because of my nightmares.” Talyn hummed in agreement, “Now, nightmares I can understand. But you really shouldn’t be sleeping for 14 or however many hours you do sleep.” Roman didn’t answer, choosing to just lay there as the train passed by. Once it did, he chose to change the subject, “You know what Possum Springs is lacking?” “Wifi? Cell service? Any technology post-1980’s? A public pool?” “All of those, yes. But I was thinking that what Possum Springs is really lacking is-” Roman paused for dramatic effect, “-a serial killer!” Talyn raised a carefully coloured eyebrow at him, “Dude, don’t you count?” Roman huffed, “No, not me! A real bonafide killer who, you know, wants to kill people.” “Well, you did try to kill someone,” Talyn tried to point out. “No, I didn’t,” Roman turned his head away. “People think you did.” “I wasn’t trying to kill him. It was just a thing that happened,” Roman snapped, his voice trailing off as another train came by. Once it passed, Roman stood up and started to walk away. “Wait, where are you going?” Talyn called after him. “Don’t you want to see the monsters?” Roman turned back to them with a sad smile, “No thanks. I’m gonna go find my own.” Talyn’s whole face melted into one of confusion and horror. “Be safe, Talyn. Please,” Roman turned and walked away, not entirely surprised when Talyn didn’t come running after him. After all, he had given them no reason to.
Roman found Virgil at the Ole’ Pickaxe, giving about a hundred different warnings to his employee, Corbin, about what he would do if he came back and found even one part of the store out of place. Roman was impressed that Corbin’s face managed to stay fairly impassive through the whole exchange, only the slightest inkling of worry etching on his brow. As soon as Roman and Virgil finally left, Virgil lit up a cigarette and said, blowing the smoke into the air, “I hope I didn’t terrify him too bad. He’s a good employee.” Roman frowned, “He didn’t look hardly scared to me.” Virgil smirked as he unlocked the car, “Oh, he was freaking terrified. Corbin’s just really good at hiding it. Now buckle up, it’s a long drive.” “How long?” Roman asked as he shut his door. “90 minutes give or take, depending on how many people are out on the road,” Virgil said, snuffing out his cigarette before climbing in himself. Virgil was right, it was a long drive. Roman was extremely tired still, so he dozed on and off while Virgil blared loud music from the stereo. It was only when they pulled into a small town that Virgil turned the music down and Roman started to pay attention to the town. “I’ve never been to Gainesville before?” Virgil took another puff of the cigarette he was smoking, “Yeah, it is kinda small compared to wherever you went to school, but it has a university. Nice college town. Maybe you should have come here, then you wouldn’t have been so far away.” Roman grunted, “Yeah, maybe. Who do you even know here though?” “Old friend from high school, you probably don’t know her,” Virgil said as he started to pull into an open spot on the side of the street. “Really?” Roman questioned. When Virgil didn’t respond, Roman huffed and turned to look back out the window. He noticed the sign of one of the storefronts, “Hey, look! They have a scouts program here! Remember when we were in that.” Virgil hummed as he stepped out of the car, “Yeah, that’s where we met.” “Why did you even pick me out of all people to hang out with there?” Roman asked, closing his door behind him. “I started hanging with you cause I was new and you seemed smart and fun,” Virgil explained. Roman turned to him, “Well, what am I now?” “Fun,” Virgil deadpanned. “I hate how you keep saying I’m not smart,” Roman huffed, following Virgil who had started walking down the street. “Sorry,” Virgil said with a smirk. “I’m mostly kidding.” “Mostly?” Roman questioned but didn’t get a chance to continue as Virgil quickly snuffed out his cigarette, returned the other half to his case, and started down a set of stairs. Roman quickly scrambled after him, following him into what seemed to be a basement bar. A girl with short brown hair was standing at the bottom of the stairs, peering up with a glass bottle in her hands. As soon as she recognized Virgil, she exclaimed, “Verge! Where have you been? I was beginning to think you wouldn’t make it!” Roman peered around Virgil as he said, “Yeah, sorry about that.” The girl laughed, “Dude, it’s no issue. But I have a few possible prospects and I didn’t want to let that go to waste. Boy, you reek of cigarette smoke!” “This whole place does,” Virgil snarked, shoving his hands into his hoodie pockets. “Yeah, but it is wafting off of you. I thought you said you were gonna cut back and try to- who is this?” the girl had finally noticed Roman and was now glaring at him. Roman tried for a nice smile, holding out a hand, “Hi, I’m Ro-” “Everyone knows who you are, Roman Sanders,” the girl crossed her arms, one long fingernail against her bottle. “Oh, um,” Roman pulled his hand back as he struggled to find some way to respond to that. “Valerie,” Virgil cautioned. “I brought him. Now, what is the plan?” Valerie narrowed her eyes before turning to Virgil, “Dancing first. When the guys I have my eye on come back, then we move in.” “Are you sure?” Virgil asked, his voice dropping more and more into his deadpan. “Now, Verge, have I ever let you down before?” “Well, there was that one debacle with the-” “Other than that incident we never speak of,” Valerie cut him off. Virgil sighed then shook his head. “Good, let’s go.” “Man, she is intense,” Roman whispered to Virgil as they followed her out to the dance floor. “Yeah, well, she is just looking out for me. She was my only friend in high school,” Virgil said. Roman stopped as the reminder hit him, letting Virgil go slightly out in front of him before following once again. They weren’t out on the dance floor for very long before Valerie stopped them and pointed back towards the entrance. “I see them. Let’s go,” she grabbed Virgil’s hand and made to pull him towards whomever she had her targets set on, but Virgil dug in his heels quickly. He looked back at Roman, “You’ll be okay, right?” “Yeah, I’ll come find you when I’m done dancing,” Roman nodded. “Okay, no alcohol, remember.” And with that, Virgil was gone, following Valerie through the crowd. Roman continued to dance for a while but was beginning to think that he should get a drink when he spotted someone leaning against the wall. He slowly walked over greeting them with a loud hi. The mysterious person looked over at him, their piercing blue eyes staring directly at him from under their fluffy blue bangs, “Hey.” “Um, do I know you?” Roman asked, vaguely noticing a hint of black ink peeking out from under the person’s scarf. “Nope,” the person said, a smile on their face. “What’s your name?” “Roman. Roman Sanders,” he introduced himself with a slight bow. “Roman,” they repeated. “I like it. Sounds like it could be royalty if your last name was King or Prince.” Roman laughed, “Nope. But I could be a witch for all you know. Maybe I have hexed you with my name.” The undeniably cute person laughed in response, a dimple appearing in their right cheek, “Well, Roman Sanders. What’s your story?” Roman thought for a long moment. He could lie, but this cute girl, boy? Whatever they were, he just didn’t feel like lying to them. “I’m a recent college dropout,” he explained. “I am chasing a ghost or it is chasing me, I’m not really sure. I’ve had these dreams that I’m not sure were dreams, more like jumbled bits of history. I think I met god, but who’s to say. But I’m pretty sure the ghost kidnapped someone. I’m like 90% sure I didn’t imagine that, but my friends aren’t buying it. I came home in order to feel normal again, but that isn’t really working out. But then I came here and I saw you and…” Roman trailed off, looking up at those gorgeous eyes again. Upon realizing they looked extremely worried, he laughed nervously, scratching at the back of his neck, “I just realized I’ve never listed that all out at once before.” “Wow,” they breathed out. “I stole your life story.” Roman chuckled, ‘Yeah, I guess.” “Hey,” the person reached out to grab Roman’s hand. “Watch this,” they placed their own hand on top of Roman’s and then traced a pattern over top with a blue-painted finger. Roman instantly felt about ten times calmer. “Wow,” he breathed. “Pretty cool, huh?” they smiled, still holding onto Roman’s hand. Roman looked back up at those eyes, “Wow.” They chuckled and then they both just stood there for a long moment. Roman finally said, “Um, I’m gonna go let my friend know I’m over here. I told him I would let him know when I was done dancing.” “Okay,” they leaned in a little closer. “You do that.” They dropped Roman’s hand, leaning back against the wall. Roman took a step back, finding moving very difficult. “I-I’ll be right back,” he managed. “I’ll be here.” Roman took another two steps back before finally turning and ducking through the crowd, trying to find Virgil and/or Valerie and let them know he was going to be over there talking to that bombshell of a person. He found both of them talking to a couple of more guys. “Hey Verge!” he called out as he walked over to stand next to his friend, eyeing the glass bottle of bright green liquid in his hands. “Hey Roman. This is Nate,” Virgil said, waving at one of the guys who merely hummed, scratching at the stubble on his chin. “And I’m Sloane,” the other guy said, a smile on his face. “Your friend is pretty cool.” “Yeah,” Roman looked up at Virgil, noting how rigid he was standing. “Yeah, he’s pretty alright. Did he tell you I saw a ghost the other day?” Roman raised an eyebrow in confusion as Virgil giggled, but Sloane just asked, “Like Memento Mori?” “Yeah, yeah, sick transit glorya nerd,” Roman scoffed. When Virgil giggled again, he turned more towards him, “You’re laughing a lot.” “So,” Nate spoke up, apparently not having heard Roman’s comment. “Virgil, that’s an old name. Like something you hear in a book.” “A book you like?” Virgil suggested. Roman looked up at his friend in confusion. This was very weird. Did Virgil always act this way around others when Roman wasn’t around? That couldn’t be right. “I used to read a lot,” he spoke up, trying to redirect the conversation with the first thing that popped into his mind. “My grandad read to me when I was younger. Before he got dementia and died.” There was silence for a moment before Nate spoke again, “Sorry about your grandad, dude.” “It’s okay, it was years ago,” Roman shrugged. “Virgil’s mom is dead too.” Virgil let out another nervous giggle, hissing between his teeth, “Roman, stop.” “It’s okay,” Roman turned back towards the boys, purposely avoiding Valerie’s darkening glare. “I’m sure everyone here knows someone who has died.” There was silence for a long moment and Roman was starting to worry when Sloane spoke up, “My dog died last spring when my house exploded. There was a gas leak from when my dad hit the line trying to dig up the dog we had before that because we were going to move and my dad said he had to come with us.” There was silence for another long moment as everyone stared this time at Sloane. “Wow,” Valerie finally said, breaking everyone’s stares. “So, Nate, what are you majoring in?” Virgil asked, trying to get the conversation back to where it was before. “Political science,” Nate said, taking a sip from his own bottle, the liquid a murky brown. “Oh, that’s cool. Are there a lot of jobs in that?” Virgil asked. “Oh, I don’t know,” Nate shrugged. “I just find it really interesting. I think you have to be pretty materialistic to go to college just to get a job afterwards.” “That’s interesting because-” “Whoa, stop!” Roman cut off Virgil, his voice low. “Check out rich kid over here. Gonna pay zillions of dollars to go to school just cause something ‘is interesting.’ Verge, check this guy out. You ever worked a day in your life, prep?” Nate took a step back, frowning, “I interned at my uncle’s law firm, yes.” “Well, I bagged groceries,” Roman growled back. Virgil laughed lowly before saying, “That is so interesting. Roman, do you want to go dance some more?” Roman looked up at him, but before he could answer, Virgil gave him a subtle push, “You should go dance.” “Yeah, my parents own their own business, so,” Nate spoke again and Roman chose to stick around while Virgil was distracted again. “Oh, tell me about it,” Virgil asked with genuine interest. “I know a thing or two about running a small business.” Nate smiled, “Wanna go across the street and get a pizza?” “I could eat,” Virgil said. “And it’s a small business!” “You speak their language,” Nate laughed. “You can get us free slices.” Roman growled. He was sick and tired of this guy. “Verge doesn’t like spoiled rich kids, Maggie.” Valerie cut in, “I would like to go with you guys if you don’t mind.” “Sure,” Virgil said with a smile. “The more the merrier.” Roman was done with this whole situation. Why was Virgil acting so weird? He was obviously still super tense, but wanting to hang with these spoiled brats more. The lights of the bar were starting to blend together in Roman’s peripheral vision, but he had his sights set in on a certain guy who still stood out clearly from the crowd. “Hey Michael, let me tell you something about Virgil Alighieri. He is super on top of things, super smart, and super responsible. He runs like the biggest store in Possum Springs.” “Roman, no,” Virgil whispered. Sloane spoke louder, confusion on his face, “What the heck is Possum Springs?” “It’s west, in the mountains,” Nate explained. Roman just kept going, his eyes flashing, making the red more obvious, “While rich kid over here is studying politicians or whatever, Virgil’s out in the real world. Not like you college kids.” “Roman!” Valerie gasped, her hand clenched so tight that if her bottle was plastic, she surely would have crushed it. “What?” Nate looked over at Virgil in confusion, while Virgil just stared down at the ground, nervously giggling to himself. “I’m kinda over the whole college thing myself. Virgil and I basically run Possum Springs except there’s like a ghost or something,” Roman continued. “You two live in Possum Springs?” Sloane questioned. “Yeah, got a problem with that?” Roman snapped back. “Wow,” Nate whistled. “You drove all the way here from Deep Hollow County? Isn’t that like two hours away?” “No, I…” Virgil trailed off, trying to hide the shaking of his hands. Nate barked out a laugh, elbowing a confused-looking Sloane, “These two drove all the way from Deep Hollow! That’s rich!” “But, aren’t you like a student?” Sloane asked, confused. “Yeah, well, you see, I’m,” Virgil stammered. Suddenly his bottle fell out of his hand, crashing to the floor, spreading sticky soda everywhere. He put one hand up to his mouth and turned and ran, disappearing up the nearby stairs. “Wait! Virgil!” Valerie quickly took off after him. “What was that about?” Roman heard Sloane ask behind him. “I don’t think he’s a student here,” Nate sighed and a sloosh followed. “So?” Sloane still sounded utterly lost. Roman turned to give them a warning growl before running after Virgil. At the top of the stairs, he found Valerie across the street, calling for Virgil. Valerie spotted Roman running across the street and ran to meet him, her eyes dangerously dark. “What the hell was that?” she screamed. “I was going to ask the same thing!” Roman yelled back. “How in the world did you mess that up! He needs this! And now he’s who knows where! I swear, if anything has happened to him, I will personally end you,” she snapped. “Okay, geez!” Roman held up his hands in surrender. “Okay,” Valerie took a deep breath. “I’m going to go up the street, you go down to the docks. We find him, make sure he is safe, and meet back here. Got it?” “Got it,” Roman agreed and the two split, intent on finding their mutual friend. Roman ran down the side of the street, scanning everyone around him through the mist, trying to just spot his friend. Finally, he spies the docks up ahead with a silhouetted figure sitting at the end of one. He makes almost completely there before finally collapsing a few feet away. The figure turned around, Virgil’s dark brown eyes looking at him with contempt. Roman just gasped for air, “Sorry, I just ran all the way here. And it wasn’t even that far. I’m just really out of shape.” Virgil huffed and turned back to the river. He didn’t speak until Roman finally could breathe again and asked, “What happened back there?” “What happened?” Virgil snapped. “You ruined that chance I had! A chance at feeling normal for once in my shitty life! I don’t know if you could even realize how bad it is. My entire life ended the day my mom died. Now I have to take care of what is left of my family and every single day what little chance of a future outside of Possum Springs I have left slips away. You gave up the very thing I want so bad and I can’t help but hate you for it!” Virgil’s voice cracked finally as he lowered his head into his shaking hands. Roman pushed himself back up into a sitting position staring down at his own hands, eyes on a scar running along his left thumb. He muttered, “You don’t know anything about it.” Virgil’s head snapped back towards him, his face faintly flushed red under his foundation, “What is there to know?” Roman growled back, “You judge me, but did you ever ask why I left?” “Yeah. Your first day back.” “Oh,” Roman deflated, the little bit of righteous anger left leaving as his whole body sagged. “Right.” There was silence for a moment, as Virgil looked back out at the river. “So,” Virgil finally asked. “Why did you leave?” Roman blinked, staring at the strangely shaped boats across the river, “I… I don’t know. My head is in pieces right now. Any answer would sound nuts.” “Oh, well that’s illuminating,” Virgil deadpanned with a roll of his eyes. At this point, only his hands still shaking betrayed that he wasn’t totally emotionless. “Shut up,” Roman growled. “All this stuff going on all week? Ghosts and shit? I met this god thing for crying out loud. And look, we’re both trapped. But we’re trapped together. And I’m sorry.” Virgil looked back at him in surprise, “I don’t think you’ve ever apologized to me for anything.” “Well,” Roman shrugged. “I guess I’m full of surprises.” After another long moment, he asked, “Would we be friends if he weren’t stuck together?” Virgil sighed before admitting, “I don’t know.” After another long moment, Virgil groaned again before lowering his head back into his hands, “My life is so embarrassing. Why did I even come here? I almost didn’t. If you hadn’t said yes, I would have cancelled on Valerie.” “Hey,” Roman scooted closer so he was sitting next to his friend. “You are genuinely one of the strongest people I know. It takes a lot of bravery to try and change the entire course of one’s life.” Virgil snorted, his smile more genuine then any other he had given that night, “And I guess you aren’t as big of an idiot as I say. And you’re a genuinely good person.” Roman smiled, turning to look back over at the misty river, “I’ll take it. And tonight was a complete loss. I met a cute… someone.” “Really?” Virgil looked over at Roman with a cocked eyebrow. “What’s their name?” Roman opened his mouth to answer, but stopped, his eyes wide, “I-I don’t know. I didn’t even get their contact information. Virgil, we have to come back sometime!” He reached over, grabbing Virgil’s sleeve and shaking it with wide eyes while Virgil just laughed. “Okay, okay, we’ll come back,” he said as he pushed himself to his feet, holding out one still-shaking hand to help Roman to his feet as well. “We should make good time going home, it is such a clear night.” Roman looked back at the misty night behind them in confusion, before turning and chasing after Virgil.

Cowboy Bebop scifell thing I guess
" - known as 'Mad Science', has a bounty of 5,000,000. Bring 'im in - dead or alive - and th' prize is yours!"
Fell perked up, his black and red streaked hair falling every which way as he stared at the screen. There was a mugshot of a young man with dirty blonde hair tied back into a ponytail. He had a slim build and bright green eyes narrowed into a stubborn glare.
Fell stared at the picture and grinned. This one might actually be fun. And the reward wasn't small by any means. His brother, a stocky man named Edge, sighed as he walked in, arms weighted with a heavy toolbox.
"Sup bro?" His brother grunted.
"This ship is falling apart. I'm surprised it's stayed together this long," he muttered.
Fell sighed.
"Yeah," he said, "might be time to get a new one." Edge glared at him.
"And how, exactly, do you suggest we do that? We have little to no money, and if we steal one there'll be no more hunting which means no more money which means no more food," he snapped. Fell raised his hands in surrender and nodded towards the broadcast.
"Mad Science, of course."
The taller male stared down at him skeptically.
"How much is he going for?"
Once they had both cringed at such wording, insisting that even the criminals they hunted were people, not property. But they had spent years hunting them. Tracking them. They'd seen them do terrible things for their own benefit, or no reason at all. It was hard to think of them as people.
Thinking of that now, Fell understood why they might not want to be caught - other than their crimes.
"Five million." Edge let out an appreciative whistle.
"Mad Science was last seen heading for XY-2738. Stay tuned for more at -"
Fell turned off the TV. The brothers locked eyes. Fell grinned impishly, and Edge sighed with a fond eye roll.
"Looks like we're heading for XY-2738."
---~~~---
The streets of XY-2738 were bustling with people of many races. One man would be pretty hard to find. But Fell had specialized in such impossibilities for years, making him much better for the job.
A man with a cap tugged over his eyes to shield them from the dual power of the two suns overhead sat down on the bench next to him and heaved a sigh.
"Long day?" Fell asked from under the wide brim of his own hat.
"Stars, you have no idea," the man groaned. Fell smirked a little and hid it before the man could see. He had a pretty good idea of just how long his day had been.
"What's your name, kid?"
The man's eyes slid over to him before he huffed derisively.
"No."
"Fine. I'll just have to guess."
"Good luck," he muttered.
"Is it.....mmmmmm....Mad Science?" The man twitched. Fell hit the underside of his cap hard enough to fling it off of his head, revealing a long ponytail and spring green eyes glaring at him balefully. Fell grinned as Mad Science leapt away and started running.
Oh yes. He was right. This one was fun.
He ran after the blonde, adrenaline pounding through his head and fueling his steps as he donned a manic smile.
After thirty minutes, his sides were cramping, breathing was hard, his legs were burning, and Mad Science had gone out of sight.
Fell growled. This was the best quarry he'd had in years. He would not be giving up so easily.
The rain came down harder as hours passed. It had snuck up on him suddenly, but he kept running, even as the autumn rain soaked through his thin jacket and froze in his bones, he refused, pushed forward by the occasional glances of the target racing around corners or jumping fences. Finally, he couldn't go anymore. He nearly collapsed into a puddle that had submerged his entire foot. He couldn't keep going in this weather. He'd get himself sick.
He wandered around town, slinking silently under awnings as he tried to stay dry. A lesson in futility, he mused sulkily as one of the awnings dumped the water it had collected onto him.
There was a shoddy looking inn just across the street.
The hunter considered his options. Places like that were usually cheap, desperate for any customers and afraid to scare them off with high prices. He rummaged around in his bag. He had a good 100 C on him. Should be more than enough. He could either go in and get changed, being mildly inconvenienced, or he could stay out in the cold and catch his death from a knife in an alley or the ice trickling through his veins.
It wasn't a hard choice.
He wandered in. A brunette humanlike alien sat behind the counter, giving a too-wide smile at the blonde in front of them.
“And here's the key. Room 13 on your left, sir.”
“Thank you,” replied a now slightly familiar voice. Fell froze in place for a moment.
He didn't know if it was a moment of sympathy or stupidity when he decided to let him be for the night.
“I'm sorry sir,” the humanoid person said softly, “we don't have anymore rooms.” They really did sound upset, and he knew it wasn't their fault, but he still gave a frustrated huff.
“Do you have a phone I can use?” he asked gruffly. “Mine died.”
The employee shook their head.
“Shit,” he hissed. The voice he'd been chasing all day called out from across the room.
“You can use mine. Either that, or I have a charger,” the other human grumbled. Fell blinked at him, eyes narrowed. Mad Science rolled his eyes at him.
“Oh please,” he snapped. “If I wanted to do anything to you, I could have done it a good ten minutes ago. Besides, I'm too tired for this shit and I'm cold. I'm not moving more than I have to.” Fell considered his options and gave a jerky nod and followed the criminal to his room.
The space was small, almost cramped, with the two of them in there, but the green-eyed man didn't seem to mind. He put his phone and charger on the nightstand between them, easily within his reach. He sat on the bed and laid down, wrapping the blanket around himself. He was shivering.
More sympathetic stupidity, which, Fell noticed with rising alarm, was becoming a bit too constant for his comfort, led to him pulling out a thicker blanket from his water resistant satchel and tossing it to him gently.
He stared at him in bewilderment. “Thanks.”
“If ya don't stop shaking I might strangle you,” he growled with false annoyance.
The blonde rolled his eyes (but his lips quirked upwards a bit). Fell plugged his phone in.
A thick silence settled over them.
“Thanks,” the hunter mumbled. The target nodded.
More silence.
“Ya know, I just realized something,” he mused, “I never got your name.”
“I never gave it.”
“Would you?”
Mad Science blinked, brows furrowed. His head tilted to the left in a noiseless inquiry.
“Would you tell me your name?” he clarified, “I would like to know who's room I'm standing awkwardly in.” The leaner male snorted a little. He put his hand out for a shake.
“Sci.” Fell grinned.
“Is that a nickname, or is that what you got your title from?” Sci's face reddened.
“Second one,” he mumbled softly.
He snickered. That's adorable.
Sci shivered again. The dark haired man hesitated. He shook off his jacket and hung it on the back of a chair before clambering on the bed and pulling him against his torso. Sci yelped in alarm and indignance before he realized that Fell was a walking heating pad and relaxed against him with a sigh. The hunter chuckled. The quiet was far more comfortable now. It had no right to be, seeing as how he was holding a target/total stranger, but it was.
His phone rang. 10% charge. He picked up to hear his panicked brother over the line.
“Fell, where the hell are you? Why haven't you been returning my calls?”
“Chill bro. I'm at a motel, just needed to charge my phone.” There was a heavy sigh over the other end. Fell glanced down to see Sci watching him carefully. He gave him a small confused frown.
“What's the status on target apprehension?” Sci's eyes narrowed and he became tense. With a grimace, Fell remembered exactly who he'd been targeting.
“Uh-”
“Actually, nevermind. Tell me about it after I pick you up.” Well fuck.
Edge would not give a single damn about anything Sci had done for him, but rather whatever he'd done to get a 5,000,000 C bounty on his head. Fell, on the other hand, figured he owed the guy. He could have left him in the lobby or the rain with a dead phone, but he chose not to, and he seemed a pretty decent guy. He honestly felt a little guilty, especially with the way Sci was staring up at him.
“‘Sup?” Fell asked, trying to keep it casual.
“Meh. My day’s been okay so far. I went all around the city. I didn't see much, since I was being chased and all, but I got plenty of exercise,” Sci said nonchalantly. “Then it started raining and I got cold, so I found this little bed and breakfast place. I decide to stay the night because it's cold as balls and I don't want to deal with that shit. And what do you know, the guy who was chasing me walks right in as I'm getting my key! And they're out of rooms and I don't want to make him go back outside because it's fucking cold even though he would totally deserve it for chasing me all day. I had things to do! Important things that I have a time limit on!” Sci ranted. Fell wisely kept his big ass mouth shut. “I don't really know why I let him use my phone charger because who the fuck would he be calling except I forgot that he's trying to arrest me and so now I have a stranger who's trying to turn me in to the police for some cash in my room while he waits for his partner or roommate or whoever the fuck called him while I'm sitting in his fucking lap.”
Fell fidgeted uncomfortably. Sci slid smoothly off of him. Fell missed his warmth.
“Ya know, I could just...tell my bro to pick me up tomorrow night and hide you somewhere? If I'm not already gone by then.” Sci made a reluctant noise in the back of his throat.
“How would you convince him though?” Sci asked. Fell grinned and picked up the phone. He quickly texted his brother, holding his phone so Sci could see and know what was going on. Sci jolted when the dark haired man put his arms around his waist, but quickly settled down again once he saw what he was doing.
F: don't bother picking me up tonight. Already paid for the room.
E: alright. Fine. Not like I haven't already made your plate or anything. Asshole.
E: so when do you want me to come get you?
F: tomorrow night should be alright.
E: k.
Fell placed his phone back on the bedside table. The blonde’s eyelids started to droop.
“Tired?” Fell whispered. The criminal jumped.
“Don't do that!” he snapped. Fell's phone buzzed again. He suddenly realized that he was still cuddling Sci. He pulled his arms away.
E: lock the door and keep your gun on you.
Fell rolled his eyes. Edge could be such a mother hen.
F: I will.
He put it back down. Sci shuffled in his lap. His arms wrapped around Fell's middle, his face buried in his chest. Fell, not knowing what to do, fell into the old behavior of hair petting. He would do this for Edge when he got a nightmare. Just like old times, he zoned out, and just like old times, he came back to reality to see a sleeping form nuzzled into him.
Fell stared down at the blonde curled against his chest and sighed softly. Just for tonight. They both needed it right now. Just one night. Then they could go back to their cat-and-mouse game. Right now though, the man snuggled up against him and snoring softly was warm and comfortable, they were in a small, secluded motel, and no one would know.
Just for tonight.

this is a shitty fic i accidentally wrote and kat hates it so i guess ill post it.  i put no effort into it for kat and im not going to for anyone else
imagine you’re a low-level thief in the city, getting by mostly by sticking together with other young, inexperienced thieves.  there’s a few of you, and you’ve managed to create a makeshift hideout in an abandoned building; a safe place where someone’s always up to watch your back.
you’re hanging out with your friends after one of you got a decent mark, drinking the booze you havent been able to afford for a while.
the conversation shifts to the big-name gangs in the area.  generally you try to keep your head down around their territory, but you always hoped you’d get a job and work your way into one.
“i’m tellin’ you, he’s got a crew of monsters and he eats people.”
“bullshit” you snap
“ no no, really, i went to his bar once and he was there; his fucking teeth were sharp.  like an animal’s or somethin’.”
you roll your eyes and take a sip of your drink  “either you were too wasted to see straight or it’s some cosmetic shit to trick idiots like you.”
“are you not scared of him, then?”
you pause.  “i mean….”
“ it’s all a bluff, right?  a lot of bark and no bite, right?”
the alcohol was making your argument skills a bit hazy  “fuck off”
“i knew it, you are scared.  goddamn, no one’s gonna hire you at this rate”
“I’m not scared”
“prove it”
“the fuck do you want me to do?”
You ran.  It wasn’t like anyone was around to see you, or the panic on your face.  you couldn’t have asked for an easier target; the bar was empty during the middle of the day, and the windows weren’t even locked; still, the trinkets and cash stuffed in your pockets seemed like they were a screaming alarm.  the trip back to the hideout never felt so long.
the money the local fence gave you for the jewelry was secondary to the look on everyone’s face when you came back, alive and successful after stealing from Greed.  for a few days, you even got to enjoy your newfound respect.
Then the front door slams open
everyone seems to freeze at once as greed’s crew slinks into the room, eyeing up the hopelessly inexperienced group and moving to block off any escape routes.  greed himself stands in the doorway, waiting patiently until his employees find their places around the room.
there was no question of who he was; even if you had never met him, wanted posters around town ensured everyone was familiar with Greed.
greed walked to the center of the room, smiling a bit, hands in his pockets.
“So who was it?”  he asked, voice echoing in the silent room
no one moved.   your heart slammed.
“Now, come on.”  he said, beginning to stroll easily around the now motionless crowd. he pulled his hand from his pocket, letting a gold chain with a distinctive pendant dangle from his fingertips.
“Does this look familiar to anyone?”
You tremble a bit, looking away from him, afraid of meeting his gaze.  of course it looked familiar to you; you sold it to the local fence two days ago.
“I know it came from here; the pawn clerk knows your runner.”
the hideout had never felt more quiet.  your blood ran cold, wishing you could just sink into the floor.  you all had to stick together, right?
“I think I have a job opening, if only someone would speak up…” he said, the amusement clear in his voice.  this was fun for him.
silence.
“RIGHT HERE”
you didn’t even get a chance to look up at who just called you out.
Something slammed into you, faster than you thought a human could move, bringing you instantly to the floor and wrenching your arm backwards.  the realization that it was one of Greed’s henchmen came to you, far too late to be useful.
There’ wasn’t a lot you could do besides beg as Greed took his time crossing the floor toward you.  Your head was bent up painfully to watch his approach, and you could barely hear yourself speak.
“Listen-listen I swear I swear it wasn’t me  I dont know what- I-I would never, never try and take s-something I don’t even know where you- listen pleasepleaseplease-”
He crouched in front of you, not reacting to anything you were saying, smiling gently at you in a way that was more frightening than anger.
He reached out, pressing a fingertip to your babbling mouth and silencing you instantly.
“shhhh, sweetheart.  We all knew it was you the second we walked in.  Your scent was all over the bar.”  he hummed.  he looked at you from over the top of his sunglasses.  inhuman slitted pupils bore into you, making your breath shake.
“Shame for you, it didn’t take much for your friends to rat you out, did it?” He murmured, turning his head to the hopeful snitch. “sorry kid, I never said I had a job for a traitor.”
He looked back to you, still held painfully on the floor.  “no, I need something nice and loyal for this.”  Someone’s hand took a fistful of your hair, wrenching your head back further.
you heard metal jingling.  you braced yourself for the slit throat that was about to come, squeezing your eyes shut.
you jumped when a band wrapped around your neck.  the collar was already fastened and locked by the time you opened your eyes.
he looped his fingers under the leather, jerking you to your feet the second you were released from the immobilizing hold.
“come”
