They're off to see the wizard! The wonderful wizard of Oz!!

I actually started this last month and then got burnt out and didn't finish it until now but whatever I FINISHED IT!! I finished watching Scooby Doo and Guess Who last month and there's a Wizard of Oz parody in the last episode and I just knew I had to do fanart, a legal requirement if you will.

I kept Shaggy, Fred and Velma's costumes from the episode the same but I thought Daphne and Scooby deserved costumes that were a bit more personal too. But who would the wizard in question be?? Well don't worry because I drew art for that too!!

I just can't stop thinking about a proper direct to DVD scooby WOZ parody film and how Van Ghoul should be the wizard, like in my head it's perfect.

AYYYY you caught that! I'm so glad someone did lol.

I had to go hunt down what I already posted about the Mimic Steve AU lmao

It's honestly easier to read the first part here , but basically, it's an AU that centers around how the Steve we know isn't actually Steve Harrington; he's a replacement that his parents bought and paid Brenner/The Lab for.

What he actually is, is a being similar to humans with mimic-like abilities from another dimension. They kidnapped him at a young age and then later tortured him into being Steve when the real one passed away from cancer as a child.

There's a vast number of problems happening when the story starts but the biggest is that Robin and Nancy have accidentally discovered that the real Steve Harrington is dead and the house Steve lives in doesn't actually belong to the Harrington's.

In a panic-ridden attempt to prevent them from discovering he's a monster from an alternate dimension whose stuck, Steve taps Eddie for help on grounds that he has romantic feelings for Eddie and already thinks he doesn't deserve to be loved in return. I he loses Eddie as a friend over this then well-- chances were that was gonna happen anyways because he sucks at hiding that he's in love--but he can't lose Robin.

In his head, that means Robin can't learn that he's not human

Snippet:

“Sweetheart, you are Steve.”

He frantically shook his head. “No, I’m not. I’m a copy of Steve, one they forced so hard that it--it overwrote the real me. I don’t know who I actually am, Eddie.”

Besides a fucking monster, from somewhere else.

(At his lowest, in the dark of the house in the middle of the night, Steve turned himself back into his base form.

The thing he was--or at least thought he was--before he’d been kidnapped.

Stared at himself in the mirror and felt only terror, because he didn’t recognize himself. )

Eddie stepped up, gently took one of Steve’s hands.

Threaded their fingers together.

“Okay.” He said, eyes searching Steve’s own. “What can I do to help you find yourself?”

Steve stared back.

“I haven’t--I never…” He trailed off faintly, all thoughts of who he had been and who he was impersonating vanishing in the face of his reality.

That Steve’s life had been so preoccupied with keeping himself safe by living within a lie, he never actually spent any time trying to figure out who he was.

Eddie seemed to realize this, and nodded once as if Steve’s expression was an answer in and of itself. “It’s okay. I mean it. It’s a big thing, and it’ll take you some time, but I’ll be there with you if you want me to be.”

Steve sniffed.

“Even if I turn into a car again?”

Eddie laughed softly. ‘Yeah Sunlight. Even if you scare the shit out of me by turning into a car again.”

“They’re emergency purposes only.” Steve said--and he meant it.

(The fear of getting stuck as something non-human had terrified him so badly the car incident had left him puking up his guts for two days after, nerves shot.)

“Now about changing into that courthouse clerk…”

Helloooo popping in to say I love your art! It’s cute and feels soft (reminds me of when you’ve got a really smooth pencil and it just ghosts across the paper) but your poses and anatomy also give it a good feeling of realism :D

I really enjoy comics!! I like poking thru graphic novels and webcomics, so I've fallen into the habit of exposing myself to lots of different styles over time that I'm fairly explorative with my art. It gives me a lot to study, especially since different artists have different strengths and preferences

I also think of myself as a simple person, so I'm not strongly attached to anything in particular... I notice a lot of artists find their ground in certain interests or aesthetics. But since I'm not really like that, I try to put a bit of myself in whatever I draw to connect with my art better. Its probably why I like taking creative liberty when making fanart lol

im also drawn to indie creative work like games and animation! they tend to be extremely varied and unique from each other, which is great since I work from my own sense of curiosity. I also hate repetition, so having things that set themselves apart visually or otherwise is something I like to look for.

#thank u for sending this in!!! i had fun answering this.. i had to think really hard so im glad it helped me do some reflection ^_^#on top of all this im a very visual person so i look at things if theyre eyecatching and then see if i like it for any of these qualities #afterwards.. so i do tend to lean to cutesy styles like soft shapes and big eyes but i wouldnt go as far as making it a calling card for my #art style since i love to keep shaking things up whenever i can. if that makes sense? or u could say im impulsive and u would be right #i rly like gigi dg and plushpon since theyve been a huge inspiration for my art over time.. as for comics i remember being really into #always raining here and colorless... its been a while since ive looked at any webcomics though so maybe i should make time to do that #BONE was one of my favorites as a kid because of the storytelling and art style even if i could never read the books in order #although im also really picky so even if i dont have a set taste there are some things i dont really find interesting like superhero comics #i do wish i had an interest that i could pour my art into instead of just drawing whatever on a whim #i think nature comes pretty close but thats more of an appreciation than smth like. birdwatching or camping or animals #so rather than wanting my art to be known for a certain thing i think ill try and be happy with drawing things i know i like and people #liking whatever that might be. shrugs #yapping #ask

#this dice collection is so pretty but i’m giving most of it to my friends…#ive been playing dnd or pathfinder with this group for literal years and i’ve like spent so much time with them LOL #and i’m finally seeing some of them this summer #so this is the gift. i still have to get a set for the dm but like i think i’ve already spent ~200 on the dice here so im like oh my god #but im like fuck it lmao they have given me so much happiness lol 😭#also since im already typing i was listening to one of the celebs from my hometown and sometimes it hits me how strange it is #tht i am vaguely interested in this man even though i literally like saw him for 5 seconds #he is like so incredibly famous #i know like 90% of people experience this but it does annoy me so much that i treat famous ppl diff in my brain differently even tho ik #they just want to be treated like normal people lmao 😭#i think its bc my brain goes ‘oh theyre so loved i wish that were me!’ even tho theyre not really experiencing love #w the masses of ppl online #i have a headache from all the plum wine i drank but plum wine is soooo tasty guys #idk what they put in it #probably plum but wow it is so good. lol 😭#i think i will let this headache go away for a little and then go to bed. gn everyone 🐈🐈

God. Okay. Makes 100% sense now why Adams changed Jai's powers.

He made Jai the demolitions expert. And started hyping up Jai's new obsession with spy stuff. And had Jay do stealth missions. And has him writing mission logs during recess.

Adams 100% is making Jai the 'spy kid' of this new team.

Adams is hyping Maxine's magic because she's the magic kid. Irey is the speedster. Jai is the spy kid. Bobby is the super strong invulnerable powerhouse. Cerdian is the Atlantean.

Now the question is: does editorial let him add Lian as the archer? Does editorial let him add Mar'i as the alien? Or does he have to get one of the Kent kids for the alien spot?

Can he add Tai as their energy construct kid????
