ok first of all? no slenderman in this universe. its my au and i get to make my blorbos (somewhat) happy BUT the operator is still one of tims hallucinations that hes been having since he was a kid. tim writes songs to cope with his mental illness, he's done this his whole life but hes never shared any of them w anyone. skip to film school (maybe i should change their major to be music so it makes more sense that theyre all into it? unsure. anyways). alex has been looking to start a band but hasnt been putting a lot of effort into people searching cause hes focused on school. and one night — maybe on a dare, maybe because he's had a couple of drinks —  tim performs a song about the operator. everyones taken aback cause they didnt know the guy very well but they really like the song. alex goes woah ive been looking to start a band actually?? and kind of drags along everyone in the room to a first rehearsal it goes surprisingly well, everyone clicks and the music sounds great. since theyre all living in dorms and using the practice studio on campus theyre able to get together usually a few times a week, and they hang out outside of it too. they become really close friends. most of the songs are still tims old material but they write stuff together too. brian has some killer ideas and eventually they end up with enough material that matches in vibes to release their first album: "To The Ark". its a massive project, 38 songs.. YEAH THATS RIGHT each one is named after a totheark video. it also makes sense because tim 'wrote' a lot of them and brian the others. im a genius tell me im a genius. also maybe clips from it are the music videos for the songs? or clips from mh too i like the idea of that. idk its released in three parts (for the three seasons) and "Operator" (THE SONG TIM PLAYED FOR THEM FIRST BTW) becomes a radio hit out of nowhere. by this time theyre reaching graduation so its time to discuss the future of the band!! theres a big scene where theyre each thinking abt what they want for the future but they end up deciding they want to keep it together and see where it leads them :) so they go on tour together and are super successful and umm happily ever after. thats as far as ive thought LOL also theyre all gay and trans just like in canon <3/hj. so maybe theres love triangle stuff?? but i dont really have any fav pairing in this scenario since the dynamics are different.. idk give me ideas pleas. and if anyone drew them i would piss myself and cry OH ALSO I FORGOT TO MENTION all the alter ego things are like stage personas in this. i think thats probably apparent in the first image but yeah. they go on stage and introduce themselves as that and wear the masks for performances. idk why alex and jessica go without one maybe ill design them masks too but that feels weird

MONICA!!!!!! The concert was so good!!!! 😭😭😭 I’m assuming you’re ok with spoilers so here goes 😬

The first half of the show was them playing and recreating the key scenes and singing in them which I thought would trigger me tbh but instead I think it did me good to see the scenes I loved again 🥹 and Jimmy, Mark and Sea were so freaking good they cried in some scenes and I cried seeing them cry and it was so emotional again!!! I really wanna go back and rewatch all the good parts now, it’s still 80% a really good series!!

And they did Blame the Stars together!!! And you saw they did the “can I have my shirt back” scene!!! 😵🫠

(They played the breakup scene but not the reconciliation, it kinda just skipped to “happy ending” and I’m actually glad that we don’t have to rehash all of that)

They did full group songs and unit songs and what got to me was that MarkNamtan and OhmFilm did songs but so did NamtanFilm and MarkOhm!!! The NamtanFilm song was 😙👌

They did a whole Vice Versa medley!!! They did it for me!!! 😄 I was so happy and excited to see it!!! I hope that gets more of the newer fans to go watch it!!!

ngl reading this and seeing all the clips on twitter is making me want to buy the ticket for the rerun so badly like i always knew it was gonna be great and that everyone was gonna give their all but damn. the concert actually felt so well organized and thought out, i love that they basically turned the show into a musical and gave space for all kind of performances and pairings!!!!!! i've always wanted a duet version of blame the stars and im so happy they finally gave it to us!!!!!! and seeing namtanfilm and markohm slow dance alongside jimmysea was such a blessing THEY TRULY SAID THERE AIN'T NO STRAIGHT PEOPLE LEFT IN THIS SHOW

i really wasn't expecting it, but tbh i feel the same way as you. i think this did me good. maybe im just saying this because i haven't seen any videos of the break up scene so i can just keep pretending it never happened, but the parts i did see are kind of healing the hurt i've been feeling over the last three episodes of the show and bringing back all the love and excitement i used to have for morkday

One thing I noticed whenever he filmed 2 kids room with another member, most of the time (if not always) he sat really close to them to the point their legs touched. He even laid on innie's lap throughout the whole episode.

Yk whenever those post about which members you wouldn't date, my first mind would always come to him. Don't get me wrong, it's just... he's too precious. I'm afraid I would hurt him. Or wouldn't be able to fulfill his expectations about love and relationship.

I had a LONG call with friends last night about writing and inspirations! So today I was thinking about sharing some of the media that's inspired my comic in some way.

Rocket Chip isn't necessarily something I'd write FOR kids, but it's not an adult series either. I guess it's something im retroactively writing for my kid self if that makes sense? It's meant to have the feeling of a simple kid's story even when it's dealing with heavier emotions, because that's honestly how I like it best! Even now with my much wider grasp of film and media as an art form, there's something about old cartoons that can Really capture this specific weird lonely tone that just sticks in your head.. Something about the inherent uncanny feeling that animation has, maybe?

Anyway:

Chip was named after this character! This clip was meant to teach kids about personal computers in the 80's when they were BRAND NEW as a concept. And it was never officially distributed until the 2000's.

I think some AI enthusiasts could stand to watch this actually. But entirely from a narrative perspective, this song has an oddly eerie tone, doesn't it? Mostly because of this computer character's voice actor and the music. The more he insists that he can't feel pain or emotions, the more tension the music builds up! The more emotion he seems to have in his voice!! And then brings it all back down so simply. It's a really interesting little short.

The Brave Little Toaster Goes to Mars is a fever dream of a movie and frankly the whole thing has that slightly unsettling lonely mood to it that I was talking about. Helped by the fact that the book series it was based on is pretty dark in its own right. Both the books and movies are themed around household objects facing the fact that they're disposable. Planned obsolescence and all that, though this movie doesn't exactly have anything profound to say about it, it's just kinda brought up.

BUT this was always my favorite part as a kid. They're just a buncha happy balloons! Floating in space! Forever! They were made to bring you a moment of happiness and then there they go. As a kid I definitely didn't understand the woodstock references, so I'd assumed the purple balloon was talking about the balloons themselves when he said "We feel you can't relive a one-time thing".

Y'know, with how fixated I was on concepts like this, it's surprising in retrospect that I never really cared about the toy story movies very much. huh.. anyway

UNICO in the Island of Magic is a beautiful movie that I highly recommend watching if you haven't. It's my favorite Tezuka property by far. It reminds me a lot of "The Last Unicorn" in how morose it feels. Unico is a creature that was born with the power to make everyone happy, but is hated for it. Every time he makes a friend he's taken away to a new place and his memories are erased. Unico is presumably doomed to this cycle for his entire life and there's no resolution in sight. It's TERRIBLY DEPRESSING and yet there's still hope in it somehow. Unico still pushes himself to help even the most broken of people because he knows happiness and friendship are what he's meant to bring to the world. But it's something he can never have for himself.

It's done in a cheesy friendship speech way of course, but it's still impactful.

This clip of the ending always gets me. Though id recommend you watch the whole movie for the context, if you don't care or have already seen it, this is my favorite part.

im super excited about rina with everything that’s been shared and im cant wait for 3x03 because horror themes in teen dramas are my favorite things!!! tims interview made me really happy too because he talks a lot about ricky and ginas individual journey this season about how ricky lets go of relationships and past ideas about himself on the first episode and gina is having her romcom era! this season just seams like is going to be enjoyable!

I was happy when I read about Ricky’s arc and song the first episode because this is exactly what I’ve been saying it’s important for him to reach in order to move on to better relationships. I’ve said before, Ricky was trying so hard to maintain his relationship with Nini because it was safe and familiar, he was holding onto his past. He realized that not only it wasn’t working but he didn’t like the person he was becoming. Ricky ended season 2 accepting change is inevitable and was also starting to be happy with that so Ricky entering season 3 letting go of everything that used to hold him back it’s so amazing and I can’t wait to see a more mature and happier version of him. I can’t wait to hear the solo Ricky sings about that.

Gina having her IT girl season and truly being the center and having her own plots and solo songs and just overall having her own romcom moments full of (and I quote Tim) "cute boys" around her. It’s what she deserves! That new clip of Gina feeling like Gina 1.0 is making me so happy after season 2 being very angsty for her. I’m ready for Gina to chase after what she wants after a season where she put herself in the back burner for other people instated of her.

AND, I can’t wait for episode 3 because Ricky and Gina lost in the woods + spooky themes?! That’s what dreams are made of. A very well known Rina reviewer said the episode was adorable and I can’t wait to watch it myself. This season feels promising.

i missed jk's live and im catching up to him seeing love letters... im 😭🥺💜 the way he said his heart is full and cried.. do u know this is how u make us feel everyday? 🥺 god i fucking love him. i want him and the members to be happy always

i missed it too, i decided to sleep through it (however i did sneak a peak about an hour in just to see him before going back to sleep lol), but seeing the clips of him watching that video, he's just so sweet gosh. what an unbearably gentle person, he is. i think i saw a translation of him saying his heart feels so full and asking if that's how we feel whenever bts release fan songs and it made me laugh because i remember my chest feeling SO full when take two came out and all he had to say when he posted about it on weverse was something along the lines of "when did i record that?" lmaooo. it's so funny seeing the tables turned now. how something can feel one way to them, but even more to us, or vice versa. i'm happy he saw the song and it moved him to tears, that's such a beautiful moment to share with your fans. he's a keeper for life y'all he's ours

her name is chari (pronouned like cherry)

she's very shy and she opened the shop to be somewhere people can hang out, make friends, and feel like they can be themselves, however Chari didn't trust herself to convey the welcoming positive energy that she wanted, nor handle talking to visitors, so she built a robot to help her: this robot is casette!

cassettes purpose is to keep up the welcoming positive aura of the shop and assist visitors, this includes her gigantic database on information related to varius media as well as fandom culture, they can find anything at the shop in seconds, recomend visitors new games/anime/etc, and her database is updated frequently, she also has a visitor database, where she can store information on everyone's preferences and behaviors, their very much a learning ai, so essentially Cassette's experiences will build onto his personality as well as knowledge, Cassette's base personality was developed by picking traits that would be required for her job (passionate, friendly, optimistic etc) than having like, a pool of other traits that are common for the shops target audiences to have and randomizing some to be selected as part of his base personality

bassically the story is just slice of life focused on fandom culture, i guess like overcoming shyness/social anxiety?? like making friends and surronding yourself in a positive and healthy enviorment, with cassette learning more from their expieriances helping visitors and evvuentually kinda helping for chari to build up her confidence, (which was outside of cassettes initial purpose)

and the shop exists in this weird dimension so visitors come from many different worlds and planets,

i dont know what id call it yet but itd be in comic format with a manga inspired art style~

soo... first race and we're starting with a good fun fact... uh. i didn't watch this race live! or at all until i started this series!! i only got into f1 starting from australia 23, so this is a weird first post to start on, but - i do remember some tiny snippets. and just some general context about my life at that point, to hopefully make people understand WHY f1 was such a blessing to me and why it means the world to me 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

SO.. i was recovering from an 34ting disorder in early 2023, a devestating one at that that left me unable to even attend uni and be out of bed for more than 2 hours a day. it was, as you can imagine, really really awful. especially because i had NOTHING else to focus on 😨😨 i won't go into much detail as promised but my mind wasn't a very happy or forgiving place AND all my hyperfixations had ran out of juice 🍹🍹🍹 how this correlates with f1 will become much clearer in later posts (starting from australia) but it's... let's just say that f1 really helped me to get out of a dark, evil place 🥰🥹🥹🥹

i HAD been a max fan of course, because i am 🇳🇱🇳🇱🇳🇱 and because i saw him win ad21 live (yeah that somehow didnt turn me into a big f1 fan idk either man im mad at that myself...)🥹 but its fine i at least jumped into it this beautiful year

I hate that swifties just turned against Joe without any actual evidence and when the pictures of him looking rough came out, they were celebrating and going after his looks (like they are doing with Matty) and it made me want to punch them (not literally) and I'm not part of the fandom at all, it simply was trending on twitter and checked what happened. And now recently they've been putting Matty against Joe and while the majority is hyping Joe up again simply because they hate Matty, the ones who prefer Matty instead also get on my nerves because they are like "he's problematic but at least he displays affection publicly" and the reason why that upsets me so much is because everyone likes really shy introverts when they need someone they can trust but then suddenly we're "cold" and "too reserved" and "should change" the minute we're no longer useful and seeing those tweets just makes me so fucking sad because I am so quiet in public and I really don't do the whole PDA thing but my heart is feeling with love for the people I'm close with and I sympathize with how Joe must be feeling. There was a video going around of Joe at her show and you can see the heart eyes filled with emotion but you can also see that he's so shy and anxious about being in public.

And people being like "she deserves more" has broken my heart. it just triggered something in me. Everyone who's just a little bit like Joe knows the feeling of dating an extrovert or simply someone with a lot of friends and trying so hard to overcome our limitations and still seeing our efforts being ignored. And then people acting like Taylor did him a huge favor for dating him because in their heads "no way she'd be truly happy with someone like that"... We're not all bad, we've got our flaws but we deserve love too and we've got a lot of love to give... (sorry this is more like a personal rant)
