7 (If your OC had to cosplay as a fictional character, who would they choose) for Magnetophone!

No idea how 'fictional' this question is meaning (i.e. fictional character in GENERAL or fictional character to them....?!) but I guess I'll go with fictional (to them) characters cos theres a couple.

The first one, and he's probably done this before to be honest, is Fortune 500, who looks like this (designed by @/dr9com9ge-ix):

He's this pretty universally-known tailmic "show host" of a show also called Fortune 500 which is mainly a comedy show but to the tune of that one "its illegal to say" skit you know? anyway it's popular with people like Maggie so of course Maggie would cosplay it. Maybe I'll come back and like draw it or something if I can figure out what the REST OF THE OUTFIT WOULD LOOK LIKE... beyond a mask

there's the second one, the half made-up "Sun God" (half in the way that, in the source material, there IS a sun god called the sun god, but the one that people talk about is this one they made up to make fun of the religious fanatic... fans. Of this other god-related TV show. I could explain more but it's like... off-topic? for this? I think?). not that I've got any cool PROPER images or anything I just wanted to say that

I got an email from Alice’s Collections today that dollbei jun has shipped!! :D

Which means i really need to figure out a) am i going to dye him or just airbrush and cross my fingers it doesn’t chip too badly (i don’t really tend to play with my dolls but do want to get a better camera to take more pictures) and b) finish sketching the outfit pieces i’ll need and make some mock-ups so i can test the fit when he gets here to make the final ones-which may involve being extra and trying to use the embroidery function on my machine, c) finishing some eyes (it’s been raining a lot lately and i’ve been sick for over a week now so i haven’t done that but that feels like the easier task atm), and d) place an order for boots, possibly accessories, stands, and maybe a basic wig or wig making supplies. I hate making wigs but i also may want to be weirdly picky with the hair color. i’m not sure xD

when i reached into the pile of curtain rods at IKEA i inadvertently picked the one with a missing part. i've literally never been madder in my life. i am going to eat the sun.

#the things is i need the curtain rod #to put up a curtain in my bedroom #bc the apartment across the alley is being renovated and workers can see into my bedroom and i'll have a neighbour soon who can as well #you've lived here two years tho why do you only need curtains now #well i have blinds on that window but my cat eats the strings on them when they're closed and accessible #no not the pull cord the actual strings that hold each individual blind together #and don't ask me to just close the bedroom door at night it's more complicated than that #and i talked to ikea customer service and they said go back to the store and return it #i'm sorry go BACK to ikea #when i was just AT ikea?#i was at ikea and now i have to go again?#are you kidding me #death by 2.99 curtain rod

Whats cosmodex? Saw your art and I want to know more about it

Ooooook so the Cosmosdex is this site ( https://cosmosdex.com ) which as a WHOLE is a "fictional space themed encyclopaedia by the same name that contains pages upon pages of lore, aliens, planets, and just about anything you could ever want to know about this expansive universe." (from the site) and it's true! there's ~300 species alone in the cosmosdex, & they're all completely open. Plus there's like... these things called eyegrets... which are THE best fauna. Btw. look at ONE amazing. one. i could talk about these animals all day i tell you

+ though if you wanna know MORE about the universe itself there's a webcomic on there, Fortuna, which serves as a pretty good introduction to the lore +some good simpler entries: -aftik -arma -kuppas there's also notails but notails have a whole lore section so it can seem a bit overwhelming? they're not THAT complicated though

anyway everything I post about in relation to Cosmosdex is related to my OWN little sub-universe Get To Heaven. In super duper short it's a universe where everything is.........horrible and everyone is based on a song :-) Something something capitalism something something.......listen to GET TO HEAVEN (ALBUM) BY EVERYTHING EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OK!!!!!!!!! and the rest of everything everything. while you are at it.

I went to Target before 8am this morning because a favorite thing of mine is to pick out discounted gift wrap and silly little holiday things. And it was not fun at all. The crowds weren’t bad but there wasn’t anything very fun. The whole town is out of Brie “we’re supposed to get some more tomorrow”. I had a tiny heart attack at the total the clerk told me. I paid and then went to a quiet place to study the receipt. I picked up three little Pokémon toys from a stocking stuffer 50% off display and they were not on sale. I explained to customer service what happened and that I wanted to return them immediately. They handed back over $25, more than half of my frivolous fund.

Our ikea order of gay dinosaurs arrived. The cousinbabies will get them at the end of the week probably. Don’t tell

I made some calls. I started sobbing when I was trying to tell a friend of my mom’s from over 40 years ago that mom had died.

Ohbrother: I thought today was going to be an ordinary day. I was going to buy paper for the label maker mom got me for Christmas.

Me: I bought toothpaste and coffee creamer

Ohbrother: such mundane things.

I just ordered some purple wrapping paper and a Skeletor ornament online.

8: what happens if one of them gets sick?

Nace is a natural caretaker so he'd be running back and forth doing whatever it takes to make Jan feel better. He'll cook soup, take Jan's temperature and stay with him until he falls asleep.

Jan himself isn't used to having to take care of other people but if Nace is sick, he'll make sure that his boyfriend doesn't try to do everything himself. He'll keep Nace stuck in bed by immobilizing him with blankets (+Igor and Ollie) and take care of whatever errands Nace was supposed to do that day

11: do they try to hide their emotions if upset?

I do think that would be a bit of a struggle, at least in the beginning of the relationship. Jan already isn't the type of person to open up easily while Nace struggles with feeling safe enough to be vulnerable. They're very considerate of each other tho and they don't pressure the other into talking about their feelings if it's too soon

12: do they have many heated arguments? How do they smooth things over?

This is a lill spoilery because there will be a chapter containing an argument and I don't wanna spoil their way of handling it yet haha But in general, no. Jan is extremely careful not to escalate arguments into fights and Nace is conflict avoidant so a huge fight is unlikely to occur

15: do they always say I love you before leaving?

They're the type of couple to use love confessions more sparingly so I don't see them saying it every time before leaving. Actions are a more meaningful way of showing love to both of them than words anyways

17: who's more likely to pull the other in by the waist and kiss them passionately?

Neither are very likely to do this as they enjoy casual intimacy and don't do big dramatic acts of affection. But I can see Nace picking Jan up in an enthusiastic bear hug and giving him a lill kiss <3

20: choose one song that perfectly describes their relationship

Nace <3 Jan finds it difficult to take care of himself sometimes so it wouldn't be uncommon for him to go to bed on an empty stomach only for Nace to make him some food once he's awoken by Jan's stomach growling

41: which one would take off their jacket and drape it over the other's shoulders?

Jan has the tendency to assume that he'll be fine wearing just a leather jacket instead of a coat lol. Nace will always share his scarf and jacket with him <3

44: who would dance in the kitchen making dinner?

I think they'd dance together :D Cooking is supposed to be kind of a silly relaxing moment for them so if a good tune comes on they'll each do their own groovy moves lol

51: what's a non verbal way they say I love you?

Jan comes to visit Nace at work often to give him kind of a break from an occasionally stressful day which allows Nace to snap out of customer service mode if only for a few minutes. Also he'll take small plain snacks with him in his pocket whenever they go out in case it's hard to find some place to eat

Nace is already very attentive in their day to day life, but if Jan is struggling through a depressive episode, he's got his full attention on his boyfriend. He'll wash Jan's hair when he can't find the energy to do it himself and he'll motivate Jan to go outside at least a few minutes a day. He'll just show Jan even more love than usual and reassures him that he'll stick around even when Jan isn't doing too good mentally

55: do they like watching clouds or star gazing?

They're more into cloud watching <3 They'd definitely point out weird cloud shapes to each other haha

60: who pulls the other closer when they're sleeping?

Jan finds Nace to be super cuddly so he often can't resist just squeezing his big teddy bear against his body. Nace tends to get overheated easily at night tho so the squishing might be met with a dissatisfied whine 😅

the ikea customer service hold music is highly beautiful, majorly recommend to call them and listen if you have some issue with your ikea product (this lamp keeps turning off...) it's the second best ever customer service hold music i have heard. number one i think is my old doctor's hold music from a couple years back which sounded like star control 2 music
