“I wrote a good omelet…and ate a hot poem… after loving you Buttoned my car…and drove my coat home…in the rain… after loving you I goed on red…and stopped on green…floating somewhere in between… being here and being there… after loving you I rolled my bed…turned down my hair…slightly confused but…I don’t care… Laid out my teeth…and gargled my gown…then I stood …and laid me down… To sleep… after loving you”
— nikki giovanni, i wrote a good omelet. (via black-poetry)
Fafner got her dinner a little early and rolled on a worm (one of her favorite activities) while I secured some things in the yard and now she is safely hunkered under my bed as the big storm starts to roll in.
It is so cold and rainy today. I tried to power through as I am excited about my crops and the plans for the Murbleage but I also need to be rested for the days ahead. If someone could hand the pile of blankets in my room a big mug of hot tea that’d be great.
We got our paver delivery early this morning and even got our groceries picked up before 10. My supervisor is tuckered. The delivery was absolutely blessed by the universe. He had everything unloaded right by where I will be working to save me from having to carry things too far and had the truck off the road four minutes before the garbage trucks started collecting on our street.
when someone asks if you trot with the classics. by the way most of these titles are included in POUNDED BY THE CLASSICS and THE LESBIAN CLASSICS GET ME OFF
I went to a ~gardening mixer~ where I could talk to project leads and figure out where I can do my volunteer hours. Here is a picture of a miniature version of the greenhouse I will be watering at through May. And here is a picture of an elderberry cheesecake parfait. Even the bee is edible.
