Since I saw a random little post on Reddit talking about this (reddit is a place of horrors, I know)

I think jerboa III/boa should have been punished for destroying animus magic. Not in the same way that Darkstalker was as that would just be a repeat of what had already caused her actions (also I don’t think Darkstalker deserved to have his memories wiped either) but I feel that she should have gotten an appropriate punishment for it.

people love to talk about invincible for it's over the top gore and violence, but i really do think the show's writing is at it's best when it's just two people have a conversation

So Sampo is canon described as the only person who can travel between the overworld and underground, but it's never actually revealed HOW he gets around.

I'd like to believe part of the reason he's so secretive really is just because of business. One of the best ways to keep your customers is by being the only one to offer something, and Sampo stands to make a pretty nice profit if he's the only one able to smuggle in supplies. Gotta protect the trade routes ☆

BUT the other part is because he's probably one of the only ones that could SURVIVE it. I'd like to think a lot of his routes enter the overworld either in places like Backwater Pass, where it's technically in the city but is overrun by Fragmentum, or on the frontlines, where it's frigid cold and crawling with Silvermane Guards.

If someone manages to get all the way up, and even if they manage to sneak past all of the Guards/monsters and not freeze to death, there's still the possibility of getting caught in the city proper by regular civilians.

And if Cocolia heard word of someone caught in the overworld, I can't imagine there's any way she would just leave that, she separated the halves for a reason. This person would be interrogated, and then the route sealed off, and then the Undergrounders would lose a vital supply route. Sampo has to be extremely careful to not get caught and not be tailed.

And I'm sure he does a lot of shady trading in Belobog proper, but I think a lot of it also comes from him looting the Fragmentum-corroded areas, too. After all, in the Cyrille the Fool quest line, when the trailblazer sees something strange in the Fragmentum, the first person they think to consult is Sampo.

So I love the thought of Sampo being like extremely disciplined and being able to be out there for like days at a time.

Looting is easier in the beginning, but eventually Sampo has to go farther and farther out for supplies. Sometimes he'll be out there for days, and it's not exactly a safe place to sleep, but he can stay awake and alert for absurd amounts of time if he needs to be. Going for 24+ hours isn't unusual for him on a big supply run; Sampo will be awake for a day or two, he'll bring back everything he finds to Natasha, then sleep for a solid 8-12 hours and be back up again. He takes a couple of low key days where he rests or does easy work, then he's ready to plunge into the fray again!

On the rare occasions he sleeps in the Fragmentum, it's not for very long, less than an hour, and Sampo has traps he sets all around him while he sleeps sitting up with daggers in hand. Caelus finds out about this habit the hard way because he gets restless and decides to go explore (I'd like to think with the Stellaron dwelling within him, he's largely immune to any kind of Fragmentum corrosion), and he sees Sampo curled up in a corner, head down. So of course he approaches to see if he's ok, and-

A trap pops and hisses

There's a bright flash of pink

Caelus blinks

His back hits the wooden wall behind him

There's the sound of reverberating metal-on-metal right next to his ear

Caelus blinks again

...and is shocked to suddenly find that Sampo is looming over him, pinning him to the wall, one dagger sunk into the wood and the other blocked by his metal bat.

And they both just stand there for a beat, until Sampo blinks the bleariness out of his unfocused eyes, and then he yawns obnoxiously right in Caelus' face and tells him he shouldn't interrupt people's beauty sleep! How is Sampo supposed to stay so handsome otherwise!?

Caelus only notices shortly thereafter that there's a thin line of blood on his neck, and he belatedly realizes that Sampo really would have taken his head off by pure instinct if he weren't also incredibly quick with his reflexes. No wonder he's the only undergrounder surviving out in the Fragmentum; anything that approaches in his sleep thinking they have easy prey is almost instantly demolished.

if sokka had had slightly more faith in jet during their mission to beat up and rob an old man he would’ve derailed their entire plan after jet made it clear that he has no idea what sokka was talking about when he said “it amplifies vibrations.” he would’ve descended into a longass tedious lecture about wave mechanics and jet would’ve returned to the treehouse with a migraine. but thankfully, because sokka already hated jet and thus simply assumed that jet was incapable of learning basic physics, when jet is like “good trick” sokka just rolls his eyes and goes “whatever.”

Not sure if this theory makes any sense at all but I'm starting to believe that there's no time skip between Wally's phone calls and what we see/hear in the show's Media/Merchandise. If we see the Toyland call being made before the Homewarming episode then it would make sense that Wally's expecting Barnaby to come over soon. As well as the Homewarming sketch from the prior update. (I don't know, still kind of brainstorming this perspective)

that theory Does make sense and i've been considering it! the "timeline" is such a nebulous thing right now because we still... don't really know! there are too many variables and too many Maybes for any solid answer.

maybe the reality that the neighbors live in exists outside of time like you say, and like half of me suspects. there's so much reality fuckery already present, but I'm also... unsure of how much merit this holds given what we know / can infer about how time passes in Home. i'm putting this theory on a low shelf to look at but not prioritize

maybe it really has been 50 years, and Barnaby is either still around / Wally is still in contact with him, or Barnaby... isn't there. who knows, maybe Wally was just verbalizing some Wishful Thinking. i mean, Wally is a bit of an unreliable narrator, isn't he? we can't assume that everything he says is entirely accurate or truthful. and i mean, if it's been 50 years it makes sense that Wally would be pushing for connection / to revive WH. who knows how long he's been trying.

Windy at my house + power flickering = no comm work = quick laptop doodle

Jet and Wave!!

Jet is as pretty charismatic guy and a lot of people around the school like him. People think he's so cool!! But he's also an idiot. He and Sonic have an odd dynamic where they're not exactly rivals but not really friends either. Jet thinks Sonic is cool and thinks they're friends. Jet gets under Sonic's skin a LOT, and Sonic is like "Ugh, he's so cool >:/"

Wave is ambiverted, and she'd usually rather have the company of her own thoughts and work over most people, but she can be social. She's the head of the robotics club, so Tails and her interact. Tails is the only middle schooler in the club, so Wave is more interested in how capable Tails is for his age (and she's surprised knowing he's actually younger than she thought! 11 instead of 13)

(There's a strong chance I might actually retcon all of this for story reasons, but if I do, they'll be pretty important to the end of the story, but only for an arc)

#sorry for being inactive!! ive been working on the 4th arc and the last 2-3 #and i want to post stuff chronologically!!! so i need to actually write the third arc 😒#WHICH I WILL START TRYING TO DO!!! motivation just stumped for a bit #Wave was one of my first gijinka designs. The way the entire latter half of 5x06 leaves zero room for doubt about how much these asshole vampires truly care for each other.

Nadja and Nandor are both ready to risk their lives for their family members.

Nadja in particular was intensely protective of Guillermo, the entire last half of their plot is about how much Nadja (and Nandor) CARES

From the moment the doctor says he'll have to perform more tests, Nadja starts to worry. She seeks Guillermo out to sneak out of the hospital before his "secret" is revealed. This has no bearing on her, its solely to protect Guillermo from a hypothetical/possible threat.

She outright claims him, (TWICE) "he's our familiar" and the "he's mine"

She searches desperately for him, she sounds SCARED while calling for him, and it's 100% fear for him, Nadja is not on the hook (yet), the doctor doesn't blame her for Guillermo's freakish half-transformation

Fighting off several workers, putting herself between Guillermo & danger--putting herself IN danger (she does not let up/fly herself out of harm's way when the doctor turns on her, she calls for Guillermo's help but never Once does she rescind her claim on him) and claiming Guillermo in every way she can.

I really do think her "he's mine" is a personal claim. Guillermo is Nandor's bodyguard, her family's shared familiar, and he's her's.

She does say Nandor deserves to kill him, but that excuse immediately falls flat when the doctor starts trying to kill her, and yet she keeps herself between him & Guillermo.

Wwdits really said these guys will do anything for each other. Nandor would undergo a painful (and dangerous) energy transfer to save Colin Robinson. Nadja would fight off several vampires in order to protect Guillermo.

Laszlo would keep Guillermo's secret (even from his lovely lady wife) & ask her to implicate herself with him, all for Guillermo & Nandor's sake

They love each other your honor 🥺
