hi nonnie, thank you for letting me know! since i’m leaving this blog & this platform for the foreseeable future i figured i might aswell get a few things off of my chest before i go. i apologise in advance for the vibes this post will probably bring, the discourse & the posts that will ofcourse follow, but i honestly i am not the first person to be targeted by this creator and i’m sure i won’t be the last considering the amount of creators that have been bullied off of this app by them.

first off i’ve had multiple blogs that would be considered bigger blogs such as @/hvnlydmn, @/atsymu + now this blog which is the biggest of all 3. i think there’s a sort of unspoken responsibility that comes with being a bigger blog which i know is no fun but it’s also because it can be super harmful on a site like this, when people weaponise their following.

on that note i’ll start this post by saying that i’ve known tee for probably around 3/4 years, maybe? we were mutuals on hvnlydmn & atsymu and we continued to talk on discord even when i was off of tumblr. i will honestly admit to this day i have never had a negative interaction with tee to my face and she was genuinely supportive of me during any discourse i was involved in. i am not some angel, i’ve had my fair share of crap on this app (of my own doing) but this post is not meant to come across like “oh she doesn’t like me so i’m calling her out” no. im sorry if this doesn’t line up with my brand and my ‘victim complex’ but i’m not gonna lie down and let someone on a power trip on a hobby app drag me through the mud.

first off i had began to get some off vibes from tee when i had started writing on garoujo, notably when i’d just hit my first milestone which was probably around 1k. during this i had decided to move my instagram theme from my main blog to my writing blog.

i’d noticed tee subposting (on main and on her personal blog which i followed at the time) about someone basically using the same theme as her, which after then clicking onto her blog i realised was an instagram theme. i didn’t think much of it, again me & tee were friends and she hadn’t came to me directly so ignored it. i was still a new blog and trying to solidly an aesthetic (before the beige lol) so i changed my theme / masterlists / layouts a lot.

a few more sub posts later i decided to message tee about it because with every thing i’d change / post on my blog, there always seemed to be another post. so i messaged her and got this response in: (i’ve blurred out my irl name btw) open up pics for convo!

so i let it slide, kept posting & that was that. probably a few days / a week later, tee had soft blocked me which then eventually led to me being hard blocked. i was upset ofcourse because i genuinely considered tee a good friend but i’ve always been a big advocate in controlling your space.

this was when, one of our mutuals in common (the first of many may i add) approached me on discord to say that just like now, i was being ripped to shreds on tee’s personal blog:

again i was notably upset about this because i was being accused of not only copying her theme but also her writing & masterlists, we did have a lot of mutuals in common so it was also upsetting knowing they would all be seeing these posts aswell. i allowed myself one sub post about “creating a narrative” because i was particularly frustrated but tee then also subposted about this, even though she had me blocked?

i would also like to say regarding our mutuals in common that this was not the first or last mutual to approach me regarding tee. i’ve had multiple people tell me that “they’re only mutuals with her because it would be more damaging not to be” “it’s easier to be on her side”. also i am not saying this is okay but i’ve had multiple of her current mutuals send me not only her posts, but screenshots of her private, personal instagram & also tell me about how all of them and their friends had a running joke / theory that tee made up her boyfriend (ex-boyfriend?) for attention.

regarding the accusations from tee i’d like to first comment on the instagram themes, again i had done an instagram theme on my main blog but it seemed to only be an issue when it was on my writing blog that was gaining traction. if the timing was off and it seemed like i copied her, i genuinely have nothing to say except it’s not the case— it’s instagram (which tee already admits she doesn’t own above) also the hanma writing? i’m still not 100% sure which drabbles she was referring to but i can only assume that 1. is when i posted a drabble about hanma fucking you outside of his subordinates house — this was a almost completely word by word rewrite of a suna drabble i done on my old blog @/atsymu i literally just changed the concept to fit tokyo revengers themes. i can post screenshots of this suna drabble also from my google docs dated February when i deactivated. the other one may have been some basic concept about him fucking you against the window.

she also mentions in the very first recent screenshot at the beginning of this post that i have apparently stolen concepts of fics / posts from her mutuals. what i want to say regarding this is, do you believe that i would have made it this far on stolen work? i don’t know any of the mutuals she’s referring to apart from 1 which i’ll get into. but every single accusation i’ve ever received has always come from someone associated or in contact with tee, she has always been at the root of it all but i have yet to receive a single anon or ask about me copying or taking inspiration from anyone’s work.

i know there was apparently a blog and an ex mutual of mine, who i had a lot of respect & time for who was under the impression i’d stolen their concept for this gojo fic. the whole premise of this fic is honestly not uncommon considering how many times people losing control of their techniques / powers / quirks during orgasm has been done in fanfiction. this concept was completely my own, i had originally posted shitposts about him losing control of his technique & also him putting you into a mating press / breeding before i’d decided to smoosh them together into a fic. we all read from the same workbook, we all have the same material to work off of — two people in a fanbase of THOUSANDS having a similar idea is not unheard of.

now onto the masterlist banners. the screenshot on the far left are the comparison photos that tee made herself— i’m sure you’ll be able to see them in better quality when she makes her own post about it; because obviously that’s going to come. first off i will say, i will admit i took inspiration from her official art masterlist banners — i thought hers looked good and i needed a masterlist so i used official art. fair game there although i only kept them for a few days before i changed again.

but onto the grey masterlist banners, i can honestly say i did not even know tee had this masterlist, also the only comparison i myself see is the colour. the only reason i chose grey was because i had started to use a grey / white overlay on my manga panels for my layout (as you can see far right), and as you know— i’ve always kept my colour scheme pretty consistent. on that note, regarding the actual layout of the masterlists— i’ve added screenshots from atsymu (that i could find due to it being deactivated) that shows the layout of my old masterlists, which was what i took inspiration from for my current. although the title font for each heading like headcanons is different, i had used the sort of old style, basic font that everyone uses before i had deactivated so it would match my fic headers i just don’t have photos obviously.

anyway on the back of this there was then discourse over me apparently copying tee’s kinktober masterlist, which again was not the case. but again due to tee’s following i had received multiple death threats into my asks the morning after i posted mine. as far as i was aware, the only similarities were the fact we both used gifs in our headers & the layout listing thirsts, hcs & fics (which is very common during kinktober but i admitted below i could see that similarity). unfortunately during all of this discourse was when ffflowers, my hate blog also came into the mix which then lead to tee reaching out to me in dm’s from her old blog.

the interaction between me & tee was pretty good, again she was nothing but nice to me directly despite the way she obviously spoke about me in private above. but as you can see below, tee herself told me that basically most of the similarities all made above were brushed off as basic. we spoke about the ig themes & i apologised, saying i could understand where she was coming from and that was that. i unblocked her & she unblocked me so i could reblog her post, it’s been that way since.

it is not my place to comment on other people’s experiences on this app but i would need more than 2 hands to list the amount of people that i’m sure have had similar if not worse experiences with tee. i know i have had multiple mutuals who have been bullied off of this platform & had their safe space ripped from them for little things such as: liking a character that this group selfship with, tee and her friends not liking their characterisation. they’ve even went as far as to go through other larger creators notes to check for minors so they can make excuses as to why they’re thriving.

i also know of a blog who was ‘blacklisted’ from tee & her mutuals as they self shipped with arataki itto at the time, one of tee’s friends also did, so they blacklisted this creator and had all of their mutuals block them for this which then in turn drove this creator off the app. there has been other notably bitchy things that i’ve heard but i have no receipts for therefore i don’t see any relevance in starting rumours.

i would also like to say i know plagiarism is a horrible thing, we have all been through it— myself included but it’s got to the point where being accused of copying tee has become a canon event. notably, bigger platforms have been ruined and driven off of this app for little things such as mdni dividers, similar colours schemes etc. and it’s the reason i’m also leaving.

i will say i have met some amazing people through my discourse with tee, notably people who have been in similar situations and i also apologise to any mutuals who we still have in common who are now sort of stuck inbetween. no hard feelings. although to tee: id be careful of the people you trust because it seems the loyalties they have to you are not as sincere as you may believe. you can also go to her personal & read the other things she was saying about me like how she was always so ? at how many people seemed to like me.

so that’s all i have to say, i’m sure dash will get a few responses from this but i’ll be logging out & turning off asks because honestly? couldnt care less. the only thing i’d change about my experience on this app would be i wish i’d blocked tee sooner.

I know you probably don’t want to dwell on the show and the negative but I absolutely hate what has happened on here and how hateful people are in the VC fandom it’s just very demoralizing and makes me want to retreat from anything besides the books completely. The discourse was spicy before the show but everything is just even more divisive now and it has sucked the fun out of it. Not really an ask more of a vent sorry

You’re correct that I don’t particularly find it fun to dwell on the negative stuff – as you said yourself, SOMETIMES THE DISCOURSE SUCKS THE FUN OUT OF IT. But I do understand how you feel and I want to say a couple things and I hope this helps you find a groove.

First of all, I did my best not to acknowledge it too much because I didn’t want to validate the folks who were being cunts to me lol, but please know that this fandom (at least on Tumblr) has ALWAYS been kinda fucking violent towards me LOL. I started VC tumbling back in 2016 and it’s ALWAYS been a fucking trash fire. It is hard out there for Marius stans lmfao.

Like, when I was first posting on Tumblr and acclimating to the Tumblr culture it was so much of like, me feeling brave enough to share meta only for someone to be RB’ing me to tell me I’m wrong, or me talking about how much I liked something about Marius only for someone to vague me, or it was me hosting the huge fandom Discord back in 2017 only for people to then come on tumblr and complain about how the Discord was way too Marius Friendly as if like, a drama-free space where we can discuss the books makes it a harbor for predators.

Of course I also had the gaggle of fucking morons who were constantly stalking me, catfishing their way into my servers to try to take screenshots and write call outs and cancel me, who would not stop preaching about how “all these big blogs” are “actually such terrible people” because “look at the things they ship” even when I’d never been unkind to them, even occasionally donated to their GFMs. These are folks who think they’re morally in the right for protecting the virtue of Armand’s poor teenage asshole and executed this justice by stalking and harassing an ACTUAL PERSON LOL. Like, listen. I’m sorry to burst ur bubble, but Armand doesn’t exist. He’s letters on a paper. I’m actually a real person and you’re up my fucking ass because I don’t’ even fucking know why, you’re jealous of my fucking Tumblr engagement or something? Which one of us is actually the creep here lol?? Is this a race to the bottom to be the valedictorian of clown school on the website for homeschooled clowns?

I’ve also had the pleasure of being on the receiving end of acephobic discourse, being told I don’t do enough to protect every individual in fandom from their own bullies as if it's my job to do that, being called ableist for how I wrote Daniel in my fics even though I was projecting and discussing my own personal experiences – I’ve also had a project collaborator have a tantrum and try to steal my work until I had to threaten with legal action, I’ve been put on block lists, I’ve had many people consume my fics in secret without actually leaving comments because I’m too toxic for them to communicate with in public.

BLAH BLAH BLAH.

This was all before AMC showed up LMFAO. It was not easy for me! It’s still not always easy!

And so yeah like, by nature of the fandom EXPLODING we are going to see more drama. More people is more drama. The nature of the discourse often hedges into real life issues that people are very opinionated and passionate about and there are conflicting needs inside the same space about how to hold conversations. Even just the other day I RB’d a joke about Anne Rice and OP got upset with me because they didn’t want actual fans interacting with it. Whoops! I didn’t know! I just thought it was funny. ;.;

Even in good faith and with the best of intentions we’re going to step on each other’s toes, and we’re gonna find people we don’t vibe with. And that’s normal and it’s fine.

What ISN’T normal is this inability to disengage that I think we see often in online space, and I don’t want to get into a whole side essay about all the reasons why I think that happens. But sometimes you gotta be the bigger person and take it on the chin.

Like, yeah, it sucks. It sucks the fun out of the room when you share a space with such bitter people who can’t be kind to each other. But like. THAT’S A THEM PROBLEM, YOU KNOW? And I think we gotta remember that sometimes people like that do it for the attention or the spike of dopamine when they can pick a fight and honestly like, you don’t need to waste YOUR OWN time on it, but you’re also doing that person a kindness if you don’t enable the bad behavior.

And it sucks that Tumblr’s mute tools are awful!!!!! It would make navigating so much easier to be able to curate the dash a little better and keep the bad actors out of your space. I sometimes just fuck off and don’t even come online for days if I know I’m not in a good headspace and won’t have the strength to just fucking ignore it, because sometimes drama catches my eye and I get nosy and go down the rabbit hole, too – having ADHD makes it really hard to avoid sometimes LOL – but like I try to be reasonable and love myself enough to avoid it when I can help it. I’m not willing to make my own problems everyone else’s problem, and I hope that some of these shit starters in fandom will get there, themselves.

So yeah it blows when the vibes are fucking atrocious, and it REALLY blows when it’s a fandom this small where you can’t avoid it. Even when it’s a vocal minority it really just kills the fucking mood.

BUT WHAT I WILL SAY.

Whenever I say shit like “write what you want to read” and we’re talking about fanfic, or even meta or even silly headcanon posts or jokes, that also means draw what you want to see, it also means make what you want to hold, apply it to any creation you can think of. Put the thing you want to see into the world. And it counts for fandom, too.

I don’t want to be part of a fandom that’s constantly infighting and attacking people, so I don’t fight and attack people. I don’t want to be called a predator for being a Marius fan and so I don’t engage in posts that say as much, not even to argue, because I don’t want my followers (who might also be Marius fans!) to have to see that on their dash. I want us to protect our peace and create a space we want to be in.

Like I have a policy that any time someone says I’m a freak or any time I see truly godawful word salad discourse, I go out of my way to post something kinky and offputting about Marius LMFAOOOO because I want to be surrounded by reasonable fun people who share my sensibility for fiction. AND SOMETIMES IT’S CRICKETS, AND SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO WORK HARD TO FIND YOUR PEOPLE. But at the end of the day I know I’m being my most sincere self and I’m trying to have a good time and just post fun things that I enjoy. And like, the book fandom is small as fuck and we’re all famished, but I think if more of us did that, we’d build a much more productive and tolerant space.

And for all the shit I’ve mentioned, all the drama and attacks and all the times people have harassed me or tried to make me feel small, you know what? I just got back from @apoptoses & @cup-of-lixx 's wedding and they met in VCblr! We spent all week with our VCblr friends! We all went to New Orleans together last Halloween !

When I used to work on ships it was like a fandom friend world tour! I had so many coffees in port with my vampire friends!

I’ve learned so much about writing from all the time I’ve spent here and the community of writer friends who supported me! There’s folks I met on VCblr that I talk to LITERALLY every day! They are such huge parts of my life and genuine life-long friends!!!!!!

Sometimes it seems like the ROI is garbage but like, so much of finding the joy is also learning to protect yourself from the negativity.

It IS out there. It DOES suck. And it’s lonely when you haven’t found your people yet. But fandom doesn’t have to be the 500 angry assholes arguing with each other about a fucking TV show, it can be your 3 besties in a private group chat having a great time.

Like I just drove @hekateinhell to the airport (met THROUGH TUMBLR!) and on the way back I was listening to an episode of Last Day and they were discussing the concept that “community is a life raft” and it hit me so hard man!!!!!!!!!!!

Find your people! Block the shit starters! Mute discourse buzzwords that you know are going to upset you!

is there any consistent characters? literally every opinion i see has someone in the comments like you’re crazy you’re wrong you don’t get it. don’t even want fandom interaction anymore but also i want to ask questions but also i don’t like being made to feel stupid and also i want to talk about things i like with people who like it too.

now i’m just ranting about how frustrated literally every fandom makes me but i mentioned dc since that’s where i am right now but come on can we not have separate opinions like every fandom is fictional why am i being yelled at for thinking differently if i didn’t even say you were wrong. let’s agree to disagree. god i hate this like i cannot learn anything cause everyone is so rude!!

the anger towards Amber Bennett makes no sense and i’m gonna tell you why

Most of the anger directed at Amber stems from misogynoir let’s break it down step by step.

The most used argument for hating Amber is that she’s an awful bitch for being upset with Mark because she knew he was a superhero. I’m gonna explain why this is stupid, so stay with me 🙏🏾 cause we’re actually gonna have to start before Mark

When Nolan met Debbie. These two have been together for decades and it’s explained very clearly why. From the start Debbie knew Nolan’s secret, not because she found it out and then confronted him about it, but because Nolan told her. In her words “all their cards were on the table.” If Nolan was gone she wasn’t in the dark she knew what he was doing because he trusted her enough to share it. The reason they worked is because they had trust.

While obviously we know their relationship didn’t work out it wasn’t because of a communication problem, it was because Nolan was keeping secrets from her and also didn’t value her as a person with valid feelings. It’s almost like they’re meant to be a parallel to another couple on the show.

So with that information we get to Mark and Amber

Mark is a new superhero having gotten his powers a few mere months ago. He’s just started training and picking up hero duties and we know he’s not the strongest or best right now. We’ve seen him fail in his training and in his combat but for some reason Mark’s ability to fail stops at his relationship because he’s trying his best.

Amber finds out Mark is invincible a month or so before Mark tells her because quite frankly Mark is not good at hiding his identity, all she had to do was pay attention. When she does find out she doesn’t press him to tell her because she is waiting for him to reveal that he trusts her. He doesn’t and she finally reaches a breaking point when after ample enough time to tell her Mark disappears again and when she asks him for like the third fucking time what he was doing, he lies. AGAIN. THATS why amber broke up with him, because she opened the door for him to be honest again and again and he chose to lie.

An argument that you guys love to use is that Mark was doing this to protect her. I’m sure he thinks that’s what he’s doing, but amber knowing his identity doesn’t put her in danger, other people knowing marks identity would. if someone who wanted to hurt mark, say i don’t know his father, they could then find amber and hurt her. amber not knowing wouldn’t keep her safe, it would keep her ignorant of the danger. that’s not the same thing.

Then the excuse is that mark is a teenager so he’s not obligated to tell amber about his identity because they’re not serious, ignoring the fact nolan told debbie right at the beginning of their relationship. fine, but then amber isn’t obligated to be understanding that her boyfriend is constantly flaking and disappearing on her.

Amber is also a teenager but this fandom has decided she’s a vicious evil bitch for wanting honesty and attention from her boyfriend. Mark can keep his identity a secret but amber has to tell mark she knows the secret he’s been keeping from her?? just say you’re a hypocrite and go.

i don’t find it strange at all that you all love comic book amber who’s basically a white npc just there as a standin until mark gets with eve, but you hate tv show amber who’s black, assertive, and wants to be treated like a human being.

There are so many of you who think comparing a teenage girl to a literal genocidal maniac is perfectly logical and of course you do because you see all black women who aren’t docile and meek as a threat, it always just so happens that you hate black female characters.

Then of course you’re all pitting her against eve saying you can’t wait until amber is gone and i do see it as malicious, because without fail every time amber is brought up the discourse turns racist. i don’t care if mark and eve end up together in the show, they will never find a fan in me because of you racist weirdos.

Everyone in the show knows Mark was wrong, including mark and your precious eve. the show doesn’t agree with you because your wrong, if you still hate amber after reading this just know you’re doing it against logic.

but I find it so insidious when folks are like “Okay yes Young Griff can be real 🫶 but only if he marries Arya Stark because he’s Rhaegar come again & she is Lyanna come again and they will rule together as Lyanna & Rhaegar were meant too 🥺. Bonus points if Young Griff finds Arianne Martell especially disgusting or Elia Sand because you know her name is Elia and that way it can all go full circle with him humiliating a Martell.

Daenerys is right there! Arianne is right there! Margaery Tyrell is right there! Older Shireen! - Hell if it’s gonna be a Stark girl it’ll be Sansa seeing as she doesn’t have the Stark look. Why do y’all want to see Elia of Dorne so humiliated even after death!!!

If you have any what's your opinion on all the hate daenaera's been getting?

I don’t get how anyone can hate an angel, what did she ever do other than smile and be pretty. I’ve seen comments calling her stupid and saying she shouldn’t exist and it sounds like repackaged Nettles slander lmfao. Literally the same but it’s another character. Right down to the “the story should be altered” and “she’s too young.” But I mean ironically the alterations hotd will make would be aging her up the same way they did everyone else. Really some people get upset when the story doesn’t give them what they want I don’t like canon plot points being changed (Laenor, Aemond, whitewashing, etc.) especially when GRRM writes everything for a reason and anyone wanting a girl to prove or justify her life...the misogyny side eye I have. We start off with a Targaryen & Velaryon wedding and it’ll end off with one to start the next chapter for the Targaryen dynasty. If anything people hating a fictional innocent girl just shows how insane the fandom is.

I haven’t paid attention to hotd fandom discourse for a while tbh so I haven’t seen any post recently. Craziest one I saw months ago was that her children shouldn’t be hers so it’s gone from “I wish this was altered” to “this entire bloodline should be changed.” Just bonkers smh. Anywho I’m excited to see how Daenaera & Aegon cope with being orphans and they’ll have to bring back the Daemon/Vaemond situation I love the drama. The symbolism of marriage bringing together split apart families because Targaryens put the Velaryons through alot throughout the dance so they get solace. They’re both the blood of Old Valyria, and needed repair after the damage and mistrust. I hope Rhaena gives Daenaera a ride on Morning also because the girl likes dragons let her ride a dragon 😭😭 Post-dance with Morning and Aegon getting to marry girl who’s trying to be resilient despite all the death everyone had to endure, it’s obvious that optimism and light at the end of the tunnel is a theme after they lose so much and Daenaera is apart of that. Daenaera being Queen is literally the resolution. “Hope and good feeling reigned over the Red Keep as the new year dawned.” So I just don’t get wanting the conflict to be ongoing or wanting to rebuff House Velaryon. Then we have much needed portrayal of trust between Baela/Rhaena and Aegon iii when the Targaryens just had siblings fighting for the throne. The most important for Daenaera (to me) is the light v dark battle with their personality difference and her love for dragons/him being rumored to kill dragons is just so !!!! Daenaera’s personality is Baela/Rhaena mixture it’s so interesting. It also just lets me know book!Aegon iii is not a pervert, it’s the familiarity and comfort from who he knows won’t hurt him coming from Daenaera that draws him to her nothing sexual. GRRM wants the Targaryen bloodline to be from Targaryen/Velaryon blood so anyone that really hates that is gonna have to write fanfiction 🤷‍♀️

Everyone has narrative punishments btw. Because of Corlys Velaryons suffer nonstop even post dance it’s like a curse on their house, Greens die off, Rhaena loses Morning and Aegon iii loses his innocence but the biggest punishment is that the dynasty falls because of their lack of dragons which they did to themselves

finally got caught up on house of the dragon!! spoilers for episode 4 ahead.

i’m just really fascinated by the way consent is portrayed in the episode, especially in light of all the non/dubious consent in game of thrones. first off, you have this character, daemon, who thinks he’s in game of thrones, and by that i mean written by idiot white dudes and therefore has unchecked narrative authority, but actually he’s in a whole different show going a whole different direction and he seems to realize that during the brothel scene.

i was so wrapped up in the “omg uncle/niece incest” discourse that i’m surprised no one mentioned how consent is working in a complicated way in that scene. like daemon takes rhaenyra out on the town in an attempt to freak her out and upset her but it blows up in his face. he takes her to the play knowing it’s about the thing she’s most self-conscious about but she just shrugs and goes “idc it doesn’t matter what they think.” and he takes her to the brothel expecting her to clutch her princess pearls but she’s just like “wow ok this is cool.” and then he pulls out all the stops and he’s like i’m gonna fuck my niece and does what i imagine is the evil villain laugh that’s always going on in his head because he thinks he’s sooooo cool and badass when really he’s just kind of a loser.

thwarted again! rhaenyra just goes along with it like, yeah sure man why not sounds good to me. and he’s just, don’t you see i’m trying to hurt you. but he can’t! he can’t hurt her. and then he gets disgusted with the whole thing, and himself, and the fact he literally has no control over a single thing in his life, not even his attempt to have dubiously consensual sex with his own niece and sabotage her chances of becoming queen.

and then!! instead of getting upset rhaenyra just goes, well i’m horny time to go fuck someone. and on her way back into her room she remembers the time she hired the hot dornish guy to be her knight in actual shining armor and she goes, you’ll do. cue my actual literal favorite relationship dynamic: profoundly loyal knight/princess who annoys the shit out of him.

but what i find most fascinating about that scene is how platemail functions as nonverbal but very clear consent. when they started making out i was like, wait are they really going to show this dude taking off all of his armor?? and they fucking did. the armor removal took longer than the sex scene. there’s no way to misinterpret consent in that scenario. there’s no getting carried away. the entire time they’re both working together on this arduous task. they both *have* to actively participate. and that’s something game of thrones never even tried to do.

anyway, marge holding out a potato.jpg, i just think complex portrayals of consent are neat.

okay now for the fun stuff. You said you like Logan because he contributes to the group, but I disagree. I feel like Logan has contributed least to the group. When you say “he keeps level-headed”, I feel the opposite. Logan is very shy and timid, and he gets scared very easily. Logan is very easy to persuade and intimate, which is why he got bullied in the first place. Although he stood up to Barron, he wasn’t level headed at all. He was clouded with rage (which in part has to do with the phantoms) but shows he cannot control his emotions well. In many offical arts + earlier chapters, Logan is seen crying / hesitating constantly. Yes he has a reason to be terrified, but you cannot say he is level headed. Especially compared to everyone else. I’m not sure how I feel about him being able to make decisions under pressure. I think Logan is good at analyzing situations. Thats why he was able to come up with multiple theories about the phantom world. But I feel like in order to say he makes good decisions under pressure, he’d have to actually put these decisions into action. Logan is still very hesitant though and I don’t want to base his character off of one scene, especially because I’ve talked about why I feel like that scene was a cover up and not genuine. Most of the time Logan follows the instructions and commands of others. He actually buckles under pressure imo. like when they were fighting before getting the car, Logan would’ve never mentioned he was scared if Tyler had not spoken first. He would’ve just followed everyone else due to peer pressure. Logan always acts second. I honestly believe if he had saw Aiden on the roof he would’ve never even considered using his gun because he avoids situations that have a lot of pressure and responsibility. So no, I don’t believe Logan makes good decisions under pressure. Again that’s just my opinion and I’m down to talk about it more! but if you do want to debate pls js reblog this or put another ask in bc the comment word limit is so annoying 😭

I saw your blog and felt like explaining my own view on gender and see your own! I’m not trying to debate so pls don’t get upset, I just want to learn more about tucute/transmed discourse since I’ve been out of the loop for a long time!

I personally believe that gender and biological sex are unrelated and although gender was based on sex, it has grown far beyond that. One’s own experience with gender is different from everyone else’s. Yes, people may have similar views, but one’s one gender experience is unique and only they can determine how they identify.

nobody can tell others how to identify or what’s a “valid” identity. Trying to make rules and specific meanings for something that was constructed by people and has such a loose meaning is impossible and there’s no all-inclusive definition.

pronouns ≠ gender, pronouns are a form of self expression/presentation

neopronouns and xenogenders are just highly specific and unusual ways of identifying one’s self. It’s a form of being non binary. They just describe gender experiences. That’s it. People don’t genuinely think they’re a dog or a galaxy or whatever.

being nonbinary isn’t a third gender, it’s not being entirely male or entirely female. You can be male aligned nonbinary and female aligned non binary because you don’t identify with the binary 100%

honestly the whole gender experiences shit is so fucking crazy useless. what the hell is a gender experience? to me gender experiences sounds like how you would get treated because of your gender or at the very least something like do you follow gender roles or not? but to some people apparently its a uniquely personal thing thats unable to be described (often because it isnt real/they know if they did describe they would be told that's.. normal and doesn't make them a different gender) anyways. no theyre not a form of describing unusual ways of identifying or whatever. they're just there for people who dont understand the difference between gender and a personality.

if someone is "not entirely male" they're either not male or not nonbinary you cant be in-between.nonbinary is not binary, so it cant be partially binary. asexual is Not asexual, so it can't be Demisexual. any man who is partially a man but doesn't Relate to other men is still just a man. i was gonna bother saying more n shit but honestly ur message is too long and i don't care anymore.

While I’m impressed at the anime committing to retiring Ash I can’t help but have mixed feelings and a sense of dread.

Ash in a lot of was was functionally the best known mascot alongside Team Rocket, and to loose them now feels like the series has lost a bit of its soul. The new anime having this slightly generic vibe doesn’t help either.

I’m sure the new kids will be lovely, but this situation reeks New Gen drama that’s hurt other series because of fan backlash: Yokai Watch, Kinnikuman, BuddyFight, Naruto and others have all gone through this, and it wasn’t pretty. Now to be fair there were other factors at play and Boruto largely seems to have evaded this, but the point stands the attempt to move on didn’t work...

It’s worth mentioning this happened in a fashion in the anime where Team Rocket was supposed to retire during Best Wishes, but fan backlash at the mere thought guaranteed their return after a brief break.

The new generation vibe also feeds into the new kids, who feel like they could be, as of typing, Ash and Go’s kids. The new lead girl looks like Ash and Serena smooshed together, and along with wearing Ash’s old hat logo as a pin, it feels like a cheeky conclusion to long standing shipping discourse lol. (If the girl is unrelated, the pin is probably just a cute reference all the same.)

Already the fanbase is pretty split between upset at Ash leaving and overjoyed at starting fresh. I’m curious to see how long this goes on for once the epilogue OVA ends and the new anime starts and how that may feed into the future of anime projects…

Personally I was fine with Ash and Pikachu because of how the anime functioned as a silly continuous adventure, and I semi suspect Ash will continue to journey anyway, we just won’t see it anymore going forward, so it’s honestly very bittersweet. Especially since I was looking forward to see how Ash (potentially Go too) and Team Rocket would adapt to Scarlet and Violet’s storyline. Ah well.

As eluded to prior, I think my main concern about this is it’s gonna get unfairly flung in the mud by various factions for various reasons, and I can’t shake the feeling the new kids are gonna be Rodimus Prime like martyrs, and like Yokai Watch Shadowside, they’re gonna revert back to Ash and Team Rocket because of backlash. And that’s in spite of a grand finale they seem to be building towards that addresses some lingering loose ends for Ash and co…

I hope I’m wrong though and this takes off, I’m sure it’ll be fine, but past experiences has me very wary (and weary) something absolutely stupid is going to happen.

I’ve seen a lot of people say that they think buying the checkmarks, blazing posts, etc. or giving Tumblr your financial support in any way is morally wrong because they believe the Tumblr staff is full of TERFs and bigots.

I just wanna say that there are members of staff who have their own blogs and their asks are open. You can literally just pop into their inbox to voice your concerns at any time. You can tell them about the gross ads you saw and about the TERF posts that got blazed, and you can ask them for an explanation and whether that was intentional or not. Staff are being more open with the userbase now than they have ever been and you can actually talk to them about this stuff instead of just assuming things about them.

This is the last post I’m gonna make about the checkmark discourse, I won’t be engaging with it any further. I just bought the checkmarks because I’ve been hearing about how Tumblr will probably shut down if they don’t start actually making profits soon, and as someone who has been on this website since they were 12 years old and benefited a lot from the escapism it provided while I was going through shit growing up I kinda don’t want that to happen. I had no idea people were going to treat this like a big fucking deal, and seeing posts saying things like “if you bought the checkmarks you’re a bad person” and “if you buy the checkmarks kill yourself” filled me with genuine anxiety and made me think maybe I shouldn’t have been so quick to buy them.

And before anyone asks, I do not support the things that people are claiming staff support, and I would be upset if that actually turned out to be true. I’m nonbinary and autistic, so some of the things that people are accusing staff of are actually things that do affect me.

Teen Wolf Rewatch: Season 1, Episode 1—“Wolf Moon”

All right, party people, please prepare yourself for my morally grey and overly cynical rewatch of a show I both love and hate more than anything. Also, I’m a rambler and a ranter, so this is gonna be long, no doubt.

Also, fair warning, I am not a fan of Scott McCall, so if you’re a proud card-holding member of the Scott McCall Defense Squad (dumb name btw), I recommend that you keep on scrolling because you do not want to engage in discourse with me. I am a petty little bitch and absolutely will argue with you for the sake of arguing. Ya’ll get hilariously upset about people’s dislike of him, and it gives me great joy to see the absolutely pathetic length’s you’ll go to in order to protect this piece of shit ass character.

I know he can’t help it, but I could not stop staring at DOB’s stress herpes that appears intermittently throughout this episode. Like, you can almost track what order scenes were filmed in based on the size of the middle of his top lip. Poor baby was absolutely pressed on his first real acting gig, and his body was absolutely responding to it.

As someone who is from Northern California and has spent time in our wooded areas and forests, it is laughable to me how much these Georgia woods could not be mistaken for California forests in a police lineup. Like, I know they had to make do with what they had, but holy fuck, the foliage in these two states aren’t even fucking close, my dude.

I always love that Scott has a guitar in his room throughout the entirety of the show, but we never once find out whether or not this fool can actually play. Like, it’s literal set dressing, and it’s even more hilarious when you consider that Tyler Posey actually can and does play the guitar. They could have given Scott a cool little skill if they wanted, but they were like “eh, he does lacrosse, that’s enough character traits for Scott”.

Maybe Scott had a fucking asthma attack while looking for the body because he wouldn’t just shut the fuck up and stop complaining about the thing he wasn’t forced to do. Jesus christ, Scott, shut the fuck up. We get it. You don’t wanna be here. But then, like, why did you go?

I also love that they wanted us to believe that Scott was that severely asthmatic at the beginning, but they start the show by showing him putting on a pretty impressive pull-up show and having a pretty nice body before being bitten, like ???

I love the Sheriff shining a flashlight through the sparse trees in the woods like you can’t see everything out there. You could run blindfolded through these trees and not hit a single fucking thing because everything is so damn far apart.

On a related note to the point above, where the fuck did these deer just appear from?? They literally just come from some sort of liminal space that exists behind the trees. Is there a platform nine and three-quarters situation happening in the trees of Beacon Hills?

All of the dead bodies and crime scenes in this show are so clean, my god.

I would have beat the fucking freckles off of Jackson Whittemore for how he treats people, stg. Little fucking punk-ass rich could. Ugh.

I kind of vaguely recall that the reason BHHS is all about lacrosse is that Jeff Davis was trying way too hard to be different, but like…what fucking Northern California public high school is this meant to represent? I’m not saying that it doesn’t or can’t possibly exist, but I would say that the overwhelmingly popular sports in our area are still your basic ass football, baseball, and basketball. In these parts, that’s a rich kid sport. Some public schools have lacrosse teams, but they tend to be even less popular than soccer teams out this way.

So, I love Lydia (or, more so, I love what fans have postulated about her and built her up to be in fandom because she actually kinda sucks as a character with real dimension in the show), but like…she is the worst version of a popular hot chick ever. Lydia Martin is a straight-up bitch in the first season of this show. Like…what a shallow little cunty bitch.
