Something I love is when idols get to have cameos of their careers, talents, or other characters in their work. One of my favorite examples is how ‘Heartbeat’ by 2PM, is referenced in dramas which star members of the group. It’s such an iconic song and is such a popular 2nd gen one that everyone knows (or definitely should).
Ok Taecyeon of 2PM as Jang Han-seok/Jang Joon-woo in the drama, ‘Vincenzo’ (2021)
Also in ‘Vincenzo’ we see two other members of 2PM, Nickhyun and Chansung cameo, as well, as two characters in a drama that Joon-woo watches.
In the drama ‘What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim?’ (2018), Hwang Chan-sung of 2PM played the character Go Gwi-nam, who gave a hilarious homage to his group and their hit song ‘Heartbeat’ by singing in front of his coworkers in an embarrassing but ever so entertaining scene.

The Untold Stories Behind Idols.
Nowadays, fandom and fan culture have steadily gained public attention. Many individuals are interested in how this subculture contributes to society. However, their existence appears to have attracted more public notice than ever in recent years. With the advancement of social media, which acts as a convenient platform for fans to engage with their idols and organize and carry out various events, fans' scope and diversity of activities are expanding.
Fandom technology is evolving as well. The firms behind some of K-top pop's performers are paving the road for a new method to commercialize them. They've created online channels to give K-pop fans the impression that they have direct access to their favorite idols. This access influences how these fans connect with the idol as a kind of friendship, as well as how they interact with other fans.
To be honest, there are excellent admirers of pop celebrities and some who pursue them, give strange presents, and even attempt to abduct them. Generally, fandoms are cheerful and stress-free communities. From setting up on-ground fundraising drives to hosting record-breaking internet events, their devotion to and excitement for supporting their heroes frequently earns our respect. While there is no dispute about their dedication, the cruel fact is that sometimes it is the most fervent admirers that endanger their heroes.
Calling the idols' personal phone numbers, hacking their social media accounts, stalking their idols' group, overcrowding at airports, and, in more extreme cases, camping outside their idols' dorms or houses, installing secret cameras, placing recording, or tracking devices in hotels or in cars, sending disturbing gifts or fan letters (a female fan reportedly sent a love note written in menstrual blood to OK Taecyeon, a member of K-pop group 2PM).
Fans prefer to examine those who engage closely with their celebrities, and dating scandals are the pinnacle of their internet digging. If a K-pop artist, for example, has the same Instagram poses and captions as a person they're close to, or wears similar clothing, this can already spark relationship rumors among fans. Some fans get carried away with their strong feelings and emotions for the artist, causing bouts of jealousy whenever their favorite artists interact with the opposite gender or are involved in a dating scandal.
This is why, for them, it's essential to be aware of one's own limitations as a fan, especially when it comes to personal life. Off-camera/off-stage, respecting their privacy, personal space, relationships, and identity ensures their safety and demonstrates to them that they are more than just entertainment robots for you.
Know where you stand as a supporter. Just though you know their birthdays, allergies, and pets' names doesn't imply you know them. And, if you truly want the best for them, demand adequate security to ensure their safety.

There's all sorts of faceclaims I'd personally love to see! I think this is a great setting for second or third generation idols or older actors, characters at an age to want to settle down and start a family. Ok Taecyeon Wants to Show More Skin in His Next Drama Role
Ok Taecyeon, the multi-talented idol-actor, has revealed his wish to portray a character that would showcase his physique more than his previous roles. The 2PM member, who recently impressed viewers with his villainous performance in the hit K-Drama “Vincenzo”, shared his thoughts on his acting career and future plans in a media interview.
Ok Taecyeon’s First Solo Fan Meeting in Manila
On September 23, Ok Taecyeon held his first solo fan meeting in Manila, Philippines, where he met his loyal fans and entertained them with his music, games, and interactions. Before the main event, the star also participated in a press conference with some members of the media and selected fans.
During the press conference, Ok Taecyeon talked about various topics related to his K-pop and K-Drama activities. He expressed his gratitude to his fans for their support and love, and also shared some behind-the-scenes stories from his recent projects.

One of the questions that caught the attention of many was about his acting career and what kind of role he wanted to play next.
Ok Taecyeon’s Dream Role: A Boxer, A Fighter, or A Swimmer
Ok Taecyeon has been active as an actor since 2010, when he debuted in the popular teen drama “Dream High”. Since then, he has taken on diverse roles in different genres, such as a ghost hunter in “Bring It On, Ghost”, a detective in “The Game: Towards Zero”, a royal inspector in “Secret Royal Inspector & Joy”, and a half-vampire in “Heartbeat”.

Ok Taecyeon, Won Ji An
However, the role that made him gain recognition and praise from critics and viewers alike was Jang Han Seo, the young and ruthless chairman of Babel Group in “Vincenzo”. Ok Taecyeon showed his versatility and charisma as he portrayed the complex and conflicted character, who was both an antagonist and an ally to the titular anti-hero played by Song Joong Ki.

In a previous interview with Eric Nam on Daebak Show, Ok Taecyeon revealed that playing a villain was his dream role. He also said that he had to persuade his agency, JYP Entertainment, to let him take on such a role, as they wanted him to maintain a clean image.

Now that he has fulfilled his dream role, what is next for Ok Taecyeon as an actor?
In the press conference in Manila, he answered this question by saying:
Like what I said before, I do wanna expand my spectrum as an actor. But since I am known for my physique…
He was interrupted by cheers from the audience, who apparently agreed with his statement. Ok Taecyeon is indeed known for his muscular body and handsome appearance, which he often flaunts on stage and on social media.
He continued:
I do want to try something that would allow me to exhibit my physique a little bit more than the characters I have previously done. Like boxer, fighter, or swimmer.
He then added that he is open to any role that would challenge him and make him grow as an actor.
His answer surprised some of his fans, who suggested other roles for him, such as a romantic comedy lead or a historical drama hero. One fan even shouted out a reference to the erotic movie series “50 Shades”, which made Ok Taecyeon laugh and blush.
He responded:
I know what you guys want. But I think it’s too early for that.
Ok Taecyeon’s Upcoming Activities
As of now, Ok Taecyeon has no confirmed drama project yet. However, he is busy with his K-pop activities as a member of 2PM.
