Sum: After you got horribly injured on a mission with a loose special grade curse, Geto reaches his breaking point

Nanako and Mimiko are now standing on both sides of him.

"Is that Y/n, Geto-sama?" Mimiko asked timidly, "The one you keep on telling us about?"

"Why yes my dear" he answered with a smile, "Beautiful isn't she?"

The three of them were watching you from the edge of your wall like windows from your newly opened cafe. The place was extremely packed since it was only recently opened, and people claimed that your cafe had a 'home-like-vibe' to it.

Ever since Suguru's departure, you couldn't bare it in jujutsu high.

You tried, really really tried to keep fighting, for your friends and for yourself, but you failed.

Unlike Satoru, you couldn't keep on that track without Suguru, and even though you wanted to be there for Gojo, you couldn't be in that place any longer. Not when everything reminded you of him.

You decided to leave.

With the savings you had, you decided to live a normal life, a life in which you once planned with Suguru; but instead of living on a peaceful and quiet province, you knew that you still needed to save some more to be able to live comfortably there someday, still holding on to some hope that he'd come back to you.

You decided to, instead, build a small business and build a cafe in the streets of Japan, as well as renting out an apartment above it.

There, you've slowly built a life for yourself, not forgetting about your friends of course.

You gave Satoru a spare key for your apartment, telling him that hes welcomed anytime, and that your home is also his.

You knew Satoru took a bigger hit than you at Sugurus departure, he is his best friend after all; though maybe 'brother' is a better fit.

You might not know Satoru as much as Geto does, but you do come fairly close, knowing how much pressure hes in with having the title of the 'strongest', and no one really checking up on him thinking that he must always be ok.

Now you took it upon yourself to be there for him, to know that even with his brother leaving, as well as Nanami, his lover, that you were still there, and Satoru took that greatfuly, claiming that you were his sister in-law, and the both of you were family.

"One day" Suguru spoke, "One day the four of us would leave this wreched place, live a life as a family, happy and peaceful, once we finish our plan, and I make this world safer for my three girls"

He held the girls hands tighter, eyes never leaving your form as you smiled at the monkeys you were serving.

"The four of us?" Nanako asked, "Does that mean she'd be our mom one day?" Eyes shining brightly, matching the smile growing on her lips.

"Do you think she'd even accept us?" Asked Mimiko

"Of course she'll accept you" Geto answered, "Shes the most kind hearted person I know, and on top of that, I know she'll love you both"

Geto knelt infront of the two girls reaching their height as he patted their heads. He handed them some money telling them to buy what ever they wish on your cafe for them to be able to talk to you, making them promise to not mention that they know him.

Since the lunch rush was finally dying down, you were able to accommodate them soon enough.

Two little girls came up to you requesting the most sugary pastry you sold as well as two mugs of hot chocolate.

Amused by the two, you three fell into easy conversation.

You couldn't stop smiling at the girls as they spoke to you with such adoration and passion, asking you so many things about yourself and them telling you stories and things about them aswell.

You didn't know why, but after a long day, the two girls sitting on the counter infront of you telling you how they lost their first tooth as you wiped down the counter, lifted a bit of weight off your shoulders.

The sight itself melted Getos heart, seeing how you've already connected with Nanako and Mimiko after meeting them for the first time.

He couldn't wait to be able to give the three of you in his arms, happy and complete.

A/N: I was scrolling through tumblr searching for a jjk x mha type headcanon like this but can't find any sfw ones T-T so as a writer I opened my laptop and made one >< I mighttttt make this into a bit of a series type?? idk but I definitely love this idea so pls give me more scenario ideas, my requests are open!

You’re the child of Gojo Satoru, the number 2 international hero, fame only 2nd to All Might himself. Though your father is of Japanese descent, He decided to be more of an international hero rather than staying put in one country.

He’d have either his other pro hero friends Suguru or Shoko to babysit you during his busy days where he is needed somewhere else, or to his sidekick Nanami Kento.

You inherited his quirks, Six eyes and Limitless which are highly sought after quirks due to how immensely strong they are (Let’s pretend that six eyes also allows us energy manipulation in the MHA world because writing Gojo’s technique is hard af) of course your father trained you seeing that you also wanted to become a pro hero like him.

Due to spending time with your father growing up, you had picked up on his personality but you were more on the calmer side (thanks to your babysitters)

When you told Satoru that you wanted to enroll into UA highschool, he fully supported you and asked if you wanted to be known as a Gojo, to which you said yes.

The public never knew that the Gojo Satoru actually had a child, he kept it a secret in fear that villains would use you against him, especially when you were young and he couldn’t always be with you.

So when he made a public appearance with you, announcing you were his child, the people went insane!!

Not only did one of the strongest heroes have a kid who was practically a teenager by now, that also meant that he was off of the bachelor’s list (F to them, Satoru loves your mom a lot)

You looked a lot like him too, blue eyes and white hair and all.

You went to UA on the 2nd day because of a few things you had to fix first with your dad.

Surprise surprise! You got into 1- A. You came into the room with Aizawa sensei who introduced you to the class.

Your presence, along with your quite laid back personality made your classmates a little intimidated, even the spiky haired blonde much to his dismay.

When you introduced yourself to the class, you took off your blindfold for formalities, showing your beautiful blue eyes.

Congrats! You got the class blushing from how attractive you look.

During your quirk assessment tests, everyone watched your moves as you showcase your skills. Midoriya was both astonished and scared of how well you knew your quirk. Which made sense since your father would sometimes bring you to missions as a form of training.

Not much was known by the public about the quirk you and your father possessed, so Midoriya took this opportunity to observe further.

You used your teleportation for the running and jumping ones and you manipulated your energy to strengthen you during the grip test one.

During the ball throwing tests, you decided to use black flash, which sent the ball flying very far, shocking your classmates.

During break, Midoriya approached you and asked about your quirk while also fanboying about your father.

He asked why you were wearing a blindfold and you explained that six eyes makes you more sensitive and can fry your brain if overused, The scared look on his face after you said that made you laugh.

After getting to know you more, the class found out you weren’t that intimidating, you just had the confident aura your father has.

You got along well with everyone! With your playful personality and all, you fit right in!

Your hero costume is like Satoru’s jujutsu uniform and your blindfold is also like his, He says you both are twins lmao.

Being one of the stronger ones, Bakugou and Todoroki definitely made it a goal to overpass you. But you’d look at the two which a mischievous glint and deck them during training lmao.

You don’t use your dangerous techniques, knowing how easy they can kill if used wrong, you definitely ask your father for help on that one.

You became a sort of teacher to the class in a way, with you having more experience in the field, you like helping them out.

Midoriya, Todoroki and Bakugou being the ones who come to you more, well in Bakugou’s case asks to spar with you more.

Overall, despite how overpowered you may seem, you still fit right in with the class and they treat you like normal despite being the kid of a well known pro hero.

Bonus!!

Satoru definitely comes to UA just to annoy you and sometimes teach when he’s in the mood.

He’d spar with you in front of the class and that's the only time they see you losing so bad lmao

Midoriya definitely bombarded Satoru with questions which inflate his ego more.

AUDHD 👏 GOJO 👏

I’m right there with you so, in true AuDHD style, I’m zooming into your inbox to infodump because I’m ALWAYS desperate to scream about this (shout out to @ellionwrites for patiently and compassionately listening to my unpolished rambles about a lot of this stuff in private)!

I actually have a LOT of thoughts about 236 and how it’s Gojo’s “unmasking”. That chapter is really emotional for me because of how well it articulates my personal experience of navigating the world as an autistic person. This post (and especially its tags) from right after it came out says it in a much more concise way, but Gojo’s upset pout breaks my heart because, to me, that's evidence of “no matter how much you try, people will misunderstand you” and damn… that hits a little close to home 🥲

It’s why his death had such a strong impact on me, especially when it felt like half the internet was ignoring the actual words Gojo said to claim “he never cared about that stuff, he was arrogant from the start and you just misread him". In combination with “it was the best ending for a character like Gojo" — right after we find out how deeply lonely he’s been, never able to truly connect with anyone after Geto left? Well, it was mindblowingly meta and, therefore, pretty painful to read.

I wrote an analysis of Gojo’s character in 236 and, even though I wasn’t viewing him through an autistic lens for that particular post, I think my words under the cut still read that way — that’s how baked into his character I think this stuff is! I genuinely think the two pairs of sorcerers sitting with their backs to each other is a visual representation of the double empathy problem. I'm not sure autistic and allistic people can ever arrive at a place where we fully understand each other, but that doesn’t mean autistic people have to carry all the burden and remain isolated. That’s why it’s meaningful that Gege makes it clear that all the characters care about each other, even if they don’t see eye-to-eye.

Glad to see you shouting about this reading of his character, because I haven’t seen many people talking about it. Some people are very hostile to ND headcanons, especially for characters as popular as Gojo, which is why I haven’t really talked about it much myself. However, I feel like any fellow AuDHDers who read my fic must be side-eying me constantly because I don’t think I’m subtle about how I write Gojo’s character at ALL 🤪

Maybe it’s time to be brave and publicly share my 236 AuDHD!Gojo manifesto for the five of us who are standing in a circle screaming about this! Cheering you on and sending lots of love ♥️

Ahhhhh thank you so much for this infodump!!!! I was on a AuDHD!Gojo rampage last night as my brain worm hit right as I should have been going to sleep. But such are things....

Like idk why it didn't truly hit me until now, but I can't unseen Gojo as AuDHD. (It was probably because I re-watched "Everything's Gonna be Okay" with some AuDHD representation and then I started thinking of other AuDHD characters and immediately thought of Gojo.) I did play with the idea a few months back, but it hit me with full force yesterday.

Idk like I get a little annoyed with people who think I or others like Gojo just because "he's hot" because like okay fine yes (but also I think I just have gender envy but that's a whole other can of worms). But also, no no no that's not it! My love for Gojo is more than that! He speaks to me as a character. He's misunderstood. He's seen as something he isn't. In my eyes, he's neurodivergent (and queer). And Geto was the only other person who ever saw him for who he really was.

Gojo's death was really hard on me. I remember exactly where I was when I read that chapter. And then the airport. Fuck. EmOtIOns. At first, I tried understanding Nanami's words. I really did. But really, I just didn't if I'm honest. Those words were a shock to me. Like yeah okay he's selfish (but like aren't all humans?). He also helps though! Isn't that obvious? And at the end? He wanted to have an equal to go all out with in a fight. Again, why was that bad? He was also helping! What's the issue? He's a fallible human. Like you said in your analysis, he contains multitudes. What's wrong with that?

So, like many others, I thought maybe I misread Gojo. But no. Now I think the missing piece was that Gojo is AuDHD and Nanami didn't quite get that. He didn't understand Gojo's actions. (And ahh god that lil pout. Gojo was just living his life and people saw him but they never ~saw~ him.)

I think the visual of the sorcerers back-to-back is a great metaphor for the double empathy problem. I never saw it that way, but I see it now and like it! And I think you're so right with the fact that the characters still respect and support each other even if they don't understand each other fully. I think that's a theme woven throughout the story.

Blahhh I feel like there is so much textual support for AuDHD Gojo. Like him being blindsided by Geto's defection because he didn't see Geto's decline (and don't get me started about Autistic!Geto with his strict black-and-white thinking), him just blabbing about sweets when he meets up with Megumi before fighting one-finger Sukuna at the beginning, the fact he thought revealing Yuuji to his classmates at the exchange event would be funny (cause hey, I thought it would too until it happened and I saw oh hey, it wasn't), etc. Plus, his blindfold. His overall personality. Like, it's such a heavy mask. Now I see that.

I feel like people either love Gojo or they hate him. (I immediately gobbled up your analysis and 100% agree. And I think people's reactions to his death are pretty telling.)

Random Christmas Headcanons with the JJK Characters

ー just gonna wing this as i gooooo ★

oohhh here we gooo! 'tis the season where everyone can splurge, eat, sing, and be chaotic to their heart's content!! (gojo 100%)

i can think of many different scenarios like christmas w high school gojo, shoko and geto, christmas with tokyo jujutsu tech and christmas with tokyo AND kyoto jujutsu tech

i wanna go with the third one bc it sounds so chaotic 😂

sheesh… i don't even know where to start

first off the higher ups won't know about this except for principal yaga and the teachers

mainly because gojo just wants himself the kids to have fun

mainly because utahime is pissed that she's involved with this (she doesn't want to come, but for the sake of her students she has to)

they disguised the gathering as another one of those competitions where the students have to engage in battle using their jujutsu techniques

mainly because gojo doesn't like principal gakuganji

gojo had everything covered. from food to decors to the venue (which is unexpectedly a massive cabin somewhere in the forests of japan)

nobara even stole his credit card to purchase gifts, clothes and jewelry (she totally didn't lend it to yuuji after…)

now onto the events that gojo prepared!!

nanami was somehow involved with this because he was concerned about that huge possibility that gojo would plan something that will cause more chaos than it already is

it starts off with some games like charades, some card games, truth or dares…

megumi, mechamaru, momo and mai would be bored as fuck

they want to go home

yuuji does his best at every game like his life depends on every single turn

nobara gets hella competitive and unexpectedly becomes rivals with todo

maki plays alright, it depends on the game. if it's more physical then she'd participate, but if not she'll just stand there 🧍🏻‍♀️ watching everyone lose their shit

panda and inumaki would join the charades, but after that they're gonna be at the food station munching everything they can

kamo is a good boy, even if he doesn't want to he'll join the games because he thinks it's going to be a nice experience

miwa would win most of the games though. idk why, i just see her getting so into it and then beaming when she realizes she won (aww)

gojo would absolutely lose his shit watching the students play the games. he would cheer at them, cackle, tease them while they're at it ー all while providing all the commentary

bro would treat it like a sports commentary 😭

meanwhile the adults…

mei mei is out on a holiday trip with her younger brother (she's always missing lmfao)

nitta and ijichi are busy keeping the food section and the chaos manageable

nanami, yaga, utahime and shoko are chilling inside the cabin talking casually about how much they find gojo annoying, their plans for the holidays, and just chat about their lives over a drink and some sweets that gojo picked out.

they'll also discuss some curse sightings and how to deal with them (let us forget about kenjaku for a sec)

when the people outside get too loud utahime would have it and scold them

as if they'd listen 😶‍🌫️

and the main highlight of the party

is a snowball fight

with a twist

they'll use their techniques to go on a full out battle amongst the two branches of jujutsu tech

and everyone goes feral!!!

gojo goes feral too!! because he will hit anyone in sight!!

nobara would use the decor snowman and crash it to momo who's escaping the chaos as she floats midair with her broomstick

utahime just rages and becomes an easy target lmao

megumi, after dodging a few snowballs gives up and goes inside to get changed and prepare for bed

the one with the most advantage here is mechamaru because he'll load up snowballs and fire it rapidly into anyone he spots

maki and mai would unknowingly travel a little bit farther from the cabin to have a one-on-one snowball fight (mai shoots snowballs while maki deflects it)

miwa would just lie down in defeat

inumaki would play a foul move and yell "freeze" so that everyone would stop in their acts

then he'll run off inside with panda

by that time everyone realized how exhausted they became and eventually retreated to the cabin

utahime plops herself on the sofa in exhaustion because of the snowball damage she took and falls asleep there (gojo would draw things on her face and write a big ass MERRY XMAS and take photos for the gc)

nanami sighs in exasperation and suggests a christmas movie to watch after they've settled down

they all had an argument on what to watch because yuuji wants an animated film, todo wants a takada-chan concert recording, kamo politely suggested a romcom that resulted in a violent outrage, and the girls agreed to watch mean girls

nanami ended up playing the titanic to piss them all off

gojo's mood shifted mellower because he kept on recording all the midnight shenanigans that the students had while quietly chuckling to himself

shoko didn't miss that

after a while though, he joins them and quickly falls asleep

ijichi and nitta were asleep by the dining table but the mess was all cleaned up (big W)

eventually, everyone fell asleep to the sounds of the movie being played

but the sudden realization hit

shoko turns to nanami, face laced with wariness

"have you seen maki and mai?"

they instantly got up in search for the sisters

they found them a few hundred meters away from the cabin and told them to go inside

when everything was settled, they all found a comfortable place to sleep in and enjoy the rest of the christmas in silence

the next day after gojo was handing out some tokens he got from a trip overseas as a memoir of the party

it was a party indeed ~

Jujutsu Kaisen fanfic ideas but it’s ripped off from Kdramas and any other drama

]The title. Inspired by a thread on twitter where someone put filipino soap operas with haikyuu characters. It looked really fun. But I’m just gonna do a list of kdramas and plots that sound ‘yeah that might work’.

If you know the plots of these dramas and have like... clashing opinions on what I’m going to type... Don’t worry I do too. So just think of it as the dynamic or the plot instead because I find them interesting.

Born Again (A K-Drama from 2020)

I don’t remember the names of the dudes, but the one on the left is Geto while the right dude is Gojo, (the vibes don’t fit, change it as see fit) while Shoko is the female lead.

Why? Well. It makes a compelling story idea. Geto keeps getting constantly pressured by Kenjaku to follow through with his (genocidal) plans and everyone keeps suspecting that Geto actually did those... yellow umbrella murders or glass marble murders if you want to keep the vibes. Gojo and Shoko keep reaching this conclusion which is definitely false/framed shit because of that one darned strange evidence that isn’t like the rest. He was hospitalised with heavy injuries when one of the victims were murdered so there was no way he actually killed them and Shoko can testify with Utahime.

Turns out Kenjaku was in kahoots with... someone to make the actual perpetrator of the Umbrella murders or glass marble murders.

And by the end Geto, Gojo and Shoko all become besties because Kenjaku is now in jail with whoever else he cooperated with.

Flower of Evil (A 2019 K-Drama I think)

This show can either work as a Nanami x Reader/OC or as a SatoSugu fanfic if you thought hard enough. Actually any pairing will work really well.

But for the SatoSugu version you can have two daughters instead with Nanako and Mimiko. When necessary the two children get sent to Shoko and Utahime while the two leads are trying to investigate/cover up.

Again Geto is suspected for murder when he’s actually innocent.

Actually, who kills in Geto’s stead though? Because in the original show, it’s the male lead’s older sister. So Geto can either have an older sister, or it can be another character. I really don’t mind. Or maybe make it either Nanako or Mimiko, who are adopted teenagers of the two. Thus these two get involved easily in the things as well? It’s complicated ngl.

Also the last or second last episode where the main two act like strangers? Yes I need to see this tension between Gojo and Geto.

Her Private Life (A 2018 Kdrama)

I’ve only watched like... 4 episodes I think.

And I think this plot would work with Kamo Noritoshi/ Noshi and Todo. Todo’s a secret fanboy of Takada’s Idol Group, KATKAT. Their fandom name is KITKAT (made it up on the spot) and Todo is one secretly, although only Mai his former roommate actually knows about it. Who ocassionally enters his place once in a while.

All I remember that the male lead was like... the cool swag new art exhibitionist person or whatever, and I think this works with the snobby first impression of Kamo Noritoshi. Perceived genius of the arts. (Because that sounds cooler than being a doctor for now.) Todo works for like an exhibition place? Is really good at his job. Otherwise how the hell would these two meet more often. They work same place but met at the airport as KATKAT had returned from their Promotions in South Korea or something. And then they meet because... fansites which both were avoiding.

Idk the plot. it just sounds like the funniest dynamic out of the last ones.

Let’s do something with more heroines.

Search: WWW (A 2019 Kdrama I watched during Lockdown)

Oh man, this follows Maki, Mai and Nobara being in... search engine companies?? They’re all in their late 30s.

Mai and Maki used to be part of the same company, Zenen/Zero/Nezo/Reno, which is a search engine company that’s competing with another search engine in Japan, Yolk/Koy/Gogo/Jogo, which is becoming increasingly popular. Then suddenly a scandal happens at Maki is used as a scapegoat thus she ends up getting fired from the company and Mai suceeds in becoming CEO or something.

Maki then ends up going to the competing search engine company after getting scouted by the founder and current CEO, Gojo Satoru, and yeah. Idk follow the plot of the show from there. Nobara is also in this. She ends up joining the special force team that Gojo assembles to do really important things. Team is compromised of Maki, Nobara, Inumaki, Panda, and... Megumi or Yuta. Not fully sure.

Stuff happens.

And by the end of it. Maki, Mai and Nobara end up travelling to the coast after freeing Mai from the Zenins grip (because she was used as a political pawn due to her position in the search engine company).

Whether or not there’s romance side plots like the actual kdrama is something I don’t feel meshes well with their characters.

Andainya Takdir (Malay Drama with two seasons)

The biggest problem is that I literally only know that it’s about this really posessive, easily angered... he’s a yandere basically. Gaslight, gatekeeping his wife and possibly his kid. And that his wife and his child get away from it, likely in a divorce or something by the end of season 2.

...

Let’s write a whole original story involving Yaga Masamichi and OCs? I don’t know. I like Yaga Masamichi, but it would be interesting if he used to be rather lovesick/ horrible bastard and that resulted in him having a divorce, changing his ways forever after that experience.

It’s an interesting take on the trivia of him having had a family. What do you think?

guess I'm on weekly release now. ep 40 that must have been the most confusing battle for megumi. getting his ass kicking planning to get hit just so he can get another hit in and then his opponent stabs himself through the head. i was not expecting this much characterization from jogo. like usually you can tell which characters are going to be important based on how "cool" the mangaka makes their visual design and jogo looks like a normal flunky but he has a fully fleshed out character. sukuna and jogo are having a naruto style heart to heart wtf.

ah i wanna watching gojo go feral again what ep was that... ep 33 huh was it that far back? guess this whole arc is more about the fallout of gojo being sealed. damn yeah who animated that cut with the arm. the animation for this series really is top notch all around but especially the fights, i think jjk has cemented it's place as best animated fights i in any anime i have ever seen. satoru-chan is so manically happy to be fighting. wow this episode feels so much longer than it actually is.

I wonder why the author made jujutsu high be 4 years. for even 1st years its essentially on job training with them already being put to work. I do wonder how much schooling they're actually getting. and then narratively at this point there aren't even 3rd years and when i checked the wiki 4th year characters dont exist. and then with nanami leaving, originally i thought he then went to college but he's a lot younger than i initially though and most office jobs want more than highschool. so does jjk give you a university degree at the end? i know japan has 4 year universities but do they do 2 year associate degrees? just an all round weird decision.

NANAMI KENTO — nanami isn't one to typically doubt himself, but he often wonders if he does enough for you. he knows he's not the best with his feelings or words, but he tries his best. you do know that, don't you? you're not particularly nanami's first relationship, but you are the first person he's ever felt this way for, ever truly loved. he doesn't know what to do with these feelings for you, or how to properly convey them. nanami won't ever ask for reassurance however, and he's so good at controlling his emotions you'll never even realise he needs it. he's only human, and he's not all to surprised when he succombs to his emotions and insecurities, breaking your heart. you're left utterly confused, drowning in your tears as you try to figure out where your seemingly perfect relationship went wrong.

INUMAKI TOGE — all inumaki ever wanted when he was younger was to be 'normal'. now that he's older, he knows how to push away these thoughts, knows how to calm himself down before his insecurities eat him up. and then he begins dating you. inumaki doesn't understand it, doesn't understand how you can understand his onigiri language so perfectly, doesn't understand how you can deal with his pranks and clingy affections, doesn't understand why you ever fell in love with a boy who can't even tell you he loves you too. inumaki clings to you even more, gets more insecure each time he sees you with someone 'better'. he doesn't even realise how controlling and suffocating he's become until he goes to hold you close once more, and all his arms close around is air.

Is it raining? There’s a drop falling onto your hand.

Inumaki once trapped you out in the rain, grinning with the rest of the second and first years as you stood outside the door, soaking wet. You’d managed to grab him through the cracked-open door and pull him out with you.

And maybe Inumaki’s words do, in fact, do something. But it’s not what he wants. Adrenaline starts to wear off, perhaps swallowing false hope and thinking your body no longer needs the numbness. It hears, “don’t die,” and decides to lessen.

You gasp, your face wrinkling. You haven’t felt pain like this before.

He’s mumbling, again, safe words tumbling out of his mouth. His voice is garbled, choked up. It’s hard to make out what he’s saying.

It’s easy to think of being submerged in water. Floating, floating, floating.

It’s so cold.

You’re not sure when Inumaki shrugged off his jacket to drape it over your torso. But it doesn’t do anything to stop the shivering.

“It’s okay,” you murmur, slowly.

There’s no response.

You strain to focus your vision. He’s tightly pressing his hands against his eyes, his body wracking up and down irregularly. You don’t have to think about what it means.

He’s crying, silently. You always hated when he did that. It hurt to see him suffer.

“Please.”

There’s a hand softly cupping your cheek, a thumb closing your eyelids. Your face is wet, now. You imagine Inumaki smudging raspberry juice against your skin. He’d trace little swirls around your forehead, maybe even deciding to make a familiar circle mark against the side of your mouth, just because he could.

There’s a moment before he speaks. You know he doesn’t want to do it. He’d vehemently shaken his head and wouldn’t look you in the eyes for days when you’d mentioned it. He’d angrily scribbled on a piece of paper that he’d rather die than promise you that.

* Someone like Nanami doesn’t strike you as the kind of person that comes to places like this

idk if ur taking asks abt jjk but i was curious on ur thoughts abt gojo i haven’t rlly heard this around but i’ve been thinking abt the fact that gojo desire to basically indoctrinate children to fit his ideal sorcerer society is a bit strange and i saw this on your meta on how the schools only see these kids as tools but doesn’t gojo do the same idk my thoughts are everywhere and i get that gojo was raised in this system so it’s normalised in his eyes but idk gojo’s ideology is lowkey fucked imo and i was curious what u thought

I think Gojo is a product of the same society that raises up kids to be used as tools, and he unintentionally passes that lesson onto his students.Gojo knows that the system is wrong for using kids that way, but he’s such a fundamental part of the system, he doesn’t really know how to overcome it works inside of it instead. I think what he said to Megumi is pretty telling of how he treats these kids in general, he tells him you better get strong or else you’ll get left behind.” He thinks he’s teaching them what’s best, because that’s how Gojo understands the world works, but at the same time he’s telling a five year old kid if he fails to protect his sister it’s all his fault.

Gojo teaches his students to “get stronger, get stronger” as a response for all of their problems. He takes responsibility for their development as sorcerers, but nothing else really, and especially not their well-being as individuals. Gojo basically treats his students like mini-adults, friends he can pal around with, and that makes sense if you think about it, he’s raising them all to be political allies. He’s not really trying to raise a bunch of healthy adults. I think Gojo genuinely does care for these kids and stick out his neck to protect them, and his goal is entirely an altruistic one to prevent the childhoods of other children from getting destroyed like his did. However, Gojo is fatally a selfish person just like Geto is fatally selfless, he doesn’t offer help out of the goodness of his heart, he barters. He always expects something in return from these children.

So, on one level I believe Gojo yes is intentionally using these children. He only extends help when he gets something in return from them, his helps is always conditional on the fact that he’ll gain another ally. However, at the same time I think the problem more lies in the fact that Gojo doesn’t see individual people as individuals, and therefore doesn’t want to pay attention to the indivdual emotions of his students that he ends up using his students this way. He thinks it’s fine. This is how he was used growing up, but this time, Gojo is using them for good ends instead of a bad one.

I think Gojo’s inability to take care of their needs as individuals, especially attending to their emotional needs is why Tokyo Students are so strong indivudally, but weak as a group. Gojo’s only interesting in fostering their strength as sorcerers, not their emotional health, or their interpersonal relationships, because he doesn’t view those things as necessary. I mean he’s only had one best friend his whole life, and look at him, he’s fine.

To give evidence to my argument though, here’s a comparison between the Tokyo Kids and the Kyoto Kids.

1. Tokyo vs Kyoto

Gojo can be a fantastic teacher when he wants to be, but it requires him paying attention to a student’s individual needs, which he almost never does. When he designs a lesson plan raound Yuji, he does two things that make him better than most Jujutsu Sorcerers already. First, most traditional teachers teach that cursed technique is everything, and would have rejected Yuji outright. Whereas Gojo sees Yuji’s strength as a brawler. He’s willing to go outside the box, and buck tradition to focus on a student’s individual strength and emphasize those rather than telling Yuji he’ll never be a strong sorcerer without strong techniques. The second is he comes up with a method extremely suited to Yuji’s learning style.

However, I think it’s important to note that Yuji and Gojo are actually really similiar. He’s a really receptive student who hangs off of Gojo’s every word. For Gojo it’s like him teaching a younger version of himself, someone who believes that strength is everything, and wants to become the strongeste to be a pillar of support to others. You don’t really get good teacher points for spending the most time with someone who’s easy to teach.

And even with Yuji whose really really receptive to Gojo’s highly individual focused learning style, there are several things that Gojo just neglects to teach or even mention. Basic, fundamental things, that every sorcerer should know.

Nanami has to go out of his way to give Yuji the 101, because Gojo neglected to tell him all the basics. Children are smart of course, especially adolescents who are capable of thinking for themselves, but they also generally know what they’ve been taught up to this point. Yuji is a complete newcomer to the sorcerery world, it makes sense he’d basically be a blank slate having to learn all of this from scratch, but Gojo himself either doesn’t know this, or doesn’t bother with it because it’s too troublesome. He thinks of the kids as miniature adults so, it would make sense that he just assumes they know everything he knows already.

That’s the entire point of introducing Nanami into the story. Gojo teaches Yuji to be a better sorcerer, but not to be an adult, and it’s because he doesn’t really see him as a child to begin with. Gojo thinks becoming a strong sorcerer is the way to teach these kids to be good adults, but he neglects the emotional half of having to teach because Gojo doesn’t deal with emotions well. I mean, even in his training of Yuji, he designs a training method where Gojo doesn’t actually have to be there, and present with him most of the time. He can lock him in a room, and go run off to do Gojo things while Yuji teaches himself. As opposed to a mentor like Nanami who constantly watches and monitors his development.

This is where we start to get to the comparison with the Kyoto students. Because even in the creaive way Gojo taught Yuji, there were some things that Yuji just learned wrong, and internalized wrong from Gojo’s lesson.

Gojo explained the theory behind Yuji’s divergent fist, but Yuji learned it wrong, because he didn’t understand the way cursed energy flowed through the body. If Gojo was paying attention, he would have caught it and corrected it, but Gojo’s teaching style is sink or swim, let students learn or fall entirely on their own. Whereas, when Todo actually sees Yuji’s flawed divertgent fist, he’s able to point out the problem.

Todo actually acknowledges that there’s a difference between beginners and elite sorcerers, that their’s a learning curve to these things, and rather than leaving Yuji to learn it on his own he guides him through these things. While at the same time, expecting Yuji to figure out some things naturally. Todo never once goes easy on Yuji, I’d say his standards for people are as harsh as Gojo’s. You either learn it or you don’t. You’re either strong or you’re not. However, there’s a distinct difference between Todo and Gojo’s teaching styles, and it’s that Todo is emotionally intelligent, and Gojo is not.

Todo pays attention to people, he notices when they’re off, when they’re going through something, and rather than just ignore it, he almost immediately addresses it and tries to talk them thorugh it. It’s not perfect of course, but having his emotions paid attention to, helps Yuji develop as a person moreso than a sorcerer.

The Kyoto students have a teacher who pays attention to their individual needs. A teacher who actually teaches. While we may not know much about Utahime as a character yet, you can see the direct impact she has on her students compared to Gojo.

Gojo’s students are individually strong, but weak as a team,. Utahime’s students are much weaker individually, but can come together.

It shows both in the Kyoto Battle Event, but also the Shibuya arc. The Kyoto kids are all unstable it’s true, they’re all prone to lashing out, but because they’ve dealt with such dark emotions rather than repressing them they’re also way more capable of talking about their feelings to others.

Yes, the Kyoto kids don’t deserve to lash out at whoever they want. Yes, lashing out is a bad way to attempt communication. However, it’s also true that the Tokyo kids respond with what basically amounts to self-righteousness. The Kyoto kids are lashing out because they are going through something, because they’re suffering, yet the Tokyo kids don’t really try to understand those feelings.

Kamo was seperated from his mother at a young age. Maki left Mai behind in an abusive household. Nobara has never experienced the same abuse that Mai has so she’s not really in a position to judge which twin she thinks is the good twin, and which is the bad one. Mechamaru is chronically ill and in constant agony, and then instead of getting him medical help he’s just being used as a toy soldier.

So. The problem is. Gojo’s style of teaching. He wants these kids to be political allies. He wants them to try to make a better world than the one he experienced growing up. However, Gojo doesn’t really teach them to think for themselves. He doesn’t teach them to look at the situation, and the way the Jujutsu World is designed to manipulate and use these children.

Individual responsibiltiy is a good lesson to teach. Individual responssibility can help someone get over themselves and their issues and work towards self improvement, but it’s also, not the only solution. It’s also, impossible to overcome these circumstances all on their own.

Mai can’t be strong like Maki. She’s not weak for folding under the pressure of being in an abusive household. You could even argue that Maki isn’t stronger than her abuse, because emotionally she’s weak, she can’t even maintain a relationship with her own sister she has to cut herself off from everyone.

Kamo has to follow the clan’s orders, he’s terrified they’ll hurt his mother and he’ll never see her again. She’s actively being used as a tool to manipulate them.

Mechamaru is already strong as a sorcerer, that’s not going to stop the fact that he’s chronically ill.

Basically, in this regard Gojo’s students repeat what Gojo himself always says. “Have you tried getting stronger?” We can see why this approach doesn’t work with Kokichi, because he did do what Gojo would always reccomend. He didn’t want to burden others with his emotions so he tried to be strong and solve everything on his own, and that resulted in his death.

Think if Mechamaru had been supported. If he thought it was okay to confide his problems with others, if it was okay for him to be weak, and ask for help when he didn’t know what to do on his own.

However, when he tried to do that with panda he just got slapped with a “Your behavior is wrong.” It’s why even when telling people, especially children their behavior is wrong you also need to be sure to take care of their emotional needs as well. Especially teenagers, because teenagers are literally all emotions, they’re not minitature, fully-developed adults. Kokichi was wrong to lash out, but his emotions were right. He has every right to be in pain. When he’s told off, he also takes that as a message that he’s weak for trying to confide anything in others, that him complaining about his victimhood made him weak in the first place, so what does Kokichi do. He retreates into himself, he quiets down about his problems, he tries to solve everything on his own and he fails at doing that because you can’t. You cannot solve all your problems by simply being stronger than them.

Gojo’s students aren’t raised as emotionally healthy individuals, and because of that they also can’t really relate to the emotions of other people, especially the negative one. They are, strong willed individuals yes, strong sorcerers, yes, but they’re not really a team.

I think that’s illustrated in how they all fall apart in Shibuya. All of Gojo’s students basically make the same mistake, they don’t listen to the adults, they charge into battle because “I’m strong enough.”

Nobara, the adults literally all told you not to fight. Nobara: Nah it’s fine I’m strong.

Look at how Nobara loses. The second she starts fighting with Yuji as a team, she makes a sloppy mistake because she 1) underestimated her opponent and 2) was never taught how to fight in a team.

It’s not just Nobara though it’s every single one of them.

Yuji runs off on his own, fights on his own, and loses to Choso. Megumi suicide attacks to take down one (1) opponent whose just a regular curse user when he reaches his limit.

This is what they are all taught. They all have to fight on their own, be strong on their own, and if they’re strong enough they’ll win, if they’re not strong enough oh well. The Tokyo Kids genuinely like each other as a team but they’re always running away from each other. They all overestimate themselves and what they’re capable of handling and get in over their heads.

And it does go back to the Kyoto Battle arc, because the Tokyo kids are just as emotionally disturbed as the Kyoto kids, they just are repressed about it. Take Megumi for example, Megumi has been abandoned and neglected all of his life, and Gojo never really offered him any support or healing for that abandonment.

There’s no canon indication that Gojo ever raised Megumi or did anything with him other than provide for housing, and protect him from the Zenin clan on the condition that Megumi STILL BECOME A SORCERER, JUST ONE POLITICALLY ALLIGNED FOR HIM AND NOT THE ZENIN.

He didn’t offer Megumi a chance at a normal life, or even help him grow up as an individual because Gojo’s not interested in these things. Gojo’s help is conditional on the fact that Megumi work hard to pay him back, and reach his full potential as a sorcerer. As a result, Megumi is walking around with completely unaddressed abandonment issues as a result of never having a stable adult in his life, and this goes, completely unnoticed, which leads to him constantly risking his own life, endangering and harming himself. Megumi’s just as unstable as the Kyoto kids, he’s going to do something dangerous someday soon. It’s just Megumi’s been taught from a young age, he has to be the responsible one in his household, and he has to take responsibility for everything on his own by working to become stronger, and look like where that has led him.

Hmm, I wonder why Megumi always feels like it’s his responsibility to sacrifice, what could have possibly led him ot that conclusion? Why does he feel so responsible for the actions of other people around him? It’s a geuine mystery.

However, the Kyoto kids are capable of doing something the Tokyo kids can’t do. They can cry and be weak in front of other people. They can support each other as a group. Not only did they help Miwa at her lowest point, but Yuji would have given up, had Todo not shown up when he did.

Yuji actually wasn’t capable of handling it all on his own. He couldn’t defeat Mahito just by being stronger than him, or having a strong will.

Individualism like Gojo teaches is important, but it’s also incomplete. It’s only half the solution. The Tokyo kids need the camraderie of the Kyoto kids, the same way the Kyoto kids need to learn to take responsibility for themselves.

That’s why the Shibuya arc ends the way it does. The Tokyo kids failing as individuals, and the Kyoto kids coming together as team. However, since both sides only have half the answer, neither side is able to defeat Kamo Sr. totally.

However, Gojo’s mistakes are shown even more clearly after the arc resolves. Gojo doesn’t actually teach people to think for themselves, because he’s raising them up to follow his politics. Now, look at what his students are doing in his absence. Gojo wants to fix the broken world, but Yuji’s conclusion he comes too after suffering is that he doesn’t want to think about fixing the world. He just wants to become another cog in the machine.

What was the greatest mistake the previous generation made?

Geto. Not only in exposing him to the trauma of Riko dying in front of him. But also, offering him no support a year afterwards. Yaga completely neglecting him and failing to see what was going wrong. Then, when Geto finally did break, sending another student to kill him.

Yaga really can’t understand why this eighteen year old would hestiate to kill this other eighteen year old, that’s been his best and only friend for three years. Why is this child not comfortable with an execution mission? It baffles the mind.

Gojo, by failing to raise his students as emotionally healthy individuals repeats the same mistake.

Yuta and Yuji both don’t really care about the world around them, or politics. They don’t pay attention to those things, they weren’t raised to do that. However, now because of that, because both are willing to become cogs in the machine they’re both letting themselves beused right now.

They refused to think for themselves, so now the elders are manipulating them into a conflict against each other. Yuta because he doesn’t see the situation at large, he only wants to protect his friends. Yuji, because the only way he thinks he has value is by killing curses, he’s just going to keep blindly executing them until Yuta comes to kill him. Gojo’s students are divided specially because of that reason. They’re not together as a group, they’re just a group of particularly strong individuals, and Gojo never even thought that these strong individuals with no particular connection to each other might turn against each other. They might lie to each other. They might keep secrets from each other. They might fail to communicate. Because, Gojo doesn’t really pay attention to complex relaitonships like that. He’s only had his one friend his whole life.

Even though that’s also exactly what happened to his one and only friend, his emotional needs were neglected by the system around him until he completely fell apart. Geto and Gojo’s problem wasn’t that they weren’t “the strongest” when they were together. It’s that they were never “together” again after a certain point.
