It has been a while (years ;; ) since I've drawn Voice, my dear witch and her ever obsession with the macabre! What's the context behind this? I don't know! Feel free to guess xD; maybe a story will sprung! I wanted to draw her near kissing a demon or a skull...so why not both? :D
Thank you for stopping by!

TUTORIAL: Getting rid of the shoulder curse
A nonny asked me earlier today how I made it so that the hair mesh isn’t affected by the size of the sim’s neck and shoulders, so I thought I might as well make a tutorial out of it.
Full tutorial under the cut because it’s quite lengthy (mostly because of the pictures - the actual process is pretty easy).
1.      Export your mesh and open Blender.
Tumblr media
2.      Under the Data Tab (highlighted in blue below), scroll until you find a drop down called UV Maps.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
3.      Click on uv_1. Your mesh should look similar to this:
Tumblr media
4.      Select all parts of the mesh as shown and open up the diffuse map (the texture) on the left screen. Your screen should look something like this.
Tumblr media
5.      (OPTIONAL) Next, turn on the Snap during transform option (Shift+Tab) in the UV map area and also set it to snap to vertices.
Tumblr media
6.      Select all parts of the mesh that you want to edit and scale along the x-axis (Press S, and then X on your keyboard) until it turns into a straight line. You don’t have to go as extreme as this, but it works well enough for me.
BEFORE
Tumblr media
AFTER
Tumblr media
7.      Transform (i.e.) move the selected vertices until it lines up with vertices at the left-most portion of the UV map.
Tumblr media
8.      Repeat the same steps for the other side.
Tumblr media
9.      If the mesh already has hat chops, repeat this step for all remaining cuts (0000 and 0001). If you haven’t done that already, then congratulations, you’ve saved yourself from some effort.
10.   Import the mesh into S4Studio and save the package.
11.   Go in game and check your work :>

i do unironically think the best artists of our generation are posting to get 20 notes and 3 reblogs btw. that fanfic with like 45 kudos is some of the best stuff ever written. those OCs you carry around have some of the richest backstories and worldbuilding someone has ever seen. please do not think that reaching only a few people when you post means your art isn't worth celebrating.

EVERY SINGLE DAY there are MILLIONS of characters in their late 20s who get falsely accused of being father figures to teenagers when in reality the description of "weird older cousin" or "step-sibling that moved out before you were born" is 1000000x more apt

actually. that post about how its important to have weird kinky queer friends. i think the same is true of really every type of ostracized person but in particular i wanna point it out wrt mentally ill people.
if you watch a movie villainizing DID or schizophrenia or something, and you think, "hey, this seems sort of like its based on what my friend has and theyre just a chill person, why are they making my friends condition seem threatening?" thats good.
if you see someone use narcissist as a synonym for abuser and you think, "what, no, im friends with someone who has NPD and i know theyre a kind person, this isnt true at all," thats good.
if you hear politicians try to frame addicts as violent criminals who should be locked up and you think "no, my buddy sam is just sick, their withdrawals are really painful and they dont have a good support system, they shouldnt be locked up for that," thats good.
being able to counter ableist rhetoric with "i know from experience thats not how these people are" is a good thing. like yeah obviously dont make friends with mentally ill people just for brownie points but also try to make the conscious effort to be open to friendship with people who have stigmatized mental health issues. and maybe even more importantly, be someone who makes it clear to others that youre safe to be open about these things with, because chances are youre ALREADY friends with mentally ill people even if you dont realize it, because a lot of us with more demonized conditions try to hide those conditions out of fear, and it helps a lot to know our friends are allies - and then we might feel safe discussing our experiences, IF we want to, and in turn that can help you better understand the realities and diversities of our situations and be less susceptible to ableist rhetoric.

hey!!!! remember standing rock water protectors and the dakota access pipeline?
the massive, poorly constructed environmental risk that spat all over the Standing Rock Sioux people's treaty rights? that dug up their sacred burial sites? the one where the oil corporation who owned it bought out a private company to do a sham of an "environmental analysis" and never consulted the tribe and STILL didn't actually get approval? the one that's literally operating illegally and without proper permits right fucking now?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
yeah, that.
you remember that.
surprising absolutely no one, the army corps of engineers this week (September 8, 2023) released an EIS (environmental impact statement) draft for public comment that takes into account absolutely 0 of the tribe's concerns, and in fact did not consult with them once in the process!
they're going to officially approve the pipeline.
what's the good news?
IT'S A DRAFT. YOU CAN SUBMIT PUBLIC COMMENT RIGHT NOW UNTIL NOVEMBER 13!!!
This link RIGHT HERE (https://action.lakotalaw.org/action/dapl-eis-2023) will take you to a Lakota Law Project page where they've set up a form to make it easy to submit a comment.
All you have to do is add your name, email, and zip code, and it pulls up a form with a pre-written message you can just click and submit, listing the most pressing concerns. You can also personalize it if you want, but you don't have to. This will take you two minutes. Please.
you can also access the comment information on the USACE website here, email [email protected] yourself, or call Brent Cossette, the contact for the draft, at 402-995-2716!!!
you can also donate directly to the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe here.
