1. Were you named after anyone?
No. My mom didnt want our names to announce who we were on applications so we all got regular smegular names. My name is of Irish origin so my yt folks customer service voice got ppl thinkin I have red hair. I mean....technically yes but its buried under my braids 🤣
2. When was the last time you cried?
At the end of The Marvels. The first end credit had me in real, actual tears. On a more serious note, I last cried before my grandma died. Yall, its fn hard being a caretaker. I was not built Ford Tuff.
3. Do you have kids?
*ahem* 🗣🗣 fuck no! 🤣🤣🤣 I dont even have nieces or nephews. Kids make me nervous and Im pretty sure they can smell the fear on me. 🤣

I played basketball and softball in HS. I love and miss softball all the time even though my big behind HATES running.

How long have you been writing?
Officially, since last years horny thanksgiving around 2 am. I just couldn't stand how full my brain felt and had to write it and post.
But technically, I've been writing fics in my brain for years. Like, I have an actual archive in my brain of all the fics i've mentally written since I was 9. I still remember them all. Yet I can't remember what I ate yesterday, funny huh.

(／≧ω＼) embarrassing but wtv, I'm a very nervous person when it comes to 1 on 1 conversation..? idk if I come off that way in my posts, but I've had my fair share of online friendships/ irl friendships that ended... not great. so instead of doing that again, I'd rather protect my peace and not even try. I luv talking to people through posts nd asks though!! I just get vv anxious and scared (?) when I have to talk to new people in private. I wish I could speak to people on 1 on 1, but it just gives me unnecessary anxiety that makes me want to throw up.

Why the name 'Ten'?
I spent the first 3 months on this app as a nameless person, I debated using my irl nickname, and realized my irls could find me just on that. But then I heard 'Ten - Dani Flow' and I loved it soooo much. In Spanish 'ten' means 'here' which I think is vv funny, since I come on here nd im just like 'here, take it.' when I post fics. Plus, it's also 3 letters like my irl nickname (⁀ ᗢ ⁀)
Why is that pic the banner of your pinned post?
I remember when I made my pinned, I knew there had to be like- a pic on top. but there wasn't any that called out to me that were 'aesthetic' -so I chose that picture because, growing up I always wanted to run a semi successful fanfic blog. thus 'I used to dream about times like these' its a lil funny thing that makes me laugh every time I see it, cause it doesn't match with the theme of my blog lol

forgive me for writing so much about tumblr but i have a lot of thoughts
here's the thing about tumblr. i've found it interesting how we continue to call our profiles our "blogs" even though they function differently to the common idea of a blog (like livejournal). but in a way, calling our profiles our blogs makes sense. they're our place to post things we've made or repost content we like. it's more personal than twitter, which has an "information" or "discourse" lens applied to it. the focus on twitter has increasingly been to encourage sharing of information (i.e news or opinions). tumblr's focus has always (afaict) been to encourage sharing of our creations, kinda lumping blogging in there as "self expression" or something to that effect. technically speaking, artists should be more at home on tumblr than on twitter.
but people using their blog as ONLY a blog (no reblogs, just their thoughts or creations - like a livejournal) are in the minority on this site, right? make no mistake, i follow tons of artists who use their blog in a very focused way, but mostly we're all reblogging other people's posts, putting their art on our blogs and riffing in the tags on people's jokes. it is very much a site of Content, Things To Share. the fact that we can blog on here almost feels oddly secondary. but, ok. tumblr is a site for people to post their creations/content, and said content finds an audience through being discovered or reblogged.
so why is it so damn hard to find anything?
like, ok, obviously we can do that. type words into the search bar and you will definitely find posts. but dont you often wonder why the hell some posts showed up in your search and others didnt?
you're telling me filtering searches by top posts of all time isnt showing me the post that has this exact string of text (+- punctuation), but is showing me posts that... have those words in them, scattered, and sometimes not even that exact word ("piss" vs "pissing")?
what about when you try to search for a word or phrase that you KNOW is on a blog in some post, but searching for it brings up NOTHING? i just had to deal with this when searching someone's blog for a specific post i had just seen on my dash - i can only imagine tumblr told me no such post existed because it wasnt tagged with that word.
and all of this feels so obviously wrong, right? even without tags, we should be able to search for words or phrases in a more reliable way on both the site and our blogs. i dont think im alone in the thought that the search function is almost useless - even if it gives me what im looking for sometimes, it can be a struggle, and mostly it just doesnt feel worth it. this is how we can keep ourselves in insular circles and struggle to break out of them. it is literally easier to do this than it is to find new shit.
so, yknow, staff isnt wrong when they say this:
tumblr does need growth, but not necessarily by attracting new users (though, idk, i wouldn't mind that). tumblr needs internal growth. this site is stuck in the early 2010s in a way that is baffling to me, and it has continuously failed to adapt to its userbase's needs in a way that honestly doesnt make sense, and when they do change something, it just ends up causing more strife between staff and users.
so, for example: tumblr needs money to keep functioning, obviously. the common practice is to have ads on the site. but oops, the ads suck and everyone hates them. ok, allow users the option to pay to get rid of ads. but oops, a lot of people dont want to give money to the site that continuously breaks itself (among many other complaints). ok, meet users in the middle and allow them to pay to advertise their stuff - this should be, like, the perfect mix of everything, right? being able to advertise your content on the content site? but oops, this is only a good option because finding new content is so goddamn hard that random people shoving their posts onto your dash is the only remaining viable option. when you have to rely on pure chance/luck for your posts to even be found, even when you do everything in your power to increase their visibility, you're not gonna want to stay here.
i feel like addressing the search function should be the staff's top priority before they implement anything else. we need to be able to find content on the content site. i think thats pretty obvious. once it works the way it already should have, then they can worry about what comes after. i think people feel this animosity with staff because we're struggling to continue to use this site while they struggle to find ways to get money out of us. i think if people felt they could actually use tumblr in the way it intuitively feels like it should be used, that kind of animosity would be more rare*. but until we get that, any change to the site is going to feel wrong.
fwiw though, i'm glad to see staff say that the site basically doesn't work. like. goddamn. took them long enough. i just hope (probably baselessly) that their acknowledgement of this issue will lead to some fixes that benefit the foundational usage of the site.
*yes, there is animosity towards staff for other reasons - like, yknow, how innocuous selfies of trans women get flagged as "mature" (among other things) - but that's an issue of culture/enforcement and not necessarily the raw function of the site, so i feel like it's best suited for a different post
tl:dr PLEASE FIX THE FUCKING SEARCH FUNCTION, IT NEVER SHOULD'VE BEEN ALLOWED TO BE THIS BAD AND I THINK ITS ISSUES HAVE BEEN A MAJOR REASON FOR TUMBLR'S STEADY DECLINE

too many times have i been writing drafts that i almost type "barry" instead of "smiley." so im tired of trying to not have to correct it every time because its too natural for me now, ive had him living rent free (like he could even afford rent-) in my brain for like, 2 or so years now.
so for those of you who dont know smiley, you go "who tf is smiley?" and i tell you, "he's this guy from ford fairlane heehoo <33"
those of you who dont know barry, you go, "who tf is barry?" and i tell you, "you do know him. he is also this guy from ford fairlane heehoo <33"
because i have to give my f/o so much lore and headcanons that his name is Barton and i call him barry for short, so when you ask "who tf is barry" or "who tf is smiley" youre asking the same question twice and you dont even realize it.
do you know how hard it is to correct him every time when i talk to people?? orhghfkdghfg-
maybe thats the only good thing about him being a very unnoticed character tho, i dont have very many people who know who smiley is to begin with, so he doesnt get brought up too often. .
. . but that also makes me sad because i love him. . 😔

i dont know if this one is as relevant, because i could be fine, but i know im not good with accents. Whatever accent he was supposed to have, the closest i could find to it was cockney so if he's technically not cockney, he sounded like it to me, so he's also called my cockney criminal and that's going to be how he talks to me forever.
tell me "nah, its a BURMING'AM ACCENT-" or "no its NEW YORK IDIOT-" bro idk accents, he sounded closest to cockney when i looked it up so thats what the f/o version of him is. maybe im right tho, idk, maybe YOURE the dumb one. Either way, if you tell me f/o barry isnt cockney, then youre definitely the dumb one. robert englund himself could tell me he was supposed to sound jamaican. that's cool for the movie robbie, but he's cockney to me. he's the cockney criminal f/o.

starting off with:
Isagi Yoichi as Mikado Ryuugamine
Bachira Meguru as Masaomi Kida
Nagi Seishiro as Anri Sononhara
So, to explain a bit:
Isagi and Bachira are them as based on colors: Mikado can be associated with blue or with a transparent color (as are the Dollars) and I think it's the same as Isagi (yes, I know that technically Isagi's color is green, I'm gonna ignore that, don't know how else to explain) both of them seem shy, maybe anxious people, but it becomes obvious that neither of them really is. They are both looking for something that can "change their reality", so I think Isagi's role makes sense (maybe.)
Bachira is yellow as Kida is yellow, both of them are easy going people, can be funny, can be very serious, they both hide their pasts pretty well (although their pasts are very different from one another). I think it fits.
About Nagi and Anri. We know that Anri considers herself as a parasite, and I think this can (faintly) be true with Nagi too. Now,I don't want to belittle the Nagi/Reo ship as a codependent, parasitic relationship (because it's not, not too much) but Nagi did attach himself to Reo only to then move to other people he considered stronger/better mates than Reo. Of course, Nagi and Anri are fundamentally difffrent in their personality, but yeah.
also, I'm not sure I explained well this idea, I don't know how to word rn, so Im sorry, if you have questions you can ask.
basically, they're the main trio
BUT
if Nagi is Anri, then Harima can be Reo, but if Harima is Reo idk who could be Seiji (if Nagi isn't Anri he could be Harima and Reo could be Seiji, but also if this is the case, then idk who could be Anri.)

Ego as Shinra Kishitani
Anri Teieri as Celty Sturluson
their dinamic is way off, i know, Shinra is madly in love with Celty, while Ego isn't (at all), but since Anri is basically the only important female character in Blue Lock, I think it could be fun if she were Celty.
just realized that the Reo/Nagi-as-Harima and Anri-as-Celty doesn't fit because of the plastic surgery stuff, but ye. I'll resolve it in another moment.
moving on again:
Rin Itoshi as Aoba Kuronoma
again, I'm not sure with this one, but Rin is the only character with a brother who is also an important character, I have to admit, I don't remember much about the Blue Squares, but I know that Aoba's brother was an important character, so I say that Rin is Aoba.
(I'm only at ep 3 of drrrr (I'm rewatching) so I don't know how Aoba and his brother's dynamic is, but I am sure that it is different than the Itoshi brothers (oh well)).
then:
Barou Shoei as Shizuo Heiwajima
[???] as Izaya Orihara
Hear me out:
Barou gives me a lot of Shizuo vibes: they're strong, their temper is similar, but the problem is that Barou's source of anger is Isagi (mostly)
Of course, if Isagi is Mikado, he cannot be also Izaya (I don't want him to be, he's very different from Izaya (but then again, right now I cannot think about a bllk character who is similar to him, sadly)) so this one is a very unsteady idea.
it might get deleted, as I am having troubles in identifying who could be Izaya
(this might be because I don't remember much about both bllk and drrr (rip))
Another idea that just went to my head:
Michael Kaiser as [maybe] Aoba Kuronoma
This is based on the fact that I hate Kaiser as much as I hate Aoba, so ik that it maybe doesn't make sense.

are you named after anyone? my govie name no but eve yes! it’s my great grandma’s. my dad’s family has a kind of idk policy where your first name is Yours but your middle name is from somebody else. so my siblings and cousins and i have Original Names (not original as in like mackayleigheey just original as in not somebody else’s already. bc believe me some of our names are BASIC) and our middle names are all from grandparents + further back.
when was the last time you cried? i’ve been on the verge of tears a LOOOOOT lately. and i shed like five tears last week. but like Really cried was like january 11th ish when i moved out. i’ve had this stuffed rabbit since i was ~2 and my parents bought a perfect duplicate like the second month id had it bc i was so attached that they were like. we can NOT lose it and not have a backup (despite this i called both the same name). so i packed up one rabbit to take with me to my first solo apartment as a Real Adult and left one in my childhood bedroom. and that fucked me up soooo bad lol like the idea of here’s kid eve and here’s adult eve diverging paths… anyways.

what sports do you play/have you played? soccer, taekwondo, dance (ballet and tap for ~10 years) if you count that, running, a little bit of figure skating but like bootleg (aka my dad teaching me or me teaching myself w second hand skates) uhhhh. i feel like im forgetting something. oh gymnastics when i was very small. they had a lot of like, free/reduced cost sports opportunities for poor kids in my city so i’ve done a lot of things lol. owned a lot of second/third/fourth hand sports equipment over the years. if you’re in america (i cannot guarantee this exists anywhere else) and you’re in need of expensive sports equipment for cheap (or you’re looking to donate old sports equipment!) find yourself a play it again sports they came THROUGH for me and my siblings as a bunch of athletic poor kids

what is your eye color? i Technically have heterochromia. but mostly green, i just have one solid brown stripe across my left eye

any talents? is it rude to say lots. lol. painting is probably my most “surprising” one. i can also still passably tap dance despite it being nearly 10 years since i stepped foot in a real studio. speed reading is another one; for some novels (shoutout pratchett for writing the world’s most readable and engaging novels) i was averaging like 550 wpm

dino soulmate au !! i don't have a specific trope in mind, but im curious to see which one you think fits him best :D
hii <3 hmm... technically dino was where i left off on my soulmate series (which is currently paused until i finish either sweet night (more likely) or under the sun (unlikely lol), then i'll try to finish out those fics before i start a new series), so i'll avoid what i've got planned for him there
(death tw, will tag the post w this as well)
ill play around w a lil bit of angst. reader has lost the soulmate that they were dating ever since they met in high school bc (insert cause of death here). not even minutes after he's dead, the name lee chan writes itself across the back of their hand. out of resentment for the universe immediately pairing you up right after you lose the love of your life, you resolve to keep the stupid name covered as much as you can and never meet this lee chan the universe is replacing your soulmate with.
elsewhere, chan realizes that there's a name written up his forearm that he didn't have before. a certain percentage of ppl are born w/o soulmates, and chan always thought he was one of them until now. he probably excitedly shows it off to his friends (only abt half of which have soulmates imo bc i like having a mixed bag there), and they promise to let him know if they happen to run into someone w his own name on them.
enter jeonghan, currently going through practicum to become a licensed therapist. enter, you on a summer day without a bandage on the back of your hand and his friend's name contrasting your skin in neat lettering. also enter the fact that jeonghan can't say/do anything about giving out your information because of violations, so he's stuck trying to figure out how he can lead you or chan to one another.
ultimately, he figures out a way: you mumble one day a week or two later that your favorite coffee shop is closed for renovations because you'd always treat yourself with something sweet from there, jeonghan asks if he can make a suggestion, and he pushes you toward one of chan's favorite places before immediately getting both seungkwan and vernon on the task of getting chan there. you end up sitting in the corner to kinda just people watch and chill post-therapy session and wait on your drink. your name gets called out, and you notice the way another guy's head snaps up immediately. you retreat to your corner with your drink, only to hear the name lee chan read out soon enough and you aren't taking any chances. you get up to leave, and immediately the guy tails you out and asks for you to stop before rolling his jacket sleeve back to reveal where your name is boldly written along his arm.
you tell him you aren't interested. he's immediately heartbroken by that kind of talk, but asks for your number anyway because he'd at least like to be your friend if nothing else. you give it to him after making it clear you aren't looking for a new lover, and then leave.
and idk insert more stuff abt you and chan getting closer until you finally open up and mention tht ur in grief counseling bc of ur soulmate dying and that you'd always hated chan (as a concept--you like him now as a person) because it wasn't even five minutes before his name appeared on you. he apologizes, you tell him not to bc its not his fault, and the two of you agree to take ur friendship slow.
insert chan feeling guilty as he falls for you. insert u feeling guiltier because you fell harder after that and you try to push him away again. fic culminates in you admitting to him or to a friend that you're terrified of losing another soulmate. maybe its w a family member of deceased soulmate who reassures you that he would want you to be happy before asking if it had been you, wouldn't you want him to move on one day? it ends w you crying on them and apologizing because you feel like ur betraying ur first soulmate, but accepting that its okay to move on.
its just a lot of talk abt grief and whatnot lol with a side of chan helping you heal because he wants to be there for you, romantic feelings or not. you confess to him that you've fallen for him and ask to take things slow now and the fic ends off with the two of you going to get coffee together or something

okay so im thinking about your 🏠 imodna au and i feel like they couldn’t meet ALL the bells hells as roommates at once (because that’d be a lot of roommates to get at once lol) so if you don’t mind here’s some other ways they could meet people i’d love to hear your thoughts on because your writing mind is genius
i feel like chet does actually have to be the roommate (or the first, i do agree they all end up moving in eventually) but like. he sees the ad for another roommate and he answers it. and they end up with this curmudgeonly old guy. and i feel like imogen especially keeps telling laudna she’s gonna kick him out (on days when chet is being especially frustrating) and laudna is just like, darling. first of all no you won’t, but second of all, what if he left and just died of old age? how would you feel then? and so imogen puts up with him (until she finally realizes that ofc she does like him, beneath it all)
imogen and laudna have great minds for design and what they want to do. what they don’t have? strength! so that’s where ashton comes in for sure. he’s not technically a construction worker, sure, but they’ll take any job you offer them and he’s a whole lot cheaper too (and shit they’re good at it? and actually beneath their tough demeanor they’re really cool and nice too)
i feel like FCG always has to come along with ashton so i guess they’re just a friend who maybe just tags along one day? maybe ashton mentions that they think FCG would like their new clients?
imogen is at a flea market one day (with laudna of course, laudna keeps her from getting too anxious in crowds) to get barter for some cheap decor and she sees fearne steal something. she wouldn’t care except she was just about to buy it—she chases fearne down and tries to convince fearne to give it to her or she’ll turn fearne in (once fearne realizes that imogen is not really a do-gooder/snitch type and in fact just really wants whatever she just stole, fearne instantly adores her. she does not give imogen the item, but helps her look around the flea market and get good deals on similar things (and sometimes steals things for imogen although imogen doesn’t encourage this))
maybe when they have a second bedroom open, orym is the next to take it? it’s been very interesting watching cr3 versus the fanon version of him because im so used to fanon that im like “oh yeah he moves into town all sad and lonely because of will’s death (and/or not being with Dorian anymore)” but im behind in cr3 and im at the point where they’re talking about the fact he’s actually the most normal/stable of them all and tbh that’s true (although he obviously is hiding all his shit) but for those reasons idk what fits for a good way to get orym into this au
so yeah some of these ideas make more sense than others in my brain so I’d love to hear your thoughts
I hope it’s okay that I decided to tweak your idea, im just avoiding homework and really love all your aus but am especially excited about this new one so my brain was like “ahh them all becoming roommates at once would be awesome but also a little chaotic, how could they all slowly be incorporated to the au over time?”
It's absolutely okay!
I actually think that Chetney is someone they hire to help them, ya know because he's good at working with wood and there's a shit ton of waterlogged floorboard in the house. And over time, you're so right, the two of them do grow begrudgingly fond of him to the point that when construction is almost over, they offer him the extra attic room.
Oh my god I love the idea of Ashton being a construction worker and FCG being their best friend that just goes everywhere that they do (I love the idea of modern au FCG being in a wheelchair and maybe Ashton learned construction and shit to help build ramps and lifts for them). And the same thing happens, construction is almost done and Imogen offers the two of them a room.
Orym is probably the only one who responds to the roommate ad. He doesn't know much about construction, but he needs a cheap place to live. And he's the connection between the witches and Fearne, when they find out that Orym and Fearne are friends, she moves in too. So everyone but Chetney is doubled up in rooms.

if you dislike the homestuck epilogues thats fine but its so despicable that every argument i see against it is "its just objectively bad and ive talked about it so much i wont go into it here" BITCH YOURE KINDA MISSING AN ARGUMENT, YK THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF MAKING ANY ASSERTION ABOUT THE QUALITY OF A PIECE OF ART????
i understand most of the arguments. some of the characters felt very out of character (like jane. that one was pretty wild to me) and it is alot darker and it does feel very different from homestuck but THATS THE POINT!!
when you start the prologue and it shows that huge list of ao3 tags? thats andrew hussie literally being like "hey this should be regarded with the same respect as fan fiction" they even said that the point of post canon is the audience can go wherever they want with the story!! including completely disregarding the epilogues!!!!!!!! it is andrew hussie saying "when it comes to the canon end of homestuck, i am no higher authority than you" and it is so sad that people havent fucking RUN with that. im about 300 pages into act 8 and its amazing!! i feel like the point of the epilogues is to get you, the reader who is desperately wanting a continuation of this story, to go look for one made by fellow fans! or better yet, make an ending specially tailored for you!! thats why it stresses that none of it is actually canon in the actual text! the epilogues are andrew hussie on their hands and knees fucking begging you to go buckwild and all anyone gets caught up on is fucking dog dick! GROW UP ITS NOT THAT BAD 😭 i feel like im going crazy i didnt like candy that much but thats more a me thing but meat truly was like an amazing ending for me but i understand that at its core it is not holding itself higher than anyone elses interpretation of what would happen at the end.
and i realize that that idea is kinda wasted with homestuck^2 cause it is technically officially done but idk what to tell you but, at least regarding how canon it is, its literally just a well funded fan continuation (and ive seen some things that its not even that well funded jfhskskakf). if you want a different continuation, find a new one or make your own. its so shitty seeing a bunch of people shit on the epilogues and homestuck^2 while not giving any alternatives.
anyway if you dont like the post canon stuff go read act 8 im not too far in but its amazing and even redeems some characters i thought i hated (looking at you gamzee)
