- she streams on twitch sometimes but she only starts showing her face when she becomes more confident I think? But even so I don’t think she would publicly come out until Japan hypothetically became more progressive regarding trans rights. People tend to forget that Japan isn’t a fantasy anime land and is a real country with problems, including lots of restrictions on lgbt people.

- she may be cute and girly, but she often gets into the adhd grindset where she doesn’t get up from her computer room for days. Her friends have to come remind her to eat and sleep sometimes. She can be a bit of a gremlin.

- I do think she eventually weans off of the puberty blockers and allows herself to start E, but when this happens (I’m not an endocrinologist so don’t go nuts idk if this happens) the residual testosterone in her system makes her height SHOOT UP. both her parents are very tall, and she grows to be like. 5’8. I do think her voice gets a little deeper, but she has that really pretty alto tgirl voice that’s sooooo comforting? She’s not a natural baritone by any means but she does freak out a little when her voice begins to crack. I think she would talk to tenko about this stuff and tenko would show her Nat leftatlondon and her music and how girls can be trans and have deeper voices and still be girls. Love her.

A random headcanon: Yeet and Killa end up kinda loaded by the end of s1 - they even have a house and everything! But I think transitioning to a life where they can just,,, be kids without having to fight to the death every day to put food on the table,,, is pretty difficult for the both of them. I think Yeet probably goes hunting for their food rather than buying it at the various markets around them - frugality is a habit at this point even if they're relatively well-off, and the satisfaction of having a successful hunt curbs his adrenaline cravings. How he manages to be stealthy with a skateboard for feet? Idk but I'll leave that up to your imagination.

General Opinion over said character: BELOVED. He is so cool and pretty,,, if I was a teen in the Forgotten Realms he would awaken the comphet in me I just know it.

Sexuality Headcanon: Shifts between aroallo and aroace for me depending on the day! Girl does not give a fuck about romance. Why would she when there is Killing and Maiming to be done

Gender Headcanon: She is soooooooo trans to me actually. Unbeatable tgirl swag nobody is doing it like her!!! She/they as well but with a heavy emphasis on the she.

A ship I have with said character: Don't really have one! She could pull anyone she wanted to though and I respect her so hard for that.

A BROTP I have with said character: I already said Yeet and Killa for Yeet's, so here, I think I'll go with Killa and Grant! I don't see them talked about a whole lot but I think their dynamic could be soooo interesting! Like you've been fighting for the majority of your life and all of a sudden this new kid gets shipped in and he's clearly not from anywhere you've ever been and he's wearing strange clothes but you can see the relief in his face when he spots you and your brother for the first time. And this kid is so clearly out of his depth and he's anxious and scared and he gets kinda sad sometimes but goddamnit, you want to see him get out of this alive. Even when his brain function seems to shut down around Yeet. Perhaps especially then, because it's nice to see someone besides you caring about your sibling for once.

A NOTP I have with said character: I'm pretty open to anything, but I definitely couldn't see Killa with any of the kiddads. Sorry!

A random headcanon: Killa is pretty good with hair! She always does Yeet's for him and helps him out on wash days - I imagine it's pretty hard to style your own hair without a mirror, so Killa and Yeet will help wash and style each other's. A small amount of Killa's portion of award money always goes toward hair products and cute little hair accessories like cuffs and beads and such - it's something that can remind them both that there's more to life than just the games. And, of course, it gives both of them a few more cool points, which is very important. Gotta slay while you slay, yk!

General Opinion over said character: CRIMINALLY underrated. I love her so much and I need to know more about her. Please please please bring her and Yeet back for s2 Anthony. Please it would be so cool,,,

we'll do transguy ryan first. in my mind the timeline is that he starts seriously learning ab queerness sometime in high school, super burying himself online + in books all the time. tries to be a tomboy, butch, but it just doesnt rly work. so he tells spencer one summer, hey, i think im a guy. goes through senior year knowing but not telling anyone else, except for maybe a couple more friends, spencers mom. buys new clothes and keeps his hair short and his head down til the summer after graduation; doesnt even tell brendon hes trans once brendon joins the band, brendons just like alright cool youre a guy with a girly voice whatev. he does come out to him soon enough since they get pretty close but for the most part fully intends on keeping stealth, esp as the band gets bigger, bigger, and it seriously turns into a ticket outta there.

he doesnt manage to start taking t until around mid 2006 and the costumes + makeup help a lot a lot in dealing w heavy dysphoria+general discomfort around that time and with being perceived ssooo much so fast. he got top surgery around 07 and cabin era was yes in part to make a new album but also he spent it recovering. he was able to mellow out a lot in 07/08 in big part thanks to finally being comfortable in his own body. yay💖 idk if he'd ever come out publicly or stay stealth forever. maybe? anyway

tgirl ryan is a different story entirely. it starts sort of the same - finding blogs & books about queerness about halfway through high school, and it all resonates way too deep, too much. instead of coming out, she refuses to think about it and refuses to talk about it and refuses to let comments from the public, from the press, from her friends and bandmates and pete about could be pretty for a girl, and are you sure youre not gay? get to her. again, the makeup & the costumes are solace. bending and experimenting and maybe, sometimes, seeing herself in the mirror, and still being able to snap back into place: say see, dont worry, its just for show. and she doesnt really mean to ever let it slip but its 2007, theyre supposed to be making a new album but it sort of feels like theyre making a new -- something else entirely, and, well, theyre doing a lot of drugs. she asks, do you think im a girl? sort of vaguely, the ceiling is spinning and everyones quiet, too quiet, she almost thinks none of them are there and shes gonna sit up to see shes alone in her room, until jon says: i dont know, i think thats up to you. she sits up, and everyones looking at her. not judging; mostly just curious, confused.

ryan tells them, yes, she likes her name. it can be a girls name, right? she already chose it once. so they still call her ryan but they start calling her her in private, because, she says, hell no, shes not coming out to everyone. not any time soon, at least.

things are way easier, way more comfortable, just like that, for a while. being out to even just a select few is a big weight off; its easy enough to tune out everyone else. but as time goes on it becomes more and more obvious, its definitely not sustainable for the long term.

so the band falls apart. so its just her and jon. they do a couple shows and the venues are way smaller, the attention is dying down, and thats when she tells him, okay, i want to come out.

its just one interview, she tries to keep it lowkey, telling everyone in her immediate circle first and telling them yes, yes, please, call me a woman in public. dont make me do all the work.

so thats how it happens. its not easy, by any means, but she starts estrogen and lets her hair grow out and curl, smiles hard when jon refers to her easily, correctly on stage, in front of everyone, and so maybe its all worth it; to be comfortable like this, in her own skin. and maybe it pays off in ways she didnt even think of, too -- someone in the audience, one night, passing up a trans flag for her to put on the mic stand.

Hi! I'm getting married (soonish, we haven't set a date yet) to a transfemme who is early in their transition. I met them when they were 18 and j a depressed anxious socially awkward nerd and over the past like ~year I've watched them blossom into themself (it's magical). But as a tme person sometimes i feel like I'm not fit to be the main person supporting them during this journey, bc they don't have any irl tgirl/transfem friends.

Do you have any suggestions? I'm always trying to learn more about transmisogyny. I took them to get an affirming haircut by a woman I met on Lex, I help with makeup. I've been trying to help them make friends bc they still do have like, a diagnosed social phobia lol. I think it'd be good if I WASNT the main support for this stuff in many ways. And they are like 10x as confident now that they present more authentically, but it's a process. And idk. I know them rly well and love them a lot but I worry sometimes that I'm somehow hurting them or doing the wrong thing.

I know I can't do everything for them (codependency lol) but I want to be the best partner I can be. I'm always asking what they want but sometimes it's like, j figuring out as we go bc it's all new. So what would YOU want from a tme partner ig? How do you assume I could be helpful, better, etc?

it sounds like you’re really on the right track for sure :) friends are extremely important especially for ppl in minority groups that make socializing harder, so trying to help to her get out of her shell and get to know other people is certainly a great idea; both because she deserves having something of a social group, and because like you say, trans friends can be really critical. i can’t speak with authority since I don’t know you & your situation, but it could definitely help with supporting her and whatnot; i value my transfem friends irl a lot and they’re wonderful with buoying my transition. im not sure id say you’re ‘not fit’ for it unless you dont want to be, since there’s a lot of ways to support and be there for someone’s transition. my femme is tme and she has been wonderful with my transition and helping me explore different gender stuff by helping me with womens clothes, sometimes a little makeup, and her support when im mixing things up with my presentation. she’s happy to change and play with her vocab too; when i realized i like being called pretty from time to time now she works it into when she’s teasing me or being sweet, things like that.

as far as other things id want to see in a tme partner, the willingness to look at transmisogyny and learn about it and work it over is pretty important to me; but it sounds like you’re already working on this, so just keep your mind open with a clear heart. if you make a mistake, trust that you can learn from it and move on. id also say to let her be the one to define and speak about her transition and her past as well, and not to get tripped up on gender too much; i had an ex who was a lesbian and hated hearing me talk about my past as a boy. was very unfortunate. so keep an open mind and if you don’t understand something or you’d like to understand more, try not to be too afraid to ask; I can’t speak for her exactly, but I can say i really don’t mind getting asked about gender stuff or transmisogyny since it shows that someone cares and also gives me a chance to make sure we’re on the same page. and also, while this may be a little risqué, so long as she’s not ace or something id think about making sure you touch and love on her body holistically. a lot of trans women don’t get touched like how cis and other women do, so don’t be afraid to get a little handsy if she doesn’t mind it. having our bodies be actively wanted (touching sides, thighs, etc) can be really very wonderful when we’re taught that we’re repulsive in every way that matters.

so tl;dr: getting her more friends is a great idea for a milieu of reasons! don’t walk on eggshells with transmisogyny too much, just keep an open mind and maybe think about biases sometimes but don’t let it get to your beat and beat you up over it. but I think your concern sounds like it might be a sign that you care and are gonna try, and if that’s the case then approach any issues that come up from an angle of love and i think it should buff out. anyone wanna chime in in the replies?

His italian accent isnt funny anymore, now its almost like a movie villain, he meets a guy from jersey who killed a guy when he was young and his heart just broke and he never was the same, and he just never recovered. guisseppe tries to become his friend and maybe show him he can go on, guiseppe finds his new friend has hung himself. and theres a heartbreaking scene where guisseppe

Bird society is utterly brutal in the great court, and for no reaason, because theyre seagulls, but he was the one who save Lobster after he watched every one of his family die screaming and he doesnt know how he escaped but he doesnt remember his name and it drives him to further extremes in his puppe shows

a woman who essentially introduces the gay motorcyclists as they end up bickering during a threeway with her and she storms out, leaving the two alone to realize they have a lot in common, she comes back for like, event episodes and her character is that shes a slut who is loving life and building a "townname museaum' and when she shows up shell take something that looks vaguely cool or historical, then its revealed she crawls into some old, moss covered building thats collapsing into the sea and shes super fucking weird and there are just piles of what look like some kind of crustacean or shellfish that i guess she finds around here or something. she never stops living there, even after she becomes mayor after an attack ad called her mayor slut backfires and everyone hates that guy now and mayor slut who lives in an underwater hovel with some kind of waterproof furniture, that bitch might just put this shithole on the map and she fucking does. she has a tgirl slam piece who is just sitting on her phone in the background of every scene the mayors in

theres a secret assasin, laying low and trying to plan his next move when he watches a clown die and spends the episode in angsty despair after watching a clown die and doing nothing, just to protect himself, he loved clowns. the next day he sees the clown, no one acts weird, but he was dead, broken spine dead. but he cant say anything, because he cant be found out, but this clown just dies sometimes and he just looks away, but the clown is in every shot the assassins in, just looming and in every other shot the clown is a genuinely delightful clown, but to the assassin who has seen this event, its maybe the devil, maybe the grim reaper, or just an evil spirit, he unravels and unveils himself at a childrens birthday party and holds a very real gun to the clowns head as he does a silly face and funky move and everyone laughs as this goth dweeb freaks out and fires the water pistol and the clows eyes fix an iron gaze on the assassin, peircing him

the writing around steph is such an enigma...i can’t be the only one who thought she didn’t, like. deserve to be r*bin or b*tgirl? at least not the way they happened? both times just came off like the narrative rewarding her for doing crappy things and it irks me just as much as making her ‘the girlfriend’ in r*birth. they could’ve done way better with it, idk how fans of her are so chill with it bc you’re legitimately the first person i’ve seen speak out on her

To be honest, I wouldn’t touch Steph’s Batgirl run with a ten-foot-pole, so I can’t comment on it all, except to say that I’ve absolutely agreed about how it came across from the minute I heard it was happening. That the narrative then went out of its way to make Tim seem like the bad guy in their relationship (after she hired! people! to attack him!) only reaffirmed my desire to stay away from it forever.

As for her time in the Robin suit...I agree that her behavior there was crappy, but I also think that was intentional. Like, it was always so obvious to me that the whole thing was a publicity stunt, and that Steph was being shown as an undeserving replacement so people wouldn’t complain when Tim got his job back. So it doesn’t bother me nearly as much, though I do still skip that entire storyarc when I do my re-reads.
