I'll say that for as much as I don't care to ~debate~ about the Cloud/Tifa/Aerith love triangle, I think some people tend to act like the love triangle existing at all is like, some sort of mistake and not a core component of the narrative.

i knew he was popular but watching people from different online communities pay their respects to techno makes my heart so soft. he really did reach so many people in the short time he was given. technoblade will never die.

this is in no way in defense of ariana grande’s ex husband or whatever bc idk anything but between this and joe alwyn, everyone acts like the only reason fame could interfere in a relationship is if the guys masculinity is too fragile to handle someone being more important than them. like that could be true but like having to take security everywhere you go, even though it is necessary, is a very big demand and definitely changes the kind of life that you live
like, let’s not pretend that being the significant partner of a very famous person doesn’t require you to live a certain kind of life that might not work for somebody.

i feel like gen z need to be sat down and explicitly told it is ABSOLUTELY OK to say the wrong thing and do the wrong thing sometimes. growing up actually means fucking up, and if you spend your whole life paranoid of being ‘problematic’ then you are legitimately going to drive yourself into an anxiety induced meltdown. watching or reading ‘problematic’ media does not make you a bad person, and tbfh sometimes watching or reading said media (provided you keep your analytical brain switched on) is a good thing to do. because just as we learn by seeing what’s right to do, we also learn by seeing what’s not right to do.
and without wishing to sound horrendously horrendously ‘i am in my mid twenties’, you don’t need to let the entire world know what you’re watching and reading. you actually don’t need to let the entire world know a damn thing about you, and i feel like a lot of the anxiety i see from gen-z online is this terror of being called problematic precisely because the boundaries for oversharing are next to non-existent. growing and changing and learning are a fundamental part of being a teenager, and you will say and do ‘problematic’ shit which will make you cringe in your twenties, and that’s absolutely ok because you will have learned from it.

I'm not even thinking about them killing troy bc I just cannot let myself have THAT little faith in these writers bc it'll make me spiral and worry that the entirety of 8b will be shit despite the banger trailers like I know the show has been questionable for the last however long but killing troy in these eps would be another level of insanity to me

it is not lost on me that bad has been the one lately going around and taking care of the other eggs when it's been late and no one has been on to take care of them. I haven't been watching his streams so I'm not sure what he says about it when he goes, but I can only imagine the stress he has. one of the few single parents on the server, doing everything on his own to take care of dapper, and then taking the incentive to take care of the others as well. because what other option is there? sit there and watch them die? after three of their siblings have?
not on his watch.

what if Vecna thinks he's so special and unique but he's really just what the middle animorphs stage of what a guy turning into a demogorgon looks like and demogorgons are just the previous generation's Vecnas because the Mind Flayer has been using random sociopaths as his pawns all through history

Unironically if you reblog or write posts making fun of Travis McElroy (note I say 'making fun', not 'genuinely critiquing behavior') please please tag it or just block me.
The level of vitriol directed solely towards him vs his brothers is weird as fuck. Most of the time mocking posts aren't even referencing something he's actually said or done; they attribute some 'cringey' bullshit to him like he's a character ('cringe' frequently centering on him being GNC, bc of course it is). And anytime I've seen anyone try to point this fixation out, they get dozens or hundreds of "he isn't going to fuck you", "lol hes a celeb it doesnt matter", "he deserves it" comments.
The most nihilism-inducing part is seeing how once the cyberbully circlejerk decides you're cringey Thats It, there's no escaping. I've seen this pattern play out over and over again across hundreds of fandoms and content creators (and in middle school, lmao) and I still have no idea how to make it stop. Everything you do is either stupid, embarassing, or a manipulative attempt to change people's minds about your inherently stupid and embarassing nature. Every mistake shows your innate dickishness and every success is because of someone else. Anyone who defends you is either not woke enough to your inherent suckiness, or doing it for self-centered reasons.
If you read this and are like. "Lmao it's cringey how much op cares, time to comment and remind them this target deserves it" consider: just block me and save us both a minute of time on this cold, decrepit earth. Go bake a mug cake or call your sibling or do something vaguely constructive.
