What’s your favorite Twst event of ALL TIME?

I like Harveston

this truly is the hardest question. :( but after much consideration, I think Endless Halloween Night wins out for me, because it's nonstop Characters Being Silly the whole way through. the whole thing is just lots of these little dorks having the most ridiculous interactions, which is always my favorite! and of course the big twist is SO delightfully stupid and doubles down SO hard that it becomes AMAZING and I 100% unironically adore it. AND it's Halloween! everyone is in their cute little costumes and having a spooky adventure! it's great!

however, I am ALSO a big fan of the Harveston event! how can I not be! everyone is wearing comfy winter outfits and getting along really weirdly well with Epel's grandma and he's getting a little worried about that! my terrible loud son sews a plush squirrel and then gives it a silly little nickname and refuses to leave it behind when it breaks! the ending shot with the sled! I LOVE IT.

this beautiful idiot went to live with someone else and honestly, both of our QOL are much better HAHA

#she just could not vibe with a house full of other animals #her anxiety manifested in insatiably eating everything #not just food #cardboard plastic you name it #i had to lock cupboards and put books on the bin so she couldnt open it and rummage through it #she screamed for food constantly #she innappropriately toileted constantly #to the point where i bought two automatic litter trays so they were always spotless in case that was the issue #she was medicated and given daily enrichment #but nope #anyway after over a year of kind of hating our life together #i bit the bullet and rehomed her #her food obsession has disappered and besides peeing on their bathmat once #she has used the litter tray without issue #we make a commitment to our pets yall #but do not force yourself to keep them if you are both miserable #i wish i was brave enough to have done this sooner #anyway #rehoming is not the devil #and you can do it responsibly #bye ferg i'm sorry to say i don't miss you #but i'm so glad you're finally happy #fergie #the cat edition

I've been reading the Percy Jackson books for the first time over the past two weeks! Just finished "The Battle of the Labyrinth" last night (which btw is my favorite of the series so far!!)

I have now gained a new obsession but it might not be what you think

Rhaenyra Targaryen's son took the throne as Aegon III Targaryen in 131 AC. [...]. She once terrified her granddaughter by suggesting she slit Aegon's throat. Since Alicent refused to be reconciled, Ser Tyland Lannister, the Hand of the King, ordered her confined to Maegor's Holdfast.

Alicent remained in her chambers for the last year of her life. Her only company was her septa, serving girls, and guards. [...] She died in 133 AC, during the outbreak of the Winter Fever. (x)

In early 133 AC, when it was discovered that Winter Fever had broken out across the city and the realm, Tyland ordered the gates of the city and the Red Keep closed, to prevent the disease from spreading. But as the Winter Fever was nearing its end, Tyland himself fell ill. He died after only two days, in the presence of Septon Eustace and King Aegon III, who took his hand as Tyland took his last breath.

Tyland is not remembered fondly, partly due to his physical appearance after being tortured and partly due to his actions during the Dance of the Dragons. Some blacks hated him for having urged King Aegon II Targaryen to put Aegon the Younger to death and some greens hated him for serving Aegon III faithfully in the aftermath of the war. (x)
