🌳 What does your OC do when they see others upset or in pain? An upset friend? A stranger?
I think Audrey would be more responsive to a stranger upset/in pain than if it was her friend. She already hates approaching others, but with her friends she has the reassurance that there's others that can support them, so she can be like "oh heyyy... what's wrong ?" while texting another friend about the situation. Obviously if the situation seemed more dire then she would react more urgently. But ultimately she knows what she can and can't help with so she's quick to call out for extra help. She doesn't like holding that much responsibility.
Morgan minds their business if a stranger seems distressed (unless, it's like, actually super urgent, then Morgan wouldn't ignore them, lol) but when a friend is upset, Morgan is ready to help them through whatever stimulant they want, a pair of listening ears, and words of reassurance. Morgan hates seeing their friends in a bad place, and so goes the quickest route in making them feel better.

People Watcher Seymour - silly HC/story
This is me projecting onto Seymour, but I keep imagining Seymour wanting to passively hang out with Audrey and or people watch.
He feels ashamed of his socially unacceptable interest. It could easily be called stalker-ish, but simply watching people and getting second-hand enjoyment is easier on his anxiety than getting involved.
Whenever Audrey tells Seymour about her date plans with Orin, he always has “could I come along?” on the tip of his tongue. He loves Audrey, he wants to look at her and listen to her talk, and what better way than being an onlooker to her outings. Orin would kill him for being a distant third wheel, though, and plus, it’s a date. No one wants a random friend tagging along. Still, Seymour feels the pull to spend time with her and Orin, and when he holds his tongue and watches them leave the shop, his chest feels heavy and hollow.
The few times he’s seen Orin has always been distant, like he is the silent audience who can’t interact with characters. The only time Orin payed him attention was when he grabbed Seymour by his collar and held him against the wall, making his heels lift from the ground. His mouth moved faster than Seymour could understand. He nodded until Orin was satisfied and strutted out the door with Audrey.
Seymour has always had a fascination in Orin and admired aspects of him, such as his weird power walk everywhere and his charisma that changed on a dime, but feeling his heart race after that interaction was new. It made him feel light headed and tingly with adrenaline. He is not attracted to Orin and wouldn’t date him, he is fairly sure of that, but that brush with fire was exhilarating. Orin’s abusiveness was the thing he worried the most about. Seymour’s not sure what he would do if he saw what Orin does to Audrey when they aren’t in the store.
The prospect of tagging along with Audrey and Orin on one of their not-so-date-centric outings stuck in his mind while he closed up the shop, conjuring up scenarios where he could smile to himself how gorgeous Audrey’s hair looks when she looks down at a menu, or how Orin checks his teeth in reflective surfaces when he thinks no one is looking. It made Seymour blush to realize how badly he wanted to see both at their most earnest of selves; to see them do the silly things they do when no one is around. Especially Orin, he was sure Orin had a side of him outside of the tough greaser shtick.
Any how, none of that will ever happen. He’ll always be the meek coworker of Audrey and random-nobody to Orin who will never be invited to hang out with them.
I think Audrey would interpret it as “Seymour wants to tag along as a friend” thing and she would try to include him in conversations, but everytime she does that it takes Seymour out of his zone and he struggles to make any conversation.
Seymour surely feels inner conflict over knowing Audrey doesn’t quite understand that he doesn’t wanna be involved, he just wants to watch… (kinda creepily. He thinks he is creepy at least).
“I am so sorry, Audrey, you must think I am a creep. I understand if you think I am. I’ll leave if you want me to-“ And so on.
And Orin likely hates Seymour and slapped him for trying to make moves on his girl.
Seymour (to save his ass) admits he is just deeply interested in Orin. That’s why he focused all his attention on Orin whenever Audrey leaves to go to the bathroom. That likely throws Orin for a loop.
Before this admission, Orin would side eyes him briefly when he caught seymour staring. Soon it’s too much and he snaps “what! You got a problem, kid? Stop staring and mind your own business.” To which seymour would apologize and fiddle with the napkin dispenser, this time trying to be sneakier by sneaking looks at Orin or watching his ghostly reflection in the metal napkin holder or the mirror of the window.
—> later on Orin likely thinks Seymour is gay and has a crush on him. Orin is kind of a homophobic gay/bi to me so he laughs at Seymour and fucks with him.
“You one of those voyerists, ain’t ya?”
“What? No-“
“I betcha ya imagine me porking your coworker?” He sneers with a jab to Seymour’s chest.
With enough blabbering and earnest confessions, Seymour gets across that he is just a socially awkward guy who has strong fixations on people and gets enjoyment from indulging in these harmless yet borderline creepy interests. And also he does have a platonic interest in Orin’s mannerisms and attractive characteristics. Aka, what Orin understands as: “… so you’re a what? A voyerist who likes watching people being happy?”
(((I kinda wanna actually write out shit for this, as in I write a fic, but I am not a writer s idk if I’ll do that))).
