So you flee. Not in cowardice—you are not human enough for cowardice, you have always known this—but for the most mechanical thought of self-preservation. You flee and it follows, and some sinking feeling knows that the only thing the two of you feel is hunger.

You were never human, nor did you truly seek to protect anything but yourself. You will never know peace, for you were nothing more than a leftover of war.

It hardly matters. You were created by humans to die—and you die like the machine you are.

i like to think once yosuke gets over the whole undead roommate thing he starts to feel bad for leaving yu at home all day. (like a pet dog.....) so at some point he invites chie and yukiko over. maybe it’s a study session. but at first yukiko can’t make it so it’s just chie. yosuke tells yu to stay put in the room since chie is scared of ghosts (just like yosuke she’ll never admit it though lol). chie says that she and yukiko have been working on a new recipe and offers to cook which yosuke shoots down Very quickly, offering to cook himself, since a "friend" of his has been teaching him-- he very conveniently leaves out the whole undead roommate thing. but when he’s preparing the food he accidentally cuts his finger. yu forgets what he’s told and rushes through the walls into the kitchen scaring chie on accident.

yosuke: OW shit

yu: (phasing through the wall) yosuke! are you ok?

chie: yosuke! are youuuuuuUUUUAAAAAAAGGGGGHHHHHHHHH

yukiko, the occult lover, is unable to see/hear ghosts… but when she hears abt "OHHH HANAMURAS APT IS HAUNTED ITS SO SCARY ITS AWFUL!!! i mean the ghost didnt kill me or anything he was actually pretty polite but its AWFUL!!!!!!" from chie, she gets sooo excited and begs yosuke to invite her over (for the ghost obviously not for yosuke. which is a bit of a blow to his ego LOL). and she comes in with a ouija board so she can talk to yu

yukiko: so. where is it?

yosuke: his name is yu. damn, not even a hello.

yukiko: well, where is he?

yosuke: …right over there.

yu tries to play along bc he thinks its fun, to yosukes exasperation. however he has trouble staying solid for very long so it takes foreverrrrr. but basically i think yu and yukiko writing each other notes to communicate like point blank pen pals would be cute… also when the others are around who can hear yu, playing telephone with what he says to yukiko and fucking it up (on accident OR on purpose) would be rly funny

lowkey makes me sad when people are scared to write bc they think their fics won’t get recognized bc the series/characters aren’t popular or bc they think their shit might end up in the wrong hands and somebody will make fun of them for it not being perfect. (I know how the girls get down on here). Reminder that popular characters/shows ≠ best or even a good writer. Hell, it’s some people who’s writing is only contingent upon what’s hot at the moment. Also, your first story is supposed to be bad!! Stop letting people tell you otherwise. You’re allowed to grow and mess up. You’re very much valid for wanting people to read/reblog. Nobody wants to create into a void (don’t let nobody gaslight you either). But don’t forget to write for joy and not to be liked.

#amphibiuary2023 #hoo boy I put this one off for so long because I started it and was like #ehhhh this is not as fun as I was expecting lol #still had fun! just not my favorite thing to do #which is a good thing!#because I bought this at work a few years (!) ago and I keep having to stop myself from buying more ceramaic figures #every time we get more in because they are SO CUTE but I DON'T NEED THEM #and I think actually painting this one has cured me of that desire lol #this is a flattering angle and doesn't show his flaws lol #I put some of that snow texture paint on the back intending it to look like toad skin but it looks more like he is diseased #also! he lights up! but! when you turn the light on you can see all the poorly done brush strokes D: so the light will stay off :)#oh shoot I just remembered I meant to do a gloss top coat oh well I'll get to that later have a matte frogge
