so i went to reblog some fanart earlier and started to tag it #oh this is. incredible actually, and then paused and thought, @self why the 'actually.' what is that adverb conveying. and i contemplated it for a bit, and finally concluded: well, shit. it's reflexive deprecation.
the thing is, deprecation is my starting position pretty much always, and that's a problem in itself, but mostly my problem; but when you're talking abt somebody else's work, and you start backing defensively away from imagined negativity before anyone's even actually voiced any? you may think you're playing bodyguard, but in reality you're the vanguard of the assault, opening a wedge for enemy forces to strike.
i was talking a couple of weeks ago abt seeing ppl tag that kristin sue lucas name-multiplied-by-one post with tags like 'this is art To Me' vel sim., and honestly i think it's a similar sort of reflex—i think exposure to the tumblr vernacular often leads people (very much including me!) to produce turns of phrase like this, that ultimately serve to convey roughly
'i, a clever girlblogger,¹ am, yeah, engaging with this frivolous hai pollai²-coded material; but my relationship to it, unlike that of most she-ple, is Intellectual and Analytical and Examined! and to make that clear, i'll be dropping in these little verbal particles from time to time, in order to distinguish my own, elevated examination of the subject from the state of risible naivete³ i'm implicitly ascribing to the other, more ordinary audience members i'm conjuring up only to instantly put down—but like, it's fine, i'm a free-and-easy girlblogger(TM), so you can't think i'd ever deliberately propagate establishmentarian prejudices! never mind the effect my rhetoric might subconsciously be having, on me or on anyone else…'
and i think this framing is worth squinting at, and worth attempting to excise from one's speech and from one's mindset, because when you get right down to it? it's just yet another insidious manifestation of respectability politics, that's gotten people to adopt it via the cuckoo-chick strategy of positioning itself as cutesy tumblr idiolect.

EA Beard fixes, ChinStrap & BeardCurlyTight
These two EA beards have gaps when male Sims with feminine frames wear them, so I did my best to fix them!
Each package contains an override for the original beard, limiting it to masculine frames only, plus an edited version for feminine frames only. The ChinStrap contains no mesh (it’s flat to the face), while the BeardCurlyTight has a new mesh I edited. They both use the EA textures.
Because facial hair is locked to male Sims (of any frame), only male Sims can use these. If you want this for your female Sims, check out my Skin Detail versions, V1 (swapped EA mesh) and V2 (edited mesh).

new day, new dracula, new analysis of the female gothic!
i really want to talk about jonathan's identification with the long-lost women of this castle. when he finds what he thinks of as 'ladies' chambers', he starts imagining them more concretely, and relates to them specifically as women left behind by war, knowing that there is peril "out there" beyond the castle and they are powerless to stop it. Really this seems like a projection of jonathan's own situation; he too is powerless to prevent the danger that threatens him. both he and the hypothetical women fear death—the women know that if their men die and fail, the war will come to them and the castle will be beseiged or taken, while jonathan knows that the horror he fears is *already* inside the castle and the reason it hasn't killed him yet is known only to it.
about the female gothic again: the concerns of the female gothic are largely, the supernatural used to express anxieties about women's status. women being too emotional, too rational, threats to their wellbeing, inheritance, etc, all these show up. the end goal of a woman in the Gothic, if it's meant to have a good ending, is generally that she ends up more well-suited to her life (of marriage, as a wife, as someone who well fulfills the course of what a woman's life should look like).
jonathan, as i mentioned before, is here just before he gets married, a particularly perilous point in the life of a gothic heroine. Once marriage is assured, presumably a good spouse will protect the gothic heroine from any threats, and spousal authority will supersede the villainous/supernatural masculine authority. before marriage, however, the heroine is absolutely subject to said villainous masculine authority. we see jonathan suffering from this authority; dracula controls everything (keeping him up at night, making him sleep during the day, controlling where he goes, what information leaves and enters the castle, etc).
we also have some actual women to talk about the female gothic with! the "brides" (i saw a really interesting theory that two of these women are actually dracula's daughters) have finally appeared, and we see that they too are subject to dracula's authority. as supernatural/villainous figures, however, they seek to defy it, acting outside of prescribed female ways by circumventing Dracula's orders (as Jonathan himself just did). we see this a lot in female gothic places, where the supernatural forces are linked with 'bad women', aka women who fail to be feminine in some way or another. one example is the mad wife from Jane Eyre; the previous wife of the male love interest, she is villainous because she suffers from some kind of mental instability that caused her to fail to act the part of a good housewife—thus she becomes the ghost haunting the attic rather than, say, a rival for the love interest's affections.
the inclusion of an infant for the three women to eat, besides being reminiscent of antisemitic blood libel, also goes with this 'bad femininity' aspect of the female gothic. rather than acting maternally, and caring for a child, they do the exact opposite. i think the same principle is in place in the way they refer to their attempts to eat from jonathan as 'kisses'; rather than amorous kisses, as jonathan might expect from a young woman (see his initial expectation of a scandalous chance encounter with some pretty ladies), they mean to injure him and possibly kill him. they frame their supernatural schemes within the same lines as a 'bad' female action (kissing etc outside of marriage is, of course, a no-no).
dracula's response to the encounter is also very much the female gothic; the masculine authority intervenes, reasserting his authority over both the other supernatural and over the non-supernatural protagonist, in a way that tinges his domination of the protagonist with affection. he even undresses jonathan before bed after jonathan swoons—dracula's authority has gone so far as to perform simple actions for jonathan when dracula decides they need to be done and jonathan can't/won't do them. it's absolutely a violation that crosses several boundaries, which in this genre is the point. jonathan's ability to keep himself calm AND his ability to make his own decisions, and control his own life, is fast eroding.

re: sims 4 high school pack, i think(?) there's some speculation that they might add sexual orientations with the pack and i don't know how i feel about it. (TE/RFs & other trans/phobes get tf away from me & my posts)
i just can't think of a way to implement that in the game while being respectful to non-binary sims. i mean, the fact that you always have to choose between male or female still, is already problematic anyway. if they fixed that and made it like "woman", "man", "non-binary", "custom label" or something, that would be cool.
but i still can't think of how they could create a sexuality system that works for everybody. like, if your sim is a gay man but then you have a sim that's "custom gender: demiboy", and a sim that's "custom gender: demigirl" how would the game be able to tell this gay man can feel attraction to the first sim but not the second one. and no way can they just make a list with all the genders, that's literally impossible.
also, idk if anybody else is having this problem, but i played with this enby sim and i did custom pronouns and i chose "male" bc in the game that basically just means "no breasts". but the custom pronouns only worked sometimes, and sometimes it would just default back to "he/him". i changed the pronouns from custom to "they/them" but still the same issue🙄
also, kind of unrelated, but my sims that are recognized as "male" by the game but have a ""feminine"" frame cannot wear nail polish. it just doesn't even show up for them,,,, why
idk. i don't actually think they will add sexualities, i think whatever they said about finding your identity has to do with a new system to customize your sim's personality, i imagine similar to the lifestyles from snowy escape.
i do think, theoretically, it would be cool to give your sim a sexuality label and play figuring yourself out type stories... but yeah, i'm just worried whatever system they'd come up with wouldn't be inclusive for everybody, and would also probably have bugs. so maybe one's sim's sexuality is better left in one's imagination. idk. maybe people who are smarter than me have ideas on how to implement this successfully. i'm just thinking my little thoughts over here

It's hard to identify everything in the photos, and I don't have access to better photos to write out all the script (I don't have the drive space to redownload Sims and my mods…), but I can point out some of the larger thematic elements and always amend this or remake it when I get the chance—

FLOWERS
Flowers often carry the same meaning via tattoos as they do when creating arrangements, with some holding a dual meaning in the context of crime and criminality. For example, Roses may often be used to represent love/romance, but may also be used to signify the number of people one has killed in their line of work. For Valeriya, it's a mix of both. Those cradling the skull on her thigh are meant to serve as reminders of her career, of the very thing keeping her alive, and those scattered about as filler are hints are her love lost (and her personal romanticism; she still holds him very deeply and dreams of being able to find a love like that again, though she'd never admit it).
On the other hand, the Water Lilies and Peonies (at least, I believe they're meant to be those flowers) are symbols of good fortune and rebirth. Transformative blossoms that commemorate the fact she has been given the chance, through Mikhail, to begin again and become something larger than she once was.
NAUTICAL THEMES
The fuller nautical piece is rather interesting in its meaning. Ships, particularly those fully rigged or at full sail, often come to represent a sailor returning home, or having found direction toward a new place they consider home. However, beyond the heart framing, a noose lingers. This addition, while first appearing to just be some decorative rope, is a grim reminder of looming mortality and the feeling of being trapped by one's circumstances. For Val, it's a reminder to herself that while she has been granted the privileges she has, it's come at the cost of never being able to live a truly normal life again.
Likewise, the anchor on her right arm is a grounding symbol. She's dedicated herself to this life, and it's where she will remain.
WEAPONS
There is only one explicit weapon, though for brevity we will count the finger guns here.
The bleeding dagger stabbing through the rose carries a triple meaning: She has murdered someone (particularly in proximity; she is not just a sniper), she has murdered the legacy of her love (through her work; she has destroyed any chances at normality, and feels she has betrayed her past love for falling into such a life), and she is more than prepared to face challenges head-on (damned be the consequence).
While mostly an aesthetic choice, the finger gun on Valeriya's ribs is symbolic in its own way. Guns in of themselves, and in tattoos, are symbols of power and protection. They are also Valeriya's preferred weapon choice. However, what differs here is that this piece is not an actual firearm, but feminine hands creating the shape (and maintaining a proper, steady grip). For Valeriya, this is symbolic of her survival. Prior to joining Mikhail's organization, she fought tooth and nail to survive (her years in the orphanage were abysmal, and things did not get easier on the streets). It's meant to signify that, at the end of the day, no weapon is responsible for her survival—she is.
ANIMALS
Valeriya has a set of matching birds on her calves. They appear to be doves, which are often a symbol of peace, love, and purity. Facing each other, they are tied together; a proper pair. This was one of the first pieces she'd received, and it's symbolic of her and her past love. A small reminder of the person she'd used to be.

nakes in of themselves are very charged symbols—they may represent a journey of transformation and healing, or a journey of losing one's self and betraying their core ideals. The fact it is hissing suggests overwhelming feelings (anger, pain, etc.), and an innate need to defend itself against perceived threats. For Valeriya, it's precisely that; a true symbol of herself and of the vicious cycle she has found herself in.
Valeriya's central back piece is an interesting one. The bird (falcon, eagle, something with talons—) is symbolic of power, focus, and determination; a symbol of freedom at the hands of the hunter, more or less. It is also an important symbol in Russian culture and history. While the country doesn't have an official bird, the official emblem of the government prior to the downfall of the monarchy was the double-headed eagle. Similarly, during the Soviet Union's reign, the paragon falcon was a strong symbol of the country's government. It's a symbol of Valeriya's home, regardless of how detached from it she's truly become. The fact it is being shot down by an arrow can be symbolic of feeling that, by losing her love or by other means, she has lost her truest sense of home. It could also be symbolic of the fact it was her nation's government that has failed her, as it has failed countless others. Being a child in the foster care system, she was penalized for the abuses she faces; penalized when she defended herself and fought back against it.

Game 224 - Final Fantasy XIV by Square Enix
What did I think it was at first? This is a review of of the critically acclaimed MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV, which includes a free trial that includes the entirety of "A Realm Reborn" AND the award-winning "Heavensward" expansion up to level 60 with no restrictions on playtime. FFXIV's newest expansion, "Endwalker", is out now.
Now that this is out of the way...
A year ago, my husband was really into this game and I wanted to try it so we could play together. I hated it so much I quit within the first hour, but they convinced me to try again a few weeks later. And now, it's been a year and I just finished the main plot of the latest expansion. I'm going to try to very gently sketch out the plot and avoid major spoilers for Endwalker, but I may accidentally spoil other expansions as it's all a blur at this point.
How was the character creator? You must assign your character as male or female, but you can choose from a multitude of classes (some combat, some not), races, appearance options, and outfit choices. I chose to play as a male Viera, and I have two classes at the level cap - one is dancer, and one is white mage. I'm working on lancer now!
I tend to prefer more feminine outfits on my bunny boy, and there are quite a few I can choose from! Some, however, can't be worn on a masculine frame which is a total downer.
I did enjoy that I could get married in the game! I married my RL spouse and it's the only wedding we got to have because of Covid. The perks are nice and it was a fun way to get my friends together, so that's a special memory I'll always have in this game.
How was the game? There's quite a bit going on here! The MMO gameplay is at the core of the adventure, and as the plot propels forward it spins through a variety of genres. You go from being a lowly adventurer to a hero on a cosmic scale, and on the way you build lots of relationships with figures in the world.
One of the things I really enjoyed about the narrative was how thoroughly planned it is. There are frequent callbacks to previous sections of the game where information gets expanded or revisited in a new light. They do a great job musically with this as well - motifs from other songs frequently pop up at significant story moments. As a whole, the music here is really well done.
You really get to love the characters - and because the story is so extensive, they really are able to show growth and development in the core cast. There are several plot twists and character changes that completely took me by surprise - a common refrain of my friends was "I couldn't wait for you to get to X part and see how that played out."
There's a really substantial main story that is carried through with typical MMO-style questing. The dungeons and raids are also like other MMOs I've played, though I appreciate that enemies telegraph their attacks a little more than in other MMOs I've played. I really feel like online raiding has taken the social niche that square dancing once held.
Each class feels a little different, and that's even without touching the crafting and gathering classes as I have not. There's also some farming sim elements that I haven't done yet. Housing is a huge part of the game - I didn't like it as much as I would in like The Sims, but my husband loves it so much.
What did I not love? My main quibble is with overworld questing. Unfortunately, I can only play solo for sort stretches of time on the main quest - the types of quests are a little repetitive and they get tedious. Go talk to someone, sit for a lore dump. go talk to someone...I usually nod off a little. The dungeon design is really fun and I wish there wasn't so much silly "go talk to x" design in the way.
The art assets are also starting to show their age a little, and closeups on pixelly textures aren't a cute look. The animations get better as the expansions go on, but a lot of the game isn't as pretty as most modern games.
At 23 days, 16 hours and $30 for the whole game plus $15 per month, was it really worth it? I really enjoy FFXIV, but I don't think I'd still be playing without a community of friends. If you have a social group that's into it, give it a try! I have definitely gotten my dollars worth!

The walking prostheses (left picture) are in the sock category. The running blades (right picture) are shoes in the boot category. Each has two versions available.
Version 1: The original files from a3ano_013. They are only enabled for female sims with the feminine frame and feminine clothing preference. They are allowed for random.
Version 2: Files that I have slightly tweaked. The names are changed for better mod folder organization. They have been enabled for male sims, the masculine frame, and masculine clothing preference. (The running blades have some clipping with the skin around the socket for larger sims with the masculine frame.) They are enabled for the eight standard outfit categories and disallowed for random.
Notes from a3ano_013:
the prosthetic legs don't have any issues so far since it is just a retexture, however the blades have a few issues.
they appearantly only work when you put your sim quality on high
another issue is that with some pants and skirts, the legs clip through, I don't know what is going on there but the legs suddenly extend.

Fantastic idea. Let's give it a shot! I would love to see if a creator could and would be able to create a maxis-match classic Ballet Workout Set. Including two simple Tutu's one classic short the other one long. A classic leotard, wrap top, wrap skirt, ankle leg warmers as well as a pair of thigh high ones. All in classic ballet colors black, white and pink. ;) Nothing fancy! If the creator wants some examples what I mean I could provide pics. But that would be so dope! ❤️

#SSSWish I'm half Filipino, but I hardly see any Filipino content in the Sims Community. I would love to own a Maxis Match Barong or Maria Clara dress for formal events in the game. I think it would be a great way to add more representation in the game, especially when I know there are a handful of PilAms and Pinoy players. Thanks for hearing me out, and thanks for all the work you do to make this games playable. I really enjoy all your hard work!

#SSSWishlist hello! I would love if cc creators can consider making more patterns for Kimono/Yukata (traditional Japanese clothing). I find the in-game versions kinda bland, and there are not many floral Kimonos even though its commonly seen in Japanese festivals. Would appreciate if there's Japanese hairstyle cc with big flowerly accessory to pair with the Kimono too! Same for the male Yukatas, just not floral print maybe. If it's not too much, children's version is also appreciated!

For the SSS Wishlist, I would Love to see a set of three to four hairstyles, all with the same texture. Something like long hair down, a ponytail, and an updo, all with the same wavy or curly or straight texture, all with the same bangs or whatever. Just something that could be used to look like my sims change hairstyle now and them.

Sorry I wasn’t to sure where to put the hashtag #SSSWish or where to submit the wish.
My wish is to have more swatches for the snowboard and skis. If there could be more LED designs, interesting designs and the swatches for kids for T-E boards. It would be great.
The other wish would be to have more Kimono designs in Maxis Match and/or recolors with more patterns. There are so many patterns that I have seen while looking at real life kimonos and there are so many patterns, styles and colors that are missing in the game.

This seems like a fun idea! What I have been wanting for ages (like since TS2 era ages) is a hair style that completely covers one eye, like Violet at the start of The Incredibles. Most of the peekaboo bangs hairs I've seen are a little *too* stylish and I mostly just want one where someone is clearly trying to cover up half their face with it.

Hello, not sure if I'm sending this the proper way, but I have a request for the SSSWish? So, there's still no ways of writing books off-grid that I know of, so I think a journal or typewriter or, I don't know, even a magical computer working on batteries would be great, I would just really love to write and publish books off-grid... Also, I think this is a very sweet idea, and thank you for this chance to make requests!

I would love to see more horse poses with tack. Severinka’s horses are beautiful but it drives me crazy, posing sims on horseback with the illusion of tack (bridles, saddles, etc) I would love to see some Severinka shaped tack be made. Poses would be a bonus!

#SSSWish - I would love to see a someone put together clothing that accurately reflects the Starfleet uniforms seen on the television shows, "Star Trek: The Next Generation" (collar version), "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" (colored shoulders) or the later movie uniforms (grey shoulders w/ colored undershirt). I've seen people asking for these uniforms for quite some time now, and I think, if done well, they could be a popular download. A separate chest combadge accessory would be nice too.

Hey there, that #SSSWish thing is a super cool idea! I do have a wish too - I would love to see the EL utility jumpsuit converted for male framed sims. It can be unlocked by creating an override and unchecking the frame restrictions in S4S, but then the body changes to a female frame. So if anybody out there could do that properly, I'd be extremely grateful :3

#SSSWish i've been looking all over for a version of a torc to use in my historical plays-- it's an old celtic type of necklace, made of iron, sort of twisted into a collar around the neck... i've seen sims 3 versions of one floating around, so if someone would even be so kind as to convert one of those to the sims 4 i would be so happy!!!

#SSSWishlist i know i already saw some people here ask for more yukata/kimono swatches here and i would like the say i really do think we need them (not just for the adults but the younger ages too, id like for the toddlers kimono not to have the hifu? vest as well but that sounds more complicated).
BUT for my wish i would like to see some proper tabi socks in the game, for all ages + genders, and also for the geta sandals to be made available for children and toddlers. My Super Secret Wish is a mod, or even a tweak of an existing mod, that stops toddlers from shying away from hugs they ask for during the “Check Toddler” interaction. It is *so* irritating to see a toddler respond to a❓with a ❤️ and open arms then step back, often with a 💔, and push the adult away. I’ve tried to stop it with MCCC but no luck.

One of my favorite parts of the game is creating a restaurant or a vet clinic, but the employees are impossible to keep satisfied and they all eventually quit. It would be nice if there was a way to keep them permanently satisfied, or at least make it easier. There is a mod for this but it is extremely outdated and doesn't work anymore. If anyone could update it or make a new one that would be great! 😁

If they could make it so that the turtle neck and shirt can be different colours, like having the turtle neck have an option under accessories to change colours that overrides the original turtleneck’s colour would be amazing! Hi ! There is quite a few things I’d like, but I narrowed it down to three “small” things:
- An accessory top with a high neckline and no sleeves - just to hide cleavage - maybe with some lace at the edge ? and several grey and pastel colors please.
- Some accessory prints for shirts, like those tukete has, maybe some aimed at kids and toddlers too ?
- Makeup for kids. Some people let their kids wear makeup in real life, but adult cc makeup don’t look right on kids, so if anyone is interested in trying… I’d like eye-shadow and lipstick, with some discreet options (but you can go all out too of course).

Hello! This #SSSWish is such a fun idea~ Personally, I'd love if someone updated the Plantsims mods that have broken over the numerous updates. Like, G1G2's Revamped Plantsims, Triplis' Plantsim Interactions, and Simonch8's No Cooldown & Trait mods. I've always loved Plantsims since Sims 2 & 3 days, but my knowledge of modding (and especially updating mods) is near nonexistent, so I can't do this myself. It would be awesome if someone could do it so the community could enjoy Plantsims again~!

What I’d like to have (and I think would also be useful for other Simmers) is a wedding themed recolor of the “large pile of presents.”
I usually put one of those piles in my wedding venue so that the bride and groom can “open presents” together. But the colors that are on the original are not what you usually see on presents at weddings. (I usually opt for the one that is mostly purple, since purple and lavender are my favorite colors.)
What I’d like to have are recolors in white, white/gold, and white/silver. Maybe some white/pastels (especially lavender, pink and blue. The white/pastel recolors would also be nice for having a party that you call a “baby shower” especially if yellow and light green were also available. That kind of party isn’t in the game, but it should be!)

I don’t see the #SSSwish I submitted on your public list (I forgot to use the hashtag before) so I’m submitting it again. I would love to see a mod, or tweak of an existing mod, that stops toddlers from pulling away from a hug after they asked for one in response to a Check Toddler. The toddler will hold up its arms with a ❤️ in the speech bubble then step back and refuse the hug, and the relationship takes a hit. I tried MCCC’s tuner to stop it but it didn’t work.

i would love some…chinese cc haha! With snowy escape there’s more build items that can be used, I’ve noticed there tends to be a lot of Japanese inspired cc even before that pack, but not a lot of things from other parts of Asia, especially ancient cultures or cultural items like instruments (decor), clothing, furniture (lohan beds), etc. I’ve gone looking but most of what I’ve found is locked behind chinese-only forums and is usually alpha…I just think it would be cool to see some mm stuff from other places esp as fandoms get more globalized

This is an absolutely fantastic idea! I haven't been able to look around lately but I noticed that most rings/hand accessories aren't compatible with SkinDetail eyelashes. My wish is exactly hand accessories, specifically wedding rings, which don't conflict with SkinDetail eyelashes. It may be helpful to know that plumbobteasociety managed it in their RRS pack. Lastly, you guys rock!

I have another #SSSWish (if you don't mind). I don't know if it already exists but a mod which adds more family relationship options to CAS or the Sim menu. Like grandparents, cousins, step- and half-siblings, step-parents, etc. It would be easier instead of having to create additional Sims just to create diverse relationships.

I would love to see some more truly alien clothing options for the aliens, the males especially. I sometimes like to dress mine up in complete different outfits for their alien and disguise forms. I disabled most of my female cas cc to be worn on opposite frames just because i did not create them for that particular frame. and didn’t want to be ‘judged’ for it not looking as ‘well’ as the original female version. Never bc i thought;”this has to be worn by female sims exclusively” or anything of that nature!
The only thing slightly ‘bothering’ me is the texture around the chest area can sometimes be reminded of a feminine physique with some of my items, due to the origin of it. For example; this top also has a tiny visible breast texture bake on it. that’s something we have to take for granted.
Nevertheless i’ve come around on my former thoughts about the subject and decided from here on i will enable my CC for both frames/add proper thumbs!
I feel better leaving you guys in charge about it, if you want to use it on opposite frames or not =) Gender was already enabled. Unless there’s a huge deformation visible on the opposite frame mesh... than i might disable it but i haven’t seen that happen a lot yet.
I'm planning on doing a massive update (in the near future) for my CAS CC so older content will eventually be enabled as well :3

Let me introduce you to Cooper Teague, a sim I made for @mellowdust‘s Survivor: Sulani, a sims reality tv series. He is a trans man and uses he/him pronouns.
Cooper is a proud trans guy from Brindleton Bay looking to go on a fun adventure and perhaps win a million dollars while he's at it. In the real world he's a kind, goofy, fun-loving veterinarian with a passion for music. On the island, his main priority is to make people laugh as the show's comic relief. He isn't opposed to getting involved in a showmance either! He gives off the impression that he’s a lovable goof, and it might seem like he doesn’t have a plan - but that’s the whole point. Don't underestimate his social game just because he's dorky and funny.
He has the soulmate aspiration. He is a goofball, a music lover and a (hopeless) romantic. Please be kind to his heart.
You can find him on the Gallery, either by searching my Origin ID (MelsieYT), by searching Cooper Teague, or by searching the tag #mellowdust. He has a bit of custom content, but most of it can be omitted. The only custom clothes he has is a top that’s also interchangeable.

Top Surgery Scars. I’m using the back tattoo version I believe, but I may be wrong so you may want to download the upper arm tattoo version as well.
Body hair. I always give my male sims body hair, but if your other contestants don’t have any I don’t want Coop looking like the odd one out, so let’s say it’s optional.
His custom gender settings should be as follows. Gender set as male. Physical frame set to feminine. This is so that his appearance doesn’t vastly change from what he looked like pre-transition. Clothing preference is masculine. The sim cannot get pregnant or get anyone else pregnant. He can use the bathroom standing up.
I always play with tons of custom clothes but for simplicity’s sake I tried to limit myself as much as possible for this. I did pick out one top that you’ll have to download, but even that could be switched out if you’d like. Otherwise, I think he’ll be good.
LazyEyelids Open Shirt for everyday, hot weather & cold weather. I use a tank top for his athletic to make it seem like he just took the flannel button-up off. There are plenty of swatches to choose from for his team colors.

T.H.B: Jin Kazama, Terry Bogard, and Cloud Strife.
The life of a video game character may seem like it’s all glitz and glamour, all action all the time, but that all ends as soon as the power button is hit. It can get pretty boring just waiting around for the universe to come back. Or at least it was. Now that all these consoles are connected to the internet, characters can finally leave their world and traverse a whole new universe when the player walks away.
Cloud had left his metropolis of Midgar and found a couple of fighters from different games who were sizing each other up. All the tension faded between the two men as they noticed Cloud standing there.
“Woah little guy, I don’t think this is the right zone for you,” Terry called out, laughing.
“Yeah man, this is where fighters come to challenge each other, I think if you follow that circuit you’ll you find your way to Sim City, might be a little more your speed,” added Jin.
“I’m a fighter, too! You should see the size of my sword!” Cloud yelled out.
“This isn’t that part of the internet little buddy,” laughed Terry, “but I’m sure Jin could show you where it is.”
“Hey!” Jin began to yell, but before he could let out a word the space around them started to swirl. “What’s going on?”
“I don’t know, I’ve never seen this happen before. Are you doing this little man?” Terry yelled in anger.
“This isn’t me…” Cloud said as his body started to glow in moving ones and zeroes.
At that moment a coder was sitting at his desk. He’d been noticing some weird activity when he’d been surfing the web, and was surprised to find code for a few different games in the background of the site he was on. He decided to have some fun and do a little redesign to the characters to mess with the admins.
Cloud’s whole body was now glowing in the bright and shifting ones and zeroes as the light started expanding upwards and outwards. When the light finally started to fade he was standing a few feet higher than the men that had previously towered over him. As he looked down at the men he noticed he could no longer see his feet past his massive muscle gut. His body had erupted in brawny hairy beefy. He’d been smooth and hairless in every game he’d been in, but now he was completely coated in course graphic hair. His youthful face looked comical sat upon this giant scruffy body.
“Looks like you got an upgrade, little..er..big man!” Terry called out, “Now you might have a chance at taking us!” As he turned to the other fighter to get his perspective he noticed why he hadn’t chimed in. Just like with Cloud, Jin’s entire body had begun to glow in a bright light of shifting ones and zeroes. Again the glow began to shoot up, until Jin’s new outline almost rivalled Cloud’s. But unlike Cloud, his glow wasn’t expanding out rapidly. In fact his waist shrunk inwards to inhuman proportions. Then his torso expanded out horizontally, giving him a classic superhero’s silhouette. Until his hips widened a bit as well, giving him a top heavy hourglass shape. Finally, the glow began to fade, revealing the new Jin left behind. Left behind was Jinn’s head on a slimmer but more shredded body. His pecs were pushing out from his hoodie, his muscle cleavage clearly on display. His long tight legs led up to a gravity defying bubble poking out from the top of his unchanged pants.Jin now looked more like a Tom of Finland themed anime character than any sort of fighter.
“Interesting route for your level up, Jinn. Of course, I can’t deny the gains you’ve made!” Terry chuckled. As his own skin began to glow he yelled out in excitement, “It’s time for my level up! Just wait, I’m going to be towering over you both!”
As his body was fully engulfed in the shining ones and zeroes, he began to compress downwards until he was a fire plug of a man. But just as quickly as his height shot down, his body sunk in. The one and zeroes that were once a tower of muscle were now just a skinny waif. With the glowing light and effeminate frame, Terry resembled a fair standing in front of the now hulking men. As the light began to fade from most of his body it began to shine even brighter around his waist as his now cute little bubble burst out into two giant mounds of light, the only part of his body you could possibly call big. The light finally faded, showing his now baggy clothes hiding all of his body. His vest and shirt had become a dress on his petit body while the pants were only held up by his ballooning behind. Just like with the others, his face hadn’t changed, but the loss of size cause his cap to fall off with the slightest movement. His hair hadn’t changed at all, but now that he’d almost lost half his size, his ponytail looked all the more feminine as it laid on ground.
“What the hell?!” Terry yelled out in a voice that no longer matched his body. “What happened to my level up?!”
“Aw, don’t worry little guy. You think you might want to see my big sword now?” Cloud laughed out as he reached down to pat the tiny man’s head. As he did the space began to swirl once more. This time round all three men’s began to glow, or at least where their clothing was. The glowing lights seemed to crush into themselves until there was hardly any light left when the aura faded and the new wardrobes revealed themselves. Cloud’s dark slacks had reformed into a pair of skin tight leather pants. His shirt had completely vanished, shifting instead into a leather harness parting hiding none of his beefy muscle gut. Jin’s hoodie had reformed into a low cut navy tanktop, putting his muscle tits proudly on display. His pants had moved all the way up his legs, leaving behind nothing but maroon coloured workout shorts. His massive package bulging obscenely through. No change was as drastic though as Terry’s outfit, his tank top dissolving away to nothing while his vest grew skin tight and lightened in hue to a cute light pink. Finally his jeans had shrunk and softened, lightening as well until they hugged his massive glutes as a pair of baby blue booty shorts.
Almost immediately after the change they felt the familiar feel of their games turning on as they reappeared before their players. Cloud stood there holding his massive sword, now looking small in comparison to his even more massive frame. Jin was facing off against his greatest rival, Hwoarang. Only instead of firing of a kick, his player was shocked to see as he planted a kiss. But most shocking was Terry Bogard, set to fight Ryu. Unable to perform his normal opening scene, his player felt something awaken as Terry touched his toes and gave a very sensual dance to his opponent. Little did the coder know, he’d changed some beloved games for ever.

Nifty Knitting Review → ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆
To be entirely honest I’d give this pack 2 ½ stars out of 5, but, no half star symbol means a more generous rating! This isn’t a complete in depth review by any means! I only cover CAS objects, Build/Buy objects, and other opinions! The review is completely honest however (always have been), and I am not sugar coating anything (guilty, oops). But anyhow, I have thoughts to share so here we goooo!

Nifty Knitting CAS → ★ ★ ☆ ☆ ☆
CAS in one word: Disappointing.
As with every pack, the quality of the meshes just gets better and better and the devs that bust their buns creating these objects deserve nothing but praise. We’ve come REAL far from TS4′s horribly textured origins- there’s no denying that! Credit where credit is due!
However.
The choices in regards to what items get put in? Who’s calling these shots?
I know this pack was community voted, so the community is partially to blame, but whomst on the team is constantly suggesting these items that just make you go, “well that sure is a choice”. Who keeps pushing the incredibly high hairlines? Who has the fascination with making the hair volume that tall? For the love of everything who is in charge of the pants???
There are a few solid pieces and the colour choices range from more vibrant and fun to toned down shades and they mix and match with other packs wonderfully! The amount of objects is slim but it is a Stuff Pack and to be expected. Style choices aside, the main drawback is that since the pack is all about knitting the majority of the CAS items are locked behind your sims knitting skill. I mean, yeah I get it, but also? Gonna be downloading unlocked versions of those ASAP cause not every single one of my sims are gonna knit. I think having clothes be locked is a great idea and ties in wonderfully! It’s fun! But when most of your CAS objects are locked behind a skill? Ehhhh... Knitting skill clothes and regular CAS content should be separate, in my opinion.
Other than that there’s really not much to say about CAS. It’s unremarkable, I didn’t even make my usual CAS favourites posts because, well, I don’t really have any favourites from this pack. Some of the tops are very cute and I’m sure I’ll use them a ton, same with the couple items for kids and tots, but other than that nothing really stands out. Well, a couple things stand out but not in a positive light...
• First - Why do we keep getting the same ill-fitting jeans over and over? The single pair of jeans from this pack look fine on feminine-framed sims, but when you use the masculine version it’s extremely apparent who they were designed for. Also why don’t the guys get the glitter pants option by default? It’s the SAME mesh! I just! Who is in charge of PANTS???
• Second - That one hair. You know the one. Look, maybe they genuinely hadn’t seen the CC version, but we’re meant to believe that the folks that gave us the shake n go from Discover University and the crunchy crimped chip bag from Eco Living pulled this one out?? *squints loudly* I dunnoooo!
Nifty Knitting Build & Buy → ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆
Build /Buy for this pack is harder to critique because the art direction of the was voted on by the community. The objects are all super well done and I’ll be using them all a ton! Everything has matching colour swatches that include fun bright options as well as natural tones and solid white and solid black. All in all the art style isn’t bad! It’s very cute to be honest! Some of the objects give off a very “crafty-youtuber-chic” vibe, and while that isn’t my thing, it is incredibly cute! Regardless of if you’re into it or not, the objects mix and match with previous packs really well and can easily be integrated into any sort of build! Also I need to give credit to (I believe it’s Sim Guru Kimmi) whoever did the adorable art in the embroidery rings. It’s so flippin cute y’all. I’m not into the flower things that go with them but that’s nothing a lil CC can’t fix!
At first there doesn’t seem to be a lot for Build/Buy but that’s because a lot of the goodies are hidden in debug because your sim needs to knit them! The items your sim can create are absolutely adorable and I know I’ll be cramming my builds with all of them! (seriously those hanging plants, poufs, and rugs? they’re going everywhere. no build is safe.)
My largest complaint with Build/Buy is the four “unique” objects that are the same rocking chair four times... This seems to have become a trend since Tiny Living where “unique” items are just the same items with little to no change, and this pack isn’t immune to it. Like I get it, one has arms and the other doesn’t, and one has a cushion.. But come on now. At least make the style of the chair different from arms to no arms. I really hope this is the last we see of this trend but I’m not holding my breath...
Nifty Knitting Gameplay → n/a

Nifty Knitting Would I Buy This at Release → Probably Not
All in all, while it is a very cute pack, I think I’d wait and buy it on sale.
The CAS is just so lackluster, and while the Build/Buy is cute it isn’t enough to solely pull the weight of the pack. I’m excited to play and see the cute interactions between sims, like parents and grandparents teaching kids and teens to knit, but I’m not sure how much more into the gameplay I’ll actually be, seeing as, well, there really isn’t any gameplay added. I know it adds a whole new skill and aspiration, as well as the Plopsy feature which I’m sure I’ll get a ton of use out of, but for me personally, the pack still falls short. As someone who loves crochet I was super excited for this, but in the end it just feels incomplete somehow.
This is a harder one to critique since it was community voted, so some people are going to LOVE it, while others might not! Both are valid!! Everyone has their own tastes and interests! So make sure you check out what other Game Changers are saying and see how you feel about it!~ ♡

By now you’ve probably already seen what exactly Tiny Living has to offer CAS wise. I figured I would still share my favourites and a few thoughts, though, so here they are! If you’re interested in a better overview of the new CAS items and my first impression of the items, you can watch back the livestream I did on Twitch right here!
Once again a big thanks to SimGuruFrost and the EA Game Changers program for providing me with early access to this new stuff pack! ♡
With the four new hairs, two of which were made available for both frames, my favourites are definitely the messy bun and the short curly hair! However I don’t really like the look of the big curls framing the forehead on the messy bun too much, they look slightly too big in my opinion - but the hair is still really nice.
Accessory wise we were given a matching set of earrings and necklace, and a pair of glasses. I adore the glasses so much and I can totally see myself use the earrings on my sims, too (the necklace not so much because I often skip necklaces altogether)!
No one knows how this happened but we actually got two more tops for the masucline frame than the feminine one - but there’s honestly only one that I can say I really like. I don’t hate the others but the one shown above is my favourite of the five. The feminine tops are pretty good, too, but I definitely prefer the two tops I’ve shown over the other two!
I looooove love love love the bottoms we got for the feminine frame. The skirt has such a nice length and I love the splits! The pants/trousers/whatever you wanna call them are amazing, too! I am a sucker for these kind of pants and I love that they are available for both frames, too! The masculine frame got another pair of pants/jeans but I’m not the biggest fan - they’re not too bad, though!
So what are my final thoughts? Considering this is a stuff pack based on building and tiny living, the CAS overall is really really good! Sure some items are less than exciting to me but just compare it to the Moschino pack which sole purpose was fashion but had terrible less than good CAS items... sooo considering I adore the build/buy and really like CAS, I’m pretty happy with Tiny Living overall!
