Bruno made Belle a tasty Founders' Day breakfast with the eggs he collected from the coop.

"I have a surprise for you, too," Belle told him.

"Oh come on, you're the one that's supposed to be celebrated today!" Bruno told her with a playful grin.

Belle couldn't keep it to herself any longer. She blurted out the words, giddy with excitement. "We're gonna have another baby!"

Gael really didn't mind bath time.

She loved splashing in the water, and she even got to listen to her mother telling her stories about fairytale characters she might get to meet one day.

Plus, you know, bubbles!

Gael had some trouble keeping her bladder in check that morning.

"Oh, it's gonna be like that, is it?" Belle said with a laugh.

Gael giggled.

"I think you're gonna need a bath before the Founders' Day party later," Belle told her.

It was a beautiful morning in Henford-on-Bagley.

Bruno rose with the sun and, letting his wife sleep in, headed outside to start planting some crops for the summer season.

In his seed packets he got bell peppers, tomatoes, and a couple of chocoberry plants that were already ripe for the picking.

"Urgh, why do I feel so bad this morning?" Belle muttered to herself as she started getting out of bed, just after 4AM.

It took a split second for her to remember the first sign of pregnancy.

"Plum," she swore and quickly grabbed her belly, noticing it was a lot bigger than the night before.

Unlike last time, she chose not to wake Bruno. They had an infant now, they couldn't afford to lose out on sleep.

So she got back into bed and snuggled up against her husband, excited to reveal the news to him in the morning.

"When you wake up tomorrow Gael, it'll be Founders' Day, the first official holiday in Happily Ever After," Bruno explained to his infant daughter as he put her to bed that night. "Do you know what that means?"

Gael stared at her dad with big brown eyes, looking a little perplexed.

"It means we celebrate the plum out of your mama," he continued without skipping a beat. "She did so many cool things these last 8 years to make sure you had a wonderful future in this brand new world — her and all the other founders. It's gonna be a very special day!"

Gael yawned and closed her eyes.

"Good night, pequeña," Bruno chuckled.

Yet another one of Belle's books was off to be published.

She swelled up with pride at the notification telling her she was a notable newcomer now, although soon after she was hit with a wave of crippling anxiety.

She didn't actually want to be famous! She didn't want any attention! She just wanted to write books and let other sims enjoy the stories inside her head!

Belle was still hard at work on her fantasy novel, and quite frankly she was pretty sure it was her best work yet.

She couldn't wait for all of her friends to read it!

Having an infant that needed to take a lot of naps wasn't such a bad thing.

Sure, sometimes they resulted in her not sleeping through the night, but it also meant Bruno and Belle had some free time on their hands during the day for their respective hobbies.

For example, Bruno got to finish two paintings after dinner. No masterpieces yet, but he was getting pretty skilled. It wouldn't be long now!

Oooh this is a REALLY hard one 'cause I use so much and do like to switch things up every now and then! Default skin and eyes are a must, as well as 3d eyelashes.

I guess one creator that changed the fashion world for infants and toddlers in my game is @powluna, I think most of my little ones are wearing CC from her right now.

"I'm getting kind of hungry, what about you?" Belle said to her husband after a bit more time hanging out in the living room.

"Yeah, I could eat," Bruno shrugged. "I'll make us some fruit salad. You can spam some cute interactions with Gael for a bit."

"Thanks," Belle smiled affectionately.

Bruno headed into the kitchen and got to work, all while listening to his little family laughing in the other room.

"I heard her fuss, is everything okay?" Belle asked.

"Yeah, yeah, just learning how to crawl," Bruno replied, trying to soothe the infant.

But he didn't need to. All of a sudden Gael was smiling.

"Aw, did you see mommy?" Belle said with a giggle. "Come on sweetheart, come here!"

There was nothing quite like a mother's encouragement to help a little infant along. Gael was crawling mere seconds later.

Bruno and Gael spent their afternoon learning how to crawl.

She had some trouble at first, but Bruno was constantly by her side, ready to hold her up if she started to fall.

"Come on pequeña, you've got this, go get the blocks!" Bruno cheered her on.

Gael tried and tried, using all of the force in her little arms and legs, but it was no use! She started to sob.

GUYS! How proud of me are you? I updated my game and my mods today for the first time since January! I get to play online again and see my hours played go up!

Now I'm going on a massive CC hunt since there's sooooo much new stuff I haven't downloaded!

Will this help me wanna play more? Who knows.

Thank you so much for the ask! I think SQOTD is such an amazing idea and I really appreciate you going out of your way to get some conversations going within the community.

1️⃣ I think I'm a mix of storyteller and gameplay blog so I'll answer both. I used to use poses a lot more when playing and telling stories, but now I more or less only use gameplay to influence the story and I find I really enjoy that. It's a lot more freeing than having to find very niche poses to convey the specific idea you have. As for builds, I do everything myself. I'm not a fantastic builder, but I really like it anyway and really like seeing a save file full of my own builds.

2️⃣ Same as above: I build my own houses and yes, additions happen. The way I play, most of my households start out really broke (often with 0 simoleons). The houses start off as a patchwork of rooms, added on as my sims make simoleons. Then after a while, if I have enough simoleons saved, I'll redo the whole house but keep the bones and maybe a bit of the aesthetic. It really depends on how ugly it was to begin with. 😂 The house I built for Bruno and Belle on the old Gateway Peak property where my founders lived when I started my BACC was a complete bulldoze. It looks NOTHING like the original.

mini update! 💜

I started playing Sims 4 again! Yay!

(It was because I was about to run out of posts in my queue... but it still counts, right?)

Unfortunately, I'm still having a hard time getting into it, especially when Sims 2 is RIGHT THERE and currently way more appealing. I really love my Disney Sims! I wish I felt differently!

But, on the bright side, I may still have enough posts queued to up the "posts per day" to 4. I'll give it another day or two, hopefully I'll play a bit more.

I also want to shamelessly promote my Sims 2 blog again, 'cause that one's super active! 12 posts per day and still I have a queue that'll last 'til the end of May!

Introduction

Hi! I'm an anonymous asker who sends fellow simmers questions. "Simblr Question of the Day" is something I saw going on around September '23 and I wanted to revive this "trend"! After a bit, some simmers suggested a SQOTD blog, to which I agreed and finally did it! I can broaden my asking horizons to blogs w/o anons now :)

I'm going to continue preserving my anonymity, but I'd like to share some basics about me ! ~

You can call me squat or squatty! A name I chose based on the way I pronounce "SQOTD," You can also call me SQOTD Anon! I like the colors yellow and pink/red, I've been playing the sims since I was 5 and I like to read and write :)

And below the cut will include a little rundown of how I will run this blog and navigation hashtags ~

-I will queue a question for once a day around 4am-5am PST, I will try to vary the type of questions (builds/renders/cas/sims/ocs). -Interact with these posts in anyway you prefer: reblog, reply or a separate post! (make sure to tag me ;p) -I FULLY encourage YOU to continue sending asks with SQOTDs (crediting/tagging me is optional). I don't expect every simblr to know about this blog and SQOTD is intended to be a community thing, so while this blog will extend SQOTD reach, asks will spread even further -If you have your own SQOTD, you can send me an ask with your q! -Since this isn't my main blog, I probably won't follow others, but I will check into the "SQOTD" tag, leave likes on SQOTD answers and maybe even reblog answers -For the first week or so after making this blog, I will still send SQOTDs while also letting simmers know the existence of this blog, I also do not want to stop sending asks cold turkey :) (<- I'll remove this after a while)
