It took a split second for her to remember the first sign of pregnancy.

"Plum," she swore and quickly grabbed her belly, noticing it was a lot bigger than the night before.

Unlike last time, she chose not to wake Bruno. They had an infant now, they couldn't afford to lose out on sleep.

So she got back into bed and snuggled up against her husband, excited to reveal the news to him in the morning.

Yes, for my own amusement all the time! I have a Disney-movie-themed Build a City Challenge going that I need to get back to, Lake Buena Vista.

I’ve never packaged and shared any sims I made, or made any CC myself, though, if that’s what you’re asking. I’d be willing to share the sims I have if you’re interested, but currently that’s only from a few early movies—the ones in my Lake Buena Vista posts are all the Disney sims I have made so far, using modern CC I already had. I can also direct you towards more movie-accurate downloads, or at least the ones I know about, if that’s what you’re looking for—let me know if I can help more!

Only two currently have "end" dates that are kind of close. For Challenges assume they end at the end of the challenge which is based entirely on how much I play it.

-Where is my CC Challenge - will be retired upon completion, I just wanted to finish the rules. All sims have previously been uploaded so they're available to download.

-Oregon Trail - will have seasons, will stop running wagon trails once the rules are refined and it'll be a Victorian/Edwardian/Steampunk fantasy of a hood. Probably tumblr-only.

I plan on a tumblr-only hood for my Disney sims for fun called Fairytalia for now. Might just be posed pictures and short stories idk.

"When you wake up tomorrow Gael, it'll be Founders' Day, the first official holiday in Happily Ever After," Bruno explained to his infant daughter as he put her to bed that night. "Do you know what that means?"

Gael stared at her dad with big brown eyes, looking a little perplexed.

"It means we celebrate the plum out of your mama," he continued without skipping a beat. "She did so many cool things these last 8 years to make sure you had a wonderful future in this brand new world — her and all the other founders. It's gonna be a very special day!"

Gael yawned and closed her eyes.

"Good night, pequeña," Bruno chuckled.

I made a couple totally random Sims 2 resolutions today. No occasion, just things I would like to accomplish by the end of the year, and I am writing them down to fix it in my head.

1. Resume playing and posting about Lake Buena Vista, my Disney Animated Canon-themed BaCC. Honestly, I got weirdly intimidated by the very unexpected group of Johnny Appleseed fans taking my pictures of his barebones starter cabin in my undecorated hood and making fun of them. It wasn’t even to my face, but… yeah, that was weird. Anyway, I should get past that little rejection sensitivity to play my fun hood I made so many rules for again, I barely even got started and would like to unlock Alice in Wonderland please.

2. Finish setting up my Ubermegahood Through Time and start actually playing it. That shouldn’t be too hard, I only have… I think three houses left to build (Burb, Broke, Langerak, maybe King but I think I may have him mooch off either Kaylynn or the Brokes), plus a couple of simple community lots for the Goths to own (most likely a small church—St Agnes, perhaps?—and some sort of village green or small market).

3. The big one, finish fixing my medieval downloads folder so I can properly work on the Megakingdom of Simland again. I have tried everything, and it just keeps boiling down to needing to run the 50/50 method repeatedly until I stop finding random-ass perfectly good files that keep crashing my game. Literally did everything in my power to identify GUID conflicts and hack conflicts and broken CC, and there’s always something innocuous that refuses to be discovered any other way. So I am going to keep at it, and try to finish even if it takes me forever. I only have 2,871 files left to go through! That’s… not as bad as it could be! And it only takes me maybe half an hour to load these days, which is twice as fast as when I started! (I probably need a new computer, I cannot afford one nor do I want to have to break in a new computer for sims 2 if I can help it) I am dying to implement some of my plans such as turning the Summerdreams into fairies, rebranding the premade aliens as Unseelie to better match the Wild Hunt mod, making the Curious house be an abandoned quarry building with an old digging spot where the brothers try to cut magic stones, also Loki is going to force his sister to marry Nervous unless she gets a better offer, and Nervous is the heir to the duchy of Strangetown (a bastard, to be sure, sent to be raised by Lord Bjorn Beaker in secret, but recently formally recognized as Duchess Olive Specter’s only heir), but Nervous is attracted to his friend Pascal, who is not yet aware that his dalliance with the Unseelie left him permanently transformed and able to bear any man’s child… you get the idea.

Belle and Aurora are getting closer every day. Belle is our head gardener and Aurora is the main cook, even though the things Aurora has to cook are quite limited because of the Simple Living Lot Challenge. The girls are the ones making sure that most of the money goes directly to the Rescue Snow Fund, the RSF, and as it seems if they sell absolutely everything and work to the bone, they can get the Cas Point by Harvest Fest.

Aaaa, the hard one, right at the beginning! From the recent ones, it would be Impression of Infinity... But overall... I think the Radio Call mini-series & Fairy Tales for Bedtime: The King of Liars?

Putting together a plot + dialogues.

Descriptions that require some rather precise placement of objects in the 3D space </3

I had to open up my writing masterlist, haha. Writing-wise? The song about Princess and The Fox.

Plot-wise... I'm moving towards HC here, because forget drunk Masamune. Honestly, even within headcanons, forget MC telling Hideyoshi off with "Up your ass, my lord". Warlords x/& MC that loved playing tuba/ loves tuba. That's it. That is the one. It makes no sense, although I desperately tried.

Although Hideyoshi & Polish!MC and that HC with everybody but Kenshin singing like in a Disney movie were a close second place.

22. Do you listen to anything while you write?

Noo, I have a focus of a mildly excited Labrador puppy, haha. I do take breaks to watch some YT videos, though, lately it's been mostly emmymade, haha.

What about Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves? I love that movie because it's such a wild ride (Satanists! Secret brothers! Secret mothers! And cancel Christmas!) but I distinctly remember a LOT of sutff that could probably make a historian scream. Also, how about The Eagle and/or The Last Legion, if you watched either of them?

engaging requested historical movie based rant in 3,2,1 okay, that movie is a beautiful MESS and its hard to pick somewhere to start partially as i cant decide to criticize it against the history of the period its supposed to be or as an adaptation of the legend, both of which it varries wildly as i could talk about how inconsistent it was about who robin hood was or what the merry men were about, chiefly that the concept that robin hood gave what he stole to the poor didnt arise untill about the late 1600s when people dressing up as robin hood and crew to recreate his stories became essentially the precursor to the renesance faire where such events would draw wealthy spectators who would then ‘pay tribute’ to robin hood who would then use that money to buy drinks for all the players eg ‘the poor’ as a compensation for the performance but no, i cant reasonably get too mad at that because its not widely enough known to actually expect people who make movies to know, id be more mad about how they insisted on making robin meet all his merry men as the movie goes on meaning none of them have more then a few days of backstory, and even more mad they insist on making all the non-named merry men illiterate morons, and more mad that they decided to amazingly actually include will scarlet but not have him do anything of note other then the drama about being a brother, and beyond that the part that actually gets me mad is you included will scarlet but not alan adale? thats a baffling missed opportunity considering you put the effort into making it an actual crew and not five guys in the woods, why the fuck not have a minstrel prancing around? the freaking disney furry one got that part better then you did and he didnt even interact with the main cast! i will give a few honorable praises to this movie though as friar tuck is possibly the most accurate friar tuck in any movie ive seen so far considering in the legends the first thing he does when he meets robin is put on a helmet and scream ‘have at ye’ while charging with his sword cause the friar is down to brawl with anyone at anytime. also his first appearance in the movie hes singing a rendition of bacce benne, the oldest known drinking song we know both the lyrics and tune of, which at the time would have been how tavernkeepers knew you were still sober enough to give another round to the irony of that statement being robin hood was largely circulated as drinking songs in taverns, and a medieval man replied to an accusation of him being stupid by saying ‘nah mate, i know all 70+ verses of the song of robin hood’ much like someone today would say ‘nah mate ive seen every episode of the simpsons up till season 12′ to prove he was up to current events i could get mad that everyone and everything is brown brown BROWN, nothing but rags for clothing half the time and the houses look like they congealed out of mud thats afraid of windows, but ive grown to accept that kind of garbage aesthetic choices that are somehow inferior to monty python and the holy grail depicting how people dressed. i also cant be mad about how they portrayed the sherrif, despite at the time a sherrif would have been a shire reeve or sherriv which the whole point of him being in the story is that hes more or less a corrupt union rep who is technically supposed to be the one the villagers rely on to relay their complaints and demands to the local lord but is instead a crony of the nobility appointed to a position that hes supposed to be elected to by his peers.... but to be fair it would make the story hard to process in a movie if sherrif wasnt sherrif. no, what im going to get the most mad about is their batshit crazy satanist witch i know witches (two kinds), i know satanists (two kinds), i know medieval society, and none of the above would for a minute agree with any of how the freaky ass nutbag making eyeball soup worked in t his movie. holy shit, you just threw whatever you wanted at a wall to see what stuck didnt you, the upside down cross is a common image in actual catholocism its literally everywhere at the vatacin and would have been as offensive to a medieval person as a beetroot, the medieval peasantry wouldnt even have been very putoff by witches as for the most part a witch was either your aunt or your chief source of medical coverage or both so you usually gave a ‘witch’ respect and bought your beer from her at reasonable rates. literally the only thing of the witch scene that is at all related to anything sane is the blood runes, which also make no sense as the runestones involved are norse but the practice of blood shouldnt be even known about by a witch in Essex, if you had wanted to imply how evil the badguys were in the movie theres better ways to do it in fact you already did that without agnes nutters more insane cousin arranging sticks in blair witch, if you wanted to imply fortune telling or magic was at their disposal theres about a dozen better ways to have done that too
