Angsty poly!Hawk x Reader x Robby thought:
Miguel and Sam just had their son and they're so happy and excited. It's the first kid of their friend group so the little guy is just so loved and everyone makes a fuss over him. Hawk is so happy to be an uncle, whenever they go over to Miguel and Sam's place, he always wants to hangout with the infant even if it's just holding him while he naps. It isn't all that surprising since Hawk spends his days at the dojo teaching kids the basics of karate, which he secretly calls the secrets of badassery. Hawk loves kids, so this of course leads to him making little comments about how he can't wait to be a dad some day.
At the same time, Robby is so nervous about even the idea that he could be anyone's father in the future. Robby works with kids though, kids in tough situations who feel like they have no control over his life. But that's totally different, he swears up and down it's not the same as being a father. And he's right, it's not the same. But he thinks he's a subpar youth advocate when he's actually a lot of kids and teens favorite person to talk to. He's selling himself short. It's a whole thing.
But all this to say that when Hawk and Reader start talking about possibly having a baby, Robby doesn't know what to do. He's so scared but sees how happy the idea of a baby makes his partners, that he goes along with it. He thinks, "I'm not ready but they are, so why should my dumb little fears stop them?" He starts to pull back from their relationship without realizing it. He spends more time working than he is at home. He's helping kids elsewhere, which is noble of course, but he's throwing himself into finding resources and help for these kids than ever before. He's falling asleep at his office while his partners are at home wondering where he is.
He of course is home when Reader announces she's pregnant and Robby pulls on a smile because she's so happy and he's happy because he's happy. For a moment, he's not thinking about his fears but he is repressing them because this is real now. And in some twisted way knowing that the baby is Hawk's and not biologically his helps him not freak out so much when he steps out of the room for a glass of water. His heart is beating so hard in his chest that he thinks it might break free and fall on the floor. Also, he might puke.
Hawk comes in and stands with him, silently, for a while. Robby smiles and Hawk sees right through it. "Stop with the bullshit."
"What do you mean?"
"You're not exactly subtle, but Reader is so excited that she can't even see you fake smile. So cut the bullshit and tell me what's really going on. Are you done with us?"
"Don't with- what are you talking about?"
"The late nights, the sleeping at the office, the few mornings you stay and eat breakfast with us, you're checked out, man. So tell me the truth, are you done with us?"
Robby can only stare for a moment, so Hawk continues.
Hes struggling to keep his voice level and low, not wanting to draw Reader's attention while she's on the phone with Sam in the other room. "Ever since we started trying for this baby, it's like you stopped caring-"
"It's not that."
"Then what is it then?"
"I'm scared!" Robby nearly shouts. He takes a deep breath but the tears prick his eyes. "I'm not ready for this."
"Then why did you agree to it?"
"Becaude you two were so happy about it and I didn't want to get I the way of that."
"We could have waited."
Robby shakes his head. "You'd be waiting a long time then because I don't know when I'll actually be ready for all of this."
"We could have talked about it."
"This is so dumb. There's nothing we can do about it now."
"Except talk about it," Hawk says so seriously that it almost chills Robby to the bone. "Why are you so scared?"
The tears have been free falling down Robbys face the whole time but he finally breaks and cries. "I don't wanna fuck this up. I mean- I mean, what if I can't do this? What if I'm just like my dad?"
Hawk doesn't say anything and just brings Robby into his arms. He holds him while he cries for a few minutes, rubbing his back but not sure of what to say. The words also have to sink in and Hawk is reminded of how hard Robby had it for so long, and it's why he does the nonprofit work with troubled kids because he was once one of them. Hawk knows that this is hard on anyone but a new baby is especially hard on people who had it rough.
"You're not your dad, Robby," he finally says. His voice is low and soft, only loud enough for Robby to hear over his muffled cries. "You're not even half as stupid as your dad."
Robby let's out a choked out laugh. He looks up at Hawk and his tears sparkle in his eyes. "Shut up. I'm serious," he says, but he's smiling through it.
Hawk shakes his head. "So am I. Your dad fucked up over and over... and over again, but you're too smart to let that happen."
"Yeah, but how do you know I'm not gonna fuck it up?"
Hawk pulls away and holds Robby by his face, making him look up and see him. He looks him in the eyes as he tells him, "Because I see the way you work with the kids at the youth center and how hard you try to get everything done for them, get then everything they need. You're already so great with those kids, so why not our kid?"
Robby doesn't know what to say. His throat is tight and hurts like he's going to start crying again. And he does, shrugging at the question because he truly doesn't know what the difference is. He just feels it and it scares him. Hawk kisses his tears away.
That's when Reader comes in and she's so confused. She looks so cute, a little lost, unaware of what's going on. It's a type of cluelessness and innocence Robby would like to keep intact because he doesn't want to bother her with his emotions and fears. He wants her to remain happy. But he can't look at her and her soft body the same now because he knows in a few months her pudgy tummy is going to round out into a prominent baby belly. And she's going to look even hotter, which he didn't think was possible because she's already so gorgeous.
"What's wrong? Did something happen?" she asks.
Robby shakes his head and smiles. And it's a true smile despite his fear. "I'm just really happy... but also scared out of my mind."
There no use in hiding his fears anymore. He knows Hawk won't hide these big feelings from her, so he tells her himself. And she pouts and comes over to him, hugging him and Hawk joins it too.
"Aww, honey, we're all a little scared," she says.
He looks at her. "But you're ready for this and I'm... I don't know if I am."
"Well, just because I said I was ready doesn't mean we're truly ready," she tells him, giggling. "It's so much to do and get ready and prepare for. You have time to get ready."
He nods gently, understanding what she's trying to say: us anyone ever really ready? He doesn't know. Maybe extremely prepared people, like Miguel and Sam, who were so elated when they found out they were having a bay that they just fell right into the prepping and planning process like pros. But they're still young, young and successful and supported by so many, they were likely only half ready.
Reader kisses Robby's cheek and smiles against his skin. "It's okay to not be ready, Robby. So long as you love us and we love you, were gonna be just fine."
He nods, unable to speak because he's scared if he does, he'll start crying again for a third time. He just basks in the hug from his partners, recharging off their energy. That's all he needs is them. And their excitement rubs off on him, making him smile when he thinks about the baby, his fears slowly fading.
And when he goes with Hawk and Reader jer first scan, they're all so excited. Though he nearly faints when he learns that they're not having just one baby, but two!
But it's okay, Hawk catches him. And he knows they're ready for this.

I can’t envision Jensen as Walker. I don’t love every acting decision Jared makes in the role (the high level of halting speech gets to me sometimes, even though I understand the reason), but he works as the central focus. Even though Walker is a bit quirky, he’s still steady enough to anchor the other characters around him.
I think Jensen would have suited the Hoyt type character better than Walker, though Matt Barr was perfectly cast in that role. Jensen does better as the charismatic foil or ally to the more steady lead. When he’s playing a more serious character, I typically find him less interesting (Dawson’s Creek, My Bloody Valentine). And it’s true, he’s a scene stealer, so you can’t have him trying to steal the focus from all side characters.
I’ve seen some people (even non AA/Heller types) claim that Jensen as Dean carried supernatural. First, I don’t agree at all because without both brothers the show would have flopped. But mainly, people who like Dean for his badassery or dick-ish charm don’t seem to realize that you need Sam to balance him out. All Dean, all the time would be too much. He lacks compassion a lot of the time and without his unhinged love for Sam, I think you’d lose sympathy for him much quicker. And only Dean and Cass would be doomed. Dean is the quirky one between Sam and him, but Cass is the quirky one with Sam or Dean because he’s weird by nature. Two quirky characters would cancel each other out if they were the leads, if you didn’t have a steady Sam type in the mix.
Anyway, my point is that Jared knows how to be an anchor (in the good sense), and while he too can be quirky, he’s a generous actor and happy to let others shine around him.
I think part of the reason Jensen hated Soulless Sam was because Jared became the scene stealer in the first half of season 6, and Jensen likes the attention.
I love that analogy of Jared being an anchor. It's an apt description that I think also applies to his work as EP. He's steady, reliable, and supportive, with an extra dose of love and humor.
Jared's had some good ideas in the past. Thinking Jensen could have led Walker is not one of them and I'm so glad it didn't get past the pitch stage.
(I'm guessing the opposite happened with S8's Purgatory arc for Jensen. He didn't have to share those scenes with Jared, which is why he loved it so much.)

"My stubborn smart rule bending wolf"
Post inversion one-shot
Word count: 930 words
Summary: after the inversion David, Milo, Darlin' and Sam are brought in for questioning but when they ask a sensitive question Darlin' snaps and shows them up.
Trigger warnings: Brief mention of what happened to Asher, the department agents being jerks, Darlin' badassery
NOT PROOFREAD
_________________________________________
They all made it out alive. Darlin' thought that was the only thing that mattered that day. They thought they might lose some if not all of their friends, and their partner.
But he was beside them now. He looked so tired. They didn't even know vampires could look tired, but their Sam did.
"Darlin'?" he asked suddenly. They turned to look at him and tilted their head in question.
"Your alpha is coming our way. I thought you ought to know that" he explained softly. Darlin's pulse quickened, and their mind was sent racing. He should be resting what the hell is he thinking?
After some somewhat loud footsteps, David came into view of the stubborn wolf. They took a quick glance at Sam, then sighed. Preparing for the worst. Don't get them wrong, they were thankful that their alpha survived this mess, but right now, the only thing on their mind was comforting their mate.
Then they saw them... Milo was coming right behind him. That wasn't good. Once the two wolf's reached the pair, They were surprised by what followed. "Sam, the department wants to talk to you as well" the alpha reluctantly said. They were shocked. Not entirely, of course, knowing the department they might ask a person who just saw their loved one die, about what happened. No remorse. But wait... This doesn't seem right. "Alright," Sam said finally. Their world flew out next without thought. "Can I come too?" Darlin' asked. With a questionable look from Milo, and a nod from David, Sam took their hands in his and they walked together. Slow, but heavy steps. Until a random thought popped up again. Would they question Asher too? The poor guy, Darlin' hoped they had at least have some ounce of decency to refrain from doing that.
They knew the second they saw those faces that they were in the right place. Followers of the law, 'til it prohibited them from getting something done. While that is usually okay, at least in their mind it was, they gave off this weird vibe that just wasn't right to the wolf.
"David Shaw, Milo Greer and Sam Collins?" said the tall man. The shorter one just looked at them while trying to be intimidating at least that's what Darlin' thought. The men nodded in unison. "And they?" The shorter one was now facing her. "A friend" that was the wolf's reply. Now two pairs of eyes were on them, but they continued nonetheless.
They sat down at the makeshift table, and the question started flying. At 1st it wasn't that bad, it was mostly just checking personal details, but then things took a turn for the worst.
"-And how many people did you lose?" Came the question from the shorter one. The alpha's face hardened, Milo's eyes narrowed and Darlin's jaw clenched. The agents were walking on thin ice. The patience of the stubborn wolf was wearing thin. David answered question after question, and most of them were not considerate of the fact that they just went through this shit. Then came the breaking point. "-And your beta, the one who got hurt, was it your fault?" the short one spoke again. David's eyes narrowed, Milo looked ready to kill someone, and Darlin' wasn't looking any better. Sam tries to solve the tense situation. "I don't think-" then Darlin' broke. "Don't answer that." Darlin' faced David. Then the agents. "You have to obey the law right?" They popped the t at the end. "This has nothing to do with your report. And everything to do with the fact that you want to get someone the people can blame for this. Someone that isn't D.U.M.P." they took a shaky breath but continued. "And by page 101 13th segment paragraph B: Those who made the difficult decisions in life and death (no matter if they are employed at the department or not) will have the right to choose which question they want to answer. And just a page later 17th segment paragraph C: if a person being questioned doesn't meet the requirements they are allowed to go until the event that would be talked about has passed by at least 24 hours. These requirements being that A person agreed to take part in it, B they don't have any lethal injuries, and C they have a lawyer present. The lawyer is important not because the person might be guilty of something but rather so that their safety and treatment during questioning (such as beverages, seating or even the questions themselves)." They were slightly out of breath by the end. The two looked boomed and with a huff and son deliberate death states sent Darlin's way they led them out of the area. David looked at the Tank and while Sam and Milo were distracted at what had just passed, he mouthed a quick thanks to what Darlin' just merely nodded. He then left. Milo then spoke "How- what even was that? How did you know all that?" Milo was still dumbfounded.
Darlin' almost smiled, as we told them. "You know what was the punishment for breaking the rules, right Milo?" he narrowed his eyes "Uh... Copying the book of laws! That makes more sense" the last sentence had some sparkle in sarcasm, Darlin' didn't miss but shrugged it off. They said their goodbyes and as Sam and they were getting home, he turned to them and kissed their forehead. Wrapped his arms around them and uttered softly "My stubborn smart rule bending wolf".

The Aching Cowardice of Tyler Rake
Tumblr media
The biggest accomplishment of Extraction 2 (2023) is that it’s better than the first film and the first film was great. Especially considering that it was conceived entirely post Extraction’s success when there were no plans for a sequel.
The story and screenplay of Extraction (2020) were too simple, and its dialogue in particular was not good. But Chris Hemsworth’s performance as Tyler Rake, Sam Hargrave’s direction, and the film’s sincere commitment to the action elevated it in its genre. Moreover, the film had a poignant take on masculinity and specifically father-son relationships. E2 takes everything from E1 forward. It betters the story, screenplay, and dialogue, along with the emotion, of course. And it ups the action 10-fold.
Tho I’m mostly in it for the emotional stuff. There is something about the villain of E1 taking that misguided Bangladeshi teenager under his wing when he himself is such a corrupt soul. And the uncle of the villain of E2 constantly advising him to not lose himself in revenge after living his whole life like that. A boy watches Tyler kill his father in E1, he’s no hero to this kid. And the boy he saves in E2 outright says he’s no hero when he saved him from his abusive father. So much to uncover.
This is why the biggest highlight of this series for me is Chris as Tyler. He is so ruthless as the mercenary that you just can’t take your eyes off him breaking bones and ripping people’s hands in half. So it stands out even more that his bravado and badassery in combat are contrasted with him being an absolute coward with his emotions. No joke, he would literally rather jump off a bridge than face anything. He says so himself. And I absolutely love it.
Like, what a wonderful human flaw to give to your badass protagonist who can clear a room full of enemies without breaking a sweat. But just can’t put in words why he needs to protect this druglord’s son at all costs.

now: fun stats time!
So there are 11 fills, all art, and as it's the winterhawk bingo there's… a lot of Clints and Buckies:
6 (55%) fills feature other characters than Clint and Bucky: Sam, Lucky, Alpine, Liho, tracksuit mafia members, a werebird kid and Loki, who are all there once except for Lucky and Alpine who are there twice.
5 (45%) fills feature only Clint and Bucky
5 (45%) fills feature non-human characters
3 (27%) fills feature animals. Which is honestly not that much I could have done better. There are clear missed opportunities for random dogs passing by and birds hanging out.
3 (27%) fills feature cars! That's a whole lot! and is unexpected enough in my arts that it should be noted.
medium, out of 11:
10 (91%) are digital art
4 (36%) contain written dialog
2 (18%) move
1 (9%) is clay
context, out of 11:
9 (82%) go with fic
6 (55%) are spontaneous illustrations (not bang/rbb related)
5 (45% of total, 83% of spontaneous illustrations) of those are from sara_holmes fics
4 (36% of total, 80% of sara_holmes fic illus) of those are from I'll keep you safe here with me.
3 (27%) were made for bangs/reverse bangs

10 Characters 10 Fandoms 10 5 Tags
Rules: choose 10 favorite characters from 10 different fandoms -- no double dipping! Then tag friends or mutuals to complete the game as well.
Tagged by @apocalypticavolition (who I extremely blame for making me pick favorites. I am now the Miette meme sending this mutual to jail for 1,000 years)
Top 10
Jaina Solo of the Star Wars Expanded Universe (technically its now the Legends Continuity, but fuck Disney for that) - The unhinged drama that the extended Skywalker and Solo clans has a special place in my heart, but Jaina's A+ mix of badassery, trauma, angst, communication issues, and severe allergy to feelings makes every stage of her life an absolute treat to watch. That and the fact that she is the last Solo kid standing as of Disney's murder of the EU makes her the best in my book. Teenage me DESPERATELY wanted to be Jaina Solo. Adult me wants to give her a hug and take her out for a synthale.
Lady Sybil Ramkin Vimes of Discworld - This might be a low-key surprise pick, since I have previously cited Granny Weatherwax and Sam Vimes as Discworld favorites, but Lady Sybil also holds a special place in my heart, because she is literally an amazing partner to Sam without losing any of her own interests and personality. She is also a complete badass in a quiet, competent way that adult, married me would give literal years of her life to have. And then there was the time she absolutely let Serafine HAVE IT because she was pregnant, being held hostage, and Sam's life was in danger, but the goddamn tipping point was that Serafine DIDNT RESPOND TO THE ANNUAL LETTERS. Perfection.
Iskierka from the Temeraire series - She breathes fire, she is a holy terror, and she is basically a pirate masquerading as a soldier. Iskierka is a queen without equal.
Briar Moss from the Circle Universe - I just desperately want to give this poor traumatized boy a hug, but he already has three sisters and two mothers to do that for him. I genuinely think Briar's three books are the best written and executed in the Circle Universe, and his journey feels deeply grounded in a way that the girls' don't, because within their origins and cultures, the girls all came from some level of privilege. Briar is a grounding force that I deeply appreciate.
Dau from the Warrior Bards trilogy - Dau, much like Briar, is in desperate need of a hug. Another traumatized boy, but his one literally has to go on a three-book arc to learn how to feel his feelings and how to people. Basically, we have to socialize him, and watching Liobhan try to do that is by turns hilarious, heartbreaking, and rage-inducing. Dau tries so hard that he makes everything about five times harder than it has to be.
Lan Chitward from the Valdemar Universe - OK, I might prefer guys who need hugs, because Lan is a beautifully executed tragic hero. This kid ends up half trained and sans mentor and support system on the front lines of a war with his lifebonded partner and the phyrric victory claims both their lives. Before that though, Lan gets to speed run found family, and it's just delicious because it twists the knife even deeper. I have my issues with Mercedes Lackey, but in Lan she nailed a tragic, doomed hero.
Penelope Featherington from Bridgerton - The Netflix series is objectively better than the book series, but even in the books Pen is my favorite. Our girl is a WRITER, and she isn't afraid to use that skill. There also aren't enough writer protagonists out there, so shoutout to this lovely one.
Fire from the Graceling Universe - Fire is a fascinating protagonist because she is quite literally a monster, and just existing in the world for her is an exercise in understanding what humanity is...even in those humans who lack it.
Ikenna from the Blood Gift universe - Our beautiful murder barbie is inimitable and frankly I want there to be MORE books with her. And murder barbie speaks to my heart in some extremely specific ways.
Nyneave Al'Meara from the Wheel of Time - *yanks braid, smooths skirts* Literally if I didn't pick her, Nyneave would walk out of those books and come for my head, and I would have no choice but to agree with her because she is very much the best.

Destiel vs Saileen - Solid Parallels: Sam is Cas & Dean is Eileen (& then they switch it for the leaving scenes parallel)
So...
can we talk about the obvious parallel between Destiel and Saileen in 15x09? The whole hostage thing and how it plays out?
youtube
(I know I talked about the main parallels in 15x09 and 15x18 & talked about Berens' three-act plan but man this particular parallel really slaps)
Sam and Eileen are taken hostage by Chuck (aka trapped)
In this scenario, Dean is very much represented by Eileen with her badassery with Chuck (not to mention she risks angering Chuck by discreetly calling Dean). Sam has the wound (aka mark) that he got from shooting Chuck in the season 14 finale. Chuck makes Eileen hurt Sam, forcing her to be his puppet. "It's gonna hurt her as much as it hurts you."
Sam: "It's okay. I know it's not you." "I'm gonna die in this chair, Chuck."
Eventually, Dean and Cas rescue Sam and Eileen. And Sam gives up their only weapon against Chuck, after Chuck showed him what would happen should they stop him right then.
Which leads to:
youtube
Eileen: "After what happened, I don't know what's real anymore."
Sam initiates the kiss and then says "I know that was real." Eileen doesn't say anything but nods, touches Sam's face, and then leaves, while looking back.
Tumblr media
And we see Sam's face when he also watches her (and we hear her leaving; notice Sam's teary eyes in this part of the scene):
Tumblr media
After the door closes (notice no slamming of it), Sam looks down and gets himself under control, and the very next shot:
Tumblr media
Sam appears in the doorway and both Dean and Cas look up in Sam's direction. And they have Dean ask "Did she leave?" When Sam confirms it, Dean says "Sorry" and then:
Tumblr media
After Sam explains that he believed Chuck's visions and Dean says that's good enough for him, Sam asks: "Okay, uh, so what now?"
Cas: "Well, Chuck's gone, but..."
Dean: "He'll be back."
Sam: "Well, if he we can't kill him or trap him..."
Dean: "We'll find another way."
And here is where the parallel comes in and how it all connects to Destiel:
In this same episode, Dean and Cas not only take a Leviathan hostage but also end up in a an almost similar situation to Sam and Eileen:
youtube
Dean and Cas walked unknowingly into a trap (same as Sam and Eileen, where they think it's one thing that ends up being another; the hunter Sue Eileen is helping is actually Chuck; looking for a Leviathan blossom becomes a Leviathan trap they're led into). Dean is knocked out and Cas is taken hostage and led to see Eve (aka the biggest entity in that realm).
When Dean wakes up, he looks for Cas but can't find him in time. But Cas had escaped and made his way back to the rift, waiting for Dean.
The Leviathan blossom will complete the spell to give Cas the Mark of Cain to defeat Chuck, which as we know will eventually lead to Cas needing to be buried in a Ma'lak box in Chuck's future visions.
Fast forward to 15x18, we have Cas telling Dean what Dean needs to hear, the truth about himself:
youtube
Dean: "Everybody's gonna die, Cas. Everybody. I can't stop it." (think back to Sam feeling helpless and giving up the weapon to Chuck because he & Dean & everyone else they loved would have died)
Tumblr media
(Dean is also wearing a green jacket, same as Eileen in the kiss scene in 15x09)
Cas literally dies facing an empty chair (think back to "I'm gonna die in this chair, Chuck"):
Tumblr media
Cas: "Ever since I took that burden, that curse, I wondered what it could be. What my true happiness could even look like." (think back to Sam taking the gun in 14x20 and shooting Chuck, knowing full well that it could kill him, instead he got the wound aka cursed, funnily enough on the same shoulder as:
Tumblr media
yep, the bloody handprint on the jacket, same shoulder as the one that had the brand)
"And you think that's what drives you, that's who you are. And it's not." (see Sam's words to Eileen above - "It's okay. I know it's not you.")
And then rewind to 15x02:
youtube
Dean: "It turns out we're just hamsters running in a wheel our whole lives." (Dean feels like a puppet in Chuck's play/show) "I'll tell you what we do know. Nothing about our lives is real."
Cas: "Maybe Chuck designed the obstacles, but we ran our own race. We made our own moves." "You asked what about all of this is real. We are."
And of course, that infamous 15x03 scene:
youtube
Where we not only hear Cas leaving (door closing is much louder which of course is indicative to the emotion of the scene) but see Dean watching as he does. And while we don't see Dean teary-eyed here (like Sam in 15x09), we do see in 15x18:
Tumblr media
They literally had Cas & Sam echoing each other while Dean & Eileen did. (which is real interesting when you think back to the whole does Dean love Cas back question, just sayin')
Then they switched it where Eileen left like Cas did, and Sam watched as did Dean.
They literally had the two relationships echoing each other this closely.
I swear if I ever somehow got to pick J2M's brains, you better believe I'm asking about the parallels between these two. They're so on the fucking nose it's uncanny.
Look out boys, I've got receipts and a lottttttt of questions.

10 characters, 10 fandoms, 10 tags
Thanks @bookshelfdreams for the tag <3 (did I mention that i love these tag thingies? Because I do! :D).
Sam Vimes (Discworld) My captain, my darling, my one true love. No other fictional character has made me feel so much for so many years. His journey from drunken excuse for a night guard to (reluctant) shiny beacon of unrelentless pursuit of justice is one of the most human and complex examples I've ever read.
Ed(ward) "Blackbeard" Teach (Our Flag Means Death) My baby! I feel like he needs no introduction and no explanation for being on this list XD
Tara Maclay (Buffy The Vampire Slayer) I loved Tara from the first moment she appeared on screen, all shy and gentle and profoundly human. I loved watching her grow into herself while keeping the core of her character intact.
Harry Du Bois (Disco Elysium) A very recent one, but I feel strongly for this amnesyac deranged bisexual disaster man.
Roy Kent (Ted Lasso) Ok, so maybe I have a soft spot for gruff middle aged men with a heart of gold. So what.
Diane Lockhart (The Good Wife/The Good Fight) Queen. There's something about her mix of dry humor, strong caring and general badassery that is just <3
Ben Shakir (Evil) Oh Ben <3 The unshakable atheist in an increasingly incomprehensible reality. Funny, smart, perceptive Ben. I love him very much.
Angus Delaney (Night in the Woods) Every interaction Mae has with Angus is my favourite part of the game. He has been through shit, but somehow managed to come out of it gentle and loving.
Roy Walker (The Fall) My heart aches just thinking about him. My broken baby. (so maybe I also have a soft spot for broken disaster characters. so what)
Gretchen Cutler (You're the Worst) I love her. I just love her. Such a terrible human being most of the time.
Tagging @malvolios-yellow-stockings, @nestingnomad, @drups, @armouredheart, @marionthegeek, @lilysunderhassomegayness, @fuckyeahpikacha, @bisexualtedlasso, @dailydoseofsquee, @theastonishingavengers (of course only if you think it's fun!)

WHEN IN DOUBT THROW EVERYTHING OUT THE WINDOW AND HOPE SOMETHING STICKS THE LANDING
Was my philosophy as I was so frustrated at designing human Sunstreaker so I said what will happen happenes, put on punk tactics and drew
Tumblr media
✨He✨
I love him so much, the pose! Oh the pose I’m so proud of myself it’s great, it’s just a rough up but I am in love 🥰
I couldn’t decide shorts or squorts cause I was using gen one robot for reference and inspiration, so I leave it up for interpretation
Should he wear thigh high strapped boots for optimal badassery?
Tumblr media
Details of Sunstreaker if you don’t wanna read about the au I’ve thrown together
- he’s around the 6’6 range which isn’t uncommon, almost average height
- gets fuzzier and more wolfie with more adrenaline or just cause he’s in a silly goofy mood
- does bite
- has broken a watermelon between his thighs
- I choose to make him wolfy because I loved his helm horns? And their obviously very iconic with him and hair wasn’t working with me so the only option was wolf ears
~ boring au rambling~
So not only did a glorious joke of designing the autobot equivalent of a hooters uniform start but also my spiraling into a hotpot mess of an au, like we’ve got a little bit of everything.
Intergalactic Government baybeeeee
Basically Cybertron is being socially distant and doesn’t want to exactly join in on intergalactic business, but intergalactic management says fine we get it, but don’t care much either way so you must have one intergalactic-gov mandated worker live on world and they send us reports.
Thus Cybertron trying to keep a war lowkey so they don’t get reported and the intergalactic government steps in.
Thus a spanner is thrown into the works when Sam from earth assigned by the IGGIES gets dragged into a chain reaction. Man’s just trying to get his reports sent.

Supernatural Battle of the Episodes!
Red Meat came away the winner of the Sam Winchester Badassery match up! I personally like 12x01 more but I still love Red Meat so I'm not bitter! It was the closest match it had so far!
However, the sexy torture has not ended yet so let's get it going!
Chuck: Next up we have Mama Mia - Toni Continues to torture Sam and we get a gratuitous shirtless scene! Dean catches up with Sam and manages to get captured himself, so they have to be saved by Mom!

2,10, and 23 for the salty asks <3
omg i think you're gonna regret asking me, because this is so long 😬
2. Are there any popular fandom OTPs you only BroTP?*
Nancy Drew - Bess and Odette. She barely knew the lady! Give my queen some recovery period from her *ehm* HUNDRED YEARS OF TRAUMA before wanting to jump the bones of the body she's possessing RNM - It's weird, but Max and Anatsa. I could never picture them, even as a fling. TVD - Jeremy and Bonnie. when they were together, it was actually an illegal ship y'all. Jeremy was 16, and Bonnie was 18-19. I really wished they'd just bonded as a human connection to Elena and not... yk, ghost-shagged each other Gilmore Girls - LANE AND ZACH. where did they even come from? out of thin air that's where. Lane deserved her happy ending with Dave Rygalski and I will die on this hill. Teen Wolf - (brace yourself) Lydia and Parrish. Malia and Parrish. Melissa and Argent. wtf? at this point I'm pretty sure Jeff Davis just played chits and picked his ships randomly. All of Parrish's ships are ew (that's just his luck unfortunately) and Melissa with Peter would have been the best choice are you kidding me? ARGENT AND MELISSA'S KIDS WERE TOGETHER, and not even fwb-together. like SOULMATE together! Grey's Anatomy - Addison and Alex. They couldn't cash in major potential there. She was the right amount of bitchy to get him off his macho ass. Not everyone has to sleep with everyone Miss Shonda! Also, Teddy and Owen. They're best as friends, because (i hate to admit this) Teddy was right in s18 (was it 19, i think it was 19?) when she told Link to stay away from Jo because marrying best friends and then hating them in marriage is sad.
10. Most disliked arc? Why?
RNM - Again, the Max-Anatsa storyline. It's like, again, they played chits with who she should be with. My Max is not the one-night stand kinda guy (which I'm proud of, representation of my soul) and him sleeping with Anatsa and then just dropping her is WACKY. Isobel and Anatsa were so much better, and had good development Nancy Drew - Park's arc. The writers had the potential in their very hands and chucked it themselves. Park as the ISM/FHK would have made so much sense, it would have been the best direction for his appearance. TVD - The entire Alaric x Caroline thing. HATED THAT. HATED THAT the way Ashley Ippolito hates Nate Jacobs. He's like 15 years older than her and IS HER BEST FRIEND'S STEPDAD. And the Alaric and Stefan pissing contest for Caroline. Dear writers you didn't give Caroline Forbes the Elle Woods arc she deserved to put her in this dump of a situation! Gilmore Girls - Married Dean cheating thing. "He's MY Dean" Rory honey go touch some grass and juggle some balls. He's fucking married and as your mother once said "Solidarity Sister". Lindsey wasn't all that bad, and she definitely deserved better than being cheated on at the age of 19. Teen Wolf - Argent and Melissa. Explained above. Notice how in the movie, Argent and Melissa didn't really have any romantic/close scene without a third wheel (thank God)? It's like Jeff Davis finally realized that oh shit, aren't their respective kids the main reason this all started? Grey's Anatomy - Jackson and Maggie. Just— NO.
23. Unpopular character you love?
Nancy Drew - everyone loves everyone in this one. so I can't really say anything divergent RNM - i think we love everyone right? TVD - VIncent Griffith (does he count? idk but I love his humor and badassery). Oh, and also Valerie Tulle. She was sweet while she lasted wasn't she? I honestly saw more in Stellerie than in Steroline (why you booing me when I'm right!) Gilmore Girls - Lindsey. Just because her taste in music is different from Rory and Jess's, doesn't mean she's not a good human. She tried so much to keep her marriage afloat, and I've never seen her be rude like Rory to Shane. Grey's Anatomy - Sam Bello (basically foetus Liz Ortecho) because she's the sweetest most bubbly thing after firecrackers in honey.
thanks for the ask man, omg i love being salty

Beloved, for the ao3 wrapped…
1. How many words have you written this year?
3. What work are you most proud of (regardless of kudos/hits)?
7. If you use song lyrics, which artist’s songs did you pull from the most?
10. What work was the quickest to write?
16. What’s your most common “Additional Tags” tag?
18. The character that gave you the most trouble writing this year?
27. What do you listen to while writing?
31. Is it necessary to watch The Walking Dead to read your Richonne? I have fomo but no to zombies and I can’t commit to anything with 11 seasons unless I already started.
20K +
3. Every Little Thing because it's just so painful. It is the saddest, most painful, hurtful thing I have ever written, and it was nice to get it written down to channel my grief.
7. I don't think I used song lyrics this year. Oh wait, maybe something by Ho99o9.
10. It's usually one of the bingo square fills because they don't take a bunch of planning - they're responding to a quick prompt. I'd say it was Seeing the Lights. That one-shot just fell outta me.
16. Sam Wilson Needs a Hug
18. Steve Rogers.
27. I have this playlist I listen to when I'm painting, and I sometimes put it on.
31. Hehe I love that you added your own question to this.
There's a thing we call the Richonne Movie that someone made that's a video all of their scenes put together. We end up losing the link to it every once in a while as a whole fandom, but if I find it, I'll send it to you.
Separately, Rick and Michonne are really cool, interesting characters. Lot of badassery. Lot of trauma. They are literally Enemies (loosely) to Allies to Friends to Lovers. It's fucking incredible to watch, because you get this great love story, between these two hardened warriors, who are literally ONLY SOFT with one another and their kids. This mature relationship built on mutual respect and friendship between people in their 30s/40s and it's set in the Zombie Apocalypse. Like, what? Lol
You can read my stuff without ever watching the show. My favourite character to write is Rick Grimes because he gets away with so much stuff in the Richonne fandom. Seriously. You can have him murder a small village and the fandom's like, "You're doing amazing, sweetie."
There's very specific plot stuff that directly impacts who these characters are, and why it was important for them to end up together. They have never been comic book canon - they were written together in the show because Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira had so much great chemistry that the showrunner - who was also still a writer at the time - wrote them together. It was a slow burn, but it was so wonderful when it happened. Anyhoo, I'll shut up now, otherwise I'll be here all day talking about them.

Litcherally cannot decide between samwena and saileen, both god tier nearly-canon ships, I'm a monogamy truther and yetttttttt,,,,,,, both women are so compelling and have insane chemistry with the man and potential and badassery and should be destined to be Sam's wife lmao I just CAN'T get with the poly thing cuz I have a feeling Sam's pretty monogamist too and I'm so torn I want BOTH OF THEM TO END UP WITH SAM THEY DESERVE HIS UNDIVIDED ATTENTION AND SAM DESERVES BOTH I JUST CANNNNNNNNTTTTTTT HANDLE THIS
ASLDFKJFFK i totally get it anon!!! though i do prefer samwena myself, i have so much love for saileen (and eileen just in general) 💜 but i get how it is being unable to choose, i feel that way with all the different dean ships i love!!
if you can't get on board with saileena or choosing just one ship, might i suggest eileen/rowena instead? sam can just be their awkward ex third wheel lmao

Talk about your most positive RP experience
Oh goodness where do I start? I am having the most fun with my rp experience now! I never would have thought my return would have consisted of meeting amazing people within the same fandom! Like literally!! I love my friends/rp partners and they deserve all of the love! Show some love to these folks!!
@ofwaywardsunshine / @shook-me-all-night-long / @offorester - The best Sam I have met and goes into detail about some concepts SPN did not expand upon! A wonderful muse and an even sweeter admin! ❤️
@gabrielthegoober - The reason why I fell in love with Gabriel and the admin and always have the best crack rp/crack ship! Ilysm!!
@estrangedaframian - My first introduction to the SPN universe and their Dean is amazing! Is one of the main reasons that I fell in love with Dean as a character and their roleplays are always eventful while remaining comical!
@righteouslysin - Another Dean that I have fell in love with! The endless amount of crack and general badassery that takes place is hilarious.
@paradiseturnedhell - A wonderful writer that expands on the darker sides of SPN and gives a great amount of angst and dark themes. I love them!!

Samurai-ish movies and shows you might enjoy
Rick and Morty Samurai & Shogun - An homage to Lone Wolf and Cub, they reenact many of the iconic scenes from the movies with over the top blood spraying of course.
The Mandalorian - Lone Wolf and Cub a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. Complete with floaty pram and “child”, armor, swords, and plenty of melee fights. No blood though, as it’s made by the feckless bellends at Disney.
Witcher Blood Origin - A familiar Samurai plot—seven estranged uh… strangers band together to fight corrupt and oppressive bullies. What makes this show truly enjoyable are the one-cut fight scenes. The camera never stops rolling—no jumpy quick-cutting. Although it has a handheld feel, it’s far from your ubiquitous shaky cam. You get to really appreciate the fight choreography blow-by-blow, attacks, blocks and dodges. You understand why the characters react the way they do and see their different styles. My only complaint is that Michelle Yeoh gets too little screen time.
Mad Max Fury Road -  Believe it or not, this is yet another story of seven outcasts who go up against a cretinous villain and his band of retards. They could’ve really shit the tub on this one, but it turned out perfect in my (ed: not so) humble opinion. It’s pure action with just enough reprieve to catch your breath and care about the characters. Charlize Theron as Furiosa, gotta love that name, kicks major ass and Tom Hardy plays the best Max ever. The fantastic and truly menacing vehicles are real and they use as many practical effects as they can. Kubrick was right, film is both entertainment and art. This movie is brilliantly both, so watch it more than once. The Black & Chrome edition is pretty damn cool.
Cowboy Bebop (live action version) - I like that it's close enough to the animated series without slavishly following the source material. What's Samurai-ish about it? Sword play, death and mayhem, clans, themes of honor and duty, hot chicks, and plenty of retards (ed: you need to stop using that term) yeah, but… (ed: yeah but nothing). However, quite unlike many Samurai flicks there's plenty of hilarious dialogue, such as
Jet: ...we’re gonna need Woodcock.
Spike: I'm praying that’s a person.
Extraction - A Chris Hemsworth showcase. He plays an angsty mercenary contracted to rescue the kidnapped nerdy son of a crime lord. Once again we have incredible one-cut fight scenes—long single shots that follow the action even through buildings and streets. So many retards eating shit in so many different ways. LoL
Extraction 2 - Starts right where the first one ended and it's even better.
Close (2019) - The amazing Noomi Rapace plays Sam, a former badass for hire turned unwilling nanny. Trouble ensues when she’s assigned to watch over Zoe, the spoiled brat of a corporate Überbetch. Things escalate quickly after Sam thwarts an attempt to kidnap Zoe and returns to her badassery. Expect the usual high-tensile steel action, things blowing up, blood, guts, hot chicks, and plenty of retards. Strong female characters always a plus.
ZVP - Zatoichi vs Predator. Enough said. Find it. Watch it.
Conan the Barbarian (1982) - Although it has plenty to attract Samurai movie fans, this flick was very much inspired by Japanese horror. There are creepy molesty spirits and hot lusty witches. The Snake Clan is all about possession. If you can get past the cheese ball characters with 80s hairdos (James Earl Jones has bangs) it's an enjoyable watch with plenty of action, minimal dialogue, hippy-dip retards, amazing landscapes, and pretty horses. One of Schwarzenegger's best roles. He actually worked with a Kendo master for the film. Costar Sandahl Bergman won multiple awards for her portrayal of Valeria, who is much more than just eye candy or love interest.
And… I’ve recently been told that the term “retard” is somehow derogatory of idiots, morons, and imbeciles. So, from now on I’ll be using the term "tard," which is French for "retard." Sorry for any confusion. Just think “retard” to yourself. I don’t want anyone to think I’m insensitive to the feelings of you tards, so even though you can't read (ed: pretty sure they can) feel free to assume that I sincerely apologize to anyone I’ve offended, if it makes you feel better.
