Dear new Splatoon players,

First welcome to the game and fandom!!! I hope you all have a wonderful time here and you have fun! I wanted to give you guys some fresh tips that’ll be super helpful to know as early as possible!

1. BOOYAH BACK

If someone booyahs in the beginning of the match? Booyah back! It’s like a team rally saying “We got this go team!” If someone booyahs when you help them splat someone, save them from getting splatted or after you splat the person who splatted them? Booyah back! They are saying “Thank you!” If someone booyahs at all booyah back!

2. Glowflies

If you’re playing Salmon run and the Glowflies go for your sweet little squid or octo ass GET TO THE HIGHEST POINT OF THE MAP AND STAY THERE! Not only will this make it easier for your teammates to take out the salmonids but will also keep you alive! Now if you are on the other end and are protecting your teammate don’t forget to let the Goldie get close to the basket before killing it!

3. Have fun!

Last but not least one of the most important tips have fun and be kind to others! We’d like this to be a nice fun place for everyone so please help keep it like that! Happy inking everyone!

Final fest idea future-present-past

I know that a lot of people have said this already but this is what I think they will do/ what I would do.

Future/Present/Past

I know that it sounds backwards but Shiver is def more future and I would switch Frye and Big man but future/past/present sounds worse but that would be the ideal team for me.

Future- 1. next gen, like if the current idols were to have kids, it would be them, or at the very least kids their age. We could see adult donny and shelly, Harmony could be older, this is self indulgent but I would be down for a pearlina child (besides 8). I dont know what the story would be, maybe something to do with the zapfish again but someone new, it could be more about the metro, but idk how that would work exactly. It could also be virtual… idk. 2. Far into the future. Squid sisters, off the hook, deep cut, they are all legendary, but many many many idols have taken their role since then. Captain 3 is nearing the cuttlefish's age. Its a completely new cast with only mentions of long times ago when these idols were in their prime/alive. This woul dbe great for a new species, as octos have been basically fully integrated and not a new group is the minority(the cycle continues and such).

Present- 1. More of what we have. We see all the idols again, maybe not as big but they are all existing, doing something in the world. We would probably see the zapfish get taken again, similar formula but basically what theyve been doing, maybe we get 4 idols, new species maybe? Idk but you get the idea. 2. Same time period, different part of the world. We could have oth world tour mentioned, maybe instead of squids and octos, this city is a whole different species, like we could get sharks or vampire squids, probably in addition to the pre existing squids and octos though. But this would be a great opportunity for more species to be added without having to be like “oh they escaped/ are being integrated” again. The story could be basically anything, it could be something to go with the other species history, or maybe it can play into the second place, like if future wins then it is about planning, if its past then maybe more on the history, but it takes place right around now.

Past- 1. Octarian soldier. I would say squidbeak, but there is only so much you can do with Callie and Marie, you would need to retroactively add a whole agent… yeah. I think this could be sick, we could have to fight inklings, we can have Mariana come back, een some agent 8 references. I think that the goal would either be to get out of the octarian society or like be an elite. Maybe this is where they could make choices you make change the story… but that might be a bit ambitious for splatoon. I can still hope. 2. The past past. Like og squidbeak splatoon. You are in a war with the octarians, or inklings. Maybe we get 2 story modes. Who knows. But this takes place long before the squid sisters, gramps isnt even a father yet. We could see how they got to the separation, we would have skinny jude. The hud would be kind of bornign but I would king of pokemon legends arceus, we could wven have other characters ancestors show up and stuff. 3. Like before inklings and octolings were fully humanoid. Like this is crazy unrealistic and they would be starting from scratch but it would be sick for them to be like “ok we are going back to prehistoric times, no new hair styles, no current gear, you dont even have the news, you have to read everything on scrolls.” like that would probably sink the franchise but you have to admit, it they really went through with it that takes balls

What are your hopes/theorys for side order? :>

(Sorry this took so long to answer! I was having a lot of trouble forming my thoughts about it.) My hopes for Side Order... Well, one of my main hopes is that it'll be really good. I hope that neither Marina or Acht are the villain. I used to think that Agent 4 had to be in Side Order, but after a while I stopped expecting it, but I would still like to see Four in there. In general I'm really excited for Acht to have a big role in the story after so long. It was so surprising to see that they have connections with Marina. As for theories though.. Hmmm... I don't have too many interesting theories that haven't already been figured out by the community (that it probably takes place in virtual reality, that Acht's bandage is suspiciously at the same area of the weird thing around Eight's arm, etc), however I do think either Barry C., the owner of Hotlantis, might have something to do with it since there's various items in the background of some of the stages, or Glen Fiddler, the builder of Splatoon 3's battle lobby, who I'm even more suspicious of. More under the cut cause I wrote... a lot..

Glen Fiddler has a lot of strange things going on with him. He has a 3d model and two seperate renders in a sunken scroll, even though it would be much easier to just draw him there. Why have a whole 3d model if that character isn't gonna show up in-game eventually? It seems like a waste of time, especially when most things like that are drawn or use existing models to render something in the Splatoon franchise. The specific sunken scroll he appears in mainly focuses on monochrome colors, which is also similar to side order. I've seen multiple people, including myself, suspicious of the Copy Machine (especially after Splatoween, where if you inked the whole lobby there would be fish skeleton decals point to the Copy Machine?? (I know snowflakes replace the fish skeleton decals exact spots in Frostyfest but still)) which happens to be located in the lobby that Glen Fiddler built. Another suspicious character with a sunken scroll is Marigold, or the staff. She specifically runs Crab-N-Go in the lobby (that again, Glen Fiddler built) and shows up multiple times throughout the game with different jobs/purposes. Also, something I often see is that people think there are only 3 Marigolds throughout the game. But there's another in Grizzco that I barely see people talk about. If you check your rewards in Grizzco, someone is there to trade various items for scales. If you play without audio, you might not notice, but the voice of the person here is the same as Marigold's. Not to mention, they talk similarly to her too, with the same mannerisms. Frequent use of the name "dear" or "dearie." Marigold's situation is odd, as she has many aliases in many different places. It might be a cloning situation (which is very suspicious seeing as the first Side Order trailer had a shot of multiple Agent 8s, 1 looking normal, the other two looking almost holographic?), but that's not the point. The point is that Marigold has some shady stuff going on, the other besides her having so many aliases being that she works at Grizzco, a company that over the years has become less shady but still a bit shady. It's a bit odd she's everywhere for battle stuff (Crab-N-Go, Tableturf, Recon). Besides main suspects... I don't think Lil Judd is going to be involved. I feel like if he has a whole thing going on, he'd be the villain of a different single player campaign. Side Order just doesn't seem to fit what they're planning with him. I guess the skeletal fish enemies kinda line up with Salmon Run, which Lil Judd has many ties to? But besides that it doesn't make that much sense to me. If Lil Judd got anything it would be in like, Splatoon 4. Or a spinoff game. Or something. But there's way too much weird stuff happening with him for them to NOT do anything with that eventually, so I doubt this is the final Splatoon game. That got a bit off topic, but I really don't have any other Side Order theories yet.. Thank you for asking this, by the way! It's always very fun to talk extensively about my special interests :D

Multiple KH Characters and Their Favorite Video Games!

Destiny Island Trio: 

Sora: Fighting games- preferably Smash. He mains himself main characters (Mario, Link, Kirby, FE protags). He sucks. He is the guy who button mashes and corners players to beat the hell out of them. 

Riku: Fighting games- preferably Tekken or Street Fighter. Mains Jin or Lee. Attempts to be strategic but gets way too competitive fast and is busy mashing all the buttons off the controller. 

Kairi: Way too good at fighting games. But she’d probably play lots of Pokemon or monster collecting games. She has many setups that are both competitive or just fun ones for a fun challenge. 

Sea Salt Family: 

Roxas: Persona fanboy. He hasn’t played 1-2 but he can’t pick a favorite between 3-5. Plays all the spinoffs or has someone else play them for him. His favorite characters are the protagonists. Hears jazz music and assumes this is a Persona 5 reference. 

Xion: Resident DMC and Souls-like player. Girl is a monster on the controllers despite being just being born. The way she can effortlessly combo and dodge all attacks makes her a fearsome opponent. 

Axel: Mario Kart. Axel is pretty average at video games (unless they’re like, retro or arcade) but Mario Kart? He’s on it like Donkey Kong. He mains Funky Kong. 

Saix: He has two wolves inside him- the logical gamer and the second, more absurd gamer. Sometimes he wants to unwind, so he might pick up a basic platformer like Mario or Sonic, but on the other side- he’s a menace in a Warriors game. He’s hacking and slashing. He’s killing everyone in his path. Also, he’s a completionist.  He has to get the best markings and everything. Won’t settle for less. 

Wayfinder Trio: 

Terra: Minecraft and fighting games. He tries his best lmao. He’s just got pretty big hands so often he messes up with combos but he’s also pretty impatient and tends to spam certain moves.

Aqua: Rhythm games definitely. Watch her effortlessly get all perfect scores in one try. Even the hardest OSU! map has nothing on Aqua. She also kicks ass at fighting games. 

Ventus: He likes Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games and Mario Party. He always loses at almost any game against his friends though. 

Bonus Characters: 

Namine: I feel like she enjoys visual novels and Okami. She really loves aesthetic games and is a patient player. 

Xemnas: does not play video games beyond Candy Crush or Solitaire. You kids and your “Splatoons” or “Bayonettas”, go pick up an old Final Fantasy game smh. 

Xigbar: Call of Duty. Fortnite. PUBG. Overwatch. He’s a menace and plays all sorts of FPS games. His sniping abilities IRL translate very well into games. Also likes the Hitman games. 

Vexen: Bookworm and civilization manager games. He’s big on Age of Empires and is a top talent within the community. He loves playing as the Vikings or Mayans for competitive play. He’s also made many custom maps. 

Zexion: Tower Defense managers and Ace Attorney. He loves deducing the crime or finding the best way to defend his base with the minimum amount of units possible. 

Xaldin: He doesn’t play games (lie). He plays romantic visual novels. Plays all kinds of them. Otomes too. He is a lonely man. Also loves cooking games. 

Lexaeus: farming games. He just has a fun time playing Story of Seasons. Rune Factory is nice too but he prefers SoS because he loves the farming aspect more. 

Demyx: Guitar Hero. No argument. This man did all the crazy achievements and was going at it for days.

Luxord: Yeah yeah solitaire and gambling- have you considered he loves playing the Yakuza games? Well now you do. He loves the games dearly and cherishes them and likes to be the biggest Yakuza on the block. Also yeah, he plays lot of gacha games. 

Marluxia: Doesn’t really play video games, but he’d most likely play some horror games with Larxene or town management games. 

Larxene: Horror games or multiplayer games where she can troll people. Banned from multiple servers and people refuse to play with her minus Marluxia. Aesthetically though she loves Trish from DMC and thinks Vergil is number one. 

How I'll Go About Showing Side Order Leaks

So as some or most of y'all know, a bunch of code related to Side Order was found in Splatoon 3 a few days back and folks may or may not be in the process of uncovering them. With this being said, there may or may not be spoilers coming out alongside the uncovering of the 60 thousand strands of code.

I plan on sharing at least some leaks just to satisfy the hunger of all of y'all who are just itching to finally play the game (also I find looking at game code before the actual content comes out; I like seeing stuff that was datamined before hand become a reality) whenever leaks come out, but since there's a bunch of stuff coming (if dataminers can decypher all that code) there has to be limits to what should be posted online so the story isn't completely spoiled.

What leaks would I be covering?

Anything regarding smaller, more common enemies like the skelly fish bot bois

Level types like the potential return of 8-ball levels datamined over the summer

Gear you could win from playing the DLC (if they aren't super spoiler-y) (really hoping there's a chance we can get dedf1sh's gear. what can I say? they're just so neat)

Depending on the internal name, bosses (I won't cover them if I feel like the internal name might ensinuate that an existing character like Marina, Agent 4, or whoever folks think might be the big bad of Side Order might be will be someone we'll fight in the DLC) (we already have ballking and towerking as datamined bosses, but those names are kinda vauge)

Models for already established characters/enemies like our main crew of the DLC (Agent 8, Pearlbot, and Acht/dedf1sh) (if any models are found, but as far as we know only code has been uncovered in the datamine.

What leaks would I avoid?

Models for the big bads (if any models are found)

Anything pointing towards a major plotpoint like dialouge or something like that

Any sort of spoiler-y gear (as previously stated)

idk what else dataminers could find that might spoil the DLC for me or others but if it spoils the story just count me out bruh

Hmm let's start off with some original characters

Evix (they/them) is one that I've actually been working a lot more on lately !! They're kinda like an undead creature and live on essentially a post-apocalyptic Earth centuries later (might make a whole separate post on all that eventually because they're a part of an original species I wanna make)

Uhh then some original humans (w/ powers ofc) would include Anthony (he/him, one of my oldest OCs creation wise, in short a traumatized young adult with horrible anxiety and is struggling to get thru life 🗣️), Raymond and his niece Raven ( he/him & she/her, victims of loss of a brother and father (respectively), and they live in a world where ppl have elemental-based abilities !), and uhh Kacey (they/she/he, specifically with a c-- they're a cyborg (lost an arm) with no recollection of who they were (calls themself Kacey because of initials "K.C" branded on their robo arm (it stands for their actual name, Katya Cameron)))💥

[unfortunately not gonna doodle any of my other OCs so Evix can have special treatment LMAO]

Next up we got uhh some D&D characters !! [Who actually I have Hero Forge figures of so I'll add those]

Starting off with the first legit D&D character I've made, Glow of the Sun (aka "Sun" - she/her) 😼 Tabaxi Druid (Circle of the Shepard)!! After escaping the massacre of her tribe in the forest, Sun was taken in and mentored by a human druid named Sage (they/them)

Another one I got would be Gale (he/they), who's more-so inspired by my first attempt at a D&D character (who then got scrapped). But basically he's an Air Genasi Warlock (Pact of the Tome) that was raised only by his father until he managed to contact his mother (who was a djinn (an air genie) !! so yea, his patron's his mom LMAO [His Hero Forge is outdated so please keep that in mind ☹️ ]

Lets see ermm I also got !! A Dragonborn Artificer (Battle Smith) named Kai (real name Kazys) Tempest (she/her). Paralyzed from the waist down upon . hatching? She was left to be raised by her mother, which left the little dragonborn spiteful to show that she isn't useless. So she learned and became someone who creates things like prosthetics and kinds of aids to help others who may need it :D

I'll then drop off a last D&D character for now (cuz I rlly do have a lot), but this one's a personal favorite !! Meet Bone (she/he/they/it [does not care]), my funny lil Goblin Barbarian (Path of the Beast) !! Abandoned by her tribe and miraculously raised by a pack of wolves, this feral lil goblin spends her days living a free and wild life while causing problems for adventurers and the like who cross her path :3

Anddd onto the final stretch, we got some Homestuck OCs !! [Which btw I have models made by Xamag's Fantroll Creator (which I also edited a lil) so ermm]

Starting off with my personal fav, here's Arvenii Traket (she/her, Sign: Gemun, Derse + Breath). Goldblood with telekinetic psiionics, this smart(-ish) lil gamer is a hot-headed, anti-social introvert that enjoys things like cosplaying and programming 💥💥

Obviously then gotta follow up with her moirail, Teikai Dregut (he/him, Sign: Lenius, Prospit + Hope) !? A very idiotic yet excitable Oliveblood that loves to run, talk, play tricks, and hang out with his bestie (they tend to take care of each other otherwise they'd constantly not do things like eat or shower 💀)

What else uuuhhhh . How 'bout I drop Raiiko Ekneer (she/her, Sign: Scoriborn, Derse + Rage) !? A laidback, prideful brute of a Ceruleanbloodthat enjoys FLARPing and taking people's treasure/valuables 💥💥 Fun fact tho !! She used to FLARP with Teikai back in the day (he doesn't play anymore). Anyway she doesn't really have many braincells yet she managed to score a kismesis and moirail LMAO

And then I think I'll drop off her kismesis cuz ngl I rlly wanted to show them together 😩but meet Valeri Krovet (she/her, Sign: Sagigo, Prospit + Space) !! This Indigoblood is yet another blue business woman who specializes and takes pride in creating custom weapons of high quality. Can be a little snappy, mainly due to agitation of being on high alert 24/7 (had a gnarly, violent experience when she was younger), but yea :3

What if I was also silly tho and dropped the rest of my main HS OCs' lil models (i would talk abt all of them in more detail but thats A LOT of text ,) 🥴🥴

I do also wanna mention that I have. Ancestors and Dancestors for these guys as well . AS WELL AS OCS THAT ARENT APART OF THE MAIN 12-- Thats a whole other thing tho

How did you get into Fire Emblem? Older brother has exposed me to many franchises I liked, with this time being him showing me a bit of FE7 on his totally legal GBA. From there I eventually played it myself but first got to complete Awakening later on and it snowballed from there.

What Fire Emblem games have you played? All of them barring FE1, 3, 5, and Three Hopes. FE4 is also technically there but I have attempted to start it many times; oh and FE12 as well.

How did you find TOA? Short story: N. Longer-ish story: I started to desire trying to RP again, especially with my rekindled interest in FE thanks to Engage's reception, and then I begun hanging out with N more and he told me more about this place. Yeah, said it was only longer-ish.

Current TOA muses: Mae, Sonya

Who was your first TOA muse? If you don’t have them anymore, could you see yourself picking them up again? Mae is someone I saw (not too highly) placed on 2022-2023's Most Wanted list and I knew I wanted to do an Echoes muse to start. I don't know if they mesh with my own personality/style well, but they are definitely fun to play around with still. :>

Have you had any other TOA muses? Shamir was a short project that got smashed up due to a busy summer/nerves, but I do want to visit her again someday. Her voice and personality is very strong, but might not be for me.

Do you think you have a type of character you gravitate towards? Magic cool. Pegasus knights cool. Sword people cool! Personality-wise, I think I try to veer more toward social muses, which like I said w/ Mae doesn't really fit me in real life but...hehe.

What do you believe you enjoy writing the most? I'm still trying to find a general vibe, but I really do like writing scenarios that deep-dive into muses' thoughts, like...not 100% angst, but still not light?

Favorite TOA-related memory: I'm still young but running in right as everyone started kissing each other and being able to join was...very good.

Got any delusions that didn’t see the light of day in TOA that you’d like to share? I somewhat shown off my more out-there delusions via tier lists (highlights being Yglr from a very brief attempt to bandwagon from FEH Book II hype before reminding myself why I hate bandwagoning) and I made my interest in Citrinne pretty public, but currently (when I am NOT getting absorbed into Alm-route side material oh god spare me please) I am desiring Anna Fire Emblem. No specification on which one, because that's part of the fun for me too :)

I’m back and I got some Front Roe headcanons (I hope that’s not a problem and that it’s not annoying to have multiple weird infodumping about headcanons asks from the same person /gen) and also they’re mostly just speculating on the 3/4 members we know about after Squid Squad which oops uhhh have them anyways hahahaaa

As of Splatoon 3 Ichiya is 24, Namida, is 23 and Murasaki is 19, but Ichiya regularly gets mistaken for a teenager

Murasaki went to collage and learned music theory! Now he can actually read music and makes more complex drum noises! (idk what to call them)

He still cries when he gets super into his performances though (which is/was canon to his character during Squid Squad era)

I don’t have much to say about the unnamed calm person because we don’t know their name, species, what instrument they play, a general idea of their personality or how they ended up in the band, but despite all of that I think that they’re Murasakis collage friend.

I also think they could be a zigzag clam

Ichiya wasn’t able to find a new band and lived off of the money from royalty checks and he ended up falling off the radar (which he was not happy about)

I think that Ichiya took Squid Squad breaking up the hardest because despite his attitude he really did care about the band, but due to his general attitude of “make guitar riffs that look and sound cool without any idea of why they do” made the fact that he wasn’t by himself while making music integral, something he didn’t realize until he started trying to make original tracks alone.

I also like to think he tried to audition for SashiMori to which they said “we already had a domineering and stubborn vocalist last time we’re not doing this shit again”

Namida on the other hand is the only one who actually focused on her solo career and probably made extremely surreal and odd synth tracks for fun

I like to think that since it mentions that Namida “has some knowledge of jazz theory” that she’s friends with and/or a big fan of Ink Theory

Ichiya is trans he is wearing a binder in the Front Roe album cover trust me my uncle works at the Squid Research Lab. If you need any more convincing:

Okok my genuine crackpot theory is that in universe nobody knows that 3/4 members are members of Squid Squad.

None of the reveals for the band even mention it (the reveals are usually treated as an in universe thing)

Their eyes are blacked (greened?) out on their album cover

In the Japanese tweet it’s said that they don’t have a big media presence which seems pretty odd as they’re at the top of the charts (again in universe)

Putting all of this together, I believe that nobody knows that 3/4ths of the members are who they are despite the fact that they’re really bad at hiding it

I saw someone say that Sea Me Now is a thinly veiled Ikkan callout and yes.

I chose to believe that when they first performed that song exactly Ichiya and Ikkan got into a fight and the crowd took a very long time to realize that it was not part of the show

Namida is wearing that one Toni Kensa jacket from Splatoon with the sleeves rolled up

As an apology for yesterday, let me give you an update on what's going on with this blog.

So first and foremost, my computer is broken. Laptop's hard drive is completely fried. Didn't lose any data, but I won't be able to work on posting the remaining stuff like i promised... but NOBODY has thrown rocks at my house yet so I guess that isnt too big a deal.

As of right now, my plans with this blog are to post the remaining Mad Mew Mew dialogue, post the Dog Casino dialogue, and finish that index post that has had papyrus with a cone on his head for years.

And for what's NOT on this blog yet... There is some FUN value stuff on console that i have not posted here, i don't know what I'm going to do with that because i am NOT going to try and get it myself haha. Maybe I'll steal it from someone else, nobody would know... Deltarune-Encyclopedia is not on my to-do list either, one because its a lot more linear of a story and you can realistically see all its dialogue in 2-3 play throughs (as of now), and two...

I'm just not in the zone to be working on this blog rn! I get these spikes of motivation and i blast through a hobby i really like for a week and then i go back to playing video games for another 2 years. I'm kinda just hoping i get another pang of motion but i think if i want to get this done (which i do!) I'm gonna have to just force myself through it. When i get a new computer, of course.

I work as a freelance photographer, I enjoy playing a wide variety of video games (currently splatoon!), and I also like cross stitching and making pixel art. Send me ✨ for a random thing about one of my OCs! (Optional: You can specify one!) - Okay, so, so far I've answered sparkles for Dragon Quest Iris, Splatoon Iris, and TTGC Avalon, so.. let's round out the versions and go with Dragon Quest Avalon for these ones, if that's alright!

..Answering the last set of sparkles made me realise that, while I know I have shown Avalon's physical appearance before on my old blog, a) it was a while ago and b) I haven't shown their in-game appearance in DQIX before. So, here they are in the game right now!

The set on the left is what they currently have equipped in my current save file, whereas the set on the right was constructed from leftover equipment in my inventory to make something at least slightly more fitting in design. I could definitely figure out a "canon appearance" for them using what the game has in its entirety (I'm thinking full platinum), but at the moment this is what they've got in the game itself right now. It's more orange than expected.

The fact that Avalon is wielding knives here might seem slightly strange, considering that - as a warrior - he is also able to equip swords and spears, which tend to both be some of the best weapons in the game, much better than knives. In fact, I have a lot of spears in my inventory for him to use. However, the reason he's holding a knife is that, in his original version/incarnation as a Blade, his unique Blade weapon is called the Glaive Dirk, and so is able to switch from a spear-like weapon to a knife-like one. Also, I play DQIX on a rebalance patch someone made, which makes knives a lot stronger and increases the chances of afflicting status conditions like envenomation. So, my tactic for a lot of bosses in this playthrough has been to use Avalon's Toxic Dagger ability until the boss gets successfully envenomated, then switching them to a spear for extra damage to attack with while the poison does its work. It's very effective when it works.

On a similar note, considering that they are classed as a Healer-role Blade in TTGC, it might seem odd that I've made their Dragon Quest version a warrior instead of a paladin. This was purely because paladins can't equip knives by default, although they can equip spears by default. Also, since I have had Pavo in my team as a sage, and also have Iris who is a luminary, both of their healing magic combined tends to be enough to keep the team in good shape, meaning Avalon can stay as a warrior and focus more on high physical damage. They still have by far the highest defence and HP of the team, which has been very advantageous in difficult fights.

(Well, here goes nothing)

So, I know that for the last few weeks has been pure reblogs with maybe one ore two tags sticked on to them.

And that's simply because the final exams this year really took a lot of time and effort from me, so I basically just put a whole bunch of stuff into the que whenever I was scrolling through here, and that was honestly just when I was taking a break from studying or freaking out about not studying enough so there's that.

But I didn't want to start ranting about the stress I have to get my Abi, Instead I wanted to tell you guys about something that I had planned for a longer time now.

Now, first of all I have to say that I have adored theme parks for my whole life. I went on Rollercoasters and theme rides since I was in first grade, which now ended with me becoming the most Adrenaline needing freak and scenery appreciating freak whenever I get to go Into one.

(Seriously, If you're someone who gets easily scared of rollercoaster or other thrill rides you would not have a good time with me in a theme park, I lose all regard for my Life whenever I see a steel monstrosity of death in front of me)

Because of this, I also had a bunch of park simulator Videogames, that I played alot of, especially Rollercoaster Tycoon 3. But even though half of my parks in that game looked great, and the other half were hell traps designed to torture my guests, there were still many limitations in that game so I could never build the park I really wanted to see.

And then I found Planet Coaster.

Planet Coaster is another theme park simulator and the freedom this game gives you is actually absurd. A giant variety of scenery, coasters, buildings and what not which you can arrange in almost any way you want.

And now we can get to my plan.

Now you know I love theme parks, I love Videogames, so I need to make a Videogame theme park. But because of the Limitations in RCT 3 that was never really possible for me.

But with this game? I saw what some other people did with it and everything I wanted is now possible.

Problem is, I couldn't decide for the Life of me for what kind of game I wanted to build this park. Professor Layton, Kirby or splatoon where some of my first thoughts, but then I had Ideas for even more games I also love, like Luigis Mansion, Metroid or Hollow Knight.

So, what was my decision in the end?

Well, since this blog is already a mess of different fandoms, I'm not gonna make different parks for each game, but one park for every game, with each part of the park being for a different game I'm a fan of.

With Summer break now coming up and all exams written, I have more than enough time to start building on this little passion project of mine.

I will try giving daily main updates, where I recap everything I got done that day, but of course I'm also blogging throughout the day while I work on the Park.

(Well, my day at least. It's probably going to be night then for the most of you)

I was sort of looking forward to the Zelda Splatfest, but you know what? This game has gotten to be a source of frustration and disappointment for me, and I'd rather just wait a week and actually play TOTK which I know won't disappoint. I'm done with Splatoon for a while. Citing:

Over-aggressive, toxic players who splat, chase, and spawn camp so that you literally cannot even play the game for three minutes. These people are not fun to play with, and the answer shouldn't be "Get good". There should be a mode specifically for people like this, or a mode specifically for casuals, or at the very least a better matchmaking system. This was an issue in 2 as well--I was told by a friend to play Splatoon, that it was just fun and silly and the community was great. What I found when I started playing 2 just over a year ago was a hostile community bent on aggression and keeping me stuck in the base, unable to even learn how to play.

Shitty backstory; I don't need more dark and depressing things in my life. Not sorry!

Splatoon 3's story mode is an unforgiving Octo Expansion clone with no learning curve for new players, returning players out of practice, and casuals. No, we don't need levels where you're automatically splatted the second you miss a target in the most basic mode.

It seems to have lost the silliness; there were few moments to laugh at during story mode. The game (and seemingly far too many players) takes itself too seriously. We don't even get Sunken Scrolls, which provided lore for non-idol characters and the world, and were a source of some of the humor. Instead we get the depressing Alterna Logs, which I didn't even care to complete and wish I hadn't read.

Because of the aggressive people, Turf War is basically unplayable to new and casual players. Anarchy battles can also be difficult and aren't everyone's thing. Yet these are the only way to earn EXP. Salmon Run and Table Turf don't get you any.

Salmon Run's AI often feels extremely unfair, especially when it comes to Maws sucking you in when you shouldn't be, Glowfly waves have the glowflies AND Salmonids move so fast there's no time to react, and the fact that Salmonids are no longer slowed down by your ink with no notice or explanation. The mode sees like it was never tweaked, or else like story mode, the devs were in the mood to beat the players at the game for some reason.

Table Turf just isn't fun, and you get the same EXP no matter who you challenge. The grind is awful.

Why are there seasons and catalogs? I could understand if this was a pay to play game, but it isn't. Why did they add features that seem to aim to get players addicted? A lot of the catalog is junk too; drink tickets are easily acquired from the Shell-Out machine or Salmon Run, Table Turf cards are only exciting if you're a fan of Table Turf, and a lot of the clothes just...aren't something I'd want. Like this season, there's tons of clog shoes and camo print clothes. Both are a big nope from me. Yet when I do see something I like (such as the faux fur boots with the bling dangling on the back, or the Motley Hoodless), I end up grinding in Salmon Run because again, Turf is unplayable.

The stages are garbage, with apparently returning stages being given downgrades and I don't know why they chose two of some of the worst stages to return from Splatoon 2 in Salmon Run.

A lot of the subs and specials just aren't useful to every play style, which is a pain if you want to use a weapon you like but the specials are useless for you. I get that there's a lot of bias towards certain weapon classes, so why even have other classes if all they're going to do is nerf them in favor of others?

The connectivity and matchmaking issues. People have been complaining about matchmaking since the first Splatoon, and I feel like they hid being able to see other people's levels rather than in fix it, in the hopes that not knowing someone else's levels would trick people into thinking they were matched evenly. The servers crap out way too often, dropping people in the middle of battles or Salmon Run left and right. This hasn't been fixed in over six months since the game's release, and seems like it never will be.

The music. I get that they add music over time, but there's just the same handful of bands in Splatoon 3 and the handful of songs by them rotate too much and have gotten old fast.

Apparently squid partying is back. It's fun when everyone in the lobby agrees to party, but when only one or two people decide to do it (especially if they're on the same team), it can make it really hard for their team if they want to play normally, make the match unfair, and is just rude. It seemed like being able to move around between matches helped curtail squidpartying, but it's come back lately.

The three-way Splatfests don't seem to work out. Rarely is it even, and sometimes the winner is determined almost unfairly since despite having you pick a region, Splatfests are global (specifically talking about White Chocolate winning the Chocolate Splatfest--white chocolate is a love it or hate it thing in the US at least, but very different and popular in Japan). People often don't pay any attention to the question of the Splatfest and choose their favorite option even if it doesn't make sense with the question, or just choose their favorite idol's option. People also don't understand how Tricolor works--too often the attacking teams will attack each other when they can and are supposed to both work against the defending team. Splatting everyone on the other attacking team and working to ink over what they have tends to help the defending team.

The choice to either turn off all posts in the plaza, or have to see ones I'd rather not. There are some people I'd like to just block as I'm tired of them bringing drama to the plaza, tired of seeing people's weird vents that are definitely something better suited for a therapist rather than publicly in a kid's video game, and tired of people picking fights publicly, or spamming the plaza. There are plenty of great art posts in the plaza and plenty of funny posts, but because we can't just block someone posting something we'd rather not see, we have to make the choice of turning off all posts or having these things sometimes forced in our faces as we pass them or a wall the art is put on.

So rather than play yet another frustrating Splatfest and subject myself to aggressive people and unforgiving mechanics, I'm moving onto a game that will be functional, fun, friendly, and worthwhile.

Hello and welcome!

A lot happened yesterday in the new Nintendo Direct from many of the big franchises. It had started off weak imo but credit where it's due, got better as things went on! I have much to talk about so let's get on with the show.

𝙋𝙄𝙆𝙈𝙄𝙉 4

The game to kick off this direct. I will admit that it does look visually pretty, and the new pooch is certainly cute! There's chances for a lot of chaotic fun no doubt. I've never tried a Pikmin game before, and whilst it does not interest me enough to say "buy now", I hope people will enjoy this game. We already know a certain blue puppet went crazy over this. 😉 Perhaps I'll take another look when Pikmin 4 goes on sale one day. The game releases on July 21st, 2023.

𝙎𝘼𝙈𝘽𝘼 𝘿𝙀 𝘼𝙈𝙄𝙂𝙊: 𝙋𝘼𝙍𝙏𝙔 𝘾𝙀𝙉𝙏𝙍𝘼𝙇

An unexpected surprise from Sega happened! This will be the first Samba De Amigo game since 23 YEARS AGO (as of Dreamcast release). Dancing games are not really my thing but hey, maybe this one will be unique enough to consider me giving it a shot! It releases sometime this summer.

𝙎𝙋𝙇𝘼𝙏𝙊𝙊𝙉 3: 𝙀𝙓𝙋𝘼𝙉𝙎𝙄𝙊𝙉 𝙋𝘼𝙎𝙎

If anything, this announcement was the main course for me! Just...wow. ♡ As someone who started within Splatoon 2, it's going to be so fascinating to explore Inkopolis Plaza for my very first time! Also SQUID SISTER SPLATFESTS ARE BACK! I already know @atlantisportal2 is about to have a nostalgia trip. I'm so freaking excited! 😁 Not only that...but Side Order is looking VERY intriguing for me.

Could this be a corrupt version of what happened if Team Order won Splatoon 2: Final Splatfest? Also Pearl and Marina baby, woohoo! Very glad seeing them back along with what looks to be Agent 8. Also you better believe I purchased it ASAP! With that said, wave 1 is set to release sometime in Spring with wave 2 inkcoming (haha) somewhere on the holidays (according to placeholder dates).

𝘼𝘿𝙑𝘼𝙉𝘾𝙀 𝙒𝘼𝙍𝙎 1+2: 𝙍𝙀-𝘽𝙊𝙊𝙏 𝘾𝘼𝙈𝙋

I haven't got much to say about these games, however, I did like what they've shown so far and looking to pick it up sometime in future if reviews are looking good. Like the artstyle they're going for! They will be avaliable on April 21st.

More games for the service? Yes freaking please! It took a while but now they're here. The games really whizzed by and it would be impossible to put them all here, so if you'd like a glimpse of what I'm personally interested in, take a look. Take your time. 😊 *Tick tick tick* Oh, you're back? Lovely! Nintendo really popped off with the choices imo (looking at you Wario Land 3 and Mario+Luigi Superstar Saga). Some of these games are being released today with others being added in the future.

𝙋𝙇 𝘼𝙉𝘿 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙉𝙀𝙒 𝙒𝙊𝙍𝙇𝘿 𝙊𝙁 𝙎𝙏𝙀𝘼𝙈

A miracle has happened!! After tragic events with both Level 5 and the original creator years ago, Professor Layton is looking to make a return. I've not played any of these games yet which judging by general buzz, I'm missing out! Hope to see more details soon as they come and maybe look into this considered-to-be underrated series in future. A release date has not been confirmed yet.

𝙏𝙇𝙊𝙕: 𝙏𝙀𝘼𝙍𝙎 𝙊𝙁 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙆𝙄𝙉𝙂𝘿𝙊𝙈

GANON IS BACK AND MORE TERRIFYING THAN EVER! With an amazing reveal of more info, this game is shaping up to be something great already. The visuals, music, and maybe even voice acting...it leaves me impressed. The gameplay could even be a step up with new weapon types and tools among other things (we can make our own cars legit now!?) However, it also reminds me that I need to finish BOTW someday. 😅 I'll be sure to look into this game at some point. Sharpen your blade and prepare for adventure on 12th May, 2023...

Please tumblr cancel me but reading about people complain about football and England on tumblr is actually so pathetic. Its clear so many people who post that kind of thing have no clue about football. Trying to say that England didn't deserve to win that game because of historical colonalisation is exactly the type of reductive politicising that doesn't need to come into it. Especially when the team, staff and FA are so vocal about raising awareness and supporting social justice causes because of how the nation's history reflects on the ethnic and diverse make-up of the team today and the society they represent. Don't make an issue over something not in their control when that kind of thing is something they are hoping to affect a positive change on.

If you want to talk about fans booing other national anthems, sure. But that happens elsewhere too. I've even seen people co.plain about England fans booing when the other team is in possession... so what!? It's just to give urgency to your own team to get back in the game, stop making problems over nothing. There is literally hardly any difference in the way England fans support their own team and jeer the opponents than other European countries. Why anyone has the idea that all mainland European countries fans behave like saints 100% of the time is beyond me.

I could guess a lot of people on tumblr who post those kind of stupid things are the same kind of people who watch eurovision with such enthusiasm and somehow got confused that a competitive sporting event was the similar to a silly song contest because it had "euro" in the name. If that's true, it might please you to know that the fans were clearly loudest when their voices are joined together in song and celebration, than they when chiding their opponent in good spirits.

In summation; Shut up tumblr, you clearly do not know what you're talking about. I'm shocked I've been driven to write this much over stupid people, but please post your hate down below so I can laugh. 👍

Oh also! England were obviously the better team. Denmark were terrific for much of the first half, but their resilience was out matched and over run by England across 120 minutes. They played a great game and had a wonderful tournament, considering how it started, but it wasn't to be. Soft penalty? Sure. But that's football sometimes, you just have to deal with it and move on. England have many a time been on the wrong side of a poor decision, this time we were lucky.

SPOILERS FOR LUIGI'S MANSION 3 IF YOU HAVEN'T PLAYED/BEATEN THE GAME YET

luigi's mansion 3!! the second game ive ever owned for my nintendo switch. (the first being splatoon) i got it as a birthday gift, and it is the reason why i love video games so much now.

ive beaten this game so many times in a short time period that im burned out from it 💀 itll probably be a long while before i find entertainment in it again, but i enjoy playing scarescraper mode with my friends, and i have also beaten this game with my dad. hooh what an experience

i have 165 hours in this game and those are some good hours well spent!

since this was the first time in a really long time i got to sit down and enjoy a mario game by myself, i forgot how much i liked the mario franchise. i forgot how adorable luigi wassss hes so cute

i enjoy the puzzles and boss fights, with my favorite floor being "tomb suites" (the egypt themed floor). i also enjoyed 100%ing the game, collecting all the gems and the boos

i also think the visuals are super pretty.

the designs, lighting, rooms, etc, are great

also the music SLAPS 👏👏 i love the titlescreen music and i listen to it sometimes

i like how the ost has some jazz to it too

i think that's all i have to say about the game itself but i really enjoy hellen gravely!! i like her fascination with king boo and her boss fight was tricky the first time i played it. i hope she comes back if a new installment to the series is made, because with how outraged she was at luigi for "ransacking her hotel", capturing her staff, and also capturing her cat, polterkitty, i doubt she's a villain that would fall once and not come back without a rematch, even without having king boo to help. also not to mention her desire to appease king boo, someone she adores. if she were to come back, her motivations would probably be getting king boos respect back, and also getting revenge on luigi for the events i just mentioned

also luigi and mario hugging after fighting hellen is so wholesome

i think the only "problem" i have with this game is that some of the bosses in this game (even the boos) have the same attack somewhere: spinning

several bosses like chef soulffle, clem, king macfrights, and dj phantasmagloria, all hold some object in their hand and just spin around the room for a bit before getting dizzy (except for dj phantasmagloria) and i think its quite repetitive

like is that really all you got

you could excuse all of the characters i just mentioned except for macfrights since their professions aren't really good for combat (like djs or chefs don't beat the shit outta people, they just play music and cook food) but king macfrights is literally a king who has armor and swords

in his final stage where you destroy his armor, all he wields is a sword and shield

and he spins around with them to attack you

for some reason

why doesn't he use his weapons properly and try to stab luigi or something instead of spinning around because that's not how you use a sword or a shield 😭 its kind of sad to look at since hes a king living in medieval times

also king boos boss fight is so annoying

trying to aim the bombs in his mouth is uuuuughghygghhgghh

and yet in scarescraper its much easier to aim bombs at boolossus

but that's all i have to say for luigis mansion. i like the game, regardless of the "issues" i just mentioned, and i think you should buy it. (quotations around issues because it's probably not too much of a big deal and regardless i had a good time with this game) have a good day. sorry if that's a lame ending to this post it's 4 am right now. i also apologize for any spelling errors i made and didn't catch
