1. Jake is the one who tends to have difficulty falling asleep and has bad dreams. Amy has a whole routine planned out for when he wakes up in a cold sweat. It involves hot chocolate, distracting him with his favorite movies and lots of cuddles. He acts tough and embarrassed, but she always shushes his worries and reminds him she loves him no matter what.

2. Amy will fly into a tailspin if the bathroom has so much as a fleck of dust in it. Jake gets really really good at cleaning up after himself after an incident where he left his open contact solution out and she accidentally knocked it over and it spilled on her makeup bag. He felt so bad about ruining her bag that he is now hyper vigilant about keeping the counters clear.

3. At first Amy is really insecure to wear her glasses around him because she wants him to think she’s sexy. He reminds her that she is sexy no matter what by constantly jumping her bones anytime she’s wearing them. She even starts wearing them on dates, something she never did before him.

4. Jake is always catching Amy shivering in her sleep, whether it’s in the middle of the night in bed or slouched on their sofa after a movie night. He always covers her with a blanket, his hoodie, or on rare occasions, slides fluffy socks on her feet so she doesn’t catch a cold. She’s only noticed it a few times, usually assuming she grabbed herself something before bed. He likes it that way, because he enjoys covering her up and tucking her in.

5. Amy can’t fall asleep without saying goodnight. Even if they’ve had a long shift and one of them is home late, she rolls over and murmurs “goodnight Jake” and he’s learned to reply every single time, or she’ll be up for hours. It brings her some sort of contentment and allows her to sleep. He likes it too, after getting used to it. His parents never made much of a show of tucking him in at night, but hers probably did.

6. Jake and Amy dance together in their dark kitchen after dinner, often neglecting their pile of dishes to sway around in eachothers arms. Normally Jake ruins the romance of it by dropping down to do the worm, but sometimes he lets it happen. Amy rests her face against his warm chest, feeling his heart beat through his t-shirt, and thinks the world has stopped so they can dance together for a little while. He sometimes quietly says “love you Ames.” And she smiles and says it back.

7. When one of them has a particularly terrible or dangerous day at work, there’s an unspoken rule that they won’t let the other drown in it. Even if they say they don’t want to talk about it, they have a list of things they do. They go get ice cream, they take a long walk outside, they take just a little while where it’s the two of them. They wring out the awfulness from their spongelike brains. They remind each other what’s important.

8. It was Jake’s idea to start a grocery list on the fridge. Amy normally has a mental list and adds things to it as she goes, but he suggested it after being responsible for the groceries and forgetting a few things. He told her he wanted to be more responsible and a list would help him. He always makes sure to get the name brand ice cream and her favorite treats for when that time of the month comes around. He confidently buys her menstrual products, offering the cashier a cheeky grin each time he holds up the colorful box.

9. Jake always pumps her gas for her. Despite her arguments that it’s antiquated and stupid, he waves her off and beats her over to the pump to do it for her. He’s never explained why, but one time Karen told Amy that Roger used to do it for her before they got divorced. Amy stopped arguing with him after that.

10. They love going hiking together on long weekends. They drive upstate, listening to bad 2000s rap and gearing up for treacherous walks. Amy loves the fresh air and beautiful scenery. Jake loves to hold Amy’s ass and help boost her over tall rocks. The workout leggings aren’t bad to look at either. I like to think Amy told Jake and Mac she was pregnant with baby #2 on a beautiful nature walk.

more james hcs guys i know everyone loves me and my headcanons cuz im awesome and amazing

idk if i said this last time but he does have OCD. everywhere he goes he brings a mini hand sanitizer container. one big issue he has is that if they don't get to finish their motto, it eats at him the rest of the day.

he has a poison blood type (something i might have to expand on in a different post one day), which means he has a godly immune system and a naturally high immunity to poisons, even those that are fatal to the average person.

his parents are georgio and eliza morgante. yes i know its a play on the name morgan to make it italian and its funny for that. anyways jojo fans if youre reading this i named him giorgio as a joke too. moving on, they own a tech company called morgantech cuz im good at naming and theyre rich for it. nobody knows james is the son of elon musk and grimes cuz they thought he was a failure of a son so they never made him public.

some of his stims include hand flapping, rocking, whistling, humming, singing, leg bouncing, and sucking on candy, which he somehow has handfulls of at all times

they also listen to music a lot. they like upbeat songs, pop, and stupid love songs. whatever the pokemon equivalent of glass animals is, well thats their favorite artists all time. they HATE classical music and certain classical songs are a goddamn trigger cuz his stupid bitch parents and their rich old southern aesthetic

on the music thing, they always have headphones with them cuz otherwise theyd deal with a shit ton of sensory overload

him and meowth are besties that talk about their feelings with eachother at 3am while jessie and wobbuffet snore obnoxiously loud in the other room

theyre booksmart yeah but if it has anything to do with math theyve already accepted defeat

ok actually in the last post i said they ran away at 15 but i changed it to 17 cuz the gap between then and joining team rocket was way too big and annoying to put together

they sleep in a LOT

they like writing. not books or anything but more like poems, which isnt much of a hc cuz he said so in that one oak episode. they also have a little diary like a stupid nerd.

one of their hyperfixations is old cartoons they were never allowed to watch as a kid, and they sit down and watch it with everyone and is the happiest loser alive

in my au that takes place a while after journeys, theyre 37. they live in da treehouse with jessie, jaime, meowth, wobbuffet, and all the other pokemon including bewear. irrelevant to anything but they've won alola's first coordinator contest thing. their pokemon team for the events in kanto is growlie (now an arcanine), hidoide, mime jr, and carnivine, though growlie is less so on the team and more like a ride pokemon that stays out of its pokeball. basically hes gay married with jessie and theyre all on a vacation in kanto with the twerps for ash's retry at the indigo league. hes like family to them anyways, all the twerps are. their friendship with brock is especially strong for many reasons, one of them being that brock also lives in alola and works at the pokemon center, and because of his close distance him and james often have lunch together and talk about nice things.
