Headcanons about side characters

One of Diavolo's hobbies is photography. In this way, he can capture special moments for him. Many demons are not particularly impressionable and do not try very hard to remember any moments, because time has no special feature for them. But after meeting you, Diavolo realized how important time is for ordinary mortals. He especially likes live emotions in photos, so he can take a picture without warning about it.

Perhaps this is unexpected, but Barbatos is very tactile, he likes strong hugs very much. Most often, he does not share this fact about himself, preferring to keep it a secret. However, a narrow circle of people close to him, including you, know about this sweet secret of the butler. It all started from the day he met the young prince. Diavolo often looked sad because his father did not pay him due attention, Barbatos' heart (unexpectedly for him) shrank from this sad picture. Therefore, he stretched out his arms to the young prince and held Diavolo tightly to him.

Luke likes to knit. Simeon taught him this skill. Sometimes in the evenings they sit on the sofa and do knitting. The first thing he knitted was a sweater for Simeon, as a thank you for teaching him. There were some mistakes during his first knitting, but despite this, Luke did the job well enough. Luke also knitted a stuffed toy for Mammon when he learned that the demon could not sleep for a long time because of the nightmares that tormented him.

Simeon likes to wear various jewelry. Recently, he began to decorate his wings with various bows, tying them to his feathers. Raphael helps Simeon with tying bows. Raphael specially buys a package of ribbons for him. Simeon loves homemade jewelry, he believes that more love was invested in them, respectively, they are very valuable to him. When he has free time, he creates chains, bracelets, etc. for himself, for friends and especially for you.

Although Solomon often claims that he does not remember important dates, he cannot erase some days from his head even after making great efforts to do so. It becomes clear to the people around him that this concerns his past. Solomon will never tell about what happened. He'll just smile and take the conversation in a different direction. But there is a deep sadness hidden behind this smile. On such days, he becomes even less talkative. He may even disappear for a few days. Everyone is looking forward to his return. But with the appearance of you, Solomon no longer disappears without a trace and seems to remember less about what worries him. Maybe he's ready to tell you what he's hiding from the rest of the world?

4 am and im thinking about this post and i. I keep coming back to the meals. the food. food being the biggest form of love in ikepri. queen michel inventing recipes in the kitchens with leticia. sariel calming down the crying princes with cookies. chevalier splitting a loaf of bread in the market with gilbert. keith having salons regularly with yves and licht. rio's favorite dish being the one emma would make while nursing him back to health. leon getting flavored candy from jin every christmas. the twins sneaking their carrots into sariel's meals (and vice versa). gilbert having a sweet tooth because albert used to make sweets for him. luke learning how to cook because of leyla. leon going to the tavern with jin and clavis for beer and meat. sariel and rio becoming drinking partners. jin abandoning his cutlery and table manners to make luke feel at home. clavis theming his culinary creations around rabbits. yves's hobby of baking for his brothers. silvio and nokto going out for drinks. a secret package of honey cookies. tea leaves in letters. rose-themed desserts. the food. the food. the food.

the domestic faction's meals together being so much more than just faction bonding. it's about leon and yves and jin recognizing licht needs help. it's about them noticing their baby brother is deeply depressed and has a low appetite and will likely go the whole day without food if left to his own devices. it's about leon gathering them for breakfast and lunch and dinner to make sure licht eats something or else he'll forget. it's about yves practicing baking and becoming good at it because licht loved sweets as a child. it's about yves wants to bring some of that joy back for him. it's about the four of them fighting over cake like little kids. mealtimes becoming an act of love and devotion.

and emma. emma being welcomed to the castle with a feast in the domestic faction's office. emma going on a food tour of the capital with yves. emma making time to have tea with rio. emma baking a cake for chevalier for his birthday every year. emma learning to cook hamburg steak to perfection for nokto. emma bringing sandwiches to the princes while they train. emma baking that pie that yves's mother loved, for him. emma making honey-sweetened desserts for luke. emma eating breakfast together with clavis. I just. there is so much love to be found in the food. my god. my god.

Honestly though I think it’s really a bad sign when I look at Shin Tsukimi and literally feel like he’s a self insert 😩

I'm at a point where I'm happy with my art but I'm hyperfixated in smaller fandoms so they dont get as many likes as when I drew constant genshin or angels of death. And I tell myself that that's okay, but I have kinda stopped posting most of my art out of a fear of boring my current followers who came for genshin or aod art.

But when I dont share it I get bored pretty quickly so then I end up posting some, knowing that the drawings wont have many notes, but telling myself that's alright, they're small fandoms. Then I'll go to discord channels to try and get some feedback because I want to talk about this thing I love, maybe get a small compliment, try to talk about the same interest and start a conversation but people dont seem interested in the art and I kinda lose any motivation I had left to draw.

This cicle has been going for quite some time and it has been a thing.

Do nightfolk have... lawyers?

yes! they're still people, of course, and they more or less live similarly structurally to humans (a lot of wild differences, but still). in the us, their lawyers are usually tommy-knockers (who also help the gilde family run the banks), but really, they could be fey, goblins, vampires, shifters, at one time there was a barghest (how? magic), another a beholder, etc etc. nightfolk aren't exactly the most strict when it comes to who can do what, so long as so-and-so can actually perform the job functions (and are certified, depending on the field).

nightfolk lawyers are kind of- cut-throat. the lawyering game is just as messy and convoluted as it is in a human context, worse actually, and there aren't very many to go 'round so they're very expensive. in most cases, any who can't afford them have to represent themselves, one won't be provided by the state except in very 'particular circumstances' (where it pertains to really old laws like, er, consider laws like 'the law of surprise' - stuff like that, weird laws, binding vow removal too (that entire process is a paaaaain in the ass)). it seems cruel and unusual, but nightfolk are taught throughout childhood all about the legalities of their society since it's still adapting to human expansion and industrialism, modernizing, balancing their own traditions, ways of life, in some ways protecting humans from them and the monsters and such that still very much lurk in the world and one world-ending cataclysm after another-- they have to know everything, they have to be prepared. whether they end up needing to use any of that information is irrelevant. anyway-

you could theoretically divorce a god and it be totally accepted legally by everyone involved, few questions asked. attitudes about wacky, surely mindboggling stuff, are by and large best summed up as a roll of the shoulders most of the time. they all hear wild shit all day, every day, so lawyers, judges, and all kinds of legislative types have an easier time being objective and decisive, er, pragmatic (as well as being corrupt, but that's not what this post is about!).

as i think on it now, how one would become a lawyer is by apprenticeship. you work with a lawyer, they teach you everything, you learn, you take certification classes, the nightfolky bar exam lol, and there you go i guess. it takes a good long time, cos you need your mentor's approval and recommendations from several other supervisor types, character letters, and then you have to go through extensive background checks, take an oath, a binding vow to your firm as a condition of proper employment (and to the department of regulatory sorceries)-- and so on. it's an enormous pain in the ass to become a lawyer and that's why it's an undersaturated field.

HI BELOVED!!! imma give you an angsty but heartwarming mlb fic idea that i'll never finish and hate a lot of but also love with my entire heart and refuse to delete <3

so, it's called "road to recovery" right now... hate the name, tbh. anyways, it's a miraculous chat fic except... okay so like, being akumatized is so traumatizing??? like, alix basically killed all her friends, ivan almost destroyed the city, nino basically attempted to murder all the adults in paris, rose took control of people's minds and manipulated them, kim almost got chat noir to kill ladybug and he was close to doing it, alya almost unmasked her hero and put her in danger, etc...

anyways, they're all traumatized. ivan is also canonically the first person to get akumatized. he's like. fourteen. please that has to have been so traumatic. so, nino is the second one in the class to get akumatized and he really struggles with it and texts ivan asking for help because he doesn't know how to cope. anyways, this causes them to become good friends, and they hang out a lot and talk a lot and rant a lot and just overall try to cope together. they thought it would just be them, but little did they know...

so, then alya gets akumatized and doesn't really take it well (understandably), so after awhile, nino texts ivan and is like "yo alya isn't okay... do we want to make a chat and add her?" so ivan makes a chat and adds alya. then alix gets akumatized, they add alix.

eventually, it's a chat for the classmates who've been akumatized and once it happens to someone, they get added. well, ivan or nino (since they started it) reach out and ask if they want to be added because they aren't going to just Add them without asking.

i'm like... really into the classmates as characters and i love their friendship because they are friends!!! so many people write them all as these big jerks because of freaking lila episodes that mischaracterized them all so people make them like. harass mari and i'm??? i hate it??? they deserve better??? and like nino is my favorite character, so getting to explore his character and interactions with others is SO FUN FOR ME!!! and kim is another favorite! and rose! and i've gotten to really explore sabrina and i have So Many headcanons about their families (and everyone can pry my headcanons about kim's family from my cold dead hands i Know Him and His Family)

anyways, it includes: learning that it's okay to ask for help, friendships being made / becoming stronger, alya correcting nino's typos, chloe redemption, the kids coping with ptsd, occasional fun jokes, nightmares, trying to be stronger for each other... etc :) oh and mari and adrien aren't in it so it's the classmates minus them not that i don't love them but a lot of the time, their characters are used to advance the main two's characters and also they've never been akumatized sooooo they do get cameos, tho, and i did plan on adding them after everyone in the class was in it (sometime around s2) because everyone was like "they've been through enough trauma due to akumas tbh also it feels mean to basically have a whole class chat without them lol"

anyways i really love the classmates as characters and wish they got more love and less hate and got more opportunities to be friends like ik they are and okay so this is Technically a wip, but it's something i don't think i'll ever finish, so it counts <3
