okay okay okay so we're doing all hallow's eve in early s3 micah's reincarnation does Not show up at the end of the episode because we're saving him for something bigger. but we'll say that something on a later vanquish a physical item triggers something in prue she's like hey does that remind you of anything?? and piper and phoebe are like ??? no? it's just a(n) [item]? and prue's like really? nothing? and they're like idk what does it remind you of and she's like i don't know... the past? samhain, maybe? do you think it's one of our ancestor's? and piper and phoebe are like prue i don't know can we get out of here??? and she's like yeah yeah but she takes it with her and like. uses her auction house knowledge to like correctly id it back to the time they were in salem (or not maybe idk but if it is from the past she realizes that a) either it was something micah owned or b) it was the knife that killed him. if it's neither of those than it's modern and she can't figure out what about it is calling to her). the plot is kind of dropped. then, we enter s4, the battle with the source is on the horizon cole is. we'll say still on their side, successful relationship with phoebe. cole is the first one to pitch going on the offensive, which prue is first to back, then phoebe, and begrudgingly piper. leo's still not a fan but phoebe gets a premonition of something something darklighter so let's stamp that out before it begins. so they shimmer down with cole to the underworld leo doesn't go with them bc well. a) he can't sense as well down there so he won't really be able to find them if they get separated which leads to b) of they're separated the girls have no way out of hell and as a sidenote c) he's a whitelighter. so if the darklighters get him they Also have no way out of hell. so leo stays topside and cole's their ride. something something something they're closing in on where the clan lives or maybe their weapons forge and there's a darklighter just outside piper blow him up no wait and prue like Jumps in front of her and piper quickly deflects and hits the cavern wall next to them and wants to yell what the hell prue but it's too late because all hell breaks loose the darklighters were there waiting for them the seer foresaw this so they all duck for cover prue throws a couple phoebe karate chops cole energy balls piper blows up em and will occasionally freeze the cavern for a couple seconds but she still doesn't have a hold on her powers, but phoebe while fighting one of them gets a premonition: leo, shot. and over the din she's like it's a diversion, they're gonna kill leo like we have to get to leo but they're all hella spread apart right now so in one of piper's freezes cole gets to phoebe and another the pair get to piper but prue's still to far away she redirects an arrow that nearly hits phoebe in the hed she's like there's no time go!! and they're like no!! but prue just squints at cole and cole understands and shimmers them out of there and we'll say the guy who she initially dove in front of was knocked out by like rocks from piper's blast well he's coming to and see's prue fighting for her life and like. you know just starts to stir and prue spares a glance at him and he recognizes her just like he did in puritan times and he's like ...you saved me and prue looks at him and again connection but she can't find the words to say because she has to get right back to kicking ass, we'll say an arrow flies right past her face like through her hair she ducks down again like can you get us out of here? and he just like barely sits up head cradled in one hand, he's bleeding, but he just nods and places his other on prue's shoulder and black orbs them out and now they're in like a loft in san francisco prue still in fight mode and micah still bleeding from a head wound and he just kind of collapses on the ground and prue's like !!! oh shit.

back @ the manor leo's just been shot and piper's running over like help me get him to the attic i'll swap our powers you guys get out of the house so you're not affected go get prue and leo's like ??? go get her and cole's like she's still with the darklighters and leo's like no she's topside she's in the city and they're all like how??? and piper's like who gives a shit how help me get him to the attic then give me some space so phoebe and cole wait in the outside lil backyard type thing they have maybe we get a phole scene piper swaps powers and heals leo but he's still weak and piper hear's prue's call and leo's like go i'm still too weak to heal and piper's i'm not leaving you not while they're out there and leo's like hey don't worry you're still with me right ad blows up idk a lamp and piper just kind of smiles like okay but if you're gonna blow anything else up try to hit that vase because i've always hated it

piper goes downstairs gets phoebe and cole like okay let's go get prue and she orbs them all out into this loft where prue has got this guy slumped over his table pressing a damp towel to his head but jesus that's a lot of blood and she's like leo thank g- where's leo and piper's like he's resting he was shot so i had to tap in. and prue's like you can heal? and piper's like uh huh and prue's like okay great heal him and piper moves forward and then stops because prue is that the darklighter? and prue's like yes but you don't understand and piper's like what part of healing a Darklighter don't i understand prue when they Just tried to kill my husband now you're trying to save him and prue's like come on doesn't he look familiar to you and piper's looking at him like ew bc she can hardly see past the bloodcovered face but phoebe wanders forward and cole instinctively tries to hold her back bc Evil but she just kind of shakes him off bc she knows what she's doing and cole relents and she puts a hand up to his shoulder and she's like it is him. and prue's lookin like exactly! and piper's like who??? and prue's like micah and he stirs at the sound of his own name and piper's like Who??? and prue's like don't you remember he saved our necks--literally--multiple times; he died for us and it's clicking piper's like In Puritan Times??? and cole kinda blanches bc he Might have killed that guy i can't remember and prue's like piper for the amount of times he's saved us, please, just heal him and piper's like you get that that was centuries ago right? a lot changes in a couple hundred years; he's a darklighter now and prue's like piper. please. and piper relents bc what can she say she trusts prue. and micah comes to and sees cole and stumbles back like hits the ground again and prue's like no no it's okay and he looks at her and it's like we can see his world fade around him and just focus on prue and his hand flies up to his head and finds no blood and prue's like it's okay, you're healed and micah's like so that'd be the second time you've saved my neck today? and prue's like consider it returning the favor and piper's like okay well I'm breaking up the balcony scene this time how did the darklighters know we were coming? and micah's like this woman. she visited us and said you were coming, you were leaving your whitelighter vulnerable... and they're like what woman and cole's like the seer. and micah just nods and he's like i've read about you, you know, what you've done, i was hoping i could get away to warn you before... and piper's like Why. Why would you betray your own people and micah's like because i can see what dark magic can do... and it can't be undone [to later be revealed tragic backstory!! micah was raised by his mother topside or maybe his father and we get a complex darklighter situation with his mom potentially even having her defect but no matter when micah was like. idk twelve or something?? there was this bully in school and we're trying to stay with charmed morality and justify this so we'll say this kid was like serial killer bad killed puppies for fun type bad and he was a bully and micah was standing up to him #feminism when they got into a fight and micah was losing like Really losing like about to be beat to death at age twelve losing when his hand started glowing red and he shoved it against the bully and next the you know that kid was fucking dead. micah had killed a guy before he had even gone through puberty. oof. anyways top ten defining moments tried existing on the dl but has also killed a couple other people and we'll keep them Bad murderers and rapists but it's still like you end up in a bar fight and then the next thing you know that guy is dead and it doesn't matter what a cunt he was it doesn't matter than you didn't mean to do it you just have a power you don't know how to control no all that matters is you're getting manslaughter at best unless you go with this man who claims to be your uncle who can teleport like you who has the same deathtouch who can teach you to control your power].

blah blah blah plot progression all that prue and micah fall in love relatively quickly because they can feel that tug in their souls (SIDE TANGENT: i've already said before i like wyatt as a reincarnation of melinda warren but what if prue was Also a reincarnation of melinda warren, ipso facto wyatt is also prue reincarnated retconning why they can't summon her spirit. 👀?) but but BUT the seer foresaw this she new micah would turn to the side of good so she planted something that blew up in a metaphorical sense so now they don't know if they can trust micah prue wants to trust him but she doesn't want to put her family in danger if he really is in league with the source phoebe is advocating for her to follow her heart and piper is Hard No against micah like even before like she really didn't want him around before this bomb dropped even more so now and prue's like okay what's your beef and piper's like he's not safe to have around prue he's a damn darklighter and prue's like you know you keep like using that against him leo doesn't even care why are you so hung up on this and piper's like leo's safety isn't the only one at risk here!! and prue's like what you have some secret whitelighter you haven't told us about?? and piper is just silent and stubborn and prue's still in fight stance until it clicks and she's like piper... and piper's like still not talking and prue's like piper,,, are you pregnant? and piper's like no you know what i shouldn't even have said anything forget you even heard anything and prue's like ???? piper this is great news why why didn't you tell us and tries to hug her and piper just ducks away and prue's like heart is breaking watching her like this because piper's like really maternal she'd be a great mom so why isn't she happy and piper just looks at prue like : ( i didn't tell you because this isn't the first time this has happened. and prue's like ??? and piper's like towards the end of s3,,, i thought i was. well, no. i was pregnant. and, um. i was scared, because of all the demon fighting and everything, but i was excited prue i was so excited to be a mom and then a couple weeks later,,, and gets all choked up and prue just pulls her into a really big hug like sweetie why didn't you tell us and piper's just crying like i don't know we already have so much with the source and with the fighting every day,, i didn't want you guys to feel like i did, you're already going through so much and prue's like honey You're Going Through So Much and just know we're always here for you forget the source and his sorry ass forget the seer nothing's more important that you okay nothing's more important and piper's just okay okay : ((((.

so anyways we vanquish the source for the midseason finale but now we have the seer the real mastermind as the s4b villain and she's got her eyes set on a great prized: a prophesied baby. in one episode prue and micah get knocked back into a past life regression where they keep slipping back further and further in time and they keep finding each other in each life but they need to get out of here and piper leo phoebe cole are on the outside trying to get them out because if they reach their first life their life where their soul was new and slip back further, there's no way to bring them back after that we're not killing prue lol but what that really does is just cements prue and micah's place together like In Every Life they had each other in one form or another they were always destined to find each other....... fin <3

Snowed In On The Moon

Hadn’t written a fic for the free space on my DL server Bingo Card...and I’m struggling to get myself out of this depression hole and write again, so maybe this little thing will do it.

Synopsis: Set during the 1976 A Night At The Opera USA Tour. Round the dates in the Midwest in February. The boys are snowed in at a shitty motel, and that isn’t the worst thing ever, but isn’t it though?

“There are worse places we could be stuck,” Brian reminds Roger.

Roger grumbles, and glares out the window of the motel at the quickly, thickly falling snow. “Really? Name them for me.”

Brian chuckles, watching as Roger turns from the window and drops onto the other bed.

“I wasn’t fucking joking,” Roger scoffs. “Are you going to name them, or not?”

“You’re in a lovely mood, aren’t you?”

Roger lets out something that sounds like a growl.

“Alright, I will. Under the ocean-”

“Don’t be ridiculous! I thought you meant places we could actually be.”

Brian nods. “If we were in a submarine, we could be stuck there.”

Roger sighs and drapes a hand over his eyes as he lays on his back on the bed, still wrapped in his fur coat, a leftover from the clothing stall he and Freddie used to run.

“Fine. Sure. Us, and our fucking yellow submarine. Where else would be worse than the American Midwest in a blizzard, then?”

Brian ponders for a moment. “The moon, if we didn’t have the right equipment.”

“Someone has some awfully big dreams,” Roger smirks. “Going to be the first man to do a fifteen minute guitar solo on the moon, Bri?”

“Only if you’re up there to do the first twenty minute drum solo.”

Brian dodges the pillow Roger tosses with a shout. “Don’t! We’ve no idea where those have been, if they’ve been cleaned...”

“People clean in America,” Roger laughs, then hesitates. “I mean, they must.”

They both pause the conversation long enough to create a ‘blanket’ over their beds made up of clothes too dirty to be worn again (that will be cleaned, eventually. When they find a laundromat, they swear.)

Roger shivers as they settle back onto their beds. “Never worried about bed bugs until right this moment, you know? And whatever else Americans have in their beds.”

“You presume they have different insects here?”

“At least some,” Roger replies. “You don’t feel all...I don’t know, like your skin is crawling, sitting here?”

Brian nods. “A bit. But where else are we going to go?”

Outside, the wind howls, and flakes seem to smack the glass of the window, as if upset to be falling.

“You’re the one with a list of worse places we could be,” Roger shrugs. “Make up a list of better places, and let’s go to one of those.”

“Home?”

“Not bad,” Roger remarks, wincing at a stain on the shirt he’s using as a pillow. “But somewhere exciting would be nice.”

“Home can be exciting!”

“Yeah, but you know I didn’t mean home,” Roger says.

Brian sighs. “Unfortunately, Rog, I can’t get us much further away from here. For a few reasons, but you know that.”

“I know,” Roger murmurs. “Still like hearing you talk about us being elsewhere though.”

“Even if it’s the moon, or under the ocean?”

A balled up shirt is the projectile this time, but that Brian bats away with a practiced hand.

“There is somewhere we could go,” Brian offers. “But it’s not going to be fun.”

“Ooh, really sell it to me,” Roger grins and bounces up off of his bed. “Where?”

“There’s a vending machine outside near the front of the motel, and I have...I don’t actually know how much American money I have, I haven’t really counted it, but we could go get something sugary and disgusting...”

“That’s outside,” Roger muses. “In the snow.”

“Astute observation,” Brian giggles. “Do we dare attempt it?”

“In a moment,” Roger says, and rifles through his bag of slightly-less-worn clothing. “Here.”

“Oh, Rog...” Brian hesitantly takes the old fur coat from him. “You brought more than one...”

“Case anyone else needed one, here in the frozen fucking tundra,” Roger says. “Might leave your wrists exposed, but we’ll get a decent portion of your torso covered, at least.”

Outside, they’re both grateful for the furs, as the wind whips snow and ice into their faces, against any bare skin. Anything less thick than the furs leaves them feeling naked and shivering.

It’s a slow walk, on incredibly icy concrete, to the front of the motel.

“Can machines freeze, do you think?” Roger ponders as they go, occasionally pausing to hold one another up as they slip on the worst patches of ice. “In something like this?”

“You mean you think we’ll get to it, and it’ll be so cold it won’t work?”

“I’m just saying, my end goals here were to get out of the room, and to get something to eat that’s objectively terrible for me,” Roger replies, snagging Brian’s arm as he slips yet again. “You and those fucking clogs; they aren’t made for this weather!”

“And yours are?” Brian laughs as Roger goes down onto his ass, sparkly pink Converse out from under him.

A moment later he’s down too, grateful that at least it was a slow set of falls. Nothing bruised but their asses and their pride.

“We should get up,” Brian prompts. The snow is cold under them, and he can feel it soaking into his trousers and curls. The fur, grotesque as it is, does an admittedly good job of keeping at least part of him dry and somewhat warm.

“I don’t know,” Roger sighs. “What’s there to go back to? The room, or the vending machine, and what else? Nothing.”

“Little dramatic,” Brian smiles. “I think there’s more than that, we just have to get through the night here.”

“Oh!” Freddie nearly trips over them, skidding to an awkward halt on the ice, somehow staying upright. “Are you two alright?”

“Afflicted by a need to be elsewhere, snacks, and the human condition,” Brian replies. “But otherwise, fine. You?”

“Was going for food for myself and Deaky,” Freddie says slowly. “How long have you two been out here?”

“Time isn’t real; who can say?” Roger mutters with all the emotion of an unsupervised theater major student in their first show, flopping sideways in the snow.

“The watch on your wrist could,” Freddie remarks wryly. “Shall I help you up, or leave you both here to freeze until the spring thaw?”

Brian takes the offered hand from Freddie, extending his own to Roger to create a chain, and in another moment, they’re standing again.

“I can’t feel my face,” Roger mumbles.

“Nor can I,” Freddie sighs. “What a lovely, absolutely horrible place this is, hm? People live here! All the time! By choice, even! Wild.”

“What in the fuck is ta-” is all Deaky manages to get out before going ass over teakettle into the snow as he storms out of his and Freddie’s room.

“Oh, Deaky,” Freddie tsks. “Let me help you, hang on.”

Freddie seems to have the best approach to the ice, sliding across the biggest patches in his platforms as if it’s the only way to cross them.

“What are you out here for?” Freddie asks as he helps John up.

“Wanted to see what all the noise was about; why you were taking so long just to get snacks,” John says. “What are these two out for?”

“Rude,” Roger scoffs. “Like we’ve been let out of prison or something.”

“Is that not what you would call this place?” Brian muses.

Roger nods. “Fair point. Still, manners, Deaky.”

“Manners,” John scoffs. “It’s fucking freezing out here, why are you lot standing around?”

“Excellent question!” Freddie says. “I can’t feel my face, hands, or co-”

“Fred,” Brian interrupts. “We may as well make it a group trip now.”

So it is, with Freddie as the oddly unaffected by ice centering piece, helping to hold the rest up as the slip and stumble.

“I fucking knew it,” Roger scoffs and slaps a cold hand on the vending machine, only to yank it away with a hiss. “Fucking metal burns to touch; what sort of fucking cold can do that?”

The machine in question did have snacks in it, when they had arrived a day earlier. It was only two nights at the motel, then on to the next city. In that time, someone has: A. broken the glass of the machine, B. stolen all the food, and C. the storm has filled it up with snow and ice, it being out in the elements rather than in an actual building.

There’s an unofficial moment of silence for their wasted trip, snow and ice coating hair and fur coats and leaving skin raw.

“We should get back,” Brian finally sighs.

“I’d like to try the moon instead,” Roger whimpers.

“What?” Freddie and Deaky ask in one voice.

Instead, they shuffle back to their rooms, bidding Freddie and Deaky good-bye, only to join them an hour later when the heat in their room ceases to work (not that it’s working in Freddie and Deaky’s room either, but they can accumulate more body heat with all four in one room.)

Outside, the snow falls and flies and piles outside the door until there’s no leaving for anything, let alone a trip to the broken vending machine or the moon.

trials & tribulations thoughts

the recency of tgwdlm meant i was thinking about this song throughout the whole game. anyways

i finished the game earlier this afternoon and wow that was a ride!! i did a short post after jfa but since i took a year-long gap between cases 3 & 4 of that game my memory wasn’t as fresh and i didnt necessarily have as much to say, so this time i’ll put it under a cut and keep it a bit more... organized?

turnabout memories

basically this case fuckin slaps. easily the strongest opening case so far, having it be a flashback is a good excuse for a tutorial case without... yknow... whatever that amnesia nonsense in jfa was. mia is awesome, college phoenix is adorable, dahlia... is dahlia. i knew going in that she was Not A Good Person so i’m glad they got that out right off the bat so it wasn’t like a huge spoiler lmao

also, it’s a classic ace attorney two-in-one case! those are always fun. anyways, this one was pretty straightforward, i felt like i was usually a few steps ahead of the game in putting the case together, but not so far that it was frustrating

the stolen turnabout

right so i’m just gonna put this out there: i love ron and desiree delite. they’re valid as fuck. ok thanks

this one genuinely threw me for a loop cause i went “whoa, a non-murder case??” and then, no just kidding, it’s a murder! but the way the two cases (the theft and the murder) played off each other, the double jeopardy rule, using one crime as an alibi for the other, all that was really neat

also, someone please get larry some respect women juice

sidenote: i called godot’s identity pretty much immediately, and i think i might have been influenced by some spoilers i’d seen in the past, but it was a long time ago and i don’t remember exactly what i saw? it’s hard to say. but between the coffee thing and the “i’ve returned from the depths of hell” bit i was onto him real fast

recipe for turnabout

okay. this case felt like the one real weak spot in this game tbh? i didn’t hate it but i had some... problems. here’s some stuff i really liked, to start:

viola. everything about her, really

the whole phony phoenix wright confusion

computer virus stuff

the way the murder reenactment kinda cracks the whole case open (the way phoenix reached that conclusion maybe not so much, but w/e)

bluffing at the end

maggey good

anyways. parts of this case were kinda? exhausting? victor kudo’s testimony kinda just seemed to drag on and lead nowhere for a long time until it’s ruled inconclusive... only for phoenix to suddenly go ‘actually, he was telling the truth, and he saw a fake version of the murder!’ which is interesting in and of itself, but it felt like a weird roundabout way to get there and i wasn’t following all the leaps of logic.

i wasn’t really all that into the maggey/gumshoe subplot either, like, it was fine, but it didn’t feel entirely necessary to me? whatever i guess

also armstrong being the effeminate gay man making everyone uncomfortable and that being played for humor was... not great.

turnabout beginnings

i felt uneasy for a lot of this case, knowing it ended badly somehow... and boy it sure did.

still, cool seeing young edgeworth (and how he was... taking after von karma. hm). also i have to wonder how that diego reveal plays if you’re not expecting it

as for the case itself... tbh there were a lot of points i got kinda tripped up on, i felt like you were using certain pieces of evidence a LOT? but it was interesting. anyways on to the big one

i absolutely loved how this brought together basically every major character and plot thread - the fey clan, DL-6, dahlia, diego armando, franziska’s return, just. fucking. everything. it’s all connected

some things i knew going in b/c spoilers (maya channeling dahlia), some things i just guessed early on (elise = misty), some things i had no fucking clue about (basically everything w/r/t iris, her family situation, godot being the killer), but regardless it was a hell of a ride. this track being everywhere was nice too

list in no particular order because there’s so much i wanna gush about:

dumbass phoenix rushing to save maya and falling in the fucking river. what did you think would happen? seriously though, i love their friendship and i, too, would cross a burning bridge for maya fey

PLAYING AS EDGEWORTH! it was a neat change of pace, and seeing him get a taste of things from phoenix’s side was nice. also his reaction to the psyche-locks

first day of trial being prosecutor v prosecutor and the second being defense attorney v defense attorney. idk how intentional that was. but it was neat

i have mixed feelings on him as, like, a person, but godot is an interesting character, and i figured he had to tie into it somehow but it completely slipped my mind that he could be the killer until maya’s testimony. so that was fun

everyone roasting larry’s sketch. the court record describing it as “horrible”

i love maya fey so much yall. i just wanna wrap her up in a blanket and give her some hot cocoa. she deserves the world. i may or may not have teared up a bit when she finally recovered and started her testimony and just looked. so drained after everything. that’s my girl

i think i’m done but long story short i loved this case and just about everyone in it. edgeworth and maya in particular just fuckin reached through the screen and latched the fuck on to my heart. good case

also... i’m still kinda sorting out my thoughts on iris? i liked her for sure, she was interesting, but there’s, like, a lot to unpack with her relationship with dahlia and phoenix and it’s. it’s a lot.

#sexual assault warning

ok oof oof so the final situation/timeline seems to be:

-person A initiates situation despite perfeienson B indicating he is drunk, both express clear and enthusiastic consent during and after

-they hook up the next morning and both express they had a rlly good time / vague interest in doing it again. A mentions she will keep it on the DL

-B tells me they hooked up and seems very surprised that i’m upset (at this point only upset bc my best friend and my ex have hooked up)

-i mention to A that seeing her and B flirt the night before upset me. she apologizes. i ask if she would ever hook up with him and she says of course not. i assumed she meant in the future bc i thought B had already told her I knew (he hadn’t) so i said obviously the night before was fine bc i hadn’t said anything to her abt it not being ok and drunk stuff happens. she says smthn along the lines of “oh yeah it was weird i wasn’t rlly into it, he initiated the whole thing”

-i express to her i had thought she was rlly drunk and had been worried abt it and disapproval bc i thought it had seemed obvious she was too drunk to he pursued

-she then says she was rlly drunk, barely remembers, she thinks he was sober. she says she kicked him out the next morning immediately and so he should have an idea she’s upset

-i ask if she’s doing ok and she dodges he question and says she doesn’t want to talk to him about it bt wants him to know he shouldn’t do that again. i ask if she wants me to instead bc she feels in and she says yeah. then i get mad at him for not being more careful , yell at him a lot, etc. he reacts rlly poorly

-i’m really upset and block him. she says she’s avoiding him but from then on out she keeps talking to him regularly. she tells him she remembers everything and isn’t sure why i’m so upset or what’s up (!!!)

-continues to express to me and friend C that she feels shitty abt it, he should’ve known she was rlly drunk, etc. i’m very miserable that one of my best friends turned out to be an unapologetic predator and that i have him blocked.

-he messages her this whole time expressing dismay and misery and basically begging for help bc nobody will talk to him. he apologizes to her (poorly) and she says not to talk about me or the event anymore. she expresses great disappointment that he gave a bad apology

-i unblock him to message him and tell him he needs to do better and needs to be sure he never does that to another girl again and then rebloxk him

-i talk to him so he can give my car keys to his sister and he asks me to hear his apology which i agree to. i then find out the other stuff and i apologize bc even tho i still think he fucked up it’s not nearly to the extent i thought he did

-i ask A if they hooked up the morning after and she says “yeah i told you that (i’m not crazy C was there when she denied it). i mention i talked to B. i ask a few other things and for some she gives different answers than before that add up w Bs story and says that that’s what she said before

-she expresses she’s glad B and i are friends again and just wants to put the whole situation behind her and not hear about it again. again says she barely remembers the night of. states everything between them was consensual that she remembers and she knows he never had ill intent toward her. all things she was NOT saying before

-possibility A) is she doesn’t remember what happened and is upset and confused about that, whcih obviously makes sense. she might not even remember sending the texts - tho she would’ve still seen the next day that she sent them. obviously a traumatic situation but one where it’s much harder to find fault in B than the one she presented bc how could he know

-option B) is she lied or stretched the truth about what happened to make herself not look bad (didn’t wanna admit she initiated or that they had sober sex) without realizing it made B look awful. and then got in too deep to back out. in this instance she is acting mostly out of self interest which i don’t want to believe

-option C) is most likely and thats that it is a mix of the two....i’m sure A wasn’t as into it or as engaged as B thinks but she clearly wasn’t a total passive party either. the fact that she remembered stuff before and doesn’t now is like. Suspicious but could also be bc it’s a a traumatic situation. but she at least lied abt the morning after and who initiated, and she’s changed her story based on what she thinks i know which B hasn’t done

i don’t wanna doubt a victim but he has a strong evidence and when i asked abt it she changed her story and made it seem like i was just misremembering which.... doesn’t sit right.. idk i was more upset at him when i thought he did assault her than i am st her for having led me to think that obviously but i’m still really upset. i feel like i can’t trust anybody tbh !!!! oof. i feel like i rushed too fast into trying to defend and help her ?? i couldn’t believe he’d do that bc he isn’t that kind of person but of course i believed her !!!! but now i feel like i should’ve collected his side first which is confusing bc i don’t think you should forgive ppl who do shit like that until their victim does. but i don’t actually think he did anything wrong and he had no way to know she might be upset so even tho (if) it was a bad experience for her he’s not like. a bad guy. i’m worried he’s also like. traumatized by the situation tbh.

anywya i think they’re both rlly hurt but i don’t have it in me to talk abt it with either of them. i’m so drained

The Truth About Vitamin Supplements USA - Are These Necessary?

So you feel pretty good about having taken vitamins for years. Think about how healthy you are because of all those vitamin pills you allowed. But wait. You hear a news report that says vitamin pills are a waste of money. Or someone says that most people already get enough vitamins in their diet. Worse yet, taking too much of certain kinds of Vitamin Supplementsmight harm you!

The jury is still out on this. It's complicated. And to confuse us more, many reports and studies are either done improperly or intentionally manipulated to show desired results. Vitamin Supplements USA are a huge business. Manufacturers and distributors take in billions of dollars a year.

What we want is the best advice. If we need them, what dietary supplements do we really need? And which ones work?

1. Do We Need Dietary Supplements?

Or "Vitamins are a waste of money". All of those fast answers are meaningless to us. We want to see some research to back up those answers. We never hear someone say "you don't need vitamin pills because according to a study done in... and continue to cite specifics about the study".

You'll often hear medical doctors say that you don't need Vitamin Supplements. Our own doctor recommends Vitamin Supplementshowever. He says we probably don't get everything we need from our diet. This seems to be a reasonable recommendation.

So here are some specifics for you. We've done some research ourselves. And we've found some sources that we think are somewhat dependable.

From the Mayo Clinic. Written by the Mayo Clinic Staff.

The article points out that Vitamin Supplements List are not intended as a replacement for food. Rather they are intended, as the name directly describes, as a supplement. Something to be added to your existing diet. Foods are complex and they offer other benefits besides the vitamins or whatever other supplements you are taking. They don't recommend Vitamin Supplements to healthy people under 50. They do recommend supplements or food with iron and folic acid for pregnant women. They recommend vitamin B12 in the form of supplements or food to adults over 50 years of age. They suggest supplements for people who don't eat well, are vegetarian, have a medical condition that affects absorption of nutrients, or have had surgery that interferes with nutrient absorption. They do not recommend mega doses of Vitamin Supplements Brands.

From the National Institute of Health

This is a long technical article. The main conclusion of this article is that most of us don't need multivitamin and mineral supplements. And that they are not beneficial in reducing the risk of chronic diseases such as ischemic heart disease, cancer, and stroke. Healthy individuals do not need Vitamin Supplementsthey say.

From WebMD - Do Older Adults Need Vitamins, Supplements?

This article says that about half of older adults take vitamins and other supplements. But most of those can improve their diet instead to get what they need. Some research suggests that older people may need more vitamins B6, B12, and Folate. The article also suggests that vitamin D is sometimes needed as a supplement for older adults. The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics says older adults should pay special attention to their intake of calcium, vitamin D, vitamin B-12, potassium, and fiber.

Supplements for a Healthy Heart. Do Vitamin Supplements Really Help Your Heart?

This is an article by a dietitian. It discusses many of the common supplements that people use for heart health including baby aspirin, vitamin B, vitamin C, vitamin E, fish oil supplements, Coenzyme Q-10, Niacin, Green Tea Extract, Plant Sterols and Stanols, Red Yeast Rice, and a few more. She is not strongly recommending any of these as supplements but seems to also be suggesting that many of them have been shown to be beneficial. Some good information but not strong recommendations in this article.

And of course there are thousands more articles and studies on supplements. A lot of conflicting information and recommendations which leave us uncertain of what's best.

2. Should I Take Vitamin Supplements?

We’re sure that some of what's in our vitamin pills do no good. But there just might be some benefit. Maybe my diet lacks some of the vitamins we get in the pills we take. So we'll keep taking a multivitamin pill every day. But we better make sure they are good quality, otherwise it's a total waste of money.

3. Should I Take Vitamins And Other Supplements To Prevent Heart Disease?

We've read studies and recommendations that go both ways. However, some studies such as the Lyon Diet Heart Study and the Seven Countries Study show that there are foods, or things in food, that seem to lower heart disease risk. Lifestyle and exercise are part of the whole picture as well. The Mediterranean diet became popular as a result of the Seven Countries Study. Elements of the Mediterranean diet are still commonly recommended in the prevention of heart disease. We think most would agree that you can make a difference by eating right and adding supplements to make it easier to get what's needed. My answer to this question is yes. Yes I should take Vitamin Supplements.

Dietary Supplements Often Recommended For Heart Health

· Fish Oil Supplements with DHA and EPA

· Vitamins A, C, D, E, B6, B9, B12

· Make sure your vitamin E is not dl-alpha-tocopherol-acetate. Use high-gamma vitamin E instead.

4. How To Know If Vitamin Pills Are Good Quality?

Vitamin pills in liquid or tablet form tend to lose their potency and are difficult for your body to absorb. Capsule form is the best way to preserve the minerals and receive maximum absorption. Avoid synthetic vitamins. Use natural forms instead.

If you take Vitamin Supplements that don't work because they are poor quality, that's obviously a waste of money. We've found a website that claims to have tested many brands. Alright people, its that time again...

((If you're really not in the mood to read through all this - even though i highly suggest you do - skip to the final paragraph. I've got a "Too Long; Didn't Read" Summary for you))

So, everyone pretty much knows about Mark's super vague, ultra secret project, right? Let's get some quick point-notes down first;

• He's been super vague about this • He plays multiple characters • It comes out October, Friday the 13th • It was shot in some mansiony-castle looking thing in the middle of nowhere • @reverseblackholeofwords said she may have remembered Mark saying it was a multi-part thing at one point, but she's not fully certain. ((If you need an example, think back to the "A Date With Markiplier" video))

Alright, so the main, universal theory at the moment is that it has something to do with the Egos - which I agree with. Multiple characters with Mark? That usually calls for something ego related.

But what ABOUT the egos? What are they doing? What's happening with them? Well think about these 3 points right here.

- It comes out October, Friday the 13th - It was shot in some mansiony-castle looking thing in the middle of nowhere - It has a high possibility of being a multi-part thing

Now, October is known for being the month of fright due to Halloween, and Friday the 13th is known for being a very unlucky day, superstition wise. So what could possibly matchup with these 2 'holidays' intermingling?

Everyone knows about the old-cliche of Murder Mystery, right? (¬u¬)ﾉ

ITS ENTIRELY POSSIBLE, AND NOT EVEN THAT FAR OFF With the secret project being in October AND on the most unluckiest day of the year, I really do think it might have something to do with a Murder Mystery Party.

Mark has shown he's not afraid to "kill off" people.

Bing died to the Googles, Wilford mercy-killed Septicplier, WE HAD THE CHOICE TO KILL DARK AND/OR MARK.

Mark has shown on multiple occasions he is not afraid to "kill off" anyone

Plus, its in some mansion-castley thing, in the middle of goddamn nowhere. Mark could barely get any service out there. It took him an hour to upload a 1 minute video while there. That's just BEGGING for some gruesome murder to take place.

...So why wouldn't it?

There's also another good point. If were going to be having a Murder Mystery Party, someone would have to HOST that party, right?

I would not be the LEAST bit surprised if The Host hosted a party at some mansion thing, plus it'd explain the egos being there, and everyone would be right in their assumptions that the main ego it would surround is The Host

AND, I may be looking a bit too far back, but people still remember Markiplier Makes: FanFiction, yeah? When he freaked us out with wearing The Host's jacket in the beginning? Remember what he said?

"I am your... Host of sorts. Although I may be donning this outfit, I will not be HOSTING you today "

So - if it IS a Murder Mystery - it could mean either Mark has been planning this for MONTHS ahead of time, had the idea WAY ahead of time, or he could just be really amazing at continuity. All 3 are extremely possible.

and if its a multi-part thing like the Valentine's Day Video, well than that just adds a BUTTLOAD of extra fun OWO xD

Alright, so the TL;DR summary of it all is; • Mark has done his damn hardest to keep this project pretty much on the DL • The video comes out on October, Friday The 13th • Markiplier is playing multiple characters, most likely the egos • Mark is not the least bit afraid • Considering the timing, it could be a Murder Mystery Party • The Host would most likely be the host of the party • It might be a multi-part video like the "Date With Markiplier"

Though we'll just have to wait and see, considering this is just a theory XP

A Common Cause – a case study

Remember that there are three responses of the endothelial tissue: acute inflammation, oxidative stress, and autoimmune disease. Now let’s dig deeper into the most common cause of heart issues as well as strokes and TIAs – autoimmune endothelial dysfunction (AED).

I gave you an overview of autoimmune disease in part 3 of this series, so let’s just concentrate on what happens in the vessels. Remember that we discussed that the single-cell layer that lines the vascular structures acts as a barrier or wall that has hundreds of gates called receptors that allow interaction between the external world (inside the blood vessel) and the internal world (inside the endothelial cell and then under it – in the space between the endothelial cells and the smooth muscles).

This microscopic world cannot be underestimated as the tiny chemicals that enter the gates change the cell and its ability to interact to its environment. Let’s illustrate with a real-life example:

John was 54 years old and went in for his annual check-up. After a thorough exam and blood work his doctor determined that John’s cholesterol, a 203, needed attention. He was also concerned that the slightly elevated blood pressure required medicating and re-assured John that both the Lipitor for his cholesterol and the blood pressure medication at the small dose he was recommending was absolutely necessary to keep John from an early myocardial event like that experienced by John’s father.

But let’s look at what was really happening: Deep inside John’s blood vessels the endothelial layer we’ve detailed has been infiltrated years ago by foreign invaders. Helicobacter Pylori, an enemy that is more commonly known for causing stomach ulcers is perhaps the most common pathogen to crawl past the stomach lining and invade deeper tissue. H. Pylori bacteria have slowly spread into cells in John’s lungs and vessels. Normally an invasion like this would stimulate an all-out attack by local law-enforcement officers (the immune system) but every troop dispersed has found little success as the enemy is cunning and has the ability to enter and hide within the cells it attacks. Over time, John’s immune system has placed H. Pylori on its top ten most wanted list and has waged a silent war against this elusive enemy, often finding it in different areas in the body. The attacks on the H. Pylori found in the endothelium has caused slow, insidious inflammation in the vessels that has opened gates for chemical responses that increased smooth muscle tone under the vascular wall – this is what caused the increase in John’s blood pressure.

But John’s doctor hasn’t bothered to address the cause of John’s high blood pressure; he’s just prescribed ACE inhibitors to manipulate the numbers. As far as giving him Lipitor for cholesterol levels of less than 400 – well will save that for another time. But it gets worse:

John leaves the doctor’s office feeling that he has just added years to his life by artificially manipulating lab values back into a pre-determined range. Far be it from the truth! The CAUSE of John’s problem has just continued and the H. Pylori bacteria continue to take a foot-hold in various places including the endothelial layer in vessels around the heart. Years go by and the FBI (his immune system) has now declared war on H. Pylori, making it prime enemy number one. This intensifies the inflammatory response in an attempt to kill the bad guy that increases the fluid build-up under the single-cell layer of tissue lining the arteries. This bulges the cell lining further into the lumen slightly blocking the flow of blood through the vessels. It also increases the smooth muscle tone and despite the doctor’s increase in dosage over the past few years, John’s blood pressure required another medication.

Continue the story a few more years and see John lying in a hospital bed after placement of a stent or bypass surgery where the cardiologist found 90% blockage in several arteries. “We’ve done everything we could,” may be a commonly heard at this point. But is that true?

Let’s ask a couple questions:

1. Was CAUSE ever addressed? 2. Everything I’ve taught you to this point is NOT alternative; it’s all in the literature. Why didn’t anyone dig any deeper? 3. If CAUSE is just going to be ignored, is John EVER going to really get better?

Let’s just pretend that John came into my office before deciding to fill his prescriptions:

John enters with some legitimate concerns with his heart that we need to address. We do NOT want to make the mistake of prescribing a ‘natural’ cholesterol and blood pressure reducer without finding the cause as we often see ‘alternative’ clinics do. This isn’t any more correct care than using drugs! I can’t tell you how many patients come to me thinking they are doing good in taking red yeast rice extract instead of Lipitor to reduce cholesterol levels. I simply ask one question, “Did you even bother figuring out WHY your cholesterol levels are high?” This usually gets people thinking. Why in the world would you use drugs OR natural substances to artificially manipulate lab values without figuring out the cause?

It really makes me mad to read ‘natural newsletters’ that just push the sale of nutrients to treat problems going on inside. Remember – a positive lab value or a symptom are just SIGNS, they are SIGNALS, like beacons telling you that there is something wrong – we don’t want to make this same mistake. If you cover up the sign, even with natural treatments without finding and fixing the CAUSE, you are in big trouble!

Let’s get back to John. After explaining the need to find the cause, he agrees to a thorough examination and series of functional labs which may include: Oxidized LDL (oxLDL), Homocysteine, high sensitivity C-Reactive Protein (hsCRP) which may indicate acute inflammation. Tests that may reveal oxidative stress include: 8-hydroxyguanosine (8-OHG) & 8-hydroxy-2’-deoxyguanosine (8-OHdG) – products of oxidized DNA and RNA; Malondialdehyde (MDA) – byproduct of lipid peroxidation; and Glutathione Superoxide Dismutase (SOD) – if decreased suspect oxidative stress.

As far as measuring blood lipid levels, we want to get more specific than just cholesterol, LDL and HDL levels: LDLs: Lipoprotein (a) is a ‘regular’ LDL with a protein structure attached. This combination increases the risk of CVD. Levels are largely genetic but should be <30 mg/dL. Apolipoprotein B is a carrier protein that helps LDL deposit fat in arterial walls – levels should be <60 mg/dL. IDL (intermediate density lipoprotein) are VLDLs that are depositing some of their cholesterol and fat in the arteries. As VLDLs shed their fat, they become more dense and graduate to become an LDL. LDL-real (LDL-R) – all remaining LDLs. Some are small, some large. The smaller ones are more ‘dangerous’ even though they carry less cholesterol because they can better infiltrate damaged endothelium. In general: the smallest size LDL (LDL-B) is the most dangerous. LDL-A is least dangerous. VLDL or Triglycerides should be <75 mg/dL.

HDLs: HDL-2 – larger and more protective (especially HDL-2b); HDL-3 – smaller, less protective; Normally HDL is anti-oxidant and generally protective BUT…in the presence of a large amount of inflammation (like a chronic Autoimmune disorder), HDL can become oxidized that renders it useless.

An example of a more complete blood work-up for dyslipidemia might include: Total Cholesterol, HDL Cholesterol and its sub factors, LDL Cholesterol and its sub factors, Triglycerides, Lipoprotein (a), Lipoprotein Ratios: LDL/HDL & Total/HDL, Ferritin, Fibrinogen, c-Reactive Protein (HS), Insulin ; Testosterone; Sex Hormone Binding Globulin; Free Androgen Index; Magnesium, Homocysteine ; Coenzyme Q10; Lipid Peroxides. There’s more but that suffices.

Tests to identify autoimmune dysfunction include: specific cytokine tests to measure increases in IL-1, IL-2, IL-6, IL-10; Heavy Metal toxicity testing; specific food antigen testing; environmental toxicity testing, and so on. I use Kinesiology testing and have kits for every know bio-toxin (virus, mold, fungus, parasite, bacteria) known to man.

Whew, this is really getting boring with all these big words so let me summarize:

1. Never take medication based on lab work that doesn’t identify CAUSE 2. There are many more specific labs that can be done that point to one of the three causes of endothelial dysfunction 3. You NEED to identify if you have an local inflammatory process, an oxidative stress response, or an autoimmune disorder that is causing the endothelial dysfunction in order to treat it properly 4. One of the above three reactions in the endothelium will most likely be the cause of an increased cholesterol production by the liver in order to ‘heal’ the damaged artery so fix the endothelial problem first

So let’s pretend that after testing John that we discovered that he had an autoimmune inflammatory reaction in his arteries. If you’ve read any of my material on autoimmune/inflammatory conditions you’ll know that the next question that MUST be answered is “what is the antigen (the thing that the immune system is firing against)”. We’ll pretend that further examination reveals that John’s endothelial dysfunction stemmed from an H. Pylori infection that infiltrated his stomach tissue years ago and embedded in the pulmonary and heart endothelium.

If we don’t address John’s CAUSE, will he ever get better? This is why statistics bear witness to the fact that our current, medical approach to heart disease, though it may be efficient at saving lives in acute crisis, is woefully inadequate at treating chronic disease. In my office, I want to treat the cause therefore in this case we would treat the H. Pylori infection and modulate the immune response.

I know this was a lot of information this week but ‘hang on’; I break it all down in more bite-size bits as we go. Always remember to KEEP ASKING WHY and never settle for a simple diagnosis.

Not sure if my fathers age has anything to do with rates, but he is 65 years old and pays $600 for six months (for one of his two cars) a 2003 Toyota Corolla with over 100,000 miles on it. Does anyone understand how rental cars work? Insurance/fuel fees... Think I got taken to school on this.?

I just had to bring my car to the shop for a repair. They ended up needing to keep it. Now a rental was covered under the warranty. So at least the rental was covered. But the guy had me signing off on insurance and what not. I guess the insurance on my car would cover the rental if I had an accident. But they would take from my cars deductible. So I basically signed off on a Collision Damage Waiver and also personal accident insurance. I did decline supplemental liability insurance though. Should the warranty be covering these fees or was this an extra that I got talked into? Because if the warranty covers the rental they aren't making anything. My understanding is it could be better because I am covered under their insurance if I have an accident and it wouldn't come off my own cars deductible? It started when my 2007 gs eclipse clutch gave out the dealership close to my house wasn't a very professional looking place when it came to their shop they mistreated the cars that where there and had old rusted cars parked in their lot. My mom suggested that I get repair by my cousins husband so my mom handed me her cell phone called him and told me to bring it in the morning because he worked all day til 7pm and if i couldn't get to him to leave the key under the plant in front of the garage door (that call was on 6-24-09). I tried to get there early enough (6-25-09) but i missed him and no one was home so I placed the key under the plant and left I told the police officer that I had made a call to him after dropping the key but the phone number to reach him was on my moms cell phone. I thought I did I couldn't remember because I came back a day later for the car. After I walked home I thought id leave it there a day so he could find the problem, since he gets home at 7pm. When I got there on 6-26-09 my car wasn't there and they said they never saw it there so i called the police to see if it was towed it wasn't and the key wasn't there either, police came over and took my statement but on the report he stated that the car was stolen on 6-26-09 and the phone number I used to call to tell them I was leaving the car there was written down wrong. The insurance company said that the inconsistencies where that I did not use my cell to make a phone call on the 6-24-09 or 6-25-09 I told them that i used my mothers cell phone in the oath recorded meeting they recorded my statement a week after i reported my car stolen and i failed to tell them i used my mothers cell phone but they didn't ask and I also told them I called when I placed the key under the plant but I was confused because I had called my cousin twice on 6-24-09. I never failed to make a payment on any of my bills and i have good credit score I'm in fact almost done with my car payment.
