A/N: I've never watched Pirates of the Caribbean but this scene is so intense, it was honestly fun to write. Enjoy this Husk x Reader request!

Warnings: violence duh, a lot of killing, that's about it
Marry Me! Now! [ Husk x F!Reader ]
It was chaos amidst the ambush. You were fighting for your life on the ship. Your energy didn’t falter one bit as adrenaline rushed through your veins. Husk fought on the opposite side of the ship. He was worried, panicked, as he searched for you in the bloodshed. The angels were unrelenting and though he knew you could hold out on your own, he couldn’t help but worry when he lost sight of you. The moment he saw you, he made his way over, slashing every enemy on his way.
You swung and decapitated another angel, unaware of the one behind you. You turned and saw the sword coming down but before any damage could be done, the angel fell at your feet thanks to Husk’s cards. You looked at where the card came from and it was Husk, covered in golden blood. “Y/N!” He grabbed your wrist, pulling you close to him as he slashed yet another angel behind you. You looked at him bewildered, your hair drenched in golden blood, “Will you marry me?”
You blinked at him. Confused, shocked, honored, and flustered. You strike another angel that came from the side, killing it in one swing. “I don’t think now’s the best time for this, Husk.” You screamed as you ducked, dodging a sword that came for your head and slicing at the angel’s chest before stabbing it in the neck.
“If I don’t ask you now, I don’t know when I’ll ever get-” He grunted as he threw his explosive dice into an angel’s head before tossing it towards another wave of angels, blowing them all up instantly. “-another chance!”
You ran up to him, out of breath but still full of energy. He looked you in the eyes, “I love you.” He said softly. You could melt into his arms right then and there but now is not the time for that. Your head turned to another angel trying to attack one of Sir Pentious’ egg bois, slicing it down to protect him. Husk continued to fight alongside you, covering your blind spots as you did his. Everyone in the hotel is giving it their all for this war and with the cannibals’ help, you’re certain you all would be dead by now. Husk pulls your arm into him again. “I’ve made my choice. What’s yours?” His voice was stern this time, looking at you with confidence.
You nodded your head and yelled, “Lucifer!” You looked up at Hell’s king, “Lucifer! Marry us!”
Lucifer was currently dodging Adam’s attacks but he had some time to turn to look at the two of you down below, “I’m a little bit busy at the moment!” He yelled out, throwing Adam into the Hazbin Hotel’s marquee.
You and Husk continue to fend off the attack, protecting the other hotel staff together. Husk tuts and looks back up, “Lucifer now!”
Lucifer groans and throws Adam down onto the ground, temporarily disabling him from attacking. “Goodness! We’re in a rush. Alright, alright.” He says, flying towards the two of you, getting rid of any angel that blocked his path. “Dearly beloved!” He announced, catching the attention of everyone around you, “We’re gathered here today to celebrate the union of Y/N and Husk despite the-” He easily dodges a beam from Adam, who is now slowly recovering energy to start fighting again. “-circumstances.” He groaned at Adam’s second attempt at shooting him, “Be right back! Do your vows!” He flew over to land a couple more hits on Adam.
Husk throws his dice at angels flying down towards the two of you while you slice down the ones on the ground. “Will you accept me to be your husband, Y/N?” Husk spoke.
“Fuck off!” You yelled at an angel, stabbing it all the way through its chest and skewering one more in one swift movement, “Yes, I do!” You smiled at him.
“Great!” Husk smiled at you back. The two of you dodge another angel’s attempt to slice off both of your heads and the two of you stab it, throwing its corpse aside. You locked hands with him, using him to swing yourself around to get the angel behind him.
“Husk, will you take me as your wife?” You yelled, killing another angel. The two of you spun around, killing all angels that came in your way that rudely interrupted the ceremony.
“I do.” He grabbed you by the waist with confidence in his eyes as he threw dice behind him, exploding on contact at the angel that flew into it.
Lucifer flies by above you both, slowing down enough for the two of you to hear him say, “As King of Hell, I now pronounce you husband and wife! Congrats! Have a duck!” He smiles, dropping rubber duck versions of yourselves in your hands. “Kiss!”
As soon as you were about to kiss, an angel flew up behind Husk. You stab it quickly and kiss him with all the passion you can muster. The angel’s forces died down and Lucifer had taken down Adam. Husk held you close as you two shared the most passionate kiss Hell had ever seen, especially in these circumstances.
“I love you, idiot.” You smile.
“I love you too, wife.” Husk smiled.
And with that, the extermination was over. There was a brief moment of the staff congratulating you two. Vaggie, though a little confused why now had to be the time he had to ask you to marry him, she was clapping and crying tears of joy. Charlie was ecstatic despite the sadness she felt from losing Sir Pentious.
The entirety of Hell had seen the marriage from Vox streaming the extermination, shocking everyone.
But all that didn’t matter. Now you two were married and all you needed to do was get rings for each other.

I had so many plans for this weekend. So many different things I was going to work on. And then Rehearsing Tragedies (my Slave!Castiel story) consumed my soul, and I spent my entire Saturday writing it. Somehow, I got from an incredibly amusing scene where Dean half-jokingly threatens to spank Castiel (in a non-sexy way) for being so violent and uncooperative all the time to an absolutely gut-wrenching scene where Castiel is terrified out of his mind but can’t do anything to stop what’s happening to him because he’s been drugged but is fully aware. Yet, it’s all linear. One thing leads to the next. Castiel’s constant resistance leads to… something that I’m not giving away right now. Point is, I gave myself whiplash, so I can’t imagine what it’s going to do to you guys. Ahem.
But I did manage to get some other stuff done, including some work on Through the Gate (Criminal Minds x Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood)! I’ve got about six chapters done, and I’ll be posting the first chapter on Wednesday, 05/22/2024. I don’t know if I’m going to be posting every Wednesday like I have been or if I’m going to do every other Wednesday, at least until I have more completed. We’re gonna see how it goes!
I got some work done on Sparkling Eyes and Cigarette Burns, though not as much as I wanted (because Slave!Castiel consumed my soul). I’ll be working on it throughout the week during my lunch breaks and when I get home from work, so hopefully I’ll at least have the chapter complete, if not ready to post, by next weekend.
I don’t want to talk about publishing. I just… don’t want to talk about it. Ugh.

if there's one thing claire has learned pretty fast throughout the years is that fine is really just a nice façade to hide whatever inner turmoil - perfectly fine even worse, it borders into the kind of territory where next thing you know your loved ones are sitting you down to let you know that perhaps you need to take some meds. absolutely not the story of her life lately, by the way.

"we won't get out of here unless we start cooperating." comes after a while, features slightly wincing upon seeing a figure loom in the shadows, possibly looking right at them. a knife is retrieved from the pocket of her cargos, then handed over. "we need more weapons but for now this is all we got."
