Their hands reach out to squeeze Michael and Alfredo’s, and then they lead them obediently back out into the lab.

Both men fall asleep buried beneath the blankets of their bed, wrapped in each other’s arms. And if they don’t get up till well past noon that day then, honestly, who can blame them?
4) The World in My Hands (Alfreyco, G, hurt/comfort GTA AU)
His broken arm is resting between their chests, his ribs might be aching a little bit, and Trevor is almost falling off the bed but they both have to admit that there is nowhere else they would rather be.
5) To Hell With Good Intentions, To Hell is Where I'll Go (no pairings, M, horror GTA AU)
Because, even though he was put in a coma for two weeks, he still feels like he could sleep for a year. He lets out a deep breath and settles into the bed, finally safe at last.
6) Kind of Perfect (Rewrite) (Alfreyco, G, no specific AU just fluff)
Driving down the highway with the smell of salt and suntan lotion filling his nose, a cute boy in his passenger seat singing off key to some pop song, and Geoff’s barbeque in his near future Alfredo came to the conclusion that maybe this move wasn’t such a bad thing. That it actually might be kind of perfect.
7) Wolves Will Take Me Home (Mavin, T, hurt/comfort Werewolf AU)
The only sounds filling the room were those of soft breathing and two hearts connected, beating in time with each other as the rest of the world woke up around them.
8) In the Woods Somewhere (no pairings, G, Fantasy AU)
As his eyelids shut, with the sound of sleeping creatures around him, Dan’s last thought before being overcome by sleep was that it was a good thing to have met Gavin today and that hopefully he had all his limbs when he woke up tomorrow morning.
9) Lights Will Guide You Home (Jackeoff, T, fluff and angst AH Kings/Fantasy AU)
And with a sudden rush of relief and joy that almost knocked him off his feet, Jack realized he would be able to hear it for all of eternity until time itself decided to stop.
10) A Stray in the Wasteland (Stucky, G, Mad Max AU)
The man’s arms encircled his waist when he increased the bike’s speed. Bucky wondered what Natasha and Sam would think when they saw what he brought home.

The most common thing I notice is that I love the hell out of comfy, happy endings where usually one or both people are asleep apparently. It's just so cute to make everyone fall asleep after they've had a rough time and they deserve it! You just can't go wrong with a good snooze!
Also (which tbh I already knew) I love me some fluff and hurt/comfort. That shit just hits DIFFERENT. And happy endings (even if the plot itself is sad).

For the RWBY character prompt thing: you gotta tell me about Ironwood for sure! And if somebody already asked, how's about Qrow? :)
OH BABEY A DOUBLE (I’m gunna put Qrow in a separate post to avoid making this too long) thank you so much!
Warning: This is a PRO IRONWOOD POST. I also go into team RWBY taking responsibility for their abuse towards Ozpin. Don’t read this if you don’t like it. You’ve been warned
My top three two ships for Ironwood
1) Ironqrow (Ironwood x Qrow) {Volumes 3-7}
I have loved the idea of these two since the fall of beacon. When they first interacted, I wasn’t too sure about them because it seemed like they didn’t really like each other.. but that scene where all the robots were turning on beacon and Qrow spotted ironwood, ran at him with his scythe, only to jump over him and save him from a Grimm, sold the ship to me. It was clear that they didn’t actually despise each other. Qrow wasn’t quick to point fingers; he knew that what was going on wasn’t James’ fault, and he even tried to add a little bit of comic relief to the scene. (When ironwood’s ship fell, and Qrow smirked “well, it won’t be much of a walk”)
My love for the ship was reinforced in v6 (yeah I know it was the fan service volume but I’m rolling with it anyway). Qrow knew that they HAD to get to ironwood in order to complete their goal. He trusted James, and he knew that he was a smart and capable leader who would know what to do (ah,, the good old days ;;)
And then in the early episodes of v7, their bickering that we once saw in v3 was non existent. They were happy to see each other, and James even initiated a hug. He was just so relieved to see him ;; it made my heart melt, I remember posting about this moment so much, all over instagram and tumblr. I loved them so dearly.
2) Ironwood x Glynda (idk if they have a ship name)
God,, I always loved them. that scene in v2 with Ironwood and Glynda standing together in the dead of night looking over the city of vale was so special to me. I love Glynda and her character, she is so dynamic. that scene with her and ironwood showed to us that she truly respected and cared for him and his well-being. She was worried for him as well. I just wish they had more interactions before his death. they would have been very sweet and POWERFUL together.
My three least favourite ships for Ironwood
1) Ironqrow {Volumes 7-8}
Oh boy. RT really knows how to take something good and just, ruin it huh.
I feel as though I don’t need to dive too deep into this (as I’ll be covering Ironwood’s fall from grace later) but yeah... The fight with Qrow and Clover was.. unfortunate. Everyone seemed to lose their braincells in that scene, and the moment it was over, Qrow was dead set on killing Ironwood for some reason even though he was the one who decided to side with a literal murderer, but go off MKEK you really did something there...
Yepp this absolutely killed the ship for me in canon (though I stilln love thinking about them out of the canon setting), I was an absolute wreck after this scene. they deserved better.
2) Ironwood x Winter
don’t worry I’m not about to pull the “IRONWOOD WAS AN ABUSIVE FATHER FIGURE AND GROOMED HER CAREERRHYUGGHR” no.
I always saw Ironwood as a POSITIVE father figure to winter, even before v7. We knew that winter was one of his best soldiers, and was most likely one of his students before then. I believe that Ironwood gave winter a chance at something great, to leave her actual abusive father and hone her skills as a soldier instead of becoming the heiress to a company that she did not want to be tied to. I believe Ironwood was a stellar father figure and role model to her, and that is the reason why I do not ship them. their relationship was so much deeper than that. it was found family.
3) Ironwood x Salem
What the fuck. Like actually what? This was a thing? What is it with this fandom and glorifying abusive relationships... I remember seeing a lot of people trying to justify it like “awh salem was so sweet with him she just wanted him to stop fighting. She would leave him alone after!!” Thats manipulation honey, we don’t fuck with that here. no. Absolutely not
My biggest criticism for Ironwood

It’s no secret to us in the RWDE community that his fall into the role of the villain was POORLY WRITTEN AND WE ALL HATE IT SO FUCKING MUCH. where the hell did this even come from? oh I know! TEAM RWBY LYING TO HIS FACE AFTER HE WAS NOTHING BUT KIND AND GENEROUS TO THEM. god I’m heated already.
I’ve talked about his stupid semblance before but it doesn’t even matter because his semblance wasn’t the cause of his descent anyway. We were all HOPING that it was but nope! it was him “losing his humanity” because he lost his other arm. How fucked up is that.
Shitty writing aside, I know James had flaws even before the shitshow that was v7-8, but honestly there was nothing he did that I can criticize harshly. He was a good and honest man with good intentions and a pure, big heart made of gold. Of course he made mistakes and of course he wasn’t perfect, but he was always trying to do the right thing to protect the people. He was a good man until MKEK decided they needed a reason to kill off another headmaster.
My favourite thing about Ironwood
his MUSCLES
His willingness to sacrifice himself to save others. During the fall of beacon he told the students that they didn’t have to stay, even though he could have used the help greatly. But he KNEW that they weren’t ready to handle a crisis like this, and he didn’t want to force them into a responsibility that could have left them emotionally/physically damaged, or worse.
During the Ironwood and Watts fight, IRONWOOD MANGLED HIS OWN ARM TO CAPTURE WATTS. He was so headstrong and brave and he wanted to do everything he could to prevent Salem, even if that meant hurting himself and losing another part of himself. God I miss him so much ;; I’m tearing up a little writing all of this...
A head canon I have for Ironwood
I love creating head canons for characters, it always makes them feel more real to me. one of my biggest head canons is that, in a peaceful world setting, he would enjoy sleeping in on the weekends. ;;. He is a headmaster AND a general which means he has to follow a strict schedule all the time. Maybe this is coming from my desire to take care of him and make sure he is happy and healthy and not stressed out.. But yeah, lazy Sundays, sleeping in late. pls let him sleep he needs so much sleep.
What I would change about Ironwood if I were making a rewrite
Strap in kiddos I’ve been thinking about this for a very long time. I’m sure that someone has come up with a similar concept, but I will share my ideas anyway (: I am going to preface this by saying that for this rewrite to work, we need to have Winter receive the Winter maiden powers from Freya in V7.
To start, we will have to go back all the way to v2 when Ironwood was first introduced. I would have Ozpin and Glynda share their concerns to each other about Ironwood bringing all of his ships to look over the festival, but I would take that time to thoroughly explain his semblance. His semblance is stupid, so I would make some changes. To start off, I wouldn’t make it passive. The way it is now is just,, a weird way to give him a mental illness without actually giving him a mental illness. Activating it would have to be a decision that he made if he knew that he had to make decisions that would be hard for him. This way if his semblance caused him to do something actually horrible, he would be directly accountable for it, instead of blaming him for something that he couldn’t control. Semblances are a representation of the user, so with time and with more stress put onto Ironwood, I could see him falling victim to his own semblance if he were to abuse it too much. This will help as we lead into a better way to write his fall from grace.
From there, I would keep pretty much everything the same until we get to v7. Team RWBY arrives in Atlas and gets arrested and brought to Ironwood just as they do in canon. This time, however, we have Oscar explain EVERYTHING. No lying. Salem cannot be killed. Oscar explains that Ozpin shut himself off after team RWBY forced the truth out of him, and while the truth is a lot for Ironwood to handle, he understands why Ozpin kept it a secret. He shuns team RWBY for their methods and explains why their actions were unnecessary and abusive, but agrees to help them anyway since he knows that they all need to come together if this is going to work. Hence, his arc kind of goes backwards. Instead of team RWBY having his trust from the beginning, they will need to work to gain it back.
He takes Oscar under his wing to try and draw Ozpin back out. He greets Qrow, they fall in love, he also formally introduces the team to the Ace Ops. The Ace Ops take an IMMEDIATE backseat in the story. We don’t need more characters. For the sake of this rewrite specifically, they are barely around. We are focusing on Ironwood and his growth/relationships. I would explore more times to show the deep connection between him and Winter. As I said earlier, I see him as a healthy father figure for her, so I would definitely focus on that for a bit. At this point, Winter would not have received the maidens power yet, so we could have a scene of him assuring her that she is a perfect fit for the role, and encouraging her and just,, you know, solidifying that he wasn’t pressuring her into doing it.
Carrying on with the main plot, instead of being left in the dark for the whole season, Ironwood is already aware that Salem cannot be killed. This gives him and the rest of the team a lot of time to work on a new plan to defeat her. They spend lots of time training, Ironwood takes care of them, offering his resources to them. Overtime the team do start to gain his trust little by little again, but this will all kinda fall apart when Salem arrives.
With stress levels higher than ever, he activates his semblance. Team RWBY and friends KNOW about his semblance and they understand why he is acting irrationally. Maybe they have different ideas than him, but they would not directly oppose him. This completely fixes him from becoming a cartoon villain. Team RWBY and friends would work WITH Ironwood at a distance to fix amity and get global communications back up safely. From there, Ironwood could deliver a message to the world about Salem. Since people know who he is, it will make the message more impactful. Just like he did with his message to Mantle.
Qrow and Winter are positives in his life. They keep trying to ground him and bring him back to reality, but he will not deactivate his semblance. He is too scared of what’s to come with Salem. They support him in this, and do not turn their back on him.
Winter receives the maiden’s power, and is told to open the vault to obtain the staff and raise atlas further into the sky to save his people. Winter agrees, why wouldn’t she? They have already evacuated most of mantle to atlas anyway. In situations like this it’s impossible to save everyone. RWBY could whine and bitch if they wanted to, but there is nothing they could do in this situation because, for the sake of this rewrite, they wouldn’t be as stupid as they are in the canon proper.
The vault is open and the staff is vulnerable. It is in this moment that the ACTUAL VILLIAN comes into play. Watts took advantage of the security from behind the scenes, giving Salem the exact time that the vault was open. And thanks to him overhearing everything, he knows that all she needs to do is use the staff, and Atlas will fall. Salem appears in the room, and the big finale battle would occur. They weren’t ready yet. They hadn’t finalized the plan to stop her without killing her. Team RWBY Oscar and Qrow would do their best to keep Salem distracted while Winter and Ironwood speak to the staff. Meanwhile, Neo could breach Ironwood’s office and retrieve the relic of knowledge for Salem.
The battle plays out, she keeps coming back, the team gets tired, Salem loses her patience and just PLOWS through them to get to the staff. She enters the realm and the mystical world around them begins to shatter and break. With that much concentrated evil in this place coming up out of nowhere, it would be sure to shift the balance.
She goes head to head against Winter and Ironwood for the staff. She knows that using the staff will cause Atlas to come crashing down, so that is exactly what she does. Since he is already out, she just gives him a command. It doesn’t matter what it is. Atlas starts to fall. She strikes a lethal blow to Ironwood (Keeping the theme of her killing headmasters) and flees with the staff. Qrow runs to his side, he and winter are crying, Team RWBY is upset, OZPIN IS UPSET. With his aura broken and his semblance down, he smiles at them all, says that he is proud of them for their work and he knows that they will find a way to defeat her. He tells them to get out and save themselves, save as many people as they can. They do that, but for further angst, Qrow stays with him, holding him and crying against him as Atlas falls. Team RWBY use the gravity dust keeping Atlas falling slowly to their advantage. They get as many people as they can into airships and send them to mistral. They then make their own way to Vacuo... Since global communications are back up, the world would know about this. This would give Shade academy a good chance to prepare. (damn I could write a fic)
What I think of Ironwood’s allusion and what I would change.
It’s dumb the way that CRWBY has portrayed it. In the story of the Wizard of Oz, the tin man doesn’t have a heart, but learns to love overtime. I used THIS aspect for helping my rewrite of Ironwood. He was hardened at the beginning, but managed to trust again and eventually smiled and said that he was proud of team RWBY and friends in his dying moments. It’s just more impactful that way I think.

RWBY V08E05 - Amity
Amity! A return to the adventures of RWB? With no Penny sadly. I doubt we'll get so many visual puns again but who knows, maybe they'll make friends with Whitley or at least have a cordial chat with him without killing each other. I have no idea, so let's do this!
Wow, great start. Poor Pietro, got copypasted there with no regard for his feelings.
I'm very glad I was wrong about no Penny.. Even if every second she's on screen increases the chances of something bad happening to her.
Why does the HUD look like someone used the wand from photoshop to extract it from a white background?
Wait, are they going to blow up the Dust to launch amity into space?
Penny is right, that doesn't seem like a good idea but it's also incredibly in-character for the show. Now even caves are a gun.
Someone at Rooster Teeth really likes the idea of little old ladies riding huge robots, and honestly? Can't disagree.

Maria continues to be the voice of wisdom. Sadly, I doubt Pietro is going to listen to her.
In the original tale Pinocchio ends up learning by making bad choice after bad choice. Penny doesn't seem to have that much in common with her inspiration but if she hasn't ever been able to make a choice at all, would it be surprising if the first time she makes a choice it ends up being a bad one? It wouldn't surprise me if this is setting her up to fly away from Amity (against Pietro's wishes) once she notices something went wrong with everyone else (making her vulnerable)

At least Cinder seems to know her place with Salem, but I can't tell if she started like Emerald and got her love beaten down or if she just had different priorities after getting saved from what seemed similar circumstances.

Even after all that fight, I think this is the best animation of the episode so far. It conveys so much resignation and annoyance.
I think this is the first time this season RWBY makes me teary-eyed. She finally said it!

Hopefully, if Watts escapes and tries to get everyone else to help (since I doubt he can beat all the guards on his own), Qrow shows he learned his lesson about trusting the enemy.

Okay, this is an amazing reveal. Is Salem transforming Mantle into another land of darkness? Because that'd definitely explain why she was so unworried about the broadcast.
What a way to end the episode. A brief moment of hope completely destroyed, twice.
Penny has been raising so many death flags that her inevitable hacking lacked some impact. I'm still sad (and annoyed at RT for poor Penny being a magnet for suffering) but Watts being Watts maybe he did a bad job just to prevent Atlas to escape? And Penny seemed able to resist? aaaah, I don't know. Now that the hacking finally happened all the foreshadowing is over, anything could happen.
The worst part of the hack is that it modified Penny's thoughts. It wasn't a complete takeover, like with Pietro, it was a lot more insidious. Literally making true what Cinder told her. Ugh.
Looking back at the screenshots, wow, a lot of the episode was just them fighting, but there were some fun moments, like Maria kicking Neo's ass.
Very curious about where it's going. Both the Penny plot (there's absolutely no way hacked Penny doesn't fight Ruby, there's probably a rule written in the universe about having mind-controlled people fight their loved ones) and the river of Grimm which was an excellent secondary gut punch. Really, loved that reveal. "You thought things were bad? lol"

Okay, here we go.
Sugar Pine 7 is over.
I don’t really know what to say. I had stopped watching them for a while and when I finally came back, when I was finally interested in them again, they announced they were shutting down less than a month later.
It fucking sucks.
Sugar Pine 7 used to be my life. I started watching them just as they go their first office, back in May of 2017. As soon as I watched a video, I knew they were my favourite thing to ever happen and I immediately watched the rest of season 1 in chronological order. I was so invested that I would spend my days thinking about SP7 and playing alternate video ideas in my head. They were a group of entertainment that kept me going and helped me to develop my sense of humour. Whenever something went wrong and I just needed to turn off life for a while, I always went to straight to their videos. They were the one thing that seemed to always put a smile on my face no matter what.
They also got me back into tumblr. My previous tumblr account and fandom experiences hadn’t been great. The one before SP7 was full of toxic, judgemental, cliquey people and it felt as though if you didn’t have a group of online friends in it, then you didn’t really matter. It sucked and it scared me off of the app completely. When I made an SP7 tumblr though, I found a small group of people who were creative and open and welcoming and allowed me to be invested. I got involved. I made gifs, edits, theories and memes. I answered questions, posted a daily/weekly theory question for people to talk about and genuinely tried my best to make my blog and this fandom feel like a collaborative community. It was a lot of work, but that year and a bit of having my blog as place where people liked to come to talk and laugh was amazing and I don’t think I’ll ever get to experience something quite like that again.
I remember falling out of love with SP7, and feeling guilty for it. I wish I could like them just as much as I had in the beginning and I think the hardest part of it all was that unlike other fandoms where your personality changes and you grow out of them, it felt like SP7 grew out of me, and my personality still hadn’t changed enough to follow. It sucked and hurt and it was hard to come to terms with the boys doing things that I didn’t like or care for, and my dedication to this blog seemed to dwindle as well. I don’t think I ever really got over getting bored of SP7 to be honest, I’ve always kind of felt like I abandoned them. I can’t even watch their old videos without feeling a sense of nostalgia and shame, and I don’t really know why that is. I’m guessing it’s because part of me feels as though I let them down, and I’m not sure if I actually did.
And now they’re gone, and it feels like an ending which is just bitter with no sweet. I loved these boys. I really did. And I don’t think I’m going to ever be able to aptly put into words how much they meant to me and how grateful I am for every video they ever made. There wasn’t a day that went by that they didn’t make me laugh or cry right up until the end of my interest. I was already watching AH, but they were the extra push I needed to get into RT and because of that, I’ve made friends online that I love talking to and another community that I may not be as involved in, but enjoy nonetheless.
So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you boys for what you created and for what you achieved. It is something that you should always be proud of and that I will always be proud of on behalf of Sugar Pine 7. You really did good.
And finally, to all the gimps and cucks and dirty boys of the Sugar Pine 7 fandom who EVER liked, reblogged, commented, asked, submitted, followed, or even LOOKED at my posts and blogs at some point and went ‘hey, that’s pretty cool’ thank you. Thank you so so much. You’ve made my tumblr experience fantastic and have helped in creating a dying and now dead community something that I will always cherish and appreciate, even after SP7 is long forgotten. Your interactions made me laugh and smile and cry tears of joy and my heart swelled every time somebody said they appreciated this blog or me. Comments like that made my day, and they always will.
If you would ever like to talk to me about anything, please do. I would love to keep in touch with anybody from this fandom, even if haven’t talked before.
This post is too long and I’ve rambled too much so I’m gonna leave it here.

Summary: The whole student body and teachers teases the gym teacher, Watanabe You, with the new art teacher, Sakurauchi Riko, that they make a cute couple. How long can You deny this when Riko isn’t helping to reduce the rumours?

Tease04 – You-sensei and Riko-sensei Love-Love Photo Album
If the saying “it’s a small world” is true and so often used for people who happen onto each other in various shopping centres, parks or even across countries. That saying is even truer when it comes to You bumping into Riko throughout the school and having more than a few occasions to interact with the new art teacher.
You certainly doesn’t mind. And the school is even more excited about this fact.
Riko takes hurried steps towards the teacher’s office. Her heels click-clacking against the floors of the school as she worries about not making it to her desk before the clock hits 7.30am.
Rounding a bend, the auburn-haired art teacher slips and lets out a short scream, her heart leapt up to her throat and she was expecting the pain of falling on her butt and worse-case scenario of spraining her ankle. But after keeping her eyes closed for about five seconds and nothing came, she slowly opened them.
Her knight in shining armour smiles down at her. Riko pushes her brain’s maiden-like thoughts away with a slight blush. The kind and fit gym teacher who also happened to be in-charged of her well-being in school has caught Riko’s outstretched hand before Riko could slip any further closer to the ground.
You gives Riko a warm smile, perfect for making mornings 200% better. Riko smiles nervously. “T-Thank you, You-sensei… I would be sitting on the floor if not for you.”
You chuckles and shakes her head. “Glad to be of help. I believe your chair inside prefers your butt to be sitting on them than on the floor.”
Riko stares at You with a tint of pink covering her cheeks. “My butt…huh.” Riko tilts her head to the side in a considering manner.
You pulls Riko upright without warning and her free hands lifts to cover her embarrassed face. “I-I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to say butt. I mean I did. But..I didn’t mean to seem so crude…In front of you…Er…”
Gods, why do I always mess up in front of Riko-sensei?
Riko giggles softly into her free hand as she left the hand that You caught to still be in hers; it felt so warm there after all. “I like your straightforwardness, You-sensei. So don’t worry about it.”
You looks at Riko before lowering her head.
Riko-sensei is too kind...
One of the early to school newspaper club student snaps shots of You catching Riko and still holding onto Riko’s hand after. She checks the saved image in her camera with a grin and only left when Riko and You went on their way.
“And…finishing dunk.” The sparkling with sweat and equipped with a shining smile gym teacher kicks off the ground and easily plunges the basketball into the hoop before landing back down with a twist.
Nailed it!
Her students cheered loudly while the other half of the class that had to go up against her booed in a slightly dejected manner.
“You-sensei, that’s amazing!”
“Ahh, there’s no way we can win You-sensei…”
You laughs loudly as she ruffles the head of her surrounding students; not minding the sweat and even accepting some of their elbow jabs. “Hey, hey. You girls are getting better. And I did take some of the basketball girls on my team.”
Totally unplanned when I jacked the game, but it’s the truth.
You winks and the other team groans again.
“How did you do that dunk? It was so cool!” A student asked with starry eyes and hands in a prayer manner.
The gym teacher looks to her student who wasn’t very tall for dunking and back to the hoop; her smile never wavering. “With practice and believe.”
As every main character will tell you.
You raises her right hand which catches the basketball a student throws to her immediately when they noticed the flow of conversation. You nods to her student to watch her closely and she begins dribbling the basketball towards the hoop, and when she feels the momentum is right – a jump and smoothly dunks once again.
The student claps vigorously. “…But I still don’t get it?”
“What did I just do?” You prompts and points to her slow dribbling.
“Dribble the ball.” The student answers.
“What am I doing now?” You begins a half jog.
“Um…Running with the ball.”
You smiles and nods. “Find your pace and let your palm feel the ball.” You holds the ball in both hands. “Now what am I doing?”
“…Holding…the ball?” The student asks.
“Essentially. And gauging how firmly I am holding the ball. Before I stare down the hoop. And~” You throws the ball at the angle she felt just right, and in the next two seconds, the beautiful sound of the basketball swooping through the hoop and net was heard. Every student stood in awe.
Oh man…This attention…
“It’s all about practice.” You chuckles abashedly at the silent attention. She liked being a gym teacher because of the always on the move and energy, so this much attention made her nervous.
The student who asked about how to dunk nods enthusiastically. “I will!”
Ah, I love earnest to learn kids~
You gives her a thumbs up and a wide smile. “Great. Now I think we’ve got enough time for another mini-game-”
“You-sensei~!” You turns to see the Head of Art jogging towards her; which is really a feat as the tall blonde always wore a striking black office skirt that hugged her black stockings covered thighs tightly, coupled with those 2inch black stiletto heels to further add to her height and sexy aura.
How is she even walking in those?
You walks towards the Head of Art so that the blonde teacher does not have to risk tripping with every step she takes. All while keeping an eye on those heels. You has never worn heels in her life. Or at least she did twice and never wanted to do so on a daily basis like some of the other teachers do.
“Ohara-sensei. What’s up? And do be careful in those killer shoes.” The ash-brunette dodged a swipe at her with a cheeky smile.
“They are only killer if you’re referring to how they make me the sexiest teacher in Uranohoshi, You-sensei~” The Head of Art winks.
“I’m always amazed that you can walk in those for eight hours. And even jog.” You shakes her head.
The angle totally makes your ankle hurt. Sneakers are best.
Ohara-sensei grins. “But you do find them sexy, don’t you~?”
You rolls her eyes at the Head of Art stretching out her legs to pose for You. You clears her throat and turns back to her class. “No ogling. And start another game on your own!”
The class hurriedly grab some basketballs and talked to themselves for being caught staring. Everyone loves Watanabe-sensei for being the easiest to talk to and share their fun and worries with. But everyone loves Ohara-sensei for her humour and sexiness, that’s for certain.
“Aww~ How sweet of you, You-sensei~ Do you do that for Riko-sensei too?” The Head of Art winks at You again.
Sweet- What?
You finds heat creeping at her cheeks at the image of her being protective for Riko. “N-No? She doesn’t dress like you do, Ma- Ohara-sensei.” You squints with a pout.
The Head of Art laughs unabashedly. “That’s what you think, dearie. I would tease you more, but we don’t have a good enough audience.”
“Mari- Ohara-sensei!” You protests.
Why does Mari-sensei like to tease me so much!?
Mari places a hand on You’s shoulder while grinning at the shorter teacher’s red face - adorable. “I need you to do me a favour.”
“Well..that’s why you’re here, no?” You grumbles childishly.
Mari nods. “I’ve got a meeting to go to right now. So if you could, I’d love if you help tell Riko that she classes are cancelled on Tuesday. She’ll have other things instructed to do for that day.”
You nods. “Sure. Sounds simple.”
Mari chuckles. “Well, it’s not like I asked you to pick flowers fitting for the teacher you’re crushing on – so yes, it’s simple.”
“Crush- What are you even saying now, Mari-sensei! I don’t have a crush on Riko-sensei.” You turns away from Mari with an indignant pout.
Mari waggles her eyebrows at You. “I didn’t mention anything about Riko, did I~?”
Eh? Mari-sensei didn’t..?
You’s ears turned red too as she realized Mari really did not mention Riko as the teacher You may have a crush on yet the gym teacher jumped to conclusions. “But you insinuated-”
“Mm~” Mari wore a cat-like grin so high You couldn’t do anything.
“Ugh, just go to your meeting, Ohara-sensei. I’ll let Riko-sensei know about cancelled classes.”
Mari laughs. “Remember it’s Tuesday~” And with that, the blonde that arrived like a hurricane goes on her way like a hurricane too.
You returns to her class and instructs two students to take charge on packing and putting back the basketballs in the storage room, and to head back to class properly when done.
The gym teacher takes large strides over to Riko’s class so that she can catch the art teacher before she leaves the art room. Upon reaching, You leans her left shoulder coolly against the door to the art room and puts a finger to her mouth so the students won’t start making noises.
So this is how Riko-sensei teaches huh… It’s not that much different from any other teacher I guess.
You chuckles in her mind at thinking that Riko might have the class turn into a serene garden for art class or something otherworldly for art inspirations. You chucked it up to her sports filled mind’s misconception and knocks on the door twice to catch the art teacher’s attention.
Riko jumps very slightly but You notices so she grins and waves when Riko looks over surprised. “You-sensei?”
“Good morning again, Riko-sensei~”
She sure had her focus on the canvas to be surprised by a light knock on the door. She must really love art.
“Good morning…again. You-sensei.” Riko smiles and walks over. “What brings you here?”
You moves to stand up straight and wipe a stray sweat trickling down the side of her cheek. “Ohara-sensei sent me to pass you a message.”
“Oh. It must be very important for you to come running here then.” Riko reaches in her pocket and offers her handkerchief so that the gym teacher can wipe her sweat.
“Ah, er. It’s okay. I just ended a gym class where we played basketball. Thus the sweat. I don’t want to dirty your handkerchief, don’t worry about it, Riko-sensei.” You rambles on with her hands up to reject gratefully.
Riko nods and keeps her handkerchief slowly back into her pocket. You’s blue eyes watched it go with a hint of regret.
Riko-sensei’s pink floral patterned handkerchief…fits her image and is probably soft like Riko-sensei’s hands… Wai- what am I thinking!
You lifts her head to look away from Riko’s pocket and make proper eye contact. Seeing Riko waiting patiently made her feel relieved. “So.”
Riko nods. “Mm-hm?”
“Ohara-sensei wants me to tell you that Tuesday’s classes will be cancelled… Just to let you know.” You smiles and gives herself a pat on the back internally for completing her mission.
Riko nods again, walks back to take her phone and back to You. “Thank you for all the time, You-sensei.”
Murmurs within the class starts to occur at the information the art teacher just shared. Students turned to talk about how Riko-sensei is always helped by You-sensei and how cute their relationship is.
You peeks at Riko’s phone screen, noticing that Riko has a really neat planner opened and have written in notes that classes are cancelled on the coming Tuesday.
Riko-sensei is so organized…Such a contrast with me…
You places a hand on the back of her neck. “No problem. I’m your official caretaker in the school after all!” You chuckles at the title.
Riko giggles at the title too. “I’m glad to have you as my caretaker.”
You smiles widely, and she feels her spirits more light and jolly just from Riko saying she’s glad to have her.
Riko-sensei is really such a sweet person.
While You and Riko are conversing, some students have taken out their handphones or cameras to take pictures of their two favourite teacher couple. Whispering to one another that You-sensei and Riko-sensei are literally the cutest couple in school and this scene in front of them is proof of that.
At the end of the school day, in the newspaper club room, students of the club and various students through the school were inside sharing snapshots they captured throughout the day to share in the “Love-Love Photo Album”. Meaning to say, they choose selected ones to be blown up and kept as a hardcopy version, a promotional picture on the school’s notice board, and the others into the softcopy album.
“Ahh, every time You-sensei holds Riko-sensei’s hand I feel like I’m going to melt!” A student gushes as she looks through the collection.
“You’re not the only one! Looks at how their hands fit so well in each other’s!”
“C’mon, girls~ It’s not just the hands you should be looking at.” A confident voice sounds at the door before it closes.
“Ohara-sensei!” The students greets.
The Head of Art wears a Cheshire grin and waves to her students before approaching the table and pointing at You-sensei’s face. “You-sensei’s blush is our one hundred and one percent definite proof of their love~”
Students nod eagerly and squealed at the focus on their charming gym teacher’s blushing expression.
“And Riko-sensei’s own set of blush! She’s hiding her affections but it’s so clear to us! Am I right or am I right, girls~?” Ohara-sensei stands up straight and the loud clack of her stiletto heel commanded attention.
The students cheered and clapped. “Yes~! Riko-sensei is in love with You-sensei!”
The Head of Art laughs happily that she’s opening the eyes of the students to notice the little details of the budding love between You and Riko. She’s going home to squeal at each image in the YouRiko Love-Love Photo Album later while she concocts a new plan for teasing You and Riko.

The Tea Times - August 2019
A rather chaotic month full of mortgage applications and talks with solicitors has passed me by without me really noticing its existence. We’re almost three quarters of the way through the year? What? My chaotic life aside, it doesn’t actually look like I’ve missed too much, presumably because we’re in the run up to Christmas. As usual, we have a few scandals to touch on though.
At a Glance
World of Warcraft: Classic released. Blair Witch to be released..
System Shock 2 Enhanced Edition, Mario Kart Tour, Orcs Must Die 3 and Yakuza Remastered announced.
Dead by Daylight is getting a Stranger Things tie in.
Hades comes to Steam Early Access in December.
Borderlands 3 will not be able to pre-load.
Age of Empires 4 gameplay to be revealed in November.
Telltale Games has been picked up.
The Releases
World of Warcraft: Classic came to the screens of the Blizzard obsessed on the 27th August. I’ve not really played World of Warcraft, to be honest with you. It’s one of those games I’ve had a constant passing interest in but never had the cash to explore. I was quite into Warcraft 3, and the original Orcs & Humans, so it kinda made sense. Ah well. Now though, the chance calls to explore what it could have been like. I mean, I probably won’t, but hey the choice is there.
Blair Witch, Bloober Team’s latest scare ‘em up, is set to be released tomorrow, the 30th April. It’s something I will inevitably pick up in time, though I’m still a little burned from Layers of Fear 2. There are competent people over at Bloober Team, but they’ve not really shone as yet. I’m not sure if the Blair Witch Project, or the weak remake, is going to be the foundation for their big break however.
The Announcements
There are quite a few of those, so let’s start with a fairly brief one. System Shock 2, a game that laid the foundations for a lot of modern sci-fi horror, is getting a remake. I played for about an hour of the original and enjoyed my time with it. The prospect of playing it without all the warts is very appealing. Too soon for any date or anything and it’s all done through a tweet, so best have some salt handy.
Mario Kart Tour is to be the latest entry into the series, presumably. I use ‘presumably’ because it’s a mobile game, something that I was not expecting and honestly I’m not sure who asked for that. Okay, yeah, portability but trying to control anything with a touch screen is a pain in the arse. That aside it looks fantastic, so if your phone has a good bit of grunt behind it, might be worth checking out. It releases on September 25th.
Orcs Must Die 3 came swinging out of left field, the latest entry in a series that pretty much dropped off the map. It’s a blend of tower defence and action game, where you get stuck into combat when your traps don’t do the trick. It was a pretty neat blend, to be honest, and it was one of the first in my memory to do it, along with Sanctum. It’s to be a timed exclusive on Stadia, of all things, which may well end up being it’s death knell.
If you’ve read my writing this year, you’ll know I’m excited for Yakuza Remastered, a remake of Yakuza 3 through 5. It won’t be quite as involved as Kiwami 1 and 2, as the graphics from 3 up aren’t quite as rough. For the moment, it’s just on PlayStation 4 but I’m sincerely hoping they come to PC soon. Yakuza 3 is out already, with 4 coming out later this year and 5 next year. It’s a good time for musclemen.
Death by Strange Things
In a fairly unexpected (though in hindsight not that unexpected) move, Dead by Daylight is getting a Stranger Things DLC. Complete with series characters Nancy and the man with the great hair, Steve Harrington. Up against them is the Demogorgon from the first series, with its mouth flapping about as always. The survivors get unique perks as well, with one of Steve’s giving bonuses to people you pull off a hook. He remains a soft boy, I love him.
I put this in a separate category just to highlight how many different franchises are being thrown into this game. We’ve got every horror villain you could think of. While you could argue that they’ve essentially sold out, I’ll be damned if it doesn’t make the most of its slasher film vibe.
Go To Hell
I don’t like to speak ill of Supergiant Games, given that they’ve created three games that are dear to my heart, but oh dear. Hades was one of the first to go through the Epic exclusivity mangle and, as a result, I’ve not played it and reviewed it. I’m sure it’s great, and it does sound up my street, but the exclusivity turned me away. Now, however, it’s coming to Steam.
They’ve rather put another bullet in the foot, though. It’s coming to Steam Early Access on December 10th. I had thought, however, that Epic was going to essentially going to be Early Access. Apparently not and that strikes me as a bit of a worry.
Late Entry to the Borderlands
In a move that is definitely not that surprising, the Epic Games Store does not support pre-loading and won’t by the time that Borderlands 3 releases. That means if you’ve pre-ordered it then you, and everyone else, will have to download it when it’s released. You can expect server crashes, terrible download speed and general frustration. Not great when you’ve got such a high powered release on the cards.
The lack of features on the Epic Games Store is becoming almost laughable now. This, however, is one of the few that’s going to actively hurt your game. The launch period is a crucial one, as that’s where the big sales and feedback comes from. You want that to go well. Epic don’t, apparently.
An Age for an Age
Back in 2017, Relic announced Age of Empires 4, the next in a series that had been teased for a while before that. Relic seemed like a decent choice, having strong RTS games under their belt like Dawn of War and Company of Heroes. They were under THQ, which obviously folded, and then went to Sega. Why exactly it’s taken over two years is unknown though it hopefully goes to show the level of care and quality going into it.
Gameplay for Age of Empires 4 will be shown at X019 in London this November, so I’m assuming we’ll get more details then. I’ll reserve all judgement until that time.
The Retelling
In a pleasant, and not entirely unexpected move, Telltale Games, the creators of The Walking Dead series, The Wolf Among Us and so on and so forth, have been picked up after closing not too long ago. The company that picked them up is called LCG Entertainment. I’ve not heard of them either. They are saying the right things however, as they point towards a gap in the market for strictly narrative focused games. For all its creaky engine stuff, Telltale could tell a good tale.
They’ve also hinted towards owning the rights for The Wolf Among Us, which sparks a cruel, terrible hope in my chest again. As for the nitty-gritty stuff, it looks like they’re interested in keeping the episodic format. They’re also reaching out to old Telltale developers, though they frame it as a freelance job with potential to become full-time. Which is employer speak for ‘don’t expect any preferential treatment’. Either way, this is a great bit of news.

RWBY V07E07 - Worst Case Scenario
It has been two weeks since I last watched RWBY so let me try and remember what happened. There was a party, some flirting, a kiss... and that's it, right? Nothing bad happened, right? Right?
* sigh *
I assume someone is going to drop the title referring to the fallout after what happened last episode. I expect riots and Grimm, and maybe Robyn trying to commandeer the resources destined for the future Amity Tower (which is probably the only thing Ironwood _really_ cares about since he has been all "it's worth the sacrifice" the entire season so far.) I don't want to keep waiting so let's do this!
Oh no, sad Penny. What an auspicious start for the episode.
This is her dad, right? Those robot pats straddle the line between dorky and sad. I doubt the military wants Penny in the streets so I guess this is the only way he can be with her. Ugh. My heart.
Look at this crime against humanity. RT will answer for this someday!
Oh, one of the thirsty moms survived! The one with the casserole!
She's _terrified_, and with good reason. From her point of view, her own government killed her friends for daring to believe. What if she's next? Is Atlas going to start hunting everyone who supported Robyn? What about the people close to them?
We know that's not going to happen but she (and the rest of Mantle) is in all her right to believe it will

It's interesting how the scene that was, at the time, only a gag showing Jaune's bad luck and some cute kids with their moms, ended up being setup to show us how quick everything changed. Now their moms are dead and they are orphans, alone and in the cold.
Of course, this only furthers my belief that nothing good can be trusted in RWBY because it'll only be used to increase our suffering.
I'm going to _pissed_ if this happens. Stop killing Penny for god's sake.

Was Ozpin an "end justifies the means" man? I think he wasn't really, or at least he didn't consider himself one, but he had spent so much time alive he lost sight of what he was doing and asking people to do for him really meant.
In comparison Ironwood knows exactly what's going on. He believes he's doing the right thing by prioritizing the tower over his people. And maybe he's right from a global point of view? But the fact that the human lives that are going to be lost are the ones that were _already_ suffering is a supremely bad look. What's going to be left of Mantle after he saves the world?
You tell him, Nora!
Nothing good ever comes when someone says "the greater good."
Ilia said exactly the same thing back in Volume 5, almost word for word. I wonder if the callback is intentional or if there's just not that many ways to use that concept as an excuse.
I _really_ thought she was going to say "exchanging Salem for you."
I love how Nora is the one speaking up but I hate that no one is supporting her. Winter looks completely unimpressed back there but I didn't expect much from her or Clover but what about the rest?

I _love_ that they are all right, or rather, their opinions are all understandable. I can see where both Yang and Blake are coming from and there's no way to say "ah, the show is doing everything it can to show that Yang is wrong."
Which keeps increasing my worry about how they are going to handle the end of the arc because so far the show has been very even handed but any ending where the long term sacrifice and oppression of Mantle ends up being justified is going to be... well, bad. It doesn't help that the "oppression" hasn't been really visible so it could be reaally easy to just sweep it under the carpet and just say something about "things are going to be better from now on" or even "they weren't that bad to begin with"
Anyway, this is me getting worried about things that may not even happen so I won't keep talking about it. Let me say instead how happy I am that they are still dealing with what happened with Adam and of course that would color Blake's views of what she wants to do in the future.
And is that treason I'm hearing here? I expected a team up with Robyn but I didn't expect it to come from these two. Interesting. Is Yang going to spill the beans to her about the tower and Salem?

I _really_ didn't expect this to be the answer for Penny's soul. I was in the "there's no artificial soul" camp but I expected something like Pietro transferring someone else's soul or a lost daughter, not him literally giving her part of his soul.
What does this mean for Penny? Does the part of the soul Pietro gives her grow like a plant from a cutting or everything she uses her semblance or is hurt she loses a bit more of it? It has to grow, right?
It's good to see an explanation for Pietro's death flags. Is he going to die saving Penny one last time? Jaune is learning how to manipulate his aura outwards...

So, is this personal for Watts? Did Ironwood choosing Penny mean the end of his career? Did he try to do whatever he planned anyway and got fired?

Also, props to the show for making everyone react somewhat realistically. Of course, Robyn was going to run the second she saw Ironwood's new pets.
Is Ironwood intentionally using RWBY and the rest to keep suspicions down? "They are all young and attractive, some even look innocent, there's no way they are doing anything _bad_, right?" But again, that would mean Ironwood is playing 4D chess and I'm not sure that's his deal.

Atlas is 100% going to crash into the ground. I think everyone already suspected it'd happen but this is a gigantic death flag.
Ironwood is sliding down as fast as he can down the slippery slope of the greater good. He didn't want Ozpin's opinion, he wanted Ozpin to tell him he was right.
It feels so bad to take away from Oscar's growth but I wonder if they are already merging.

That was a great episode to return to. Somehow RWBY is managing to handle all the balls it had in the air earlier in the season and hasn't dropped one yet.
I was expecting that the episode would start with Yang and Blake or Weiss and company but nope, just sadness and tragedy. Followed by more consequences, in the form of Robyn and her happy huntresses finally doing what they probably wanted to do from the start. If the "legal" way didn't work, well, time to do it anyway. That does leave me with some questions about how long was the timeskip between episodes, it can't be that same night, especially with the news showing things like "additional deaths confirmed." Maybe same week but at least a couple of days later?
Ironwood needs someone to shake him by the shoulders. Some of the things he's saying wouldn't be out of place in any villain's origin story, especially the part about wanting to get rid of his fear. I hope Jacques being the awful man he is shows him what waits for him in the other side.
Pietro's reveal about Penny's soul really feels like the biggest of his death flags so far. Him dying trying to make Penny live again really feels like end-of-season drama, considering there's no Pyrrha to kill again and apparently RT really likes killing Penny. Jaune _just_ learning about the possibilities of his semblance feels weirdly suspicious now that we know about Penny's aura but... it's a bit too out there since I think they have never talked. Or maybe it's all a misdirect and someone else ends up dying with RT winking at us saying "you really though it'd be Penny, huh?" At this point I'm not sure what'd be worst.
I liked everything about Yang and Blake's talk in the truck. I'm not a big fan of Yang's main trait lately being "dislikes secrets" (the secondary being "likes Blake") but I'm not sure if overcoming that is just her next step in her growth or if that's all there's going to be.
Their chat with Robyn was great, I can't wait for the repercussions of telling the leader of the resistance the biggest secret Atlas has. With Ironwood being who he is, it could be _bad_ for the couple which could push everyone else in one direction or the other, and not necessarily the _same_ direction, as we already saw with Ren who's officially canceled because for some reason he's going all fash (I _really_ need an explanation before the season ends)
