Hassel
Before he goes to work today he kisses you on the cheek; you are just cleaning the kitchen when you see his box lunch on the counter that he forgot to take with him, the school is quite a ways away, but you'd be damned if you'd let beloved go hungry, and not eating the food you carefully cooked and prepared for him.
His eyes light up the moment he sees you, Hassel is always happy to see you. but he has to ask, why did you come visit him at work today? You tell him that he's forgotten something and his eyes widen when you said his lunch on his desk.
Your poor husband is on the verge of tears because he's so lucky to have someone like you. You're so caring and thoughtful, part of him wants you to stay with him for lunch, but he knows that you might be busy with something else.
He says he missed you even though he's only been gone for a few hours, when he gives you a hug and a kiss. he asks if you need a ride home. but it was his students that got you to stay, asking you if they could draw your Pokemon partner; when the students begged Clavell, he relented. Hassel almost cried. He needed to thank his students later.
Rika
Work was really killing her today spinning on her chair with her pencil under her nose trying to ignore the grumbling in her stomach. She looked as happy as a puppy when she saw you. she asks What brings you here?
She is absolutely relieved when she sees you put the lunch down on her desk. " you're a life saver!" she explains, kissing you on the cheek. You chuckle, kissing her forehead when you turn to leave; she grabs your arm. Giving you puppy dog eyes as she begs you to stay. How could you ever say no?
Rika tries to feed you her own lunch "babe, say 'ah' !" when you protest, she pouts, " but you made it for me. You deserve to have a little taste.... unless you want my lips instead?" putting the piece of food down and wrapping her arms around your waist puckering her lips.
Geeta I had to send you home because you were distracting. Geeta was very kind thinking you for your kindness and asking if you would like a ride home. Rika's heartbroken.
Larry
He usually works right through his lunch breaks, it was you who started providing him lunch that he quit the habit. now your food is something he looks forward to everyday. is already too late when he realized he'd forgotten the lunch you made for him he was already at his office... Oh well he'll just stop by at the Eatery after work...
He was so focused on work he didn't notice you come behind him. You decided to let him work and slowly set it down next to him. by the time he notices you are already gone, but you left a cute note telling him to have a good lunch and you love him.
Larry couldn't help but smile, his heart fluttering in his chest... how he's so lucky to have somebody, he does not mess the days that he would eat alone or work without empty stomach.
After finishing, he calls you, informing you that he saw the note and thanks you again. Then asks if you want to go to the Treasure Eatery for a bit of a date after work as a thank you. You ask him why, and he says, " No particular reason, just felt appreciative of you; I want to treat you." You couldn't hide the smile in your voice. The Treasure Eatery workers absolutely adore you for caring for their tired businessman.

I remember watching Pokemon XYZ series when I was younger (probably the closest thing to anime I've ever watched) I used to be a hardcore fan back then, used to watch many gameplays theories stuff and all...-
Pokemon were like,,, my only interest back then? Damn I used to be crazy about those creatures, still remember how whenever I was playing a Pokemon game my team was almost exclusively flying types (birds! I love them!) and an Eevee (later one of the eeveelutions, probably vaporeon)
I don't recall watching your animatic in the past but it feels very familiar to me like some kind of deja vu so it's possible I've actually seen it before! And I must say it has a very nostalgic feel to it! I can see how much you've improved since then but the animatic still is very cool! I love it <3

I used to watch drawfee all the time but I ended up stopping for a few years (life stuff happened and I kinda forgot about them? Idk), I started watching again but now I feel like I have so much to catch up on and there's so many memes/jokes I don't know. Is there a sort of "best of" list I could find to help me catch up again? :')

Ep 46 Pt 1: Zorc’s Massive Low Hanging Fruit
We are getting very close! I don’t actually...remember how many episodes there were in this season but listen, It can’t possibly be more than 50 right?
Right?
Anyway, we’re starting off in the battle basement in Yami’s tomb. Who, of course has a battle basement installed right outside of his final resting place, just like how he would have wanted.
And it’s here that the form of Bakura that the dub is telling me is Ryou wants to kill his own classmate. Which, I’ll just point it out since a couple people mentioned it, apparently the manga did not do this nor did the original Japanese version. The dub just made this Ryou for giggles. We already know Bakura can split into evil pieces, this was not necessary. We also know that Ryou is sleeping on those painful steppies, so this doesn’t make much logical sense.
But like we’re watching the dub right now, so sorry, everybody, this is Ryou. Ryou on a bad day, I guess. Dark Ryou. Not to be confused with Shadow Ryou, who is...that other freaking guy.
Yugi just upset that he forgot to bring his dueling disk to a dream universe in the past or whatever. Must feel naked without that thing stinking up his left arm and making that school blazer all wrinkly. Bro is telling me that Yugi should have one really big arm, kind of like trogdor.

the one thing that does make sense with making this Ryou is a little bit of symbolic imagery. Ryou talks about how he doesn’t have friends anymore in the beginning of this arc, and we can assume it’s because he’s decided to step away from other people because of the ghost in his bean. In contrast, Yugi has all these friends he cursed to like him (woops), and for whom he just risked his whole life for, and for whom he didn’t learn the Pharaoh’s name that he needed in order to save all of mankind.
Which, for reals, Tea and Joey are such good buds, that he really did just end the world to save their ass, and that is pretty anime of him.
But Tea gets very nervous over whether or not Yugi was going to perma-die. It would be very awkward if he died, since he’s also the host of this puzzle which is she is currently stuck inside of. Though I’m not 100% on if it’s even possible for him to die here. Little bit of a chicken or the egg situation, which I may have brought up before.
But still, she’s worried about it.
Which is when Joey does a quick head count and go “WAIT WAIT"
(the show does not show us where Tristan is)
Back at Kul Elna, everything is very quickly falling apart. Rocks are falling from the sky, Pharaoh is back at the capital with Seto and the other Seto, and Karim helllllllllllllla died last episode (or 2 episodes ago? I have such bad memory nowadays) so we’re just gonna leave his corpse in the barn and go.

Why bother? Like for reals why bother?
I have so many questions about this random guy and his character design and they will not get answered. Apparently Dark Side of Dimensions dives into it as well as other unresolved issues from this season but like, that’s for another time. We will be watching that later, and at my rate it’ll be like 5 years from now but I swear...unless I caught covid a second (third?) time we will eventually get there and find out the deal of this...this freakin guy.
Meanwhile, our story boarders are not finished flexing. I think they really enjoyed this particular episode, with this really fun composition around Bakura here. They LOVE to shred scenery with Bakura on this carving, and there are so many good shots where it’s like a comic cover. I mean, look at this:
Damn that’s a good idea. This composition is fun. You got the curves from this...pokemon that I forgot the name of... you got him dead center all strong and rigid to contrast the curves. You got purple and green clouds. It’s fun. If y’all ever want to do the “draw this anime still but in your style” this is a good still. Good stuff.
And then Bakura peaces off--no idea where, and it doesn’t really matter since we have like so many Bakura’s at this point. Lets just assume he’s everywhere.
And with that, the ground gives way to the ZORC within.
This ultimate being, Zorc, who we’ve been talking up for so many episodes.
And that’s when we find out Isis also left out another crucial detail about Zorc:
So listen. We can say that the...neck...of the snake is coming out of his lower stomach. But also, they left it in shadow for a reason.
The reason is, this episode is getting me flagged.
It occurred to me I don’t have to go for the low hanging fruit. I don’t have to. I can find a way around this. And I struggled. And I did whatever I, a full grown adult, could think to do. I thought to myself, I am a creative person, and I am inventive and I can write comedy well enough so it’s not just about poops and butts and dicks.
And then I gave up because of the number of times this thing is dead center on screen. And really, truly, I make a lot of low hanging jokes on this blog anyway so we’re just going to embrace Zorc for who he really is, both inside and outside.
And he is a slowly growing talking dragon shaped penis with legs.
Covered up by my joke towel in this scene I want you to know the snake just had it’s maws wide open to shout them down. It literally does only talk out of the dragon head on the bottom part of him.
Anyway, then Hassan jumps in front of the missiles zorc shoots from his crotch and well...he dies that way.
Death by firecrotch. This is like an immortal God meant to be the protector of the Pharaohs but you can kill him and the way how is disgusting.
There they go, back to the palace, which like, I guess is VERY close to Kul Elna, since Yami and Seto are currently vibing there right now.
Back at fight club, these two are still at it.
and then back at the funeral of the most romantic anime death of all time, Seto is still at it.
Seto, despite probably having to throw just SO MANY funerals for his tragic backstory is not very good at them. So right now he’s just distancing himself emotionally from literally everything going on around him by convincing himself this is all a very vivid hallucination.
Which it is. For once he is correct, this entire arc is a hallucination, but a hallucination with consequences. Which he is not used to. Hell he doesn’t see consequences when he’s not in a hallucination half the time. He’s like super rich.
Yami decides he did what he can, but he’s done with this freakin guy. I guess trying to reach through to Seto is a skill that only Yugi possesses, cuz Yami is just clear out of patience for this sociopath. Which is a shame, he usually loves this sociopath.
I laughed out loud at this cut to this horse’s ass and Seto’s reaction to being left behind from getting a ride the one time he was the one who needed a ride.
LMAO at the dub for adding that suspicious soil clump where a dead girlfriend probably was laying before.
but being real, this is another very nice shot, I didn’t cap it for vibes, and I really should have. Again, if you’re looking for a “draw this in your style” anime still challenge, this is another fun one. You got a juxtaposition of old and new. You got the storytelling of the dead girlfriend and trying to understand feelings you don’t understand because you were taught to never love. You got lovely ancient pillars. You got a clump of dirt that used to be a girl...
Like we may have dragged Seto’s ass back here, just to make him look cool and out of place in that coat as the wind sweeps by him. And that’s fine, I’ll accept that Seto this season may only be here for some vibes.
As he admires her slowly breathing (yes, breathing, thanks dub) he flashes back to that only time he every had a single conversation with this woman (a conversation they had, only because she thought he was someone else)
And off he goes, to look cool and probably do little else.

I made these linocut pieces back in the school year because it's free at my school and a sweetie graphic design teacher organized it (+ needed some hobbies to branch out lolol)
from the oldest to newest:
cirno fumo, first one I did that's why it looks a bit ugly. didn't do my best on the japanese writing too
kogasa tatara, I like her design a lot but I think that was too much for me to try making as my second piece (and sorry for not having a better print of her (-ω-；))
ran yakumo, actually love her a lot!! looks so cool and mystical... the pose kinda silly but lol :3c whatever looks pretty. also adding kanji significantly makes the piece cooler looking trust me (you just have to flip the symbols so it looks fine in the final piece (almost forgor about it with cirno))
kirisame marisa, spent way too much time on this one all the lineart was TOO MUCH WORK to make it look pretty, too many light spots and details phew
big boss catboyfied, started out as just big boss but later I got the urge to give the man cutesy cat ears (funniest shit), thanks komoda for making the hard image even harder (harder because I'm hard rn /j) also his fucking eyepatch is on the wrong eye!! forgot to flip it!! fucking dammit!!!

natural harmonia/N, made him after finishing my playthrough of pokemon black I've been procrastinating on a lot and damn I love this twink so much.... the designers cooked so good when they made him, great guy love him my favorite vegan animal activist, has a bonus zorua and katakana of his name to eliminate negative space (plus makes me look smart) , also some another teacher thought he's a chick, amazing
bonus (cause not really linocut) engineer I made on the last day after making N (teacher found me something to do), made him by placing a piece of paper on a still wet painted linoleum slab and drawing on top of the silly sandwich for the imprint, looks hellish and deep fried. kinda dig it (don't come at me if he looks silly I drew him for the first time with little to no sketch....)

Well, I got halfway through a comm, so there's that. Then I realized it was Whoops All Set Up and I hadn't considered how to write the interactions to lead up to that smut so I took a step back to think it over.
I was asked for fluffy romcom and I'll be damned if I don't deliver it!
But that's a later problem, here's me rambling about ideas for an alternative shine riolu design for Platinum, Fin's service pokemon.
So, I decided against keeping canon colors and mostly the same design cause damnit, I still don't like the yellow.
I'm sure game freak had lovely reasons for the yellow but I hate it.
Away it goes!
And anyway, while I was at it, I figured I'd further tweak the design to highlight how Platinum was specifically picked for Finley. Perhaps as a favor from someone who was really moved by her tragic backstory.
Silver, her original Abra, looked pretty normal aside from a spiky ring on his tail. But that's more because it was pretty early in the days of Designer Breeding more geared towards unique iterations of pokemon. Particularly driven by the growing market for coordinators trying to get a leg up. And as a standard ish support pokemon he didn't need to look outstanding, just more identifiable if something happened.
So I decided towards a slightly artistic inspiration.
A mostly silver/gray coat explains the name easily enough. And I do like the original color pallette so I kept the blue/black. They also look unexpectedly tall and that's partly because I suck at the proportions but idk, maybe Platinum is just unusually tall as well lol
The flourishes make Plat look more rugged and (according to my roommate) dirty lol. But it's meant to be like paint brushes and paint splatter. Had no interest in a rainbow baby or anything too crazy.
The goofy leg/pant bulge looks more like a deliberate attempt to imply shorts, which I appreciate more than trying to figure out wtf canon is doing with that drumstick butt (or frankly dick shaped torso, it's so damn close to being a dick, I can't unseen it and I'm sorry you won't be able to either).
This is without any support pokemon gear. A vest is the obvious choice but when he evolves it'll have to be adjusted cause of the chest spike Lucario has. Maybe I'll just stick to a bandana? Or a belt?
...ah, I forgot to try the button... Well, whatever. I like it as is regardless. It's a little fancy but not too busy? If anything I might get rid of the 'holes' in the dark sections so it's just paint splatter inspired.
Be easier to draw at least lol
Idk if I mentioned earlier but Fin's official job is illustration/painting. Mostly for books and other projects she can consult for and do at home rather than travel. Very much a home body until the start of the fic when she decides she's well enough to handle it. Likes watercolor specifically for painting personal projects such as her old team's books or for friends (when she finally has them). But does oils, acrylics, murals, and mixed mediums as well.
Perhaps Platinum was a 'thank you' gift for a personal mural from a breeder who put Platinum through official support pokemon courses.
Despite being a support pokemon, Platinum is just as happy in a battle as any other riolu. His first duty is just to Fin though. So he would be more likely than most to forfeit a match if his trainer showed too much distress or lash out unexpectedly in times of peril.
This both pairs well with the rest of her destined team and against one specifically who would rather be doing that themselves. But for now I'll leave it at that lol.
Platinum will be her only special/shiny Pokemon. Unlike Edna, she doesn't have any connections or unexpected 'gifts' netting her rare pokemon.

Another example of the ORAS designs for the team admins being so much goddamn better!! GBA Shelly was just An Aqua Grunt With Longer Hair to me, but now? Now?! She's actually a distinct individual! She has Personality! And it Shows! Amazing glow-up! ...that's the proper context for that phrase, right? I, uh, have a history of not exactly being on the pulse of what the common lingo of my peers has been, and also have a tendency to make up my own weird phrases that make no sense to anyone else... XD
Anyway, in my ongoing attempts to fix my way of drawing black people (or characters who can at least be reasonably assumed to be black going by skin tone alone, I know this was still pre-Ryme so we didn't have what I consider to be the culmination of Pokemon's attempts at making black characters look like actual black people beyond just "skin is dark, okay done") so they have more distinctly black features, I tried to make her lips a little bigger, but considering she wears lipstick I couldn't do the tone difference thing quite like I did with Rosemary a couple pics ago. That and gloves again, can't attempt the palm thing yet still. ...yeah I know I didn't do any of this for Rice Pilaf, I legit forgot since I'd colored that well in advance before I started making this effort. I'm fixing that in the future for him tho, don't worry ;3
Also, more talking about this art specifically, check out that background! Or rather, what you can see beyond the subjects, at least. Love how the water came out!! I am so damn proud of it, looks like a proper raging ocean! And fun fact, you'll be seeing that again. Yeah, I figured it was more fitting to draw the Magma and Aqua peeps with a background befitting their themes rather than where you fight them (Aqua peeps in a volcanic background? noooo!), so I'm using the backgrounds from this and the Tabitha pic thrice because I Like Them >:3c

I've been working really hard on all sorts of stuff, and yet somehow it's Thursday and I'm not where I want to be. Please know I am working on:
Seal My Heart with Izupie - our second chapter I'm hoping comes this month. We got a lot done before IzuOcha Week when we (hilariously) thought we would post the whole thing as a oneshot. I know, we're so silly.
Escape Artists - chapter 7 needed a shit ton more editing than I initially realized. The good news is that it's written and I'm making it my first priority.
TheLostDex zine - forgot to mention, but I was accepted as a writer for this zine and I'm so fucking excited to report that I've been assigned 10 fish/marine beta Pokemon to write about in a technical manner (think Animal Crossing Fish Explained, but with Betamon lol). I've been blessed to be working with 10 artists who are great fish people, too. I can't wait to share what we have in store - these artists are incredible.
Swim On Zine - the annual shark zine! I'm going to apply and I'm looking to finally do a portrait of the Salmon shark that has been bouncing around in my head for a few years. This is the perfect outlet.
Downpour - mostly at the thinking stage, but that's actually important, since I decided to cut out a pretty damn large part of it.
Fire and Brimstone - seriously considering running through the rest of it. There are 3 chapters left that encompass the climax of the story, so, I might as well and get it off my plate. But then that means those waiting on Escape Artists and Downpour may wait until Fall before I start working on those again...I really don't know what the right answer is, but something's gotta give.
Podfics - uhhhh, still trucking along. Paradise is so goddamn close to being done I'm....asdfghjkl;ll;fgvhcfdgjaklk
Uh and besides that, I'm working on a papercraft in memorial of my hamsters and wanting, and being unable, to draw more of Krow.
All of that along with holding down a full time job, having a husband and a small zoo and gardening, and, like, having time to fit in a 12 hour coma here and there.

I'm 40. damn bro.
I finished Mark's book about not giving a fuck and it was really good.
there was a part about death that i found most intriguing, saying that if death is inevitable you might as well live until it comes. which is true and something i've been struggling with since my mom died.
Idk now if I said it in the last post but I also finished Dan's book and it was so helpful, I really wish I could force my teens to read it. (lovingly)
i'm now listening to "because internet" which is a fun linguistic study of internet language.
today i finally made crepes on the crepe maker E gave me ages ago. depression had a hold on me so i couldn't try it for ages but finally i'm there! i need to buy milk and mineral water for good pancakes but the experiment was a success!
in pogo news, I did groudon and kyogre raids and ... got nothing special :D but raiding was fun :D annoying tho that it's obvious you just can't have certain pokemon on certain levels. i played with my secondary, much lower account, and it just wouldn't let me catch groudon, even tho i won 3 raids for it. boo.
This weekend was Intense.
On friday i had my korean lesson and then met up with F for Zone of Interest. It was a great movie, I was immersed in it to the point that I kinda forgot it wasn't present. I also couldn't help but draw parallels to gaza but apparently I'm not allowed to talk about that.
Satuday was raid day and then Sunday I went to the protest. This time I got a flag and I made it all the way to the end of the protest! (minus the dancing, i went home for that :D )
it was ok despite my horrific anxiety making my back hurt and some details I didn't like (a guy spilled a bag of flour to prove some point but like... why are you spilling food while pointing out people are staving pls.)
it was quite interesting how I spent most of the day today trying to see myself in pics and vids of the protest and only found ONE pic. soothes my anxiety a little, knowing i'm invisible :D
i've been following exercises from here and i've been increasing the number and length, i'm pleased!
My flat is currently fairly clean and things are mostly in their place. yay mental health?
and on the note of mental health i'm working on my fic again slowly too.
I did end up buying all the currently published Mo Dao Zu Shi comics :D which is 5 :D oh well!
I'm also going to get a in person local Korean teacher. It'll cost a bit but it's fine I hope.
Meanwhile I tested spotify and i don't like it. the organization is sadly a mess. the main feature i miss is the ability to see all songs by an artist. without that, their whole app is useless to me.
I watched cooking crush and it's a really good show, I recommend it to all my friends now :D even tho the asian parent thing... it's not for me. i'm too chill toward my family even for my culture.
I got tickets for a musical in april, which i'll see with a student. (and another student is in the musical!)
had some good talks with my therapist, mainly about whether or not i care about being fat. i combined this with a chapter from mark's book, and it's quite simple i think. do i care? somewhat. certainly some mobility is not as it should be and i def want to fix that part. but a lot of my feelings about my own body are from outside. and he talks about how wanting to be something isn't the same as wanting to do the work for it, and that's basically it. would i like to be skinny? sure. am i willing to do the work for it? ... not? really? at least not now.
anyway exams are approaching, the end of this career is approaching. i'm chewing on that but so far i haven't reached anything specific. i need to write an email to the company i'm gonna ask for help, so this is my reminder to do that tomorrow :D

random lovely guzma urge to delyeet everythin on myne site bc not only did i make it for petz things back when i was active between petz folks and got some encouragement there and ended up never finishing petz things for it, but i also feel horrible and uncommited for it being hosted and made on weebly and for bein too lazy to yeet my shit over to neocities just cause that shit gives me a headache and instead of getting inspired by people i feel jealous and unwelcome
also been working on my sleep schedule its a bit better now and im like. better in general now..? idk how long i can keep this up but getting up early makes me just. so tired like all day urgh i do not understand how i used to keep myself up when this tired. tired tired. brain empty. hard to do shit for long. defo needs more breaks but i swear to god everything feels like its frying my brain but i got nothin to do indoors. guess i can go draw traditionall but i end up putting such high expectations on myself i just yeah. fuck it up. get stressed. not fun. i need to stop thinking about others bc i keep thinking i put effort into smthn i need to show it off.like if i wasted time here i might as well. no this isnt showable it sucks damn it
even stuff i do draw purely for myself as self indulgent shit i go urhh this aint right
oh and then i try doin a lil excercise so im not like. physically diyng but my god that tires me out like instantly. but its okay, baby steps.
dont know what sort of place i am in mentally. the type id prolly spiral a bit over if it werent nice and 2 pm. wacky stuff. i wanna maybe do some stuff but ugh my brain just. isnt big thoughts when im tired. but honestly when am i not tired. and i am getting art done but i cant get myself to draw all day again ill end up in pain again my hand rn already is being a bit of a bitch

also, different thing, but ive been considering this for a good few months now and kinda ignoring it but i read one (1) thing and i m intrigued to do more n more research now but man do not like how moral ocd clicks perfectly with a lot of my most common issues . so i guess thats a thing to consider going into (like research) . if it helps .bc dear god i am Sensitive
