I know you haven't thought about Madelyn as much as Maeve and I don't know much about your take on the character yet but I was reading your tags on that post and got curious. You said that maybe valuing her child as hers rather than a Vought asset could potentially drive her away from the company. You think that could've happened with Teddy? I always wondered if she made the decision to make him a supe or if he was already one when she decided to take him but as far as I remember she definitely saw him as hers so I was wondering what would've happened if she had more time, especially with how weird HL was about that baby.

Second thought because that's what happens when you're on public transport for an hour with just your thoughts. I was thinking about how some people, even not Maeve fans, have imagined a scenario in which Maeve and Elena keep Ryan and thinking about Teddy made me think about one where they keep Teddy instead, since Ryan is already more grown and currently with two (bad) father figures.

I don't know, maybe an AU in which Stillwell asked Maeve to take him in her will or something knowing she was the strongest supe and the one that could protect him the most? Though she knew Maeve was a mess so I don't know how much she would've trusted her with her child lol but it was a random thought and imagining Maeve and Elena with a kid that can teleport made me laugh

It's funny you bring up Teddy, because Teddy is one of those things that makes me feel like I don't really "know" Madelyn all that well. I feel like I have a pretty good idea of how she is with Homelander/Maeve/other people at Vought because that's mostly how we see her on the show, and so I'm able to extrapolate in my head (for example, even tho we dont see her interact directly with maeve, I can easily imagine her with Maeve based on how she is with the others, plus a little of my own wishes sprinkled in lol)

but when Teddy popped up in season 3 with powers, I was confused. first because that kid kinda looked too old to me to be Teddy (even taking into account the 1 year gap from season 2-3 I swear that kid looked like, 4 or 5) but more relevantly because I was like - "why would Madelyn, knowing how horrible Homelander and the other Supes have it, want her child to go thru that?" Why would she have given her kid Compound V? I suppose the most logical answer is - as we saw an episode or two later in s3 with victoria neuman - that Madelyn probably gave Teddy V for protection's sake - knowing that Homelander or others might threaten him someday - and I mean, she was right in that regard... it paid off. In honesty, I think the Teddy reappearance was more of a follow up gag to s1 than meant to be like an honest exploration of Madelyn (and who knows if he'll come back)...

but that's what I mean, is that there isn't ENOUGH content on the show about Madelyn & Teddy away from Vought & Homelander, or other aspects of Madelyn's life, for me to feel like I know how she operates away from Vought. I could make it up if I wanted to... 'cuz that's what fandom is... but for me, I get most enticed to form headcanons and build if there's a TINY structure to go from rather than nothing - for example, going from Madelyn & Homelander's interactions to Madelyn & Maeve's likely interactions, or building a childhood for Maeve based off that one line about her dad lmao.

anyways back to the ACTUAL POINT. i agree with you I'm more enticed (in some ways) by the possibility of Maeve and Elena being called upon to raise Teddy vs. Ryan. I mean, for Maeve's part, I think she'd have an easier time getting on board with helping Madelyn's kid vs Homelander's kid. (on the other hand, the ryan scenario is in some ways easier for me to IMAGINE bc, as I was just saying, we know more about Ryan and thus can imagine what he needs & how Maeve might interact with him, vs Teddy being all but unknown). It's fun to imagine Madelyn leaving Teddy to Maeve but... honestly I think Madelyn would know Maeve well enough to not have her as a #1 choice of mother figure hahaha she'd have to REALLY have no options for that to be the best case. in-universe i suppose the fact that Teddy ended up at that Red River center implies that Madelyn didn't have any family or anyone set up to take him, or else maybe they didn't WANT a supe kid so sent him to the center. who knows

but anyway, tho its hard for me to picture I do wonder about that side of Madelyn. if she went out of her way to become a single mother in her 50s, yknow, she must have REALLY wanted a child. but also had to know continuing to do her current job while having a baby (especially given Homelander's whole... thing) would be really hard and risky. but chose to do it anyway. why? what circumstances were making her do that? or was it all just pride and thinking she can "do it all"?? i think these would be really interesting questions to answer if the show was about her. but she's a one-season antagonist. so. I'm not complaining, just musing :)

WAAA Mana ilyyy mwah mwah 1. Who are they and what's their dynamic with the commander? Well! Crow basically is Momo's personal scout after the event of HoT and partial s3 by a shared arrangement they got ( and many letters that from professional turned friendly turned to be...more than just that). At this point tho he feels more like a shadow or a bodyguard , not that....the commander needs it ( or maybe he does). He's like a pillar to Momo! Someone he knows he can trust 10. Are there any events in the story that happen differently because of / to/ involving them? I dont know if these count but i have plenty! To share one of them:

- s3 after braham's argument, they meet to discuss the scout situation in Hoelbreak! and...it's a moment to cheer up the commander and actually showing Crow sees a person in him and not just an idolized figure. How? well....they kind of...talk about feelings? It's complicated because Momo is trying his best to make things work but everything is happening so much! Crow may seem impulsive but he's the opposite, he calculates and give precise answers and...the commander needs someone who doesnt sugarcoat things but can be comforting? actual support despite everything? They spend quality time together as friends and not through letters anymore and weeeeelll.... this is important to Momo as character by a LOT. I should actually make a post about it to explain Momo's feelings and reactions about this. Let's just say they shared a kiss here aaaa 15. What's the commander's favorite quality in them? There's a lot Cardamomo loves and adores about Crow, however I think he envies but cherishes Crow's freedom in pretty much...everything. He can love how Crow laughs or gets that gleam in their eyes whenever they are fishing, but I think he simply...adores how Crow is free to express himself, well... partially at least, not like he can be a saltspray in the open yet but! Someone so stuck in a role...needs that too and Crow earnestly wants to give back all he can, usually that's why you see Crow dragging Momo around a lot! Letting Momo enjoy the mundane ( Momo loves Crow's hugs)

im sweating no one has asked it yet. i have been sitting on an ask for a while that suddenly seems a lot more plausible and therefore worthy of asking. I also have a couple of things that caught my attention.

1785 refering to nicolas and lestat joining the theatre makes a lot of sense. I mean what else can go there? Nothing. Non of the characters (in the show) have anything important happen around that time. Plus it makes sense for lestat to rise through the ranks of the theatre over the course of years instead of several months.

!!!if nicki is there he needs to be cast which means we also meet him way before we thought we would. !! Also that might mean that the other unexpected character from the vc is Nicki!

This also means that the books are a lot more condensed than we originally thought. And if the joining of the theatre is in s2 what from tvl will they add as well and what will they leave for a comprehensive tvl 3rd season? Tho i have to say that it would make sense to put tvl partially in another season because i just cant see how you can properly adapt that book to only 8 40min episodes, there is just too much happening.

Oh yes! That ask i had been sitting on.

2. so about a week or so ago i was doing some writing and suddenly i had this thought. You know how we have been speculating that dubai is in the merric era and that lestat maybe in a coma in another room? And how we will find this out at the end, which then leads us into s3? Like they show us unconcious lestat and fade out? Yeah what if they open with it tho. What if the first episode starts on a shot of Lestat, in dubai, unconcious. Actually this makes no sense cause that would ruin louis further narrative before daniel has even gotten his hands on it. And like it would have been sort of hinted in the synposis right with "with the apperance of an unexpected factor" or something vague like that? The reason im telling you this anyway is because; how can there be flashbacks from lestat if he, or some representation of him isnt there? Did he write diaries too? We know there was a paragraph of the wolfkiller in one of the claudia diaries. I think someone had discovered that in a frame back in november or something. I dont quite remember and i couldnt find it upon rewatching, but maybe i should pay closer attention.

3. I also realised we know quite some things about lestats timeline already. I dont know if anyone has mentioned this already. So i had been rewatching episode three, the bit where lestat offers the tickets to 'donazettis comic masterpiece' the opera i dont remeber the name of. He describes having met donazetti and having seen the premier 73 years ago in Salle Ventadour. Salle Ventadour is in Paris, 1917-73= 1844 which means he was a vampire and hasnt left paris yet. Is this takingplace in lestats era before turning nicky where he is going to all these society events as gentleman death and meets armand? No obviously not, that would make nicky 60ish by the time he is turned. So its after, its probably in that time just before he decides to go seek marius. The time in which nicky, post vamp transformation grows to resent and distance himself from lestat even more. What if lestat tries to distract himself from his nicki who is getting more and more antagonistic as the years, in this case , go by, by going to operas and stuff? It would make sense for lastat to hold hope for a long time, to endure for a long time (you saw how fast time started passing in season 1 as soon as the vampirism hit) It would also make sense for lestat to take decades to find marius. So timeline!!

1760= lestat born >(lestat gets the green pendent form the marquise)> 1884ish 24 yo= nicky and lestat run away to paris (maybe the wolfkiller happens in the same year) >> 1785 25yo=nicky and lestat join the theatre >> 1794 (middle of the french revolution, girls(gn) what a time to be turned into a vampire)= lestat is kidnaped and turned into a vamprire, im not actually sure they are going to show that in too much detail as they have already talked about it. > i think gabrielle gets turned before the FRev ends and nicky between 1800 and 1810, that would make 1 century before Louis > 1844= lestat sees the premier of DON PASQUALE DONIZETTIS COMIC MASTERPIECE, i remember! Nicki is turned, but lestat is not out of paris so nicki is not dead yet.> between 1844 and 1909/10 there is a fallout with nicki, lestat leaves paris, looks for marius, nicki dies, marius is found, those who mist be kept, lestat goes to america in very old clothes that he doesnt bother to change until louis tells him to. (If not for his father why does lestat go to america here?)>>1910=lestat arrives in new orleans.

Yes!! You made sense, I just answered an ask also theorizing in regards to the changed structure (but I didn't combine them because would have been too long^^ and also:)

1785 also marks the point in time where Armand would have needed to vacate Les Innocents with his coven, since the bones were relocated to the catacombs in 1786. That must have been quite the change for him - no matter how it happens, and it changes some of the story of The Vampire Lestat already!

The "mistake" (what they called it but while that may be true I don't know if I should believe them^^) of the diary entry being part of Lestat's story is in episode 4, where Daniel thumbs through one of the diaries. It could be used to give us a part of Lestat's story, yes, but... you know, I bet we will see Lestat in a coma towards the end of the season, and I could easily see it beeing Armand who is taking Daniel there to show him - and Louis might use that moment to try to kill himself. (I would love that. Can you imagine Armand being with Lestat down there and slowly realizing what's happening, and then Lestat's eyes opening?????? PLEASE^^)

Yes, I also was thinking about that the other day, but you are totally correct, and I haven't seen much about this either. >> As you correctly point out the remark to the premier is particularly interesting. The date of said premier was January 3rd 1843. It has already been theorized that Lestat's turning was likely during the Reign of Terror, as he himself said he was turned in 1794. For him to be staying in Paris for such a long time after the turning... that is quite the change. (If we take it as him staying, rather than him returning at some point, which is also possible I suppose) the ties must have been very strong. What if... what if Nicolas actually was successful, too, and then couldn't be anymore since he became a vampire, too. And yes, Nicolas must've been turned (just) prior to 1810 (if we take the 100 years literally) and after Gabrielle, but that still makes a few years in which he would have mourned Lestat?! Which makes me also think the relationship between them will actually be portrayed as even deeper. What if there is an echo to what is happening to Louis later... what if there is more to Nicolas' depression than we thought? And also... I think for me it all depends a bit on where Armand was during that time. What if Armand went back to Rome for a bit? The Roman coven is gone after all when Lestat gets there, only some vagabonds around... What if Armand went there when Les Innocents was closed, realized that Santino had abandoned his teachings and it all crumbled there before he returned? But yes, I also think that Lestat's travels likely took place between 1844 and 1910 - and I also think that they kept Marius and TwmbK more or less unchanged (at least for now).

I personally cannot wait to see where they take these changes... there is so much already in there, so much set up. I've said it before, they not only have done their homework but they are also fearlessly rearranging, and I love it. AND they must have a bigger plan already worked out, because there’s just... too much details already. Too many little things. Choices.

How did you end up as a byler? Everyone is posting their stories

i first noticed it when s2 came out after seeing how protective mike was of will. the second episode especially when he finds will on halloween and puts his arm around him and doesnt let anyone else touch him was the first time i was like 👀??? i remember thinking to myself “ok do i just want characters to be gay or is anybody else seeing this” and then i went on here and saw a small community of people who shipped them. i dont remember how many followers the tag had but it was probably like 2k honestly. it wasnt much. at this point tho i never thought it would actually happen. i shipped them the same way i currently ship ronance and steddie. i thought they were cute but i didnt at all think it would actually happen mostly just bc its so unlikely for a show this massive to make their main characters be in a gay relationship. there were hints from s1 about will being gay so i thought that was possible but mike being queer was just a fun idea to think about and nothing more. and i thought if anything he’d be bi not gay.

when s3 came out i had byler in mind before starting it and was wondering if itd be anything like s2. at first i didnt see any of the big hints i always reference now so i still didnt think it would go anywhere but i was shocked when mike said “its not my fault you dont like girls”. that confirmed for me that at least will was gay. i remember being so confused when i went on twitter and saw people claiming he just meant it as in he hasnt grown up yet. to me i fully thought that was the show confirming hes gay. but i finished the show not really thinking much about byler because still, no part of me ever thought it would actually happen and there werent much positive scenes between them.

i went on tumblr again a few months later and saw some things on my dash from people i followed after s2 that pointed out s3 byler things that i didnt notice before so i rewatched s3 and really watched mikes behavior and thats when i was first was like “holy shit this could actually happen??” but i still wasnt 100% sold. then they announced s4 in february and i saw the poster with mike and will looking at each other i was fully convinced it would happen. and then a month later i made this stupid blog and ive been yapping to you guys ever since.

i didnt think id ever be this active in the fandom. i was always just lurking for years and following a lot of byler content and maybe sending some anons about byler but never engaging too much. and when i first made this i was like “i might post sometimes but ill probably mostly just reblog, i dont think im smart enough to come up with theories and shit” and now look at me. could not shut up if i tried. its fun tho i like it here.

Gotta keep telling myself like, 60% of the HnK fandom is just babies who are like, Barely out of their teenage years (allegedly - I’m not IN the fandom bc im almost 30 and fandom drama anything is stupid and not worth my time) but sometimes I’ll see a stupid take and then it’s like “oh you’re just 19 okay. Ur a BABY in comparison you don’t have the life experience to know better” but man it’s SO HARD to not have anyone on my same intellect to talk about this series 😩

It just feels like a vast majority of readers side with Phos despite all of the equally shitty things they did with the Gems and treat Phos like they fulfilled all of their promises even tho they didn’t? They jumped from one empty, long-winded promise to another and the only way they were ever fulfilled is by someone else who fell into the place that Phos left.

Like, Bort was absolutely correct when they said Phos preyed on their weaknesses and then manipulated them into leaving earth (save for Dia, who had already peaced out-ied), but you all aren’t ready for that kind of taking accountability yet

Also, regarding Phos, the best most recent example I can think of comes from TUA S3; this quote from Five:

You know what they call a superhero who works alone and doesn’t listen to anybody? A villain.

In the perspective of the Gems, Phos is a wild card. Unpredictable, chaotic, powerful, othered. All in all, Phos is basically a superhero relative to the Gems’ usual abilities. They are To be feared, because they [the Gems] don’t understand. Jade even says “I’m sorry I didn’t take the time to understand you” (PARAPHRASE) Phos, whether intentionally or not, lauds this over the rest of the Gems.

[To simplify - Phos is that kid who keeps kicking the back of your chair. Hard. And doesn’t stop when you ask politely]

So like YES - the Gems absolutely suck in that aspect of not really ever understanding Phos based on their formulated, projected image of them. Yes they should’ve made more of an effort to support Phos earlier on, etc etc. BUT at the same time, if their circumstances were also being outwardly manipulated the entire time by Aechmea, then they really couldn’t do much to stop it.

On the flip side, the Gems suck because they’re now dealing with their own butterfly effect of problems coming to light between themselves and their community/culture as a whole because of Phos, who swung at the proverbial bees nest??? That also doesn’t sit well, because it’s reducing the problem to Black vs White; good versus evil, and that’s where I fear people are losing the actual themes of the story in exchange for “durhur my blorbos” brainrot 🙄

[Dont blind yourselves to the ways in which a character does or doesn’t take accountability and responsibility for their actions. It’s what differentiates a hero from a coward; the degree in which a character owns up to their actions is a huge reflection of their personal integrity]

Even if Phos viewed their own actions as noble and worth the effort and troubles imposed on the others, they still acted selfishly. Solo. They saw this big, monumental task that nobody had ever done before and developed so much tunnel vision for it without thinking of how their actions would branch out and affect everyone else around them.

When Cinnabar tells them to drop it for their own sake, Phos does the complete fucking opposite and escalate things. They hear “Don’t do that” and see a challenge to prove wrong.

So I don’t blame Cinnabar for not wanting to go or stay with Phos, since REALLY, this fucking far, Phos never actually thought about Cinnabar other than as a means to fulfill THEIR promises to find them a better job. Cinna even acknowledges that - “if you had just asked to be partners, it would be different” (NOT VERBATIM) - like Shinsha Isn’t fucking stupid, and perhaps is able to see through more of the ruse Phos put up than the other Gems because they lived separately from the community mindset. And also if we’re speaking truthfully, their connection wasn’t even that deep beyond shipping lenses. Phos never took the time to really get to know Shinsha or understand what THEY wanted. Phos imposed what they thought Shinsha wanted.

Anyway Jesus fucking Christ I have a lot of thoughts and analysis now that I’ve reread Houseki at an older age - there are a lot of moments and events that I didn’t fully understand when I first read it. But boy there are so many more things I get now that im older :’)

Also all attempts at starting “fandom drama” with me will be ignored :) because I literally don’t care about the petty trivialities of fandom drama.

#i just need to find the people my age who can actually have discussions on the theme #without being like THE GEMS SUCK #like yes we know that. we’ve seen it #hnk #actually analyze the series and open your minds up to LEARNING media literacy and analysis actually #this phase of earth and humanity is not ready for the conversation of individualism vs community #especially bc we real life fucking humans Suck at it #personal txt #it’s just like PLEASE did we READ the same series #explain why they suck without saying THEY WERE MEAN :( or give me any insight that you actually understand the content and it’s nuances #you gotta learn to view the big picture detached from personal bias and emotion #but also let yourself connect and relate to characters #maybe a lot of these kids see themselves in Phos #i know at one point my perspective held Phos in favor but that’s because of where I personally was in my life #which was a very Me against the World type mindset (which makes an ugly color on anyone)#but I was also 18/19 when I viewed phos favorably

Alright investigated an interview one of the creators of the show just did and released a couple hours ago. They def haven’t fully decided who is behind the door. They keep giving conflicting answers, they said they did a script that showed who was behind the door, and also a script with a completely different ending. They said s3 might be a time to explore what Rahim could bring to victor as a queer friendship and what those friendships look like, and also said they wanted s3 to be about exploring a love triangle because “queer kids don’t have those stories told as much as straight kids” (which i have strong opinions about bc 1) yes they do that’s basically all people write with queer relationships on tv shows lowkey, 2) is not even a good troop to see in straight relationships like it promotes toxic communication issues, a love triangle regardless of the sexuality of the people is 99% of the time not good writing and just unnecessarily destroying the loyalty and relationship of already established relationships). They are quite literally seeing what the audience wants, and with that there’s a possibility of it being Rahim bc i have seen many who do like that couple. I honestly wouldn’t be as upset about it if venji wasn’t the focus for half the season. Like maybe if venji had major fight issues since the beginning i would have been like “oh okay” but they truly had a really solid thing for half the season and then suddenly it went downhill when another queer character was introduced. Which again, cheap writing.

Also i dont like how they wanted to tackle alcoholism in minors (which is a really big and realistic thing) and yet they made it just a conflict in the relationship. I wanted to see more on Benji dealing with it alone aside from the relationship, and maybe even make it a thing Victor supports (bc he had known since s1). I didn’t want it to be a cliche where suddenly Benji is being irrational in Victor’s eyes or Victor is pushy about it. Sadly it kinda was treated like that, which annoyed me.

I said it in a diff post, but I definitely won’t be watching all of s3 if Rahim gets chosen, bc it seems so fucking ugly to me to have the queer characters “fall” for all queer characters they interact with. Like the moment Victor meets another gay dude suddenly his feelings for Benji change?? Thats just cheap writing to me lmao. I do like Rahim a lot though. If they go for Rahim as a love interest or keep the love triangle drama for another season i will simply just watch lake vids with lucy and not the show lmao.

On another hand lake!!!! Lake!!! I hope queer lake can at least be friends with Felix tho🥺 and with Pilar too!!! (Would have been funny if pilar had been queer too. Multiple queer siblings is also a very regular and normal thing I have not seen in media yet).

so ive had this idea for an amphibia fangame for a lil while now-

(LONG post)

its based around the idea that sometime after anne got sent back to earth, she decides to sneak out one night to visit sasha and marcys bedrooms and poke through their stuff. this causes a bunch of memories to come back to anne through flashbacks while she tries to process everything thats happened and her feelings abt their friendship.

i was thinking itd be mostly a visual novel type thing. maybe with a few small choices, but the story would be mostly linear. thered be around 3 main story beats: a prologue bit w/ anne sneaking out of her house, marcys bedroom, and sashas bedroom. also one of the main mechanics would be looking at one of their bedrooms and clicking on random objects of importance and triggering a flashback sequence.

it came from the idea that anne will probably try to just shove all her emotions down and try to ignore her feelings abt true colors and everything that went down then. especially with what we saw in the sneak peek, anne will probably try to hide her emotions and bottle them up, which is obviously not healthy. so eventually shes gonna have to work through her emptional baggage and try to process everything.

i havent thought through EVERYTHING just yet, just some more major plot points and maybe one or two ideas for flashbacks. nothing too solid yet. but heres a bit more detailed runthrough of the plot

summary - prologue

so it would start off with anne at home. she and her mom are talking outside annes room. her moms concerned abt how annes been handling everything that happened in amphibia but anne keeps brushing everything off. her mom tries to get her to open up, but she keeps dismissing her and eventually shuts herself in her room. after taking a bit to cool off and think anne decides that shes gonna take the night to just ride off her emotions and stop repressing them for once. she also makes an impulsive decision to sneak out and check out marcy and sashas rooms.

anne goes to gather her stuff in her room, and just as shes about to climb out the window, sprig walks in to check on her. hes still rly concerned abt his big sis but he knows he cant stop her. he tries to go with anne, but she tells him she needs to do this on her own. so, sprig lets her go and tries to cover for her while shes gone.

so at this point i’ll probably give the player the choice of whose house to visit first. it doesnt rly impact the story or whatever, but i guess it might have a small emotional impact depending on whose house u choose to go to first??

(quick note: after this bit, there arent too many specific details for the plot and stuff like that. its largely just an overall idea of how the plot is gonna go. and even then, there isnt much to it. i didnt think that far ahead yet, which is why there isnt as much refinement yet. so far i just have general ideas for how annes gonna get to the bedrooms, with a couple of vague flashback ideas. just keep that in mind; this whole thing is still being thought over and planned as im typing this out)

with sasha, annes still rly conflicted abt how she feels abt her. of course shes still rly hurt by being backstabbed by her twice and swordfighting her as many times. but as much as she hates sasha she cant bring herself to fully give up on sash. she hates her guts but deep down shes still willing to give sash another chance.

there may or may not be a small sequence where anne has to sneak into sashas house, but eventually she works her way into sashas room. im not entirely sure abt the details of sashas house n her family yet. im probably gonna wait for info from s3 until i solidify anything, but for now i do know that sashas family has a big house n theyre probably rich.

so anne goes into sashas room and its been left pretty much untouched ever since annes birthday, save for the few times someone came in to dust things off. again, dont rly have all the details for sashas room, but it kind of has a vibe of controlled chaos, with organized clutter and a bit of a touch of a rebellious teen girl. one detail i do want to have is a calendar opened up to the month the trio disappeared, with annes birthday circled and highlighted so much that its impossible to miss.

the calendar itself might include a flashback. im thinking of also having a varsity jacket and some old stuffed animal be different “artifacts” that trigger their own memories. there’ll be a bunch more, but those are the only ideas i have so far fjsbndnd

summary - marcy

ok so i want to be rly mean about marcys segment: this is going off the theory that marcys parents moved away while the trio was in amphibia.

anne doesnt know this yet tho, so shes in for quite a surprise when she turns onto marcys street to find a realtor sign on the front lawn. the clues are all there: an empty driveway, sign on the lawn, an overall empty vibe coming from the house. but it doesnt completely register at first. its not til anne actually comes up close does she notice the sign.

anne tries to deny it, and decides to prove to herself that “no marcys parents wouldnt do this. theyre not that cruel. im just gonna check marcys room myself.” the front doors locked, so she just goes over to marcys window and climbs in.

but its completely empty.

ok not totally empty, but a lot of marcys furniture and stuff is gone, except for a few stray toys and other “junk.” the home guys (idk what theyre called????) are still kind of in the process of cleaning everything out, so theres still some stuff left here and there around the house. but its still way too empty. and its yet another gut punch for anne.

anne searches the rest of the house a bit more, hoping that shes just hallucinating. but no, marcys parents are really gone. she tried to deny it before, but now she has more of an idea of how shitty the wu parents are. so anne decides to just mope around in marcys old room, checking out the stuff their parents left behind.

maybe she finds an old blanket marcy liked when he was rly young. or an old rubiks cube from marcys vast collection. a cnc figurine, some cards, a pride flag, and old diary? a couple of other old toys, an old report card or two, or maybe even some stray clothes. whatever anne finds, its all thats left of marcy, at least in LA.

it really doesnt leave anne in that much of a better emotional position. she already felt conflicted enough about what happened in true colors and what she found out abt marcy. but seeing even a small glimpse of what marcy was dealing with, it just makes her more confused. marcy was such a sweet kid! theres no way they couldve done anything wrong. yet here anne was, betrayed by both of her childhood friends.

only now is anne really taking the time to process the fact that marcy essentially kidnapped her and sasha with the calamity box. he didnt mean to do it, and theres no way they couldve known the box would actually work, but it doesnt completely excuse marcy. his actions still hurt anne and sash, and while they meant the best of intentions, it didnt rly come through that way.

and now marcy was dead. stabbed in the back by the newt king.

and now annes curled up in an empty bedroom, wrapped up in one of marcys old blankets, trying to wrap her head around her feelings about marcy while reminiscing in the past.

summary - extras/epilogue??

i kind of like the idea that anne ends up drifting off in which ever bedroom ended up being the second one she visited. she slowly comes back to consciousness, with her surroundings feeling somewhat familiar, only to wake up in horror bc “OH SHIT I FORGOT TO GO BACK HOME” im not completely sold on the idea tho bc it feels a bit abrupt and like too much of a tone shift?? idk it doesnt feel exactly right

but anyways, im also playing around with the idea of a small epilogue scene with the calamity trio hanging out in annes room, a good amount of time after amphibia ended. dont know what theyre doing in there, but theyre just chilling and feeling a bit nostalgic i guess.

but uh yeah thats pretty much what ive got for the overall idea. it doesnt feel too out of reach, but somethjng like this would definitely be ambitious. i could mayyyybe handle writing out the vn and drawing the character sprites, but i have no idea how to code a vn or draw detailed backgrounds, both of which would be pretty important to this fangame fjsndj. so i might consider having help with this.

THIS ISNT ANY SORT OF PROMISE OR WHATEVER. id rly love to follow through and make this fangame a thing, but im not making any guarantees. i have no idea if i’ll actually follow through, but i would definitely love to.

who knows. maybe in like a couple years this might actually become a thing. but for now i have no idea

STUFF I DIDNT LIKE ABOUT MYSTREET SEASON 4:

• ok but the animations here are great. actually tho they're so fluid and clear. Credits to whoever made them!!

• and now let’s do the real thing

• ok so first off this is where the actual plot starts. I know that some people were getting bored of the monotony of the slice of life episodes so they liked it. Again there’s nothing inherently wrong with having it but you have to remember that these characters most likely weren’t written to be in a plot and I say this because their personalities are funny and lighthearted. Their clearly meant for comedy. This also makes them redundant for plot since most of them a few characters barely have any development which is probably why like half the cast was dropped. im not sure how far back jess had planned the plot but needless to say most of the characters wouldn‘t be able to fit there. Travis, Katelyn, KC and the sk’s just dipped for the whole season and even when kc, Travis and Katelyn do show up in s5 their personalities really took a beating

• WHERE DID LAURANCE AND DANTE GO?? We never see them after s3. its probably because their personalities were too funny for plot but laurance was a shadow knight in mcd and since the whole of mys is so hyped up on the whole ‘mcd and mys are connected’ thing by all means he should’ve been there too

• it makes sense that since the lodge is jointly owned by the Ro’meaves and the Lycans, Garroth, Zane and Aaron- and by extension, Aphmau- would come along. it make sense that they would ask Lucinda for help- she’s a skilled witch and has been their friend since high school. theyre literally neighbors. it makes NO SENSE to being Kim- a girl whom they’ve barely ever interacted with and whom they barely know- to a place meant for close family to go to. Ok from a plot perspective yes Kim needed to be there but Aphmau logically doesnt know that yet.

• how does ghost/emmalyn even exist?? We’ve seen emmalyn and kenmur in s1 and they’re ok. not dead or anything. Yes I know that this is mcd emmalyn and she is directly referencing mcd Zane when she says that’s the only name she remembers from when she was alive but that raises two questions- first, how can both mcd and mys versions of her exist at the same time?? and second, what exactly happened between her and mcd zane?? It sounds like she either hates him way more than she loves kenmur (or she’d remember him too) that it’s the only name she remembers or its Stockholm Syndrome.

• I feel that since the plot demanded a ghost vessel thing that was the only reason Aphmau brought Kim. it’s pretty clear that Dante and laurance wouldn’t fit the role because of their personalities so she just remade an older character and changed her completely right down to her skin to fit the plot. her whole personality changes with it- look at her I mean she even becomes more open when she talks. Again this only happened because none of the existing characters could fill that role because IT WASNT MEANT TO HAVE PLOT

• no one likes you michi girl take the hint

• seeing liochant brings back meMoriEs

• what was that potion that lucinda made and which Garroth threw on Zane?? its clear that it cured him from the effects of the forever potion but the bigger question is WHY DONT THEY USE THIS IN S6?? Ok yes in s4 Aphmau gets freed by the power of love(TM) but that doesn’t mean you do that for everyone

• as someone who liked Laurance’s character I miss him :(

• ok there’s WAY TOO MANY PROBLEMS with Ein and his villain shtick. Ein is basically some obsessive werewolf yandere boy who has an unhealthy obsession with aphmau and hates Aaron. and the cherry on top is that Aphmau is his HALF SISTER. THATS INC*ST. That’s GROSS. What is it with Aphmau antagonists and not having a clear motive or backstory?? mcd Zane and Ein both suffer from this and it shows. there were definitely better motives to give him- he doesn’t have to be centered around Aphmau all the time!! And even if you don’t want to go to all the trouble of rewriting the plot you could at least make it so that Ein knows that he and Aphmau are related. Maybe he wants a perfect sister instead and he’s willing to go to any lengths to get her there. it would still be dark and serious but it would be SO MUCH BETTER than the current plotline. Also showing the contrast between his pdh and s4 self and then not giving any semblance of an explanation really makes it difficult to imagine where it all went wrong. yes Michael definitely had something to do with it but to what extent?? How much is Ein actually in control of?? Is he under the influence of a forever potion when he turns Zane, Lucinda and Aphmau to his side?? Is he still under its influence when he fights Aaron?? look I get that they can’t reveal everything but leaving out THIS MUCH and not even revealing it in s6 makes it very difficult to accurately nail Ein’s character.

• how is Aaron even revived?? is that Irene?? how is she here and what is she doing here?? Can we have answers pls. also it makes no sense that she saves Aaron TWICE- once in s4 and second in s6. How does death even work here if Irene can just swoop in and bring them back to life. i feel like none of the villains ever count as threats then because you know that a cryptic mysterious goddess who somehow looks just like your girlfriend will revive you.

• how did Aaron even survive?? No seriously how?? We know that there’s no service or wifi up there at the lodge so using their phones is out of the question. i don’t think Lucinda would be able to conjure up a whole medical team for Aaron. and they're on a MOUNTAIN. It takes precious time to get down from it. for context, even if they sent Garroth (since he’s the fastest) down to get help they’d have to wait for him to reach the village area at the base of the mountain, get a phone, call for help, wait for said help to arrive and get Aaron to a hospital. meanwhile Aaron is bleeding out from multiple gashes on his chest made at like point black range that are critical at best and fatal at worst. (his only saving grace is the snow he’s on which would help to numb the wound because its cold but he has like FIVE deep chest wounds and the snow isn’t even on his wounds.) Ya sorry I don’t see how he manages to survive.

• did I mention that I miss Laurance?? • Why is Aaron not at a hospital I don’t even see a ventilator or oxygen mask near him. Listen I’m not a medical expert but those gashes landed straight on his chest which means straight on his lungs and dangerously close to his heart. how is he alive. how is he not choking on blood right now. we know he’s bleeding out- I’m pretty sure one of the doctors even says “Mrs Lycan, we need to draw more blood for your son.” yes he’s bleeding out why is no one trying to idk stop the wound through pressure with a cloth or something?? (Note: it’s been a while since I’ve watched s4, so if I do get anything wrong thats why!!) also why are the werewolf doctors so chill about Aaron’s ultima eyes? like yes they’re doctors they could’ve been sworn to secrecy or maybe they work for the Lycans but Derek is shown to be really paranoid about anyone finding out about Aaron being the ultima. how does he know they won’t tell it to someone else??

i am new to the fandom & just found your blog, just wanted to say DAMN its so detailed and everything, i cant wait to read it all! also i was so relieved to find that the fandom is still alive <3

side note im just rambling here, i binged sherlock all really quick and everything is like a blur (idk if im in a state of shock or something, but i do know i was super invested at s1 ep 2, then i finished s4 at 4am one day and i had to read me some johnlock fics to comfort myself and i really dont know how i feel about anything yet just that well, johnlock and i cried during sherlocks fake death even tho i already accidentally read spoilers, and i also cried when they just went to hang out at bars together and hhh and during sherlocks best man speech and sherlocks goodbye to john (…maybe goodbye should be plural)…also i was v mad at eurus and s4 was a hell of a rollercoaster gd), so just wondering, how many times have you watched sherlock? how was the experience each time? (can be about any season or eps or anything, also any snacks u liked to eat while watching or anything of that sort? just curious and thought that might be fun to answer)(apologies if you answered this already i tried to look for it but i got a bit overwhelmed)

Secondly, WELCOME TO THE FANDOM! We love having y’all here, and I’m honoured that you enjoy my blog and content! Also will comment on your praise on my meta here: THANK YOU. I’m very proud of my meta, and especially the SHEER AMOUNT of it I have produced still boggles me mind. Y’all remember when I was creative and thoughtful??? LOL S4 dragged me hard hahah. I still try to write S4 meta, just not as much as I used to. I like speculating, I truly do, but I have so little free time these days because of the nature of my full time job, so I tend to just... do nothing LOL. I find Fic Reccing really relaxing when you have nearly 800 bookmarks. I’m worried I’m becoming stale though. Oh well. I’m just trying to leave my mark here. <3

Thirdly, HAHHAH Thank you for your compliment about my replies to my asks; I genuinely wish I could get more asks finished every day, but I tend to ramble, as you can see, and I just... don’t finish them in a timely manner. Honestly, it’s a relief when I don’t know something because I can then get the community involved to help me out AND I also get new fic recs that way too LOL. I also draft a TONNE of asks and when I do that, I tend to just keep adding MORE and MORE and MORE so I have to post them, LOL.

And finally: My fave episode is TAB; it was the episode I studied the closest and my analysis of the trailer is my “claim to fame”. I just love it to bits. It’s the episode I’ve watched the most. S3 is my fave season, and it’s the SEASON I’ve watched the most, no less than 30 or 40 times. Season 2, then 1. I have only seen S4 like 5 times in full total, and horribly enough, TFP is the most-watched episode: I watched the Leak, the airdate, and I went and saw it in the theatres because I already bought the ticket before it aired so I just... didn’t care. And then at least 3 more times in Watchalongs. So yeah :| I still haven’t watched the BluRay I bought, but I hated having an incomplete set so I bought it when it went on sale fore 10 bucks LOL.

But yeah, S1 and 2 I watched together, and I LOVED the show. I joined fandom the summer before S3 aired, and S3 is when I REALLY got into the fandom. I’ve been pretty much here since then, about 7 years I think now. When I saw S4, it was incredulity and disappointment with it. That’s really it. I’m still a fence sitter these days about the series as a whole, but I’m leaning more and more to “no S5 for at least 3 more years” kinda thing. Just... everyone involved seems so disinterested in the show these days, minus Mofftiss to keep pushing the Sherlock™ Brand to make money.

ANYWAY. Thanks for writing to me!! This was such a joy to read when I first got it, and I just... have been really overwhelmed the past few weeks that I just have only been sticking to shorter asks. But I had some free time tonight when I’m answering this, so THANK YOU.

THE GREAT ND REWATCH OF 2021 / SEPTEMBER 28-29, 2019 // the bonny scot

posting this a day later than normal because this is one of the rare episodes that shows a passage of time from one day to the next yayy love that for them

-wonder what filming these beginning sexy scenes is like for them in real life

-sooooo can lucy see nancys sexy dream? is she judging? does this mean she likes nancy with owen or nick more? or is she trying to tell nancy that her sex dreams are irrelevant to the mystery at hand and she needs to focus?

-seeing people in the ✨prison chair✨: gomber, carson, karen (voting for josh s3 just saying)

-completely ignores carson's question about herself typical nance

-"or maybe i did stumble across a knife" its like hes trying to make the case against him look plausible while attempting to maintain innocence. this is a slippery slope for carson to try and encourage her to keep her pacified + hide the truth while also trying to keep her from getting involved bc hudsons

-"genetics gets you in the door" aaaaand then she walks in to everetts office to meet him and crashes their family dinner

-ok who tf is dawn and why is she in charge here

-this guidance counselor of nicks is my favorite person

-"i admire your allergy to pleasantries" bess and nancy both have reveals to big families but nancy does not have the graceful, accepting reveal to her rich family like bess does at this lunch. nancys reveal is messy, cold, bloodstained and sticky-fingered, not nice in any way whatsoever. and this little chat with everett (bit of a parallel to lucy's) just highlights how nancy is always bad at bargaining with her grandparents*- always trying to fight on their level but giving up her equal hand bc she doesnt know how to hide it when they bring up something she doesnt know. like confronting celia at the masque: she was so confident with her theory and what she knew, but then we got a "what does that mean?" like. the instant you say that, you lose. and she walked right into the "yes i do have someone, hes in jail" 🤦🏼‍♀️ even in the car with ryan at the end of s1, he literally just fucking leaves her there. like 🤷🏼‍♀️ what did u think was gonna happen sis?? for all she can predict how past things lead to present circumstances shes fucking awful at seeing the direct future *(grandparents except for patrice bc her dementia makes her inaccessable)

-lmaooooo this awko ass portrait...i get the empty space is for nance but who on earth thought this was a good pic??

-"will u help the claw for me?" george struggles financially to keep her livelihood while nancy is somehow shown as being taken care of even when her parent is incarcerated; both nancy and george live in single parent homes now with mention of both medical debt and george being breadwinner yet nancy has no struggles while george does. (i wonder if ryan had been able to help george here how the story would have changed)

-"when it comes to following people around without their knowledge or consent i am somewhat of a repeat offender" 😂😂😂

-"you certainly are your fathers daughter" this quote is doubly ironic and foreshadowy bc theyre referencing carson here as being a useful hudson attaché but nancy is playing everett just like ryan played celia about putting his house up (but TRIPLY ironic bc carson pulls off the long con of hiding nancy from the hudsons right under their noses this whole time!) the one time nancy is successful against them

-that bess/lisbeth look while lisbeth does something badass (+diana reassessing now that lisbeth has been revealed to be useful)

-"almost as fun as a real fight" why do i believe him? lmaoooo a bit weird that he would enjoy a fight w a partner, but i also think this is an acknowledgement of nancy being an "opponent" who exists at his level. but i also love the "let me take you out" as a direct mirror of her relationship with nick, where she avoids the public acknowledgment/"going out" but prefers the more subtle/hidden arrangements of staying in. but as shown with later eps, owen is way more capable of meeting nancy where shes at, which is so important to her + the only way of getting close to nancy. (the only foil is ace who somehow is able to do both)

-"not always about a guy" <---- this could have been such a powerful statement if the show had thought having nancy end up alone/choose herself instead of pitting her between love interests (nick, owen, gil, even potentially ace, in only 2 seasons) was a more worthy stance to take ; as an aro/ace person i cant tell you how much i would kill to see just one female protag choose herself over a man. and its more realistic to end up alone than have a happy ending anyway, for all that these shows try to be as "real" and gritty grimdark as possible

-"is that what you want?" this is an interesting question to his mother- like maybe he senses her unhappiness? combined with his issues with his father- still trying to look out for his mom? either way it's sweet. -wonder what all carson knows about the hudsons? + that look on his face when he hangs up... wonder if he was just lying to her about knowing anything or just ashamed at having to admit bad things hes done for them

Havent finished tda yet but taking a break bc i was thinking about tdas and heres some thoughts on whether or not these characters shd be considered all stars or not:

- gwen: yes. Unfortunately for gwen she’s been stirring drama since s1. Unintentionally but she’s been involved in the most dramatic parts of the series (heather reading her diary, her relationship w trent constantly falling out, stealing duncan) not to mention her being incredibly popular so whether it pains me to say it but she is a td all star. Also a finalist for s1 so that works

- heather: absolutely. No explanation needed. Queen of drama. Winner/finalist

- duncan: most popular character in the series aside from gwen. Definitely an all star. Winner/finalist

- courtney: love her or hate her they had to put her in because duncney is still obviously popular and fresh cannot resist a good love triangle. U can tell they had absolutely NOTHING planned for courtney by the way they butchered her but. Yeah all star.

- alejandro: winner/finalist. there to find out what ended up happening with him while also probably just there for juicy aleheather moments until unfortunate elimination.

- sierra: uh....i actually have no clue why they put sierra in and made her go cody crazy. If well written she couldve dominated this. But thats not the case here. She made it to 4th place in world tour which i guess counts for something since zoey and scott and cameron can be counted for that too, but then again sierra was only in for one season and i dont think a lot of fans were very fond of her. Debatable all star status.

- cameron: i PURELY believe he’s solely there due to being a finalist/winner and also bc theyre putting mike and zoey in. In my eyes camerons not really much of an all star he just. Happened to win afsjsgsh. I guess popularity with the fans all star because i do know if anything he had more fans than sierra. Do not understand why they had the whole cam/cody thing with sierra.

- lightning: SHA LIGHTNING! I dont remember him being in all stars or how far he got but. I do think he counts because he was a finalist/winner for a season. All star.

- sam: to this day i still wonder why sam. Like is he rlly more popular than brick or dawn?

- scott: s3 villain. Decent villain. All star.

- jo: okay maybe i’m being harsh with the roti cast because of how little i remember it but iirc jo was mostly challenging brick and lightning sgshsh like i like her, she’s a strong player. Debatable.

- zoey: i mean i guess her and mike come as a package. I dont find zoey particularly interesting. I think they WANTED to do something with her having a bunch of skills everyone was like “whoah she can do that?” But ultimately got side tracked for mike’s storyline. She does have the popularity to be an all star tho, focus couples in every season tend to be popular so theres that.

- mike: all star based on fan popularity. Definitely just there to be the plot line of the season. Refuse to go into more detail.

- lindsay: I ALMOST POST THIS WITHOUT HER BC I FORGOT SHE WAS THERE AFSHSGSHGS SEEMED LIKE A WASTE BECAUSE SHE HAS ALL STAR POTENTIAL FROM HER PERFORMANCE IN TDA. BUT LIKE. IS SHE REALLY THAT POPULAR? IN MY HEART SHE’S AN ALL STAR BUT IDK IF U THINK OF OTHER TDI CHARACTERS THEN THERES SOME THAT COULD HAVE MORE OF AN ALL STAR STATUS THAN HER (coughs leshawna)

Again this might change after i finally get to rewatching tdroti but imo if td wanted to have an all star season they shouldve introduced the second gen cast earlier. To me theres a lot of missed opportunities w characters from tdi that could be considered in a more all star status than some of the ones from roti in tdas.

oh I'll give u a character alright: Izuki, Kiyoshi, Riko and Aomine <333 technically that's four, but what goes around comes around (I'll keep this circle of love goin forever buddy)

Izuki

Why I like them: izuki’s just overall so amazing! he inspires me to give my best in the stuff i do, and although it sounds a bit silly i try to be a person that he’d be proud of. his puns are hilarious and well-thought-out (as a person who loves words and word jokes, i’m naturally drawn to him lol). they’re also a way to take the heat off the team, he’s so hardworking and never views obstacles as obstacles, rather as hills he must climb to find newer skies. he’s also rather clever and employs his brains to great effect when his body fails him! izuki embodies the meaning of ‘eagle’ in the truest sense - waiting to strike when the time is right and not failing when it is.

Why I don’t: *sweats* can’t really think of a reason i don’t like izuki, at all??? i guess he can overwork himself a lot and tends to keep his true emotions hidden which could lead to misunderstandings between friends (although this is totally headcanon territory lol)... i also didn’t like the ableist comment he passed on hayama (“i’m just glad you weren’t smarter than me”). but i think he can (and will!) grow from that kind of stuff, he is that kind of person so yeah no particular reason for me to dislike him at all

Favorite episode (scene if movie): how dare you make me pick s3 e8 izuki vs kasamatsu, hands down. i know its like cliche or whatever but that moment just told me so much about izuki as a character? he’s willing to do what it takes to win, he’s adaptable and dependable and he doesn’t let shit get him down ever. it’s gorgeous

Favorite season/movie: s3, he got some fantastic moments in there!! although i will say i loved the spotlighting he got in s1 in the seihō match

Favorite line: “Fear isn't a bad thing. There are some things that can only be done by cowards.” this is first of all such a nice thing to say. ‘fear is not bad’ is just... so fucking wise? keep in mind that this boy is 17, i’ve met 30 year olds who are less mature. secondly it feels like izu’s speaking from experience?? like he has a lot to be scared of, i’m sure. particularly of falling behind and being a burden to his teammates. but it’s that ‘cowardice’ that drives him to practice so so hard. that visceral terror of weighing on seirin is what pushes izuki beyond his limits - which is why here he can empathise with furi’s fear, and knows how best to employ it.

Favorite outfit: look i hate last game w/ a passion but that lil tie/shirt/hoodie thing he had going? that was literally so cute. izuki in general has a p great fashion sense but his last game outfit takes the cake <3

OTP: hyuuizu oh my god i could talk for years about them but since this post is gonna be very long i’ll refrain. just. they are perfect they are fucking perfect

Brotp: kiyoizu!! kiyoshi is izuki’s biggest enabler and i love that for him <3

Head Canon: izuki can be very very passive aggressive when he’s angry at someone/sad and gets cold and withdrawn. it’s not fun to experience but tbh if you upset him you probably deserve it

Unpopular opinion: izuki should’ve been naturally better in canon. it’s not fair to shaft him and give the ‘trier’ thing off to himuro. that being said i am p happy with who he is as a person

A wish: i want to know how izuki felt after middle school! izuki’s and riko’s backstory focuses so much on hyuuga its dumb >:( he also would’ve been demoralised but he didn’t quit bball and i would like to know his thought process!

An oh-god-please-dont-ever-happen: i. uh. i guess izu quitting basketball. because i genuinely cannot see that happening. it brings him so much joy, he should never stop cold turkey. i can imagine old man izuki hobbling about a court giving little kids pointers and making them laugh T-T

Kiyoshi

Why I like them: lots of reasons! kiyoshi is an admirable person. he’s strong, yet friendly and gentle, and he loves his team above all else, which i just find beautiful. i find his manipulative side also pretty cool, bc it shows off how multifaceted he is.

Why I don’t: this is more of a fandom reason but i really dislike how kiyoshi is always said to have had the greatest impact in hyuuga’s story. he badgered and manipulated hyuuga, and while some may argue hyuuga needed that push, it only worked bc hyuuga had had time to think about shit. he’d also been given space by riko and izuki (two integral parts of his life whom the fandom looooves to sideline for uwu kiyo//hyuu).

Favorite episode (scene if movie): yousen match (can’t pick the episodes)! i loved the backstory we got for kiyo vs mura and i loved how kiyoshi was willing to smile and play but also refused to lose. he truly stole the show despite kagami being the one to finally take down murasakibara, it was gorgeous <3

Favorite season/movie: s2 for sure. kiyoshi wasn’t allowed to shine much after yousen imo - all the focus was on hyuuga kagami and kuroko, and to a lesser extent izuki. not complaining, but yeah

Favorite line: “Let’s go have some fun.” i know it’s kinda cliche but i do love how kiyoshi’s always thinking about playing a good game and enjoying basketball. he wants to play because he loves it and as someone who loves a sport as much as kiyoshi loves b-ball, that love is so poignant and tender

Favorite outfit: practice clothes! kiyoshi looks great in pink <3

OTP: kiyohana. hateshipping amirite ;)

Brotp: kiyohyuu! i love them as friends so so much <3

Head Canon: kiyoshi is half-iranian on his mother’s side and is muslim. i won’t say too much because i am not muslim myself, i need to do more research into this but i’ve had this headcanon for quite a while now!

Unpopular opinion: he should be bullied more for the fact that his canon power is having yaoi hands

A wish: kiyo finds something he loves as much as b-ball. he can’t canonically play at this level again, so if he found another sport/competition/anything, it’d be amazing

An oh-god-please-dont-ever-happen: he should never become demoralised. kiyoshi at heart is a dreamer, so let him dream, let him look towards tomorrow with a smile always

Why I like them: im a lesbian, next. /j i love her because she’s so tenacious and driven. yet she’s also kind and gentle, and never loses her humanity. she cares, and she cares hard. she’s so fucking smart too like... coaching a hs basketball team at 17 against players of NBA calibre and making them win? i could never. seirin without riko is nothing.

Why I don’t: i dont like the constant slapstick of her beating up her boys. also, i dislike how the narrative forces her to act ‘feminine’ and then has the boys think of it as nothing. like first of all if someone like her offered me a kiss i would so take 100, and secondly... why is a girl’s worth so tied to her femininity? it’s awful

Favorite episode (scene if movie): her sending in furi vs kaijō, early in s3. it was an exceedingly smart move that could have only come from her knowing her players’ strengths and weaknesses intimately, and being a brilliant coach. just amazing <3

Favorite season/movie: all of them! riko has some amazing moments each season, so i can’t really pick

Favorite line: “Humans grow. Don't act like you understand when you don't even realize that!” here, riko knows and knows well that she is in her element. momoi might have the data, but riko understands adaptability and knows how to predict stuff. in that way, one can draw parallels between takao vs izuki and momoi vs riko: takao and momoi are recon experts, whereas riko and izuki are strategists. momoi uses raw data; riko manipulates the data to her advantage

Favorite outfit: idk if this is exactly an outfit but her glasses are so cute oh my gosh. (i’d kill to see her in a leather jacket tho)

OTP: rikomomo!!! i’m 100% sure that momoi’s fixation w/riko’s boobs is just... repressed lesbian sentiments. also sports girlfriends gimme

Why I don’t: he’s perverted as hell and i dislike that. it plays into the ‘brutish dark-skinned pervert’ stereotype which is yikes. also i thought we were done with pervs in anime

Favorite episode (scene if movie): s2 seirin v touou when kagami enters the zone!! aomine’s finally happy and it’s so amazing to watch <3

Favorite season/movie: s2, he finally got happiness and peace of mind

Favorite line: “You’re the best!” there’s just so much of pure joy in this line. he’s so so beside himself that he finally has someone he won’t destroy. kagami sees aomine the person, and that person is so happy, it’s beautiful

Meh im not really, i’ve kinda given up on the show tbh, season 2 was like nail in the coffin.😂

I saw! (Core 4 are the only ones i stay up to date with now on social lmao) Its not bad tbf like the people who initially hated her look cant really say shit now 😂

I’m not... completely in love with it. Like dont get me wrong, Anna be looking bomb af and the suit is looking hella nice in terms of it doesnt look like some cheapo costume. Like im really happy she is finally getting the attention she deserves and I’m super happy that they didnt half ass her suit. I was gonna be pissed if they did considering the suit quality the pigeons got and Nightwings suit got too.

I love the colours and I love the warrior vibe of it but I dont like the fact its like... such a full suit? Kory notoriously has skin showing in practically all her outfits in comics and games and shows and movies etc which obviously ties into her needing exposure to the sunlight to charge her powers. (Im not here for her basically naked suits; im looking at you new 52 outlaws 🙄) So I dont really love that they have covered her as much as they have but its not that major tbh. I like her new hairstyle, despite gonna miss her s2 hair; i really liked that one tbh. Tho, im hoping its more red than in pics i have seen so far? They all make her hair look like dark brown or black and that’s a bummer if it is since yknow, kory has red hair. 😂

I am liking the Kory look for S3 tbf. Im still not gonna watch it lmao cos im just not up for setting myself up for disappointment yet again like i did with s2. I have a bit of hope now the suit has been revealed that Kory gets her spotlight LIKE SHE FUCKING DESERVES. (I really hate that Kory is seemingly never a centre stage in anything >.>) but i still dont think people are gonna get dickkory content like they think they are 🤷🏻‍♀️ I heard from multiple people that Kory has a new love interest for s3 as well so its like 🙃🙃🙃

No, overall I do like the Kory look for S3. But tbf, Titans can never fuck up that badly. Kory is my favourite character in every media format and even Titans S1 had me rooting for her but thats mostly Anna cos shes an adorable queen. 👑

I’m so fucking glad that they have been hyping the suit reveal up over the weekend and bigging Anna up for the loveliness she is tho. After all the shit she went thru with this show to start with, its really nice to see so much love being poured her way and she 100000% deserves the love.

3) Do you prefer writing OC’s or reader inserts? Explain your answer.

OC’s all the way because im a slut for character building. Reader inserts are fun and I do enjoy them, but I really love having complete creative control over a character down to their name and favorite color.

6) If you had to delete one of your stories and never speak of it again, which would it be and why?

I don’t have a full story that I want to delete, but I do really want to redo the beginning of TTAT. It was my first fic and I had zero clue what I was doing and I literally cant even stand to read it now. It is cool to see how far I’ve come tho.

7) When is your preferred time to write?

the dead of night. I’m all about posting stories at 4am because I have zero self control, its kind of my brand.

11) Have you ever amended a story due to criticisms you’ve received after posting it?

Yes, when I first started writing I put two characters dialogs in the same paragraph and it was a NIGHTMARE to read. Someone pointed it out and I changed it for the next chapter.

12) Who is your favourite character to write for? Why?

Cordelia. She’s the one character where I never worry about deviating too much from canon because we had such a range to work with from S3 and S8. Venable has also grown on me, although I was scared shitless to write for her because she was so one dimensional in the show (aka they didnt give her enough screentime).

13) Who is your least favourite character to write for? Why?

Bette and Dot. I didnt really like them to begin with and I havent seen all of freak show, so I dont write for them if i can help it. Lana is also a hard one for me to write because I dont think I can do her justice.

15) If you write OC’s, how do you decide on their names?

For Elliott, I really wanted a name that was more masculine yet would still be something Cordelia would pick, since she had a connection to the name choice. I almost called her Carter, but Elliott seemed more delicate and more Cordelia, and the nicknames were endless.

For Lily, I knew I wanted her to go by a nickname, and I really wanted her full name to kind of replicate her duality (Lily is soft but Lillian is a tough cookie)? I had two coworkers named Lily and Lillian, and they were total opposites, so I had kind of a lightbulb moment that happened to tie in with the flower theme of the story.

If you can’t tell, me picking a name takes forever and I put way too much thought into it.

16) How did you come up with the idea for The Thing About Timing?

So I’ve had the idea since I first saw s3 in 2014. I just really wanted more than one season of it and I was real fucking mad Cordelia never got her damn kid. I sat on it for a while and slowly realized I had a whole concept by the time S8 began airing, so I said fuck it we writing today.

19) Are there any stories that you’ve written that you’d really love to do a sequel to?

Well, I already have 22 chapters worth of outlines for the sequel to TTAT even tho the first book has no end in sight. I have some outlines for sequels to my venable kid fic, but idk if I’ll actually continue it and make it into a full story.

21) Tell me about another writer(s) who you admire? What is it about them that you admire?

In no particular order:

@shineestark- BILLIE. AND. AUDREY. A masterpiece, truly. I love everything they write.

@grilledcheeseandguavajelly- Has zero flaws. Their writing is perfect and incredible and I wish I could write like that. Also, Lilac Venable.

@duchessfics- Love that they put so much thought into the plot of a story, even if it’s “just smut”. Billie is so on point it hurts.

@lourdsbitch- Doubt is a masterpiece and you can’t change my mind. Also smut is 10/10.

There’s so many more that im forgetting but I love so many writers on here I’m the biggest fangirl.

22) Do you have a story that you look back on and cringe when you reread it?

Like the first 10 chapters of TTAT. Terrible, I can’t believe I had the confidence to put that shit out in public.

40) Do people know you write fanfiction?

My immediate family, my bf and friends know, but I’ve never let them read it, and I don’t really talk about it with them. I’m weird about my writing and I hate when people I know read it. Cringe city.
