sometimes I think of all the on-the-surface warm, well-meaning but deeply ineffectual advice and attention john gives harrow through harrow the ninth (make some soup and get some sleep! get a hobby! don't be so hard on yourself! self care harrow! as long as I need take no actual responsibility in this relationship whatsoever I would have loved to be your dad!) set up against the stark truth that with his other hand he has been staging her attempted horrific murder again and again and again like a living nightmare on the logic that it will 'put her down or fix her'. and then I find that I wish there is a hell. a special hell where twitch streamers turned necromantic death emperors go

i guess what i really wanted for odo was for him to find a Great Link elsewhere--to be so intimately connected to something beyond the fascistic fear of the other changelings--to start a new community of changelings that didn't spend every second as a unified soup but as quite literally everything--birds and rocks and particles and everything suited for every environment--to find his ending/new beginning in a more distinct multiplicity. i wanted this to be the thing that broke the united ranks of the dominion, the simple concept of the necessity of uncertainty in muchness, and all the ways changelings are the best suited to explore it, instead of a simple illness. or at least, i wanted there to be both? bc it's not like mortality and uncertainty don't cause the same fear. i don't know--there was just something delicate about the character, something delicate that felt to me like the whole point of the character. delicate but not fragile. like his obligations to his kind could've been a little different than them all learning a lesson. i think his thesis statement should've echoed lwaxana saying, "i can swim."

Dear Travelers,
After communications with the voice recording agency, we hereby confirm that Elliot Gindi, the English voice actor for Tighnari will no longer be voicing the character in subsequent versions due to a breach of contract.
At present, we are communicating with the voice recording agency regarding matters of casting and re-recording. We will gradually replace Tighnari's existing in-game voice lines, and issue these updates in the corresponding announcements. Thank you for your support, Travelers!

A bit of art to close out the year, inspired by this costume from MacBeth (1985). It was fun drawing it bit for bit, but I wanted to modify it a bit for more contrast. First draft under the cut for those curious.

It's my annual December 31st yearly curse repellent picture and I want to give the loudest possible shoutout to Vox for being my art punching bag during some absolutely miserable years but also for being in the yearly curse repellent picture that I've come closest to finishing since I started doing art again.
I still refuse to buy into Young Al's high-pressure bs about how it only works if you finish the picture (and it's not really a finished or polished picture anyway), but it's hard not to feel optimistic!

Why was there never a Hotel California episode why was there not an episode about a hotel in the middle of nowhere that looks pretty normal at first glance but the food is strangely bland because they don't use salt, and some of the other guests have no idea what year it is, and the staff are strangely insistent that they can't leave right now, and when they look closer all the people there are ghosts that aren't aware they're dead, and the hotel is cursed, and they're trapped in there
